The illustrator delivered the illustration to me around 3 or 4 hours ago., so it was completed fairly recently.
It took me mmmm 7 or 8 tries maybe 9 before I was finally able to get kdp amazon to accept the illustration. I tried 6 or 7 times of those to get it to accept the pdf. In the end, it did not accept the pdf book cover, but I was able to make a workaround and submit the image through the cover creator by uploading the image and delete all text projected over the illustration by the cover creator and wallah only took a 2nd try to get it done after that.
This was for the paperback version mind you, no problems with the ebook on that front. Keep in mind I was just about to go too sleep when the illustrator contacted me and I only recently reverse my schedule back to somewhat normal. It was then that this whole fiasco started.
Now then, the ebook has passed review and is currently publishing which means their setting it up on their sites and apps for amazon, kindle and their various national variations.
The paperback is in review. Both the ebook and paperback should be released around or within 72 hours from what I've been told. I will also get an email when the ebook is published and maybe when the paperback is published not sure.
Next, I noticed when I was reposting the amazon version of the synopsis that the paperback's synopsis was lacking any spaces between sentences which is indeed an issue.
Now I would go ahead and edit the ebook and paperback just so they're more professional, but I tried that, it won't let me edit it right now and the button to do so are greyed out.
That said I do want to edit the synopsis of the two books so they're not a mess but I will have to wait, if they even allow editing of them after they've been published anymore. I know they used too.
I may or may not release another update when they've been published and or edited but for now you seem to have all the information and anymore may just be overbearing.
Also the paperback minimum price was 42 something odd dollars with no royalties, so I raised the price of the paperback to 50 dollars USD so that I can even make a profit off royalties, even with that each purchase of the paperback only gives me 4.25 dollars. The cost of printing is 25 something odd dollars per book, I guess amazon gets the rest and or put it into shipping costs???? Crazy right?

Dear Readers,
Greetings to my beloved readers, I just want to thank you for giving this book a chance to be heard. It has been a few months since Covid19 wreaked havoc around the world, tucking us into our homes for safety and security. I am delighted to be able to write and present such odd Ancient-Chinese themed novel to all of you. I know somehow most people around my age and younger are bored at home, so might as well motivate everyone to read and enhance their reading comprehension/ critical thinking skills. As an amateur Filipino teen writer I am not expecting so much from this book, but I can't help it, I want to be able to share a story to the mass and escape the world of reality for a while. Your reviews, comments and support are very much appreciated so don't forget to leave a note. I as a college student also want to improve my writing skills, so I'll thank everyone in advance. And I just want to remind everyone to avoid plagiarism, let's respect people's property and just enjoy reading, get lost in the world of imagination and have fun.

Getting everyone down the ladder proved to be a hassle.  I looked up at the opening as I pulled a cord and the mouth closed.  The flashlights were suddenly the only light in the oppressive darkness.  We started off.  Flashlights bobbing.  Ashley asked after a while, "Taegan, why did you set up such an elaborate set of escape paths?  Come ON, Taegan.  What were you thinking?"

"On the surface, I have been the good little boy.  Underneath I have been filled with this feeling that our parents would abandon me for no known reason.  I have no idea why I thought that way...  Our mother set up an account for each of us on a vacation to the Seychelles.  I have been using it to hide my gambling winnings...  I got into some high stakes poker games and threw in the credit card with the $1M limit in...  I have won almost every time.  The losses, Dad paid for.  The winnings went to the Seychelles in prepaid credit cards.  I can access the money via a debit card...  Then I started buying land and, well, the trailer parks...  Mom always made the joke that she had grown up thinking trailer parks were posh...  I've been picking off commercial land on this side of the freeway for a while...  Companies would go under and I would buy for almost nothing...  I got caught up in the idea that something horrible would happen and... things got out of control...  The sane part of the goal was to own  enough land that when I sold, I could be self-sufficient...  That guy, Lyonell Hurst, may have a good plan.  We need to go over it at some point.  If it is a good plan, then I will adopt it and he will be SOL.  In all likelihood, he will prove to be a con artist...  One way or another that SOB is going to pay.  On purpose or accidentally he told the A-Team that we were living there...  Or rather, I own trailer parks under the Sergai Brzezinski name and Avery Shrike sent that guy to find me in one of them.  When the A-Team realized that the trailer had an underground escape route, they must have decided to wait until I got home then try to spook us into taking the escape route... right into their hands...  Thus they would not have to invade the thing and chance having to deal with the police.  How long they are going to sit there waiting for us to come out of the basement, I do not know...  The longer the better."

An hour later we emerged from a manhole that looked down on a hotel.  An idea hit me...  I put some money in my wallet and we marched into the hotel.  I walked up the concierge desk and said, "Look, our car broke down.  We have reservations at a hotel downtown.  Could you call us a cab?"

The guy looked up at the clock and down at a clipboard, then he said, "I can take you in the courtesy van, if you want."

"Thank you.  I appreciate your help."  We loaded up and we were off.  I gave him the address of the hotel across the street from Dugan's Long Term Vehicle Storage.  I asked conversationally, "Are you working your way up in the hotel trade or going to college for something else?"

"I'm getting an MBA. I want to work in the transportation industry.  I graduate at the end of summer from the University of Houston," he said concentrating on the road.  "No bites for jobs so far.  I may have to accept something else."

I opened the briefcase, peeled off $1000 and a $20.  I paperclipped the $1000 to the card, prospectus and business plan from Lyonell Hurst.  At the next stop light, I put the papers on the dashboard and said, "I'm Taegan Shrike.  My father died over the weekend.  I will be taking over Saginaw Industries at some point.  I am now going to give you an opportunity.  I need that prospectus and business plan analyzed.  I want a full presentation on its feasibility.  If you find it wanting, then come up with your own version of it.  Do not contact the man on the business card, but I do need you to explore his background."  I waved the $20.  "You can take this as a tip for moving me and my family from here to there.  If you take up the task I have outlined, then I will want a full presentation after you graduate.  I have attached $1000 to cover your expenses.  You can take tip or project or both... or neither."  Someone honked from behind.  The light had turned green.

The man, it said Bernie on his tag, drove for a while. "Why me?"

"The prospectus and/or the business plan may have a tracker on them.  I need someone to lead the people who put the tracker there on a merry chase...  If you are clever you can lead them on a merry chase and do the project and get the job at Saginaw Industries.  What do you say?"

Again a long silence, then he said, "I could just take the money and dump the paper."

"That is one approach."

After a short silence he said, "I will take the $20 and the $1000 and do the project.  I am not sure how well the merry chase will go."  I put the $20 under the paperclip.  At the next stop light, he attached the paper to his clipboard and handed me his card.  I put it in the mad money pouch.

At the small hotel downtown, Bernie unloaded all the bags and left us there on the sidewalk.  I sent Marsha across to Dugan's.  She returned with the van.  We loaded up and started driving.  We stopped at a McDonalds with WiFi and had lunch.  I logged into my mother's business computer and started searching for a file I knew was there.  Mom had established this account in case someone was watching her other account...  Maybe I got my paranoia from her...  After a lot of messing around, I found the list of residences that had been sold but not occupied, rented but not occupied and residences bought but not on the market as yet.

I chose a rental house that had a movein date two weeks away.  We drove there and unloaded.  My mother always kept a key in a red rock in the backyard.  The security codes were in the file I had lifted.  The inside was unbelievable.  To say that the place was opulent was to say that desert is a mite hot.  White marble floors... three story high windows... two grand stair cases...  A 100 meter swimming pool in the back... a kitchen that was bigger than the trailer we had just come from.

Each of us went to a separate bathroom.  Then we met in the master bedroom and dried each other off... and rutted like weasels.  I had heard that a close call with death can cause you to want sex, but this was ridiculous.  When we were all spent, I had everyone put on a house coat and adjourn to the kitchen.  Brittany made us a dinner to die for from the food in the freezer and food closet.  I made a note of all the food we took with the intent of replacing it at some point.

After dinner we watched TV until late, then... made love some more before going to sleep.  The next day after breakfast I drove the van across US 610 and called Jake Rearden.  He seemed stunned that I would call him.  "Anything happen at the trailer park yesterday afternoon?"  I asked conversationally.

"Oh, nothing much except about 50 very deadly men tore your house apart looking for you.  Taegan, these were top of the line bully boys from Colombia.  When they left, they were very unhappy.  One of them tried to mess with one of mine.  I called their leader out and we communicated.  I told him that I had met you once and did not know where you were.  He believed me...  Taegan, they want to kill you.  They do not want to ask you any questions.  The head honcho seemed to think that you had insulted him somehow...  I could not understand why," he said much amused.

"Sir, I have no idea.  I will have to call them and see what the problem is.  I gave them all the information they needed.  I have no idea what they could want," I said truly baffled.

"Taegan, you are playing a very deadly game.  I do not see how you can come out of this alive."

"There's a way, I have not found it yet.  My opponents are not the drug lords.  There is someone else out there pulling the strings.  Once that person is off the board, then the drug people will calm down and see reason.  Right now, I am going to go doggo and spend some quality time in front of a TV...  If I survive, I will indeed get back to you about that motorcycle shop."

He started laughing.  When he could talk, he said, "Kid, if you can survive this, I think I might just decide that retiring is a good idea.  I've always feared that a shop would be too boring.  With you as a partner, no telling what might happen."  He hung up laughing.

I dialed the phone passthrough, then dialed Wesley's number.  It rang for a while, then the genteel voice said, "My... are we back to phonebooths?"

"Well, they're not booths, but yeah, I guess so...  I hear you ran by my hideout and missed me by a bit."

"Chico, what IS your problem?  Why would ANYONE have one secret exit, much less two?  What did you think was going be chasing you?  Did you maybe have a bad trip on acid in the past and..."

"Look, sir, I think my mental state is not the question.  Yours is.  I gave you the whole Goddamned enchilada and now you are back for more...  What the hell is your problem?"  I asked, very unsettled.

"Chico, someone stole the ton of cocaine that came in on June 9th."

I paused, then said, "Oh!...  That would make me testy too...  Not that I had anything to do with it mind you."

"Yes, yes, your wretched relatives!...  Always your wretched relatives!...  Chico, can't you for once accept responsibility for what you have done?"

"Sir, with due respect, you are talking to the wrong guy.  I have always been true to my word and I definitely take responsibilities for my failings,...  AND in this case, I had nothing to do with that...  Sir, I have the wrong skill set for robbing a set of badasses like your people...  I was trained to defend and attack until help arrives...  What you are looking for is a black ops veteran... such as Avery Shrike.  You need..."

"Avery Shrike died in the jungles of Venezuela three years ago!  I have triple confirmation on that," he said vehemently.

"Dude, Avery Shrike is a master at getting one or more factions to fight each other so that in the battle he can sneak in and assassinate people, if they do not get themselves killed in the flames of battle...  I am convinced that he dug out the Peruvian sugar deal, then shopped it to Yugo Shrike, who shopped it to one of your jeffe's lieutenants who then implemented it."

Silence fell.  After a while, he said contemplatively, "I have spoken to this Yugo Shrike...  He did as you say...  He got Emilio Guzman, a Chilean, to present the plan to our jeffe...  Emilio was as you said, one of the men who broke open your door and tried to kill you in your bed... against my specific orders not to.  Yugo Shrike swears that he had nothing to do with the hijacking of the truck carrying the ton of cocaine from Waco to our processing plant in...  You have no need to know...  This Yugo said that the plan dropped on his desk from someone purporting to have a low Throne number, whatever that is.  His plan was that the 20 tons of cocaine would arrive in Waco and be captured by the DEA.  Your father and mother would be discredited and the Throne would move...  That is what he said...  That changes nothing.  The ton of cocaine disappeared in transit."

"Again, sir, you are looking at this incorrectly.  I do not have the correct training to mount an attack on a convoy like that...  Avery does...  Wait...  How many of the 31 people on that list did you grab?"

"We got 21 of them...  I was unhappy with their answers, so I killed each and every one of them."

"Excuse me, sir, has your wife ever suggested anger management?"  I asked fearing his answer.

With a bit of wonder in his voice, he said, "As a matter of fact, she did...  I was so angry with her,...  I killed her."

I said, "Would you mind telling me whether you killed Roland Shrike and his children?"

"I killed all six of those men...  I would have killed their children if they had had any."

"I see...  Sir, I'm going to crawl into a hole and hide for a week or so.  By that time I will have detected who Avery Shrike is and where he is.  Please be patient."  I hung up, pulled out the memory and tossed the phone in a trash basket.  I started up the car and went about three miles south.  I called Megan Hunt using one of the cellphones.

"Taegan, oh my God, Taegan, what the hell is going on?  Someone kidnapped 25 guests from your parents' funeral.  What is going on?"  Megan asked breathlessly.

"Megan, compare the list of 31 names I sent you with the names of the missing.  I sent the same list to the Laurentia Cartel.  The A-Team  they hired to get me has gone nuts...  Let's review.  My second cousin Avery Shrike wanted to be Throne.  That means he wanted to own 59%  of the shares of stock in Saginaw Industries.  He dreamed up a plan to use my mother's business of importing sugar from Peru to import 20 tons of  cocaine...  In the early morning of June 3rd, a trial run was made where a container with one ton of cocaine and 19 tons of Colombian sugar was  swapped for 20 tons of Peruvian sugar in Valle Verde con el Río Rojo, Colombia.  On Thursday, June 9, the one ton of cocaine arrived in Waco amid  much joyous celebration.  The go-ahead was supposed to have been given to the team in Valle Verde con el Río Rojo, to assemble the cocaine and get ready  to swap out the 20 tons of Peruvian sugar for the 20 tons of cocaine.  The swap was supposed be done on the morning of Friday, June 10.   The cocaine was
supposed to arrive in Waco on June 16.  In the early morning of June 23, someone ambushed the truck holding the ton of Colombian cocaine and stole it.  Presumably Avery Shrike did this to force the cartel to kill me and most of his relatives so he could become head of Saginaw Industries.  I..."

"Stop right there, Taegan.  That's crazy.  All of it.  That's too weird.  No one would hatch a plot like that...  You've convinced the druggies that your delusions are real.  You aren't going to do that to me."  She hung up.

I listened to the dial tone for a while.  One by one I was burning my bridges.  This series of events had gone on much too long.  I needed help getting Avery off the Goddamned board.  The SOB was like the Energizer Bunny... he kept going and going and going.  I tossed the cellphone in the trash and went in search of a WiFi connection.

I was cruising through a strip mall.  A book store advertised that they had WiFi... and coffee.  I went inside and sat at one of their tables with my laptop in front of me.  I needed to do something to make this go away.  I logged into my server back in my house and downloaded my email...  I had forgotten that I had asked my friends to make pictures of everyone they could and find out who was attending my parents' funeral... and send the pictures to me.  Somehow or another a flashmob had formed and everyone involved had made an effort to get pictures of who was there and identify who the participants were.  That meant that I had a LOT of pictures to download.  I sat there zoned out as that happened.

Then it hit me...  Avery Shrike was somewhere in this mountain of information.  He had to be.  The SOB was not going to miss a chance to show how clever he was.  A normal person who was hiding would shy away from being exposed.  Avery wouldn't...  How was he going to hide in plain site?

When I got all the email download, I logged off and sat back.  I realized that the book store had a printer for customers to use... for a price.  I got the attendant's help in attaching his printer as a network printer and then went after it.  One by one, I opened the emails and stored the pictures in a separate folder.  The task took forever...  Then I had to create PDF's from each of set of photos with a cover page being the email.  As each PDF was finished, I printed it out.  After a while a guy came over and said, "Sir, you're racking up quite a bill with the printouts."

I absently dropped a $100 bill on the table then put it away.  The guy went back to the printer.

I missed lunch.  About 4pm, the last PDF printed out.  I had consumed a full box of paper.  Making sense of all this was going to be a bitch.  I paid for my printouts with a prepaid card and went back to the rental.

The girls were swimming in the pool... naked.  I took out the cheek implants and took off my clothes and joined them.  We made love in the pool.  We made love on the couches.  We had dinner and made love again.  Somewhere in there we went to sleep.

Suppose that you are a male.

What would you do to get a job that paid one billion USD per year? 

That is the wrong question...

What would you NOT do to attain such a job?

What vile, despicable, underhanded deeds would you do to get your hands on that amount of money and position?

But wait there is more...

What if you must take the job or you and everyone you love will be killed? Would that affect your decision?

Now suppose that you are a female.

Would you marry a guy that was paid one billion USD per year?

But wait there is more...

You can marry the guy or you will be kidnapped, tortured and then killed. Plus, your flesh would be eaten by the torturer, if you did not marry the guy. Would that affect your willingness to wed the guy? I mean, how bad would the guy have to be before you screamed, "I would rather be tortured and my flesh eaten than be married to this guy."?

In the story, Teagan Shrike turns eighteen the summer before his senior year in high school. From one day to the next, he goes from heir apparent to a fortune to a fugitive from two drug cartels, the police and a shadowy relative who wants the billion dollar job badly enough to kill him for it. Teagan must make a series of life and death decisions. He must also decide whether he wants to marry the 'correct' girl and take up his position as head of a family of inbred, wealthy and deadly monsters in human form.

By the end of the day, Riwall got the skills related to blunt and pole weapons.

As soon as Riwall finished the last routine, Edward said a few words about how Riwall needs to keep his high-intensity approach to the training and excused himself.


Riwall made his way to the shared bath, which resembled the ones made by the Romans, and got rid of all the sweat and red clay. He took notice of how the bathwater got slightly red-colored when he entered but in a few seconds became pristine again. According to a soldier that was there, it was thanks to an enchantment done on the floor titles.


He left his clothes in a trunk in the change room and was already dreading the fact that he would have to use it again after taking a bath. However, he was pleasantly surprised to open the trunk and find out that it was also an enchanted piece and that his clothes were as clean as possible.


Immediately he noticed one of the limitations of it: the clothes would be clean, but any damage done to them would not be fixed.


{I will have to ask Joshua for a few spare sets, this one won't last a week if today's training is the parameter.}


After asking for directions, he found his way to Hector's classroom. The Adventure's Guidmaster was already there taking notes of a book in front of him. Riwall had to cough to get his attention.


"Oh, welcome, Riwall! Please take a seat." Hector said with a smile.


{His demeanor is the complete opposite of what he showed in the guild, he is all giddy and full of smiles now. Back in the Guild he barely had any reaction when mom cried!}


"First, let me tell you how happy I am to be the teacher of you and your companions. I work as a bureaucrat because I am good at it and someone has to do the job, but my passion lies in researching magic and teaching it to the next generations."


He continued.


"According to your files, I have to help the other two develop their mana pathways. I expected this much anyways. It's extremely rare for commoners to have heirloom designs like most noble houses. Imagine my surprise when I read that you already had a pathway! Give me your hand. Let me check it for any fixable problems."


Riwall was reluctant to let a stranger circle their mana through his body. Hector noticed it and said reassuring words.


"Don't stress yourself. Even if I had any ill intentions, you would not be able to do anything. Hellen came to the guild an hour after Joshua left and asked me to check you, she said you designed your pathways alone and without any guidance. As you are still young and the pathways are fresh, I will be able to fix anything done wrong."


Riwall nodded and let Hector perform the check-up, he told Friday to keep her guard up, but she rebuked him by saying that she could not even imagine what she would be able to do to stop a mage as strong as Hector.


Hector's mana was much more fluid than Erika's. It made him feel cold and relaxed at the same time.


[In some ways his mana remembers Erika's, but this coldness stands out. It is a theory, but I think each person may have their mana attuned to specific concepts.]


Hector finished cycling his mana through Riwall's mana pathways and immediately started taking notes about something.


"Excuse me Mr. Hector, but is everything ok?" Riwall voice snapped the Guildmaster out of his trance. He had a happy smile as he started sharing his findings.


"It's more than ok! I don't know how you did it, but your pathways are perfect. I have to give the merits of that to your Bless; your mother told me it was a high-grade one, so I can only assume it was responsible for this. No way someone without a deep understanding of magic could come up with such an ingenious design. We will talk more about it later, but I will give you some books about techniques to hide your pathways from other mages."


He got serious before continuing.


"Never let others know about your design. Anyone would kidnap you and hurt you to get their hands on a design like yours. Even the Marsastor's best design pales when compared to yours. As soon as I can, I will personally instruct you in ways of hiding and disguising it. You have my word."


Riwall gulped at the idea of being tortured again. Of the few things he clearly remembered about his previous life. Nothing was as clear as his memories of the pain he suffered.


The private session with Hector came to an end when Anna and Gregory arrived. Hector dismissed Riwall, but not before giving him ten books about magic and two about pathways-hiding techniques.

Back in his room, Riwall looked disappointed at the books in front of him.


{These things can barely be called books, the handwriting of half of them is abysmal, and only one has more than 200 pages!}


[Well, these are the very first books thaught to children, what did you expect? A dissertation made by a master to his peers?]


{I expected at least something that would take us more than an hour to finish!}


[You know very well that you will only take one hour because of me. No one else can memorize a book with a single glance. On top of that, I will cross-reference the texts between them, rule out inconsistencies, fill the gaps, and finally, create a new and improved book on the subject using techniques from Earth.]


{Ok, fine, you won.}


[Get to work then! These books won't open themselves and turn the pages.] She said with a commanding voice, making Riwall flinch and salute the air.


{Yes ma'am!}

It took only 10 minutes for them to fill Friday's database with the book's contents and another 30 minutes for her to create a new one. Using the Earth's modern take on pedagogical techniques, the result was a book that used a simple language to convey complex concepts, making the harsh learning curve of the original texts something that could be easily absorbed even by kids.


Each of the kids received a big stack of parchment, a quill pen, and a small bottle of ink from Hector. Riwall went for the only desk of the room and got right into transcribing the book compiled by Friday.


He browsed the book in his mind and requested her to create some drawings to make some concepts even more accessible, which she promptly complied with.


She let go of all restraints they put together not to draw Edward's attention during training and guided Riwall's hands with mechanical precision.


In only 1 hour the 50 pages book was fully transcribed with impeccable handwriting. If someone from Earth were to look at it, they would say it was printed from a PDF. The drawings shared the same quality, but Riwall let himself be more creative and, with Friday's help, produced pieces that were both educational and beautiful to look at.

[That was unexpected. We now know for sure that our previous assertions were correct. The System does indeed rewards results more than effort.]


Suddenly Riwall felt a migraine starting to take form in his head.


{Uh, Friday, should I not be immune to migraines with you here and all?}

True to her words, Friday took only one minute to make the pain go away, and Riwall got to experience the feeling of learning dozens of drawing techniques and a handful of scribing techniques in the blink of an eye.


{What the hell was that? So scribing is the skill that allows someone to write spell books, enchantments, and glyphs? The System only taught me a few techniques on how to avoid minor mistakes when making those three, but nothing more. The drawing techniques are kind of useless. Everything it taught me cannot produce better results than our shared efforts.}


[Don't dismiss it so quickly. Not only does this knowledge complements what I have in my database, but it offers us insights that artists have on drawing that cannot be put into words. With only this much, I am already confident we can produce drawings even better than the ones we just made.]

Friday helped his brain absorb everything in the book they made. According to it, magic casting revolves around providing a spell with three things: intent, information, and mana.


The intent dictates the nuances of the spell. If a healer wants his spell to heal, he needs to wish for it to heal the patient. Should the healer harbor ill intention, the spell will be twisted and can make a broken bone heal in the wrong way or heal the exterior of a wound while leaving the inside damaged.


Information is directly related to how mana-efficient the spell will be. If the mage visualizes how his spell needs to change the reality around him,  it will take less mana and time to achieve the results desired. For example, if Riwall wants to make a flame, he can do it in two different ways. Either he plainly wishes for it to manifest, or he visualizes all the physics behind the existence of the fire. In the first scenario, he will have to expend vast amounts of mana to achieve what could be done with a fraction if he used the second method.


And finally, the third requisite is mana itself. This mysterious energy is what fuels changes in reality. The clearer the mana, the more efficient it is as a fuel. Take Hector cold mana for example, according to the book and Friday's observations; his mana is attuned to water, which means he will have an easier time using it to cast water spells than if he tried to use it for casting fire and dark ones.


The book then goes a long way into showing how to cast your first spells. As all ten books were made with kids as the target audience, they still lacked much information. But it was more than enough for Friday to begin researching it.


[Want to try casting a spell or would you instead go to bed?] Friday taunted him.


{Like hell I would sleep after learning how to cast spells! Call my family and tell them I will be late for dinner! I will not rest until I can blow up an entire room!}

I will state here my promises to you, potential reader:

1. No harem! I don't trust myself to make a harem feel natural or healthy, I never met any person who has a personality that can adapt and live in a harem for reasons that are not monetary, so I can't draw inspiration from real life. Sorry!;

6. If I took my time describing something, it's because it is important. I hate novels that wastes time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle;

7. If in the future Webnovel comes to offer me a contract, I will first reach for the readers to know their opinion and see if they want to donate through other sites or not. It would be a dream come true to live of writing, but not if the cost is the alienation from the people that supported me along the way;

8. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first.

One foot is bolder and another is timid. I have a mixture of feelings that i couldn't express, i wasn't that bold to accept all the comments and go easy. How could I completely changed my look in a day like ranveer singh?. You have to be bold to face everything, subconscious added. As i entered inside, i felt everyone's eye on me, i just want to run back to my room and hide. But, how long?. I acted like courageous girl on the corridor. I just felt how many people know me because of my big salwar. Actually, i am not different. All girls in this college wears whatever they like. No strict conditions. but, still everyone looked at me different and few complimented.

I happened to see deepika and her friends near laboratory, they looked pale and dejected.

"they surely worried for messing up with you.", asha laughed and i joined. My class came first, they hugged me and went to their respective classes. Asusual dinesh came late, but today my bench was preoccupied by someone. He easily exchanged the seat with the person beside me and winked considering it as a victory. my heart shook and without my knowledge i seen him many times. Tough teenage life!. 
i barely listened class, again he came to take my notebook. But this time i holded it harder, i dont want him to comment or tell me anything. He began to give his little force to get my notebook, i too did the same. In sometime, we forget that we are in class. he began to deceive me with simple cheap tricks to get my notebook, but i didn't give up. We both holded the notebook harder and dragged on our respective side.

He is too strong to compete with me. he almost got it from my hand, but i wont give up. I gave my full strength, but he seized it. how dare?

"meera and dinesh, follow me to the principal room", professor yelled and waited for us outside. we glared each other in disbelief , tried to convince and apologize our professor. But, he didn't hear us. He left us near principal and gone for class. I practised to keep my face as pity as possible . i made my lips downturned and made my eyebrows lowest.

"hey, please don't keep your face like that inside. he is almost 70 years , He may die anytime",he laughed at his own stupid joke.
We were called inside. its a highly furnished air conditioned room and an old man sat in cushioned  black rotating chair, paired up with a green marble table. What a life!

 so, give me that note book.", principal got it from him and scrutinized every page for something he didn't write. This is my new notebook so, i am sure it don't have anything other than todays note which i took before he coming to class. After searching, he looked at us blankly.

"so ,why did you fight for this?", he asked dinesh with little irritation. I looked at him because i have the same question in mind. 
He hesitated a little and looked at me. i am aware that we made a first eye contact.
."you are uniquely beautiful", he blurt out. These few words from his lips made my whole body to tremble. I lowered my gaze from him.
"what?", principal got both of our attention.
"sir, actually i was late today  just  to check what professor taught. I tried to get her notebook But everything is messed up", he said by glancing both of us.

"sir class was going on and already  i missed few notes", i blabbered.
"don't behave like kids. Do something bigger this is the most silly and ridiculous case i dealt in my history."

 If dinesh spoke all this before my school principal, he definitely call our parents and delivered TC. Here , they just warned us. And my mind shifted to the notebook i was holding.

Riya looked at my activity."Are you playing hide and seek with your mobile?",
 she tried to study my facial reaction.
"no.. i was just...", i took my mobile as it vibrates.
Me: "i used to play from 5th grade. My parents don't want me to continue outdoor games from my 11th grade. So , i quitted."

"a lot of papers?", i whispered. I just glanced everything. It was like some business company analysis paper. I found why he gave me this idiotic stuff.If i spend time in analysing all this, he will be the definite topper this year, subconscious added. 
But,I wondered Why i like him?. no one in my life came across like him and i never felt this weak. There are few people in my life i can comfortably speak from my heart without any filter. Because, i trust or like them much. I have a feel they will be my side anytime. Few people break it and few strengthen that feel. When they break it, i never trust or allow people in my life for few months and when they strengthen it it, i cherish every people with love. I don't know how he will be? But my heart wants to trust him even my brain don't want to.

This story is about a girl from village and a boy from City. They together come across avrious dilemma, love, romance and problems. How she console her joint family to accept Dinesh and how they faced their hurdles. A beautiful love story ends with a tragedy.

"DRIP DRIP!" Pumatak ang ulan sa kanilang mga payong na para bang mga lumilipad na langgam.
Hinawakan ni Luo Feng ang kanyang payong habang naglalakad sa tabi ng wargod na si Yang Hui. Matapos ang ilang sandali ay nakarating na sila sa isang building complex matapos tumawid sa isang manmade bridge. Itinuro ito ni Yang Hui na hindi kalayuan sa kanila, "Ito ay ang Jiang-Nan Pagoda Luo Feng. Mayroon na itong dalawang estudyante sa kasalukuyan. Kaya ikaw ang magiging pangatlong estudyante ng pagodang ito."
"Ang Jiang-Nan Pagoda?" Kumabog ang dibdib ni Luo Feng at hindi napigilang magtanong ng, "Instructor, paano po ito nagkaroon ng kaparehong pangalan sa Jiang-Nan headquarter city?"
Isa na si Yang Hui sa mga ituturing niyang instructors dito ngayong isa na rin siyang opisyal na estudyante ng elite training camp.
Kaya natural lang na tawagin niya si Yang Hui ngayon bilang instructor.
"Hahaha, ang lahat ng mga ito ay nakabase sa pangalan ng headquarter cities. Mayroong dalawang estudyante na nakatira sa Jiang-Nan pagoda ngayon. Pareho silang nagmula sa Jiang-Nan headquarter city. Nauna rin silang makapasok dito sa elite training camp kaysa sa iyo." Agad na ibinaba ni Yang Hui ang kanyang ulo at misteryosong sinabi kay Luo Feng na, "May sasabihin ako sa iyo Luo Feng. "Wala ka man lang pong tiwala sa inyong sarili na matalo ang estudyante pong iyon?" manghang-mangha na tanong ni Luo Feng.
Si Yang Hui ay isa nang intermediate level wargod!
"Oo," tango ni Yang Hui, "Ang Shi Jiang na ito ay nasa top five sa ranking ng elite training camp. Napakurap si Luo Feng nang marinig niya ito. Ang lahat ng estudyanteng nasa top 30 ay mayroon nang lakas na katumbas ng isang wargod?

Siguradong makakatanggap ang Shi Jiang na ito ng mataas na respeto mula sa kahit sino saan man siya magpunta sa oras na makagraduate siya sa training camp na ito!"
"Halimbawa, puwede siyang maging chairman ng Dojo of Limits sa Jiang-Nan City kung kailan man niya gustuhin," sabi ni Yang Hui.
Nahinto si Luo Feng nang marinig niya ito.
Ang chairman ng Dojo of Limits sa Jiang-Nan City? Ito ang head ng Big Four ng Jiang-Nan City!
"Hindi na imposible sa kanya na maging isang examiner ng ating Dojo of Limits dahil magpapatuloy pa ang kanyang paglakas sa loob ng ilan pang taon," buntong-hininga ni Yang Hui. Kahit na hindi gaanong magkalayo ang kanilang lakas, si Yang Hui ay mayroon na ngayong edad na 50 years old habang si Shi Jiang naman ay mayroon lang edad na 20 years old! Kaya mayroong napakagandang kinabukasan ang batang iyon sa oras na gumraduate ito sa elite training camp.
Habang manghang-mangha pa rin, narating nila Luo Feng ang Jiang-Nan Pagoda.
Ang courtyard ng Jiang-Nan Pagoda ay mayroon lang laki na ilang dosenang m2. Mayroon din itong mga pader na kulay puti at mga tiles na kulay itim. Mayroon din isang nakaukit na imahe ng isang dragon sa pader nito.
Matapos buksan ang gate.
Ay makikita ang tatlong building sa loob ng Jiang-Nan Pagoda. Tahimik na tahimik ang lugar na ito habang lumalakad papasok sa courtyard nito sina Luo Feng at Yang Hui. Ilang saglit pa ay sumigaw si Yang Hui ng, "Shi Jiang, Zhao Ruo!"
Isang babae na may maikling buhok at nakasuot ng isang maluwag na pantulog ang nakatayo sa balkonahe sa 2nd floor ng building sa kanilang kaliwa. Isang anino naman ang direktang tumalon pababa mula sa isang building papunta sa kanilang harapan. Mukha itong isang batang nakablack dojo uniform at may hawak na isang payong sa kanyang kamay.
Tiningnan ni Luo Feng ng maigi ang binatang ito na buong pusong pinuri ni Yang Hui kanina.
Ang binatang ito ay makikitang mas matangkad kaysa kay Luo Feng ng kaunti; ang tangkad niya ay umaabot sa 1.7 meters. Makikita mo ang pagkamaskulado ng buong katawan nito na para bang isang bakal na bagong hulma kahit na mayroon itong kaliitan sa tangkad. Wala kang makikitang espesyal sa mga mata nito, pero once na tumingin siya sa iyo ay mapapanginig ka sa takot.
"Siya si Shi Jiang," tahimik na sinabi ni Luo Feng sa kanyang sarili.
"Isang bagong estudyante na naman ang nakapasok?" tanong ng isang napakasayang tao mula sa itaas. Hinawakan ni Zhao Ruo ang kanyang payong habang tuwang-tuwa nitong tinitingnan ang bagong pasok na si Luo Feng.
Tiningnan ni Luo Feng ang kanyang senior. Ang kanyang senior na si Zhao Ruo ay mayroong maikling buhok at may kaliitan. Ang tanging nakapagpapangit lang sa kanya ay ang pagiging itim ng kanyang kutis at pagkakaroon ng mga maliliit na mata.
"Ang pangalan niya ay Luo Feng. Mula ngayon ay maninirahan siya kasama niyo rito sa Jiang-Nan Pagoda," sabi ni Yang Hui, "Shi Jiang, Zhao Ruo, kayong dalawa ay ituturing na niya bilang kanyang mga seniors mula ngayon. Kararating pa lang ni Luo Feng dito kaya alagaan niyo siya ng maigi."
"Huwag po kayong mag-alala, ako na ang bahala sa kanya," buong tiwala sa sariling hampas ni Zhao Ruo sa kanyang dibdib. "Wala siyang magiging problema rito hangga't kasama niya ako."
"Magaling, kung ganoon ay mauuna na ako," tawa ni Yang Hui habang tinatapik ang balikat ni Luo Feng. Matapos nito ay agad siyang naglakad palabas ng pagoda.

Mayroong tatlong buildings na makikita sa loob ng Jiang-Nan pagoda. Nakatira si Shi Jiang sa building sa gitna nito at si Zhao Ruo naman ay nakatira sa building na nasa kaliwang bahagi ng pagoda kaya natural na maninirahan si Luo Feng sa building na nakatayo sa kanang bahagi ng pagoda.
"Maupo ka Luo Feng, upo ka," napakataos-pusong sabi ni Zhao Ruo. Silang tatlo ay nakaupo sa lobby ng pagoda sa mga oras na ito.
"Pumasok ako rito noong year 55 habang si senior Shi Jiang naman ay pumasok dito noong year 53 kaya talagang napakalayo ng agwat ng pagpasok namin dito sa iyo," ngiti ni Zhao Ruo.
Ngumiti rin si Shi Jiang sa isang tabi at sinabing, "Oy, 53, 55 at 57. Dalawang taon ang pagitan sa pagpasok ng bawat isa sa atin. At pare-pareho rin tayong nagmula sa Jiang-Nan city! Mukhang fated 'to ah!"
Noong nagsasalita si Shi Jiang ay naramdaman ni Luo Feng na napakabigat pala ng boses ng napakakalmadong taong ito.
"Mula ako sa Su City ng Jiang-Nan City habang si senior Shi Jiang naman ay nagmula sa main city sector. Saan ka naman nanggaling Luo Feng?" tanong ni Zhao Ruo.
"Mula ako sa Yang Zhou City." sabi ni Luo Feng.
Natawa sa sobrang pagkasurpresa si Shi Jiang at sinabing, "Nagmula rin ang aking lolo sa Yang Zhou city!"
Silang tatlo ay nagmula sa Jiang-Nan City. Pero ang isa sa dalawang senior niya na sina Shi Jiang at Zhao Ruo ay nagmula sa basics training camp bago pumasok sa elite training camp habang ang isa naman ay nagmula sa army ng gobyerno bago ipadala rito para magsanay. Tanging si Luo Feng lang ang napili at nanggaling mula sa pagiging isang pangkaraniwang fighter sa kanilang tatlo.
"Buksan mo mamaya pagdating mo sa iyong kuwarto mamaya ang notebook na sinupply sa iyo ng training camp," paalala ni Shi Jiang, "Makikita mo sa loob ng notebook na ito ang isang Student Notice PDF. Basahin mo iyon ng maigi."
"Oo nga, napakaimportante nga ng bagay na iyon," dagdag ni Zhao Ruo.
"Ang pinakaimportanteng bagay sa lahat ng estudyante rito ay ang iyong score!" paalala ni Zhao Ruo, "Napakaimportante ng iyong ranking sa loob ng training camp na ito! Nakita mo na siguro ang statue ng black dragon pagpasok mo ng training camp na ito tama?"
"Nakita ko nga iyon," tango ni Luo Feng.
Mukhang mayroon lang isang Chinese sa top three ng ranking na iyon.
"Habang pataas ng pataas ang iyong score ay pataas din ng pataas ang magiging ranking mo sa statue ng black dragon na iyon! Mayroon kang pagkakataon na pataasin ang iyong score para sa ranking mula sa ikaunang araw hanggang sa ika 28th na araw ng bawat buwan. Ang ika 29th na araw naman ng bawat buwan ay nakalaan sa pagrereorganize ng ranking ng mga estudyante sa elite training camp! Ang score ng lahat ng mga estudyante ay babalik sa zero pagsapit ng kasunod na buwan kaya ang bawat isa ay magsusumikap muli para pataasin ang kani-kanilang score." paliwanag ni Zhao Ruo.
Namangha si Luo Feng sa kanyang narinig.
Ang kanilang ranking ay nagrereset kada buwan!
"Mga seniors, saan naman po nagmumula ang score na ito?" tanong ni Luo Feng.

Matapos nito ay ioorganize nila ang ating ranking base sa mga nakuha nating mga battle score sa buwan na iyon."
Habang pinapakinggan sila ni Luo Feng ay mas lalo itong nacoconfuse sa iba't ibang bagay tungkol dito.
