An unlikely team, Snake and Hamster, put their heads together to escape the pet store on the only day of the year there is no staff; Christmas.

After everything was ready, he finally collapsed into the reclining chair.

In the past, Zhang Zian always thought it was easy to run a pet shop. Now he finally realized that it was really difficult. However, this was his own choice, he had already sent a resignation letter to his company; it was too late to regret it.

But when he saw several energetic cubs full of beautiful fur innocently looking at him, asking for food, he felt that all of his pain had been rewarded.

"Galaxy, how about taking a bath?" he joked with his Lucky Cat, who had been observing for a long time.

The Lucky Cat shook its head desperately, indicating that this matter was not negotiable.

Zhang Zian also thought that the Lucky Cat didn’t need a bath at all, as his fur was even cleaner than those that had just received one. He really didn’t know how that could happen like this.

A little while later, the floral shop delivery man parked his electric tricycle in front of the shop and knocked on the glass door. He also tried to look inside through the glass holding the shed.

Galaxy had already carried its cotton pads and huddled into the corner. Zhang Zian bounced from the reclining chair at once and hurried to open the door. The cold morning air poured in with the opening of the door.

"Is this the flower basket your ordered?" the delivery man asked.

"Well, yes. Thanks a lot." Zhang Zian took out the money to pay him.

"Is this a pet shop?" the man asked while counting the money.

"Yes," Zhang Zian replied.

The man put the money in his pocket but didn’t leave. He looked inside and said, "How much is the puppy?"

"Is this the so-called business knocking on my door?" he thought.

Zhang Zian tried not to show his excitement and said, "My shop was just opened. There weren’t a lot of pets yet but we have a Samoyed, if you would like to take a look."

The man thought for a while and said, "Samoyed, I’ve heard of it before. How much is it?"

"Ah? So expensive? No! No! You are too deceptive! A puppy is much more expensive than a person!" The man hurried away with a brief wave.

Zhang Zian felt helpless and went back to the shop with a bitter smile. The price of ¥2500, which was almost the same as its cost, was not that expensive. He initially wanted to sell it for at least ¥3000. The pet had been immunized with six imported vaccines at Pet’s Home. Those imported vaccines were much more expensive than domestic ones. But he never had a chance to explain that, as the man had already escaped from him, as if he was running away from the Plague Gods. 

Pets were luxuries, not daily necessities. In other words, was it expensive to have a ¥2500 necklace? Was it expensive to have a ¥2500 diamond ring? Was it expensive to have a ¥2500 LV bag? 

"Not closing the deal today was okay, and it might have been a lucky thing for the Samoyed. If that man was barely willing to pay ¥2500 for it, once the Samoyed had a serious illness, the man would give it up, as the pet didn’t have medical insurance," Zhang Zian thought. 

When Zhang Zian thought of the word "lucky," he looked at the quiet and cute Lucky Cat with a smile.

When he had just laid down on the reclining chair, a girl with two braids peeked in. "Manager, are there any pets yet?" she said.

It was the little girl from the other day who had said her family couldn’t have a pet. She still had her schoolbag; it seemed that she had dropped by on her way to school.

"Yes, come in and take a look if you want," he said.

Zhang Zian was under great pressure, as he didn’t expect that the first customer would be a schoolgirl without any money. The girl gave a loud cheer and ran into the shop with her little schoolbag lightly trembling on her back.

"It’s okay to check the pets, but don’t be late for school, all right?" he reminded her.

"Yes!"

She stopped at the pet display area with her mouth half-open and full of excitement, looking at the Siamese cat, the British Shorthair, and the Samoyed. Then, her eyes finally fell on the little hamster.

Zhang Zian had just combed the hamster’s hair, which made it look very clean. Hamsters did not usually need to take baths, because they had very small figures. Bathing in the water could make them sick. If bathing was necessary, they had to be washed with special sand. As a matter of fact, the hamster’s activities area was limited to the cage, so keeping the cage clean would help keep the hamster clean, and no bath would be needed.

The hamster was a milky color, with chubby cheeks that were cute to poke at. It had three black lines on its head, going all the way down the back like the popular mohican hair style.

Half of the hamster’s body was buried in sawdust, and its two small round black eyes stared at the little girl.

"How small! How cute!" the little girl exclaimed and clapped her hands.

She looked left and right around the hamster cage made of transparent, acrylic plate circles. It looked like she wanted to go into the cage and play with the hamster.

The lights in the Amazing Fate Pet Shop were regional. Zhang Zian dimmed the light in the middle area to fit to the little hamster’s vision, it being a nocturnal animal, so that it could see the little girl.

"Anyway, there are no other guests right now, so it’s better to save power," he thought.

"Manager, what does it eat?" she asked, turning her head toward Zhang Zian.

"Well… It has a mixed diet, such as common fruits and vegetables; in addition, peanuts, melon seeds, yellow beans, and black beans are also okay," he answered.

"Oh! Can I bring something tomorrow to feed it?" The girl bit her lips nervously, begging. She was concerned that Zhang Zian wouldn’t agree.

"Sure, but don’t feed it too much. Just several peanuts are more than enough. The hamster is so small that it doesn’t eat a lot. If it eats too much, that will not be good for its health," Zhang Zian said.

"Thanks, Manager! I am going to school now, bye-bye!" 

She hurried out just like she had come in, with her two ponytails and backpack swinging up and down.

"Kids at her age should be dropped off and picked up at school by their parents. How could her parents let her go to school by herself?" Zhang Zian thought.

When the little girl had just stepped out, a slim figure entered the door.

"Was that girl your daughter?" Sun Xiaomeng asked.

Sun Xiaomeng’s first sentence after getting into the shop almost made Zhang Zian faint. The old wounds of last night were not healed, but new wounds were already being made today.

"Am I so old?" Zhang Zian touched his face, depressed.

Without the white coat, Sun Xiaomeng appeared to be a young, urban beauty. Zhang Zian barely recognized her.

"How do you have time to come today?" He rose up from the reclining chair.

"Well, is it a question? My pet clinic was just opened too. There are almost no customers, just like yours, so I stopped by." Sun Xiaomeng didn’t even greet him, walking directly towards the display case and playing with the cubs.

She had done all the cubs’ vaccinations, so they seemed very close to her, immediately trying to get to the side of the display case.

"No, no, you misunderstood that my shop was really just opened. The customers are on their way here!" Zhang Zian stressed.

Mike pushed a button on the control panel turning off the Xbox One and answering the call.

Stranger: Why hello.

Mike: SHOW YOURSELF!!!

Stranger: Not yet, first let me show all of you my newest test subject!

It was a giant hamster 🐹 with tiny bat wings🦇. The beast was drooling and had a not so smart expression on his face resembling to Patrick Star.



Mark: Ha Ha Haaaa, look at that ugly idiot 😂😂🤣🤣.

Stranger: Yes he is an idiot, I forgot to add a brain.

Mike: That's animal abuse!.

Stranger: I call him bat hamster or BH for short.

Chan: Tell us your name.

Stranger: My name is Dr. Baldwin.

Mike: Meet us at the arena for supers.

Dr. Baldwin:  That's where all the famous fights are located excellent, I shall bring my pet with me.

Dr. Baldwin ended the call turning on the Xbox One and the twins were playing. 

Chan: What were you thinking?!?

Mike: Come on, we can handle him and his giant pet.

Chan: You know, one day you're going to learn to think things through before you rush into them it can get you killed and besides we haven't trained yet.

Mike: Just trust me on this one, we don't need training anyway.

Chan: Oh boy you better be right.

Mike: Guys turn off the Xbox.

Cori & Tori: Yes sir.

24 minutes later everyone made it to the arena.

Mike: There's dr. Baldwin and his monster pet!

Dr. Baldwin was riding on his pet.

The bat hamster shot fire out of his mouth.

Everybody except Tommy ducked in time.

Tommy: Good thing I'm fire proof.

Tommy quickly got out of the way while Jay froze the ground.

Dr. Baldwin: This town isn't big enough for all of us.

Mike: Will see about that.

Dr. Baldwin jumped off his bat hamster and landed on the ground with ease.

Dr. Baldwin got a big freeze ray from his backpack.

Chan: My, you're quite flexible.

Dr. Baldwin: Thank you... NOW FREEZE!

Dr. Baldwin turned on his freeze ray. He was able to freeze everyone except Jay.

Jay: Nice try but you're freeze ray is no match for me, I'm invulnerable to freezing temperatures.

Dr. Baldwin: That's a real bummer.

Dr. Baldwin switched the gun to maximum freeze (Below 0 degrees) and shot the sky.

Just a minute later it started snowing.

Jay passed out because it was too cold.

Dr. Baldwin: Not so invincible now are we??

Dr. Baldwin threw Jay on BH and they flew to his lair.

Jay woke up tied to a chair.

Jay: WHO'S THERE? AND WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?!?

Dr. Baldwin: That's a good question my compadre, you're super power intrigues me. How did you get it?

Jay: I don't know.

Dr. Baldwin: Come on you have to know.

Jay: I got it from birth maybe?

Dr. Baldwin: So you really don't know?

Jay: No, Can I go now?

Dr. Baldwin: NO!

Dr. Baldwin: I guess plan A didn't work but I bet plan B will.

Jay: Wait what are you-

Dr. Baldwin put tape on Jay's mouth and kicked the chair into his giant freezer.

Dr. Baldwin: Let's see how long you last! WAHAHAHAHA😈😈.

Meanwhile...

Tommy's body set on fire causing him to break free.

Tommy: Hey I'm free! I have to free the others.

Tommy threw fireballs at each ice cube.

Mike: Thanks Tommy

Mark: No one freezes Mark and gets away with it!

Sophia: Tommy.

Tommy: Yes?

Sophia: Your on fire.

Tommy: Yea i am the best thanks for noticing.

Sophia: No I mean your LITERALLY on fire!

Tommy: It doesn't hurt.

Layla: Where's Jay?

Chan: Baldwin must've taken him to his lair.

Tommy: I'll lead the way.

 Dr. Baldwin was peacefully reading his book when Tommy Knocked down a frozen door.

Baldwin: How did you-

Mike punched him before he could finish.

Tommy: Shut up and tell us where our friend is now!!

Baldwin: Or what?

Tommy: you will be burned into a crisp that's what!

Baldwin: Fine.

Baldwin got a tied up Jay from the freezer and untied him.

Mike got the tape out of Jay's mouth.

Jay: OUCH!!

Mike: Now cooperate and let us take you to jail.

Baldwin went out the door and made a run for it.

Mike: Should we get him?

Chan: No he'll come back.

Layla: What do we do with the fella over there?

Cori: Let's take him for ice cream and keep him.

Chan: Not a bad idea.

They all went to the ice cream parlor, found a place for BH and then went to sleep.

"I'm no Little Huang or Little White. I'm not your regular household cat and dog! My name is Huangdu!"
The little hamster sighed deeply. "The disciples these days are getting worse with each generation. Forget it, it's not like you'll understand. Let me go now and I'll let this slide."
"Let it slide eh?" Chu Chen nodded. Before the hamster could have said anything, he pulled it out from the vines and held it by its round body. "Little Huang, you've stolen quite some spiritual herbs from me. How will you settle this?"
"How is that considered stealing!?" Hearing that, the little hamster got angry. "I rule over all lands and realms. How would I resort to such a lowly act?! I'm just eating it openly! Kid, do you know that I was framed by a rival back then? When I woke up, I was surrounded by a bunch of random people that placed thousands of restrictive spells on me and turned me into this stupid form! As long as I have enough spiritual herbs to break my restrictions, I will take you in as my true disciple and let you inherit all the secret techniques that I learned over the billions of years. What do you think?"
Chu Chen's mouth twitched.
"Secret techniques? You know a lot of them right? Then give me one example."
"I've been suppressed by thousands of restrictive spells. Those memories about the cultivation techniques were naturally sealed away. How can I tell you about them? As long as you let me go and let me eat all the spiritual herbs in this field, those secret techniques will be yours when my restrictions are lifted and memories restored! Come on, my good disciple, what are you waiting for? Kowtow and greet your master."
Chu Chen's brows twitched, struggling to have suppressed his urge to squeeze the little hamster to death. He took out a little box and placed it in front of the hamster.
"What's this?" The hamster curiously moved closer to the box and took a whiff. Its fat face no longer shook around. "Blood pact elixir! Don't feed me that thing! How can I, a ruler of the universe, be subdued by a human and be their pet! Take this away immediately!"
The hamster had been shouting as it waved its little paws wildly. Unfortunately, its paws had been too short, unable to have escaped from Chu Chen's grasp even after all that flailing.
"You actually know that this is the blood pact elixir. That's quite knowledgeable of you." Chu Chen eyed the hamster curiously, whose stomach coincidentally growled. "Look here. I'll give you two options. You can eat this blood pact elixir and be my pet. I'm sure Junior Sister Tong would love a talking hamster. Otherwise, if you refuse to take the elixir, I'll eat you. I've not had meat for quite some time—"
"Don't be like that!" Hearing that, the little hamster was scared witless. "I'm very fat. My body is oily and the texture is bad. I'm also a carrier of a plethora of diseases, sour and bitter. It's better that you just let me go—"
"Eat, or be eaten by me." Chu Chen steeled his expression and stared at the pitiful hamster. His gaze had been one of a hungry wolf.
"Little Hero…"
"Eat, or be eaten!" Seeing the little hamster making that ingratiating expression again, Chu Chen decided to ramp up the act. He grabbed the hamster and brought it closer to his mouth. "I'm so hungry. That's it, I'll take a taste—"
"I'll eat it! I'll eat it okay?"
Seeing Chu Chen's wide opened mouth, the hamster could not have helped but let out a sigh, seemingly having resigned itself to its fate. It did not expect to run into a human with the blood pact elixir.
Chu Chen immediately made a prick on his finger and squeezed a drop of blood onto the elixir. The scarlet elixir had been like a sponge, having absorbed all the blood in just an instant. On its surface, a vague golden pattern started appearing.
"There." Chu Chen placed the elixir before the hamster. The hamster looked uninterested. Seeing the scarlet blood pact elixir, its paws subconsciously held onto the elixir. Its beady eyes had actually teared up.
"My child...I'll be gone. From today, the supreme king of beasts would be a slave for a human...don't feel sad for me. With my wisdom and intelligence, I won't let myself be harmed by this small matter. One day, I shall—"
Seeing the hamster having rambled on while having held onto the elixir, Chu Chen grew impatient. When its mouth was open, Chu Chen took the opportunity to shove the elixir into its mouth.
"Cough cough cough...are you trying to f*cking choke me to death!?" The hamster that had prepared to make a long winded speech had been choked by the sudden squeeze.
However, the elixir melted the moment it entered its mouth and did not cause it to suffer much. Very soon, a layer of reddish glow shimmered between the little hamster's white fur and a series of light golden colored patterns appeared on its body.
"Sob sob sob...I've finally fallen to such a state…"
Seeing the blood pact elixir's power spreading throughout its body, the little hamster broke into tears. "Back then, I ruled over heaven and earth…" All the while, the little hamster dropped to the floor and tried to run away.
"Where are you going?" Chu Chen looked at the little hamster, asking curiously.
"What else can I do? What do you want me to do? I've already eaten the blood pact elixir. What else do you want?" The little hamster looked at Chu Chen. Its expression had clearly been dispirited, as though a wife that had been bullied. "If you don't nurture me properly with elixirs in the future, I'll never let you go even in death! I need to settle some matters now and will come back for you after that!" Saying that, it disappeared into the darkness angrily.
'This hamster has quite the personality.'
Chu Chen helplessly rubbed his nose. Ever since the little hamster ate the blood pact elixir, an extra awareness suddenly appeared in his mind. He vaguely felt the little hamster's location and controlled its current state. It felt as though he could have easily caused its soul to dissipate with just a thought.
'Alright, I think my junior sister will love this interesting hamster.'
However, Chu Chen had been more concerned about the little hamster's secret. It was obviously no ordinary hamster. Maybe it could have brought him more surprises in the future.
Chu Chen took a stretch. After the whole night's ordeal, he felt really hungry. Just as he was about to find something to eat, he felt a weird sensation in his soul.
It had been the mysterious eaglet clone of his!
It turned out that the hunger had been from the eaglet instead. He had been busy with the herb garden for the past few days and paid no attention to the eaglet. The eaglet had been the key for him to explore the Black Fog Valley!
Putting all else aside, having entered the Black Fog Valley to obtain the sect founder's Ring of Green Fortune Emperor was his first goal. He needed to have this eaglet grow quickly in order to have continued exploring the Black Fog Valley.


Due to a miraculous encounter, a Roc that was bigger than a mountain became a clone for the teenager, Chu Chen. Ever since then, he obtained the key to enter the divine tomb. Within the tomb is an immortal lady sealed inside a jade casket with ice. Inside it were countless immortal treasures, elixirs, magical tools, and so on, free for the taking!








Danny came downstairs silent as usual. Every morning since his father left was the same: I would wake up early, make us breakfast and call him exactly once. We would eat together and, despite my efforts to make a conversation, my son would just shake his head yes or no. Then I would kiss his head goodbye and he would leave to take the bus to school.

"I was thinking of getting another hamster" I said, munching on my toast. "To keep Barney company".

Barney was our tuxie hamster. Ever since Danny was little he wanted a hamster, but his father liked cats better, and I wasn't much into pets. We knew we would have to take care of the pet for him. However, after seeing my boy down and awfully quiet for a few weeks, I decided to adopt a hamster to make our home joyous again.

Barney was actually a girl, but the vet just found it out after me and the hamster were used to the name, so I didn't change it.

I easily learned to love my hamster, and Danny seemed at least a little excited about having a pet of his own, but Barney systematically ignored him. I heard of pets ignoring people but this was insane. It was like he wasn't even there.

So I decided to adopt a second kitten mostly to give Danny a pet who gives a fuck.

He agreed with his head and a half-smile that made my day. Then he finished his pancakes, got up and sheepishly leaned in my direction so I would kiss his forehead.

13 is usually a terrible age, but my Danny is such a good boy. If keeping to himself is his way of coping with a broken family, so be it. I had a happy adolescence and by the same age I was already looting my parents and older brother beer; my boy deserved some peace and quiet.

After Danny left to school, I quickly cleaned up and went to my small office. Barney followed me, like she always did when we were home alone.

We live a pretty average life. My house is not small or old, but it's not beautiful either. It's a boring house for a boring untalkative family. I'm doing fine and making decent money as a ghost-writer, but I usually write about the most tedious topics.

I spent all the morning writing without interruptions, made myself a sandwich, made another for Danny and put it in the fridge, then wrote some more. Around 2:30 pm I decided to take a break for grocery shopping.

I'm not a people person but, when you work home alone every day and the only one living with you hasn't spoken a word in eight months, you feel relieved when a familiar face comes your way.

The face belonged to Gloria, the grocery shop manager. She was a motherly older Latina lady, and found me in the snacks corridor.

"Hi, Diana my honeypie", her voice always sounded like singing, and she was always gleeful.

"Hello, Gloria", I smiled back, holding a pack of cookies, "those are Danny's favorite".

"Diana, sweetie", her smile faltered and her chubby face showed genuine concern. "I want you to know that, if you're not holding on, it's ok. You can seek help. Family therapists are great and I happen to know--"

"I appreciate your concern, Gloria. I really do. I will think about it, okay?"

She smiled again and left to talk to another customer.

I knew Gloria meant well, but I couldn't help but feel invaded. I probably mentioned in the grocery store that my husband moved away back when I was a mess about it, although I don't remember.

Going back home, a street I usually take was closed, so I had to turn in the next one possible. I slowed down to turn on my GPS and then I saw it.

It was a huge variety store, announcing big discounts on camping supplies.

I remembered that teenage boys usually love camping, and figured it could be a nice way to reconnect with my son. Hey, mom can be cool and do boys stuff too.

With the help of a very freckled and gentle salesman, I bought all the basics and went home humming happily. I unloaded the car, took the second sandwich from the fridge and went upstairs. By that time, Danny should already be home.

He was in his room, quietly playing videogames. Gloria was right. Maybe we both should go to a therapist. It's not normal to never speak at his age. Maybe I should ask people if he is like that at school. He never had any friends over, so I'll talk to a teacher next week.

Dammit, this is so obvious. It should have occurred to me sooner. But, honestly, I never was the most attentive mother. His father used to take care of this stuff. I miss him sometimes. They were closer than I'll ever be to Danny.

"Hey, baby, I brought you a sandwich", Danny nodded and I kept on talking "You know, I was thinking we could go to a camping trip this weekend. Then the next week we'll adopt our second hamster".

Danny agreed. His face was indecipherable. I wish I could say he was happy, but I didn't know. I never pressured him to talk, but I couldn't help but sigh and say "I wish you would talk to me again someday".

Little did I know that he would, but I wouldn't like it.

I learned from Google what I should do to set up the tent and make a fire, and then discovered there was a small forest nearby where we could go. It had security cabins in three points so, if someone needed help, they wouldn't be on their own.

I didn't buy a lantern because I knew we had at least three at home. It should be in the unused room, with all the stuff my ex-husband owned but didn't take. I opened the door and found something I didn't expect.

It wasn't any unused room. It was a nursery, all decorated for a baby girl. The crib, the toys, everything was new, but covered in a thick layer of dust.

Am I forgetting something important?

Everyone were surprised at Ye Song when they saw him smashed the table  and cursed the instructor. They can't believe that someone was brave enough to disrespect the officials of Everest Town.
The moment they saw the table was smashed, they all have one thing in mind.

"He's done".

No one was dumb enough to do what he did to the officers of Everest Town because they need the ration that was given daily to survive. If you are banned from the ration, you need to find your own food. with how dangerous this world has become, you might encounter monsters while looking for food, the most likely to happen was, you will die miserable.

Because of this reason, no one dared to offend the officials of Everest.

The Instructor was still glaring at him and coldly said.

"Nobody force you to join here! You came here because you want to be Chosen!"

"Why are you acting like this now? you came here because you wanted a comfortable life too, am I right?".

"What's with this bullshit you are trying to say now?" The instructor reprimanded him.

Ye Song coldly laughed when he heard this.

"Yup, You're right. Before, I wanted to be a Chosen because I want change my life and the life of my family. But after I heard what you said, I've change my mind".

"I don't want to join anymore!".
 
Ye Song continued to stare coldly at the instructor and said.

"You should be thankful that you're not a monster, you are very lucky that you're not a monster..."

"I will spare your pathetic life just for the face of humanity. If humanity were not declining, you're no longer be standing in front of me!"


The Instructor laughed out loud when he heard what Ye Song said. he laugh till tears came out.
It was the most ridiculous thing he ever heard in his entire life.

"Ye Song right? okay, thank you for sparing me.... hahahaha!"

"Oh..... By the way, You and your family are banned from the ration from now on!".

"Good luck hunting food! hahahaha!".

The Instructor said while laughing at him.

Ye Song didn't bother talking to him anymore and walk away.. It's not worth his time to continue arguing with an idiot.

"Be sure to remember his face and tell every guards that he was banned from the ration. Fucking Kid who only knew how to be invisible, still have the guts to talk big in front of me".

The Instructor continued to throw insults as Ye Song was walking out of the building.

When Tango saw Ye Song coming out of the building, he was confused. he asked.

"What happened? Is the test done?"
"No, I changed my mind. I'm not joining the freedom guild".

Tango was shocked when he heard Ye Song. he couldn't believe this kid don't want to be a Chosen.

"We do not have the same point of view of the Instructor so I left. I do not agree with his Ideal".
"I see, what are you gonna do now kid?".
"I don't know, I need to go home first and tell my family we can't get any ration from now on".
"You're banned from the ration?"
Ye Song just nod and keep walking. 

While dumbfounded, Tango heard Ye Song spoke.

"Thanks for helping me...".

Tango did not say anything and just looked at Ye Song with a complex look.

When Ye Song arrived at his home, he hesitated for a bit before finally made up his mind.
He then told his mom all the things happened to him. when he became evolved, him rejecting being a Chosen and getting banned from the ration. he told his mom all of it.

Yuna was shocked but when he saw his son feeling guilty. she smiled and told him.

"It's alright, I know you have a good reason why you did that. Everything you do, I will support you..".

Ye Song's eyes turned red when he heard it, he felt warmth in his heart. He replied.

"Thank you mom, I just can't do it. I can't abandon the people who helped us in the past. They helped us when we have nothing and If I accepted the condition for being Chosen, I will look down on myself for not knowing how to repay favors. I will protect this place in return, I will think of a way to get food and find a more suitable place to live to help the villagers have a better life".

After solving the situation on his mom.

Ye Song returned to the forest where he left Ahoka to continue raising his level. he was a bit worried if something happened to that fat belly hamster. he looked around the forest and after a while, he heard a noise, he walked towards the noise and heard someone was singing.

He approached to see who was singing, when he saw who it was, he was surprised and couldn't close his mouth for a long time ...

He saw a big hamster and four penguins, singing.

"I'm beginning to feel like a Rat God"
"Rat God!"
"All my people from the front to the back nod"
"En!" (nodding) En!" (nodding)".
The penguins were responding in unison while the big hamster was singing.

The four penguins look like trained soldiers based on their posture, their bodies had white and dark green color instead of usual white and black color that penguins had.

Their whole front were white while their backs were covered in dark green. and they stood in a row while looking at the big hamster singing.

"Ahoka?" (Japanese: Are you an idiot?)

"Hmm? Master!" Ahoka turned around to looked who called him, when he saw Ye Song, he jumped happily and walked towards him, whereas the four penguins followed behind

"Did you call me master?".
"Ahoka?" (Japanese: Are you an idiot?).
"Yes master!".

He looked at the fat belly hamster who's body was wiggling in front of him and began to have headache.

He tried to forget what he just heard earlier and used [Inspect] to see his status.

Ahoka stood up and made a proud face after what he said. his cheeks were bulging like a chipmunk and his fat belly was completely exposed when he stand up. he was satisfied with his accomplishment and wanted his master to give him compliment for completing the task he assigned.

"Level 20 only and you're already this cocky."

He was looking at the fat belly hamster in front of him, when he noticed the four unusual penguins standing in a row beside Ahoka. he took a closer look at them.

Ahoka, noticing Ye Song's gaze on the penguins, he happily said.

"Master! these are my followers!".

Ye Song was shocked when he heard what the fat belly hamster said. he was still in a daze when he heard one of the penguin with a sly face spoke.

"Greetings, Human. I am Kuchi the Leader of the Penguin Commandos".

Kuchi raised his flipper-like wings and offer a handshake to Ye Song.

Ye Song easily accepted the handshake and said while in a daze.

"Y-Yeah, Nice to meet you.. E-Eh?!, what is Penguin Commandos?".
"Penguin Commandos are a unit of soldiers specially trained to carry out raids".
"Raids?!?!"

Ye Song couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Soldiers specially trained to carry out raids? what the fuck!" he thought to himself.

He then looked at the other three penguins.

One has a smart look on his face, you can tell that he was the brain of the group.

One was cute and cuddly, making feel like you want to bring it back home.

And the last one looked like a terrorist, he had grenades around his body.

The four have many similarities, even the color of their feathers which is white and dark green are the same except their faces.

When Kuchi saw the gaze of Ye Song focused on the three penguins, he introduced them to him.

"These are my subordinates, Human."

"The Smart looking one is Richi, He is in charge of our tactics when raiding".
"Hello, according to my calculations you are a one big pervert".
"The one that looked like a terrorist is Hachi".
"Me boom! Me Likey!".
"And the last is Pochi, well.... He is in charge of cuteness".
"Teehee! :P ".

Ye Song was dumbfounded. He didn't expect the fat belly hamster to get a follower.

"Hey guys, He is my master so if you are my follower, you need to acknowledge him as your master!".
"That's simple, I hereby declare my resignation to be a leader and offer my loyalty to you. Listen men! from now on, we will follow this human!".
"Aye aye, Sir!" the other penguins responded.

Then, they walked towards Ye Song and saluted.

"Subordinate greets Master!".
"Eh? That's it?".
"Of course not master, we need to establish a connection to make sure we will be loyal only to you from now on!".
Ye Song was still confused how did this happened.
"How did you meet Ahoka?"
"Ehem! let me tell you master!". Ahoka cut in and cleared his throat.

"Last night, I was battling with so many monsters, I fought them all with ease and relax attitude. They were fascinated because of my graceful and overwhelming strength and decided to follow me from then on".
"TELL THE TRUTH!!".
"I've known them on the Monster World and they heard that I came down to Earth so they follow me here to play because they are bored. I just coincidentally saw them here in the forest so we decided to hang out".

Ye Song was having a headache. with just Ahoka, he was already close to being crazy. If these four idiots joined, there will be more headaches from now on.


Seeing the distress look of Ye Song, Kuchi, who was the leader of Penguin Commandos said.

"You don't need to worry about our food, Master. We are trained to live in wilderness. just this simple task, you don't have to worry about it. Come, Let's establish the connection".

After Kuchi said that, there's a tiny dot light came out of his body. the same thing was happening to the other penguins. the tiny dots float around Ye Song and entered his head after.

YeSong was surprised when he saw the four penguins had high levels. 
They will be helpful to him when he hunt monsters. 
He literally don't need to do anything. 
He will let them do the killing and he will still get the experience from this. 
When he thought of this, he was elated.

While he was immersed in joy, Ahoka asked him a question.

"What happened to the test, Master? did you passed?".
"No, the Instructor and I doesn't share the same point of view so I left and didn't took the test".
"Oh, I see...well, this is more better than live alongside the hypocrites inside the town".

The four commandos were curious about what they were talking, so they inquire about it. when they learn what it was, Kuchi suddenly spoke.
"Can I give a suggestion Master?".
"Go ahead".
"Uhmm, why don't you just build your own?".
"Build what?"
"Why don't you just build your own town for the people living outside the Everest?".

When Ye Song heard this, a sudden idea flashed in his mind..

He smiled and said.

"You know what, that's a good idea....".

Monsters from another world invaded Earth.

The Humanity fought back but suffered heavy casualties instead. 

They have only a small part of Earth to live.

Before the humanity perishes, the Heaven gave them a chance. 

The humans began to evolve one after another and got strength to defend themselves.

But one person evolved strangely.

Ye Song woke up and saw the monsters invading.

"System, What is my level now?"

"Big brother, this human's cultivation technique is so interesting, have you ever heard of it?" Suddenly, the white furred hamster spoke. It had the voice of an adorable little toddler, and was clearly female.
"I haven't," The black furred hamster was just as immature in his voice. "But this human language is so coarse and foul sounding. Why do you want him to understand us so badly?"
The white furred hamster giggled. "Don't be so mean, big brother. We've roamed the cosmos for millions of years to accumulate enough Primordial Energy to hatch. I'm certain we've never seen another human more intelligent than him. At most, we've only seen his equals."
Dyon raised an eyebrow. People as intelligent as he was? Other than Clara, who could boast such a thing?
The black furred hamster laughed at Dyon's reaction. "I like him, he's just as arrogant as we are. But the difference is we know the heights of the heavens, while he doesn't. His arrogance is blind while ours is deserved."
"Following him would at least be more interesting than wondering about randomly, don't you think?"
"We should at least test him first. We've only followed him for two weeks. He spent one of those weeks sleeping, and the other doing those unholy actions." The black furred hamster sounded like a disappointed elder, but the immaturity in his voice almost made Dyon burst out with laughter.
The little white hamster seemed to blush. "Don't say those things big brother. What would you do if mother heard you?"
The black furred hamster's nose twitched. "I didn't sense this before, but this one has the blood line of another ancient Celestial within him."
Hearing her brother's words, the little sister obliged, sniffing as well. "Oo, the Celestial Deer.
"If a race that was once our equal so happily gave him their blood essence, he can't be so bad, right?"
"That was long ago," The black furred hamster replied. "From what I can tell, their bloodline has degenerated quite a bit to this point. It's hardly 0.0001% as potent as it once was. To gain the approval of them now isn't too big a deal."
"To think they once used to make fun of us for our poor reproduction abilities. Clearly, being able to reproduce quicker has its downsides."
"It couldn't be said that the reproductive abilities of the Celestial Deer were vastly greater than ours, but rather that it became easier for them to reproduce as their bloodline declined."
Dyon listened intently from beginning to end, making certain to not miss a single word. As for his wives, they sat silently seeing the concentration on their husband's face.
"Hm?" The white hamster suddenly looked around. "Big brother look! That must be the source of the Life Essence that sped up our birth last week. It seems to be a piece of the Holy Arc!"
The black furred hamster's white eyes adorably blinked in astonishment, however he quickly calmed down. "This piece is just from a bit of furniture. Now if it had been from the hull of the vessel, that would truly be something extraordinary. Even if it was a hundredth of the size of the visor, it would be thousands of times more valuable."
"To think that a mere piece of furniture would still house such pure energy within it. It's no wonder…" The little sister hamster spoke up.
"Hey you," The Big brother hamster suddenly turned to Dyon who was still focused on them. "We've been speaking in your language out of courtesy this whole time. Don't you have anything to say to us?
"Burning questions? Clearing up any misunderstandings? Begging us to become your companions? Anything aside from that focused expression would do."
Dyon smiled, "Why would I interrupt two babies getting to know the world for the first time? That would be rude of me."
"Hmph, who are you calling babies?! I've had my consciousness awakened for millions of years already. Just because I didn't have enough strength to break free of our shell, doesn't mean I'm wet behind the ears."
Dyon's only response was to lay both hamsters on his knees and pet them. "I know an old man at least tens of millions of years old, and yet I still don't treat him all that specially. Why would I treat two newborns any better?"
The white furred hamster giggled. "He's funny big brother. He didn't start begging like you assumed."
"Hmph. We're going to test you now to see if you're worthy of us following you for a bit. Consider this opportunity a thank you for speeding up out birthing process. After our mother left, we didn't think we'd be born so soon."
"Isn't that exactly why such a test is useless?" Dyon responded with a smile.
"Useless?"
"Of course. You two need Primordial Energy to fully mature, while I have the densest source of it in these times. Isn't a test added on top of this kind of useless?"
"What you say make sense Giant brother." The white furred hamster interjected. "But we have a tradition of finding masters worth before settling down. Choosing based on benefits is against our ancient codes.
"While the ancient dragons were the embodiment of sovereignty, and ancient celestial deer were the embodiments of purity, and ancient kitsune embodied the elements and their mischief, we celestial hamsters are the embodiment of knowledge and its pursuit. Our reason for existing isn't to rule the world, but to raise those who rule it!"

Rosey arrived at her house, she pulled over, into a garage and turned off the engine.
"What is this place? Your meditation room?"Acker asked eyeing the place.

"No...it's where I keep my car"Rosey dryly said.
"You mean the moving box,I has it's own house? "Acker sharply cut in.
"Let's get in and settle down"Rosey said.

Acker was astonished by the sophistication of the inner house, the decor and style showcased modernity.

The inside was incredibly cool,it made Acker shiver.
"It's like am bathing in an ice river"Acker said.
"You'll get used to it, it's called an air con"she said.

He nodded, shivering.
"Where shall I be lodging?"he asked.
"Um..room...room.."Rosey muttered her eyes trailing about the rooms.

"Take that one"she said pointing to a room upstairs.
"Well...is that the best possible room that I can have?"he asked her, still looking at the room.

"Yes, it's far from mine which makes it perfect!"Rosey said.
"Should both our bedrooms not be within close proximity?"Acker confusedly asked.

Rosey's cheeks burned at that question.
"No! You stay there, I'll stay here, go shower and I'll go get us something cooking"Rosey said.

She watched him stand there, looking agitated, she noticed he still had those awkward trousers.

"Freshen up and we'll go shopping!"Rosey said gleefully.
He kept on looking at the room upstairs, focusing his gaze on the stairs.

Acker seemed distant and a thought flashed through her mind.

"Acker..."she called out.
"Yes Rosey"he faintly said.

"Excuse me, but are you whining that the room is too far away?"she asked trying not to smile.
Acker froze.
"Are you actually having a lazy moment?"she asked a smile spreading across her face.

"Am a blood flower, I do not get lazy"he said and started to mount the stairs.
"You also do not get humble"she muttered loud enough to be heard.

"I'd appreciate it if you do not talk about me so loosely"he said.
Rosey put up her hands in surrender.
"See you in twenty"she said.
"Twenty what?"he asked looking confused.
She face palmed and chuckled while walking to the kitchen.

"He's been taking quite a long time in there, I should go check up on him"Rosey thought, dinner was getting cold.

She walked up to his bedroom and knocked on it.
"Acker! Are you alright in there?"she asked.
No response.
She knocked again, but he didn't reply.

"Should I go in? He might have hurt himself, I should go check up on him"she thought.
She opened the door, the sight she saw made her gasp.

Acker held the book in his hand, and he tried to use it to shoo away a hamster.
Her Hamster.
"Get away from him!"Rosey called out. Her loud scream made Acker jump, and land hard on the floor.

She rushed towards the petrified hamster on the table.

"General Fluffs, are you alright?"she asked, holding him carefully.
She planted kisses on his nose, petting his fur, gently stroking it.

"That's my brave boy...good good boy, mommy loves you"Rosey said.
She felt a stare on her and tilted her head to the side to see Acker beside her, arms crossed.

"I take it that this creature is under your government?"he asked.
"You sound British for a monk"She said, blowing off the topic.

"I grew up with Monks, never said I was one"he said.
She grew intrigued with his background.
"He's not a creature, this is my pet"she said holding him closer to his face.

"General Fluffs"she proudly said.
"Charmed to meet my acquaintance am sure"Acker said sounding disinterested.

"Don't mind the grumpy man, we should go get you a bath"She said.
"I hope you don't have the misconception that you can actually communicate with that... General Fluffs"Acker said.

Rosey rolled her eyes.
"Dinner is getting cold, how come you haven't had a bath yet?"she asked, still holding the hamster.

"I was just coming to you, but I got attacked by your general, I have no clue on how to make myself clean, there is no river here"he complained.

"You sure aren't so bright, for a blood flower anyways, let me show you how the people of my time, get clean"she said and went into the bathroom.

He scoffed, but reluctantly followed.
She turned on the shower, Acker jumped in fright at the water than ran out, he steadied himself and took some steps forward.

"Is this....You people can make rain?"he asked with wide eyed excitement.
"Yes, we don't even have to cast spells for this"she said, humouring herself.

"You must teach me this technique! How can such simple minded people pull off such a huge breakthrough..."

"You're so precious when you talk like that!"Rosey said grinning from ear to ear.
"Shower and I'll see you downstairs, there is something you can wear in the closet"she said.
She left the bathroom holding her pet.

"Wait, can I ask a question?"Acker asked her before she left the room.
She nodded.

"Why do you have Male clothing?"he asked looking puzzled.
She gulped hard.
"Let's just say that.... every now and then I have guests over"she said slyly.
Trying not to grin too much.
"Who leave their clothing behind?"he asked raising a brow.

He looked undeniably cute doing that, it made Rosey smile goofily.
"I'll order Pizza, dinner's already stone cold by now"she said and hurriedly let herself out of the room.

Lily stayed with Lucy till she slept off, she refused to leave her side, one she had never been allowed to see her mother often.
Her father monitored her movements.
And two, she was enjoy stealing glances at a certain medical practitioner.

Once it was late, she decided to head home, but not without getting herself a drink.
She got in her car, and whipped out her phone.
"Am on my way already!"she said excitedly over the phone.

"Driver take me to the same club as the last"she said, not looking at the driver.
"Yes, I am of legal age now! So I say let's not hold back"she said laughing into the phone.

"See you in ten"
"You're going to bed"she heard from the driver's seat.
A voice too familiar not to be recognized, her heart skipped a beat.

"Hell! You scared the hell out of me!"
"Language!"Daniel cautioned.
"Why are you in my car? Not that it isn't a turn on, or that am complaining...but why?"she asked.

Daniel ignored that statement from her and started driving away.
"You're so selfish at times"he said.
"Me? Selfish?"she asked looking genuinely offended.
"Your mother is recovering and you deem it fit to find comfort in alcohol?"he asked.

"Sorry Dad..., But you don't get to run my life, so unless you're my designated driver, you'd best get out of my car"Lily said.
"Rosey is busy trying to...."

"Can you not drown my ears with that name? Rosey this! Rosey that! Come-on! Just pull over!"she said sharply and sternly.

Daniel kept quiet and kept on driving.

"What the hell!"she yelled.
"You still have to go to college, you can't risk waking up with a hangover, what would your father think?"he asked.

"Anything you want him to think, you already have him eating out of your hand anyways"she muttured.

"If I were you, I'd stay on my good side"Daniel said teasingly.
"I'd like to stay on your naughty side instead"she said in a seductive tone.
"I don't mind not going to the club, I could spend the night here with you instead"she said and winked.

"What did she tell you?"Daniel asked killing the mood.
Lily knew whom he was referring to, and rested her head against the car seat.

"She asked for Rosey's address"Lily said.
"And..."Daniel said urging her to continue.
Lily sighed in defeat.
"I gave it to her"

He conjured up a spell, but he was too old, and the forces outside were too prevailing.

"Take him away from here!"the man shouted, barely being able to push the raging power from the outside.

Rosey Red was a very headstrong archeologist who along with her team set out to an old abandoned temple in search of a mythological artifacts.

The team and her scavenge for whatever might have survived the horrible outcome of the assumed fight.

Rosey and her team find the plant, though huger than their ecpectates.
But finding the plant was not the only thing that Rosey found.

"Who are you!"Rosey questioned, across her was a man she had dressed in green sweatpants.
The man was still adjusting to the bright light in the room.

"I asked you a question!"She repeated.
"Where am I? How did you get here?"he asked.
"I should be asking you that! You're the one I found in a plant!"

"What is that abomination!"
"What this? It's just a burger. Here try it"Rosey said and offered it to him.

He sniffed it, and eyed it.
"What do you people put in this...burger?"He asked.
"Just Meat, buns, ketchup, Lettuce..."
"Lettuce!"he said almost yelling, grabbing everyone's attention.

         
        A couple more minutes of silence pass by until we see a police car drive its way past our two beat up cars and towards the bench where Andrew and I are awkwardly sitting.

  The two officers get out of their car and make their way towards the two of us, pulling a pen and a notepad out of their pockets. 

"Hello Mr and Ms . . .," one of the officers says before stopping mid-sentence at the sight of Andrew. 
"Hello, Officer Hererra and Officer Perez. Surprising evening isn't it?" Andrew says casually with a smirk.

     I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and look between the officers and Andrew.

 Excuse me. What?
"Indeed . . . this is quite the surprise Chief," Officer Perez says while fixing his police hat and clearing his throat. 

  Wait wait wait, what. Did this officer guy just call Andrew 'Chief'? Hah. What a surprise. I swear he looks like . . . a businessman. I don't know! Just his looks, the way he dresses and his handsome figure give off a rich look! Lord, when did I become so judgemental?

    Officer Hererra turns to me while Officer Perez questions Andrew about the situation, more like chatting actually.

"Hello Ms. . . .," Hererra says, stopping to look at me.

"It's Ms. Dawn. Rozelle Dawn," I say with a small smile.

A few seconds pass by while the officer writes things down on his notepad, glancing back and forth between his notepad and both of my eyes. 
Ugh, I should be used to this by now. They probably think I'm a freak or whatnot, whatever, I have no say to think about what they're thinking.
I guess I just . . . can't help but feel one bit ashamed.
"Ok, uh . . . I'm just going to ask you a few questions about your information, like your date of birth, age, occupation, et cetera," the officer says with a questionable hesitation, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Ok sure," I mumble while glancing at Andrew while he talks to officer Perez.

    After all the questioning, Andrew offers to call a tow truck to take both of our cars to the repair shop. 
    "Thanks Andrew," I mumble, avoiding any eye contact with him.
"No problem Rose," 

I notice Andrew looking at his watch while looking up at the night sky.
" . . . it's almost midnight, I have to check on my hamster. She's probably going to be so mad at me once I get home," He sighs with a concerned look on his face.
Oh my gosh . . . it's almost midnight! My sleeping schedule is going to be messed up dammit, and I have so much f****** work to do! 

Wait . . . did he just say he has a hamster? 
"Oh, I didn't think you were the kind of person that would own a pet . . . ," I say while looking out into the road.  
I mean . . . it's true, he doesn't look like the type that would own a pet . . . especially a hamster. If he would own a pet, I would think that it would be a big dog like a  Great Dane or a K9. 
    Of course, there is no such thing as a 'type' of a person, but I just can't get that thought out of my head . . . a hamster and a tall muscular handsome man that most likely has a 6 pack . . . omg, maybe even an 8 pack! I blush at the thought of an 8 pack on Andrew. Damn, What the heck is wrong with me!
   Damn . . . now that I think of it, that hamster must be lucky. 

"Yep. Got a little Hamster named Princess Leia. How about you? Do you have any pets? Andrew says breaking me off from my ridiculous thoughts.
"Yes I do, I have a 5 week old pomsky, his name is Chewie. He's so feisty and energetic, makes me happy whenever I see him up early just to wake me up," I say as Andrew nods. 
"Sounds really sweet. Also, do you mind if  I drop you off?" He blurted out. 
Did he just-. . .
  My body froze at his question. What kind of guy asks a lady that he just met in a car crash to drop her off.
   I mean, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have bad intentions . . . but you can never be too sure. There are police officers and plus Andrew is the chief. 

    I debate whether I should let this handsome guy drop me off or not. Well, I do think that his question was stupid, but of course,

 I can't help but say yes.


I'm just a normal 26 year old grown woman, who works as a popular designer. Everyone thinks I'm pretty until they've seen my eyes. That's how it's been since I was a kid.
As a child growing up in London with noticable heterchromia, I was mostly casted out of friend groups, that is until I moved to the states at the age of 8. 

I found friends in highschool that were really loyal and kind, I even met a guy that I dated, but turns out I was just so naive. I couldent see that he was cheating on me. 

I learned my lesson though.

After the familiar darkness, Xia Yu saw the black piano again.
The girl was waiting for him, having figured out the usual time he arrived.
"You're back!" An Siyao greeted him.
"Hm," Xia Yu answered casually and opened the lid of the piano. He began practicing the Gulda piece.
This song was very difficult for beginners. It was great for building skills and could be used to train one's piano techniques in all areas.
According to An Siyao, this song was considered a first teacher by many pianists.
After he played the first part smoothly, he reached part 2. When his fingers shook, he pressed one key early, instantly messing up the song, then more mistakes happened.
He stopped, tried to calm down, then continued to practice.
Playing without familiarity meant he remembered the order of keys, but a piano melody needed more than mechanical repetitions; one needed to control, and sometimes master, the rhythm.
After seven hours, Xia Yu could finish playing part 2. Part 3 was completely different from the first two parts and more difficult.
It was a challenge, but it would be at most, two more days before Xia Yu could play part 3. After he spent one more day practicing the whole melody, he could finish his studies for this Gulda piece.

He checked the time. It would be two a.m. in 10 minutes. Xia Yu chatted with An Siyao.
"Do you really like playing the piano?" An Siyao asked.

"Then, why are you practicing piano with my body?" An Siyao was confused.

"Right. You said that the housekeeping chief would be back soon. When is that?" Xia Yu asked.
Xia Yu could tell the housekeeping chief was the biggest boss in this mansion. It was critical that he learned when the battle with the boss would begin.
"Auntie Dong would be back the day after tomorrow," An Siyao answered.
"Is she very difficult?" Xia Yu inquired.
"Yes, probably." An Siyao had never tested the woman's level of difficulty, so she couldn't answer precisely.
"Tell me more about your family." Xia Yu checked the time again. With five minutes left, there should be enough time to hear the story.
An Siyao was silent for 10 seconds before she began talking.
Xia Yu figured out An Siyao's situation from her words.
After An Siyao's mother passed away, her father did nothing but work, leaving her alone in this mansion. Starting at five-years-old, her caretaker was this housekeeping chief known as Auntie Dong.

The high school he went to, Zilang High School Number Three, was just an ordinary public school. The classes were far easier than in a private school. Using what he already knew from his past life, he just needed to study a little bit before getting a top-five score on the test.
At seven a.m., he left his home for the flea market and the walking street, easily locating a hamster vendor.

Such as the fact that every night, he went inside his room as soon as he got home and locked the door.
As a good sister, she didn't want to pry.
After breakfast, Xia Yu went to school. When he got home at night, he rushed to lock his door and enter the black cat's body.
The black cat, lying on the window sill, stood up.
Controlling the black cat's body, Xia Yu gingerly hopped from the window sill to the desk, then to the chair, and finally, to the floor.
