He was daring before Raelle, she couldn't do the same. If she tried to follow in his footsteps, her steps might falter and she'd end up in her own grave; face flat! 
As she left Raelle's office, a ringtone rang out in the silent office where only the sound of typing could be heard earlier. Raelle looked at the phone screen and picked up the call before putting it on speaker.
"Elle, are you home?" came Mu Chenyan's sweet and gentle voice.
Raelle replied honestly, "No. I've to finalize somethings so I'm still in the office. Why?"
"Didn't I tell you to stop working overtime?" Mu Chenyan's voice wasn't as sweet or gentle this time around.
"Yeah. And I did as you said. But now, you're not waiting for me at home," said Raelle plainly. "So, why should I go home early?"
Mu Chenyan rubbed her forehead and groaned, "Elle... My dear Elle... This..." She really didn't know what to say to her now. "Even if I'm not waiting for you at home, what about your husband?"
Raelle's fingers stopped typing as she asked, "Are you saying that my husband is waiting for me at home?"
"No, I'm saying that to build a relationship, both husband and wife need to make time for each other. Especially in your case, the more you'll spend time with Xian, the more you'll be able to understand him. If you'll give him the importance, he'll also do it for you." Walking past Cloe's cabin, she asked, "Cloe, want to have fun?"
Cloe shuddered just hearing that question. What was the idea of fun for Raelle Xiang? She knew it very well! In fact, she knew it so well that she never wanted to have any kind of fun with her boss. Someone always got sacked whenever she wished to have fun. And not in a good way.
Just thinking about Raelle's past history with the word, 'Fun', she instinctively shook her head.
Raelle shrugged her shoulders and said, "Then you can work overtime. I'm going home. Enjoy yourself."
Cloe fell off her chair before she stumbled up as she cried out, "No! Chief, I want to have fun! I do. I want to have all the fun."
Raelle stepped closer to her and gave her a look, "You should know I don't offer the same thing twice." Cloe's face fell as she went on, "So, have fun working now." She even had the time to wave goodbye to Cloe as she got into the elevator making the poor girl want to puke blood right now.
Cloe placed her hand on the wall and hit her head against it as she rebuked herself, "Idiot, Cloe! What did you do? You ruined your own chance to go home early! Argh!"
However, as soon as she came back to her desk, she found a sticky note that said, 'After emailing me the meeting minutes, go home!'
Cloe continued to stare at those words for a long time in silence before a smile graced her lips. She didn't even know when Raelle had placed it here. It must have been when she fell down her chair. She shook her head to herself. This boss of hers was truly out of her understanding.
On the other hand, Raelle got inside the car and her personal chauffeur started up the car. She picked up her phone to see what time it was. It was already 7 o'clock now. She wondered if Xian had come home by now? Since she didn't know about his schedule, it was hard to say if he was back or not.

Seungwoo did a mini facepalm and she just did her best to look as innocent as possible. She tilted her head like a puppy trying to understand her owner's words. Knowing how dangerous the scene might progress, Suji tried to deflect the situation with her innocence.
It had always been handy when it comes to situations like these.
But instead of yielding, Seungwoo did far from it.
As he bent his neck to the left and right, he said, "There is another meaning for home base aside from the thing that you see in baseball that you should know of."
"Really?" Suji faked an enthusiastic response.

"Demonstrating how to achieve home base," Seungwoo simply replied. This time, Suji did not know if her boyfriend was now leading the conversation for them to do it or if he was just playing with her. "It is something fun. I did not know that you were already late knowing about it."
"W-why?" Suji stuttered as she was becoming more nervous about how to change the topic. "Am I missing something if I have not known about it?"
"Yes," Seungwoo emphasized his words that his small eyes went bigger than their original size. "That is right, honey. You are missing something so great not knowing about it."
"Eyy," Suji tried her best to dodge Seungwoo's words. "I could not be missing so much in life just because of it."
"You are missing so much," Seungwoo continued pushing as he continued to look at her in the eye. It was getting more awkward. No, if she was to describe the situation. there was heightened sexual tension in the atmosphere because both of them knew what Seungwoo was aiming for.

This time, Suji realized that she should give up on her innocence and just admit that she knew a lot of things. She was not a fifteen year old woman who should be shy talking about certain things like this, right?
"Yes, you win," Suji exhaled as she closed her eyes. "I knew about it all along. I am not the innocent Suji you knew."
Seungwoo laughed so hard that he leaned away from her. He was even clutching his stomach because he was laughing so hard. Suji just stared at him in disbelief. How exciting and fun could it have been for him to tease her girlfriend like this?
"Aren't you having too much fun in this?" Suji tried to make her facial expression as dull as ever. She was slightly annoyed with how her boyfriend reacted to the situation.
Seungwoo stood up and hugged her from the side, her head leaned over his abdomen and he caressed her hair like a child.  
"It was because I found you adorable, okay?" He said, "You always try to avoid the topic."
"I am just embarrassed, that is all," Suji replied. "Don't you get embarrassed talking about it as well?"
"I get embarrassed, but," Seungwoo trailed off as he snorted. "Not really. I find it more fun to tease you about it."
"Yeah, I could tell you were having so much fun with it," Suji answered with a smirk. "You are having so much fun teasing me."
"Why?" Seungwoo leaned away as he looked at Suji in the eye. "Is it wrong of me to do so? Or were you disappointed that I was just joking around and wanted me to demonstrate to you how to reach home base?"
Suji just sighed in disbelief and slapped her boyfriend's chest using her palms. "You are teasing me again!"
"Why? What is so wrong of it?" Seungwoo asked. "Do you really think that we are just going to have a platonic relationship and kiss each other the most?" He wickedly smiled and raised his brows, "Are you not excited thinking about doing something more together as a couple?"
Doing something more as a couple? Home base? Se----?  
Yeah, right. They are going to do just all of that, right? As a couple?
"Don't worry," Seungwoo reassured Suji. "I won't do it without your permission." He went back to his seat and continued. "I really wanted to travel to a place with just us together. We can visit anywhere in Europe, preferably Italy or Spain. Of course, I won't do it without your permission."

"I should be going now. My mother is definitely worried by now." Rae bowed her head, saying goodbye politely. 
The duke seems to object the parting, but he has no choice. Rae wasn't his. So is Rae. 
"Then off you go.." duke smiled. "But is there someone will see you home?" 
Rae knew that no one will fetch her back home, nor aware that she needed a ride back home. She nodded to go home early and not to raise any questions from duke. 
"Y- yes. Well, that was fun, duke. Goodnight." sprinting away from the duke.

Rae reached the mansion's gate, she found the carriage that has been used by her family. Meaning they had already returned. Rae looked sideways, checking if the guards are still on rounds. When the place was deemed to be quiet and no people around, Rae snucked inside once again. 
The mansion's gate can be easily climbed by someone who has been through a rough training and has excellent skills. Rae easily passed the gates, then climbed the tree beside her room. 
Raeliana successfully returned safely, without being spotted by someone from the mansion. She changed the clothes, cleanse her face and brush her hair— like nothing happened until, 
"Raeliana dear, I hope you had fun?" Lady Mcmillan mother tapping her arms, tucked together. Along with the gesture, she stared with gleaming eyes.  
Although Rae heard her mother's voice, she was scared to look back.  Quivers became an inhabitant in times that Rae has been found out by her mother.    "S- sure it is." Rae averting her gaze. 
"Why don't you look straight dear?" gritting her teeth. "Is there something wrong?"

"Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang"
It was 4 a.m. when I woke up with loud thudding sound from my front door. I was confused about who could be at my door this early in the morning? I went downstairs to check; I was a little afraid about whom might be on the other side of the door? Cautious, I approached the door slowly. I was about to open the door but something inside was telling me to not open the door. I froze at that moment and couldn't move one inch.
"Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang bang"
The thudding on the door was getting louder and louder and with each thud fear was creeping deeply inside me. My heartbeat was so loud then that you can hear it from a distance. Somehow, I gathered my courage and went in front of the door, I tried to peek through the peephole to see who was outside Banging the door so loud. What I saw sent chills down my spine, Alina was standing there expressionless knocking the door continuously. I thought to myself, I knew Alina was not normal. I was cursing myself for the moment when I met her for the first time. I wanted to tell her to go away but words didn't come from my mouth. My legs were paralyzed and I couldn't move at all.
Somehow using my hands, I hid behind the sofa near the door. I was shivering and praying to god so nothing bad happens to me. Suddenly I heard a voice that intensified my fear. It was Alina's Voice.
"Jaret, I have seen you. You are behind the sofa, please open the door."
How did she know I was hiding behind the sofa? I wanted to ask her but I decided to keep my mouth shut. She again spoke.
"Jaret, if you don't open the door how will I come inside?"
Gathering some courage, I responded,
"Alina, why are you here?"
"Jaret you didn't pick up my phone so I was worried. Your phone was switched off so I came to check."
I understand worrying for someone but no sane person will come at 4 am to anybody's house. I had to tell her to go away so I responded.
"Alina, I will talk to you later so please go home now."
���Jaret, let me in one time and after seeing you with my eyes I will go home."
"Alina, this is not the right time. I will meet you later."
"Jaret, we love each other so you should let me in."
I wanted to say it clearly to her, I was mistaken that I am in love with her but the feeling right now I have for her is fear. I didn't say it because I was afraid, she might do something terrible. So, I lied to her.
"Alina, it's true that we love each other but we have our personal lives too so please, go home now."
"Okay Jaret, I am going home but promise me you will meet me later."
"I promise, now please go."
After that, her voice stopped coming but I didn't move from my place at all. Eventually I fell asleep at the very same spot. When I woke it was afternoon already, although I couldn't determine time but judging from the position of the sun, it must be about 2 pm. I am feeling weak and I couldn't determine whether what happened early in the morning was a dream or reality? I wanted to erase this memory from my brain forever. I wanted to share what happened with me with someone but I was afraid if I did share then Alina will try to harm that person. I decided to take a bath and calm my mind.
After the bath I was feeling a little relieved. When I checked my phone, it was still switched off. I thought to myself I should block Alina's phone number first so I did just that after switching on my phone. I liked reading books so I picked up a book and started reading it. After a while my phone started ringing, it was a call from one of my friends so I picked up the phone
"Hi Jaret, We friends have decided something fun, you should come too."
"What fun?"
"You just come to the address that I will send you."
"I don't understand what you are trying to say?"
"Jaret, don't stress on small details. I am sending you the address along with time, please come on time."
"But?"
After that the phone was disconnected. I didn't understand what he meant by fun. Soon after a message came, in it there was an address along with time. The address was of a famous restaurant in the city and the time specified was 5 pm. I thought to myself that I should go there as it will help me get my stress off. It was 2:30 pm so there was still time left till the meeting. I decided to continue reading the book.
At 4:00 pm I started dressing for the alleged fun my friend was talking about. I put on my finest dress and put on the perfume. I was all ready to go. When I stepped outside my home, I felt like someone was watching me. I had a very bad feeling about it. I tried to suppress those feeling and started proceeding to the restaurant where my friends were waiting for me. I boarded a bus which was nearly empty except one or two people. The feeling of being watched was lingering in my heart throughout the journey.
At 4:50 pm I reached the restaurant; my friends were already there waiting for me. When they saw me, they waved towards me. I waved back and went straight towards them. My friends Paul, Jack, Marshall, and Peter were there. Paul was the one who called me this afternoon. So, he started speaking first
"Jaret, so you came Afterall. I thought you wouldn't come."
"Well today I thought why not try your fun thingy. Btw what is this fun you were talking about?"
"My friend, just come inside. You will find out yourself."
I followed him and we came to a private room in the restaurant. I was confused what has this room to do with fun? When my friend opened the door, there were 5 girls our age already sitting there. I got the idea of what Paul meant by fun. This was group dating. Paul asked us to sit opposite to the girls. In a low voice I asked Paul.
"Is this what you meant by fun?"
"Yes, my dear friend. You are correct."
"Are you sure about it."
"You worry too much Jaret."
"Okay, then I will try not to worry."
All of us sat opposite the girls. The girls were beautiful, there were not your average Janes. My friends started talking with the girls but I didn't know what to say. I saw that one girl from their group was staring at me as if inviting me to start talking to her. I had completely forgotten about Alina at this point. I took the initiative to talk to her.
"Hi, my name is Jaret."
"Hello, I am Jennifer."
"Jennifer, that's a nice name."
"Thank you for the compliment."
"By the way Jennifer, in which school is you in?"
"I study at Jenny Girls High School."
"Oh, that is a prestigious high school."
"That's not true."
Like that our conversation became natural and all the awkwardness between us disappeared. I was enjoying talking with Jennifer and conversations were such that it didn't feel like we were meeting for the first time. We ordered foods and non-alcoholic beers for us. The atmosphere was filled with laughers and joys. We danced and we sang as if there is no tomorrow. At the end of the group date all of us exchanges phone numbers with each other.
Like true gentlemen we decided to escort the ladies to their vehicle. Jennifer took my hand in her hand and we proceeded towards the vehicles. When I was outside the restaurant with Jennifer, I noticed a strange person in the hood was standing in a corner. It was like he was looking at was with terrible intentions. I couldn't properly see his face neither do I wanted to argue with him so I ignored him. To be honest I didn't know whether that person was a male or a female.
Reaching the girl's vehicle which was a black sedan, Jennifer kissed on my cheeks and promised me to meet again sometime soon. The black sedan departed, my friends and I waved goodbye at the girls. After this all was over, Paul asked me.
"Jaret, did you have fun?"
"Yes, it was fun. Thank you for inviting me."
"Mention not, we are friends Afterall."
We all separated from the restaurant to go to our homes. I was very relieved at that moment. Only positive thoughts were in my mind. Soon I reached my home, As I was tired from the group date, I fell asleep without many efforts. Tomorrow my parents were going to come back. I didn't know at that moment tomorrow will be a bloody one.

(Jaret met the school beauty Alina during a walk in the evening and next thing he know is taking Alina for a Prom date. Where will this fate lead them and Alina who is unapproachable by other people seems so comfortable with Jaret.)

My friend Ashok finally found his love. The Ashok girlfriend was my girlfriend cousin both of them are their family. Ashok girlfriend name is Sneha Thapa. It was December 3, they meet at school for the first time and taking a photo. And I was having fun with my love walking together was enough for me once a day. I don't really know that she was going to come, really is my friend George call me to just come and was forcing me to come. It was quite fun and I was setting my friend George for his new girlfriend and her new girlfriend was my girlfriend, a small sister. I was laughing when I think that we all like their family and their cousin. It was the 2nd unit we went home together then my girlfriend's father was there in a hotel he saw me walking with I was so scared,but afterwards, I don't feel anything about them to worry. It is too fun to go home together. House sport came and having fun,1st day was so I'll, boring and sad that she didn't come to school cause she was sick. And 2nd and 3rd we sit together again. Our anniversary of November was fun we went to a restaurant together. And I was so happy and say that it was my first time to sit with my girlfriend for the first time, I was so happy that she started the idea for the first time and it was quite fun.

As the night went on Nova and I got drunk

My brother was still off God knows where with Cecelia, I'm glad someone could find some romance.

Though I wish it was me 

"Who do you think will be chosen for the race"

"I'd rather not think about this Nova, I wanna have fun tonight."

"Just because we don't talk about it doesn't mean it isn't are life."

She's definitely drunk and not in the fun way 

"Come on Nova, we will be picked or we won't there's nothing we can do about it, you know that." 

She quickly sweeps away a tear "I'm fine"

"Good, now lets have some fun"

The two of us danced in a drunken haze for hours, Nova smiled and so did I and that's all I wanted for tonight. I just wanted even a moment of joy, uninterrupted by any talk or thoughts of the race.

I pull my drunken brother off of Cecelia's lips 

"Come on lover boy, you can see her tomorrow" 

Nova, Mani and I leave the underground party

The three of us walked are way home, my brother leaned his thin tall body on me for support. Maybe I shouldn't of let him drink so much 

"I still can't believe it"

"Can't believe what Nova?" I ask

"I can't believe you, you marched right up to Trey and told him enough and that's not even the part I can't believe. No I can't believe he actually listened to you"

"He's stubborn and has a major temper, but I think he is smart and I'm starting to believe Allen deserved what he got." 

"Look at you crushing"

"I'll crush y'all" my drunken brother utters

"Oh I know you will" I pat him on the back and his head flops back down. I laugh before continuing "I'm not crushing, I just think maybe there's more to the story."

"Sure" she smiles 

"I don't have time for this, I need to figure out how I'm going to hide this" I look towards my brother "from my mama."

"Yeah you're screwed, not gonna lie"

"Thanks Nova, your great help" I roll my eyes 

We continue walking and I try not to fall over as I practically carry my brother home.

Once we've arrived at Novas home she goes inside 

Mani and I keep walking

"Okay Mani, we're home I need you to wake up"

Nothing, doesn't even flinch 

"Mani please wake up" 

Still nothing 

"Wake up!" I shout as I smack his face 

His eyes leap open "Ouch!" He grabs his face "what the fuck" Mani looks around confused, he doesn't remember how he got home.

"Good morning sunshine, now walk in and go straight to bed without making a sound, got it?"

He nods half asleep 

I open the door and we creep in 

Mani is perfectly quiet, surprisingly he safety makes it to his room closing the door behind him. I tip toe into mine, once in mine I breathe heavily in relief, I went out had fun and my mom has no idea where I was.

"I only wish I'd finally come home without my virginity"

It's pathetic really, at 22 it should be gone, I've tried over and over, but every time something goes wrong. Boys have been uninterested and some have been slightly to interested if you're picking up what I'm throwing down. Honestly it's laughable how hard I've had to try for something that comes so easy to most everyone else.

Once I'm in bed I stare up at my sealing imagining I can see the stars, I soon drift into deep sleep.
