The two presences clashed at the center of the hall, cracking the floor. Seventeen saw Zephyrus erecting wind barriers around the students. Suddenly the two presences dispelled each other with a powerful shockwave.
Ruth wasted no time. She infused magia in her feet and dashed forward with incredible speed. She took out two white jagged daggers that glowed an icy blue color and slashed at Seventeen.
Seventeen easily dodged it. He summoned Nyx and blocked the second strike in a flurry of sparks. White and black pushed back and forth with such intensity that tiny shockwaves formed.
"Not bad ice queen.", Seventeen said with a grin. "Shut up.", Ruth growled, {Ice Code: Spike Bloom}.
'Oh damn.', Seventeen thought and jumped away, just in time before giant ice spikes erupted from where he stood. He felt a presence behind him and turned to intercept Ruth who swung her daggers down.
Seventeen landed on the ground with a grunt, 'Damn she's fast.', he thought.
(Seventeen, I know that Zephyrus asked you to hold back but not this much)
'I know Prime. I know.', he replied in his mind. Ruth landed a few feet from him. "What happened Seventeen? Didn't you just say you're the strongest?", she taunted him.
"Yeah, I did. And it's the truth.", Seventeen said with a smile, "Now. Let's start melting.", he pointed his sword at her. Golden red flames enveloped Nyx and spread around his body, {Fire Code: Pheonix Cloak}.
The temperature around him increased suddenly, making Ruth sweat. She gritted her teeth, "Not those flames again.", she muttered and crossed her daggers, {Ice Code: Frost Blades}.
Ice spread from the handle of the daggers, it covered the blades and extended resulting in two long jagged ice daggers. Ruth exhaled mist as the temperature around her dropped.
Both of them charged and clashed. Ice and fire collided to form an explosion of steam as Seventeen's flames started vaporizing Ruth's ice which she constantly reformed.
The resulting shockwave shook the building. Zephyrus whistled, "Damn this is awesome."
Arthur and the rest were utterly amazed by the battle in front of them. "Wow. Sir is a fire user.", he said in awe. Ray nodded, "I've never seen a sword like that. It looks deadly.", he whispered. 
Arthur nodded in agreement. Even he hasn't seen a sword like that in his life.
Seventeen and Ruth launched a chain of attacks. Ruth jumped back and held up her hand, {Ice Code: Frozen Spear}, a huge spear of ice formed beside her. She flicked her hand and the spear shot towards Seventeen.
Seventeen sliced the spear in two with Nyx but suddenly a second spear came right behind the first one. 'She used the first spear to hide the second one.', he thought.
He moved to the side and held out his sword. The ice spear slid against the blade and flew towards the wall. Seventeen looked ahead only to find one of Ruth's daggers coming at him.
"Shit.", he muttered and increased the intensity of his Pheonix Cloak. Ruth yelled and jumped back. She stood panting and her face was caked with sweat.
'I really shouldn't really hold back a lot.', Seventeen thought. He found something unique about his opponent's fighting style.
(Even you felt it huh? Ruth Aeva's fighting style focuses on finishing the fight as fast as possible)
'It could be that she can only hold back her curse while using Codes for a small period of time.', Seventeen concluded.

Ruth covered her face to avoid the steam. Suddenly she saw a glint of gold and red, "Damn it!", she yelled and jumped back when Seventeen emerged from the steam and aimed his sword at her.
She moved to the side but the black blade made a small cut on her arm, the blade felt really cold despite it being covered in flames, so cold that she slightly winced.
Ruth saw some runes on the blade glow as it came in contact with a single drop of her blood. She has a bad feeling about it.
"What happened Aeva? You got spooked?", Seventeen taunted her. "In your dreams.", she snarled. Ruth brought the handles of her daggers together such that the blades are on opposite sides.
'I'm almost at my limit but I have to win.', She closed her eyes and concentrated.

The temperature dropped sharply and mist spread from the daggers and covered Ruth completely. Seventeen felt a sudden increase in ice magia and he felt it condensing.
Ice crackled and the mist spread to half of the practice hall. The students shivered. Flare summoned a fireball for warmth.

Suddenly the mist cleared and revealed a breathtaking sight. "Whoa.", Seventeen said.

Ruth's clothes became pure white with long white ribbons trailing from her shoulders and back and her auburn hair has become white. She exhaled mist from her mouth.
"That's a good Code. Now you look like an ice queen.", Seventeen said with a chuckle. "I will freeze that mouth of yours.", Ruth said and pointed her sword at him.
Immediately the swords around her flew towards Seventeen. He tried to slice them but it seemed like the swords had a mind of their own as they evaded Nyx and spun around, forcing Seventeen to parry them.
(The Dance of Swords is a powerful Code, it gives her complete control over her ice swords. The movements of the swords resemble a dance, hence the name)
'Thanks for the info Prime. But looks like that Code is taxing her. Could be due to the curse.', Seventeen thought as he dodged the swords. He saw Ruth breathing heavily and sweating despite the cold.
She suddenly slashed her sword in his direction. A hundred swords flew towards Seventeen at a very high speed. He won't be able to dodge or intercept them.
Seventeen smiled. There is only one way to stop them, "Can't believe I'll be finally using it.", he said and held out his left palm at the swords.

"So, what do you want? My soul? My body?" questioned Kuro with a pretty tensed face. 
"Don't be so tense— hee hee" says Sumire gleefully "I just want to use you to escape from this dreadful place.  After years of being in a situation of kill or killed, I just find this place suffocating."
Rhezaek coughs, alerting Sumire to hide. She is a criminal after all. Like the ghost she is, she passes right through Kuro and disappears. Runes appeared on his hand again. Except this time, there is only an image of a horned girl with a halo, with no traces of other runes. 
Rhezaek opened his eyes. Realizing the situation, he quickly stands up, only to realize that the centipede on the ground is lifeless. With each of its segment ripped and frozen. The damage on the centipede is something that isn't possible for a normal human child to do.
"What happened here?!" asked Rhezaek as he takes a complete/good look of his surrounding, "Why is the beast cold/frozen? This is hell! Not a single frost/frozen beast should exist here! What did you do Kuro?"
"Say 'it's a demon's doing. It came to save us'" Sumire said to Kuro through telepathy. "Just follow what I'm going to say from now on".

Rhezaek decided to take a closer look at the bug and touches it with his hands, "This is indeed a damage done by a demon… It is probably a high-ranking one since only high-ranking demons can use freezing spells but why is an ang—"
"Ouch! Something bit me!" disturbed Kuro while holding up his legs, panicked. "Huff huff" Kuro's face turns pale as he gasps for air. His leg seems to be punctured. Blood drips from the hole on his leg. Black cracks start to form near the injury.
"Based on the symptoms, it's better to rush to the demon lord's castle and seek for treatment there. It's only a few hour if we walk," said Rhezaek as he takes a look at Kuro's leg. "But it will only take a few minutes if I run.get on my back and hang tight. For now please bear with the pain and try to stop the bleeding". After placing Kuro on his back, Rhezaek dashes as fast as the speed of sound. Despite going at this speed, Kuro can't feel any air resistance. So he won't be thrown off even if he doesn't hold Rhezaek tightly, allowing him treat himself.
 The pain seeps in deeper and the cracks were spreading at the same speed of Kuro's blood dripping out from the wound.
"I should test this theory" Kuro thought, "Stop the bleeding on my left leg" whispered Kuro without Rhezaek listening.  It might be due to Sumire's power that the bleeding actually stopped. The cracks also stopped spreading. 
Rhezaek's movement suddenly came to a halt. He drops Kuro on the ground while knowing damn well that Kuro's leg is injured and tilted his head. His face is filled with fear as he asks Kuro a question, "Is… Is that necro… necromancy? " There is an awkward silence between the two of them. "How did you stop the bleeding without touching it and why did I sense an angel's aura near you just now..." Rhezaek's face is shifting to a face full of grief as he pulls out a stone with transmission runes and said; "Yellow code, Necromancer detected, purgatory will happen at Ivy forest 75 asking for all demons nearby for assistance."

I shifted my wings and tightened the hold on the pillar in my quarters, going through the latest summary of numbers from the home office.

"Captain to the bridge."

I opened my eyes and glared at the speaker on? the ceiling, the drone carrying my food automatically displaying the time for me when it noticed that I had just woken up.
One hour. I got to sleep for a total of one hour.

I took a double shift of bridge watch to let Tel'te and Sarah have some kind of...thing. Some kind of celebration or the other so I took Sarahs shift on the bridge.
Which means that I missed the return to normal space, letting my second in command handle it this time. Normally I would have stayed up for it, but I spent the entire day working on assembling Crows with my second engineer...and that was before the double watch on the bridge.
I simply needed the sleep.

As a result, it was a somewhat cranky dragon bird that dragged his tail up to the bridge.
I shook my head and crushed a sweet fruit in my beak as I made my way quickly down the corridor. My quarters were not far from the bridge, but at least it was far enough for me to force myself to wake up a bit more.
As I shook my head I spread my feathers before relaxing, letting them fall back into a more ordered alignment. I then pressed the button to open the door as I entered the bridge.
"Report." I ordered as I moved to climb up onto the pillar, coiling around it.

Commander Swan looked back from the navigator's seat next to Cormac, the main pilot. "Captain, we are being challenged by the frigate 'Glory of Germot' of the Balamak defense fleet. They refuse to believe that we are a freighter and say we are flying with a false transponder code."
What the...
I slowly blinked down at her before I shook my head and pressed some buttons on the pillar to connect to the frigate. It did not take long before the picture of a human in uniform hovered in front of the pillar.
"This is Captain Atreus of the heavy freighter Remembrance. What seems to be the problem here?" I said with a small sigh. I really wanted to go back to my pillow.
"I am Commander Letés, commanding officer of the Glory of Germot. Your transponder code says you are a heavy freighter?" He said with his arms behind his back. The hologram was not the best for colors, but this uniform looked colorful. Good, somebody who showed pride in their work, showing off their colors.
I nodded. "That's because we are one. We are carrying agricultural droids and computer components to Balamak Prime."
The human gave me a flat look. "Yes. Sure you are. If you look out the window, Captain, you will notice that we are alongside you. We can 'see' you. No freighter is armed with six turbolasers. Cut your engines and prepare to be boarded. You are under investigation for pirate activities."
I slowly blinked at the image of the dustling before I gave Cormac a nod. "Cut engines, prepare to receive inspectors."
Well, something tells me I won't be able to get back to sleep for a while. As little as I liked it, they were the legal authorities of this system and had the right to inspect incoming ships.
Still, this should be cleared up fast enough when they see that we are actually carrying what we say we are carrying.
The question is if it happens fast enough to avoid being fined for late delivery.

As soon as I closed my eyes it felt like I was opening them again, but six hours had actually passed. I realized as I picked up my phone and the clock showed up. 'Well I feel rested at least. It's weird how no time had passed.' I looked at the time again, it was only five in the morning I had gone to sleep really early last night and as punishment I was up really early. I couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to do some research on the Code-X game before going to talk to Mr. Jerome. After an hour or so I found that no one else had discovered ths same bug that Rex and me had. 

"It has to be about this bug." I declared to my phone which of course wasn't listening or offering advice.  At around 8am I heard ths familiar sound of bacon being fried and went down stairs for breakfast. "Hey dad good morning" I called over to him as I sat down at the table.

"Hey darlin' you hungry? I made bacon and chocolate chip pancakes!" He excitedly told me while facing the pan. He always took cooking bacon extra seriously for some reason. I nodded without speaking when he looked over, I tried to pass off that I had just woke up.

"Morning hun, morning Addy!" my mom said as she walked into the kitchen yawning loudly. "Did you call Mr. Jerome yet Addy I know you have been up since five." She stated looking over at me. 

"Not yet I will after I eat." I replied looking at the table knowing I had been caught. Ariel then walked in shortly after mom did and just sat down and stared blankly at the table with her eyes barely open. "Morning mermaid, how are you?" She didn't say anything and just nodded her head which made her blonde hair wave. We ate breakfast quietly dad told jokes to try and wake us all up and get us in a good mood. Mom laughed and got ready to go shopping her normal routine. Ariel was waiting for her friend to pick her up to go for a sleepover. Dad went to his office as he was in the middle of a new storyline.

I went to my room and grabbed my phone Rex had said that he would be over soon. I then decided to call Mr. Jerome. The phone rang a couple times before he finally answered. "Hello Mr. Jerome speaking how many I help you Ms. Rudacille?" I was shocked that he hadn't even asked who it was but already knew instead.

"I remembered something and wanted to know if it was related to what you were asking about. Can we meet at the park near my house?" I asked cautiously not trying to sound scared or nervous.

"I can meet you in half an hour is that ok with you?" He responded quickly as if he was expecting this. "Is the park you are mentioning north or south of your place?" 

"I'm bad with compass directions hold on." I needed a map as I was telling the truth about the directions confusion. 'Where is the map!'I kept one in my room for this exact issue. 

*Beep* I raised my head and found floating in front of me a map of my hometown, with a compass in the corner. "Its the one north of me Mr. Jerome!" I said after finding it on the map. "I will see you there in thirty minutes."

"I will see you then." He replied coolly as if he was trying to get a date.

I rushed to get dressed as I heard the front door open. "Addy I'm here!" Rex called from the door. He then started to climb the stairs. Before I could answer back as I had my shirt over my head at that moment he opened my door. He stood there for a few seconds frozen and then his face turned a magnificent shade of scarlet as I'm trying to pull my shirt down and cover myself up. 

"GET OUT!" I screamed as I found a brush and threw it at him.

"IM SO SORRY!" He yelled as he ran back down the stairs face still red. I finished getting dressed and followed shortly after him. He kept apologizing as we left the house. "I'm sorry Addy I didn't know. Where are we going? Did you call him yet?" He asked while still avoiding eye contact.

"Yes I called him we are meeting him at the park we were at last night." I answered meanwhile my face was red from embarrassment. "If you tell anyone you saw me in my underwear I will kill you understood!" I threatened him trying to sound mean.

"I wont I promise!" He answered trying to reassure me. "I wont tell anyone but I wont forget it either!" He added in a whisper, I then punched him in the arm while my face burned hotter.

"Ms. Rudacille and if it isnt Mr. Porter good to see you guys again!" We heard someone say loudly as we entered the park area. We looked over and saw Mr. Jerome sitting on a bench by himself. 'Now might be the hardest conversation we will have.' I thought inwardly to myself.

"Good morning Mr. Jerome how are you?" I asked politely.

"Fine as can be now what is it you wanted to discuss with me?" 

"What do you know about the game Code-X?" Rex asked trying to sound curious.

"Its the new game created by Scorpio industries and the company I work for!" He proudly stated.

"Why aren't you on their company website then?" 

"Top members of a companies security are not required to be placed on the website. Only the federal government needs to know." 

"Ok so why did you come to us and ask us about a mission or if anything weird has happened? That does not seem like a typical line for a company to be asking people." I stated bravely while Rex tilted his head.

"Wow that is a very smart question to ask." He said as if he was surprised yet his facial features remained unchanged. "I was sent to try and recruit you to our company because we found a bug in the Code-X game.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* The system alarm rang in my head repeatedly as a new emergency panel flashed in front of my eyes.

Addy is a normal Highscool girl till one day she gets a system she is unsure how to use it or even why it's there but shadows in the dark are always a pain to deal with.

"Blergh?" Corona questioned her as he had heard a distorted voice from the goddess. She answered him,
"Well... Ignore that Blergh!!"

"What the Blergh!!" Kuso reacted as she wanted to say something. But it always being redacted,
However, she was not giving up as she commanded.
"DocumeBlergh!!"

"What the Blergh!!" Kuso shouted in a raged tone that led Corona to sweaty, and she stated to him awkwardly,
"You are dealing with gods and this is why you will get it as the debuff."
"Deblergh? Why I have to face that blergh?" Kuso looked at the petite god in an unamused look. The petite god reacted to her,
"Save your time to talk, Kuso. You will be like that endlessly for the whole hour. I did experience that before."
"Well... Oblergh!" Kuso answered him. In fact, she was wanted to say "Okay." But since the karma ruled, then it will become "Oblergh!"
Then, Kuso started,
"I wonder where we can found Reiblergh!'s trace? Do you have any idea about that, Blerghrona!?"
"Not sure, Kuso. But we should be going back towards the burned up area." 
"Agreeblergh!" Kuso answered him. He was about to laugh for his "Blergh" ending antics. But, he knew that was not ethical at all to laugh over someone's misfortune that led him to sigh, and then, they walked together towards the burned-up area.
When both of them had arrived at the burning site. They had moved towards the place as the petite god questioned the surviving citizens before. According to the petite god. He was the only one who could use that elemental detection at that body.
"Switch body!" The petite god shouted and both of them had returned to the normal body, then. The goddess commanded,
"Elementar Blerghtector!"
"Blergh?" The software developer looked at her in an expression that was drawn as,
"STOP IT CORONA !! STOP IT!! IM ABOUT TO LAUGH CRAZILY!!"
However, Kuso had known it clearly that he must not laughing over someone's misfortune. Which led him to ask the goddess,
"Where we can start with?" He asked her who trying to command another system summon to enable her magical element detection,
"Magica Belrghera!"
"Blergh again?" 
"Why the fuck I kept saying `Blergh` blergh!?" Corona weirdly questioned the petite god who tried to calm her. However, things went weirdly as she tried to alter her code and it led the system to said,
#Unable to compile, reason: Karma Debuff.
"Fublergh! Janblergh! Asblergh lah! Kok raiso publerghlah!!" 
"Seriously Corona, I don't get what you want to say."
"I MEAN, WHY THE FUCK I KEPT SAYING BLERGH??!!" Corona shouted to him, however. The system notified her brain as it was written as,
#Karma unlifted.
"Eh?" Both of them reacted to each other in a confusion. However, the goddess cleared her throat and then, she said,
"Let me try this out."
She repeated her command again, then, she commanded,
"Elemental Detector!"
When she commanded so, her heads up display had been showing the traces of the magic where everyone had used before. And it led the goddess to said,
"There are fire, ice, lightning, and water element being seen. However, I found out that the water magic was too weak. Not sure how I can explain it."
"I think I have read your documentation before, Corona," Kuso replied to her remark, and it led her to look at him and asked him,
"What had you find earlier?"
"Elemental reaction," Kuso answered her, and then. She flashed back on her own memories where she had learned about it before. 
When she was diving into her own thoughts, Kuso was analyzing the logic beneath of the elemental reaction as well as he murmured.
"If water and lightning could cause electromagnetic and water with fire could cause the vaporizing then, the ice could make it being frozen then..."
The software developer looked at the surroundings and observing them. He looked at the left and right with his keen eyes. However, Corona questioned him,
"Did you seen something that I have seen as well?"
"You mean, the ice?"
Corona nodded when the software developer was mentioned so. It led her to remark,
"There was no sign of the vaporizing effect. So, it was most likely that the water element was wakened first before being attacked."
"And according to your documentation, Ice element could weaken the water element in seconds by freezing it. And I remember that Reili could not be able to stand the cold."
"Shit!" Corona reacted as she moved her point of view to somewhere else which led her to saw Reili's broken rod with the freezing blood being dragged towards the bush.
"How do you think about it, Corona?" Kuso asked her and then, she answered the software developer.
"Without a doubt. It's her blood!"
Both of them moved straightaway by following the frozen bloodstain towards the bushes. Then, they were running towards the spot where there was an empty spot. Which led the software developer to requested her,
"Use your elemental detection again."
"Elemental Detector!" She commanded so which led her point of view to start to become a global positioning system for magical trace. 
She tried to move to the left and right to follow the trace of the Ice and the bloodstains. However, she was stopped as she was frozen into fear as she reacted.
"You have to run now. Kuso!"
BLAST!
An explosion of the magical trace being heard clearly to the outside. It led the software developer and the goddess to be bound into a trap.
But, the software developer was smart enough which led him to throw a rock towards the trigger of the trap. Still...
