Pretty much my bias opinion on every Greek god

Hello mortals, my name is Psyche and I am Dafne's twin, as every summer we spend with our grandparents at the family beach house, it is customary to come here to listen to the Greek stories of our grandparents every night, including Psiqué. And Dafne by the way we already know why we are called like that, that so many times I listen to her I think I already know the whole story seriously this family has been obsessed with Greek myths and history and well I am not the exception because every morning like today I go out to the sea to sit on the sand to read my book Ovid's Metamorphosis.
And right now here I am sitting with my book on my lap.
Let's start from why I come to where Poseidon, "The sea" or Neptune his name according to Greek mythology.
Well, it is a quiet place, which gives us calm from the sand, of course because inside it it is the opposite, it is so immense that seeing it makes our problems and fears small.
Neptune was the son of Saturn, brother of Jupiter, Pluto, Juno, Ceres and Vesta, great-grandfather of Hippomenes, a mortal and not to mention Venus, the goddess of love and beauty that arose from the foam of the sea and mother of Cupid, the Love's God.
Juno is the wife of Jupiter (Zeus) that is to say that they are brothers, Jupiter is the king of the gods, god of the heavens. Ceres is the goddess of the harvest, Pluto the god of hell, and one hell is hell, the place where people who die in sin go.
And Vesta or Hestia is the goddess of the hearth. Phaethon son of Helios and Helios the sun god. Servant sadness of Venus as well as Restlessness, Proserpina daughter of Ceres, maiden of spring and queen of hell.
Morpheus god of dreams, Mercury the messenger god, Minerva goddess of weaving and handicrafts. Iris goddess of the rainbow.
Envy a goddess ...
Apollo, Bacchus and Diana (Artemis) are children of Jupiter just like Mars (Ares) the god of war and since Psyche is a perfect princess and Daphne like Echo, Climena and others is a nymph, Daphne is the daughter of Peneas the god laughed.
The immortal gods are the descendants of Saturn although there are other gods who are at their disposal and, the mortals are those who live on earth!

Psyche and her younger sister, like every summer, spend it at her grandparents' house listening to their stories of Greek mythologies and, as she is always telling that her family likes these stories so much that they decided to name her Psyche, she will read us some stories from her book that they have given.

"I'll pay," Jin Liwei fished out his wallet from his pocket.

"No. They're my cats so I'll pay," Iris stopped him. Then she unzipped her small leather backpack for her own wallet.

"Baby girl, they're OUR cats."

"Oh."

"So let me pay this time, okay?"

She thought for a few seconds. "Fine."

He handed a black card to the cashier. The manager's eyes popped wide open upon seeing the legendary black card. He pushed aside the cashier and hurriedly received the black card with shaking hands. It was the first time he ever saw one. He wanted to take a selfie with it, but stopped himself. 

After the transaction, the manager reluctantly returned the card to Jin Liwei. He almost didn't want to let it go. He rubbed his fingers all over his body, hoping for some of the financial fortune from the black card he just touched would bring him good luck.

The clerks all helped carry the shopping bags and boxes out to the parked car. Jin Liwei instructed Iris to head back to the vet clinic first while he and the clerks stuffed and squeezed all their purchases inside the car.

Back at the clinic, Iris signed what needed to be signed and paid what needed to be paid. She was also given a schedule of appointments for the kittens' first vaccinations. Then she finally collected the kittens. They were all cleaned up and together inside a new carrier lined with a warm blanket. Iris thanked the veterinarian and then exited the clinic with the carrier.

Jin Liwei and the clerks just finished when she reached the car.

Finally, they drove away headed for home. The sky was already dark. It was evening.

Gold Heights Condominium.

Outside the condo building, two of Jin Liwei's men climbed out of a waiting car. Iris recognized one of them as the one who delivered the silver car that morning.

"Master," they both greeted Jin Liwei and then politely nodded at her.

"Bring all of our purchases to the penthouse," he ordered.

"Understood."

One of the men handed Jin Liwei a garment bag. It was his business suit for work tomorrow. He and Iris headed up first. His two men made several elevator trips before all their purchases and the baskets from the farm villa were delivered to the penthouse.

Dom was already back in time for dinner. He squealed upon seeing the adorable kittens, immediately playing with them. 

"Put everything in my bedroom," Iris instructed Yi Mei.

"Absolutely not," Jin Liwei rejected the idea.

"But I want the kittens in my room."

"Not a good idea, baby."

She frowned. "Why not?"

"Now that we've adopted them, we're now their parents. And they're our kids. Baby girl, you're now a mother. Would you like our kids to personally see us, their parents, rolling on the bed naked?"

Dom gasped in delight. Yi Mei's eyes widened in horror. The maids all blushed and avoided looking at the couple. Jin Liwei's two men had their usual stoic expressions but the suspicious flush on their faces, ears and neck betrayed their true emotions.

"Oh." Iris blushed a bit before nodding. Turning to Yi Mei, she instructed, "Put everything in one of the guest bedrooms. Convert it into a cat room within the week."

"Understood, Young Miss," Yi Mei replied, quickly recovering from what Jin Liwei said. Then she began instructing the maids and Jin Liwei's two men as to which room to place all the kitty stuff.

Afterwards, everyone had dinner together. Even Jin Liwei's men stayed over to eat before leaving.

The cook prepared a delicious Greek-style dinner. The main dishes were roasted lamb chops, chicken and pork souvlakia [1] with lemon rice pilaf [2]. The side dishes were horiatiki salad [3] and roasted potatoes sprinkled with feta cheese and choices of yoghurt and ginger sauce dressings. 

Iris and Jin Liwei ate together at a small table by the living area, overlooking the dazzling night lights of the city outside the ceiling-high glass windows. Dom ate with the others at the big granite kitchen island, including Jin Liwei's two men. All the men wolfed down everything. Nothing was left when the meal was over.

After the meal was hot peppermint tea. Iris and Jin Liwei sipped the tea before heading to the cat room to visit the kittens. 

Dom and one of the maids were feeding the kittens milk from tiny bottles. Seeing this, Iris immediately wanted to try and took the bottle from the maid.

"Sir boss, wanna try too?" Dom asked Jin Liwei.

Wordlessly, Jin Liwei took the bottle from Dom and started feeding one of the kittens as well.

"Ehehehe!" Dom took his phone and started snapping photos of the couple and the kittens while squealing. "Oh my God! Cuteness overload! I'm gonna die from too much cuteness! Popcorn, stay still and let daddy feed you milk. Sir boss, hold him gently. Yes, like that. Ah! Ice Cream is so well-behaved! So cute! Even the way she sucks milk is so elegant. Just like her mommy!"

                Athens was beyond compare. The city held an otherworldly beauty that spoke of a city that had seen much in the many years it had stood.
The echoing of the Greek gods could be felt in the very city. They seemed to whisper through the wind that blew through the columns of the Parthenon. It wasn't really surprising that this is where Discord chose to make her home, in the very heart of Ancient Greece. 
The whole city made me feel uneasy. As if something was about to happen. As if I was walking in someone else's footsteps. I didn't like being here, much like I didn't much like the fact or claim that I was Ares, the God of war reborn. I missed my home. I missed the bustle of Chicago. The winds that blew every which way, I missed my dog Zeus and my sister Rachel with her bright red hair that looked nothing like the bronze locks I had been born with. I missed going to play basketball with my school friends and studying to eventually go to college. I missed all the notions of normalcy in my life. 
Athens made me feel like something was about to happen, that would change everything. It's a feeling I had once before. And in all honesty, it had changed everything. How I saw the world and how the world saw me. It's why I was here, in Athens, Greece in the company of Discord, the goddess of Chaos. 
I looked out into the balcony, at the Acropolis where the citadel stood as silent as it ever was. I sighed, as I continued to walk across the plush carpet. The city might've been old but the suite we were currently staying in was definitely new. The walls were brushed a warm gold that brightened the room as the light of the sun hit the walls, the middle of the ceiling held a three-tier chandelier, and the couches were cream and plush. 
"I don't like being here," I said. Discord or Dee as most people called her snickered at my displeasure. She sat on the chaise lounge, dressed head to toe in black leather, the only color on her the bright green highlights that threaded her dark black curls. She was currently reading some book or the other. And for the most part, ignoring me like she usually did when she felt I was being unreasonable. 
"You don't feel right because you are still trying to deny who you are." Discord said pointedly glancing at me before flicking a page in her book. "Who says I'm denying anything?" I said narrowing my eyes at her. "You are. Wishing things could go back to the way they were." Discord said. 
"I had a family before this," I said, watching Discord chuckle in response. "You do have a family. A LOT of family." She said. I scowled and as if she had summoned them by thought alone the twins walked in. "Still having this argument I see," Theo said as he glanced at Discord to me. 
I glared at Theo, with the dark curls that made him look like he had just stepped out of Victorian London before I glanced at Artie with her dark curls she would've looked more like Discord's twin if she had also had green streaks in her hair. Her blue eyes seemed to gaze into my very soul as she walked into the room and immediately perched herself on top of the dining table like the heathen that she was. 
"You should probably calm down," Artie said. I glared at her. "What makes you think I'm not calm?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her. "You are making a visible trail in the carpet for one." Artie pointed out. "And you are twirling batons in your hands," Theo added gesturing at the batons I was indeed holding in my hands. "They aren't exactly the trademarks of someone who is calm." He said. 
"Especially if that person is Ares, The God of War." Discord said.
 I despised that name. Even if it was my true name. I glanced at the twins, Theo and Artie otherwise known as Artemis and Apollo. They had taken their true selves in stride, already able to command and use most of their gifts. I still had trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that I was a god who came back to life in the body of a mortal. "Not that this conversation is going anywhere but was there a reason for the two of you just suddenly showing up?" I asked. I wasn't wrong to question the twins, they acted more like spies for Discord and usually brought trouble wherever they went.
"Your favorite person in the world is in the market looking for you. And she brought friends." Artie said smiling at Discord who closed her book with a snap. "Oh, what trouble have you brought this time, dear Iris." Discord said with a smile. "Who the hell is Iris?" I asked narrowing my eyes at Discord. "Iris used to be one of mine. A Guardian of the Bermuda Triangle. Nowadays she is a guardian that serves the Council of Circe." Discord explained, making me even more confused than ever. 
"They kicked her out of having servants when she became a human," Artie said helpfully making Discord scowl at her. "Regardless, Iris has never been happy with me. So if she has come all the way to Greece to find me, something must've happened to make her so desperate. It would only be kind to see what she wants." Discord said smiling. 
I rolled my eyes at her words. Goddess of Chaos indeed. I shook my head ignoring Artie and Theo as they started to wonder how or why this Iris might've decided to look for Discord. I went to the balcony, my hands gripping the railing that creaked with displeasure at my weight. I looked out at the Citadel where the Parthenon had stood for thousands of years, and would stand for thousands more. I sighed. I wanted to go home, but if there were people coming to look for Discord, home was the last place I would be able to go.
 "You look glum, Uncle of mine." I scowled at the familiar voice, as I leaned forward against the railing glancing to the left where a lithe boy with dark hair, and sharp bright blue eyes stood taking a whiff of a cigarette that blew purple smoke in the air as he exhaled. 
"Eros. How horrible to see you." I said, smiling slightly at the slight smile that graced his angelic features. Like me, Eros had originally had parents of Asian descent which you could see marked in his slanted dark eyes and beautiful spiky hair. Not that I would ever tell him that to his face. "Oh Uncle, you can sass me all you want. But I know you are indeed happy to see me." He said wagging a finger at me.
 I scowled even though he was right. I was actually happy to see the God of Love, Discord he had been the first Greek god I had come across, and seeing him I always remembered the time before we had found out about our true destinies. Before I had met her. 
"What are you doing here?" I asked narrowing my eyes a bit at him. "Being unpredictable. And I have a message for you. From the one that is never far from your thoughts." Eros said. "I don't want to hear anything she has to say. She betrayed us." I said darkly. Thinking about the redhead that had indeed betrayed us. The one who had caused us all to wake. 
"How about we deal with one disaster at a time." Discord said as she joined the balcony. She looked at me, "I'm going to need you with me on this." She said. "Naturally. Wherever Chaos goes, war is sure to follow." I said raising an eyebrow. Discord smiled, "You are going to love this. I don't think you've met many witches or faeries in Chicago." 

The Market – Damien
Greece was far too bright for my liking. Even if I could withstand the sun. Which I could, as my bloodline was one of the few Vampire bloodlines that had been given the gift of being able to walk the earth in the sun. Not many vampires had been given that gift but after too many Vampires had attacked witches a truce had been made and certain select bloodlines, mainly Aristocratic ones like mine could walk in the sun. 
"Why are we just walking around in the middle of the market?" I asked in a near growl. I may have been slightly irritated. But it had been a full day since Zira had been kidnapped and Davenna had run away. The number of calls I had gotten from both Hunter and Marcus was nearing the triple digits. Sometimes it sucked being one of the members of the school council that Marcus leaned on in times of need. 
"I have spent decades in the service of Discord. The easiest way to get her interested in your cause is to invade her territory. She always has people who watch on her behalf. One of them would've already seen us by now and will let her know. And then she will make herself known." Iris said calmly. 
"How can you be sure of that?" I asked frowning. "Because she's the Goddess of Chaos. She revels in it." Ifrinn pointed out. Raena nodded in agreement. "Iris worked with Discord much too long, not to know what she's like," Raena said.
"Well don't you all seem to know what you're doing?" I turned around at the new voice surprised to see a dark-haired boy with curling hair and dark violet eyes looking at us. "Two fairies, a Vampire, and a Siren all walk into a market," another voice from behind us said. When I turned to look I saw a petite girl with dark hair pulled back in a ponytail looking at us with a shrewd look on her face. 
"Now Artie. Don't be mean." The boy said. "Don't be boring Theodore." The girl said giving the boy an irritated glance. I frowned at the two of them, glancing at Ifrinn and Raena who were both scowling in their direction. "Who the name of Hera are you both, and how do you know what we are?" Ifrinn demanded roughly. 
They smiled at Ifrinn's command before they both pointed to our right, where Discord strolled in. "They are gods." She said proudly. "May I introduce Artemis and Apollo or Theodore as he is now being called." Discord said. I scowled, then immediately started to back away from the group. Apollo was the sun god but also the God of Prophecy. His twin sister Artemis was the Goddess of the Hunt. No matter how very mortal they were, I wanted nothing to do with either of them. 
I walked slightly away from the market coming across one of the Cafes that lined around the marketplace, where I saw a boy with darkly black hair and a boy with bronze-colored locks that were both looking at the spot I had just vacated. They both turned and looked at me as if they could sense my gaze. 
"More Gods?" I said with a sigh. The dark-haired boy smiled at my words. "We are, more gods. Damien Cross." The boy said smiling at my glare when I realized he knew my name. "Who are you. And how do you know my name?" I asked. 
"A while back we met through a mutual friend of mine. You helped him when no one else would. He was going through a dark phase and you helped him, in your own sarcastic way." He said. "My name is Mathius Scott, otherwise known as Eros." He said with a slight bow. "The god of love. Just my luck." I said scowling. "This is Prince. Also known as Ares the God of War." I looked at Prince who glared at my sudden interest. "We came here looking for you. And Discord." I said. "I wish you hadn't," Prince said with a long-suffering sigh.
"We are about to head into the Lands of Fairy. We were told by the Queen of the forest Fae that we would need the Goddess of Chaos and the God of War on our side if we are to survive the perils of the Land of Fairy." I said. Prince scowled at me. "Why should we help you?" He asked. "A girl was taken in mid-air against her will, to the Fairy King. A long time ago this King waged War against the Queen of Light. He means to do the same thing now, using Zira as a weapon." I said watching as Prince's face twitched at my words. "A girl?" He asked. 
"A witch with elemental powers. She's extremely powerful." I said. "How are we even going to get to the Fairy Lands?" Prince asked. "We have someone on that as we speak."

Davenna the adopted daughter of Hunter and Marcus has lived a sheltered life as the daughter of a former Warlock, and troublesome werewolf. She knows all about the magical world, as she goes to school in Haven, the academy that Marcus runs. Three days before a big dance, one of the most troublesome girls in the school Katherine Blood runs away, causing panic and mayhem. Davenna just wants to worry about the cute vampire boy that finally seems to be paying attention to her, when her best friend in life gets mysteriously kidnapped by an evil Fairy Warlord. Lost but determined, Davenna grabs her two best friends and they travel cross country to head deep into the land of the fae and most likely Mortal peril....

Hey guys!  How's life?  Mine was super hectic today.  I had a lot of work to do.  I've been having some crazy ideas to add in this story, so I'm excited for that.

ANWAY!  HERE'S THE PSYCHOLOGY FACT OF THE DAY: The person who irritates you, is the person who loves you most, but fails to express it.

*Smiles*  My little sister annoys me so much, and to tell the truth, I always knew why.  She's not a very expressive person - kind of like me.  This fact makes me happy.  I have to say that.  We all have to know that, if our friends/siblings annoy us to pieces, it means they love us.  Say this to them next time they annoy you.  It's guaranteed that they'll either smile or deny it.  If they do neither, comment down below, and I'll give you a virtual cookie.

Peter Parker's P.O.V (First Person)

Oh man.  Where do I start?  Camp was the best place you could imagine times infinity. Sure, it had it's cons.  I mean, Aunt May wasn't there.  But, honestly, it didn't matter.  There were so many other people!  And the Iris cabin, my so called half-family, was amazing.  They could change anything into different colors.  THEY MADE MY BROCOLLI TURN RED AND BLUE.  They even made it taste like red and blue.  Don't ask me how I know what they taste like...I just do.

When I got claimed, I have to say, I felt more faint than anything.  I was still wrapping my head around that Percy and his friends were demigods.  On top of that, I'm related to him? Distantly, sure, but still.  I managed to crash onto my bed in the Iris cabin after the claiming, my mind a flurry of thoughts.  I had a dream that night.  Not a nightmare.  Just a dream.

It was a starry night, and I was walking in the middle of it all.  The stars were all around, wrapping themselves over me like a tunnel.  The walkway I was on was shimmering and ethereal.  It was just a wisp of rainbow smoke.  Weirdly enough, I felt like I knew what was happening.  I felt safe and not at all nervous.  

The tunnel of stars I was walking through seemingly had no end - not that I wanted it to end.  It was too beautiful.  As I walked, I saw a light in front of me.  It was getting brighter and brighter as I walked closer, and I had to shield my eyes so that I wouldn't go completely blind.  When the light subsided, a woman stood there, smiling serenely.

She had a holographic dress on.  Whenever light shined on it, a rainbow showed up, all sparkling and beautiful.  The woman herself had smooth, dark hair, and a chocolatey complexion.  Her eyes changed colors.  Oh also, did I mention that she had wings?  Yeah well, she had big, gold wings that emanated light.  The woman held a gold rod and a pitcher in her hands.

She looked down at me, her eyes showing calculation despite her sweet smile.  

Her power was a little too much for me to handle, so I fell down to a kneeling position, my head down.  The woman nodded.

"Rise, child," she said, her voice silky.

I got up slowly, unsure of what else to do, "U-Um...Where am I?"

The woman looked around, spreading her arms, "My Rainbow Bridge."

I raised an eyebrow, a little confused, "Huh?  Like the thing from Mia and Me?  Doesn't Mia use it or something?"

The woman cocked her head a little, like a puppy, "I don't know who this Mia is, but I assure you she hasn't come here."

I shook my head, "Never mind.  What am I doing here?  Who are you?"

The woman smiled again, "I am Iris, and I brought you here because I need something.  Plain and simple."

I scowled.  Percy had told me that the gods only called on us if they needed a favor.  They never wanted to just sit down and chat with juice and cookies.  I looked up, "And that is?"

She looked a little taken aback by my newfound confidence, but managed to mask it quickly, "Pandora's Pithos does not only hold the god, Peter Parker.  It holds something very dear to me.  Something that Zeus took and trapped in it.  Even with the pithos smashed, I haven't able to retrieve it.  My best guess is that Zeus entrapped this item in the essence of the pithos, thus, when you put it back together, you should be able to get it."

I was utterly confused now, "Wait, wait, wait.  Look Miss Iris, I don't know what this thing is or how to get it.  I don't know how to pull an item out of the essence of a box.  And I don't know why you want me to do this for you.  I'm not even qualified for a driver's license yet."

She chuckled, "Darling, as my grandson, who better than to retrieve my crystal marble than you?"

I flipped, "G-Grandson?  That's how I'm related to you?"

She nodded, and my eyebrows shot up.  The fact that I was related to a goddess, sunk in.  I lowered my eyebrows and kept my face stoic after that, "Why did Zeus trap your marble in the first place?"

She stared at me, "My marble has a rainbow inside - the symbol for hope.  When Zeus trapped all the negativities inside the pithos, he needed a physical item to shield the essence of hope from being corrupted.  Thus, he took my marble and used it to shield hope.  It was supposed to return to me once Pandora let hope out. No one let hope out, though, and I never got my marble back.  Hope could only be let out by a mythical being - demigods, gods, legacies, monsters, even Pandora.  When the box shattered, hope stayed in the essence of it, refusing to come out, and my marble stayed with it so that it would be shielded.  When you put the box together, you must let hope come out after the god himself is freed.  It's the only way my marble will come back to me."

It was a little too much to take in, "Okay, so you want your magic marble for you because Zeus never gave it back, and the only way to get it is after the box is put back together."

She nodded to me, and I shook my head, "Alrighty, then, grandma.  I'll get you your magic marble back."

She clapped her hands, "Wonderful.  Also, Peter?"

I hummed in response, and she smiled, "Don't tell anyone about this.  It must remain secret.  Understood?  Your first quest, Legacy.  Don't fail me."

I rolled my eyes, "I wouldn't dream of it, Gramma."

She strained her smile, "My power is running low.  I must get let you go before Zeus catches me talking to you.  Ancient Laws and all.  Get my marble, Legacy.  And don't tell anyone."

With that, the dream faded, and I was immediately sucked back into the darkness of my mind.  I jolted up, cold beads of sweat on the nape of my neck.  It was still dark outside, but I didn't think about that. 

I had a quest to complete.

Nice!  Okay, FYI, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A RAINBOW BRIDGE OR CRYSTAL MARBLE!  Zeus didn't do anything a marble in Greek Mythology.  I MADE THAT UP FOR STORY PURPOSES!  There's nothing about these in Greek Mythology, trust me.  So, yeah.



 Levi stared at Iris with a discomforted expression. After his body was eaten by the angler fish, the Great God Leviathan had returned to Olympus, to learn about 'humans'. When he'd returned, Levi understood why Iris was so knowledgeable.


  'So they were the reason Prometheus was punished for all of those eons.. And I learned who Hercules was! She was just pronouncing Heracles' name wrong. I wonder if it's one of those 'language barrier' things she'd talked about before?'


  Before Levi could slip down the rabbit hole of his thoughts, Iris spoke; "So? What's the Aquarian Candidate?"


  "What have you learned so far?" Levi asked, curious to see if she'd done any of her own research.


  "Nothing about what the Aquarian Candidate is," Iris replied sarcastically.


Seeing Levi becoming exasperated himself, Iris stated; "The Greae gifted the power known as 'Pontus' Legacy' to stop the Draconian War. Afterwards, the Undines were given dominion over the ocean currents, to maintain balance and prevent further war. I've also read that the war involved all the kingdoms, and it had started over resources-"


  "That isn't completely true, but continue," Levi interrupted nonchalantly.


  "Seriously?! That's the whole foundation to the countless books I've read! The kingdoms basically became too greedy, so the gods gifted the Undines with the power, to regulate the other kingdoms.."


  Selena cleared her throat, gaining the other two's attention; "It was far more complicated than that, dear. The Aquarian Kingdoms were stuck in a cycle of never-ending war that was literally threatening to tear the planet apart. Back then, all Aquarians had powers to some extent, and the result was utter chaos."


  "Arrogant kings and queens were popping up left and right, claiming to be the true descendants of Poseidon, the fools. The histories all clearly state that the Merfolk are the closest descendants to Poseidon himself. But that is also the reason I assume they weren't picked.."


  "Why? Did the original Merman piss him off?" Iris asked, half-joking.


  Selena smiled, happy to see Iris finally paying full attention, then continued; "The 'Original Merman', as you put it, was named Triton. The full name of their current king is Atlas Triton. His family has ruled the Merfolk since creation. He is directly related to Poseidon, or so the ancient records say."


  Levi perked up at Selena's knowledge; "I'm surprised that such details survived. Where did you learn that from?"


  Selena beamed; "I'm an expert in the old language. I've seen most of the ancient texts, and am a regular consultant for the scholars studying them."


  Levi smiled just as brightly at Selena as she had at him; "That is impressive. I didn't realize you were so dedicated to you Acolyte duties, or is this a personal interest of yours?"


  Selena smirked; "I haven't maintained my position all these years by being dispensable.. I realized at a young age that learning the ancient language would help me in my endeavors."



  "Speaking of languages: can one of you two explain why I can understand you, and read your language? I didn't want to say anything; I know I shouldn't look a gifted horse in the mouth, but it's kinda been eating away at me.."


  Levi and Selena shared a look before Selena asked; "What's a horse?"


  Before Iris could answer, Levi perked up; "Oh! I know what those are! Father made them as gifts for other gods, and apparently the human's world that Iris comes from."


  "Oh yeah.. I kinda forgot about that. When I hear the name Poseidon, I automatically think of either the ocean, or a movie that I think I might have a strong aversion to now," Iris shook like she had a chill as she finished.


  "I had an interest in Greek Mythology when I was a kid because I had to do a project on Greece.. But who's Pontus? I've never heard that name before."


  Levi took a deep breath; "Pontus is a Primordial God. Do you know about the Titans? The siblings that rose up against their father with their mother's aid?


  "Are you talking about Zeus, Poseidon, and their other brothers and sisters taking down Cronus?"


  Levi chuckled at the happy gleam in Iris' eyes; "No, actually that was the War with the Olympians. I'm talking about Cronus himself. He wanted to rule the Heavens.."


  "Once his mother Gaea(Gaia) became furious with his Father for locking away their first-born children within Tartarus, she plotted with her sons to dethrone him."


  "Gaea fashioned a flint sickle, and then they removed his, umm... Y-You get the idea-anyway.. Cronus took power, married Rhea, and re-imprisoned the siblings he'd released from Tartarus to aid him.." 


  Iris quirked her head with a confused expression; "Then who is Pontus?! Why does he matter?!"


  "I'm getting there! Supposedly Gaea was faithful to Uranus, but two of their children were clearly different from the rest. Pontus, being the primordial water god, and Uranus being the primordial god of the heavens.."


  "Oh!" Selena shrieking upon her realization; "Oceanus and Tethys! They were from Pontus?!"


  "Yes.. Gaea couldn't hide her betrayal, and that was what set Uranus down the road of distrust. If he hadn't of been betrayed, then he might have left his children be.."


  "I recognize Oceanus.. Wasn't he the only Titan that completely stayed out of the Titan's war with the Olympians?"


  Levi blinked in surprise at Iris; "Yes, you are correct! Like their father, Pontus: Oceanus and Tethys generally stayed out of the affairs of the other gods. Instead, they created the Potamoi and the Oceanids-"


  Selena shot up from her seat; "The Oceanids are our ancestors! So, s-so we're related to a Primordial God?!"


  Levi chuckled; "Your generation is actually related to both Pontus, and Poseidon. The Fate's Spindle necklaces made sure of that. Some Oceanids and Merfolk were matched eons ago. The only ones that resemble their original ancestors are the Gorgons."


  Adjusting his position, Levi continued; "After Zeus rescued the Olympians, and freed the Hecatoncheires and Cyclops from Tartarus; he and a few of the other Titans fought and won against Cronus. It took them over ten-thousand years, but they'd done it-"


  'I thought the War of the Titans lasted ten years? Isn't that what Hesiod and Homer wrote? Well, considering how long people lived back then, and how little we understood about space and time.. I guess ten-thousand years would be incomprehensible to the ancient people..'


  Hearing Levi say Pontus' name again, she refocused her attention on him as he spoke; "Poseidon was granted dominion over the sea after the war, but he had to get the power to control it: this is where Pontus comes in.."


  "When mankind rose up, Poseidon created a world for all the gods' children that resided within the sea, to keep them safe. The power to create an entire world couldn't be done without Primordial Magic, so Poseidon had to go to Pontus. Not being of his direct bloodline, however, Poseidon couldn't directly wield it, so he entrusted it to his relatives that shared a common blood tie-"


  "The Greae?" Selena interrupted without realizing it.


  Levi beamed at Selena for her enthusiasm; "correct again! Through Ceto, Oceanus' daughter. They wielded the power until the Draconian Wars began.. The amount of magic being released was affecting the flow of the currents. Causing massive crop failures, earthquakes, and Ray Bursts."


  "What's a Ray Burst?" Iris asked, never having heard the term before.


  Selena chimed in; "That's because you haven't experienced one yet. It's when our Star rotates abnormally close to our planet during it's cycle."


  Iris unintentionally scoffed; "Sorry to tell you this, but planets rotate around stars, not the other way around-"


  Levi chuckled; "Not here. The planet is eight times larger than the sun. It has to be to hold all the different creatures and species that live here. Krakens aren't the biggest creatures here.."


  Iris sat in silence for a moment as she processed what she'd learned. 'That still defies the laws of Physics, but hey: when in Rome..'


  After a few minutes had passed, Iris looked at Levi as she motioned with her hands; "So the Greae gave the Undines the power, but how did that stop the other races from having magic?"


  Selena leaned forward slightly as she spoke; "That was the Pact of the Greae. They could only pass the power to the Undines if all of the other gods agreed to seal their children's powers. Each offered a drop of blood. As the drops build on top of each other, they crystallized, and turned into a crown.. The Aquarian Crown."


  "Is it that Tiara thing I never wear?!" Iris asked nervously, recalling the multiple times she'd knocked the surprisingly heavy thing onto the floor.


  Levi and Selena both chuckled at her anxious expression, then Levi answered; "No, that's not the real one. It's just a ceremonial head piece. The real one was lost shortly after the Draconian war ended."


  His appearance turning serious, Levi added; "There is a Prophecy that says 'when old mistakes are made anew, a Candidate to the crown will appear. When their labors are acknowledged by the gods, the Heir will be proven. Bringing eternal peace and hope to creation'..."



  Iris was blankly staring at the tiny god in shock when she commented; "'Labors', hmm? Where's Hercules when I need him?"


  Levi cleared his throat; "Ah, it's actually Heracles.."

  This work is a bit slow-paced to start, with lots of comedy and movie/TV/Anime references mixed in. It gets pretty action/adventure heavy later, and I believe you will like the variety of sea creatures, monsters, and various Greek Gods that make appearances throughout the book. And when I say ‘Greek Gods’, I don’t mean your typical Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades trio. Poseidon plays a large part, but have you ever wondered about the Titans, like Cronus? What were their origins? If you’re curiosity is peaked, please check out my story. I love my characters and their worlds, and I hope you do, too.  (:

House Iris

An ornately decored carriage bearing the crest of House Rothschild accompanied by a dozen mounted arms men rode up before the wrought gates of the estate of House Iris. The guards waved the carriage and their escorts in after recognizing the crest and the whole convoy arrived at the porte cochere where a small army of doormen and butlers quickly presented themselves neatly in two rolls, welcoming the guest exiting the carriage gratefully.

Dressed in a velvet red dress that bared her shoulders with a thin shawl to cover her shoulders from the sun, Titanna carefully climbed down the steps placed by the doorman and a bundle of silks rammed into her.

"Sister Titanna!" A bubbly female a few years younger than Titanna smiled at her with rosy cheeks and eyes shining with excitement. "You are back!"

"Greetings, Lady Rosette!" Titanna patted the little girl on her head gently. "How are you faring?"

"I'm good! I'm so happy to see you!" The girl hopped out from Titanna's embrace and did a little spin on the spot. "Now, that you are back! Tell me all about your adventures and battles when you left to subdue the barbarians in the south!"

"Rosie!" A regal bearing middle age lady still bearing traces of her beauty rebuked Rosette from the doorway. "How can you greet guests this way!"

"My apologies, Lady Rothschild," The elegant lady gave a curtsy. "Welcome to my humble abode."

"Lady Iris," Titanna returned her greeting. "It's alright, you do not have to be so formal. After all, I treat Rosette like a sister!"

"Still, as the host, we must have manners!" Lady Iris smiled. "Come in, come in!"

"Hehe," Rosette grinned and wrapped her arms around Titanna. "You must tell me about your adventures  over tea!"

"Yes, yes!" Titanna gave a rare smile as the girl dragged her into the house and towards the garden.

A large gazebo sat in the middle of the garden surrounded by flowers and rare plants carefully maintained by magic and manual labor. Snatches of conversation and laughter drifted over as dozens of noble ladies and their lady in waiting gossiped over tea and delicacies. Servants stood behind an ornate screen constantly worked a cord linked to a fan hung on the ceiling, creating a constant draft of cool air.

A low hush descended upon the garden party as Titanna made her entrance as every eye turned to her direction. She paused and Rosette turned around in confusion, "Come on!"

Titanna gave a small smile at the girl and steeled herself before she resumed her steps. The ladies in the gazebo covered their lips with their hand fans and whispered in low tones to their neighbors as they eyed her entrance.

"So, you still have the guts to show your face around here?" A sneer came from a group of ladies dressed in the latest society fashion. "After all that had happened, how... carefree can one be!"

"Of course, now that the old Lord is gone, someone can steal the seat of the Lord!" Another voice from the group added in. "How shameless!"

"Lady Titanna!" Two fashionably dressed ladies appeared from the side and waved at her eagerly. "Over here!"

"Lady Sophia and Lady Grace!" She sat down on the table with the two who were her classmates in the School of Magic.

"Ignore those four!" Lady Sophia who had fiery red hair and freckles fiercely said. "They kept badmouthing you ever since word of your return came!"

"Yes," Lady Grace who had a pale complex and golden brown hair bobbed her head in agreement. "They just want to make trouble for you!"

"What are they saying?" Titanna frowned as she took a sip of tea poured by the fawning Rosette. 

"Something about how you betrayed your father and brother," Lady Sophia said in a low voice. "And how you sold them out to the barbarians in return for your life!"

Titanna sighed inwardly. Part of that was the truth, and she felt a pang of sadness at the memory of seeing the ash grey body of her father. "It does not matter."

"They are taking this chance to smear your name and your family!" Lady Grace frowned. "And the rest of these... people here love to gossip about such things! I fear, it will not do you good when you formally take over the position as head of the Rothschild!"

"Did they say anything when I and my late father wasn't in the city?" Titanna tapped a finger on the table in thought. 

"No," Both girls replied together. "Only after word of your return came, did they start talking about your misdeeds."

"I see," Titanna took another sip of her tea. "Clearly they are spreading these gossips on purpose."

"To undermine your authority?" Both girls' eyes widened. "But... Oh... Deflin and Taros?"

"I guess it's a ploy by them," Titanna replied calmly. "Now that the Rothschild is weakened, they want to be in power. What better way to do that then to weaken my influence among the people and other Houses?"

"Don't worry!" Lady Sophia patted her chest. "I can ensure House Canda stands by your side!"

"House Westlake will stand by you too!" Lady Grace added. "If my father does... I make him!"

"Hehe, I am sure my mother stands by your side too!" Rosette raised her hand as she joined in the conversation. "Sister Titanna is so strong! No one can defeat her!"

"Thank you all!" Titanna smiled warmly at their support and patted Rosette. "But... there will be danger and I am afraid of dragging all of you down with me!"

"Hey! We have been friends since Magic School!" Lady Sophia held Titanna's hand tightly. "How can we stand at one side and watch when you need help?"

"Yes!" Lady Grace and Rosette both declared. "We will do our best for you!"

"Alright!" Titanna nodded and made up her mind. "I need your influence!"

"Influence?" The girls tilted their heads in confusion. "What can we do?"

"Sophia, your family deals with the grain merchants in the market," Titanna said. "I like you to put a good word for me among the merchants. I will talk with the merchant guild leaders another time, but I like to lay out some groundwork before our talks."

"Sure!" Lady Sophia quickly agreed. "That's simple!"

"Grace, I know your family deals with textile merchants," Titanna said. "Can you do the same?"

Lady Grace nodded. "But why the merchants? Shouldn't the support of the Major Houses to be more important?"

"There's nine Great Houses and fourteen Minor Houses..." Titanna explained. "While the Minor Houses provided supplies and gold instead of soldiers. Four of these Great Houses did not send troops down when ordered."

"I am certain that these four, namely House Deflin and Taros are the main culprits," Titanna said. "They will surely pull the Great Houses who had sent troops out over to their side."

"Which means they will have more of the Great Houses supporting them," Lady Grace said in horror. "They just need to pull one of the Great Houses over to their side..."

"Yes," Titanna nodded. "But I hope to count on the Minor Houses instead."

"But the Minor Houses has no forces for you to draw on!" Lady Sophia said. Both her and Grace's families were from a Minor House. 

"Wait!" Lady Sophia leaned forward and spoke in a low voice. "I have heard from my father that the Houses are buying a lot of grain and salt. Way more than what they normally buy. Are they...?"

Titanna hearing the news gave a solemn nod, "I think they are stockpiling supplies for a war!"

The girls drew in a sharp intake of breath upon hearing Titanna's words. Unlike Titanna, both of them did not show much interest in fighting.

"Try to spread the word to not sell to them!" Titanna said. "We can't let them have their way!"

"If I can get the support from the Guilds and the Minor Houses who are the ones supporting the entire city's markets," Titanna gave a predatory smile. "We can cut off the opposing faction's source of weapons and supplies before they can stockpile enough! We can win this!"

UNS Singapore, Captain's Quarters

"What the hell is this?" Blake dropped the tablet on the table. "Are you telling me we have another mad God on the loose?"

Fleet Intelligence Officer Tavor stood at attention and confirmed by nodding. "Yes, Sir. Claymore Two has encountered this Entity and had managed with the help of Elizabeth Regnar destroyed its host before it could create greater problems."

Blake sighed and rubbed his face. "Damn Gods, fucking popping out like rabbits..."

"How did it came about to this?" Blake continued to grill Tavor. "I thought you had eyes on that Hunter girl?"

"Yes, Sir, it was an... oversight on my part," Tavor admitted his error. "I was hoping to catch a bigger fish..."

"But not at the expanse of putting people in danger!" Blake smacked the table in anger. "What happens if she tried to summon or do some kind of ritual right in the Marine barracks?"

Tavor kept quiet as Blake raged on. "How many lives will be lost if something like another hero appears?"

"Sorry, sir!" Tavor apologized. "That will not happen again."

"Make sure it doesn't!" Blake huffed. "I don't want something like this to happen again!"

"Any unknown artifact, idol, statue, or charm," Blake said. "Are to be secured and tallied by the Occult Intelligence section! I do not want you to tread into murky waters, especially with something we do not understand!"

"Is that clear?" Blake glared at Tavor who remained at attention.

"Yes, sir!" Tavor replied. 

"Good, now, what do we know about this new Entity?" Blake asked, his anger lessened. 

"As of now, forensics is still combing the site," Tavor replied. "Statements from Claymore Two members and Elizabeth gave us some clues but not much."

"What we do know is that Entity has an ability that works similarly like the Princess's Charm effort," Tavor said. "But strength and area of effort are at least a hundred times of hers."

"What?" Blake frowned. He knew how irritating the effects of Charm has since it affected him several times. "So will our anti charm measures work against it?" 

He rubbed the ring on his forefinger as he asked. It was made by Magister Thorn and enchanted with an anti charm spell and he had mandated all senior officers are to wear the ring at all times.

"I expect that our current anti charm measures will require to be boosted," Tavor said. "We are after all dealing with a God or even a fragment of a God being which powers greatly overwhelms our own magic capabilities."

Blake nodded, "Get Thorn to see if he can upgrade or come out with something."

Tavor nodded. "Also from the findings of the incident site, we found carvings that greatly resemble greek or roman architecture."

Blake rapped his fingers on the table. "So we are dealing with something from Greek or Roman mythology?"

"Yes, Sir," Tavor said. "Very high chance, Dr. Sharon is working on it and she has informed me that should involve a female Goddess from either Greek or Roman myths."

"She is narrowing it down to those Goddess that the myths say that they have the powers of charming people," Tavor continued. "So far, she reported that she has narrowed down a few choices but she needs more time to be sure."

"Got it," Blake nodded and dismissed Tavor. "Report to me once she has something confirmed."

"Yes, Sir!" Tavor saluted and turned to exit the room.

"Tavor!" Blake stopped the Intel Officer before he left the room. "I don't want a repeat of what has happened in Orwell's Point. No backdoors, hidden ops, or department rivalries. Report everything to me or I will find someone else to replace your post. Is that clear?"

"Crystal clear, Sir!"

As dawn approached on a cold winter day Kerauno Drakon, or Drak as his friends called him, was already on his way to work. He was riding on his motorcycle, when there was sudden heavy downfall of rain.

"Fuck it's so cold! Why did it start raining? It's not supposed to rain till tomorrow." Drak cursed through his helmet. As he was cursing he rode on to a bridge, that unknown to him would be the place of his demise.

As he rode over the bridge he hit a pack of black ice. When Drak hit the ice he started to lose control of the motorcycle. "SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!!" Could be heard as Drak neared the edge of the bridge, and then 'crash' the bike along with Drak flew over into the ravine.

As Drak was falling yelled, "SHITTTT!!!!!!" Right after Drak hit the ground and his soul left his body, two men suddenly appeared. One through a flash of light that look stunningly beautiful. And one through a torrent of lightning that looked like a human version of a Greek statue statue of Zeus.

"Are you sure about this Zeus?" The beautiful man asked. "Yes Johnathan I am." answer Zeus solemnly. "If that is the case then we will at least make sure he is born from a lesser incarnation of you." As Johnathan said this he reach for the soul of Drak and disappeared in a new flash of light. "I hope that you can succeed the old man son." murmured Zeus.

For what seemed to be both an eternity and a single moment Drak awoke seemingly alone in a place of pure white. "HELLO, is there anybody here?!" Drak confusedly screamed. "Ye...." "Who the hell are you!!" yell at the faintly glowing old man.

The old man just stared at the man in front of him and said "Like Father like son, just as rude as Zeus. Well anyway I AM GOD. And I will explain when the others have arrived. I just wanted to look at the son of an old friend of mine."

Drak stared at the existence calling itself god for a few minutes and then asked. "Like what kind of god? Like the god, just a god from a certain mythology, or the god of death?" GOD responded a little surprised. "You're taking this surprisingly well, for someone who just died. To answer your question I AM THE GOD of everything, THE GOD of every world, every soul, every law and aspect, I AM THE GOD OF GODS. I AM GOD."

Drak was dumbfounded, it was as though his word had this power to them that made you just want to kneel in reverence. After a few moments Drak asked "So what did you mean I'm the son of your friend? My parents are just normal people, as far as I know."  "Your father is Zeus the true god of lightning and as for your mother, I am not telling  you." GOD said back jokingly.

"My father is Zeus! ….  Wait why won't you tell me about my mother? That's just me....." Drak was interrupted by a flash  of light. And then a person appeared suddenly from the light clutching their chest and grunting painfully. Drak ran up to the person to help, "Are you ok? What's wrong?" he asked hurriedly.

The woman stops grunting and looks around to only see Drak. Frighteningly asks, "What's happening? I thought I was dying?" "Well, you did die and apparently that is God. Oh, I forgot I'm Kerauno Drakon but call me Drak." Drak answered bluntly, as he pointed at God. The woman stared at Drak dumbfounded and looked in the direction he pointed only for there to be nothing where he was pointing.

"What do you mean I'm dead!!? And what god there's nobody there?! The woman panically yelled at Drak. "Well I woke up here after I wrecked my motorcycle off a bridge. So I assumed you had a similar experience as me sense you appear grunting in pain and clutching your chest. And can't you see the glowing old man standing there?" As Drak said this and looked back towards where God was he saw nothing.

"Well, that's a little awkward. Anyway, what is your name?" Drak asked the woman. "My name is Iris Vance. The last thing I remember is walking down the street when some lunatic started stabbing people, be... before they a.. a.. attacked me, and then I was here." Iris said somewhat calmly at first then as the more she spoke and the realization sank in she got frightened again. "Are you the reaper?!! Are you here for my soul?!!" Iris asks now terrified at the situation.

"No I'm not the reaper and I don't want your soul. I'm just as confused as you are in this situation." Answered Drak. "But, there was a person called god standing there earlier. They also said they will explain when the others are here. So lets just calm down and wait for the others to die I guess." he said morbidly. As that was said more flashes of lights appeared as more people arrived.

After a few hours of waiting and conversing with some of the new arrivals, god reappeared from Drak's point of view and appeared to others.

"Hello. I AM GOD. After several million millenniums of existing, I am looking for MY successor. To ensure I find one worthy of MY throne, I have had MY angels gather several thousand contestants. Now you all shall participate in a game for a few hundred years. You each will have a system and choose three powers to accompany you in your new life. after you familiarize yourself with your new systems, you will be sent to a world of your choosing or one at random. There you will have twenty years of peaceful growth, before you can freely traverse other worlds. Now I hope for a worthy successor. You have an hour before you are sent to your first world, good luck."

After God finished speaking, he disappeared again. Most people were left shocked at what they heard, some were excited to get a new chance at life, and some for the potential battles to come got their blood boiling, that portion included Drak. Those around Drak could vaguely see lightning  rolling across his body. "What is that?" Commented a random person looking at Drak.

Drak was brought out of his thoughts as he heard the comment. He decided to just ignore the person and activate his system. What Drak saw was general information, stats, and slots for his abilities. Dark hid the stat information and looked at the rest.

As Dark was looking at the question marks and his apparent divinity, Dark thought. "I guess My father really is Zeus, but what is mother I'm guessing that is what the ?????? is from." Drak was brought out of thought by Iris and Marcus, the other person Drak got close to over the long hours of waiting.

Marcus's full name was Marcus Holden and the way he lost his life was nearly identical to Drak. He was riding a motorcycle as well when a car hit him off an overpass. He was a bit older than Drak(21) and Iris(23) at 31 years old when they passed.

Marcus asked. "Do the two of you want to be friends with me?" It was then that Dark noticed the shop, a friend function, a mailbox, and a notification.

(Notice, the shop function is only available for a limited time After reincarnation the shop sill only open whenever the user reaches the hundred level milestone. Some abilities and objects will also only be available when the user reaches the age of five to avoid overloading newborn bodies. Exceptions will be basic bloodlines, and only one bloodline will be available per person. Depending on the bloodline chosen, to avoid unnecessary complications others will ignore any abnormalities as a result of said bloodline.)

Iris answered." Sure more allies never hurt. What about you Drak?" With that Drak was once again brought back out of thought. "Yeah, but I guess we will have to meet up in twenty years. That's weird to think about I only lived for 21 years" Drak responded. They then talked about the abilities and worlds they were going to chose for the next hour. When God reappeared the friend said goodbye and was excited at the adventure that awaited them.

In the country Telskyura, an impossible baby was being born. That would change the world of Eden forever. A male demigod was being born in the Kali Familia.

We follow Drak a young man who has just lost his life. Drak is thrusted in to a deadly competition to find a replacement for God. Will he walk the path of a hero, a god, demon, devil,  or a path in-between?  

This is a my take on God Succession System please read the original and I got inspired with the character idea from DC: The Male Amazon.
