She was at the stables now, and there were the kids. Brushing the horses, feeding them, putting on the lead ropes, adjusting the saddles. She stood back for a few minutes, just watching them.
Ranging in age from seven to about eighteen, the kids were from the youth center in Clarity. This was the program that Mattie had told her about, the one that Margaret had started. These kids were from what could delicately be called rough home situations'. Their parents had addiction issues, and most of the kids had experienced some form of abuse. Many had one parent only, usually their mother. They all shared poverty and uncertainty and chaos, and all struggled in school. They all had behavioral issues, and had been labelled problem kids'. Julie understood them well  far better than she had let on to anyone quite yet.
Working with the horses had taught them discipline and responsibility, though. They had learned how to be gentle with the animals, to care for them. And the horses had responded: they gave the kids genuine affection. Julie had even seen the horses act in protective, coaxing ways towards the children, especially the younger, more timid ones. It was a touching, magical thing for Julie to see the kids and animals interact with such trust and compassion and openness. She came down here every chance she could when the kids were at Open Skies.
But if she were being completely honest with herself, she'd also have to admit that she came down here to see Jake with the kids. She was amazed by his patience and calm with them. Even the littlest ones seemed undaunted by his massive height and size and strength, and despite the fact that many of them had every reason to fear and mistrust men, they weren't afraid of Jake. 
She had seen him be tough with them, though. One time two of the older boys had been arguing and the argument had turned into a fist fight. Jake had stepped between them, one massive arm holding each boy back easily, and dragged them outside by the backs of their necks to talk it through. Afterwards, he had comforted a few of the younger ones, who had been badly shaken by the shouting and the violence. Julie had felt her respect for him increase, and she liked him more and more every time she came down and watched him with the kids. 
Jake spied Julie standing next to the door and took the opportunity to look her over without her noticing. She was in jeans and boots, wearing a large coat that covered up all that shape. But her face was soft as she watched the kids, and he smiled. She just didn't know how beautiful she was, did she? At times like this, when she was calm and relaxed and quiet and still, she just glowed.
She turned her head suddenly, and caught him watching her. Their eyes met, and she blushed and looked down. 
He walked over to her. "Hi."
"Hi."
"You down here to see the kids?"
And you. "Yes." She forced herself to look up at him. "And actually, Jake I wanted to talk to you. Not now, if you're busy, but  maybe later?"
"Now's OK," he said. "Is something wrong?"
"No, not really. Can we go somewhere private?"
"Sure." He led her into the office, tucked into the back of the stable area. He gestured to the large chair next to the desk. "Sit down."
She sat, biting her lip. 
"Are you OK?" he asked, watching her. 
"Um. Sort of. I just  I have something to ask you, and I'm worried that it will be uncomfortable."
Uh-oh. Is this about me staring at her ass all the time?
"I wanted to ask about  about Dave. About my father."
He was surprised. "Really?"
"Yes. You were close to him, I know. And I'm wondering  can I ask you something about him?"
"Sure."
"I've been going through his things upstairs, in the guestroom. I feel like I'm starting to know him a little bit, and I think I know the kind of man that you saw when you looked at him. I know you guys all loved him I mean, really loved him. And I'm just trying to understand  how can a man that treated you all with so much love and respect have treated me and my Mom the way he did? I just can't figure it out, Jake, this disconnect between the guy who did that to us, and the person whose stuff I'm going through." She looked up at him. "Can you help me with that?"
Jake leaned back. "Honestly? No. The man that I knew for seven years would never have done that to you. He'd never abandon anyone, let alone his own flesh and blood."
"Oh." She looked down at her feet.
"But he told me things about himself," Jake said. "He said that he was  he was an asshole when he was younger. He said that he was a selfish and spoiled kid and young man, and he made some big mistakes. He never said what they were but I'm guessing that walking out on you and your Mom was one of them."
Julie was looking at him quietly, waiting. She needed to hear this, he could tell.
"The truth is, Julie, that he got too rich too quick, and then lost it all on partying and women and drugs. He had it all when he was thirty, he lost it all by the time he was thirty-two. He hit bottom. He was homeless and strung-out, and all his so-called friends just up and disappeared."
She nodded.
"He got himself together when he was about thirty-five or so, I think. Just started from zero. Worked and saved and worked some more. Fought his way back with everything he had, got clean from drugs. He met Margaret, and she was good for him. He spent two years drawing up the plans for this place and when he was about forty, they got married and managed to get a small loan to start it. He spent ten years building it up, expanding it. He made it successful. He should have been totally, completely happy. But he wasn't."
"Why not?"
"I never really knew. All's he ever said was that he had one thing to make right. One mistake to fix. One last one." Jake looked into those amazing green eyes. "I think it was you."
"But if it was me, he didn't make it right, Jake. The lawyer in New York, he told me that my father had hired a PI five years ago to track me down. The guy found me, no problem, and for five years, he was giving my father reports about me. I found them when I was going through the home office my whole damn life was in there, Jake. He could have announced his existence at any time, and he didn't. Why not?"
"Maybe he was ashamed?" Jake suggested softly. "What he'd done was pretty awful. It wasn't as simple as an I'm sorry', right?"
"Maybe that would have been a good start."
"But it was more than that, right? More than abandoning your Mom and you when he was twenty and a stupid, selfish little brat."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you managed to make something of yourself even though he never helped you. Right? From his side, he'd see you as a woman who didn't need him  who had never needed him. Maybe he was afraid that if he tried to come into your life, you'd tell him to get lost. Reject him, the way that he rejected you. Maybe he even thought that he deserved it."
"That makes him a coward, then. He should have at least had the guts to give me the choice to let him in or not."
"I agree with you."
That surprised her. "You do?"
"Yeah. Totally. He knew where you were, he knew your Mom had died and you were alone. He should have done the right thing and contacted you. I know he regretted not doing it."
"How do you know?"
Oh, no. I'm not ready to have this conversation with her, not yet.
"Just some things he said about regrets."
"Oh."
"You know, Julie, I'm surprised you're even willing to get to know him a bit. You're giving him a chance. Most people would say he doesn't deserve that from you."

The carriage stopped in front of Xia Ling.
The driver, decked in a clean, white uniform, walked down from the driver's seat and gave a deep bow. His clear voice was transmitted to everyone in the area through a mini microphone that was clipped on. "The beautiful and respectful Miss Ye Xingling, would you honor me by taking this carriage that was prepared just for you?"

A reporter was standing next to her.
The reporter had received the memos from the organizing team, and seeing how excited this fan girl was, he couldn't resist telling her. "They are pure-bred Arabian horses that have been raised together with ceremonial horses since they were young. They are a rare sight."

The day of departure arrived.
Abela was packing her clothes, and so was Keith and Kai.
Abela wore a long sleeved blouse with a red vest buttoned together.
She wore black tights, as she wore black boots with her hair tied in a messy bun.
And wore her leather baldric on her waist, that had a sword placed to it.
She wore the red thin bracelet Keith gave her.
As she got her backpack, she went out of her room.
She went down and Ajax was there waiting for her.
Ajax wore a white polo tucked in black shorts, added with brown suspenders.
They were outside the manor, waiting for the rest since they were quite early.
Horses were standing there, as Ajax and Abela were alone.
"Master, how are you doing? I haven't had a decent chat with you for awhile." Ajax says.
Abela smiled and replied, "Thank you Ajax, I have been alright, things have just been quite messy."
"Ah! You have a fiancee now...But you seem to be always flustered when we talk about it. Didn't you have to get married fast, even in your past life?" Ajax asked.
Abela scoffed and said,
"No way, in my past life you had to wait years before you could propose. This is very new to me."
"Well, I heard that you and the prince had a long relationship. If it weren't for these hectic situations, you two would have been married a long time ago." Ajax suddenly said.

"Be careful mom! You might trip!" Abela said.
"Before you kids go, take these with you." She handed a bag of crackers to her children.
"What is this?" Kai asked.
"They are crackers that I made earlier this morning. Eat them during your trip. And, also... You kids may come back when your little brother is born. Your father said that you kids should name him." Duchess Frida says.
"Hm...Noah?" Kai suggested.

"How about Ben?" Abela said.

Abela was riding on Geoff, she remembered from before, as this horse felt comfortable in her presence.
She asked Kai "Where's dad?"
"They left first, because they had to deal with some stuff. He's probably waiting with The prince and imperial knights...right over there." Kai said
As they approach a ton people on horses, including the Archduke, and the Crown prince.
Boman, Wyatt, and Liam waved from afar.
There was also open carriages for things to set up in camp.
As they stop infront of them Robin winks at Abela which gave her goosebumps.
'This guy- we haven't seen eachother for days and this is how-' Abela felt flustered.
"Ewww you two- " Keith teased as he saw what just happened.
The Archduke did not hear what Keith said, and announced, "This trip will take awhile, and we won't make any stops. So, bear yourselves."
He turned, and everyone followed.
Robin directed his horse so he can ride beside Abela.
"Why are you so Embarrassed?" Robin said to Abela who was avoiding eye contact.
"Nothing...don't mind me." Abela said.
Abela clenched her hand on Geoff's sadle, she was completely flustered, her heart was thumping rapidly and her palms were sweaty.
Robin felt bad, he thought she hated him.
He felt paranoid, did he propose too late? Too soon? He furrowed his eyebrows with his negative thoughts.
Their travels went on quietly.
Abela didn't talk at all, and just ate some of her mother's crackers through out the trip.

After hours of travelling, they reach the area to camp, they were somewhere near a huge desert, somewhere they can avoid destroying any natural surroundings.
Some of the men set up tents, while some started the fire.
They placed simple wooden logs as chairs, and created a place for the horses to stay in.
After a few more hours of set up, the sun had already set.
It was already evening, and their only source of light was fire, and some simple lamps.
They prepared a marvelous feast.
There was all sorts of big meats, and food.
Abela felt really uncomfortable being silent for that trip, as her fianceè didn't even ask once what was wrong.
Abela and Kai walk together, after they place their bags on their tents.
Abela had her tent with Odeda since they are female, and other female knights shared in a different tent.
Kai shared his tent with Keith, Ajax, and Aegeus.
While the rest had their own set up.
Kai and Abela approached the table, and it was completely covered by men with big builds. They were huge. They all gobbled up the food like it was nothing.
"Hey hey hey! The kids are here!" Chamberlain says.
As the huge men move aside, and Abela and Kai hesitantly sit down.
They all return to their chattering, and eating.
Abela whispered "Aren't you used to these types of people? Why are you so flustered?"
Kai whispered back, "Yes, but I can't get used to it."
They slightly chuckle as they eat.

Midnight had came around, some of the knights had went and rest on their tents, while some stayed out to guard.
Abela couldn't sleep a wink, so she went out covering herself with a shawl and sitting on the log placed around the camp fire.
She looked at the blazing heat, as lost in her empty thoughts.
Til' someone sat beside her.

Golden Light City was over 2,000 miles away from Youzhou City. It was vast but sparsely populated with beautiful scenery on the way. However, it was not wild. In each dozen miles, there would be a village or inn along the roadside for the convenience of vehicle replenishment. They could occasionally enjoy Hua food with extremely distinctive local features. Since they left Golden Light City on September 21st, Zhang Tie and his dad would drive the touring car alternatively, each one a few hours per day. Whenever they found a fun place somewhere, they would park and loiter over there. Sometimes, Zhang Tie would go hunt some wild animals such as pheasants and made a barbeque on the sightseeing platform of the vehicle. The family enjoyed the trip so much.
On the second day, since they left Golden Light City, Zhang Tie's mom had completely recovered with higher spirit and greater strength. Watching his mom becoming better, Zhang Tie knew that it was a right trip.

In the twilight, when they watched the grass waves in the breeze and the wild antelopes eating grass being not far away in the endless prairie, Zhang Tie drove off the highway and parked it at the bank of a shallow river beside the road. "Dad and mom, how about sleeping here tonight?" Zhang Tie turned around his head and shouted towards the sound-transmitting brass pipe on his side. Zhang Tie braked on a plain ground over 20 m away from the riverside and adjusted the power boiler to parking state. Closely after that, he opened the door of the car and jumped out of it.

The competition between Zhang Tie's dad and the three kids ended with Zhang Tie's dad catching over 30 cm-long fish. Therefore, they had one more fresh fish soup.

Almost close to D' Boleuvere they were stopped by a ship. The captain questioned everyone since Ashton couldn't find the unopened letter of marque, eventually Ella convinced that captain to follow them to Alvin's kingdom of D' Boleuvere. The crew was on edge having a ship follow them but satisfied that Ella convinced that captain. 
With only two weeks of traveling the two ships made it to D' Boleuvere. Rudy, Ashton, Ella, Klutz, James, Galvin, Daria, Wyatt, and the unnamed captain plus one of his crew members was able to rent a buggy and horses to travel to Alvin's kingdom. The rest of the crew of the two ships stayed a board their ships. 
If everyone was on edge a board the ship while sailing they certainly were on the trail; quiet as if everyone was transparent to one another; only Ella tried to lighten the mood but it was useless. 
Although they arrived at Alvin's kingdom everyone still seemed on edge all accept for Ella who was happy to be back in town. Cecil's kids saw Ella and ran up to them slowly so they wouldn't startle the horses. "Mrs. Ella!" Exclaimed all three of the children which was replied immediately by Ella herself, "sorry kids but we need see the majesties first, we will visit afterward; promise." They left happily knowing that Ella and the others will visit later. The unnamed captain and his crew member looked at each other, as if they were reading each other's thoughts. 
At the palace steps like before the guards asked their questions, took the buggy and horses to the palace stables while the visitors were shown to the throne room. 
King Alvin rushed into the throne room and took his seat, on the throne. The moment king Alvin sat on the throne and asked for the story; Ella stepped forward to tell the story. King Alvin then asked his servant to show everyone accept for the unnamed captain, his mate, and Ella to stay behind to discuss the matter. After the party left for the library king Alvin started the conversation after some time, thinking the group was far away from the throne room but Klutz secretly left the group to stay near the throne room to hear if Ella needed help. By staying near the throne room Klutz heard about Ella's secret identity; Klutz then left for the library where everyone should be knowing Ella was safe. 
After king Alvin and Ella cleared up the misunderstanding with Jackson, the unnamed captain, him and his mate left while Ella and Alvin continued talking in the throne room about her and Ashton adopting Wyatt. King Alvin then asked a servant to fetch a couple people to verify and legalize an adoption paper. 
Once the adoption paper was legalized fun, relaxing visitation begun starting with the majesties, into town, and ending back at the palace. Of course everyone was happy to see Ella, her children, and guards but was still a little nervous having pirates there even though it was the same pirates from x-amount years ago. That night everyone was tired from all the excitement that they all went to bed early. 
A few days has passed, happiness was on everyone's faces until one day in town when a guy came up and Wyatt hid behind Ella, the other kids followed Wyatt hiding behind Ella and the adults. The guy came closer and said "that is me son ye biscuit eaters." Ashton stepped between the fellow and his family, "move else ye get bruised." "Me family none of yer business." Ella then said "we adopted him, tis already legalized, been so for day now. A father who hurts and throw his son out shall not be a father." Without notice a brawl had begun, thankfully Ashton, James, Galvin, and Klutz had the temperamental guy pinned down on the ground. "James, Galvin take him to the palace. Tell king Alvin what happened." Galvin and James took the unwelcomed fellow to the palace while the others continued their walk, while watching the children play a little with Cecil's kids. 
That evening at the dining table in the palace was both good food and conversation. The majesties even convinced them to stay at the palace until sometime after Ella gives birth. Klutz was able to tell Ashton privately about Ella's secret identity and her conversation with king Alvin a couple of days ago. Ashton was not happy hearing about that late nor finding out his wife had lied for years about her true self. That night in their bedroom Ashton asked if what Klutz said was true which made Ashton angry for Klutz didn't tell him immediately and Raina lied. For a bit they both tried to talk it out nicely but it ended with them going to bed angry and hurt.

"Dana, will be here in a couple of hours and we are going to the new house. I don't expect you to show up and put on a fake smile." Sheila said flatly.
"I am actually in a good mood. I want to apologize for my outburst yesterday over Dana. You are my best friend and deserve anyone you choose to be with whether it meets my approval or not." I replied biting the inside of my cheek.
"You have outburst all the time, anymore, that is no excuse for being judgemental when your own woman was the same way. You are a bitch and you know it too." Sheila responded.
I decided at this point that their is no more between me and her. I grabbed my breakfast then went outside to avoid anymore confrontation with Sheila when Natalie is still sleeping though it seemed Sheila wasn't done when she came outside with her own plate of food.
"I will miss being here though for almost a year, it has been interesting to know Natalie and see her as a good friend." Sheila said in her saddest voice.
"You are going around the corner, nothing to worry about and you all will be here a good chunk of the time, I am sure." I replied smiling knowing my best friend isn't going anywhere far.
"Actually, we didn't get that house, we are going to San Antonio to be closer to one of her other friends that aren't close minded about us." Sheila responded wiping tears away.
They both ate in silence after that. The bickering came to an end when knowing her best friend is living across the state and they would rarely see each other. Once they were finished, they went inside to enjoy the air conditioning and Natalie ate her breakfast in silence not looking at either of them. By mid-afternoon Dana and the kids arrived as both kids complained that it was too hot. I got up and gave them both drinks as Sheila and Dana ran off upstairs which led Natalie and I to take the kids outside to see the horses.
Watching Natalie naturally handle Tyler and Lily looked adorable making her consider adoption to kids of her own, help her with farm, and have fun as a family. I saw Natalie run towards me with the kids beaming with a smile.
"I know that look, darlin'. You are considering kids." Natalie said.
"It is a thought, my parents would have wanted someone to carry on the farm if anything happened to me or you." I replied smiling.
"If that is the case Tyler and Lily could get used to having chores and living this life." Dana said smiling from ear to ear with Sheila holding her hand.
"MOM!" Both Tyler and Lily said turning red in the cheeks.
"Let's go you two, time to get back on the road with Sheila this time, we got a long ride." Dana said in her motherly voice.
"I will call when we reach San Antonio. Love you both and thank you!" Sheila shouted.
We stood there watching them get into the rental car that they borrowed and off down the road they went. I looked at Natalie who looked like she was going to break herself. We watched the road with hopes this time Sheila would come back but it didn't happen as the sun started to go down, the day went by so fast and now it felt so quiet.
Natalie grabbed my hand as she had her car keys in her hand then ran to her car together. It seemed Natalie had a back up plan but something told me that we weren't leaving home for ourselves.
"Where are we going?" As we both got inside the car and closed the doors.
"We are headed somewhere special. We will be together a year come July." Natalie replied starting her car.
I had no idea what was in store since it is dark outside and who knows what Natalie has planned. Almost a year together seems hard to believe, it feels like just yesterday that Natalie had her car broken down and they met with lust. Love at first sight happened to me a lot especially after Sarah though that she is gone, Natalie has given her so much to be grateful for. Natalie and I held hands on the way to wherever we were going. I am not one to be away from my horses either so this really had me worrying where as to what Natalie is thinking of doing. 
"Will we be back to take care of the horses?" I asked nervously.
"Of course, I wouldn't want to leave your horses and the house alone for too long but we need fresh air for sure. Take a small break from day to day chores." Natalie replied as she gripped the steering wheel.
I sat there and wondered where the roads would take us since I have never ventured out of my home growing up it was going to school and coming straight home to do chores. The only reason I could be with Sarah is the fact we went to school together and our parents were best friends. Now that I am with Natalie, I feel safe and secure though our worlds are miles apart at times. A woman like Natalie is something special that no one rarely sees and it hits my heart that her husband betrayed her and hurt her mentally and possibly physically too though Sarah did the same long before she died. I am learning to love again and mentally accept Natalie as my own.

Chapter 149: Taming Roaring Flame Beasts
A bunch of captives were getting locked up into jail, and the armour and weapons were organized and sorted into the six carriages that the female rogues were riding on. Even the damaged armour and broken swords weren't left out. Chambord Bylaw Enforcement Officers didn't bring shame to their titles at all. The plains in front of the castle were searched by them for more than two dozen times; not even a feather on the rear of the arrow was left out.
Chambord had gotten a lot of rewards from this war.
Except the fifty complete and rare heavy cavalry armour, there were also about more than a hundred shields, more than two hundred spears and lances, more than three hundred iron swords, and more than eighty delicate hauberks. These items were more than enough to fully equip all the soldiers at Chambord. All the armours and weapons that were either broken or damaged could be treated as scrap. They would be delivered to the blacksmiths in the Back Mountains. After some fixing or reworking, new armour, weapons and items would be forged out. It would greatly release Chambord's pressure of lacking proper items.
The soldiers were still busy, but Fei who was on the big black dog was already walking back to the castle with the kids. When Fei was chatting and laughing with them, he was able to tell that these kids were extremely excited.
When they got close to the gate of the castle, Chambord's citizens couldn't wait and rushed out of the kingdom to welcome them back. Young girls had flowers in their hands and threw them on the road that Fei and the soldiers were about to walk on, and things along the lines of "Hail King Alexander!" resonated in the sky and echoed in the ancient defense walls like surging tides. All the kids beside Fei stood straight up and raised their chests. They were proud since they witnessed the notable victory that Chambord just got.
The big black dog [Blacky] was also proud like these kids.
This beast was so smart that it seemed to have the intelligence of a human. With its squinted eyes and big smile, it made people felt like it was another big yet sly man like Drogba walking by them. When faced with Chambord's people, the dog was calm and cute; it wasn't at all vicious or ferocious like how he was in front of enemies. By this time, people of Chambord had also got completely used to this dog who was insanely big. Since it was always with King Alexander and it was so smart yet battle hungry, many people started to address it as the "Godly Dog".
Fei saw his fiancée Angela and blonde haired Emma in the crowd.
Both of them were following Priestess Akara to the Back Mountains to learn about the potion creation and herbs. Although Elena had the situation with her body in midway, Fei arrived on time so they didn't need to hurry back to the castle. They spent more time with the little girls from Chambord's Civil and Military Academy and Akara to learn a bit more. After Akara had to go back to Diablo World, they came down the mountain longing for more. When they arrived at the castle, they heard that Chambord was under attack again! They quickly rushed to the defense wall and calmed down after they heard that the battle was over and Chambord had a splendid victory.
Fei laughed as he jumped off of the big black dog's back. Without minding that there were a lot of people around, he helped his beautiful fiancée get on [Blacky]'s back. Angela who blushed under the beautiful sunset looked like a goddess. In the citizen's cheers and friendly clamours, Fei slowly walked back towards King's Palace with Angela's hand in hand and Emma's in another. The sun created a few long shadow behind them, and the scene looked peaceful and warm.
When passing by Chambord's Civil and Military Academy, Fei dismissed the kids who were following him. Of course, before he let them go, he assigned them "homework". He told the kids to get some feather pens and paper that were made from leather from the academy. He wanted every one of them to hand in a "Thoughts and Reflection Report". Fei wished that all these kids could grow up the next day and become leader material. Chambord at this point really needed talents badly
After a road of laughter, they finally returned to the King's Palace. Fei started to recall every moment of the battle today and carefully recorded them onto a leather sheet. An ordinary student accidentally traveled into an other universe and became the king of a small kingdom. He had gotten a “Cheating Code” of life and was able to complete something extraordinary.
This is the story about a king that was able to conquer continents and leave behind him an ultimate legend that will be recited between every generation to come.

"Edward! Edward! They are charging!" Louis came running to him while shouting.
Frigs nodded as he calmly responded, "Calm down, I still have my eyes… anyway, the soldiers, the wooden stakes, all are ready, right?"
Louis nodded in response, Frigs just smiled as he rubbed his horse, "Then do as what I said, let the cavalries of the enemy charge first and hit the wooden stakes, when they fell off from their horses, tell the men to spare none of them and return as soon as possible to the formation and prepare to fight the infantries!"
Louis nodded before he turned around and ran toward the soldiers while Frigs has a big smirk on his face, "Did they really think lightly armoured horses with chain mail are enough to stop the stakes? It won't there must be some part of the horses that are not protected after that is done, we can just knock those horsemen!"
Just as he said, when the horses made contact with the stakes, most of them were frightened and made a deafening sound of their neighs. The one that passed soon went to sleep because of the poisons. For the men that fell off their horses, they, too, soon fell asleep as well because of the same reason, poison covered in Frigs's army.
The people retreated to their formation when they saw the enemy's infantries getting closer and closer to them, barely making it in time. As Frigs examined the battle on his horse from the peak of the hill, he saw what he did not expect, "The horses!"
The previous horses that got frightened turned around, wanting to retreat, their speed suddenly increased and they galloped uphill. Those infantries charging downhill got knocked down when they did not manage to avoid the horse.
The one that killed the horse with their weapons were tripped by the bodies of the horses and rolled downhill, most got knocked down because of the impact of their armour while rolling. The others found themselves dizzy when they woke up and were instantly absorbed by the wave of infantries.
"Everybody! On three, charge!!" One of the villagers said as the enemies barely reached the layer of stakes.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Charge!!!!!"
Full force, Frigs's army charged with their blunted weapons, blunted, but not covered in clothes, 'Thank god I told them to blunt those weapons with a rock just a few minutes ago, I almost forgot that if I wanted to use the potions, those cloths would get in the way and the potions wouldn't work"
Both sides met each other, shield met shield and weapons met weapons. Lucky for Frig, he got his archers. The arrows soon started flying, hitting the enemies on the unprotected part of the armour as it barely penetrated the skin because of its bluntness.
Even with that all, he was still outnumbered, "Based on my calculation, they only have about 200 troops! I'm not sure if I can win this, but if I do… I'm afraid someone is going to get killed because of the arrows hitting the head!"
He slightly looked back and nodded and then returned his face with furrowed eyebrows as he continued to examine the battle. The effect has started. The armoured against the unarmoured was not a fair fight. Soon, he gritted his teeth, 'I can't win if it's like this! I only have 20 people in the melee fight right now. So far, none of them fell to the ground, but they are badly wounded!'
He hoped, "I hope… that the other 20 men would do a great thing in this fight!"
Slowly crawling under cloths, covered in grass, one of the villagers whispered to another, "Andre, should we uncover ourselves now and join the fight?"
The one villager, probably named Andre, responded as he slightly shook his head, "Nicholas, we can't do it now, they would instantly realize us if we uncover now. You remembered what Sir Edward taught us in the tent?"

Earlier in the tent, yesterday, "Here is my plan, 10 archers, 20 soldiers on the field, the rest 20, hide behind the hill, when I give you a signal, presumably a nod, go around the hill with clothes covered completely in grass and sticks. All 20 of you… you are the most vital part of us winning this battle"

Nicholas nodded and pointed to the commander of the enemies, the two spoiled kids with red and light blonde hair, "Hey, you see those two?"
The two spoiled kids seemed to be sitting on comfortable couches and enjoying some tea as they are overlooking the battle. Andre gave a slight nod as a response and Nicholas continued his words, "Capture those, quietly and then charge at the rest of the troops!"
Louis came running to Frigs once again, "Edward! One of the villagers has been downed, we can't hold for much more if those people didn't show up!"
Frigs nodded, "I understand. Slowly move uphill and move to the defensive, tell the archers to drop their bows and use their melee weapons from now on! Prioritize the wounded first and give them each a healing potion!"
Louis nodded and he, once again, ran toward the fighting in a hurry. The archers dropped their bows and quivers and unsheathed their swords, they then charged. It was just like what he ordered. The wounded were being dragged out of the battle and the others continued to fight.
'Look how brave they are and how strong they are… I really got a good village" He raised his head and saw the two spoiled kids mocking him with their face and their hands. But he smirked when he saw a shadow behind the two kids.
The shadow covered their mouth with clothes, and they fell asleep not three seconds later. It seems that his plan worked wonderfully. The twenty men revealed themselves and stood at the low hill. They unsheathed their weapons and grabbed their shields on their back.
"Charge!!!!" A loud shout that sounded like a roar could be heard by everyone, including Frigs.

A war strategy freak was trying to download a game from a totally not suspicious link. There were ads like normally, but this time, he needed to click the link on the ad to proceed to the next website. Knowing what's waiting for him at the end, he did it anyway.

The next thing he felt was a great pain on the back of his head, by a mysterious, robed man that has green skin. One moment he was in his room, the other, he met with what it seemed to be the creature that hit him on his head.

And the next, he found himself in a group of goblins inside the fantasy world. Will he be able to join them? Or lead them? Or even, getting bullied and got killed in the end? Let's follow his adventure!
