It was a cold and stormy night in the pack of the lost stars. On this cold and stormy something amazing was  about to happen. Chloe the alpha female was going to give birth. Hunter the alpha male was waiting outside the medical den. Hunter was worried about his mate and the puppies. The medical wolf Kindle told his apprentice Katie to calm down the alpha male so he can work with the alpha female. when Katie went outside the den to go calm down Hunter she saw him pasting back and forth Non-Stop. Katie said"calm down Hunter everything will be okay your mate and the puppies will be just fine." Hunter said" at a time like this how am I supposed to calm down." Katie said " you worrying and getting stressed out will not be good for your mental health,also for your mate as well."Hunter said" you're right Katie the more I stress the more my mate will stress so I must come down." Hunter then sat down and stared at the den opening. Katie sat down as well to keep Hunter calm and they both waited until the puppies would be delivered. 2 hours later Kindle came out of the medical den. Kendall said "alpha you may go in and see the alpha female." Hunter walked inside of the medical den to see Chloe laying down next to 2 puppies wrapped around with her tail. Hunter started to tear up and then he laid next to Chloe. Hunter looked at the puppies. what he saw was unbelievable two males. Chloe looked up at Hunter and asked "what should we name them?"Hunter said"I will name the two boys." Chloe said"okay."Hunter said"the brown and black one will be named Cole the brown and golden colored fur one will be named Leo."Chloe said"those are perfect names for them." Then the medical wolf Kindle came into the den. Kendall said"alpha you had three puppies and total congratulations." Hunter and Chloe said"what we only have two puppies cole and Leo,How is there another one?" Kendall said"I don't know alphas but the last one is a female." Hunter said"may we see her?" Kendall said"sure thing,right away alpha." Kendall went to the corner of the den and picked up the last puppy from out of a bed made of leaves. Kendall picked up the puppy with his mouth and walked over to Chole and placed her down. Chole and Hunter noticed something odd about the last puppy. she was all white with blue eyes. Chole said " no way she can't be our puppy she is white with blue eyes, Hunter is light brown,dark brown and I am a sunny yellow brown how is this possible?" Hunter didn't look to happy to see that the last puppy was the female but a runt. kendall said " the puppy is very special she is important to our pack you will notice this when she gets older." Chole said " her color dose not matter anymore I will name her crystal." Hunter said" very well then but I need to go now." Hunter kissed Chole,Leo and Cole then left the den. Chole notice that Hunter didn't kiss crystal and thought nothing much of it. This is where the story really begins.

Mainly songs of beauty and light in a very slow tempo but are so soothing to all.  Some of her Majod colleagues like Veron think her ideals will only go so far and sooner or later she will be unable to calm the people with her innocent voice.  Despite the beliefs she doesn't stop being who is she is for the sake of others.

Often is seen walking in beautiful innocent silk dresses to show that she does not need to be a warrior or a soldier in order to establish peace.  She prefers diplomacy is handled without such violence present in the room.

They dream of one day flying into the endless sky, even though they are painfully aware of how far away the sky is beyond the glass that blocks their flight.


In a distant future, humanity has been driven to near extinction by giant beasts known as KALAXOUR forcing the surviving humans to take refuge in massive fortress cities called plantation. Within the city were pilot quarters called Mistilteninn, otherwise known as the 'Birdcage'. That is where the children lived... Not knowing anything of the outside world. 

Childrens raised here are parasites and are trained to pilot giant mecha's known as FranXX, the only weapon known to be affective againts tje Kalaxours, in boy-girl pairs, breds for the sole purpose of piloting theae machines, these childrens from the squad know nothing about the outside world and are only ae to prove their existence by depending their race.

Hiro, an aspiring franXX pilot, had lost his motivation and self confidence after failing an aptitude test, skipping out on hia class graduation ceremony, Hiro retreats to a forest lake where he encounters a mysterious girl with two horns growing out of her head. She introudes herself by her codename Zero Two which is known to belong to an infamous franXX pilot, known as the "Partner Killer". Before Hiro can digest the encounter the plantation is rocked by a sudden Kalaxour attack. Zero Two engages the creature in her franXX but it is heavily damaged in the skirmishes and crashes near Hiro. Finding her partner dead Zero Teo invites Hiro th pilot tje mecha with her and the duo easily defeats the Kalaxour in the ensuing fight with a new partner by his side, Hiro had been given a chance at redemption for his past failure. But at what cost?

The two combines together, defeating the Kalaxour in a girl-boy pair, transforming the franXX into it's true form known as "Strelizia". Soon Zero Two joins the squad with Hiro, as her partner. The runors goes like Zero Two as a partner killer and no one can pilot the franXX sith jer more than three times. However, Hiro survives the third round with Zero Two, astonishing others. Zero Two also killed her parents and her partners. She tries to kill her partner to check the capability of her partner. If the person is capable enough to survive sith her till the third round, the peraon passes her test and the person can be her partner. However, Zero Two only pilots the franXX with Hiro, calling him as her "darling". 

She joined them as in to reunite with her childhood "Darling" and as they promised to meet when they'll get together in the future. While when there's a sudden attack from a giant kalaxour and Zero Two reaches to fight with it on her own. Hiro was almsot killed by her but using her blood he catches up with her and they both fight the Kalaxour while the other children's prayed for Hiro for his safety as Zero Two told them to pray for her Darling.

5 FEBRUARY, FRIDAY, AFTERNOON
"You're growing up, you've met your mate, and your dad and I agree you'll need your own space... I mean eventually you'll need your own space. Not now. Maybe in a few years. Not now. Definitely, not now." And then Mum suddenly hugged me, "Oh Sam! Why must you grow up so fast?"
"Isn't it good for me to grow up and help run pack? Then Dad could spend more time with you..." I tried to reason with mum.
"Well yes, but Sam..." Mum stroked my hair, "I guess I'm just having trouble letting my baby go."
"You can baby Sabre." I told her.
Mum shook her head, "None of you can ever be a replacement for the other." Then mum smiled, "I'm greedy that way. I want all three of my babies."
I shrugged. I couldn't help growing up. I needed to grow up. There was a war looming ahead. I had to protect my pack.
"Everything is just happening so fast these days." Mum said, "Even houses are built in a couple of weeks."
Mum marveled at the oyster white glass tiles on the bathroom wall, large glided mirrors, and the wide bath. She waved her hand around, "Ki really came through for us in the last minute when he found the prefabricated home parts. There was quite a bit of redesign due to the constraints in available units, but he managed to work with Chloe to make the amendments... Chloe said the new house was even better than she had originally planned. We even have a pool now."
Uh... Okay... But why was Mum telling me this?
"I asked him how he managed it, and he told me it was a team effort. Harvey was keeping the accounts and tracking the timeline. Ben was dealing with the Future Alpha Office set up and pack house schedules... That's another pup who's growing up too fast!" Mum commented, shaking her head. She should have tea with Mrs Beta and have a heart to heart talk.
But Mum was still talking to me, "But my point is that they worked together. Wolves were put in packs for a reason. Don't run out alone, Sam. You don't ever have to run alone."
I nodded. I was trying to process Mum's point. Did she feel I wasn't a team player? When had I ever ran alone?
I tried to think of an instance where I had been really left alone. I remembered Flynn's words to me in the car. He made it sound like I was always protected, and in many ways he was right.
But I wasn't a puppy anymore. I didn't need my dad or Beta Lucas to help run my meeting or Candance or whatever it was. I felt quite sure I could deal with this myself... Once I knew what the hell I was dealing with anyway.
But even if I got stuck, I had a lot of people at the meeting who wouldn't think twice about stepping up to help me.
But I was the Alpha! I don't need to have several minders around me at every moment the way Henry had insinuated at theatre class today.
"Well, you better take your shower. I'll see you at dinner." Mum decided to leave me alone with my thoughts, "Just remember, Ki, Harvey, and Ben are all just downstairs from you now."
"You worry too much." I told my mum.
"I can't help it. Sam, you're a beautiful girl. And while I know Bell will take care of you, he's also a male wolf. All your betas are male... And now you have new male fight dogs in your wing." Mum sighed, "As a mother, naturally I worry."
"There's nothing to worry about." I told her, "You need to trust me more."
"I do trust you. It's the others I don't trust." Mum muttered.
Even her precious Ki, or Harvey, or Ben? Hahaha..
Mum kissed the top of my head, and then she left.
Dad often said that women are full on contradictions, in which he meant Mum was full of contradictions.
If I was a puppy, then there was no need to worry about the male wolves right? I mean, growing up, most of my friends were boys to begin with. And I would say Mate made it clear that I was just a puppy in his eyes.
If she didn't trust the guys, then why was she taking comfort that they were just downstairs? Or telling me to work together with them?
If she wanted me to be her baby, why was she giving me my own space to run? I pretty much owned this side tower now. Okay, I know, this was my parent's home. But MINE.
Fine, the pool downstairs was shared. BUT THIS BATHTUB, IT WAS MINE.
I filled the bath with water, and found soap and shampoos in "Sakura Blossoms". Ah....bath... It was just as I sunk into the warm soapy comfort when I realized Candance!
So I pulled myself out slopping wet, wrapped a large towel, plodded out to the bedroom, dripping on the soft thick new pale pink carpets, to my school bag left at the foot of my clamshell.
It was ridiculous. No matter how many times I saw it, the giant golden clamshell was ridiculous.
Anyway, it was cold outside the bath. I rummaged in my bag a bit before producing my kindle. Okay, time to get down to grown up Alpha business!
Like figuring out what a Candance is.
I returned to the warmth of the bathroom. Carefully lowered myself into the tub without getting my hands or the kindle wet, and then started scrolling through the documents until I found the document labeled, "First Leadership Candance Agenda"
Bingo!
I went back to the document list and scrolled around. As expected, Harvey had also uploaded and lined up his notes along with the agenda, as well as all the relevant reports. There were now exactly 1248 documents in my kindle. I was current reading document number 5. The Candance Agenda was document 1132.
What the heck.
At this point it did occur to me that maybe I was taking it too easy at school. Maybe I should've been reading my kindle instead of that manga. Maybe.
Then I would be at least at document 8 by now.
Sigh. Hey, Boo, any chance you can use your Wolfie power to speed read through all this? 
{Sure, why don't you sleep with that under your pillow tonight, and I'll download it into your brain?}
My wolf was evolving in the most unlikable way.
Back to the Candance which was, by the way, exactly what Flynn made it sound like. A leadership meeting to keep everyone updated.
And Flynn wasn't mistaken, according to the document, I was chairing.
Apparently, the Candance was called by the Future Alpha Office or FAO. There was even a logo, an "FA" inside the circle of an "O".
Wow, I took a moment to admire the logo of the office that I didn't know I had, printed on the agenda I didn't know was sent, about the meeting I didn't know I was going to chair.
Maybe there was another Sam living here, one who ran candances instead of meetings.
And then I realized, "Ben!"
I mean, since when did my betas ever do anything without consulting me first? Well, if they had, I wouldn't have known. But I was quite sure that neither Ki nor Harvey would have done this without first asking me.
Wait, but Candance was such a Ki kind of word. So was the FAO logo. It was a very Ki style, streamline, modern, with a flash of gold. And let's not forget it was Harvey's notes that were all lined up with the Agenda.
Then I remembered what mum said about teamwork. Gah! My betas were as thick as thieves... How dare they use my name to call a meeting? A very necessary and timely meeting with a fancy name and solid agenda, no less. Grrr... How dare they!
What made them think I would be okay with that?
One word: Ben.
And he was right. I flipped through the rest of Harvey's notes. I remembered Flynn saying how he had been in and out a lot lately. I could see how this meeting was needed to update everyone, and also to strengthen our relationships - this part I borrowed from Henry's impassioned speech about strong allies.
I'm not running alone, so I needed to "think aloud", or at least keep everyone running with me on the same page.
Actually, as I read the notes, I realized I was also updating myself. Even Bell's Underground work had been reported, by Stephan who had made concise and meticulous notes in his weekly reports.
Most of the trouble stemmed from the lack of discipline. "The difference between an army and a group of bandits is discipline and honor." Stephan had quoted in ancient lycan. He was 100% alpha wolf. Lycan Study Group often taught some ancient lycan, but it usually had smaller phonetics spelt out under it. So you just had to sound out the word with the phonetics and look at the pictographic text to guess what the words eluded to. Only beta and alpha wolves had to learn to write in Ancient Lycan. (Calligraphy had always been my pet peeve.)
Stephan's report was handwritten - in full ancient lycan. It would have killed me to read it, but Harvey had a translated copy attached, where only the quote was retained in ancient lycan because I was sure it had to be some well known ancient saying or something.
Traditionally, Alpha wolves only wrote in ancient lycan to other Alpha wolves. I checked Stephan's original report. It had been scanned, but I could see his stamp clearly, addressed to me, and my name was in Ancient Lycan.
In Ancient Lycan my name was written as a flower with a ear inside it. And because I was from the Night Leaf pack, usually the prefix would be a crescent shaped leaf.
I was surprised that Stephan had known my name. But Stephan had written another prefix to my name. It was a complicated one which did include a crescent, but also other symbols.
Boo knew what it was, it was the name for Moon Bell, and a mesh of Night Leaf, Morning Light, Lorent... And even Stephan's pack...

Because wolves could read these things, not by sounds, but by heart. It was the text of the ancient wolf language, before we spoke with human tongue.
Actually, even though most Lycan text was in black ink, real Lycan text was rather colorful in nature. For example, Stephan's pack name would be a white cloud hovering in a red forest. This indicated the color of his packland and the nature of his pack. Ancient lycan was both deep and poetic. That's why it was such a pain in the a****
I thought of the word for what I was doing, contemplating ancient lycan while draped in the bath. It was a very funny word. I quite liked it. I think the closest translation was "languishing."

This would be how the Ancient Text would phrase itself. And then our Lycan Study Teacher would tell us to translate it to English.
Which would read something like this:
I'm feeling lazy and was supposed to be working, but I've turned to mush with all the comfortable steam and smells of Sakura that I have no energy to prepare for the Candance although that's what I should be doing.
I told you ancient lycan was a pain to read.
But I looked at Stephan's report again, and then I dunno, I just let Boo look, and suddenly the words imprinted in my mind, the situation at the underground, the initial tensions, the fight dogs needed an alpha.
What the hell was Stephan doing? Wasn't he a perfectly strong (and properly educated) alpha? And wasn't Bell there? He was an alpha wolf too right?

So I needed to make the allegiance bond with the fight dogs?
I looked at the report again, Stephan had signed off with what I could only translate to as, "Your humble servant."
It was more the feeling than the words. He was submitting to my wolf.
Hm... Maybe this ancient lycan had more use than I thought. It was almost magical, I suddenly understood not just with my mind, or even my heart. My wolf got it.
Stephan was my wolf, and he could do with my help.
Yeah, I should write back in ancient lycan too. Wait no, who was I kidding? I'm an idiot when it came to Lycan calligraphy. I always got the ink on everything. Sigh.
There was a gentle knock on the bathroom glass, "Goddess, it is nearly time for dinner. There is a meeting later at 9pm with Moon Bell's leaders and elders. The Future Alpha Office is also ready for your inspection. Would you like to see it after dinner?"
"Uhm, okay." I answered, "I'll be out in a minute."
"Then I will wait outside your room, goddess." Ki informed me.
I waited another minute before reaching for the knob to let the water out of the tub. Then I got out and shifted, shook out, and shifted back.
I plodded into the wardrobe got dressed into the outfit set out for me. It was a long navy turtle neck matched with white skinny jeans. I checked my reflection. Ok! And you might like to know, my hair was back to the usual length on every side.

It's the first week of school. Despite my failed attempt to make a friend, I somehow ended up surrounded by a handful of wolf classmates, got accepted by the human "cool" girls, and became a vampire's guard dog?

I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... 
Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't.

I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret.

My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack.

It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams.

It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. A Kindle Fire is actually a really great tablet. I owned "one" quite a few years ago and for some odd reason it always seemed to break whenever it was nearing the end of it's warranty. The warranty on it was for a year and each time it broke, they just sent a new one with a renewed warranty. They also always included a new charger. 

The name of the Kindle actually got updated each time it was replaced to (Name)'s 2nd/3rd/4th/... Kindel Fire.

I had mine 9 years ago, but I'd still consider it a good option. In the span of ~3/4 years I think I ended up on a 5th Kindle.

      Now that he was fully armed with the equipment the Demon Prince left for him, Seraph felt the strength that had been sapped from him by his imprisonment return.  The intricate carvings in the black plate mail he was wearing glowing with crimson energy.  

  "This armor is cursed." Seraph realized as he felt the armor leach some of his vitality from him.  He was not overly concerned though, it would be worth the trade-off if the armor helped him to escape this prison. Judging by the energy drain, Seraph reasoned he would only be able to wear the armor a few hours before he would collapse.

  "Plenty of time." He thought, putting the concern aside, a problem for the future.

  The spear he held in his thrummed with a pulse of life, an artifact possessing partial sentience.  Seraph knew its name; this was the spear called "Centurion." Seraph had wielded the spear once before in his previous life. It was a powerful artifact though not unstoppable; he had used it when he slew the demon prince Adremelch.  White energy emanated from within the spear, constantly dealing Seraph a small bit of damage, though nothing he needed to worry about so long as he ignored the annoyance.  This was a spear meant to slay demons and the undead, granting the wielder a boost of moderate healing whenever the wielder was able to strike an enemy.  As a being of the dark with his abyssal traits, Seraph would have to endure the feedback from the weapon. It was not meant for his hands and would not grant Seraph the full use of its powers. 

  Seraph knew the armor he was wearing was cursed, sapping some of his life every moment he wore it.  While the spear dealt with him holy damage for daring to take it with his unholy hands.  Neither of which mattered so long as he was able to take advantage of his personal healing abilities or put into use the healing properties of the spear. 

  With one last final look around the cell where he had been imprisoned, Seraph walked out of the door that had appeared in the stone way.  On the other side, he found himself at the end of a long tunnel, blue and purple mage fire hung suspended in the air against the stone ceiling.  Clinging neatly in even intervals all the way down the hallway, their light from the fires illuminating while casting long shadows.  Along the corridor, Seraph saw a handful of doors similar to the one he had passed through when leaving his cell. 

  Not knowing exactly where he was, as this entire location new to him made Seraph pause and consider his options.  Though he was limited on time before needing to discard the weapon and armor,  Seraph thought it would be worthwhile to explore the rooms.  Hoping to find something to strengthen him or replace his current equipment before continuing down the hall to where he thought the exit might be.  

  He would start with the first room, opening turning the handle on the door directly across from him and stepping into a dimly lit cell.  It was similar in dimension to his, though it lacked the total dark that his cell had had.  In the middle of the room, he saw the body of a monstrous man bound on his back to a stone table,  the room heavy with the stench of blood and gore, the table stained red with it.  An open wound across the man's stomach, causing his guts hung loose.  

  Seraph was unfamiliar with the man and had no recollection of him from his past life.  He approached carefully, getting his eyes peeled on the bound man as he examined the room.  It may not have been needed, as the man was unresponsive.  Lifeless eyes stared back at Seraph, and while the body still heaved breathe, it appeared to be that the man had known too much suffering at whatever horrors had happened here.  Losing himself to insanity.  Seraph recognized the look of those eyes and knew whoever the man had been was long gone.  An idea came to Seraph, it would be no small mercy to the man, and it would provide plenty of benefit to Seraph.

 With a minor reservation, Seraph approached the bound figure, summoning spectral hands with his thousand handed ability and thrust them into the bound man.  Pulling out the essence of the man's soul as Seraph had done many times.  What Seraph pulled out was an oddity he had not encountered before. The man's soul appeared to be a dull golden color, rather than the white Seraph was used to.  Whatever the man had been, he had been powerful of that Seraph was certain.  With some reservations, Seraph consumed the golden essence.

 "Interesting, but it does have a cap on usefulness, though for now, it offers a tempory boost far beyond my current limitations." Thought Seraph as he wondered in what ways he could combine the form with some of us other abilities.

 Dismissing the prompts, Seraph was surprised to see the man's body remained where it was.  Collapsing back onto the stone table after Seraph had ripped its essence away. Still, surprisingly the body was not absorbed by the dungeon. It just lay there lifeless in much the same way that Seraph had entered.  To Seraph this was odd as he had Seraph was odd as he received the notification he had absorbed the man not one to waste an opportunity serif applied his Abyssal touch to the man's body turning the organic matter and to healing energy to repair the damage to spirit and his body that occurred during his incarceration.

      The man's body had been seraph song an emblem drop and picked it up, craved into bronze it was the symbol of Fire. He put it into his spacial pocket and left the room continuing down the way to the next room.

　　黄梦寒以前用过室友的kindle，在写论文的时候，需要查阅大量的文献，所以有一个长时间观看也不会伤眼的电子墨水屏的电子阅读设备，是很幸福的一件事情。
　　但是用kindle的时候，有一点快把黄梦寒烦死了，最后还是有用回了电脑。
　　黄梦寒收集到的有很多pdf人资料，放到kindle上面，需要几分钟才能同步过去，这还好。
　　但是在6英寸上面阅读pdf的体验实在是……一言难尽。
　　竖屏看，能把人的眼睛给瞅瞎，伤不伤眼不知道，肯定能锻炼视力，视力不好的都看不清楚那么小的文字，黄梦寒也是在那个时候才真正理解了一个成语的意思——蝇头小字。
　　那文字真的和苍蝇的脑袋似的，就那么一小点，几乎微不可查。
　　既然竖屏看有这个问题，那就横屏看吧。
　　横屏看文字倒是大了一些，但是有另一个问题也很烦人。
　　pdf的文档是一页一页的，横屏看的时候每屏显示的文字多余一页的三分之一，但是小于二分之一。
　　kindle上面的软件整的，一页需要点击三次，前两页还好，但是到了第三页，他最下面是当前页的最下面，最上面显示的文字不是第二页的最后，是第二页的中间的内容。
　　每次看到一页的最后一屏的时候，黄梦寒为了找到自己看到了哪里，都需要花费很长的时间去寻找，用户体验极差。
　　还不如我国的一个叫做多看的软件做的好，多看这个软件，他是粗粮公司开发的一个软件，可以在水果手机和安卓手机上面使用。
　　多看这个软件在手机上有连续观看的选项，开启之后就能在手机上面连续的看下一页，不会遇到kindle上面那种尴尬的问题，一页必须分三屏才可以。
　　另外他还可以，手动的拖动一点一点的向下滑，这在用了电子墨水屏幕的设备上是一种奢望，因为电子墨水屏的刷新率是一个很大的问题。
　　他上面还有裁减的功能，遇到影印版的pdf文献，甚至可以把边边角角裁掉只看最重要的一部分。
　　这样无形中就增大了屏幕的可使用的面积。
　　听说是有人把kindle越狱后能刷上这个系统。
　　但是毕竟不是原装的，刷上之后，设备死机的概率还有耗电率都明显的上升了。
　　显然第二智慧科技生产的这种叫做智慧电子阅读器的产品，考虑到了kindle上面的那种不合理的设计，根据这种新型屏幕的特点给出了两个解决方案。
　　和手机一样，第一就是可以连续翻页，第二就是可以手动一点点的滑动。
　　“没有数据线，如果我有一些资源，怎么传过来？”黄梦寒向店员询问。
　　“这个简单，你看到了首页的个人图书馆了吗？这里，对就是这里……”店员一边说一边给黄梦寒指出来在哪里进入个人图书馆。
　　“这里有两个，一个是云端的，一个是本地的。云端的图书馆顾名思义，这里面存放的书籍都是在大后端，而本地的就是从云端下载到本地的书籍。”
　　“至于怎么把书放到云端，有好几种方式可以进行，第一也可以利用想kindle那样类似的，用邮件推送的方式，把一个邮箱加入到信任邮箱列表，然后用这个邮箱向一个自定义的邮箱发带有附件的邮件就可以自动同步到云端，这样的速度是毫秒级别的，不想kindle那样，需要十多分钟。”
　　“第二种也是很常见的，就是公众号那样的，在深信上看到什么好的文章可以直接推送过来，不过我们做的更广泛一些，可以在深信上面也可以在球球上面，直接绑定了自己的账号，然后退送过去，当然了，时间也是毫秒级别的。”
　　“第三种，可以用球球账号，加一个固定的好友账号，然后把书籍或者其他附件直接发给他，发完之后，就可以在电子阅读器上的云端图书馆这里看到他的身影，只需要点击一下下载就能下载到本机。”
　　“第四种，如果你使用的是生物计算机，那么在里面的浏览器里面，通过简单的设置就能在右键菜单里面看到推送到电子阅读器的选项。”
　　“第五种，如果使用的是生物计算机，系统级别就支持推送到电子阅读器，如果你的这个账号注册过电子阅读器，右键点击电子阅读器可以识别的文件格式的文件时候，就会有一个选项是推送到电子阅读器上面，可以通过这样的方式来进行推送，当然了，如果你嫌这个菜单碍眼，可以通过简单的操作去掉的。”
　　“那这样的推送的方式还真是推陈出新了，没有想到第二智慧科技居然把一个简单的提送功能都玩出花来了。”黄梦寒对于这点还是给予了肯定。
　　“这些书城里面的书版权怎么说，如果购买的话怎么购买？”黄梦寒问了她关心的另一个问题。
　　“书的版权问题，你不用担心，这些全部是正版的，没有盗版，这些版权都是由我们的王路王总还有杨翰林杨总和很多家电子出版社共同讨论的结果。”
　　“购买的方式有两种，第一种就是单独购买，比如你就喜欢某一本书，那么你可以单独购买这个本书，电子书的价格比实体书的价格便宜很多，原因就是因为实体书需要印刷、装订、传输、放到实体店或者网点售卖，中间经过的环节太多了，每一个环节都是成本的增加。”
　　“第二种方式，也是现在有人正在尝试的模式，那就是包月或者包年的读书服务。这种方式非常简单，和现在很多的视频播放软件类似，通过冲会员的方式，可以观看付费的影片，这个服务就是那种意思，只要交钱，就能看一些付费的书籍。”
　　“第一种方式我懂，但是第二种方式我知道有一些弊端，比如kindle也有这个服务，他们的名字叫做 Kindle Unlimited。
　　但是上面有很多的书籍都没有加入到这个服务中，也就是我交钱了很多书籍仍然看不了，不知道你们对这个怎么看？”

Sael's head whipped around as a small body wrapped itself around his arm.  A tiny girl with silvery hair was wrapped around his arm currently rubbing her cheek against his biceps. "Papa!"  Her skin was the same dark bronze color as Sael's and her mess of tousled silver hair made everyone turn to Nee who for a change wore just as shocked an expression as everyone else.  

"I thought you said not any time soon!"  Ara pointed at both Nee and Sael. "Liars!"

Sael's brow was knotted as he looked from the tiny girl to the mix of confused girls. "I have no idea who this is!"

"At least put some clothes on her!"  Beth growled moving from confused to annoyed.

Waving his arm around trying to get the girl to let go elicited a squeal of glee that only frustrated him more. "Come on kid. Get off!"  Turning to the group of girls he held out his arm. "Come on, stop standing there and help get this runt off me!"

Looking up the little girl pushed out her bottom lip in a pout and clung tighter to his arm making even his bones start to groan in protest. "Don't be so mean! I finally look like Papa so I don't have to stay alone anymore right?"

"Ouch Christ this kid's going to break my arm!"  Beth and Ara were trying to pull the girl off his arm without any success before Nee moved up and tickled her side making her giggle before letting go.  

Once she was free they noticed that from her shoulders down to her hands her arms were covered in silvery fur. Sael pulled a spare shirt out of his inventory and started forcing it over her head.  When her head popped out and she stuck her arms through the short sleeved shirt it went down to her ankles looking more like a gown.  Still knelt down he looked into her green eyes and something clicked. "Wait… are you Silver?"

With a squeal she lunged forward wrapping her arms around his neck in a death grip. "YAY! Papa recognized me!"  Before he could answer or manage to pry the child off him a knock at the door interrupted them.

"Um, one of you get that please."  He was currently trying to pry her arms away from his neck.  "Freaking brat is strong!" Silver pouted and clung on tighter, practically choking him.  

Beth opened the door as Silver cried out "Not brat, Silver! Stop being a meanie!  Why aren't you proud of me papa!  I wanted you to praise me!"  

"Gah it's like dealing with a second Ara!"  Sael growled spinning around making her legs fly out as she hung on for dear life.  All his efforts resulted in just a squeal of joy.  

"Sael, there is some old guy here to see you."  A grumpy Beth held open the door revealing an elderly gentleman in what looked like a formal style suit.  Sael stopped with Silver still dangling from his neck. 

"Hi… can I help you?"  He did his best to ignore Silver who was trying to swing from his neck.  

"My name is Ian. I'm in the service of Duke Kindle.  He has asked that I extend his invitation for a meeting with him to discuss some business." He gave a very sharp bow.

The tension in the room instantly spiked and he looked from one companion to the next.  They all looked suspicious.  "Why would someone important like the Duke want to meet a nobody like me?"

Ian smiled politely. "You seem to underestimate your fame.  The duke is always interested in people who have potential such as yourself.  There is no need for you to be so cautious.  We have made it an official request through the adventurer's guild.  Duke Kindle is aware that with tomorrow's match you mighty be cautious.  This way there is nothing to worry about.  I've got the written request here." He offered them a sheet of parchment that stated exactly what he said and held a fancy symbol that he'd seen on the adventurer's guild.  Ignoring Ian he huddled up with the girls while Silver still hung from around his neck.  

"Well what do you think?" 

"I don't like the fact that the request states you alone." Beth pointed out on the paper.  "How do we even know this is real?"

Nee touched the symbol and it shimmered slightly.  "It's real but I have to agree with Beth.  Even for human nobility I've heard bad things about the Duke."

While he was thinking things over Ian cleared his throat.  "I have also been asked to give you this." He held out a thin rolled piece of paper. "It is a voucher for an advanced skill from either of the two major guilds here in Amalor.  Payment backed by the Duke.  It is an appreciation gift for taking time to meet the Duke, should you accept."  Ian took half a step back in shock as Sael seemed to appear in front of him with the small child swinging freely as he came to a sudden stop before snapping the paper out of his hand.  

"Ok sure let me just get rid of this…" He grunted some as he started prying Silver's hands from around his neck. "...pest off me and we can head out."  

"Really? Just like that?"  Beth shook her head annoyed at his ability to toss caution to the wind when something he wants is in sight. 'Wish he was that assertive chasing me before…'

"It will be fine.  Now help me get Silver off me!"  With a bit of help he was able to detach a sulking Silver.  "Good girl now stay and play with your… um… with the girls"  
Silver was chanting "Take me with you!" before yowling a sound between a cat's annoyed meow and a dogs howl.  

"Sorry, Kids right?" He said as he left with Ian under the disapproving glare of the four girls.

Ian had arrived via a carriage and they took it back to the Duke's Manor.  Having witnessed the wealth spent on his son and from rumor's he'd heard Sael wasn't surprised that the manner was massive.  Still, most of Little Well could have fit between the front gate and the entrance of the manor.  Dozens of servants, all human men and women impeccably dressed were waiting to greet the duo as they exited the carriage.   Polished dark wood and gilded gold adorned nearly every surface in the manor.  While, thick fancy rugs padded the way and overall the manor was just the tiniest bit shy of being too gaudy to be classy. 

Sael was led to a room straight out of some fancy movie.  There were plush stuffed leather chairs sitting across from one another with small tables complete with crystal decanters of various liquids that looked to be dark alcohols.  A cheery fire burned in a fireplace while painting and tapestries decorated the walls. Had there been a desk and shelves of books he would have called it a study.  Ian instructed him to sit in one of the chairs and Sael sank into the overly stuffed seat to wait.  Leaving Ian returned shortly leading in who he guessed was the duke.  It was hard to say what he'd expected the duke to look like, still Sael felt thrown off by the man's normal apperance.  He was younger than expected probably in his late thirties or early forties at the latest.  His blond hair was cut short in what reminded Sael of a military buzz cut and a neatly trimmed van dyke style beard.  He wore an outfit that looked exactly like something a fantasy world noble would wear, complete with crushed velvet and frilly cuffs.  

Sael stood up realizing he didn't know what protocol was like in this world for noble types and wished Nee was there.  She normally gave him the heads up on things like that or perhaps Gregory.  "Sit! Sit! No need to be so formal.  You Arrived are always seem so stiff."  Duke Kindle waited for his guest to sit before reclining back in his own chair.  "I am so glad you accepted my offer.  I've been watching your matches and must say I'm impressed, very impressed." 

"Thanks."  Sael kept his tone neutral.  From what he'd seen of the Duke's Son he expected the worst but so far nothing bad had happened.

"I'm sure you are aware that part of the purpose of the Adventurer's Ball every year is to show off promising new fighters abilities.  You've definitely stolen the show and I must thank you.  I was worried my son would get a big head if he ran into no challenges."  Kindle reached over and started pouring two drinks before handing one to Sael.  

Sael took the drink and after only a moment's hesitation took a sip wondering if he was about to get another increase to his poison resistance.  It was dark and burned a bit reminding him of bourbon but no system messages of ranking up poison resistance occurred nor did he have any negative effects.

"I'm a bit shocked to hear it.  Your son doesn't seem to like me at all."  Sael responded.

Chucking the duke drank down half his glass in a gulp "I can only imagine.  He is still far too childish and thinks himself invincible.  I'm sure it is easier for him to curse your strength than to admit his own weakness.  This will be a good learning experience for him."  

Sael was a bit shocked, things weren't going anything like he expected.  "So, what is your honest opinion of my son?"

"Mmm, He has really amazing armor."  Sael decided to keep his true opinion to himself, the duke seemed friendly but he didn't want to tell him to his face his son was a douche.

Laughing the duke nodded. "It did cost a fortune.  If you like I can arrange a set for you.  Consider it a gift for when you lose."  

Laughing himself Sael replied "Ahh, so you still think your son is going to win? I think I have a pretty good chance. Do I get the armor when I win too?"

Still smiling pleasantly the duke replied. "Of Course not.  Losing is the deal."

Slowly the smile faded from Sael's face as he stared at the Duke. "Wait, you want me to throw the match?"

"Well, not for free of course.  I'll have a suit of armor delivered just as I promised.  Is that not enough? Are you worried about your bet with Gree? I'll match what winnings you would have gotten."  The Duke smiled pleasantly before sipping his drink while watching Sael with cold eyes.

'Hmm a suit of armor and my money… that is a pretty good deal right?'  Sael was thinking over the offer and considering how hard it would be to fake losing when the duke spoke up.

"Still not enough? No worries, I'm a businessman.  And the first rule of negotiating is to know what the other party wants." Clapping his hands, the duke watched his guest's face.  Ian immediately opened the door letting in a number of others.  There were scantily clad elves wearing so little he could easily count their prominent ribs.  Green skinned women he thought might be orcs.  A dwarf woman, he assumed they were a woman since they wore a skimpy outfit showing lots of cleavage under their big bushy beard.  Some blue skinned woman with overly large eyes as well as a bunny girl.  Complete with fluffy ears and a cotton tail.  There were even two fairies one with dull red hair and the other with platinum blonde, both looked to be nearly as scrawny as Ara had been when they first met.  Each female smiled prettily at him with eyes so blank and dead it was like staring into a doll. 

"I've noticed you have a taste for the lesser races. They do make wonderful playthings. A new set of the finest armor. All the gold you would have one.  And a few play things.  You can pick your favorite or even several.  I assure you they are perfectly obedient."

"You're offering me slaves?"  Sael's voice was surprisingly flat compared to how disgusted he felt.

"Sadly, slavery was outlawed.  But don't worry.  Each of them has signed a perfectly legal contract.  They are paid five bronze knots a day.  Of course their room and board comes to ten bronze knots a day.  An exclusivity clause in their contract prevents them from working for others while still owing you so…"  The bunny girl moved closer, her long ears drooping down as she smiled prettily.  Up close he could see she was wearing lots of makeup, but from a short distance he could still make out the discoloration of bruises.

Glancing to the Duke he found the man sitting with a pleased smile.  For a moment Sael thought the fake smile hiding an evil nature reminded him so much of the person he hated most that his heart skipped a beat in a sudden rush of fury.  'I can kill him.  I can kill him now.'  Looking at the girls he hated the dead and broken look in their eyes, the fake happiness they wore just to avoid further abuse.  'Stupid, there stupid.  You can't please someone like them.  They only want to hurt others, to feel better about themselves.'  

Looking back to the duke his heart began to pound and he felt the urge for violence start to well up.  "If you prefer I have human women as well.  You have one in your collection, correct?"

Beth's face flashed before him followed by Ara and Nee.  His heart rate began to slow and the building fury dissipated. 'Violence won't solve anything.  Even if I killed him, would it stop things like this from happening elsewhere? Or would it just endanger those I care about now.  The old me would have lashed out, but I'm not that person anymore.'

Taking a deep breath Sael gave the duke his best smile. "Sorry, I have my hands full with the girls I have now.  Plus, I kinda want to see what that spoiled brat of a son of yours will do when I put him in his place."

Sael expected the duke to get furious, to start yelling and threatening him.  Instead the Duke just kept smiling with those cold hard eyes. "It is a real shame. Sael glanced to the girls who seemed to be cowering back a bit yet still smiled prettily. He considered asking for all of them.  Setting them free but even he knew that wouldn't change their lives much.  And more than anything he didn't want to give this bastard the satisfaction.  'I can't save everyone. I have to think about those already important to me.'  Again, for a moment he considered killing the Duke. Freeing the girls and being a proper hero.  But he thought too of Ara, Beth, Nee, and Silver as well as the other friends he'd made.  Even Aarun's grandmother, a big famous and powerful Guild Master hadn't been willing to go against the duke.  Were these strangers worth risking those he cared about?  Looking at them he hated himself for the answer, no. 

"Sorry Duke Kindle.  But I think I'll have to pass.  So is this where you threaten me or should I go ahead leave?"

The duke just motioned to the door which Ian opened. "Just know, if you leave all my offers expire.  Nor would I expect to win tomorrow if I were you.  I made this offer because I wanted to build a business relationship with you.  And a few inhuman whores and trinkets are a small price to pay.  If you think you've seen everything in my Son's arsenal you are mistaken."

Sael shrugged as he got up to leave. "Just so we are on the same page. You can try any trick you want in the arena.  But…" He turned to glare at the duke making several of the girls collapse to their knees under the weight of his murderous glare. "Try anything against those with me and I'll end you."  He didn't wait to see if the Duke took him seriously or not but left not sure he would be able to resist his killing urge any longer. 

Taking a sip of his drink from a hand that trembled made the duke burn with rage. "Ian, Win or lose see to it that this filth loving bastard learns his place. And get these filthy things out of here."  Ian bowed and started to lead them away before the duke spoke up. "Actually leave the Wagniri.  I have some frustration I need to take out.  Ian again nodded leaving behind the trembling bunny girl.

For Sael being pulled to another world wasn’t something he minded.  In fact, when he found out he was the only one chosen for the warrior class from those he arrived with he was thrilled.  Until he found out in order to receive all the tasty power-ups that always come with this type of situation he must battle a terrifying monster without any of said tasty powers.  Even in success things aren’t quite going the way he expected.  Still, everyone loves an underdog, including it seems the system powering those brought to this new world. 

On his journey, he will make friends with both other Arrived and the locals.  Find romance often when he isn’t looking for it.  And of course new enemies around every corner from the mindless monsters of the world to the diabolical powers behind everything.  And maybe even find time to unlock the secret of the Arrived, if he lives that long.
