The curtains were pulled up and a woman with sexy, silky white legs wearing a long-slit gown appeared in the middle of the stage. She had her back facing the crowd and as soon as her name was called, the audience clapped their hands and whistled, excited to see how good of a performer she was.
Katherine snapped her fingers a few times in sync with the rhythm of the background music and swayed her hips from side to side until she turned around to face the people, seemingly entrancing the audience with her moves. Walking forward, she danced her way down until she laid on the floor. Raising her legs up high, she moved them slowly… Her dance moves made her movements look very sleazy and slutty, which only served to get the audience even more riled up.
Inside The Gentlemen's Club where it was elite members only, Katherine danced like she was a whole different person. That night, she was Tiffany Stone, the seductress of a dancer who could steal people's souls away.
For the past month, she had gone undercover for a mission. Their target was a man among the audience, Mr. Koh. This man was suspected as an accessory for money laundering and Katherine posed as his temporary assistant-slash-mistress to get the necessary proofs before they move on to the next, bigger mission, which was to catch their boss.
Being an assistant was only an excuse so that Mr. Koh could bring her anywhere like a trophy girl, but her cover as an entertainer in the night club was how they got him to like her. Knowing that Mr. Koh had a specific taste in women and always frequented the club, Katherine had him wrapped around her finger.
Unfortunately, because Mr. Koh was so hooked on her, she was having a hard time getting out of his sight.
"Queen, we've already received the intel just now. Time to wrap up this mission." Styles, the head IT guy of where Katherine worked, informed her through the secret earpiece that she was wearing. It was so small and colored darkly that, under the dark lightings of the nightclub, it was impossible for anyone to even notice.
"Mhmm."
Not caring about any thoughts but her own, she danced in a very slinky manner, yet her thoughts were nowhere as sexy as at that moment. She tried so hard to think about how she was going to end her connection with her target, to the point even murder was on her mind.
"Can I just kill him?" she whispered just loud enough for Styles to hear.
"Well… he's no longer needed. Although it's not really against the rules as long as you can justify your act, what would your reason be?"
"I don't like him. Isn't that enough?"
Styles scoffed when he heard her response. "You don't like a lot of people, Queen."
"Should I poison him? Hmmm… that would be no fun. It might even cause me to be heavily suspected."
"You have a knife on your thigh…" He humored her.
"Ehh… Wouldn't that be too bloody? Plus, there are too many people here…"
"What about a gun?" He snickered.
"Nah… that's too loud… Oh, I know! Guns with silencers!" She became excited. 'Bang!' She imagined the scene in her head as she looked at the target from the audience with a smile on her face. 'Pfff.. that's too boring. I want more from his death.'
Styles only shook his head as he waited for Katherine's performance to end. "You're one crazy lady. Enough of your fantasies, you're not killing anybody tonight. Let's get back on track."
With all these thoughts in mind, her dance number came to an end. After smiling seductively and waving her hand to the crowd which earned her a standing ovation, she bowed before walking down the stage.
"That was hot!" Styles complimented.
"Of course, Styles."
"Have you ever thought of doing this as a livelihood if you ever get out of this job?" He asked. She could hear him munching over his snacks from behind the computer. The sounds of crackers being munched on was pretty loud in her ears, but she didn't mind it at all.
"Who said I was going to get out of this job? I love what I do. And it's not like I have another choice."
"You can dream, honey."
"Someone might hear you over there, Styles. Be careful of what you say. You're supposed to keep me in, not kick me out. Right?"
"Yeah yeah."
Katherine aka Queen was an agent under a secret organization called Shadow.
Shadow was a black-ops branch of the government. It was hidden from the public and the people who knew about it were the agents, the higher officials and the people running it underground.
After six years, she had secured one of the top positions of the best agents in the organization. Katherine was rescued by her handler, Chris from a massacre where she lost her parents and she had been a part of Shadow since she was fifteen years old. Since then, Shadow was the only family that she had known and cared for. If one day, Shadow was on the verge of death… Then she would fight back to defend it with her life.
Katherine was still twenty-one years old but because of her height and figure, she could pass as someone who was in her late twenties.
Seeing that Katherine had already gotten off the stage, Styles started, "There's a drug in the charm of your bracelet. Let him drink it and the team will take care of him once he gets to the hospital. This is your last task for this mission."
Taking a glass of vodka from the waiter, she walked towards her target, cat walking her way through the sea of people until she reached the man in his early forties.
As soon as she arrived, her target snaked an arm on her waist and said, "You looked amazing up there tonight."
The man was very touchy and that was the one thing that she disliked about him the most. Even though she had acted as his mistress for a while just to get close to him to gain some intel, she had never gone beyond hugs. She wouldn't even allow him to kiss her.
Smiling, Katherine held the charm on her bracelet, her finger hovering over the tiny button on it. "You are too kind, Mr. Koh. Here… Let me pour you a drink to celebrate my early success." She pressed the button to release the drug and poured it on the vodka before giving it to him.
Just after Mr. Koh downed the drink, a woman's high-pitched voice sounded from behind them. "You skank!"
When she turned her head towards the direction of the voice, she saw Mr. Koh's wife, hand raised, walked towards her. A few moments later, she was already in front of Katherine and gave her a loud and resounding slap.
Katherine did not evade the slap and just let it happen instead because just before the woman's palm landed on her face, a thought flashed before her quickly. 'I guess this one works too.' She planned to use this chance as her escape from the leech of a target and wouldn't get off her back — in this case, her waist. Maybe this drama was going to let her get out from his grasp.
"Ah!" Katherine immediately pressed her cheek with her hand and covered her face as the wife continued her scandalous outrage. No matter how hard Mrs. Koh tried to hit her, she was barely hurt yet she screamed like she was in so much pain.
The wife simultaneously berated her for being a mistress and for shamelessly seducing her husband. After so much effort from Mr. Koh to stop his wife, she finally stepped away from Katherine.
And like the drama queen that Katherine was, she looked at Mr. Koh in the eye and with a tear-stained face and trembling lips, she raised her hand and slapped the man so hard on the face that she felt her hand immediately burn from the strike. "You told me you were divorced! Liar! Don't you ever contact me again!"
Turning around and heading towards the exit, she wailed her way out until she exited the backdoor.
Mrs. Koh's eyes widened upon hearing her words. "You said you were divorced? How dare you?!" She slapped her husband with her bag plenty of times.
"Honey! I don't even know who she is! Ouch! Stop hitting me!"
Soon after, Mr. Koh clutched his chest and he dropped to the floor.

When she was in a safe distance, her crying stopped right away, and her expression went from pitiful to heartless as she wiped her tears with her hand. She removed the planted mole next to her lip and the blue contact lenses from her eyes, revealing her brown ones. She then took off her wig, making her look entirely different from before.
"You are such a drama queen," Styles commented through her comms, making Katherine smile as she walked towards a black motorbike from the sidewalk. "Great job tonight, Queen… Mission accomplished. Report to Castle for the briefing of your mission next week."
Swinging her leg to ride her Ducati, she wore her helmet over her head and kicked the stand back to its place. The Ducati roared to life and just as she was about to speed off, she replied, "Copy that."

Chuckling slightly, Damien finds her provocation very tempting. "Let's see what you've got."

In a run-down building, hidden by a cloak of darkness. A man wearing a hooded cloak suddenly stood up from his seat, "What do you mean the plan keeps failing!"
"We're...we're not sure why it keeps failing."
The man sat back down, his hand balled up into fists, "Tch...Summon the agent!"
"Yes, sir!"
A few minutes later, a mirror, engulfed in black magic, appeared and a figure walked into view.
"Agent one, what the hell is going on."
"I apologize sir, but I am not sure myself."
"Hmph. Then report. Have you confirmed the situation."
"I tried looking into multiple files of students with anonymous backgrounds, but I was unable to find anything."
The hooded man raised his hand, silencing the figure, "I see. How many suspects do you have?"
"...Only 4."
"You seem hesitant," the man looked at the figure with an intense gaze, "Are you afraid?"
"I- what?! Of course not!"
He smirked, "Fine, continue to search for the target and when you find them, contact me immediately, understand?"
"...Yes, sir,"
"Good. You may go."
The figure bowed and the mirror suddenly disappeared.
The man wryly smiled, "Send agent #2, I doubt we can trust #1 anymore,"
"W-why sir?"
"Was it not obvious? They're hesitant, which means they can be persuaded out of it."
"Oh… I… I see…Then I… I will see to it,"
"Good,"


Omisha woke up in a cold sweat and flinched at the sudden pain. She glanced at her wrist, a large bruise starting to form. "Another one? Are you kidding me?" she thought to herself.
She sighed, going back under the covers, wanting to sleep some more. This was the second time that this happened to her. At least the injury wasn't as serious. "I hate this…" she thought to herself.
She closed her eyes and started to think of home, "I wonder how mom and dad are doing…" she whispered. 
Omisha sighed, getting out of bed and started to walk to the lounge.
She poured herself a glass of water and looked out the window. She sighed quietly and drank her water while watching the sky. Putting the glass in the sink, she walked back to her room.
As she walked, she started to hear someone murmuring. 
Omisha looked around trying to find the source, but the murmurs silenced in just a few seconds. Omisha stood still, trying to see if the murmurs would start up again.
After a minute, she shrugged before walking into her room. Closing the door, she flopped onto the bed. 
Omisha's mind lingered on the attacks for another minute. She sighed once again, feeling annoyed. Climbing under the blanket, she closed her eyes letting herself drift off to sleep.

Later in the afternoon, Omisha and Ash walked back to the dorms right after lunch. Omisha had bought a bag of chips and ate as they walked. 
Ash then noticed her bruised wrist as she put a chip in her mouth. He stopped her and grabbed her arm, looking at her wrist.
Huh? Why...how did he see it?? Omisha thought to herself in surprise.
"What happened?"
"Oh...uh, well you see...I…"
"Another attack?"
"Uh...yeah…"
"What the hell...what is up with you being attacked?"
"I… I don't know…"
Ash let go of her hand and sighed, "Come on, let's keep walking."
"Oh, um...ok…"
As they walked, Ash spoke up, "Are you sure you didn't do anything to make someone attack you?"
"Wha- Of course not!"
"You sure?"
"Yes!" Omisha pouted at him.
"...Yeah, I doubt that with your personality."
"Hey!" Omisha glared at when a male student suddenly sneaked up on Ash.
"Ash! Long time no see!" the student was looked almost exactly like Ash, yet he was taller.
Ash froze and sharply turned around with a shocked look, "A-Adryen?! You're back already?!"
"Of course! How have you been?!"
"I...uh...good…?"
"That's good!" the guy named Adryen then turned to Omisha, "Oh? What's this? Did my little Ash finally get a girlfriend?"
Omisha and Ash both flushed a bright red out of embarrassment.
"Of course not! Dammit!" Ash barked.
"Haha! That's good! Now come on let's catch up. Oh! And hey girl, my name's Adryen,"
"My name is not 'girl'! It's Omisha!"
"Haha! Whatever! Now come on Ash!" he spoke as he dragged Ash across the quad.
Omisha looked at them with an awkward smile. As she watched the two turn a corner, she sighed and shrugged before walking back to her dorm.

Omisha walked through the door and saw Phoenix and Tyler snacking on ice cream. They noticed her and waved, "Hey Omisha! Finally back, ay?"
"Yep." Omisha threw away the finished pack of chips before joining them. "What's the flavor?"
"Mint chocolate chip," Tyler replied with a grin. 
"Can I have some?"
"Sure, there's some more in the freezer," Phoenix replied pointing to the shared refrigerator.
"Oh, cool. Thanks."
Phoenix nodded and Omisha walked over to the refrigerator. Opening the freezer. She skimmed around before noticing the mint ice cream. I grabbed the ice cream and closed the freezer.
"So where's Ash?" Tyler asked curiously as Omisha turned around.
"Oh, he got dragged off by someone," Omisha replied, ripping off the wrapper.
Phoenix laughed, "Hah! Being popular with girls must be fun."
Omisha grinned, "I'm sure it is, but he wasn't dragged off by a girl." 
"Oh, then the guy that dragged him off must be gay." Tyler joked and the other two laughed.
Sitting down at the table, Omisha scrolled through her phone as the other two talked.
She then noticed a message. Pressing on the message, she saw it was from her mom.
"How are you doing sweetie?" it said.
Omisha smiled, "I'm doing alright, what about you?"
"I'm fine"
"Is dad ok?"
"He's alright. I'm sorry we haven't texted you in a while. Our jobs have been keeping us busy." 
She smiled, "It's fine, just focus on work."
"Oh I have to go, I'll talk to you later, honey."
"Alright," Omisha replied before turning off her phone. 
Suddenly the door slammed open. Ash stormed inside with Adryen behind him.
"Oh come on! We're brothers aren't we?!"
Ash turned to him with a sinister glare, "Get. Out."
"Hmph. Fine." Adryen huffed and pouted as he left.
Ash sighed in relief and stormed into his room.
"What was that?" Phoenix asked staring after Ash.
"No idea…" Omisha replied before realizing something, "Did he say 'brother'?"
"Uh, yeah," Phoenix replied.
Tyler looked at them in surprise, "Oh, you didn't know?"
"Know what?" 
"He has a brother and that was him." Tyler looked at them with an awkward smile.
Both girls looked at the werewolf in surprise, "Oh-" Phoenix started before being interrupted by Ash.
"Why did you tell them?" He asked gruffly.
Omisha looked at him, instead of the casual clothes he had worn earlier, he was now wearing a uniform. It had a design similar to that of hers and most students she saw except it had a darker color scheme.
"Why are you wearing your uniform, Ash?"
Ash's hand moved to the back of his neck as he glanced at Tyler, "Huh?"
Tyler laughed, "Did you forget already?"
Ash looked at him, contemplating, before his eyes lit up, "Oh, I forgot."
Tyler and Phoenix laughed.
Omisha glanced between them, "Forget what?"
"Oh, you don't know do you?" Phoenix glanced at her with a smile.
Tyler spoke up, "We really need to add you to the group chat."
Phoenix glanced at him, "James can do that. I'll tell him later."
"So, uh, who's going to tell me what's going on?" Omisha spoke up.
Ash glanced at her, "The Moondrip festival." 
"The what?"
Ash turned around walking to his room, "You'll see."
"Ah…"
The three of them talked for some time. It was late afternoon when Katherine and Omisha looked at Katherine and James, "Oh, hey you two. Where were you?"
Katherine gave one of her bright grins, "I found the location of the Moondrip ceremony!"
Tyler beamed at Katherine "Great! Now we can go!" 
"Don't you need an invitation…?"
"Nope! Anyone can go as long as they know the location!" Phoenix informed her with a smile.
"Huh." 
Ash walked in, "So what time do we need to go?" It seemed he had heard the conversation.
"The ceremony starts at 7. So we can leave around 6 and get there early for food and such." James replied.
Phoenix grabbed Omisha and Katherine by the hands, "Woo! Then let's get dressed up!" She grinned before pulling the two girls into her room.
"W-Woah!" Omisha stumbled before the door was closed, leaving the guys alone.
The guys exchanged glances.
"Well, I suppose we should get ready as well," James spoke and the other two nodded in agreement.
Ash was about to walk into his room when James called out.
"Oh, Ash!"
Ash turned around, "Hm?"
"We need to get excused from class."
Ash sighed, "Fine." He grumbled as he reluctantly followed James.

Omisha glanced at herself in the mirror. Phoenix had gone into her room, snatching a black lace dress that she had forgotten about. Her usual hair down style was now replaced with a high ponytail; the hair tie is a beaded rope-like object.
Katherine wore a green-hued long slim dress. Her hair was decorated with moon and star-shaped ornaments. 
Phoenix herself wore a similar dress she usually wore; a short orange, red, and yellow dress. Her hairstyle was also now in a braid instead of a ponytail.
Omisha tugged at her dress awkwardly, "So, uh, why do we need to wear formal clothes?"
Katherine smiled and replied, "Elves don't usually wear casual clothes and prefer more formal ones." 
Omisha glanced at her, no longer messing with the dress, "Oh, ok."
The three girls walked out, noticing that Tyler was on the couch. In his hands was his phone and instead of his usual clothes, he wore a slick brown tuxedo.
"Wow, you're actually wearing a tuxedo." Omisha grinned, leaning against the wall.
Tyler looked up at her with an exasperated expression, "Yeah, and I hate it."
"Why~?" Phoenix whined as she skipped over to him, "You look good in it~"
Before he could reply James and Ash walked in.
James smiled, "We got permission, so we can go."
"Yay!" Phoenix cheered.
He glanced at us before chuckling, "Well, me and Ash have to change so wait for us!"

About half an hour later, both of them came out. James had gone with a red, white, and black tuxedo while Ash had gone with the traditional black tuxedo. Their hairstyles weren't any different as they adjusted their clothes.
"So are we all ready?" James asked.
Everyone nodded.
James smiled, "Then we should get going."
With a few quiet cheers, everyone put on their shoes and jackets.
Omisha slid on her jacket and walked behind the group as they walked to the portal room. She then stopped and glanced outside the window. Something felt off. After a few seconds, she shrugged the feeling off and caught up with the rest.
They walked into the portal room and James grabbed a key from the inside of his jacket. He walked over to a keyhole and placed it inside, turning it. A portal on the opposite side of the room flash opened. The colors of it swirled in a circular motion and everyone stepped through. 
Instead of the room filled with empty frames, they were now in a beautiful forest. 
Phoenix stood next to James as he led the way and was holding up a flame, lighting up the surrounding area. James then stopped in front of a group of trees. He nodded to Katherine and moved to the side, letting her take his place.
She smiled at him before holding up her palm to the tree and murmured a chant as a magic circle appeared at her hand. The branches of the trees in the front then moved, forming an archway. Suddenly, as if it was a curtain, Katherine moved what seemed like reality to the side, revealing the location. She smiled at the others before letting them walk inside.
Omisha walked in last and she gawked at the beauty of the area.
It was well lit with floating flames surrounding the area and there were tables with elven food. At the very back was an altar with a carving of the moon.
Omisha then noticed that many of the older elves were watching her. 
She started to feel anxious, "I wonder why they're staring at me…" she thought to herself. She was then distracted by the commotion being caused by Tyler. She giggled as she watched him go crazy over the food. 
With a shake of the head, she walked up to the tables too. Her eyes skimmed over the table, recognizing many foods. Picking up a plate, she placed some of the choices on her plate.
As she talked with her friends, she noticed two old elves walk up to her.
"Miss, may we speak in private?" one of them asked.
She tilted her head in curiosity, unsure of what to say, "Um…what about the ceremony?"
They smiled, "The ceremony won't start for another hour."
"Um...Alright then…"
"Follow us."

The two elders led Omisha through the forest with the moonlight shining through the trembling branches that covered the night sky. Many magical animals were also in the area, stopping for just a second to watch them before continuing their own tasks. Pixies would also show up now and then, lighting the area up even more.
The path was just plain old dirt with footprints from the many people and animals that walked the path. Rocks littered the ground, all shapes, and sizes. There were also different weeds and plants that snaked upwards from the ground. 
Omisha then noticed many shiny rocks that sparkled like the stars in the sky. She stopped, kneeling down to grab a small shiny rock. "What's this…?" She asked as she held it up to the sky, inspecting it.
The two elderly elves had stopped and turned to her, "Ah that? That is a mana stone." one of them said with a small smile.
Bringing the rock down and looking at them, she asked, "a mana stone?"
"a mana stone is a stone that holds mana that can give or strengthen the mana of the holder. It is most commonly built into swords. The small stones that litter this path only hold a small amount of mana, so they're not very useful."
"I see."
Putting down the stone, Omisha stood up and they continued to walk. 
She kept on looking around amazed by the beauty of the forest. "I wonder if the Moondrop has something to do with this…?"
The path then opened up into a small clearing. The two elders stopped in the middle.
Omisha also froze, unsure of what was going on.
A minute passed before they turned around, facing her. Their expressions were serious as they held up a hand each. 
"We suggest you duck right now," one of them spoke, their eyes on something behind her.
Her eyes widened as they chanted their spells. Their spells fired and she ducked, bracing herself by putting up her arms. She could feel the spells dart right over her head
Behind her, Omisha could hear several strangled screeches of pain. She slowly put her shaking arms down as she hesitantly turned around. 
On the ground, were several pools of black liquid with smoke rising from them.
"W-what just happened…?" she asked slowly stepping back in shock.
"Did you not feel their presence, young lady?" one of the elders asked.
Omisha sharply turned to them with wide eyes, "N-no!"
"I see."
The other elder spoke up, "We noticed their presence and realized that they were following you. So we took you here to lure them out and it seems it worked." The other elder spoke.
Omisha gulped, her body still shaking out of fear, "I-I see…"
"Now, let us head back."
"...right."
They started walking back to the ceremony grounds and Omisha lagged behind. What do those shadows want…?
She sighed, "Why would shadows of all things want her dead? Or… is there a mastermind behind this?" Her eyes widened at the realization. She placed her hand on her chin as she thought.
Soon, they were back at the ceremony grounds. Ash noticed Omisha as she walked in. 
He walked up to her, "Where were you?" He asked briskly, although that was overshadowed by the concern in his eyes.
"Oh...um some shadow monsters were following me or something…" she whispered.
Ash blinked in surprise, "What happened to them?"
Omisha gripped her shaking arm, looking down at the ground, "Some of the elders here dealt with them…'
"Oh…" After a few seconds, he randomly placed a hand on her head before ruffling her hair.
"H-hey!" She protested as she put her hands on her head and stepped back.
"...The attacks will stop soon, you're safe here…" he spoke, pulling his hand away and turned around, about to walk away.
She glanced at his turned back before gripping onto his sleeve, stopping him, "...You're not even sure, are you?"
He didn't answer.
Omisha sighed after a few seconds before letting go. She forced a smile, "I think the ceremony is going to start. Let's go." 
Ash looked at her before nodding, following after her.
They walked to the center of the grounds and found the others near the edge of the crowd.
"What's going on?" Omisha asked.
"They're starting the ceremony." Tyler hissed, motioning for them to come over. They had saved them some seats and they watched from a distance.
The elders chanted a spell and a magic circle appeared on the stone altar. In a second, an elixir with a bright shining blue liquid materialized. The liquid seemed to shine like the moon.
They then started to chant again after a minute break. This time it seemed they were making a barrier of some sort. After some time, the elixir turned to stone.
Omisha looked in surprise, "Why would they turn it to stone?" She whispered.
Ash leaned in, "Extra precautions. Only certified elders can undo the spell."
"Oh,"
The ceremony dragged on for some time. The elders were setting up more protective spells. 
The moondrip must be important for them to be using so many spells to protect it, Omisha observed.
After a long while, the ceremony finally concluded. It was about midnight by now, 
After eating some food and talking, the group walked back to the dorms. 
Omisha glanced at the ground, noticing the mana stones. She paused and knelt down, grabbing some of the stones. 
She glanced at them, stuffing a few into her bag before quickly catching up with the others.
When they arrived at the apartment, they all said goodnight before going to their respective rooms.
Omisha changed out of her clothes and into pajamas before sitting at her desk. She glanced at the stones and placed them on her desk. 
She thought for a second, "maybe I could make this into something…"
After a minute, nothing possible came into mind. With a sigh, she scooped up the stones and put them in a drawer. 
She turned off the lights before getting comfortable under her blankets. Omisha soon drifted off into the realm of sleep.

Almost like he guessed what Claire was thinking, Walter immediately added, "Don't ask me, I don't know either. I only do things for money."  But, this mission sure was costly, he paid with his life and didn't even touch a corner of his target's clothes. All because of that wretched Holy Divine Prince, who has nothing better to do than to come to Gale Gorge for medicinal herbs. It would be fine if it was anyone else from the Temple of Light, but it had to be that overpowered Holy Divine Prince! Walter still felt scared every time he thought about that one-sided defeat.

Claire didn't ask anymore, knowing it would be useless.

"Claire, let's return together." Princess Maurice happily walked over. She had already safely stored the beast core that Claire gave her away.

Claire accepted Maurice's invitation and after resting for a while, the group returned back to the city.

"Claire, next weekend is my birthday, and my father, the King, has prepared a birthday banquet. You must come." Princess Maurice invited Claire on the way. Of course, a formal invitation card would also be sent to the Hill castle.

"Sure." Claire agreed with a smile.

On the road, Maurice clung to Claire and made Claire tell her everything that happened in Gale Gorge. Jean and Nancy walked in the front, Maurice and Claire were in the middle, and the three warriors walked in the back.

Maurice was so brisk and lively right now, completely different from how solemn she was at the Institute. This must be her true personality.

The group traveled to Berthe without a hitch. At the city gates, they parted ways. Maurice was reluctant to leave and only left after reminding Claire she must be present at her birthday banquet.

After Claire went to the Mercenary Guild to turn in her task, she went back to the Duke's castle.

"Miss, you've come back. The Duke wants you to go to the study as soon as you arrive." The housekeeper at the door respectfully passed on the message. The stiff housekeeper's attitude towards Claire had totally changed. It wasn't because of the Duke's doting on Claire, but because he wasn't an ordinary man. He was an unusually powerful person. He felt Claire's changes and also believed that she was the Hill clan's future hope.

"Okay." Claire indifferently replied. She went to the study without even changing her clothes.

She knocked on the study door lightly, and Gordan's dignified voice replied, "Come in."

Claire entered the study through the door and Jean waited outside.

"Grandfather, I'm back." Claire said quietly, looking at the dignified old man sitting behind the study desk. Emery stood aside, wearing a brown robe.

"Yes, being back is good." Gordan nodded. He got up, smiling. "How did it go?"

"Not bad. I killed some third grade and fourth grade magic beasts." Claire reported seriously. Then she glanced at Emery. Emery already understood from Claire's gaze that everything must have gone successfully, so his heart settled down.

"Good. Did you get injured?" Gordan walked up to her, concerned.

"No." Claire shook her head.

"Haha, not bad, not bad. This is how a member of the Hill clan should be." Gordan happily nodded.

"Also, Grandfather, I met the wizard sage Cliff." Claire suddenly changed the topic.

"Oh? And then?" Gordan asked eagerly.

"He's a perverted old man." Claire said solemnly.

Gordan's face twitched and he didn't know what to say. Cliff, that wizard sage, was definitely a huge pervert. All the beautiful female teachers of the Sunrise Institute had been molested by him before, either by trying to touch their chests or lifting their dresses.

Emery had an odd expression on his face, like he wanted to laugh, but this wasn't the right time to.

"He forced me to become his disciple and gave me a Transportation Bracelet, Invisiblility Cloak, and stuff like that." This additional sentence made Gordan go wild with joy.

"Really? You're sure? It's like this? Haha, this is too good." Gordan slightly convulsed, his words stumbling over one another. Then he became pleased with himself, "I just knew my darling Claire would be chosen by him."

Although Gordan was exceptionally happy, Claire looked towards Emery. Emery's expression was a bit complicated. He was both happy for Claire but also slightly dejected.

"It was Cliff who forced me to become his disciple, so he had to agree with a condition that I brought up." Claire saw Emery's expression and unexpectedly said these sentences.

"What?" Gordan came back to his senses. Hearing that his darling granddaughter was so arrogant, he was a bit worried if this would anger the impressive Cliff.

"I only had one condition. I already had a master, so he could only be my second master, and if he couldn't accept it, then he forget could about it. He agreed." Claire stated flatly.

As soon as Claire finished saying this, Gordan's mouth hung open and was speechless for a long time.

Throughout the whole world, Claire must be the only person to negotiate when becoming a disciple, and to a wizard sage, and with such a harsh condition!

But Emery was completely frozen. He of course understood the meaning of Claire's words, of course knew who she meant when she was talking about her first master. For many years he had thought his tear glands were dry, but today, he felt them getting moist.

"Grandfather, you don't need to worry, I know my boundaries. Also, things that I decide will never change." Claire said seriously.

Gordan was shocked, and it took him a while to come back to his senses. He then roared with laughter, "Good! Worthy of being my granddaughter. Exactly how I was like when I was young. I won't worry, I believe you will deal with this properly."

"Thank you for understanding, Grandfather." Claire smiled faintly.

"You must be tired, so you should go wash and change your clothes and then visit your mother." Gordan was obviously very pleased and happy. He thought of how to spread out that Cliff had accepted Claire as his disciple as fast as possible, and he also wanted to ask Jean about the details.

After Claire left, Gordan turned towards Emery, a complex expression in his eyes.

"Emery, you can see that Claire, that child, has made up her mind already." Gordan sighed heavily.

"Yes, your Grace, I… " Emery didn't know what to say. His heart was so warmed and touched that it was about to melt completely.

"I just hope you don't let down Claire's kind intentions." Gordan let out a long sigh.

"Your Grace, don't worry. I understand." Emery said emotionally. At this moment, he had already fully given his heart to Claire.

"Then that's good. Hehe, you can go now. I imagine you have a lot of things to say to that child. I need to find Jean to learn about some things, you can leave." Gordan nodded his head with a smile.

"Yes." Emery bowed and also left.

That night, no one knew what Gordan and Jean discussed in the study.

After showering and changing clothes, Claire went to meet Katherine. Seeing Claire return safe and sound, Katherine was extremely happy. Only after eating dinner with Katherine did Claire go rest. Lashia never showed up; Katherine said Lashia went to the principal's to study.

Not long after Claire returned to her room did she hear a tap on her window. Claire naturally knew who it was, opening the window and moving out of the way for Emery to enter.

"Teacher, you came just at the right time. I have some things to consult with you." When Claire saw Emery, her mood was quite happy.

Emery smiled while looking at the girl in front of him profoundly. After setting up a magic hood with a wave of his hand he asked, "Claire, did everything go smoothly this time?"

"Yes, it was successful. I learned the arcanum, it's just that there's a lot of information to digest. I wanted to ask teacher about this." Claire brought out the Spiritual Stone she had been carrying.

"Spiritual Stone!" Emery was hugely surprised. Looking at the valuable treasure in Claire's hand, he couldn't help but exclaim.

Claire handed the stone over to Emery and Emery inspected it carefully. "Ah! There's something inside."

"An idiot couldn't win against someone and lost his body, then attached his soul to this. It's a dark magician called Walter Simon," Claire replied indifferently.

"Walter Simon?!" Emery exclaimed again.

"What is it? Teacher, is this guy famous?" Claire was doubtful.

"He's a genius, the genius of dark magicians. Sinister, crafty, cunning, and shameless, he's wanted by the Temple of Light. But he escaped safely every time. But this time… " Emery looked at the Spiritual Stone in his hand curiously, as if doubting if the soul inside was the Walter he knew.

"Is he really that clever?" Claire smirked and then said lightly, "He met the Holy Divine Prince of the Temple of Light."

"Ah! Then it's not strange at all." Now Emery didn't find the situation weird any more.

"Walter, come out! Otherwise I'll make you wish you were dead." Claire coldly commanded.

The next moment, smoke spiraled out from the small stone in Emery's hand and a human image instantly formed.

"It really is the dark magician genius Walter Simon!" Emery looked at the figure and stated certainly.

"That's me," Walter said haughtily.

"Do you want a beating? Speaking to my teacher in such a manner!" Claire's eyes shot out an icy light.

"Oh, exalted magician, I am the Walter Simon. What is your command?" Walter immediately switched to a flattering tone.

Emery blinked. Why did he feel that the aura between his darling disciple and this guy was so complex?

"Hey, I know." Emery raised his eyebrows, a bold idea forming in his head.

This was the first time Claire saw the normally expressionless Emery grinning evilly.

For no reason at all, Walter's whole body suddenly felt cold.

*Katherine's POV*
Katherine had just left the library when she bumped into her childhood friend, Aria.
Aria: hey!! Kate!!!
Katherine: hey Aria. What were you doing here?
Aria: I just left the library not long ago and I was heading to the training ground to test out the skill I chose. 
Katherine: what a coincidence. So was I. Let's go check it out together. 
Katherine and Aria both went towards one the training grounds available in the academy. Katherine was very confident in her abilities. She's just turned 10 some few months ago and had recently to the 7th stage of the squire realm. Very little of the newly admitted students in the academy would be of any challenge to her. Although, on the day of academy's entrance, she had displayed the strength of a 5th level stage expert, it was just to prove to the Heads of departments her ability at controlling mana and a way to show her abilities so she can get chosen by a powerhouse to be a direct disciple. After walking a few minutes, they arrived at a vacant training location.

Katherine: okay, we will be taking this training location. 
They entered the training room and shut the doors behind them. 
Aria was so eager to test her new skill. She immediately dashed to the centre of the training room and readier herself. 
Aria: i will go first Kate. I wanna test myself. 
With a nod, Kate willingly agreed. She had know Aria for so long to understand that Aria was always the energetic girl.
Katherine watched from the sidelines. Aria was the only girl with a dual element that got admitted into the academy recently. And aside from the strength benefits of being a dual elementalist, one had to train vigorously to advance a stage. Aria, who was already at the 6th stage, is a proof that the girl wasn't slacking off in her training. 
Aria stood still for some few moments then she unleashed her skill at a practice dummy beside her. A magic insignia appeared around the practice dummy, the ground around the dummy reformed into a box made of stones. Katherine thought that was the end of Aria's display. This skill could be used to immobilize enemies and capture them, she thought. But then, she heard Aria say "Blow up" and instantly, the box became red hot and exploded.
Katherine, still shocked, gulped down saliva. If one wasn't too careful and shrouded in mana, they wouldn't be able to defend against that attack. It was so strong. 
Aria, smiling, called out to Kate.
Aria: how was it? 
Katherine: Hmmp. I won't let you leave me behind Aria. You are getting stronger. 
Aria: haha, come on, i know you have something up your sleeve that's also powerful enough. Show me.
With a nod, Katherine walked to the centre of the training room and readied herself. Just like Aria, a magic insignia had appeared around the practice dummy Katherine was using and then, she muttered, Light Hazard, immediately, white light shone around the dummy and it melted on the spot. The effect of the light was so strong that Aria had to close her eyes for a few seconds.When Katherine was done, there was nothing left of the practice dummy anymore. She had practically melted the dummy by producing heat from the light element. 
Aria: whoa!! So strong. I would hate to be your enemy Kate.
Katherine: haha. Same goes for you Aria.
After some more practice to hone their combat skills, the were famished and decided to head to the cafeteria, after taking a bath that is. 
**Few moments later **
Both Aria and Katherine walked into the school cafeteria. On entering, the place became so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. They didn't mind at all and went to order something to eat. Some few moments after they entered, two boys came into the cafeteria. Katherine noticed Aria was looking towards a certain direction. Following her gaze, she saw two handsome boys bickering with a certain boy. Just then she sensed one of them release mana but instantly retracted it. What a great show of control over mana, she thought. Aria had also sensed it too. Suddenly, the certain boy walked out of the cafeteria and the two others followed. 
Aria and Katherine decided to tail them. What was going to happen, they wondered. They followed them into an empty training ground. The certain boy was already at the centre of the room and the other two were facing him ready to fight. 
One of them suddenly called out to the girls, do you mind closing the doors? 
Out of shock, they couldn't react for some moments. They thought they had successfully tailed these guys without being noticed meanwhile, it was the other way around. These guys had just not said anything and let them tag along.
How strong were these guys? Those were the only thoughts in the head of the girls.
*POV ends*
Aaron: uhm! Girls, do you mind closing the doors behind you?
Aria was the first to come out of her daze then Katherine. They nodded and closed the door.
Leo, still standing with his hands behind his back said to Aaron and Vincent. 
Leo: hmm, maybe if you asked these girls to join you, you boys might have a chance at touching me.
What arrogance, thought Katherine. 
Is he really that strong? Thought Aria
Vincent: you talk big. Show us what you have got.
Leo: on a second thought, I won't fight if the girls don't join in. I mean, what more could mere weaklings do to me?
Hearing these words, Aria and Katherine couldn't contain their anger and immediately jumped beside  Aaron and Vincent.
Katherine: Hmmp, let's teach this guy a lesson. 
Aaron:* with a sinister smile * finally, a good reason to spoil your pretty face.
Leo: i advise you all. Equip yourselves with a weapon. 
Aaron was already holding a long sword, Vincent picked up a halberd, Aria picked up a battle axe while Katherine wielded a katana.
Leo:*with a smirk* Come at me when you are ready weaklings. 
Vincent was the first to attack with his halberd in hand. He was fast but Leo dodged every single attack of his and landed a kick on his face. Argh! Vincent screamed. What are you all waiting for? Do you want this spoilt brat to keep mocking us? Those words jolted the others to attack Leo together. Their attack was scattered at first but little by little, they had formed a pattern and started attacking in a synchronized and more uniformed manner. 
Aaron's sword came down with a vertical slash on Leo. Leo side stepped but that wasn't enough. Immediately, Aria came slashing with her axe. Leo dodged and stood on the axe. Aria couldn't raise the axe as Leo was on it. Leo was about landing a kick on her when Vincent suddenly parried his attack with his halberd. With that sudden distraction, Aria was able to move her axe to attack Leo but he stepped far back from the duo. 
Something was off, Leo thought. Where is the other girl? Suddenly, he felt a cold chill behind him. Interesting, he thought. Kate appeared behind Leo and was going to trap him to surrender but he vanished from the spot he was at. Before she could process what had happened, she had received a kick and was sent flying towards the others. 
Leo: i haven't even broken a sweat. You all are to easy.
What is this guy? They thought. We can't even lay a finger on him.
This time, the four of them were mad with anger. Mana started surging from all four of them. Things were getting serious. 
Vincent launched an attack at Leo. Leo kicked but Vincent's body was as sturdy as a rock. Every time Vincent attacked, his movements were as supple as water while his defence were like that of a rock.
Aaron: *Nicely done Vince. When did you manage to advance to the 7th stage, He thought*  Lets go.
Adding wind attributes to his attacks, Aaron was moving and simultaneously attacking Leo along side Vincent. His movements were way faster than Vincents' but still, Leo could keep up with him. In the process of dodging both Vincent's and Aaron's attempts at him, Aria had activated her skill and Leo was already enclosed in a box made of the rocks around him.
Nicely done, Vincent took the opportunity to praise Aria and smiled. Seeing his handsome face, she blushed with her face down, but that was not all.
Boom!! Came a sound from within the stone cage.
How is he so strong? They all thought. Could he probably be at the peak of 8th stage?
Leo was already punching his way out of the rock cage when suddenly, a bright light engulfed him at the same time, the rock cage became red hot. Two voices screamed, "blow up", 'Light Hazard"
Boom!!!
The rock cage, that was surrounded in a bright light was no more. Aaron and Vincent were worried. The girls were already scared. 
Did we just kill a fellow student?

Don't forget, "even when you are sick, even when you are healthy, even if the world makes you its enemy and the days of evil come, I will be your partner. I will find you in any lifetime and fall in love with you again".
That was the promise they made to each other before ........

To be told goodbye suddenly left Katherine stunned for a second. She didn't expect he'd leave right after recovering. It was a shame, when they'd finally found a friendly basis with each other. Now he had to go and it didn't look like he planned to come back. "I thought you and the earl were brothers. Won't you visit each other?"
"We usually don't have much contact." Was she sad she wouldn't see the patient again? She would still see him as the earl, so she shouldn't start missing him. It felt strange to interact with her in two personas.
"Oh. Alright." She smiled a little awkwardly. There were a few other questions in her head, mostly about the earl, but she swallowed them back. The earl already payed for her service, so she shouldn't exploit his brother too much. "If you nearly die again, you know where to find me. But next time I will charge from yourself, so you better be careful!"
With that she found her usual confident self again and stood up. "And if you ever feel the need to share information about the earl, write me a letter. I'd gladly take it as a deposit."
Does she plan on charging me with information about myself, the earl thought amused. "I'll think about it. Goodbye."
"Bye! Wish you all the best!" Waving at him lightly with one hand, she opened the carriage door.

"Look, milady! Over there! Is that the capital?", Hazel exclaimed with wide eyes. "It's so... so huge!"
The city outside the carriage's window really was gigantic. It spanned from one end of the horizon to the other, filling everything in between with the white and grey color of stone. Above the nearly uniform, simple houses and wide streets, a glorious pure white dome strived towards the heavens. It was way bigger than anything else in their line of sight.
"That dome has to be the palace.", Katherine sighed. Seeing it sit there so high and mighty, an unexpected nervousness filled her. If people knew she was of the Dragsa kingdom, she wouldn't be welcome here. They were still in a cold war and she was an aristocrat, even if it was a fallen one.
When she'd questioned Jack and Pete about Thrym, the capital of the Icelands, they told her that it was primary a city of the rich. Poor people were allowed as workers or servants, but it would be impossible for them to buy their own houses. Those were way too expensive. If they wanted to stay in the capital, they had to either ask their employers to accommodate them or pay an exorbitant price for a hotel room. 
Living on the streets was forbidden. At a certain hour of the night when the inhabitants were at home resting, the city guards roamed the streets to catch everyone who broke that law. 
Jack told her there were rumors the offenders would just disappear forever, disintegrate into thin air. In return, Pete had given him one of 'those gazes', how Katherine had started to call them. They would hit Jack whenever he was being an idiot. Which was nearly always. Katherine almost felt sorry for Pete's eyes.
A few hours passed before the carriages were halted in front of a city wall. Katherine knew there were three in total, parting the city in three layers matching the classes of their inhabitants. She just didn't expect there to be so many houses already outside the third ring. 
The walls and layers were counted from inside out with the innermost wall surrounding the royal palace. The second wall parted the nobles of the second layer from the rich merchants and businessmen, who resided in the third layer. Katherine didn't know who exactly resided outside the third wall, but from the houses they passed, the big number of high-end shops and restaurants, she could take a guess. Wealthy people couldn't go without enjoyment it seemed. 
Hmpf, what a farce. They even have brothels, but letting peasants own houses here is not allowed, Katherine thought. But then, she frowned. All those places were most likely owned by the people of the other layers, building their private amusement park just outside the city walls. No wonder the king didn't eradicate it if other nobles were involved.
Through the window, she saw Sam leave the first carriage and exchange a few words with the guards at the gate. He showed them a piece of paper, then their carriages were waved through without much of an inspection. 
They continued their ride, but Katherine noticed that the streets were busier here. Everywhere were blond- and red-haired people in formal clothing or dresses. The houses were getting more individual, but there were still many shops in between, though more moderate ones. 
On the second gate, they were inspected thoroughly. Katherine even had to get out of the carriage. She shot an annoyed look at the second carriage for the patient obviously didn't need to leave it. Luckily, at least this arrogant prince didn't get to see her like this. He and his entourage had overtaken them at the gate and passed without obstruction. Now they were already out of sight.
Katherine overcame the inspection with a stoic expression. While Hazel had wanted to argue with the city guards at first, one of her lady's quick gazes had stopped her. There was no use to start a conflict over something this plain. If they had wanted to inspect her body too, that would've been a completely different matter, even though they had a woman among them. But Katherine didn't believe the patient would let them go as far as that.
And she was right. After inspecting the carriage, the guards let them pass. From here on, the two carriages parted ways, one riding in the direction of the third and last gate, while the other followed the ring street, riding along several high-profile noble houses. Obviously, Katherine was in the latter. 
To squeeze more houses into the layers, there was a lack of large gardens, but the nobles found other ways to show off their wealth. There were several houses with golden water pipes, big, flashy colored windows, and finely sculptured gargoyles. They passed houses with gemstones set in their roof as well as gigantic statues on both sides of the entrance, overshadowing the city wall in high.
Some of the house walls had golden or silver bricks hidden irregularly between the normal stones, while others directly formed their walls into protruding pictures of dragons or phoenixes. From the library of the earl, Katherine identified some of them as heraldic pictures of the noble families. When she discovered a lily surrounded by twelve snowflakes, her expression darkened. Iceflower family. Some day I will let you pay for what you did to Hazel.
However, some day couldn't be now, as the Iceflowers had the home advantage. Their house looked so pure in silver and white, completely opposite to the dark tale she'd heard. Her gaze lingered on the house until it was out of sight. 
When she turned to the front again, Katherine's mouth slowly fell open. There, set a bit apart from the others, was a rather 'special' house. It had everything mentioned before - in fact, the quality of the materials looked even pricier than the others. However, in the protruding picture on the houses' wall was a silver skunk embedded, show-casting his furry behind. The gigantic golden statues in front had wide eyes, anxiously trying to hide their nakedness, whereas the thick water pipe had a pink quartz dangling to each side, bigger than a head. The doorknocker looked like a big behind with a long... stick hanging on it. And to top it all, the colorful gems on the roof read for all to see: 'Noble Aristocrats'!
While Hazel looked struck dumb by the sight, Katherine first got red, before she unwillingly started laughing. How vulgar! Which death-seeking noble dared to build a house like this?! One thing was for sure: the people from the Icelands were way less stiff than they were rumored to be. Even in the Dragsa kingdom a house like this would be torn down instantly. Maybe the trip to the capital could prove to be funnier than she thought! Though hopefully this extreme was the glorious exception. It really was too vulgar!

Inside the dome was a magical city. Lots of steam airships took off into the sky and traveled among the clouds. It was evening, and the lights in the city were still shining. There was always hustle and bustle, and the city stayed awake until the sunrise.
"Parasitic magical worms! Only thirty wizard coins!"
"Pure wind ravens! Fully-protected communications! Nobody will steal your messages! Safe and loyal! Only one hundred wizard coins!"
"Broken steam machine figure paper! Prices are negotiable!"
"Soul-purifying potions that amplify the effects of meditation. It can amplify effects by ten percent, and one bottle can last…"
This street still retained some of its ancient charms under the bright shining lights of the city. Wizards wearing capes and cloaks gathered here, as quite a few of the younger wizards had set up stores and shops on this street. A pair of twin female wizards were standing in front of their store, showing the functions of their alchemy potions, which attracted lots of interest and attention.
The wooden shop signs were inscribed with the names of the alchemy witchcraft shops, "Vivian's Magically-Reinforced Pet Shop,""Derek's Alchemy Design Shop,""Witchcraft Alchemy Playground," and so on.
Lu Zhiyu walked through the wizard-packed street toward the tower at the center of the magical city. The enormous tower was the most eye-catching building in the entire region. If someone wanted to get into the tower, they needed to walk through the enormous white castle in front of the tower where there were the students lived and studied.
"Many buildings of the old have been preserved. Castles, shops, and several special wizard towers are still here," Lu Zhiyu thought, looking at the familiar structures as he walked into the tower. The two wizards guarding the hall didn't notice Lu Zhiyu, who walked right in and started up the stairs to the top of the tower.
At the same time, Katherine was up in the main control room at the very top of the tower, playing with her observation equipment. The telescope in the observation tower extended out through the window and pointed right at the starry sky and dimensional wall outside.
"This time, we can see the stars very clearly using this telescope, and we can even see the reflection of the astral world outside our world using the dimensional wall!"
"What do you think we will find this time, Pyros? Will we be able to see another world? Will we see Maria's World?"

The higher a place was, the more frequently elemental storms and space vibrations occurred.
Even if they were able to enter the dimensional wall, there were no directions in the dimensional wall, and there were countless space wrinkles, which meant you would never be able to know where you would find yourself next. It was like an enormous maze, and no living being who entered this maze would be able to make it out.
Wizards started to use indirect methods to observe and study the composition of this world. The newest way was to observe the stars and the strange scenes in the dimensional wall using the special astral telescopes they had invented. As for what they observed, there were the special star-soul lives in the dimensional wall. Thus, the professions of astrologists and summoners were created to study them.
A sphinx from the newest generation of sphinxes was stationed at the door of the highest floor of the tower. Each new generation of the sphinx was called "Pyros." As Katherine worked, Pyros yawned lazily. She relaxed and overlapped its claws, and wasn't concerned with being too attentive to Katherine right now.
"Although this is only a second-generation astral telescope, it's still impossible to observe the scenes or the reflections of the astral world. The most you can see are the stars and some special scenes hidden deeper in the dimensional wall. If we want to…" Before Pyros could finish talking, she suddenly raised her head and looked around as if she had sensed something special. At the same time, Katherine finally fixed her new astral telescope.
"Okay, perhaps we can find more star souls this time. Each star soul had different abilities and stands for different things. Every time when we find a special star soul, we can channel its power to study different things. This time…"

Katherine, standing beside him, looked at Lu Zhiyu's dark hair. She looked at his face, listened to his familiar voice, and she could even smell his special scent.
Seeing Lu Zhiyu let his hands go and turn around to look at her, Katherine smiled with him, "That's right, the world is the most beautiful thing in the eyes of wizards."
Lu Zhiyu looked down through the windows of the tower and saw the gigantic City of Wizards. He also observed the area that was covered by the entire Kingdom of Wizards and its civilization.
"Is this what the Kingdom of Wizards is in the eyes of you, Bohr, Akkad, and all the other first-generation wizards?" he asked.
"It's fantastic. I love it, and I believe that they'll love it too!"
Lu Zhiyu curved his lips, and there was a trace of a smile on his tranquil face. He looked Katherine in the eyes and said, "Thanks, Katherine!"
Katherine's eyes gleamed bright, and the smile on her beautiful face looked like a colorful flower blossoming. The more she smiled, the less she could control herself. She held her face with both of her hands, and it seemed that she was truly happy. Being affirmed by Lu Zhiyu was just as good to her as being affirmed by other wizards of the first generation.
Lu Zhiyu and Katherine kept looking at each other. They were able to communicate with each other only through eye contact. They were both smiling with happiness.
Lu Zhiyu walked down the stairs of the observation tower and Katherine followed him. Looking at the gigantic telescope, Lu Zhiyu suddenly asked, "Since this world is so beautiful, are you interested in spending more time exploring and finding its secrets, Katherine?"
Katherine was dazed. She let go of her hands, looked at Lu Zhiyu, and smiled. She put her hands on her back like she did when she was being taught by Lu Zhiyu back in the tower in the Dark Forest.
"What should I do?"
Lu Zhiyu looked around and set a blackboard down on the ground. He then stood on the stairs and tidied up his long robe.
"Are you interested in taking one more lecture from me?" he asked.
Katherine watched Lu Zhiyu's movements in silence. They were his usual movements, yet they triggered lots of memories. She remembered how Lu Zhiyu used to be, and how many people used to be. Katherine couldn't even remember the names of some of them, yet she could still remember their faces, which were familiar and kind.
"Of course… Of course… I… Very…"
Katherine couldn't help but smile and covered her mouth with her hands, and she couldn't help tearing up, either. She couldn't even keep her voice smooth anymore. It was supposed to be a pleasant and sweet moment, all of a sudden it was mixed with sorrow.
She set a chair in the center of the room, even though there were lots of other chairs around her. All of a sudden, several rows of empty chairs appeared beside her. Katherine was now sitting at the center of the front row where she always wanted to sit.
Lu Zhiyu tapped the blackboard, and he looked around at all the people sitting down there as if he were a teacher checking whether or not all of his students were present. Lu Zhiyu stood straight and said, "Now that everyone's here, I'll begin my lesson. Today, we're going to talk about how to reach level seven and become a mythical wizard, and a couple of the crucial steps."


By accident, Lu Zhiyu found the entrance to a low-dimensional world, and thus began a totally different journey!

Free to control everything in the low-dimensional game, Lu Zhiyu felt like a gamemaster, and even God.


"Louis might have told her about this. You know that he shares everything with Brina. 
Anyway, I am relieved to learn that she would not be directly implicated on this. However, we are yet to find out why Brina deliberately made herself a victim in this, even after knowing that this might happen. Let's see" Charlotte said, before giving the blood samples to Eliina. 
Meanwhile, Olivia was beatific after her 'glorious' victory. She right away went back to her suite and couldn't stop herself from opening a champagne bottle. 
Owen, who just followed her inside and
sighed.
"You got what you want, little sister. What about me? You promised Brina would be in my bed soon and may I know when that 'soon' will come?" he asked, annoyed because of his self centred, egoistic sister.
Olivia filled the champagne in two glasses and gave one of it to her brother.
"That 'soon' will come when we eliminate Katherine as well. As Brina didn't even reach the end line, her rank will fall down drastically. 
Moreover, given with how pathetic she looked, I am sure that many people would be coming to the conclusion that she is just 'a passing cloud' but nothing more than that." Olivia told him, taking a sip from her glass. 
"I have actually thought of going easy on her for your sake, brother. But that slut didn't appear at medical quarters. If she would have come, we would have simply implicated her in a drug use case and banished her. And this horse plan would have got focused on Katherine" Olivia scoffed.
Her previous plan was to eliminate Bruna by drug consumption case and use this Hungarian horse plan on Katherine. 
If everything would have gone as she planned, Brina would have been on her brother's bed and Katherine would have been on a hospital bed instead.  
It would have been killing two birds with one stone. But Brina spoiled it by not showing up and when Owen asked her to select in between Katherine and Brina, she made the right choice by making Brina her immediate target. 
It would have actually been Katherine who would have gotten that Hungarian horse, but Olivia changed the plan and asked Queen mother Greta to modify the 'horse selection' process by giving the drugged, Hungarian horse to Brina. 
"Anyway, everything went as we planned. So, after we eliminate Katherine, we will just be left with Princess Penelope as our last threat. However, she seems not interested in Prince Edward" Olivia said. 
"Don't worry about that. Our maternal grandfather is already looking into it. When the time comes, Prince will have no one but you to select" Owen said, lifting his glass in a congratulating gesture. But little they know that Brina has just their own tables against them. 
And, pitifully, they would not even have a hint who is doing all this to them.

The next morning…
Brina woke up and found Hailey sleeping on the couch. Except for the mild headache and dizziness she could be considered as good. In addition to this, she felt a little weak and hungry. 
Sitting back on the bed, with her back leaning onto the headboard, Brina used her free hand to take a glass. She gulped the water in one go and relaxed a bit. Everything that happened yesterday flooded back into her mind and she couldn't help but smirk. 
Yeah! She smirked because she knows that she will be the ultimate winner. 
Whatever Olivia is trying to use on her, for Brina they are like a kid's game. She is already past this stage to get fooled easily. 
She had much more tough days in her past and she had come across more despicable acts all along her life. Meanwhile, Hailey woke up because of the faint sounds in the room and immediately noticed that Brina was awake.
"Hey, are you fine? Should I call a doctor?" Hailey asked, rather worried as she hurriedly approached Brina. 
"I am good."
Brina flashed an assuring smile for which Hailey sighed and relaxed a bit. 
"By the way, how is that horse doing right now?" She couldn't help but ask.That poor creature was the most pitiful victim in this devious act, an only innocent pawn apparently. Hailey chuckled. 
"It's good I guess. Don't know what has happened to it, but I heard that it's totally fine. However, there are rumors flying around, that it was totally your fault that you couldn't handle that horse and in turn, made it fall down " she said. 
Brina chukled, a dark shade of malice passing her eyes. 'Olivia might have given the antidote as soon as the competition completed. And, this has also made it clear that Queen mother Greta is helping her. 
Ahh… how despicable.' she thought. 
If this is not called as Greta's misdeed, then, what could it possibly be called? A coincidence?? Out of all twelve horses present, only she got the horse which was drugged!
It was not a mere coincidence nor it was her distressing misfortune! This is a blatant jeopardising one could not even think of!! In the meantime, the doctors have also got the news that Brina woke up. 
Just as they were asked, they made a call to their Prince and informed him. Louis who just went back to the palace was not at all himself. He didn't even get a wink of sleep.
He badly wanted to stay behind and take care of his love but he couldn't afford to expose his relationship with Brina. Especially when his father caught him red handed, shedding a tear. 
These are the times when he cursed his fate for not having the liberty to be himself. These are the times when he feels a sudden urge to strangle his brother to death, for being this selfish. 
Here he is, almost facing hell for not being able to be there for his girl, when his brother is enjoying his honeymoon in Maldives. Isn't this quite unfair? Louis smashed the last bottle to the ground and it was when his phone vibrated. 
That was the call from hospital staff to inform that Brina is awake. He immediately sighed in relief and hastily dressed himself before hurrying to the hospital. 


She was a simple girl who was brought up in a simple household, or at least that was what others thought about her. 


She is full of mysteries and secrets but was always seen as naïve and innocent girl. Or, simply…it is more precise to tell that she keeps that facade for her own good.

Prince Eraga slammed the table furiously when he found out that Rudo was killed by someone. As of how he knows that, is because one of his men reported to him saying that Rudo's soul stone is not glowing anymore.

"Who! Just who dare to kill my people?!" said Prince Eraga angrily.

"Eraga-sama, please calm down," said Katherine who is a female royal knight.

"Calm down?! Someone just killed one of my royal knights you know! If it's just losing a regular knight or regular soldiers, then it wouldn't matter much as we can always replace a new one, but a royal knight?!" Prince Eraga was extremely upset.

In this world, the average level of a royal knight is usually High S-Rank, which is pretty close to Peak S-Rank, or another name for Peak S-Rank is also called King. Of course, depending on what race you are, you will be called differently, so if you're human, then Human King and if you're a dragon, then Dragon King and so on.

At the moment, the distance between Aelena's party and the Slime King is about 2000 meters, but because the Slime King is so big in size, so even far away, Aelena's party could still see it quite clearly.

After a while, they continue their journey again and head toward where the Slime King is. However, after walking for about 1750 meters, they stopped because suddenly out of nowhere, 50 Black Slime appeared from the sky.

Those 50 Black Slime had wings and they seem to be completely different from other normal slimes that they fought earlier.

"That's right, but there's a time limit and that is one hour, so if you can defeat all of them within an hour, then you win," said the Slime King.

'Hehe, killing them right away wouldn't be so fun, so let's play with their life a bit first and then kill them later,' laughed the Slime King inwardly.

Of course, everyone is not stupid because if it's that simple, then all those previous adventurers would have gotten the Heavenly Light Sword already. So at this point, they could pretty much tell that the Slime King just wanted to have some fun before killing them.

It was this time, Prime stepped up and said:

"Listen up, we don't have time to play games with you, so either you let us through now or you can die here,"

"Hahaha! As expected, all dragons in this world are arrogant and prideful, but do you want to know what happened to those dragons who speak to me like that?"

"Nope, I'm not interested, so just die," said Prime as he begins attacking the Slime King.

With that being said, Prime began punching, kicking and shooting flames at the Slime King and also at the 50 Black Slime. Meanwhile, Aelena's party is taking care of the 50 Red Magician Slimes behind them.

Within a few seconds, Prime was able to kill all those 50 Black Slimes easily, but for the Slime King, it took no damage at all.

"Hahaha! Idiot! Don't you know that I'm immune to both physical and magic attacks?"

Since Prime is a Gamer, so he could see that this Slime King is actually casting a spell buff on itself, and he knows that because next to the Slime King's health bar is a picture of a shield. And the name of this spell buff is called "Diamond Shield," which is a spell buff that makes the user immune to both physical and magic attacks for 5 minutes.

In another word, 5 minutes later when the spell buff is over, then the Slime King will be vulnerable to Prime's attack.

"Hahaha! Nice spell buff you have there, and I also know the name of your spell buff and it's called the Diamond Shield, right?" said Prime with a smile.

'Impossible! How in the world does he know that?!'

"Y-You! How did you find out?!" said the Slime King in a disbelief manner.

With that said, the Slime King started going all out against Prime and tried to kill him, but unfortunately, no matter what the Slime King do, it didn't work out at all because Prime is just too strong.

Eventually, 5 minutes have passed and the Slime King spell buff is finally gone. Although he can cast another spell buff, but he has to wait for another 10 minutes Cooldown before he can use it again. So which means during these 10 minutes, he's totally vulnerable to Prime's attack.

"Hahaha! Your time is up Mr. Slime King," said Prime while laughing evilly.
