The news of Lockhart's cowardly escape spread through the castle like wildfire, girls who were previously besotted with the blonde defence professor were now shooting betrayed expressions at him.
Harry's plan would work flawlessly with the population of Hogwarts already willing to believe that Lockhart was now the bane of all existence.

*** Hogwarts Library, later

Harry was in the traditions section of the library, searching where one would find histories on the oldest pureblood families.
Harry opened one of the biggest tomes in the section titled, "Ye Olde Families" and searched under the letter P, surprised at the number of families under the list that had died out.

Harry flicked through the pages excitedly, finally coming to the substantial section on the Potters.
"The Potters are one of the oldest Pureblood families, tracing their bloodline in England all the way back to the Pre-Merlin eras. In recent times, the family has come under more liberal leadership, starting with 17thcentury rebel Pureblood Thomas Potter who used the significant weight of the family to pass the first of many muggle-rights laws and amendments passed by the Potter family in the most recent centuries. The Potter was, at one point, the richest family in magical Britain but in recent years their fortune has dwindled, losing millions of galleons in the wars against Dark Lord Grindelwald and Dark Lord Voldemort, under the leadership of Charles and later James Potter. However, the family still retains a large amount of their wealth, including their mansion, hailed to be the grandest building in Europe in the 18th Century, the peak of the Potters."
He had a mansion?
Harry's mind went reeling.
He knew the Potters were a pureblood family, but he expected that he would know if he owned a mansion.
British laws did not allow use of the family vault until one became of age, but the mansion was traditionally handed to the oldest family member as soon as the previous family member died, so Harry would technically have owned the place, and it's house-elves since he was one year old.
He would have to write a letter to Gringotts, Dumbledore as his magical guardian should technically have told him about the mansion when he joined the wizarding world at 11 years of age, but McGonagall mentioned that Dumbledore didn't want him to know all about his family yet.
Harry assumed that this was because Dumbledore didn't want him getting drunk on his power and buying into the pureblood nonsense, and while Harry still believed that Dumbledore has stuck his nose where it didn't belong once again, he grudgingly agreed that Dumbledore's reasons were probably for his good.

*** Next day, Gringotts

Dear Teller Griphook,
May your enemies blood taste the ground,
It has come to my attention that the Potter family has a mansion and that by standard british law, I am now in possession of it. Since all Potter holdings are managed by Gringotts, I was wondering whether I could get the location and the list of wards on the Potter manor,

Griphook read the letter approvingly, not only was the Potter heir courteous, he was also intelligent.

Harry opened the letter addressed to him, hoping for an answer.

Within a moment, Harry knew what his next plan was.

Lockhart was putting more bravado into his latest class than he had before, trying to make up for his lost reputation, he didn't seem to blame it on Harry, which was perfect for Harry's plan.
"Sir, a lot of students want to learn how to duel… do you think you could handle a duelling club, maybe that will let people know that you truly know your stuff." Harry suggested innocently.
Lockhart seemed to brighten at an idea to regain his reputation.
"Great idea, Harry! I think that a duelling club would be a great idea."
"And sir, maybe after the first class, we could hold a duelling competition, separated by grade level of course, and the winner would challenge you."
Lockhart looked like he couldn't keep up with Harry's train of thought so Harry elaborated.
"Like the first through third years duel and the fourth-fifth years duel and the sixth and seventh years duel, then the three winners can challenge you to see how they stack up against real talent, of course, that would be you, sir." Harry said, making sure that there was no way for Lockhart to back out of the competition without seeming weak.
"Of-Course." Lockhart stuttered out, "We can hold the first meeting tomorrow!" he said, smiling weakly.

*** Next evening, Hogwarts

The Possessed student walked down the hall to the first floor girls bathroom.
Down the chute went the student.
The basilisk was waiting as instructed.
The serpentine voice of Voldemort spoke in parseltongue.

Ana, manager of Frances restaurant, discovered that, for several days, Liam had changed. I had been distracted these past few days. When he entertained the guests, he no longer joked as he did with the women who visited the restaurant, Liam even sometimes fell asleep at the time it was his turn to rest.

"Liam, did something happen recently, do you seem somewhat distracted?" During a break once, Ana finally could not resist and asked.

"It is so obvious?" Liam asked, somewhat surprised.

Ana laughed: "It's written all over your face."

"It could be because I found a goal, you know, once they have something they want to do, they will be more motivated."

"Oh, what goal? Do you mind telling me?

"Of course not," Liam replied: "I've decided to become a novelist, I've been writing my first novel recently, it will be over in 1 day."

"Become a ... a novelist?" Ana was somewhat surprised, unconsciously opened her mouth, wanting to remind him not to point too high at first, but then remembered that this child was always very serious when working.

Liam just smiled at Ana's eyes. After all, this was Hollywood, every year thousands of people came from all over the world to pursue their dreams in the film industry, novels, singers, it was very difficult to make a name in the industry.

"That ... When you have finished writing your novel, you can show me You should know that I am a big fan of reading and I have read many books, so I could give you some comments about your novel", said Ana

It must be known that the United States had tens of thousands of publishers large and small alike, someone who would eventually please their novel. Although "Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone" although the literary series of "Harry Potter" was known worldwide as one of the best-selling works, the first book had a slow start, and that was not technically Liam's goal, what he wanted was that at least the book gains a small fame quickly to be able to own the rights of author of the film and the televising rights once the novel was published.

"Hi, what can I do for you?" Just as he entered the printing press, a very pretty African-American employee who was a bit thin gave him a warm welcome.

Liam pulled the manuscript out of his bag: "I'd like to make some copies of this."

When the girl looked at the thick pile of papers, her eyes lit up slightly and the smile on her face became brighter: "Sir, can I take a look?"

"No problem". Liam handed him the manuscript.

The girl did not pay attention to the content, but counted the number of pages: "There are 248 pages, but I will count them as 240. A complete copy of the manuscript would be 33 US dollars, how many copies do you like, sir?

33 American dollars! Liam's mouth twitched slightly, he sighed at how expensive that was. He had only brought $ 100, he thought they were enough, but apparently he had set himself up.

After negotiating again and again, they finally set the price of one hundred US dollars for four copies. Once the money was paid, the girl politely told Liam to take a seat, then took the manuscript and began copying.

Liam sat waiting for the girl to do her job. He would probably do it for about 15 minutes and would not oppose his work on hold. Although it only filled up after 10 in the restaurant and even if he knew that Ana would not get mad at him, he wanted to have a professional profile when it came to work, so he could not relax when it came to doing his job.

About ten minutes later, the girl finished doing the work and gave the copies of the novel to Liam. Liam realized that everything had proceeded to pay him, when he finished, went to the exit door of the printing press and began to run to the restaurant because soon would be the time, when the restaurant was full of customers.

Giving things for free is just broken, don't you think? I certainly do! That was the largest flaw I found with the original system you were given. The second problem was keeping your memories in tact, which goes against the normal requirements for reincarnation, though.
I'll tell you what, though. If you entertain me in this life, I'll see you when you pass and I'll think about granting you an exception and returning your memories to you. Don't come too soon, though, as that would be boring.

The soul was very excited to see that, understanding that SSS was a very good result and thinking that he'd get something amazing
Not wanting to waste what time he had left, he got into the shop and bought a set of occlumency books, Basic and advanced, for 10000 Karma, saving 2500 Karma since he bought them at the same time. There was sadly no mythical Occlumency book like there was for wandcrafting, at least not yet.
"Open Basic Occlumency." he thought.

His name is Draco Malfoy, at least it is now.  He started out as a soul before the System he possessed rebooted, apparently after suffering a critical error.  Apparently, features he had from the system were incompatible with where he was to be reincarnated, but our MC couldn't remember why.

After receiving a mysterious message through his system from a god or something, someone calling him Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the soul who would become Draco Malfoy, was left to experiment with his Mysterious System.

Fortunately, his Newbie Pack gave him all seven Harry Potter books to help him prepare to enter his new world, and with that he was able to begin preparing for the eventual conflicts to come.

While his memories of his previous life, or perhaps lives, appear to be missing, he sometimes finds himself just understanding things mysteriously, and he's uncertain why.

He decides that after seeing all the Karma he had previously accumulated, that he must have been a good guy in his previous life or lives, so he decides to live his new life his own way and to hell with the script/story he read.

He'll rise to the top of the world, exploit every advantage his system gives him, and surpass both Moldybutt and Dumbledore!

Dressed in an elegant grey 3-piece-suit with a white shirt and emerald tie; Harry Potter sat with his right leg resting upon his other leg, with a large newspaper perfectly resting upon it providing the right amount of elevation to see every word on the pages effectively. Hovering above his mouth, was a teacup which on command, tipped its contents at the exact amount that was requested. The aroma of the tea filled the empty cubicle, the flavours of which blended perfectly to suit Harry's tastebuds.
{ This society reeks of corruption. But alas, witches and wizards are still; no matter how capable still human. And is it not in the nature of humans to place self before others? Even I would be a hypocrite to say otherwise. Upon accepting our flaws, only then can we begin to work upon improvement. Corruption like this has occurred from any big players or moves, but rather many small insignificant moments that has pulled an entire society down into the current depths of the mire. To realise that, Dumbledore has been orchestrator using Voldemort as a catalyst; shows just how dangerous the man is. In fact, the part I'm least concerned about is his magical prowess. Because whilst vast, it pales in comparison to his methodology.}
Harry was disturbed from his read and internal ponderings, by the sudden opening of the door. No sign of his discomfort was shown, nor did he make a move to see who it is. He had his magic for that, a term for his power which was strange to label as so.

And the 6th son of the Weasley house stormed away with a loud slam of the door behind. Harry hadn't moved, spoke or taken much notice of the little interruption. He was more focused upon sipping his tea and breaking down all of the information, gained from the unprotected mind of Ronald Weasley. An act, which Harry has come to accept upon himself. Especially, when what he discovered, provided some key information about the lengths Dumbledore was prepared to go, to control his life. It also added weight to a hypothesis which has yet to be proven wrong.
{ It is becoming clearer, that the fragment of Voldemort was not only known by Dumbledore; but that he has built an entire script in which to use me as a martyr, a sacrificial lamb to destroy Voldemort. And in so doing, be seen as the undisputed Leader of Light. A position which has already given him huge amounts of blindspots in which to control. Just like what I did, upon unlocking the blood wards, although the cage is more accurate. If this is indeed true, then unless he sees himself that the fragment is gone, he will not stop. Worse still, is the question of 'What would he do to me, if and when he finds out?' }
For the second time, the door was slammed open revealing three boys. A moment of thought saw the cup vanish before he folded up the newspaper, laying it on his lap. Harry then gave his undivided attention upon three people, yet remained silent.

Harry observed as the three boys left the compartment and slammed the door in a very similar fashion as the Weasley boy.
{ So this is the dark faction...very cliche whilst also pathetic. These three and the Weasley boy are prime examples of how messed up, this society is. Draco's father clearly is apart of Voldemort's faction, the mother I can't be too sure. She definitely has some wit, but rarely applies it. A true shame really. }
As if to reveal the magical number of three; Harry's door. This time it was a bossy, single-minded terror with the very opposite of people timidly following behind her.
[ Have you found a toad!? Neville here has lost his. We're going up and down the train to find him. Why aren't you in your robes? ]
Silence...... Harry looks around the compartment, looks back and waits
[ Grrrr! You could have at least told us no, rather than waste our time. Come on Neville, lets keep searching ]

{ Hmmm, very interesting. The girl has had a very unhealthy upbringing, her parents have spoilt her rotten and never given her any discipline All through her school years, not once did she think that she was in the wrong, or she had to do anything differently. If this is left unchecked, then she will burn out and possibly commit suicide. Although in the magical world, there are many creatures that could aid in such endeavours.
The boy is definitely trapped within Dumbledore's web. I could see a very different yet similarly manipulative cage, which prevented a large percentage of the boy's energy from being released. Not only that, but his childhood has been barely better than my own and he didn't have the wisdom that I possess. Sucks to be Dumbledore, that I stole the internal cage. I might be able to use it as an internal weight, in which to stretch and grow internal muscles. Neville will have to resolve the rest himself. I may provide assistance, but not if he doesn't ask.}
With a single thought, a soft and silky robe materialised from his pocket and covered his entire body until setting into fit-forming robes.
{ The convenience that magically provides, is joy into itself. I will always remember to appreciate the simple wonders that it provides. } 
Harry concentrated again, before withdrawing a huge amount of intricate orbs that had been tasked to scour and probe every person on board. For the remaining part of the journey; Harry would be in deep analysis. Harry, after all, was walking into a warzone.

A soul is reborn into Harry Potter, with no memories of the past, gifts of the Gods but possesses the spiritual energy of a soul, who has lived rich and fulfilling life. Discover what difference, a lot of spiritual energy will do, for this new and improved Harry Potter.

Chapter 44: A visit with the Dursleys

"I 'ope you are ready for me.." She said as she moved onto the bed and crawled up to headboard, kissing Harry deeply she snapped her fingers and the nights went out.

Things were quiet at Grimmauld Place for the next few days. Harry and his wives were glad of it. Bellatrix had been allowed to come home and Harry had been doing an admirable job of caring for her. "I feel like I'm already nine months along.." Bellatrix grumbled as she sat up in the bed beside Harry.

"Well you're not, you're only a week along." He said smiling, putting his arm around her, "I missed you, you know..this bed is far too empty when you aren't at home."

"I'm surprised the others didn't offer to take my place while I was away." She said softly, "I mean Cissy is the Primary Wife, by tradition, she should be the one in bed with you each night.."

"Maybe so, but this is our bed." Harry said, "Now let's get some rest.."

The lights went off, but for Bellatrix sleep didn't come easily.

The next morning Narcissa sat at the table sipping her tea and looked over some paperwork. Well, our marital status is public record now. The Daily Prophet will have to stop playing guessing games with just whom Harry is married to..for good or ill I suppose the secret is out.

Sure enough, the front of the newspaper had a composite photograph of all of them, including Bellatrix. For her portion, they had used her picture from her wanted poster. Narcissa noted, her eyes narrowing.

A Death Eater, A Dowager, An Auror, and A Veela?

Hearts were broken all across the wizarding world when it was revealed that our very own boy-who-lived, Harry Potter was married. Those broken hearts have been irrevocably shattered with the discovery of just who Harry Potter claims as the loves of his life.

The youngest, and most recent bride, Fleur Potter-Black nee Delacour, is employed by Gringotts as a curse-breaker. During this employment she met Bill Weasley, eldest of Arthur and Molly. She claimed that her former lover was using love potions on her and drawing on her time as a fellow Tri-Wizard champion, she employed Harry as an agent of revenge, or is it justice? Handsome and available Scion Draco Malfoy had this to say:

"She's pretty enough for a creature, bit like a Nymph I guess. Weak willed fools try to treat them the same as a witch."

Next in age is the junior Auror Nymphadora Potter-Black nee Tonks. Daughter of the disgraced Andromeda Black, we reported on her as one of the likely prospects due to her youth and ability to change aspects of her body. No doubt those abilities will come into use when she needs to hide the ravages of time from her youthful husband.

Narcissa Potter-Black nee Black, the widow of Lucius Malfoy is the Primary Wife of House Potter-Black. Like Fleur Potter-Black, she ensnared her husband by claiming abuse at the hands of Lucius Malfoy. That marriage was annulled and Lucius challenged Harry to a duel to the death. The recorder of the duel, one Pius Thicknesse was recorded as saying:

"The match was fairly quick. The boy was outclassed by Lucius who was a master duelist. There was an unfortunate slip and Potter was considered the victor by a technicality."

Finally we come to the most infamous of the wives of Harry Potter, Bellatrix Potter-Black nee Lestrange. Those with memories of the attacks by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, will remember her as the monster who destroyed the minds of Frank and Alice Longbottom. Sadly, their son Neville was unreachable for comment and his grandmother and Regent Augusta Longbottom's response was not suitable for printing.

Is it a love potion, a confundus charm, or perhaps even blackmail that lured Harry Potter into the clutches of these three witches and a Veela? For detailed analysis of possible reasons turn to pages 3,4,5,12, and 14.

Damn, we need to get ahead of this thing. That interview with Skeeter has to be moved up. I'll send her an owl, if we do this right, Harry will come out looking like a goodhearted young man with devoted wives... Narcissa thought about possible interview questions she would allow as she sipped her morning tea. The other letter was a notice from Gringotts about Draco, It seems the boy I thought was my son is going to try and make a claim on House Malfoy...fool boy, Harry took the House in fair combat..

Thinking about Draco made Narcissa wince slightly, while she knew intellectually that it wasn't his fault that his father had switched Draco with her daughter at birth, it still hurt each time she thought of what could've been.

"Mummy! My Hogwarts letter came!" Cassiopeia was a bright girl with big blue eyes that seemed to drink in the whole world. Narcissa smiled as she knelt down and embraced the eleven year old, "Congratulations my love, when your father gets home we'll go straight to Diagon Alley and get you everything you'll need. Would you like a cat or an owl?"

The little girl thought and then smiled up at her mother, "I'd like an owl like Daddy, a beautiful white owl." Cassie, as they called her, was not the daughter of Lucius Malfoy, but rather the daughter of Narcissa and Harry Potter. In this dreamworld there had never been a Lucius Malfoy, she and Harry had met in school. He'd still been a Gryffindor, she had still been a Slytherin, but when he held her House rivalries didn't matter.

The front door opened and Harry walked in, still wearing his Aurors robes, "I told Proudfoot that I would be taking the afternoon off. I know what day it is, it's the day our Cassie gets her letter!" Cassie broke from her mothers arms and jumped into her fathers. "Daddy! I want to get an owl like Hedwig!"

Narcissa broke from her day dream as Harry walked downstairs with Bellatrix. "Morning Cissy." He said kissing her softly.

"Good morning Harry, Bella...I've gotten our post organized. The Prophet knows who you are married to now. Rita Skeeter did her usual hit piece on us.." She said handing him the newspaper. Harry took it and quickly scanned over the article then cursed.

"I thought she was going to help us! "

"She is Harry, we have a meeting with her in a week, but with your permission I'd like to move it up to tomorrow. If you give her an exclusive, she'll be in your debt." Narcissa said pushing the Gringotts letter to him.

"Okay, talk to her..now what's this from the bank?"

"Draco is attempting to make a claim on House Malfoy. He's claiming that you didn't actually kill Lucius, as it was a disarming spell that sent him into the pillar, rather than a hex designed to kill." Narcissa worried her lower lip with her teeth, "If he challenges you to a duel, I'm not going to handicap you by begging you to not kill him."

Harry took her hand, "I don't want to kill anyone except Riddle if I can help it. Draco is a ponce, but that's because he's just another Lucius." Narcissa smiled at that, "What if we offered him Malfoy Manor, I mean we would take anything dangerous out first, but if we gave him the house, do you think he'd leave you be?" Harry asked her.

"I don't know...we will need to set up an appointment to meet with him at Gringotts if you wish to try and speak with an arbiter." She said after a moment of thought, "I have no love for that house, so if that will serve the purpose I am in favor of it."

Tonks made her way downstairs. She paused and kissed Harry, "G'morning Hubs.." She said stifling a yawn.

"Good morning Dora.." He said pulling her into an embrace.

"Quick question for you, how annoyed would you be if the Dursleys were murdered by Tom?" She asked him. Harry thought for a moment, "Somewhere between 'not annoyed at all' and 'ecstatic'..but I would still probably try to warn them, why?"

"You're an adult now, the wards put on Privet drive will probably be falling soon, if they haven't fell already."

Harry frowned, "So, we have to go save them from being mulched by Death Eaters?"

Tonks smirked, "Either we warn them or we let them fry."

Bellatrix had a dark look in her eyes, "Let them die. I've seen what they did to Harry."

"She is talking about your scars, isn't she 'arry?" Fleur came into the kitchen, moving to the side opposite Tonks to kiss her husband.

"I am. They hurt our husband. I think we need to pay them back, with interest." Bellatrix said that last part almost as a snarl.

Harry touched her hand gently, "Bella, they aren't worth you going to Azkaban. But, if we're going to warn them, I don't see why we don't all go together as a family and have a friendly chat."

Harry turned and went upstairs to get changed. His wives shared a dark look, the Dursleys will pay for hurting Harry seemed to be in the eyes of the four women.

Scene Break

It was a drizzly summer morning on Privet Drive. At Number Four, Vernon Dursley was reading his newspaper. Damned liberals are ruining things. This health scheme is entirely too welcoming to the immigrants... The fat man scowled when he heard a knock on the front door.

Almost as if summoned by magic Petunia Dursley was at the door. When she opened it there stood a very beautiful blonde woman about her age wearing a black dress and carrying an attache case. "Petunia Dursley?" The stranger said, to which Petunia nodded.

"Yes, may I ask who you are?"

"My name is Narcissa. I represent the interests of Harry Potter." She said, "May I come in?"

"We don't deal with freaks." Petunia hissed, she went to close the door but before she could, Narcissa had her wand drawn.

"I wouldn't do that Mrs. Dursley, now if you'll move aside, we'd like to come in."

That was when Petunia noticed the three women standing behind her, all of the women were looking at them with open contempt. The eldest, a black haired woman stood with her arm interlocked with her nephews.

"What is this, Vernon!" She called for her husband as the group pushed into the house.

"Pet, did you call me- what is this, why are you here boy?"

"None of that fat man. We all know how you've treated Harry." Tonks said drawing her wand.

"We treated him like the freak he was."

"Absolutely right Vernon. A few more beatings might have taken that freakishness out of him."

"You call 'im a freak? 'e is the 'ero of the wizarding world!" Fleur said, feathers starting to sprout along her arms.

"Is that it? Is that the cupboard?" Bellatrix asked Harry, before walking to it and throwing it open. "You put a child in this?" She rounded to face the Dursleys. "You dared to put your sisters only child in a cupboard after he lost his parents!" She turned back to Harry, "They aren't worth this Harry. Let's leave them to Riddle."

"Who is Riddle, one of your freaks?" Vernon asked Harry, he was trying to keep control of the situation, but being surrounded by so many angry witches it was difficult. Cissy calmly sat at the table and opened her case. Inside she had a small stack of papers.

"We agreed Bellatrix that it would be Harry's choice. Personally I think we all agree with you. Let Tom Riddle come and kill the lot of them."

"Uncle Vernon, Tom Riddle is the man who killed my parents. Dumbledore put wards on this house to keep him from finding me, but those wards are going to vanish soon, if they haven't already." Harry said, watching the red on his uncles face drain away leaving him pale.

"Vernon, we've got to get out of here!" Petunia shrieked, dashing upstairs to pack.

"She's not wrong. You need to get out of here. When he comes it won't matter that I'm not here. It won't even matter that you hate me. He will kill you, he'll probably take out the entire block." Harry said, "Narcissa has something to offer you, if you accept it then we'll consider everything settled and we'll never have to see each other again."

It was a surprisingly subdued Vernon Dursley that sank into his chair at the kitchen table. Narcissa showed him the papers she had set out. "Your nephew, due to his status as Lord of Houses Potter and Black is a very wealthy wizard. He is willing to offer you a house hidden away from the eyes of the world."

Vernon looked down, there as a picture of a nondescript two story home, "This is a property owned by House Black. It is near the town of Guilford. It is close by and warded against strangers coming to your door." Narcissa explained then flipped the pages.

"It is unplottable, which means it doesn't show up on maps. Harry recommends that you rent a box at your post office for all correspondences."

"If you accept the house, Harry is prepared to key you into the wards so that your family members are able to go there." Narcissa finished and let Vernon look at the picture.

"What do you get out of this boy?" Vernon finally asked warily.

"Nothing. You get to live and the universe continues to let you go unpunished for how you treated me." Harry said, "If it was just you, I would probably have sent you a letter, you would have ignored it and he would have killed you."

"Harry has told us about your treatment of him. We would prefer it if Riddle killed you. However, he still feels that your wife and son would be burdened by your death." Bellatrix said as she moved to his side.

"Will you take the house?" Harry asked, after a time Vernon nodded.

"Alright, in that case the house is yours. Narcissa has the key and the paperwork for you. When you clean this house out, make sure you get everything. Nearly anything can be used to make a tracking charm." Harry rose and went to the stairs, Dudley had woken up hearing his mother frantically packing and had came downstairs. He looked different to Harry, as if he hadn't been sleeping well.

"Harry, is he the one who sent those dementi-things after you?"

"No, he's the one who killed my mom and dad."

"When they attacked us...I saw everything I've ever done flash before my eyes. How I treated you, how I treated everyone..I'm sorry."

Dudley apologized to me, I cannot say I saw this coming. Harry looked down, Dudley was holding out his hand. Harry reached out and shook it.

"Thank you...for saving my life again."

"Apparently saving people is what I do...it's how I met three out of the four women who came with me. The one I didn't is an Auror, that's the wizarding worlds police. She also saves people."

"Bragging on me eh Mr. Potter?" Tonks said smiling, coming from his bedroom with a small bag in her hand, "This is everything that had your magical signature on it."

"Alright, we've got everything we need then. Goodbye Dudley."

"Bye Harry, take care of yourself."

With that Harry and the other women vanished, never to come back to Number 4 Privet Drive ever again.

Her arrival in the hallway of Grimmauld Place caused much fuss; partially because everyone wanted to hear about the match and in part due to the tip of her surfboard dislodging the curtain covering the portrait of Mrs Black. Her shrieks followed them up the stairs as they dragged her things up to her room. She dumped them on her sofa and then hurried back downstairs to say hello to everyone properly. Sirius hugged her tightly, glad to have her back, before Mrs Weasley pulled her into a gripping hug and persisted in telling her how glad she was that she was safe. Once she had extricated herself from her stranglehold she emptied a small bag of match souvenirs for them, including scarves, miniature models of the players, rosettes, posters and hats topped with tiny bouncing kangaroos.

"Brilliant!" Ron cried as he seized one of the models. "Did you meet any of them?"

"Yeah," she nodded her head enthusiastically, "I met all the Australian team when I went to the match in Dubai last year, except their seeker, they've added her to the squad for the actual contest."

"I told you Australia would win." Harry said, inspecting one of the rosettes.

"The opposition wasn't really that great though, they were all over the place." Kathryn agreed.

"We heard," piped up Tonks, "sounded like they hadn't a clue what they were doing."

"So, will we be seeing any of the Australian tactics in your own Quidditch final?" Lupin asked from his seat next to Tonks who was now gazing at him with an expression of adoration.

"I'd be stupid not to." Kathryn nodded enthusiastically. "They are an amazing team; I just hope mine will be acquiescent to a stricter training schedule."

"Oh we will!" Ginny sounded raring to go already. "If it means we can thrash the hell out of Slytherin I will train night and day."

"I'm not sure we will need to do twenty four hour sessions," Kathryn laughed, "but your enthusiasm is appreciated and duly noted."

"You're going to have to be really good then." George remarked.

"Got the family and friends to impress haven't you?" Fred continued his brother's sentence.

"What?" Kathryn was slightly bemused.

"You didn't think we'd miss your final match at Hogwarts, did you?" Sirius asked, raising a quizzical eyebrow.

"Well, no, but," her heart was racing; "I just didn't know that I'd have to put on my best show!" she laughed. "It'll be great to have you there; I love kicking the crap out of Malfoy when his Dad's watching but with you there it'll be even better." She might have laughed on the outside, but inside, her stomach had gone all tight and her heart was fluttering madly. Would this mean that her absence would be missed more easily and that she would not get to see him at all? She stayed and chatted about the match for a while longer, giving them a blow by blow account, before heading upstairs with Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny in tow.

"I'll say it now," Harry said in an annoyed tone as soon as the door was closed, "is there anywhere that scumbag isn't?" he flopped down onto the sofa and pulled Ginny down next to him. Ron adopted a similar position with Hermione sitting on the arm of his comfy chair, her hand playing with his hair. Kathryn settled herself cross legged on the fur rug and waited for the tirade of insults that were about to issue from Harry's mouth.

"I know, Harry, before you start."

"It doesn't matter if you know," he said sardonically, "it's the fact that Fudge hasn't realised yet." He tossed her the morning copy of the Daily Prophet. Sure enough, the photo of she and Lucius graced the front page.

"Well I can't exactly hex him in public, can I?" she said distractedly as she looked at the picture again and skimmed her eyes over the article. "That wouldn't do much good for my current standing in the good-books of Cornelius Fudge."

"She's right Harry," Hermione backed her up, "she can accomplish much more by staying on amicable terms with Fudge and his little clique."

"After all, a spy is better on the inside than on the outside." Ginny added, gazing up at Harry.

"I know, it's just annoying, no, maddening that he dares come so close." He gripped the sofa hard, as if trying not to lash out at something.

"He's arrogant Harry, that's why he dares to come so close. He is supremely overconfident in his thinking that he has escaped retribution." It hurt her slightly to speak of him in this way but she knew that anything less would be highly suspicious. "When he wants to be, however, and when the situation calls for it; he can be very charming. How do you think he has so much control over Fudge?" they all looked at her in surprise. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I actually like him when he's charming." She added quickly. Well, I'm actually saying that I love him when he's like that, the thought to herself.

"Well he'll get his comeuppance so you shouldn't bother yourself mate." Ron said dismissive voice. "We have bigger problems than slimy Lucius Malfoy."

"There's actually a much more interesting article in there, a few pages in." Hermione motioned her hand towards the paper that Kathryn had before her. Turning the pages, Kathryn soon spotted the headline. The words 'POTTER FOR POLITICS?' stretched across what appeared to be a full page on her potential career choice.

"Well, let's see what they have to say." Picking up the paper, she scanned the text and began to read. "Is the well known Kathryn Potter, the child that brought down he-who-must-not-be-named along with her twin brother Harry Potter, destined for a career in politics, this reporter wonders?" Kathryn read out loud. "She has been seen over the course of the past two years at events usually reserved for those within the upper echelons of power." She read on, skipping a few paragraphs of twaddle. "Her most recent sighting was at the Quidditch World Cup final in Australia where she was seen mingling with both the Australian and Swedish Ministers' for Magic as well as our own Cornelius Fudge and the well connected Lucius Malfoy. Of course, this is not her first meeting with Minister Fudge, having been in contact with him for several years now; and she is apparently held in high regard by out highest ranking politician."

"It's quite a contrast from when we were a pair of liars, isn't it?" Harry remarked scathingly as she paused.

"Well, at least we were proved right in the end." She continued to read the article. "According to Percy Weasley, junior under-secretary to the Minister; 'Miss Potter is held in very high esteem by Minister Fudge, he considers her an important personal friend and treats her accordingly'. This reporter is curious as to whether Minister Fudge's actions are completely heartfelt or whether he is merely grooming Miss Potter for a life of great power once his time is up. Such a motive seems most evident in his carefully calculated invitations. The Quidditch qualifier in January of last year, his Christmas reception and now the Quidditch final only this Thursday; all events that the esteemed Lucius Malfoy also attended."

"That's quite the speculation." Kathryn scoffed. "I am invited to some events where he is also a guest and suddenly they think there I reason to suspect some grand scheme."

"I suppose that they have to think of something to write seeing as the Ministry makes them hush up so many stories." Hermione shrugged.

"According to various sources within the Ministry," Kathryn read on, "she has dined with the Minister several times and is one of the first names to be considered on any guest list for official Ministry events. Of course, due to her school commitments she has so far been absent from many functions. Once her education comes to a close, however, will she be present at the Ministry far more often?"

"They have an interesting take on Malfoy's persistent attention to you." Hermione commented, sliding off the arm of the chair and into Ron's lap.

"Oh really?" she raised an eyebrow and found the appropriate paragraph. "Mr Malfoy, the handsome, recently widowed head of one of Britain's oldest wizarding families, has long had a reputation for his well-connectedness and generosity to worthy causes. He has been a close ally of Minister Fudge for many years now and has apparently been enlisted in the gentle coercion of Miss Potter into a political career. He has been seen with her at the England Quidditch match in Dubai last year, the quarter final between England and Italy this year where she joined the Minister and his party about halfway through, and the Final this week; apparently being put to the task of making sure that she is not forgotten once the political heavyweights arrive."

"I should hope not!" Hermione laughed. Smirking, Kathryn continued to read.

"Unconfirmed reports have also reached this reporter of his actions at the Minister's Christmas reception. I shall stress that it is uncertain if this occurred but, if it did, it would have serious implications for Minister Fudge's designs on her future life. It is rumoured that when, at the reception, she was sitting alone, Lucius Malfoy accosted her and personally made sure that she was introduced to every important personage in the room that evening. I shall say that these included Chief Healers' from St Mungo's, heads of the larger Ministry departments, professional Quidditch players and musicians as well as other prominent figures in Wizarding society."

"And did he do that?" Harry asked.

"Sort of," Kathryn shrugged, "but people mainly introduced themselves of their own accord." She continued to read. "Of course, one cannot help but wonder if Fudge has designs on this young woman that go further then her potential career. Whilst he is keen to make sure that she has the right political connections, could he possibly wish for more than a political relationship between the girl who lived and the highly regarded Lucius Malfoy?"

"What rubbish!" Ginny snorted. "I can tell him what he'll get if he tries anything like that."

"Recently widowed, Lucius Malfoy is one of, if not the most, eligible bachelors in wizarding Britain. Already well connected and considered a veritable pillar of society, what more reason does Minister Fudge need to encourage romance between the pair? Surely a union between these two would create one of the most powerful political dynasties that wizarding Britain has seen for a long while. Those who have seen them together have commented on their apparent familiarity and have surmised that there is more than casual acquaintance behind their smiles. Of course this is mere speculation, but you cannot deny that the possibility is there."

"That had better be speculation." Harry said fiercely.

"Hear, hear," Kathryn added dryly, "I'd sooner drink undiluted Bubotuber pus than entertain thoughts of marrying that vile man." She continued reading the final words of the article to them. "It can be sure that, with the guiding hands of Lucius Malfoy, as well as the attentiveness of Minister Fudge; our young Miss Potter is certainly being groomed for a life of great power and privilege.'" Kathryn finished reading.

"Interesting, isn't it." Harry commented once she had finished.

"Certainly, but thankfully on completely the wrong track." She folded the newspaper up and put it on the floor by her bed. "Fudge may be subtly grooming me to follow a career in politics, I don't know if he is or not, but Lucius Malfoy is definitely not playing nice at Fudge's request. He is playing nice to be perfectly malicious; he knows that I can't hex him in public and that I just have to put up with him and smile for the cameras." She spoke with a bitter edge to her voice although she did not feel it in the slightest.

"It'll have Fudge in an uproar, won't it," Ginny said from the sofa, "I mean, if he is really planning something like that because now he'll assume that you'll be on your guard."

"Yes, but Fudge knows that Harry and I don't trust the Prophet to save our lives; he'll think his plan, if he indeed has one, is safe."
