In a small town called Salem, in which diversity is pretty much a normal thing. Where gossips and rumors spread faster than a virus, and where gang fights are pretty much a daily affair to them.

So all in all, this is just your typical town.

Daniel Mendez has been living here for the past 13 years. Living in a small town where most people knew you, can be quite annoying and taxing. When all really he ever wanted was food, coffee, and his much-needed sleep. But with the constant buzzing of voices that he can always hear what others don't and the gang fights he always gets involved into, as well as the bullies. Combine with his doting father, and his eccentric best friend's antics. Peace is almost an impossible task.	

But still, it was a good life. Well, as good as he can get.

So when unknown being showed up on his doorsteps uninvited, he knew that he fucked up.

"You. Are. Mine." Clark growled darkly as he stared down at me coldly. My heart skips a beat as I looked at him with eyes wide open, like a deer caught in the headlights.

"Before you were even born, you were already mine, Mendez."

I can feel my knees going weak from fear as I tried to edge away from him when suddenly he throws his arms, caging me between his huge form. His huge figure looming before me. I nervously gulped, trying so hard to ease my beating heart. I can feel my pulse accelerating at a very abnormal rate, making me feel light-headed. My heart almost jumped out of my mouth when his face suddenly inched towards mine, his eyes were crinkled in cold amusement, his lips stretched in a smirk.

"And I don't like sharing what's mine to others."

What happens when we die? No one knows really. Here is my take on it, in a different way.
Wandering a barren landscape are souls, moving slowly towards a distant beacon. Reaching constantly moving black sand dunes, ready to swallow any weak souls who can't make it across, to a massive city beyond with a large ebony castle in the center towering with a light at the top. Everyone there is fighting to survive, to become the one that leads, the one that rules over the lands. This is about a particular soul, and their struggle to get to a new life, maybe even a ruler.

Not a male present wasn't envious.
Their king's beastman life was too perfect.
He was strong, his mate loved him and even gave birth to a female child for him.
He was really a winner of life!
Parker also sensed the atmosphere in the iron-smelting room and instantly felt jealous. He took Bai Qingqing's hand and said, "Let's go!"
Bai Qingqing stumbled a little from his tug and replied with an "Oh." She then followed him while waving to Winston.
"Goodbye, Winston!" Bai Qingqing turned and gave Winston a bright smile.
The background was just white snow, pure and romantic. It formed an intoxicating portrait together with the female waving her hand and smiling.
Even the male standing next to her didn't look as detestable anymore.
Of course, when Winston was looking, he'd only automatically switch that male to himself.
Winston couldn't help but imitate Bai Qingqing's action and raised his hand. However, Bai Qingqing had turned and ran off, holding Parker's hand, leaving behind only laughter.
He put down his hand unnaturally, walking toward the stone castle in huge strides amidst all the envious gazes.
"The snow here is really thick!" Bai Qingqing's legs sank into the snow and amazingly sat onto it while still standing.
Thankfully, her animal skin clothing was good at keeping her warm. In addition to the fact that she had been moving, she felt a little hot.
Parker said, "I said that I'll carry you, but you didn't want that."
"I'm just out to play. What's the point of having you carrying me?" 
This was the third cold season she was spending here, and she was considered to have some experience. When she saw that a piece of bark had fallen off a tree not far away, she said loudly, "Parker, go help me bring that bark over here. I'll tie it onto my legs to walk."
Parker was about to go over when a few leopard cries rang out.
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
Winston had gone home, so they came searching for them based on their scents.
They ran very quickly. Before they sank into the snow, their bodies would move forward, just like stone skipping.
Bai Qingqing let out a "Wow." "It's no wonder that you guys don't have much traces on you despite going out every day."
"Children! Bring that piece of bark over here!"
"Howl!"
All of them fought to reply, then ran even faster. Their legs moved so quickly that they were like wheels, and only afterimages could be seen.
The one running at the very front was Third, whose body was lightest. He seemed as if he was going to fly up each time before his legs had landed on the snow.
When Third got near to the bark, his body sank, and he jumped up to bite onto it.
Bai Qingqing couldn't help but cheer inside. Beautiful!
But after the joy, came the sorry. Third wasn't able to break off the bark with one attempt. Instead, he ended up hanging onto the tree.
He dangled in the air, looking like a figurine keychain on a bag.
Bai Qingqing was speechless.
"Wuu wuu wuu—" Third bit onto the bark and cried out anxiously.
"Howl!"
Eldest and Second, who were almost tied, cried out in mockery. Both of them jumped in unison and bit onto the two sides next to Third respectively.
Under the three leopard cubs' collective effort, the bark finally gave way and was bitten off.
With a "pfft!" sound, the three leopard cubs disappeared into the ground. There was only a piece of bark piercing into the snow.
On a more careful look, one would be able to see the lower chins at the bottom of the bark—they were still biting onto it and not letting go.
"Hahahaha…" Bai Qingqing burst out laughing so hard that she had to hold onto her stomach.
Low bellows rang out from the direction of the tree bark. It was moving to the left and right.
The leopard cubs were fighting over it in the snow.
Parker lifted Bai Qingqing from the snow, carrying her with one arm while saying sharply, "Quickly bring the bark over!"
"Howl—"
They became spirited and quickly crawled out, bringing the bark to their mommy together.


After finding herself in a beastmen world, a leopard rescues her and later abducts her. Bai Qingqing suffers quite a mental breakdown because the males in this world are as gorgeous and handsome as strutting peacocks. On the other hand, the females are ridiculously ugly, but still highly cherished by the males. 
As a beautiful high-school student, she has somehow become the most mesmerizing beauty in this world.
Worst of all, this world is a matriarchal society. She doesn’t want three four husbands waiting on her! Her life becomes about teasing a leopard, tickling a tiger, seducing a poisonous snake, and capturing an eagle. Bai Qingqing, with a full harem, is too deep for tears. She really didn't want any of this.
"Hey, hey, Brother Leopard, Brother Tiger, Brother Snake, Brother Eagle, what are you doing? Stay back!" 
There are four male leads: The young and strong leopard, the emo and silent snake, the powerful tiger, and the aloof and loner eagle.

Calhoun looked at the hedge maze that came into view. The maze was built across a vast land that would leave one forever in there unless a person knew the tricks of how a hedge maze worked. The mazes that didn't belong to this castle had been grown and made so that it had entries and exit but not here. Calhoun had made sure to seal the other side that left only one place to enter and exit.
He had seen the way Madeline's eyes had dilated in worry when he had mentioned how his wolf, Maddox had taken in her scent. He had warned her after hearing her little heart beating in her chest. When he had asked her to step into the maze with a deal, he never had the intention to let her go. It was funny how she thought that he would agree to give her a carriage to ride back home when just a few several minutes before reaching the maze he had said that he wouldn't. 
The girl wasn't bright when it came to picking up on his words, but that was alright. 
When he reached the entrance of the maze, Calhoun who had a pleasant expression on his face stopped going in further. 
"What's the matter?" asked Theodore noticing how Calhoun didn't walk further. When Calhoun turned around, he looked angry, and his eyes had turned dark. His mood turned foul, and his jaw ticked. 
"She's not here," Calhoun couldn't hear her heartbeat, and he had been listening to it for a few minutes before leaving her to explore the maze, "Have the guards check the castle and the grounds," he ordered. Theodore didn't waste any time, and he quickly left the King's side. 
Calhoun couldn't sense her in the maze, and he doubted anything had happened to her as the guards had been strictly instructed on who she was and not to harm her. He started to walk, trying to catch her trail of scent which was gone. This only meant she had left the maze some time ago. 
Out of the castle, Madeline felt a sense of relief sink into her chest and mind. It felt as if a big problem had been solved. Now all she would have to do was get down in her village, speak to her parents and then think of moving to her aunt's house. But before even the village or the next town arrived, Lady Rosamund tapped the window of the coachman to say,
"Stop the carriage here."
Madeline took a peek outside the window to notice trees that stood outside the carriage. 
"Get out," said Lady Rosamund to her. 
Madeline slightly frowned looking at the woman. Her lips pursed, innocence in her eyes, "But this is not the town or a village," if she remembered correctly, there was still a journey of twenty more minutes by the carriage. 
"Did you think the person who was the reason I was insulted would be given a ride in the carriage?" asked Lady Rosamund, the woman looked at Madeline as if she was stupid, but humans were stupid and thought they could surpass the night creatures. 
Madeline should have known the lady would pull something like this, but she was desperate which was why she had asked and gotten inside the carriage, "Lady Rosamund, I apologize for what happened, but I had no intention to insult you." She had happily stood up from her seat in the dining room. She was going to leave if it weren't for Calhoun who had made her sit down again, "I have no wishes to insult you or your family. Please allow me to take a ride to the nearest habitation. I wouldn't ask for anything more. Please," she bowed her head, hoping the woman would be swayed. 
"Mother is right," said Sophie, "Didn't you say something about us having a foul mouth? Step out of the carriage unless you want to be pulled or thrown out forcibly," said Sophie, crossing her hands and legs while looking at the human who looked pitiful. It brought joy to Sophie that the girl looked powerless. 
"Humphrey," Lady Rosamund called the coachman's name so that he could throw this girl out. 
"I will get down," Madeline responded. 
"Quick. We have other things to do than spend time with someone like you," Lady Rosamund said, and Madeline saw herself out of the carriage. The door of the carriage was shut close, and the woman said, "Next time learn how to behave with people who are above you than showing you know everything. Hopefully, we don't cross path again, which is unlikely knowing our status. Drive," the horses neighed before pulling the carriage to leave Madeline in the middle of nowhere, trees surrounding her which was part of the forest. 
She had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but then Madeline told herself that she had got a headstart compared to her actual plan. Not only had she missed the wolves to be roaming on the grounds of the castle freely and she didn't have to worry about the guards at eh gates. Trying to see the positive side and being thankful to be getting a ride this far and out of the castle, Madeline started to walk, taking the path of the left. 
All she needed was another carriage passing by her to ask for help, but she doubted she would be getting one right now. She raised her chin, her brown eyes looking at the sky that had turned dark. The evening had passed quicker than she would have thought it would, and it was the time of night. 
The sounds of the forest surrounded her, crickets chirping and owls that she couldn't see hooting somewhere hidden in the trees.
When she heard a wolf howl, Madeline felt her heart jump out of her chest, turning around she made sure there was no wolf following her, and when she heard another howl, her feet moved even quicker than before.

"Your bed is cold," spoke a voice in the room that had her eyes go wide in fear. Nervously, she turned around, gulping softly to see a shadow on her bed as if someone laid down there. The man who had been lying down sat up emerging out from the shadows where he had been waiting for her.

"What are you doing here?" she asked when his feet touched the ground and he pushed himself up to start walking towards her. His handsome features looked darker than usual because of the lack of light in the room.

"I came to meet you," he tilted his head, "Where did you go?"

"I went out for a walk," came the quick reply that had him smile, a smile that scared her the most.

She took a step back when he came close to her. It didn't stop him from cornering her, and her back hit the wall behind her. He raised his hand towards her face, and she closed her eyes, scared. She shuddered when his fingers trail down from her temple and her jaw and neck. Her blonde hair was left open.

"In the middle of the night?" she didn't answer him knowing he could decipher her lies through her words. He stepped closer that had her turn her face away from him and his words vibrated on the skin of her neck,

"Did you go to meet him, my sweet girl?"
