When he reached the Nanshan Children's Welfare Organisation, the kids were drawing. After consuming the Little Intelligence pill, the abilities of these kids had improved significantly.
When he first arrived, those kids have left. It was a pity that he didn't manage to see them.
The educational level was currently being renovated. The kids were mainly learning how to draw and listening to Grandpa Zhao's stories about Chinese medicine. They always listened to his stories attentively.
Director Huang said, "Master Lin, what are you doing?"
Lin Fan passed a form to Director Huang, "I saw that there was a Youth Chinese Arts Cup. I wanted to bring these kids to participate in it so that they can improve themselves."

Lil' Fatty had only been drawing for a short period of time and he produced such a good artwork. It was pretty scary.
The Little Intelligence pill played a part and perhaps Lil' Fatty was really talented in drawing.
Director Huang smiled, "Master Lin, Lil' Fatty is really good at drawing. When we saw it, we were shocked too."
Lin Fan smiled and nodded, "Yeah, Lil' Fatty is good. He needs to develop it further."
Lil' Fatty chuckled. It felt great to be praised. Then, he followed another female student and went to play.
Those workers that came to register the kids were also stunned at their artworks.
They believed that the kids were only five or six years old, with the oldest being about eight years old. However, their artworks were absolutely stunning. It was unbelievable.
Some of the parents that registered their children also brought their artworks along. However, they had never seen any of such quality before.
It had to be said that only a handful of kids could match up to the standard of these children's artworks.
How did he manage to teach all of them? It was unimaginable.
Of course, with Lin Fan's gift in drawing, their artworks couldn't have been that bad.

A few buses were parked outside.

"Hey, where are these kids from? Why are there so many of them? Are they here to draw too?"
"These kids are from the welfare organization."

Lil' Fatty was being brought around by Lin Fan. "Uncle Lin, I will definitely do my best."
Lin Fan smiled, "Yeah, all the best. Give it your best shot. Don't be too nervous."
Lil' Fatty smiled and nodded, "Okay."
Wu You Lan said, "Brother Lin, there are really a lot of children here today."
Lin Fan replied, "Yeah, the parents are really focused on developing their kids' interests. Furthermore, Chinese Arts is a national treasure. A lot of kids learn it. However, only a handful pursue it passionately. I wonder how many of our kids in the welfare organization can win prizes."
Wu You Lan sneakily went beside Lin Fan and whispered, "Brother Lin, you said that it doesn't matter if they win anything. But you really want them to win something to prove themselves, right? After all, some people think that the children from the welfare organization are pathetic. You want to change their opinions, right?"

I was curious and hence followed him. A man was standing there with 5 huge boxes. 

Vikram signed the paper and took those boxes. He was looking very happy. 

" What is all this ? " 

" Nothing... Some gifts for our kids. Vihan liked them... " 

" Vikram !! You can't do that. " 

" Of course, I can Rosy. " 

" You are spoiling him. " 

" I am just getting gifts for my kids... What is wrong with it? " 

" What is wrong with it?? You get everything, he wants. He is so naughty... He would never learn the value of our hard-earned money. " 

" Oh come on, sweetheart. He is just a child and we are doing extreamly well. We have our own hospital. You and Maurvi run your own healthy food business along with our hospital. We don't need to worry about money. Everything is for our kids. "

We reached their room. He kissed on Vidhya's forehead and then on Vihan's. Vihan got up and smiled at us. Vikram picked him up and showed him everything. He was overjoyed and hugged his dad back. 

" So no hugs for mom? " I asked him. He hugged me also. 

"Get ready, both of you. We have to go for parents teacher meeting. " I told them and they nodded.

We reached the school and went to her classroom. There were some parents already there. Mehul ji and Megha also came after a few minutes. Their son Mihir was with Vihan. 

It was our turn to meet the teacher. She smiled and told us to take a seat. 

" Hello ma'am !! So, how is he doing in the class? " I asked her. 

" Oh ! He is a brilliant boy... Doing extremely well in all the areas. He is smart, out going and intelligent. But I think you must send him for some creative classes. Like drawing... He likes to draw. " Vikram started smiling like anything. 

" Seriously?? Does he like to draw?? " He asked ma'am. 

" Oh, yes. But somehow most of the times he is drawing circles. I usually tell them to draw whatever they want. He mostly drew circles. I think he needs some practice as he is only drawing circles most of the time." I didn't know what to say, but Vikram burst out laughing at that. 

" Excuse me, sir?? Did I say something funny? " Teacher was looking at Vikram weirdly. 

" Oh no !! I am sorry. You did not say anything funny, it is just that he seemed to inherited it from me. like the saying - Like father, like son. I loved drawing circles and I usually drew circles. My wife usually scolds me for that. " He said giving an amazing smile to the teacher. 

" But, that is ok. Ma'am it's ok. Why do you scold him?? Please let Vihan do, whatever he wants to. I am not telling you to stop him from drawing 

circles. Just tell him to practice other things as well. " Teacher said and Vikram was still grinning. 

" Thanks a lot ma'am, for suggesting my wife to let me and my son draw whatever we want. I will make him practice to draw other figures as well." The teacher looked happy. 

" Very well, sir. He is a good boy otherwise. Just a bit naughty like his friends. One of him already here " She said looking at Mihir. 

We thanked the teacher and waited for Mehul ji and Megha.. 

They also had their meeting and we all came out. 

Megha hugged me and asked, "What was that discussion about drawing circles? " I glared at Vikram and he winked at me. 

" Aunty, you know?? Vihan is always doing that. Yesterday, he drew circles on Roohi's back too. She told him to stop, but he did not. She hit him on head. " Mihir told me. 

" Seriously?? I am proud of my son. " Vikram was laughing so much. 

" Will you please, shut up !! You are spoiling him. " I scolded him. 

" What is the big deal?? He was just drawing, harmless cute circles." 

" Don't even talk to me Vikram... and Vihan, what was that?? Why are you always drawing circles?? And most important is, why were you drawing circles on Roohi's back? " 

" Mom, I love to draw them. I was just having fun, as she was getting angry. " Vihan said sweetly. 

" That is not right, beta. You can not draw on her back." I was trying to make him understand. 

" But mumma, Dad also loves that. He draws on your back. And Ma'am said to practice more. " I was as red as a tomato. I glared at Vikram. He was trying not to laugh. 

But just then, Mehul ji burst out laughing and with that Megha and Vikram joined in. I was blushing like anything. I walked away from there. 

I was going towards our car, When he caught my hand and said, " It is ok, sweetheart. Don't get angry. ' 

" Leave my hand, I don't want to talk to you. You are spoiling him and when I try to teach him, you take his side. I am not going to talk to you. " 

" It's ok darling, we will solve this problem at night. " He said in his low husky voice. 

" No... you can't solve it in your usual way. As you will sleep in the guest room. " I said glaring at him. The funny expression on his face changed dramatically. 

" What??? That is not fair. I... You... I mean... I will sleep in our room only. " 

" Ok, then I will sleep in guest room. " 

" No, Why are you being difficult, baby? " 

Just then we saw Mehul and Megha coming with Vihan and Mihir. 

" Ok!! Sweetheart, I will not spoil him." 

He turned towards Vihan and said, " Vihan you will not draw circles. Mommy doesn't like them. Say sorry, to mumma. And under very strict orders, No circles... " 

" But dad, I love t..... " He placed his hand on his mouth to shut him. 

" Beta, Do you want mumma to get angry with both of us? " He asked and Vihan shook his head. Devil removed his hand. 

" But then how will I tease, Roohi? " He asked in a whispering tone. 

" You just don't draw circles. I will teach you other figures. " He winked at our son. 

" Oh god !!! You are too much. Enjoy teaching other figures to him in guest room. " I stomped my feet and slipped into my car and asked the driver to drive.

His pupils were diluted with the bordering golden and jet black sclera glowing and flickering constantly. 

Just like the flashing projected memories surrounding him in the mind space, Kellen felt as if he was trapped inside his head reliving his happiest and darkest times.

As he encountered a certain memory, its projection in the mind space would appear clearly in front of him like a massive movie screen before vanishing and be replaced by another.

He could no longer here the ghastly voice that had droned in the back of his mind but was unconscious of his state and being as he spiraled through his memories.

He currently found himself in one of his most haunting memories, the day he was taken to the laboratory.

'Huh, what was I just doing? I feel like I'm missing something important, but I can't remember what it is...'

Kellen found himself in an old dilapidated room inside the boarding house he lived in as an orphan. The raging war that was occurring all over the planet had taken the lives and lively hood of many adults including his beloved parents.

Sitting at his small wooden desk, Kellen looked down at the drawing he had been working on. It was a portrait of his mother and father smiling as they held a small boy between them.

However, the boy's face was blurry except for his piercing eyes. They seemed to hold a sense of sadness and longing in them as if he wasn't really in the embrace of his loving parents.

Before he could dwell on the drawing any longer, a loud knock rang out on the rotting wooden door to his room.

The door opened revealing another boy with reddish hair and a mischievous smile plastered on his face.

"Oh come on you cry baby! Are you gonna stay in your room all day and sulk or help me out with my ultimate plan of escape!" said the red haired boy excitedly.

"I'd rather hang out in my room than get wacked by the old lady for helping you with your stupid plans again!" retorted Kellen as he rolled his eyes.

"Seriously, why do you have to be such a downer all the time... Your just pissy cause I left you at the fence that time! Come on, I already told you I'm sorry... I couldn't get back on top the fence to pull you over cause I fell..." mumbled the kid as he scratched his head out of embarrassment.

 "Whatever Thomas! I'm not playing along to your plans anymore! Didn't you here the other kids? Someone is coming to adopt us today. They could be really cool too! Tyler was talking about them being a government agent or something..." said Kellen with yearning.

"What! Are you really gonna believe that snitch? He was the one that ratted us out last time, remember?" cried Thomas shaking his head.
Kellen got up from his desk and walked over to Thomas still standing in the doorway.

"I'd rather listen to the possible truth than the low probability of one of your plans working." said Kellen as he reached for the handle of the door to close it.

"Wait! Wait! You haven't even heard me out!" complained Thomas as he pushed against the closing door.

"I'm telling you this is the perfect time to es..." 
Thomas's words were cut off with the door pushing him onto the creaking hallway floor.

"pff, you're no fun!" 

Kellen went back to his desk to look at the drawing again as he heard Thomas's creaking foot steps fade off down the hallway. 

'It feels like there's something not right with this picture but I can't place my finger on it...'

Kellen stared at the drawing again after Thomas's interruption, but still couldn't get past the sinking feeling he was forgetting something.

As he sunk his gaze into the kid's eyes a strange phenomenon appeared for a moment.

'Wait! His eyes are changing!' Kellen thought in shock.

The kid's eyes had began glowing a blood red color that made it the center of attention when looking at the drawing and caught Kellen's prying gaze.
Staring into the eyes on the drawing a strange headache began emanating from the back of Kellen's mind with faint whisperings.

However, the staring contest between him and the drawing was disrupted with another knock at his door. 

An elderly lady cracked open the door and motioned towards him to follow her.

"Kellen, change into some nicer clothes and meet everyone down in the mess hall. A visitor has arrived for adoption!" said the elderly lady in a strict yet tender voice before shutting the door.

Kellen sighed before turning his head to glance at the picture again if only for a moment, before grabbing a jacket on his chair that was slightly better kept than his other clothes and rushing out of his room.

'I wonder if what Tyler was telling everyone is true? How cool would it be to get adopted by a secret agent or spy!' thought Kellen as he raced down the stairs to the mess hall as he forgot about the strange drawing on his desk.

In the mess hall was around twenty other kids, all of similar ages, that were standing in a line being hit by the elderly woman occasionally with some different remarks on their posture.

Kellen fell into the line as well next to Thomas, who gave him a slight wink with the corner of his eye, before being wacked over the back of his head by the old lady to straighten his slouching posture.

"She's really a slave driver isn't she... We might as well start calling her Fuhrer!" whispered Thomas in a not so quiet voice to Kellen.

"Looks like you never seem to learn your lesson. Do you Mr. Thomas?"

Kellen could hear the raspy old voice behind the two boys getting closer as he chuckled to himself internally.

"Uh... No ma'am?" said Thomas in an innocent child-like voice.

This answer made him receive another smack to the back of his head as he released a small cough.

"Ahem... I mean yes ma'am! I apologize!"

Suddenly the door to the orphanage was pushed open, revealing a tall lanky man in a suit wearing black aviators and holding a small leather suitcase. 
A couple of the kids that were previously murmuring amongst themselves quieted down upon seeing the odd man.

Kellen started to get a headache when he looked at the man but remained standing straight in line.

'Why does he seem so familiar? And why do I have a chill running down my neck?' he thought while he sized up the agent like looking man. 

The agent like man walked over to the line of kids and looked each of them up and down while nodding his head and saying something to himself under his breath.

"These specimen should work..." mumbled the agent.

None of the kids caught his words but Kellen could barely make them out.

'Specimen?'

While Kellen thought about the agent's strange words, the old lady rushed over to the man and heartily greeted him by shaking his hand.

"Ah, Mr. White! Thank you for stopping by. The children and I greatly appreciate it!" she frantically said while turning her head and glaring at the kids.

Catching her signal the children all spoke out at once greeting the man.

"Thank you for visiting Mr. White!"

Thomas didn't speak while Kellen didn't either since he was lost in thought over the man's odd words.

The agent nodded his head and pulled his suitcase up towards the old lady with both hands as he opened it to reveal the contents.

"As agreed upon over the phone. I trust you will proceed with our transaction with utmost discretion." said the agent plainly.

"Of course! Of course! Let me just draw up the papers real quick." said the old lady as she stared at the massive amount of cash in the briefcase with a drooling expression. 

"Ah, no need for that. I trust with your "professionalism" we can overlook those matters." said the agent quickly as he closed the suitcase abruptly.

"Ah, yes sir... I mean no sir!" said the old lady as she repeatedly nodded her head.

"Right, then our business is completed." announced the agent as he handed the briefcase over to the greedy old lady.

Receiving the briefcase, the old lady hugged it to her chest as she glanced back towards the children.

"Go get your things! This kind gentleman has adopted all of you!"

The children were shocked as they glanced at each other and quickly rushed off to grab their things. In a few moments, the only children left standing in the mess hall were Thomas and Kellen.

Seeing the two kids still standing about the old lady yelled at them.

"Didn't you here me? Go get your possessions or you will be leaving them all here!" said the old lady slightly annoyed.

"Uh... Right... Come on Kellen." replied Thomas as he grabbed Kellen's arm and dragged him upstairs. 

Soon the kids were all gathered back in the mess hall with their things in tow and followed the agent through the fenced courtyard outside the orphanage.

"All of you will be taken well care of as long as you learn to listen to orders! Anyone who can't follow orders is more worthless than a walking corpse. So make sure you listen and follow me quickly. Any insubordination will not be tolerated unlike your time at the orphanage!" said the agent cold heartedly as he smirked from under his shades.

Kellen was following the kids in front of him while only holding the strange drawing in his hands as Thomas whispered into his ear.

"This guy is weird.. How can he possibly take care of over twenty kids? I think we should make a break for it now!" said Thomas in a low voice.

"Huh? What do you mean? Aren't we getting out of here right now anyways?" whispered Kellen back.

"I don't know man. It just seems off... Didn't you see how that old crab was acting? I have a bad feeling about this... I'm gonna escape now while I still have the chance! Are coming with me or not?" said Thomas quickly as they passed through the gate to the orphanage, entering the slum like streets of their area.

"But we don't have anywhere to go besides this garbage heap! I'd rather take my chances with this guy than the criminals out here... And you heard him! Insubordination isn't gonna be tolerated..." whispered Kellen.

"Alright, suit yourself. But don't tell me I didn't warn ya!" said Thomas as he slowed down and fell to the back of the group before darting down the corner of the street. 

Kellen could see his figure darting down the street along the orphanage's fencing using the shadows of the evening sun to his advantage.

Suddenly a gunshot rang out from further up the line that ringed in Kellen's ears and nearly made him drop the drawing in his shaking hands.

Sorry for a late release! I was busy today cause I had to pick up my family that was having some work done on their car earlier. Apparently the problem might only be the windshield wiper motors which I hope is the case. Anyways, this chapter was pretty exciting to write since it develops more of the mc's background with soon more to come. If you're enjoying the story so far please recommend it to your friends! The unfortunate Kellen was born in an era of war on Earth and becomes one of the many experimental subjects that are the foundation of project Z. Kellen is labeled experimental number 0 and has been stuck in this laboratory hell the longest. He is seen as the weakest out of his fellow subjects which results in constant bullying and abusing of their power.

 A grudge begins to slowly form against his fellow test subjects, over the many years of abuse and experimentation, before they receive the pity of God for the inhumane acts imposed on them and are transported to another world. 

However, this new world turns out to be very similar to his last with the many secrets, lies, and manipulation hidden behind the mask of reality. The mortal pawns struggle, the gods face their own trails amongst their unceasing conflicts, and Kellen forges the path of a celestial marauder.

With the help of a ghostly patron, a bloodthirsty demon, and his own sheer will, can Kellen finally break away from the chains of his cruel fate, or will he be shackled down once again into the abyss of his past?

Amanda followed Jasmine towards the courtyard. They opened the doors and looked around. So many kids were sitting on tables, on their phones, eating food, talking loud. Amanda stayed close behind Jasmine as Jasmine walked over to her old friends. "Jasmine!! Hey girl what's up? So glad you were able to come to this middle school. What would we do without you?" Jasmine smiled and sat down with her friends. "Guys y'all remember my sister Amanda?" Jasmine's friends looked over at Amanda and smiled awkwardly and waved awkwardly as well. "Oh..uh hey Amanda." Jasmine didn't noticed how awkward they were around her sister but Amanda 100% noticed it. Amanda sat down next to her sister and pulled out her phone. She didn't communicate with any of them, she was too awkward, but the only person she will communicate with is her best friend. Sadly her best friend isn't here. She didn't come on the first day because she was still on vacation but she will be there tomorrow. Though it hurt Amanda to not have her best friend there, she couldn't rely on her best friend at the moment and it looked like she couldn't rely on her sister either. 

For what seemed like hours the bell finally rang. Jasmine got up and walked with her friends, of course, taking Amanda's hand into hers and walking with Amanda again close behind her. They went to their lockers and put their backpacks away and grabbed the things they need for their first three classes. Jasmine waved off to her friends as her and Amanda walked to their first period. "I love my friends so much!" Jasmine smiled and walked. Amanda said nothing as they walked into their first period class and sat down. The first was English, something Amanda wasn't too fond of. Jasmine pulled out her phone before class started. Some girls came over to her and started talking to her. Amanda looked away and pulled out her sketch and continued a drawing she was working on from the day before. Some cute boys walked into the classroom and winked at Jasmine. She giggled and went back to talking to the girls. Handing out numbers, Snapchats, and Instagrams, Jasmine shook Amanda and smiled. "Girls, this is my sister Amanda." The "popular" girls looked at Amanda with disgust but faked a smile. "Hi Amanda." They continued talking to Jasmine. Amanda saw it. She saw it all. Those smiles...they were fake. She saw the disgust in their eyes. She felt their hatred towards her. She did nothing wrong to them. She didn't even know them, yet they didn't like her one bit. Amanda sighed and continued drawing. The bell rang as the teacher walked in. "Alrighty good morning class. My name is Mrs.Johnson. I will be your English teacher throughout your 6th grade year. I hope we can all get along in here and I hope this will be a good year with a good class." Everyone smiled and nodded. "Now then, there isn't any work for you all to do but, I want everyone to make sure they have a composition book, no.2 pencils, highlighters, and sticky notes." Everyone started looking through their binders. Amanda on the other hand, wasn't. She was too busy drawing. As the kids were looking through their stuff to see if they have everything for this class, Mrs.Johnson called roll. Jasmine looked over at Amanda and saw that she was drawing. "Amanda, you should look for your composition book." Amanda tapped the top of her binder. Jasmine looked and saw that Amanda was already ready to go. Jasmine smiled. "So fast sis." "Jasmine Jackson?" Jasmine looked up and smiled. "Here!" "Amanda Jackson?" Amanda didn't respond. "Amanda Jackson?" Jasmine looked at Amanda. "My sister is here, sorry. She's very focused on her drawing at the moment." Mrs.Johnson stood up. "Thank you for letting me know Jasmine. I'm done with roll but I can wait till your sister is done." With that, the classroom was silent. All eyes were on Amanda...something she hated. Amanda noticed the classroom was quiet....too quiet. She looked up and saw all eyes on here and Mrs.Johnson with her hands on her hips. "Are you finished drawing?" Amanda tensed and nodded. "Y-Yes ma'am. I-I'm sorry." She sighed. "It's alright." The other students snickered as Mrs.Johnson continued explaining to the kids what will be happening in class.

First period ended as Jasmine walked out with her new friends and met up with old friends. Amanda walked out as well and saw Jasmine surrounded by girls. She sighed and walked to go find her next class, not waiting for Jasmine now. She mumbled to herself. "Looks like my sister found a group of friends to hangout with. I guess she doesn't need me around. Besides I look like a stupid dog following around their owner like no remorse." Amanda sighed and walked into her next class. This class was math, a class she was very good at and can easily get an A in. She sat down at an empty desk at the back of the classroom. Other kids started piling in. Some of the girls from her english class walked in. She knew Jasmine didn't have this class...she knew would be alone in this classroom with no friends. At that point she was alright with it because her best friend would be here tomorrow. She pulled out her sketch book and continued her drawing. 

It was like this the entire day. Amanda would walk into class, sit at the back, and draw until class started. When the roll was being called she wouldn't answer the kids would snicker and laugh at her. At lunch time, kids would mess with her and bully her since Jasmine wouldn't sit her. Jasmine would be with her new friends. It was the last period and Amanda asked to use the bathroom. She grabbed the pass and left to go to the bathroom. On her way there, she felt like she was being followed. She thought nothing of it first and continued into the bathroom, speed walking their. She got in and went into a stall and closed it, locking it. She sat on the toilet and put her legs up on the seat. She heard the door open as she covered her mouth. 

"Ugh I'm so surprised that Jasmine Jackson is related to that weirdo." "Girl, I thought she was joking like look at Jasmine she's fucking beautiful, she's like a fucking goddess. And then there's her sister. She's ugly and a loner." The girls were laughing. Amanda was able to record the entire thing without them noticing. Amanda felt hurt she didn't know what to think....though they weren't wrong. Amanda always thought she was ugly. Everyone always called her that so she assumed they were right. Their laughter died down as they wrote on the walls nasty and negative things about Amanda and left. Amanda left the stall and saw what they put. 'Amanda Jackson is a freak!' 'Amanda Jackson has no friends!' 'Amanda Jackson is a fucking loner and has no life!' Amanda took a picker of it and looked down. She cried softly and wiped her face and walked out. She walked back to class and put her head down. 

At this point, Amanda felt like it was her against the school. She was weak and couldn't defend herself. She knew she had to get strong but she didn't know how. She knew she had to do it alone but she didn't know how to. That was just her luck.
