Synopsis: Icarus is a kind crazy young man with a strange common sense. He loves money, lying and deceiving people. His life philosophy is to do only things that seem fun. On the next day, Fern and Emily go through their routine of attending different lectures in the morning and reuniting for lunch. After the girls have recovered their energy, they find a bus and go to the art gallery. 

The Tremblay Art Centre looks like a big white box on the outside, but it houses a fantastically large collection of various art pieces. The centre could easily be mistaken for a museum because of its education programs and historical exhibitions. It would take multiple 8-hour extended visits to see everything that the centre has to offer. 

Immediately upon walking into the building, Emily and Fern are dazzled by a colourful and large glass sculpture that doubles as a chandelier. Careful to avoid standing under the sculpture, just in case it falls, the two pick up an informational brochure and map from the greeter. 

Looking at the map, Fern is immediately overwhelmed by an onslaught of compelling exhibitions to look at. In contrast, Emily does not bother looking at the map and starts walking towards the first thing she sees. When Fern looks up to ask Emily about her thoughts, Emily has already infiltrated a group of artsy looking people. 

Walking up to Emily and poking her shoulder, Fern smiles awkwardly to the strangers and says hello. Turning back to Emily, Fern looks like a mom who is about to scold her kid and asks, "what?" 

Like she's known this group of people her entire life, Emily cheerfully says, "Let me introduce you! Everybody this is my best bud Fern, Fern, this is everybody. We were just talking about what we think the meaning is of this painting." Leaning into Fern and using her hand to cover her mouth, Emily jokingly says, "Poor Sally said she thinks it means that clowns aren't scary." Emily's new friends laugh like that was peak comedy while Fern lets out of a fake chuckle. 

Failing to notice Fern's awkwardness, Emily wraps her arm around Fern's shoulders and tells the group, "We're actually starting a science club that produces a newsletter. Any of ya'll interested in joining? You guys seem like you'd be good at writing and design." 

Fern's eyes widen as she is shocked by Emily's boldness. They might not even be students at Ontario University. Fern continues to be stunned as the strangers actually consider Emily's proposal. Do absurdly fearless university students with lots of free time all gather at art galleries? 

After Emily tells the group more about the club, two of the group members say they might be able to write for the newsletter. Emily trades contact information with the two group members and shows them the club's Facebook page, so they can follow it. Happy that she's recruited some more members, Emily cheers and says, "Already got 5 club members! We still need to get a graphic designer for the website, you guys know anyone?" 

In response, one of the people offers, "One of our friends does graphic design gigs on the side, but I don't know if she'd be willing to help. She came to the gallery with us-" 

The person stops talking as a young woman walks up to the group. She's at least 6 feet or 182 cm, has dark brown skin, and very short hair. Complementing her artsy model aesthetic, she's wearing unique pieces of clothing and graphic makeup that make her look like she jumped out of a fashion magazine. Looking down and making eye contact with Fern and Emily, she says to no one in particular, "Who are these two?" 

Perking up, one of the new potential writers for the club says, "Hey, Alina! We were just talking about you. These are our new friends, Emily and Fern. They're looking someone to do graphic design for their club newsletter." 

Raising her eyebrows, Alina sizes up the due before unceremoniously replying, "Well, good luck with that." 

Off-put by Alina's bluntness, but unwilling to give up, Emily wears a customer service smile and says, "Thanks. Could we convince you to be our graphic designer?" 

Watching Alina's unamused body language and responses, Fern worries that she and Emily have somehow offended her. Knowing that Emily is stubborn as heck when it comes to apologizing, there is almost no chance of Alina agreeing to help if this continues. Before Alina can respond, Fern jumps into the downward spiralling conversation. 

"It can be like a part-time job rather than a volunteering position... We won't be able to pay you from the get-go, but we can reimburse you later." Noticing that Alina looks more open and interested, Fern gains confidence and adds, "If you want." 

Crossing her arms and raising her head, Alina says, "I don't need your money." In the same breath, she says, "But I have standards and my time is valuable. I expect you'll pay me at least $15 for every hour that I'm working, not just for the art itself." 

Emily inwardly scoffs at Alina's 'I'm better than you act,' but says nothing. Pleased that she fortunately guessed why Alina was miffed, Fern smiles and says, "Great! Can I see some of your work, and I'll tell you about the club?" 

"Sure." After standing straighter and getting rosy in the cheeks, Alina says, "A higher up at the gallery is alumni, so it does exhibitions of student works. You can see some of my pieces there." 

"Wow, that's so cool!." Tugging on Emily's shoulder, Fern enthusiastically asks where the exhibition is. Emily, Fern, Alina, and the two writers split off from the rest of the group to look at Alina's art and discuss club plans. 

Eventually, Fern and Emily lost track of time while chatting and looking at intriguing art. Although Emily was averse to the idea of persuading Alina any more, Emily and Fern got verbal promises to join the club from Alina and the two writers. Verbal commitments from university students are not the most reliable, but they are better than nothing. By the time they had seen maybe 40% of everything in the building, they were exhausted, and the sun was starting to set. Not eager to be outside when it is dark out, the two decide to stop by Dr. Martin's lab and postpone shopping.

A young university student, Fern, is a mess. She has yet to find something that makes her feel passionately excited. 

When Fern receives a bad mark on a research project proposal, she is forced to seek help from a professor and discovers the magic of biology. 

As Fern pursues her fascination with the field, she and her friends will inadvertently revolutionize the world's understanding of the planet and its inhabitants.

Staying with Eva certainly wasn't boring. On the first night they were at her house she insisted they were going to burn through as many Disney movies as possible so Hazel would know who all they bothered standing in line to take pictures with. 
She hadn't realized her lack of knowledge had been so apparent. But Eva wasn't unkind about it. It seemed more like she wanted to share something fun that she liked than she thought Hazel was crazy for not knowing before. 
Most of the movies were pretty cute. Exactly the sort of things kids tended to eat up. 
Hazel had enjoyed it too once upon a time. Her parents used to put those types of movies on for her and sometimes even take her to see them in theaters. 
She used to wish they would play movies while she was in the mental hospital. But after meeting Will and hearing all of the amazing things there were to know about the real world, the fictional one hadn't appealed to her as much anymore. 
Besides, once she got out her uncle wasn't the type to allow children's movies in his house. He didn't like the slightest bit of noise indicating she existed most of the time. That was the only reason he supplied her with minimal art supplies. 
Drawing was always an effective way to shut her up. As she went back to school and was able to check out books from its library she tried to draw the things she read about. There were even some guides on how to draw that helped her a lot as she tried to improve. 
Hazel spent the remainder of her elementary school days and most of middle school as well refining her technique. She was so absorbed by all there was to learn that she had no interest in friends so it wasn't like anybody other than her uncle would have taken her to the movies either. 
When they weren't watching movies, Eva wanted to hear more about Hazel's life. There really wasn't much to tell leaving out her juicy past. She was a pretty boring person. 
Talking about her art was a fairly safe topic. She mentioned that she had been interested in it basically her whole life so it was the obvious career choice even though people advised her against it. 
Everything had worked out in the end. She landed this comic job, which looked great on her resume. And after that she ended up married to someone who was willing and able to buy her all the art supplies she could ever want. Will had kept his promise quite well even if it was later than she had hoped. 
Getting here had been a rough road though. Her uncle didn't support her dreams and refused to pay for her to go to art school. He had barely acknowledged her when she got a scholarship by buying her a school sweatshirt. 
All of her high school teachers (except the art teacher) were against it too. They thought she was wasting her brains on a field that wouldn't pay well or offer a consistent job unless she decided to be a graphic designer. 
Hazel didn't want to spend her entire life creating lifeless things for other people. She refused to go down that road, even if it meant picking up a bunch of odd jobs to get by. 
Graphic designers didn't have any sort of creative freedom whatsoever in her mind. She needed to be unrestrained and free in her art or she felt choked. Even working with a finicky author like Eva was far superior to making logos all day. 
The nice thing was that Eva understood how she felt about taking the easy road. She could have gone to grad school to become a social worker like every other psychology major she knew because it was the 'smart choice' with that degree. Social workers, like graphic designers, were in high demand. 
But she was one to take the road less traveled by. If she went back to grad school it would be to specialize in the very specific field she wanted and nothing less. 
She had told Hazel how she ended up where she was now, in what her mother called 'a career dead end.' Yes, she was working two jobs and didn't have the most glamorous lifestyle but she made enough to do fun things every so often like their trip in Florida. 
The point was that she was doing what she wanted and didn't feel a rush to change that. Hazel could respect that. 
What she was less fond of was that Eva's interest in true crime and serial killers was because she was genuinely intrigued by criminology. Her eventual goal was to work for the FBI as a profiler. 
Wanting to catch people like her parents' killer wasn't the part she was upset by. It was how she consumed countless amounts of media about serial killers and other famous criminals and helped perpetuate sales and popularity for those things. 
It was people like her who kept the market for such grotesque things open. Those she truly despised—the people who capitalized on other people's pain by writing books picking apart the sick minds of killers—made money off of people like Eva. It was why they kept doing it. 
She had seen the book on the Bay Area Blade that had largely inspired his inclusion in that docuseries in a stack on the coffee table. It had taken all of her willpower to keep her mouth shut about it.
The series had already started airing and Hazel desperately hoped Eva wouldn't want to watch it while she was stuck here. She wasn't sure she would calmly be able to explain why she couldn't bear to watch that crap. 
Three days passed and there was no sign of the snow letting up back home so she would have to stay here a while longer. That show aired on Sundays and it was Thursday now. More than anything she wanted the airport to be cleared for travel before then.

“I’ll marry anyone who will take me!” Hazel declared loudly. “I don’t need love!”

“Get down!” Will hissed. “You don’t know what kind of people are lurking around in here! Talking like that might get you killed!”

I'm Rayshawn Butler, and I enjoy watching anime as well as drawing them. I love listening to old school music, particularly Janet Jackson. My favorite manga team is the all-female group CLAMP who is known for Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, ×××HOLiC, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, RG Veda, X/1999, Chobits and many others. Clamp was my huge inspiration for writing my own stories because their works cover themes such as fate, love transcending age, gender, and identity, human relationships and the idea of soulmates.

When I was a young child, my family and friends we're the most important people in my life because they encourage me to become a successful adult in the future. While growing up in High Point, I was born as the middle child of the Butler family; my brother is the oldest and my sister is the second oldest. Since eleven years has passed, my youngest sister was conceived at the High Point Regional Medical Center. 

During my childhood, I moved quite frequently: I used to live in a two-story apartment known as Beamon Courts where my aunt's mother lives in. Her name was Ms. Byers and her daughter is named Jackie Byers. Since then, I would often go to her house and spend quality time with her such as having conversations with her, watching TV, and treating others well. However, as time passes, I never saw much of her on account that she passed away in 2016. I felt heartbroken at the thought of her death, but I often remind myself that she's with God, and her daughter is still striving during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, my family guided me through life by setting good examples of maintaining a positive outlook during dire consequences, treating people with care and respect, and adapting myself in the real world. They also encouraged me to learn how to manage my money so that no one would cheat me out of my money.

Speaking of managing money, my family and I often go out and eat at public restaurants, most notably McDonald's. When it comes to eating as much as we can, I often finished my plate and let the food digest. However, I'm also aware that eating too much trans fat can cause people to experience a number of health problems. Due to this, my family have to save enough money to use for more important business such as insurance and savings. In order to be balanced with our money, we keep track of our income and expenses so that we stay on top of our monthly bills. Elaborating on my current health, I go to the doctor regularly because it's important for me to schedule an appointment with a doctor about my health. 

One time, I had a surgery appointment at Brenners Children's Hospital because I had scoliosis. My spine was curved, which caused me to have a lot of trouble standing up properly. After the surgery, I had rods put in my back to help support my posture. Since I had rods in back, I never done any sports of any kind. This is also connected to the fact that fact my parents, despite the difficulties in their jobs, they work hard to value me and my siblings' life so that we can have a better future. Expanding on the impact they had on me, they also taught me life lessons on advocating myself to pursue my dreams, setting up future goals to achieve and strive for, and always be true to myself. I'm glad my family guided me through life because they talked clearly on making the right decisions to avoid any serious mistakes.

Since 2015, I enrolled at GTCC to study in the Advertising & Graphic Design program. My art teacher, Ms. Snyder, introduced me to the principles of art when I took up drawing classes. Currently, I am majoring in the Associate in Fine Arts program to earn my Fine Arts degree. Although, despite my ambition of becoming a professional artist in the future, I faced some major obstacles that hindered me from succeeding in my chosen field like taking in constructive criticism, approaching negative thoughts about my artwork, and demonstrating poor behavorial skills. My profession is to be a successful graphic designer and open up my own business in the future.

Since 2019, I have participated in Portfolio Day and discussed my design process to the viewers who came to look at many designs. I am a graphic designer and the techniques that I use involve using Adobe software programs and art utensils. I also uploaded artworks on Behance for audiences to review and be influenced. What inspired me to create my work is researching Japanese artwork. One of the inspirations that pique my interest in studying art is Japanese manga (comic books), particularly Clamp. My inspiration came from researching and reading about how Japanese art influenced me to create art that will catch the audience's attention.

When I create art, it makes me feel inspired to create original pieces that relate to my inspiration. Because of this, I create art to convey the message that, even if art does involve drawing and brainstorming concepts on paper, it is visual communication that revolves around the idea of addressing themes that relate to how society functions. The major themes that are present in my artwork are perseverance, being a goal seeker, dealing with everyday life and the joy and pain that it brings us, and finding hope in a harsh world. The themes revolve around the idea of finding your purpose and how you can subvert that purpose into something meaningful. 

Media as a whole influenced my way of viewing life because they last a timeless impression on how I view the world from a fictional or musical perspective. One of the R&B singers that I often bring up in conversations is Janet Jackson because I admire how she tackles various social themes that are still relevant in today's society such as racism, domestic violence, gang violence, school shootings, sensuality, poverty, and hope. I'm inspired by media because they help me reflect on my individuality (social wellness). Because of this, I'm capable of befriending people and sharing my feelings with them. This encourages me to be brave and make good choices that will benefit my future goals. So, for the near future, I'm going to improve on my health by getting a proper education, getting 6-8 hours of sleep, having access to health care, maintaining good income, and maintaining a healthy social relationship. These impacts were important as they were in the past because they influence me to make proactive decisions that will help me succeed in my life.

Anime has been a huge influence in my life because I grew up watching and reading some manga stories that caught my interest in creating my own stories in the near-future. One day, when I get a job in Japan as a manga artist, my stories would be about children and young adults exploring their worlds, fighting against all odds, and learning moral lessons on sacrifice, love, fate, predetermination & destiny.

An autobiography story that tells my experience at GTCC. As I'm graduating from the two-year college, I'm starting a new chapter in my life. Applying for a job, being independent, starting a family of my own, and taking care of my family are all relevant matters that are important in my life because they're in an integral part of growing up in a flawed, but functioning society.

"Al, I'm really grateful for your help. I'm really sorry that I look to forceful when I ask you to become this movie's director."

"You are welcome Robert, but I choose you to be the director of <The Sixth Sense> because I believed in your abilities and you have proven it."

"No Al, without you I may be still struggling to convince some medium production company, you know that this is my last chance to live my life in Hollywood, without you, I won't be able to shoot my new film <Romancing The Stone>"

"Okay Robert, enough talking about depressing things, how about my talk with George Lucas, are you also interested CGI technology for movies? Although with current technology, there will be always limitation."

"Yeah, I really want to try various new methods in my films but thats in the future, Al do you remember the the film I ask you to play when we have a chance?"

"Yes, I'm quite curious. You said to wait for me 'till I'm in my teen first."

"Actually, the setting of the characters age is at least 17, but I convinced the screenwriter Bob Gale to revised the script a bit, make the characters in their 14 or 15 with their early teenage problems."

"Okay then, whats the film about, let me see the script first. Although we have a nice cooperation, I need to review how good the script first." Al will help his friends, but if this related to his movie career, he won't afraid to reject them if he has no confidence in that movies.

"Of course, I won't give you a bad script Al. First of all, Bob and I write this sci-fi about time machine. We called it <Back to the Future> the story is tell about a teenager with his puberty problem who gone back to past with a car time machine made by his friend, a crazy scientist." So Robert continue telling him rest of the stories.

"Okay Robert, you convinced me. Its a good story, I like science fiction film and it has softer theme so will be  easier to understand by audience. I will tell Ari and James to do some discussion about my pay."

They have another talk and meet up with Spielberg and Lucas. But he meet with unexpected guess, Steve Jobs.

Then Lucas introduce Jobs with Al but Jobs only greet him with one words and continue talking business with Lucas.

Lucas also quite uncomfortable to how Jobs treat Al. While Jobs thinks that Al only a Hollywood brat in rise who understand nothing.

So Al just stand aside and listen to their conversation.

'Damn you Jobs, do you realize I'm also the shareholders of Apple and one of the biggest?'

So his worship of Uncle Jobs extenguished, he still as hard as coral before he was kicked out by Apple and yet convert himself to Buddhist religion that teach him to chill out.

So he turn to Steven and tell his intention, "Steven, I forget to mention you this. In a year I will make that short film, I need a help for technical and instrumental problems Steven."

"You mean you need the equipment and crew right? You always use weird term to test me." He laugh.

"You really understand me most Godfather." He huming and said, "Can I rent some of your people and equipment? This will be my first experimental film and I hope I can shoot after I finish my next movie appointment."

"Let me guess, is it  <Back To The Future>?" He guessed

"How do you...Oh, you are the producer right?"

"Good guess, Robert and Bob came to me with another script and hope that I able to become the producer. Of course many studios lining up to invest in Spielberg-Zemickis-Brandt combination again."

"How 'bout you Steven? Did you have another film appointment?"

"Yes, two exactly, first I'm going to shoot <Indiana Jones> sequel and other, I'm planning to direct it but I am afraid I can't do it."

"What, no way Steven! you are a great director!" Al said with disbelief.

"No, its just that my movies style is too commercialize and this film is an art film, so I'm not sure I can do this, I already ask Stanley Kubrick for help, but until now he has yet to answer. He said he also has some doubt if he can do it."

'What, no way!? Even Stanley Kubrick? Don't tell me that film!' Al thought, so he ask, "What is this film about Steven?"

"Ah, its a biography of Oskar Schindelr." He said.

He's right, "Is he the ex-Nazi soldier who save almost 600 Jews in Poland from holocaust?"

Spielberg nod, "You know everything kid." He shrugged and said, "I read, old man, I also like to read Anne Frank's Diary and other books, you forget that I'm also an author."

Spielberg smiled, Al then continued, "Yes Steven, its probably hard, not only funding, but also some scepticism and negative response from Jews communities in and out Hollywood."

In last life, this film has been planned for 10 years, many revission of the script, many directors reject to direct it, distributor and theatre almost reject to screen it, investment problem and many scepticism from Jews communities that was to afraid to remember the World War II Holocaust.

So this film shelved, wait for Spielberg gain experience in art film and shoot it himself 10 years from now.

"Well I think maybe wait for 2 or 3 years to shoot it, I don't know either." He said sadly

"Take your time Steven, take your time." He comfort Steven.

The party almost over, Lucas has finish talking to Jobs. Due to failure of Lisa's project, their share price is falling into bottom and with stuborn character of Jobs, many shareholders offended and threatening to kick Jobs out of Apple. His position in Apple now on a cliff.

So he is here to promote his new computer project to modernize the operation of Hollywood filming and operation.

Also Lucas ask Al to meet him next week in his house to further discuss the purchase of one of his computer graphic department.

Skywalker Ranch, Nicasio, California.

This is George Lucas's house, office and also studios named after his character Luke Skywalker. It took about one and an half hour from LA to reach San Francisco.

Al come with John Mick, James Norman, Jessica, and also Nancy because it related to big scale purchase, he needs to come with his business advisor.

Over there he meets with Steven Spielberg who had a cofee with George Lucas and 3 other men who he did not recognize.

"Al! Nice to meet you, how was your flight?"

"I'm okay Mr Lucas, we arrived yesterday and we just went from hotel." Al smiled and shake his hand.

"Oh, I need to introduce you, this is Edwin Catmull, the leader of Graphic Group, the name of the division that I'm going to sell you, Alvy Ray Smith the Vice Leader, and John Lasseter, one of the important member of Graphic Groups."

This time Edwin Catmull come forward and said, "Good morning Mr Brandt, I heard you want to invest in our independent company Graphic Group." He said with a cold tone.

Al frowned, he doesn't like where will this conversation will going, He replied with more cold tone "Invest? Mr Lucas doesn't say anything about investing. He only said that sold Graphic Groups to me and hire you to become one of my employee!"

Now he felt offended, "Look kid, you don't understand about computer graphic technologies, this is not an Atari or Apple II games, this is million dollar project, not something that a rich kid can play with. I agree to your investment but if you try to intervere with any of our operation, I will quit with other 40 people from Graphic Groups!!"

"Well just quit then, I don't need stuborn and hard headed person to work with. I thought it would be a good teamwork but I find out the leader is another Steve Jobs." He replied calmly.

Smith answered, " Come on Ed! Its not that bad, you know that our division on a tight rope, we need to work this together, we already talked about this with other employees, we also need to feed our families." He plead.

He replied in cold tone, "Traitor, all of you traitor, you, Lucas, John and you kid!! We have dream to make this company together! I hope this company fail and bankrupt!" He walk out of Lucas's house.

Dreams are beautiful, without dreams human can't be called human anymore, but if your dreams can't let your kids and wife have a full bellies every night, you are even worse than human.
