This book is a collection of inspirational quotes and passages on success .

Some authors in chat talked about a book's worth. 

Most agreed that its value depends on the readers' willingness to pay for a novel. And the most selling here in WN are romance and h e n t a i.

Honestly, it is true in a sense that most authors who don't write these two genres or have the general audience receive lesser income to none. However, there are also other genres that are popular.

What saddening is that a story which has no s** will be buried deep in the list of books.

One time, a person told me that he won't read books without s**. I think you understand what I mean.

Sad... 

Those good literary authors will just choose Amazon. I totally agree with that.

But, is that what really makes a book valuable? So, the authors will just resort to writing stories with s**  since most will welcome it.

I feel sad if it is.

I've been reading and watching epic and classic stories like Mary Poppins, The Twelve Kingdoms, Fushigi Yuugi, The Vision of Escaflowne, Star Wars, Anne of Green Gables, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, and others. 

These are great books but I'm not sure if the new generation is still reading them.

Hoping they are.

So, what is the worth of a writer? Of a person's storyteller's heart and creativity?

Will it just be buried deep in isolation? Will it just be following the flow of readership and abandon its desire to produce good stories?

I disagree. We still love good stories. There are still more readers who love good reads. In fact, these type of stories are more engaging and imploring. Those epic stories won't be called epic if no one reads them anymore. They are classified as such because their worth is beyond trends.

They simply go against the flow and create a tsunami, leaving people awestruck.

That is the type of book I want to write. I prefer to be remembered as an author who writes good stories without compromising the principles I believe.

Don't get me wrong. There are still good books with a bit of those s** things out there that you can read. But they don't focus on those scenes but on the story itself.

I am a person who never follows trends. And I care less what people call me. I will rather be true to myself than to follow the crowd and lose my self-respect.

In my opinion, the worth of a story is not only on the business side but also on how much heart and effort the author gives to his/her books.

To authors: Let us enjoy writing good stories. Let us be proud of what we write for not everyone can be authors. And not all writers can finish a book. The truth, most books here are unfinished.

To readers: Support good books and give the authors that confidence to continue writing good stories. Without your support, the authors might give up. If no one read good stories, then there's no point on writing one. But I believe most readers still love those type of books.

A year later.....

It's late December, I took 2 weeks off to visit Tiere at Jakarta, staying at her apartment. Tiere told me she loves her job and she made a lot of money. I'm so happy that I let her chase her dreams. And I, I finally got to work at my dream game company, was accepted right after a month dating Tiere. She's like a lucky charm to me.

The sun shining through the open curtain, I woke up before the alarm start beeping. I turned it off once it rang cause it's Sunday, I leaned forward looking at the peaceful looks of Tiere while she's sleeping, drooling on her pillow, greasy hair, and her messy waterproof makeup, did she forget to wash her face or? I use my thumb to wipe her eye –shadow but I didn't make it, for me she's always beautiful, my lips lifted upward I feel warm in my heart as it beats faster cause I realize how much I love her. Somehow it's so calming and my heart is melting. I leaned my head forward again, kiss her lips once and she pouted. "I want to sleeeppppp" she said, tossing her body to the other side. I laid back on the bed, hug her from behind. 

"Good morning, my dear" I whispered. I heard her sniffing smiles. Then my phone ruined my Sunday. 

drrrttt drrttt drrttt

I sit up to catch my phone, my mom's picture popped up. DAMN! SHE IS VIDEO CALLING ME RIGHT NOW? I LIED TO HER! But it's okay, I am 24 years old. BUT NO, JUST PRETEND I'M IN THE HOTEL.

I click the green button soon as my mom's face close up-ly appeared. I was kind of shock, my heart start pumping fast, throbbing behind my ribs, it's going to crack soon.

"Hii.. Mom" my jaw turns rigid. 

"Hey, so, you're at Jakarta?" my mom asked, still smiling.  

I nod my head, "Yes"

"Huh.. it's so hard to ask you to come to Miami, but when it is about Tiere, you arrived soon as she asked" 

I told my mom about Tiere and my mom was so happy about it. I don't know she used to ship me with Tiere since grade –school. I don't understand my mom sometimes. 

"Mom..." I rolled my eyes. 

"So where's she?"

"She is beside me..ups" I covered my mouth, DAMN! MY MOM PURPOSELY SHIFT MY CONCENTRATION.

Her smile disappeared, her face turned scary. THIS IS THE END OF MY LIFE!

"HAA!! YOU!!! Bastard! You slept with TIERE?? YOU DARE LIED TO ME?? YOU WANNA GET MARRIED SOON, HUH?" 

"Momm.. mom... listen" like usually....

Then, how about Caroline and the flowers?

Back to that time.

Once I've done my confessions towards Tiere, I walked back to my car light –heartedly. I feel happy and relieved at the same time.

It's Caroline. Oh, I really forgot about her! I was kinda shock.

"Ryan.. where the hell are you?"

"Caroline.. I'm so sorry to say this. But, I think I'd like to stay with Tiere cause I love her" I said as I scratched my forehead, I know I sound like a total jerk but this is for the best.

"What???" she moaned and hung up the phone, before I even explain. 

Then the florist got to call me. 

"Hello, Giany's florist here. Am I talking with Mr.Valerian?"
 "Hello, miss florist. The bouquet and the chocolate box, sorry.. my girlfriend just left the town, so I'm giving that package for you. Thankyou!"

It turned her speechless, maybe I sound pathetic but not too pathetic that makes her confused. Ah, not a big deal.

That's how I deal with my puppy lover and the first roses I bought.

Ryan (Valerian) : a tall nerd guy, he used to be thin, but he did some work out. He has a dark hair color and a pair of glasses but just in some times since he plays computer a lot. Sometimes he doesn't put any glasses while on date. Well, he is kind of good looking back in High School, just very thin so nobody noticed them, like he is nearly invisible. Ryan is from a very rich family too, but he is simple, so nobody has ever realized it. 

Tiere : a nerd girl who tends to be so active, and talkative. She has a dark past during her school time, students like to judge her, but since graduated from high school she did some improvements of her both appearance and her image that makes her prettier in the present time. But nah, in the past time, she is kind of retarded. Her family isn't that rich, but her mom's new husband and her dad's new wife are billionaires. But Tiere won't take a cent from them. She is tough. 

Caroline : she is one of the queen bees gang in their school. But she is the most normal among the others, I mean.. she is kinda study a lot rather than hanging out and shopping, even though she does a lot of shopping too. She is from a very rich family, that's why people like to cling into her. Nowadays people.

Calvin : Tiere's ex –boyfriend. Son of a famous cosmetic company. Calvin and Tiere were not in the same school. They met in the pub where Tiere worked at. That time, Calvin has a crush on her, and get to know her better. Tiere doesn't change because of Calvin, so don't get her wrong. She changed because she feel kinda ashamed of her past life during her school time.

We've all felt at one point in our life that we were going to die. We've imagined it accepted it but then we open our eyes and realise that we weren't dead yet.

I opened my eyes to see that I was Still alive and it shocked me. Mario Jose sat on the bed not caring if I died or lived and I suddenly felt rage.

"Why do you hate me so much?" I asked crying. I struggled to breath while my lungs burnt.

"You ask why, is that answer not obvious to you. You think you can buy me with your wealth just because you are the senators daughter you think everyone will bow to you?" He yelled looking up at me with more rage than is allowed for one man.

"You agreed to marry me I didn't force you to neither did my father," he sprung up from the bed with a murderous look on his face like he was going to murder me. And maybe he was. He moved to where I stood so swiftly I could have missed him walking. He held my hands tightly and stared at me boring into my soul.

"Do not give me that crap, Monica. You didn't force me but you left me no choice. no choice." he screamed at my face and I shivered in fear. Fear of the unknown. This him I did not know but wished to know. I wanted to know all of him the sides he hid from the world and the sides he let the world see.

"I love you Mario don't you see that, I love you more than I've ever loved anyone more than I love my self more than I love anything," I cried. Trying to reason with a rage filled man is as useless as reasoning with a woman in love but I didn't care. I needed him to know that I loved him very much. That was all that mattered to me at the point.

"You don't know what love is. You don't!" He yelled. "Why are you here? " he asked pushing me against the door again. He bent down so his eyes could meet mine and at that point I forgot how to speak "

"We are married now Jose__I___"

"That doesn't answer by damn question bitch!" he said. Before I could speak again he hit me across the face and I fell sideways falling on my knees. 


He dragged my hair pulling me up so I could face him. "Answer the damn question or you will regret it?" He shouted menacingly. Looking into his eyes I've never seen such rage. I felt scared and turned on at the same time. I don't know what came over me but my inner demons took over and I kissed him.

If only he could love me, if only. I'll be the happiest person in the world. I do not mind walking on fire as long as he will love me, if only he will. But he hates me, my husband hates me. He has a lover.

It was 15 years ago when it happend. I just moved from my old house because I was trying to start new in a new town. I had to leave all my friends behind because they knew what I couldn't let anybody else know. 

This town had bright, happy, and truthful people–or so I thought. I had pets before I moved, so I figured that I would get another one. A pet that would love me, and protect me. Samson was my first dog. He kept me company and gave me love and made me feel safe. I hated the thought of being alone, but I didn't want to be with anybody either, so I just got pets and replaced human affection with animal affection. That might sound crazy, but it works for me so I'm sticking with it. 

Even though I'm an introvert, I still have plenty of human interaction. It's just always in the bedroom. I had a lover before I moved but he didn't want to come with me, so I had to leave him back home. It broke my heart that he wouldn't move with me, but that's just how my life goes, so I'm working with what I have. The way I see it is you're not lonely if you're okay with being alone, so that's what I'm doing now–sitting alone not being lonely.

Whenever I'm down in the dumps, I always look up inspirational quotes on Google and try to feel better about myself. works 50% of the time but the other 50% is just lost in this abyss of depression, self-loathing, and food binges. That's what I did then and that's still what I do now. But now, I added another item to the mix. I like to write short stories about imaginative, wild adventures that I wish I could be on or anything to enlighten my mood and get rid of all these weird feelings that have nowhere else to go.

That night of the accident, I didn't have my writing to make those weird feelings go away, so I did something else. Something drastic that I 100% regret now. Although, when I did it, I was so glad to release every embodiment of rage I ever bottled up; refusing to let go. I bet your wondering what that "accident"  was. Well I'm going to tell you for my parole officer is making me. Seems that writing is the only thing that keeps me calm these days, so if I write it out, maybe I'll lose a little bit more of that anger that's bubbling underneath; waiting to be released.


Neates House. 3PM

Jim started to panic. A moment earlier there was calmness and serenity in his groggy mind. Now, he rapidly felt pressure in his lungs increasing. Breathing was impossible. The grip around his neck was unbreakable and the lethargy of moments ago was evolving into an adrenaline rush. Darkness receded in slowly from his peripheral vision, and he tried with all his might to break free. His lizard brain took over. Fight or flight. He kicked his leg out at the gardener's stepladder less than a metre away, trying to gain some sort of leverage. The oxygen to his brain was completely cut off now, due to the force placed on his carotid artery. Darkness came faster, taking over completely. 

Police Station. 3PM

As Claire pulled up to the kerb outside the quaint old police station she could see part way down the alley leading to the police vehicle car park. She caught sight of two PCSOs smoking cigarettes under a plastic shelter. She could not quite explain why, but this image irritated her, as though they were somehow not supposed to smoke or take breaks. She assumed she was just feeling irritable in general now, and everything was starting to annoy her. The rain was incessant and Claire really did not want to get wet again so she looked for a more covered parking spot. The entrance to the police station had steps on one side and ramp on the other. The side with the ramp was also covered by a sort of makeshift plastic ceiling, presumably because people in wheelchairs were not allowed to get wet. 
Claire tried to put such antagonistic thoughts out of her head as she pulled the car next to a tree. She was about five steps away from the start of the rain-shielded ramp, which was as close as she could possibly get. Nervous at the prospect of talking to the police, Claire began rehearsing the conversation in her head. Who was missing and for how long? Would they think she was being ridiculous? Would they give her a ticket for wasting police time? Is it possible to waste the time of people stood outside under a rain shelter, smoking and laughing with each other? 
The last thought made Claire roll her eyes in exasperation at her continued negativity. She opened the door and ran to the slope. A satisfying blip came from the car as she remotely locked the doors. 
Claire could smell damp as she entered the foyer of this undoubtedly old police station. Everything looked dated. There were old posters hanging on the wall encouraging you to either go into rehab or be an informant. There were wooden benches lining the wall, clearly designed to be as uncomfortable as possible in the hope that people got numb arses and walked away before they got their turn at the front desk. The 'officer' manning this particular front desk was similar in appearance to a Scotch egg: Round and orange. 
The officer was rotund, to say the least. She was wearing a white shirt, although it was hard to imagine shirts in her size were ever considered suitable for a police officer. She had short, frizzy, orange hair, offset by blue plastic earrings and unflattering, round glasses. Claire had visions of this office jumping on a hardened criminal, screaming at them to give her the chocolate back. It was her chocolate, God damn it, and she'd fight anyone for it. Claire used her inappropriate humour to force a smile onto her face. 
"Hello," she said, trying to get the egg's attention. 
"Yes, how can I help?" It replied. 
"I need to report a missing person." Jim said, and noticed the creature's name badge. It read, 'Police Staff E Johnson'. E for Egg, maybe, Claire pondered. 
"Let me take some details. What's your name and date of birth?" Asked Johnson. 
Strange first question, thought Claire. This isn't about me. Nevertheless, she gave her details, along with her phone number and address when the officer requested them. 
"Right. So, who's missing?" Asked the officer, finally getting to the important part. 
"My boyfriend." Claire replied. 
"When did he go missing?"
"Today. A couple of hours ago." Claire said, realising as soon as the words came out of her mouth that she was sounding a bit mad. Police Staff Johnson put down her pen and looked at Claire. 
"That's not a long time. Is there anything that makes you think he's gone missing? Where would he normally be at this time?"
"Well, normally, he's at work." Claire said, realising that this sentence had not helped her cause. "But," she continued, "He hasn't been responding to any calls and I found his car abandoned on the road nowhere near where he works."
"Oh, right," Johnson said, slightly more interested, "I'll need to put a report on, and a police officer will need to speak to you. Bear with me."
The officer walked away from the window and sat at a desk. She picked up a telephone and dialed. A few seconds later, she started talking, using phrases like 'delta', 'misper', 'guardian reference' and 'domestic relationship'. After only a minute of this, she put down the phone and returned to the window where Claire was patiently stood. 
Johnson began speaking, "OK, love, this is what needs to happen. They're putting a log on the system and a police officer will come here to take details from you. There's no one in this station right now, but they've called someone to come over. Are you ok to wait?"
Claire did not think she had much choice, so nodded in the affirmative, which set the officer off speaking again.
"Just take a seat and someone will come and get you. OK?"
Claire nodded again and walked to the uninviting pew. She sat on the hard wooden surface and instinctively started looking at her phone. No messages. She opened the Facebook app and scrolled through a series of everyone else's fake-happy photos and inspirational quotes. Nothing seemed real. No one was really as happy as they looked on social media, and as for those inspirational quotes on a background of trees and sun: nobody talks like that. If any of Claire's friends actually started talking in the way their Facebook and Instagram posts read, she would probably call them a retard. She remembered life before Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and thought that things were better back then. Nobody tried so hard to impress everybody else. The selfies, captions and one-upmanship that was ubiquitous today simply did not exist ten years ago. Claire was sure that trying so hard to look happy actually made people more depressed. She wondered how many family feuds, divorces and legal battles had been caused by the virus of social media. 
In spite of these thoughts, Claire was an addict like everyone else. She had two Instagram accounts and a Facebook. One Instagram for her personal life, which was really an edited, filtered, photoshopped version of her life. The other for her artwork, with each post accompanied by about fifty hashtags trying to garner attention. It actually made her feel temporarily happy when she got lots of 'likes' and new followers. It was also a source of disappointment when an illustration she had worked really hard over did not get any comments. For what? Claire thought. I will never meet most of those people and I'm not selling anything. I'm literally wasting my time. Everybody is literally wasting their time tapping a glass screen instead of looking at the people that really matter. How well did she know ninety-nine percent of the people she was 'friends' with on the internet and why did she bother to look at their version of a life they didn't really have? Jim was obsessed with reading the latest news on Twitter, which was almost always about poverty, violence, corruption and despair. It made him angry, which made her angry, because she wondered why he cared so much. Why care about people ten thousand miles away when you can't do anything about it? In fact, she could not really understand why anyone cared about things we have no influence over. People are strange.

Hello.  author~sama here.  Been absent for a while cause school and hospital got me hooked. But I will update!!!  Yes!!
