However, her target had an agenda of his own. He wasn't going to sit by while she ruin his fun. So, he executed every perverted trick he could think of to force her stubborn personality to crumble away.

Vil cluelessly searched through the fridge, the cupboards and took out everything he could find to put them on the already overflowing counter.
Vil didn't even need to say anything and it was already clear how much he despaired. Frozen Milk had to cover his mouth not to burst out laughing. It got even worse when Vil put the pot onto the hob the wrong way and furiously smashed the hob hoping it would magically turn on.
Frozen Milk's insides twisted with cackles that even the system felt offended about. But Frozen Milk had to admit this was an endearing sight. Vil put much effort and maybe too much force to please Frozen Milk. Frozen Milk couldn't watch any longer and decided to put Vil out of his demise and help him.
Frozen Milk was quite proud of his cooking skills. Living alone made him experiment a lot with food although most of the time he only ate toast or cup noodles since those 10 000 words didn't write themselves.
Vil was too absorbed in managing the overwhelming power of cooking to notice Frozen Milk standing beside him.
So, Frozen Milk watched eagerly from the best spot, the first row how this theatre unfolded. It got to a point where Frozen Milk slapped the counter to cope with the humorous fails of Vil.
"My Lord…" Vil looked embarrassed and Frozen Milk savoured the one-in-a-lifetime chance to ever experience it.
"What are you trying to cook?"
"I thought about making my Lord something sweet but also savoury."
"So a main dish and a dessert?"
"Indeed, but both combined."
Frozen Milk had a very bad feeling.
"How… does that work?"
"My Lord, waffles with chopped garlic in soy sauce sounds good, doesn't it?"
"Are you trying to poison me?"
"I thought this was what my Lord would like."
Frozen Milk this time slapped Vil on his shoulder voluntarily, Vil moaned. 
"When have you ever seen me eating this crap, huh? Do I look like a fucking weirdo to you? Do my taste buds seem like something you can go and torture? Do they? Should I rip them out for you to see and apologise? How long have we lived together? Shouldn't you by now know what I like to eat?" Frozen Milk ranted and ranted and kicked Vil to his knees to lecture him from above.
Vil did look like he was reflecting but he also looked very happy to be 'punished' like this by Frozen Milk.
Frozen Milk wanted to go further but knew it'd backfire on him because all of this actually turned Vil on. It was a double-edged sword. If Frozen Milk suffered or if Vil suffered, both were fantastic options for Vil.
All of you come and catch my hands, I'm about to throw them! This damn pervert!
Frozen Milk rolled up his sleeved and then ordered Vil to put back all the stuff they didn't need. In satisfaction, Frozen Milk watched how his villain turned into his personal slave. This was a nice feeling.
Then Frozen Milk proceeded to show Vil how to use a hob by pressing the buttons.
"Like this?" Vil put his palm on the hob.
"No, like this," Frozen Milk pressed the button on and off again.
"Like this?" Vil literally pressed the space next to the button.
"No," a vein popped.
"Like this?" Vil touched the oven.
"No," another vein joined its fellow brother.
"Like this?" Vil put a plate on the hob.
"No," a third vein committed suicide.
"Like this?" Vil touched Frozen Milk's chest.
"Fuck! Are you doing this on purpose? You are, aren't you! Don't mess with me and turn the damn hob on!" a million more veins bathed in the blood of their comrades' corpses.
"Then punish me, my Lord!" this was what he was after, after all! Of course, it was! What else!
"No, turn the hob on and cook the fucking food!" Frozen Milk lost all of his patience and the endearing thoughts he held for Vil vanished like a puff of smoke after violently murdered corpses have been burnt.
"Ok but my Lord, you have t-"
"Shut up!"
Obediently, Vil turned the hob on and with great difficulty, Frozen Milk rolled his eyes, put the pot on.
"Good, let's start the actual cooking."
While Frozen Milk chopped the veggies and meat, Vil was responsible for stirring them.
After another few of Frozen Milk's veins have been sacrificed, the main dishes came out pretty nice. Frozen Milk was satisfied.
Next, Vil insisted on making some dessert. Frozen Milk knew how much his villain loved sweets and fruits which oddly did go along with his image. The strawberries were perfectly covered in whipping cream until Frozen Milk had to physically rip the bottles out of Vil's hands and throw it to the other 10 abused ones lying in the bin.
"That's enough, way too much. No matter how much of a sweet tooth you have, that's going to kill you!" Frozen Milk took the dessert and wanted to walk but found himself again in Vil's arms.
"You shouldn't strain yourself so much."
Frozen Milk was touched and grateful that was until Vil placed the four plates of food on Frozen Milk's body as he carried him back to the dining hall.
What was he? A tray? A human tray?
Frozen Milk should've been used to it. Whenever he thought his characters could be sweet, they always topped his expectation with a great 'haha you thought' that was thrown into this face. Reversal stories and the most insane plot twists couldn't even touch the feet of his characters' gifted talent in this.
Vil laid Frozen Milk down and as if heaven didn't already indulge his characters enough, the plates perfectly stayed on top of Frozen Milk without even spilling a single bit.
Frozen Milk long had resisted the urge to call out unfair things. But was he unfazed by this? Hell no. 
He just bitterly cursed in his head as Vil put the food onto the table and then held out a spoon to Frozen Milk.
"There's no way you feed me."
"Please, my Lord, I just wish for yo-"
"Shut up."
Vil put the spoon down and then turned his back to Frozen Milk.
Frozen Milk thought he hurt this villain's feelings but again he was overrun by reversal.
Vil closed in on Frozen Milk's lips and between his mouth he had a piece of vegetable. Who knew his sneaky villain would think of another cliché trope.
"There's no way what's been in your mouth will make it in mine."
Vil pressed Frozen Milk's cheeks together and forced the food into his mouth, then he smirked, "My Lord, you already had me in your mouth."
Then his fingers glided over Frozen Milk's lips.
The anguished screams in Frozen Milk's mind that wished to be released! His villain didn't need to be so explicit. Frozen Milk instantly sat up and took his spoon to mow down his food, so there was none left for Vil to feed him.
Afterwards, Frozen Milk caught Vil's glance at his own plate. Before Vil could destroy Frozen Milk's plan, Frozen Milk grabbed Vil's plate and fed Vil instead.
Vil narrowed his eyes and enjoyed way too obviously this preferred treatment. Frozen Milk huffed after he managed to fill Vil up and he fell back onto the sofa to catch a break. Frozen Milk managed to escape the pitfall to only fall into a second hidden one.
"My Lord, you had your fun. Now, it's my time to indulge myself."
"Wha-"
Vil pinned Frozen Milk down and gave him no chance to move.
"Afterwards, my Lord can wish to punish me as he likes."
With one hand keeping Frozen Milk down, the other went to remove Frozen Milk's clothes. Panic clouded Frozen Milk's eyes.
"My Lord, I haven't been properly able to feast, so please serve as my plate."
The sensation of the whipping cream on his naked skin and the sight of the strawberries on top, made Frozen Milk unable to process anything else as he was lured into a pot of seduction. Then the soft coldness of Vil's hands trailing along his body, had Frozen Milk shiver in pleasure.
Vil's fingertips glided gently over each sensual part of Frozen Milk and Vil's eyes narrowed seeing the slightly parted lips of Frozen Milk breathing heavily as he reacted to each of Vil's touches. A desperate and beastly urge overcame Vil to suck and bite on Frozen Milk's pink and delicious lips, to have his tongue invade and dominate Frozen Milk's.
Frozen Milk felt the heat Vil exuded and his eyes widened as Vil started to tower over Frozen Milk. 
"No..o..." Frozen Milk huffed as Vil's lips lowered and made contact with Frozen Milk's chest.
Dammit... Frozen Milk prayed he could escape the real feast his villain meant because Frozen Milk was the real feast!
Frozen Milk could only give in to punishing Vil afterwards to then run away until he once again was caught at night.
Fuck my life.
"Yes, they literally fuck the life out of you, host."

Even though he was busy with his array, Luke made sure to delegate work continuously to everyone.
He assigned all the regular workers of CoD to continuously expand the base and its facilities. He had his R&D department continuously make newer and better explosives. He assigned most of the dangerous hunting missions to players who were not able to get into the war mission and were strong enough to not die instantly, while he sent the normal fighters of CoD on the easier and safer missions to reduce casualties of people who cannot revive. On the other hand, he had his ever-loyal elite team of 'permanent servants' hunt for equipment and complete missions on his behalf.
He had split them into two teams, one had the higher-ranking assassins who were stronger, while the other hand the weaker assassins. The high-ranking team would be sent into more difficult places such as the natural dungeons which were essentially environments in extremes which suited the growth of a particular type of monster(s).
Ultimatum did not have a concept of dungeons, however, in places which were too frigid, there exists incredible numbers of frost monsters and bears of varying levels, creating natural dungeons, that were also known as mob fields.
Naturally, they would not earn exp and grow like players, however, all living and non-living beings would grow with time, and they would grow especially more with certain stimuli. Naturally, the main reason they were there was to hunt the monsters for their corpse and other rare materials, as well as to cleanly strip the land of anything valuable.
These permanent servant assassins, as well as the ordinary soldiers trips, were the main sources of income for CoD. Due to the incredibly high efficiency, the CoD base's insane growth speed both inside and outside the walls, were not only sufficiently funded, but even some amount of extra money was being collected slowly.
The assassin group with the weaker people were mainly sent on secret missions to kill certain people, kidnap others and basically smoothen out the growth of CoD, limiting the opposition without offending those old geezers in the council.
At this moment, Lucian Silverfang had been sent on an expedition into an incredibly hot dessert to hunt monsters as part of the first Alpha squad, the stronger of the two squads of permanent servants.
"Damn it! Why do I have to fight in this dessert?! I hate this heat! What is this! That f…"
However, the next words did not leave his mouth as he stopped himself and sat back down dejectedly. The others also sat down in the burning sand, exhausted from fighting sand beasts and poisonous creatures for a week non-stop!
It was not that the group finally discovered something other than endless sand and monsters, it was a bunch of tiny rocks placed on top of each other randomly. It appeared to be rather close by and the alpha squad looked at each other for a moment and all stood up with invigorated spirits. They were going to go towards those stones. At least, it was different from the rest of the endless and monotonous sand.
However, as they walked, a day passed, and the night came. Nights in the dessert became rather cold, and so the alpha squad stopped and made a bonfire.
Naturally, Luke would not leave them to die, and so he had sent them off with a tonne of resources. Where had they been sent to? Naturally, it was the dessert which was to the south east corner of the Gamin continent, under the control of the Leon kingdom.
In a sense, although the Leon kingdom controlled half of the Gamin continent, around 30% of that land was barren wastelands, for example, to the south west was the frozen plains, and to the south east was the barren dessert. Only the land at the centre of Leon, and land that was closer to the border between Leon and the other two large kingdoms and smaller kingdoms were arable and had populations of people.
Now, Lucian Silverfang and the rest of his group filled with assassins from not only Leon but also other kingdoms including Roland and Islesat, as well as many other nations, had been sent to the desserts for a 'field trip' as their master called it for exactly 1 week. Naturally, this group had to keep collecting materials from the monsters they killed, and if the number was lower than what Luke had told them to collect, they would be sent to the same place for double the time. After the week would end, the group would be extracted from their location to the safety of the CoD base for a resting period of another week, before they were sent out again for a week in some barren frozen forest, or a boiling hot dessert.
This was the fate of one that tried to kill The Sage and failed.

Luke, an average player, and fan of the popular fully-immersive MMORPG 'Ultimatum' and is just about to log out and leave the game after it's shut-down had been announced. 
However, as soon as he pressed down on the illusory button, a sharp pain attacked his mind, causing him to lose consciousness.
When he woke up, he finds himself in the body of Lucas, a slave in the outskirts of the capital of the Leon Kingdom, Sozra.
The catch is, that the Leon Kingdom was said to have been destroyed a long time ago in-game.  Also, within Luke's status, there is a notification;

Aside from Inna, the table only had Galen, Herad, Firo, and Drona now. And unfortunately, the fact that Inna was still there with the high class nobles irritated the hell out of both Galen and Herad.

Galen held a stiff smile as he tried to hide the sneer that was aching to come out as he ate the dessert that was served. As he ate, he felt a small nudge on his toes so he looked at across him only to find Herad staring at him with a smile.

He somehow can already guess what was going on with Herad's mind so he gave him a small indiscernible nod. This made Herod's smile wider and sinister-looking. Then, leaving it all to Herad, Galen pretended like nothing was happening and continued on with properly eating his dessert.

Meanwhile, Inna was on cloud nine as she happily ate the dessert. She didn't expect that they had desserts at all. 

Guess it only makes itself known whenever there are feasts, huh.

No wonder the people in this world were mostly skinny ones. They've been deprived of something as good as desserts.

The dessert that was given to them was Frozen Cream that has some sort of nuts in it. It's basically a serving of ice cream with nuts, except that it's a bit bland. 

If she were to explain it in her words, she would say that it was like watered down vanilla ice cream with nuts.

She didn't really like ice cream with nuts because she always had this unwarranted fear of the nuts turning out to be a trapped fly or a bug in the ice cream that she's eating. So, back when she was 'herself', she used to always inspect the nuts if they were actually nuts before she eats the spoonful of ice cream.

Also, another thing that bothered her a bit was that the Frozen Cream with nuts isn't formed like a scoop of ice cream which she dearly missed, instead, it was like a solid white block that hid the nuts in its middle. She was almost tricked into thinking that it was plain cream since the nuts were hidden in its center but nevertheless, Inna still liked to eat it.

In fact, back when it was just served, Inna was so excited at the pure sight of it that she immediately took a spoonful. But before the loaded spoon can even enter her mouth, Professor Gnarly smacked her head with the harisen so suddenly that she almost dropped the spoon from shock. Then, feeling the throbbing pain in the top area of her head, Inna was reminded that they were actually in the middle of the test. She ate so satisfyingly in the four-course meal that her mind drifted to the thought that she was just in some sort of themed restaurant.

Ugh, that means she's got three mistakes already while the rest barely has any.

Okay, let's be serious this time. She chanted to herself as she decided to mend her mistake.

Using some of her previous knowledge on the Princess Diaries 2,  she realized that taking a spoonful is unbecoming of a high class lady, so she carefully took small amounts and gracefully ate it with a smile.

The rest followed suit. But as Inna carefully ate her frozen cream while desperately praying in her mind that there wouldn't be any trapped insects in it, there was a loud sound that made everyone freeze.

From her convenient location at the center of the table, Inna saw Firo gasp heavily as he leaned his head diagonally on the table. His hand was violently slapping the table while the other was caressing his throat roughly. Everyone tried their best to ignore him but his desperate gasps sounded too grave for them to fully concentrate on their food. The audience's murmurs can also be heard as they tried to figure out what was happening with Firo.

Then, when Inna had a better look on his face, she immediately knew what happened.

Peanut allergies.

His face and eyes were swollen that he looked like his face got stung by a swarm of bees. And it seems like he has trouble breathing as an effect of his allergies.

Professor Gnarly immediately grabbed Firo by the collar and then he dug his hand inside his spatial pouch that he tied by his belt. Then, he pulled out some sort of leaves that was orange in color and placed them by Firo's nose. When Firo tried inhaling, he felt his constricted throat open up and let in some air. And after sniffing the leaves for a few seconds, Firo was finally able to breathe properly.

"Disqualified."

Professor Gnarly announced as he let go of Firo.

Utterly confused, Firo bowed towards Professor Gnarly.

"May this student have the chance to ask Professor Gnarly as to the reason why this student is to be disqualified?"

Professor Gnarly looked at him with annoyance in his eyes. But seeing the trembling form of Firo as he bowed, he relented and decided to answer him.

"You cannot proceed further. I temporarily stopped the symptoms of your sickness through the Relaxant leaves I had but if the effect of those leaves were to wear off, those symptoms will return as worse as before. There is a high chance of death from lack of air if you were to stay and be stubborn. And I cannot give you another dosage of these leaves or else your muscles might relax too much that you'll be immobilized for days."

"Besides, you are from Lotus class, are you not? Get out and go find your prefect. Only those priests and priestesses that had reached the Senior rank can cure the effects of those persistent diseases. Thus, your prefect is more than capable to fully heal those symptoms, not me nor anyone in this sanctuary."

Firo looked up, teary eyed from the missed opportunity he had but he nodded towards Professor Gnarly as he understood what he had to do. So, with heavy shoulders, he walked towards the exit of the testing area while sighing in dismay.

After Firo left, the audience finally calmed down and the test continued.

There were only four people left.

Inna, Galen, Herad, and Drona.

Drona was a silent maiden, and she never seemed to have cared about anything that has been happening on the table. It seemed like all she had in mind was to mind her own business and to simply pass. But feeling that something wrong is going to happen, she couldn't help but finally look towards the other students.

And when she did, she couldn't help but be suspicious of the sudden smile that appeared on Herad's face as he peered at Inna.

Inna Lovenhart was tricked by her friends to visit an event in Akihabara while she was in Japan. All because of their selfish request. 

Albeit furious, she decided to get it done and over with. But while doing so, she was chosen (more like forced) to be a participant for a publicity stunt.

They promised her a chance at reincarnation through a portal (which she believed was utter bull****).

But before she can react, she was pushed towards different worlds filled with scary beings, and evil greedy humans, while being chased by a King whose beauty and power cannot be compared to any mortal alive!

But wait a minute, what did that old kid just say?

hence breakfast went on without a hitch light chatter around the table but it was Phoenix who spoke up about the last couple days events reminding his brothers about the Ouija board about the book of shadows and also about the words he chanted the night before their Grandpa's funeral, poor Phoenix he tried so hard to explain to his older siblings about what they truly are but both older boys were having none of it Paxton on the other hand even if he had the look of static on his face did pay attention just a little bit but then pushed it to the back of his mind with the thought of his little brother just being over dramatic as always but things were going to change for Paxton for the past couple of days he was having a hard time reaching his boyfriend Michael and surprisingly Michael never showed up for the funeral service so putting all that together it was weighing a lot on Paxton's emotions and feelings and things were truly going to take a drastic turn but Paxton was just going to have to wait and see how his day unfolds...
As Phoenix spent his day in the basement with the book of shadows Preston made his way looking for a new job and Paxton on the other hand decided to head into town he had a scheduled interview for a very upscale bakery so with everything set and ready Paxton headed out the door jumped in his car and headed into town,

it was an hour later and Paxton's interview went well he was now the newly pastry chef and he couldn't be happier he was so happy that while driving being lost in his thoughts he didn't realize the light had changed to red and out of reflexes or some might say instincts his hands went in the air and that's when everything stood still everyone within a two block radius was frozen Paxton couldn't believe his eyes the whole street of wondering shoppers bustling office workers were frozen in their steps and poor Paxton was freaking out he whipped out his cell phone calling the only person he could think of at the time is their a little brother Phoenix the one who started it all.

Phoenix pov...

Hey bro I said to the receiving end of my cell phone on the other end was my big brother Paxton he kept screaming about things being frozen and just sounding totally hysterical,
he kept going on about what did I do he kept asking exactly what happened with the book of shadows and the words I chanted so I simply told him the words I chanted were to call a warlocks powers because truth be it that's what we were we were warlocks and not just any warlocks we came from a long line of witches and warlocks and to be precise we were considered The charmed ones or The charmed Brothers for better term after my long explanation to poor little Paxton it seemed that he had calmed for a tad bit and said we will continue our conversation when he got home but first he was going to stop by his boyfriend's Michael's apartment and with that our call ended.

After a few minutes of pulling himself together Paxton raised his hands one more time and time started back again he acted as much as possible as if nothing happened little did he know someone was watching his every move closely so after his little what should I say magic show he headed over to his boyfriend Michael's apartment, and Paxton got to Michael's apartment he was surprised to see candlelit dinner and aromic candles everywhere with Michael standing in the middle with two glasses of wine normally this would make Paxton heart flutter but something was off he kept questioning in his mind how did Michael know he'll be coming over he couldn't have known because for one he never had answered any of Paxton's calls so to say that Paxton was a little on guard was an understatement, but he made his way to the table taking his seat and smiling sweetly to Michael as if he wasn't bothered in the lease while they ate dinner Paxton begun to pay attention that Michael seemed a little on edge a little uneasy and then his suspicion of something being off really came into view one thing for sure Michael was jumpy and that in itself was a dead giveaway but being nice naive boyfriend that Paxton is he pushed it aside and after six glasses of wine he had completely forgotten about Michael's uneasiness and the unsettling feeling in his stomach putting everything to the back of his mind...

Paxton started feeling a little unsettled once again and decided it'll be best if he went home but Michael had other plans he kept trying to get Paxton to stay a little longer telling him they haven't had dessert or that he could just stay over spend the night as he normally did before but Paxton knew something was definitely up but he decided to just stay for dessert then he would leave,
While Paxton was sitting in the living room waiting for Michael to bring out the dessert and coffee he had this feeling that he should just check to see what kind of dessert Michael had so silently making his way to the kitchen what he saw made his blood run cold Michael wasn't setting up dessert or coffee their Michael stood in a cloak holding an antique looking knife whispering words while dipping said knife into what looks like blood the words he was whispering could not be heard by Paxton so Paxton decide to step out from his hiding place asking what are you doing Michael but when Michael turned around to look on his face screamed evil.

before Paxton could even realize what was happening his feet had already been moving making his way to the elevator but when the elevator seemed like it was taking forever he decided to head to the staircase exit with fire on his heels he ran taking out his cell phone calling Preston and Phoenix telling both his brothers about Michael with that the brothers were in motion Phoenix trying to explain that he thinks Michael is also a warlock or a demon with his hands around Preston's wrist they made it to the basement to the book of shadows trying to find something to keep Michael at Bay with the trio on the phone Phoenix had the boys repeat a few chanting words that would bind the demon but that only slowed Michael down which gived Paxton enough time to get home..

The food became cold and Lu Jingyi expression become gloomy. The two troublemakers made her day worse. She blamed herself for attracting trashes. 

Seeing Lu Jingyi was feeling down and blaming herself for ruining dinner even though it was not really her, Mo Zhexuan signaled the waiter to serve up the dessert.

The waiter saw the signal and immediately went to the kitchen. Dessert on the tray, he walked until he reached Mo Zhexuan and Lu Jingyi.

"Mr Mo, Miss Lu, your dessert is served. Bon Appétit."

The waiter served the dessert and bowed professionally before walking away.

Lu Jingyi, who was feeling down a moment ago, immediately brighten up when the dessert was served.

"This dessert is the owner's specialty called the triple flavour ice cream. This ice cream was made with the love of the owner to his wife. These three flavour he invented was three out of five of his wife's favourite."

While Lu Jingyi was taste tasting each flavour of the ice cream, Mo Zhexuan explained the origins of the ice cream.

"Wow, the owner was so romantic. His wife is lucky or should I say the owner was the lucky one. Hehe. This ice cream is delicious and unique. Each flavour was incredible. I never eaten something like this before."

Lu Jingyi eyes sparkled each bite she take. The bad mood was instantly wiped away and replaced with a blissful look eating the dessert.

Mo Zhexuan was relieved that she felt better. If not, he would find the two troublemakers and strangled them to death.

How dare they make his future wife sad!?

"Mo Zhexuan, about what we talked about, if you need help, just say so. I will cooperate until we can catch the mastermind."

"Of course. But, can you not call me by my full name. It sounds so distance. I feel like we're strangers." Mo Zhexuan was hoping to hear her calling his first name.

W-what!? He wanted her to call his name in a more intimate way? She will be embarrassed to death.

Mo Zhexuan would not give up. He wanted to hear it loud and clearly. 

"Hmm? Jingyi, I can't hear you."

"Z-zhexuan...." Lu Jingyi was so embarrassed that she can't look him in the eye. 

Jesus Christ. Her face was boiling and look like a red tomato. She never thought calling one's name could be so difficult. Or maybe because it's him that she had difficulty to pronounce it. 

Mo Zhexuan heard his name through a sweet, gentle and soft voice melting in his ears. He could listen to her calling his name all day. 

"Good girl." Mo Zhexuan smile with a hint mischievous. She looks cute when she's embarrassed. 

G-good girl!? Is she a dog? Damn him teasing her like that. She had nothing to retort. Boohoo... 

The rest of dinner was finished and they went for a walk hand in hand.

"Jingyi, it's been a month that you tried to date me. Is your answer ready?" 

Lu Jingyi frozen by the question. It's been that long? She was quite happy when she was with him. He always gave her a sense a security. Her heart always leap and uncontrollable towards him. 

Then, Lu Jingyi stopped and turned her head to face Mo Zhexuan. She gave him the brightest smile. 

"Yes. I'm ready. Although I can't say that I have fallen in love with you but I like being with you. I feel touched by every action you made with full of details. Sometimes I feel like you know me better than I do. I get this feeling when I'm with you, there will be surprises and joy. So, all  I know is that I want to be with you. Can you give some time to love you like you love me?"

After few days did not have shower, standing under warm water was very refreshing. In normal circumstance, Kenichi would stay for half an hour to enjoy the warm water. However, at this moment he was not in a mood to do that. He cleaned his body  and washed his hair as quick as posiblr and dried up.

He rushed to have shower and did not bring any of clean and fresh clothes. He wrapped the towel on his waist and took the smaller one to dry his hair. He went to their closet to get the new clothes. He frowned as he saw the half empty and lonely  space, only his clothes  left.  He put this clothes in hurry. 

As he walked on their bedroom, he saw the half full luggage unhappily.  It picked it and threw them casully inside the closet. He saw Cacha's favourite handbag on the bedsite table. He remembered she put the goldbar inside. He  took and and checked what else she put inside

Other than the gold bar,  passport,  her wallet and the print out of her e-ticket were there.

"Damn !!!"  he cursed him self. His wife was really ready to leave him.  If he was a little late, she surely had gone, left him behind. He took her passport and wallet away. He had to hide it properly, so she could not run away.

He  went to his study and put them inside his drawer on his desk. He was still unsecure yet. So, he locked it and put the key on his secret vault.
He smiled "She won't be able to find them" then he went down stair in excellent mood.

Cacha went to the kitchen to cook for Kenichi as soon as he went to the bathroom. She opened the refrigerator to check if there was anything available to cook but found nothing. All the vegetables went off, so she chucked them all to the bin.

 On the Freezer, she only had half pack of frozen gyoza. On the cabinet, she only had instant Ramen. She had no time to buy something out, so she just cooked the ramen and the gyoza.

When Kenichi came to the kitchen, Cacha was heating the pan.

He embraced her from behind and kissed her neck "What's the menu for today's lunch ?"
"Only frozen gyoza and instant Ramen left" 
"That's find. Let me cook the instant ramen" He took the pan, filled it with water and turned on  the stove.

While waithing for the water to be boild, he checked the fridge. The fridge was empty, only two dessert left. He checked them. one was already expired and one was expired today. Cacha loved dessert, it was unusual for her to let food waste like this.

Anyway, he threw the expired one on the bin. How surprise he was to see many rotten vegetables on the the bin. "Does she not eat well when he was away ?" He asked him self.

Since the water was ready, he was back to cook the noodle. "Do we still have rice ?" He asked.
"Not sure" She checked the rice cooker. 

There was about two serve of rice but it was not edible anymore. It was already spilled. She threw them to the bin "If you want some rice, it take a while to cook"

"It's okay. I just cook two pack of noodle then" 

It was in the middle of winter, cooked rise was not easy to get spill.  For him, it showed that Cacha did not eat for the last few day.. He signed and blamed no one but him self.

The noddle and gyoza were  ready. They sat facing each other on the dinning table. He filled his bowl with noddle and put one of gyoza on his mouth.
 "So yummy" he licked his lips to clear the stain of oil then looked up at his wife. 

Cacha just watched him eat, her bowl was still empty "did you not eat lately ?"
"Yu bought some for me, but I did not finish them. Why don't you eat ?"
She shook her head "I'm not hungry"

He moved to the chair next to her. He scoped some noodle and brough it in front of her lips "Eat some, Come on"

She reluctantly ate it. He  then feed gyoza to her. After three mouthfull of noodle and two pieces of gyoza, Cacha refused to eat anymore "I'm full"

"Full ?" 
"I did not eat properly lately, my stomach is not well"
"If you let your stomach empty, it will get worse. Have some more gyoza" He picked one and coaxed her to eat.
"Enough" After another pieces Cacha  could not have anymore. He did not force her too.

After he finished everything, he washed the dirty plates and cook wears. He carried her to the sofa on living room and went back to kitchen to get the last dessert.
"You're thinner" He carressed her cheeck after he feed her the dessert.
"oh.." Cacha said coldly

Kenichi stared at her. Her eyes were normally warm and bright, but today were very gloomy and sad. 
"I'm sorry. Really sorry. That day,  was already late, I just wanted you to go home and got rest. I chose the wrong word" He managed to recall what happened that night.

She could not utter words, they were stuck at her throat and she could not squeeze them out. Her eyes started waterly again.

He was panick "Don't cry. Babe, please don't cry.."
"are you really not going to divorce  me ?" She sobbed.
"Why should I ?"
"Because you have enough of me. I was too annoying and too cheap. I voluntarily follow you here like a cheap woman. I" Different scenarios were flashing in her mind.

Before her mind went further crazy, he stopped her by kissing her "Who are ever tell you that you're cheap ? huh ? tell me !! I'm going to chop them.  I was very happy when you agreed to come here with me, it was one of the blissful day in my life. If you refused, I determined to chase you and cling on to you.  Babe, You're my belove woman, I never have enough of you. Trust me, please"

She wiped her tears "If you ever say that hatefull words again in the future, I'm really going to leave you and never come back"

He smiled weakly and brought her head to his chest. He kissed her forehead "I won't. Never again"
"Promise ?!"
"promise" He sealed his promised with kisses in her lips.

He had not had her for days, the kisses sparked his desire. Anyway as the elder said in their wedding that if she was angry, just took her to the bed and did it until she was not angry anymore. 

He wanted to prove if that theory was effective or not.  So he did it with her there.

After on round in sofa, he took her to their bed room and showed his love to her with another round.

Lu Xinyi knew that Han Yixin had an advantage over her and wasn't surprised when she lost the first round of the cooking battle. She had to admit though that she was excited to see more from Han Yixin. That caramelized tower of cream puffs was really difficult to make, ah!
Making a croquembouche takes several steps, but it wasn't as difficult as it looks if one had enough experience. To be honest, Lu Xinyi found making the choux pastry puffs to be the most difficult part, the rest was incredibly fun!
Once the choux pastry puffs were made and filled, they were stacked together with a caramel sauce. The caramel acted like glue and allows the chef to build layers and layers of puffs. With Han Yixin's experience, she easily stacked these puffs and gave it a nice presentation.
She would slap someone who'd dare to say it was easy and not complicated to make. Lu Xinyi even got a minor burn from it. Checking her injury, Lu Xinyi was glad that it wasn't a serious one. One should really be careful when touching or working with heat.
Since the hardest dessert was already finished, she was confident to move on the second dessert of the day, her baked alaska.
Compared to croquembouche, baked alaska was an easy dessert to make; and it's quite versatile. The cake and ice cream could be cut or molded in a variety of shapes and sizes. One could make small, individual baked Alaska desserts or one large cake.
Most people didn't care what it took to make desserts, they just want them. However, aside from chocolate chip cookies and brownies, a lot of those desserts people shove into their mouths without a second thought took a lot of work to make; and that was a serious understatement.
Just like the word 'souffle' was enough to instill fear in the most experienced cooks. It wasn't that this dessert took a long time to make, but it's delicate. Temperamental, too!
Most favorite desserts took multiple steps to make, some take hours—even days, and then there are the ones that have to be intentionally—and very carefully—set on fire just before serving, just like the baked alaska.
Lu Xinyi took the ice cream dome out of the freezer and brushed some strawberry jam over the sponge cake. She then placed the sponge cake over the ice cream dome before returning it into the freezer.
For the last part of her baked alaska, Lu Xinyi made her meringue. She went with a Swiss meringue because it was more stable and less grainy than a regular French meringue. Once the meringue was ready, it was time for her to frost and decorate the cake.
Lu Xinyi checked the ice cream dome with a sponge cake on her freezer, making sure it was firm enough to work on. She flipped it upside down with the ice cream dome on top and slapped that marshmallow-like goodness, which was the meringue all over the ice cream dome.
To finish everything, Lu Xinyi doused her baked alaska with alcohol and lit the damn thing on fire using a kitchen blowtorch. It was a sight to behold. A sweet dessert was lit up with fire; the blue flames devoured it whole.
"Ohh… that looks so fancy. Han Yixin chose the traditionally go-to for achieving the 'baked' aspect of the baked alaska by putting it in an oven while Lu Xinyi chose to use the blowtorch to caramelize her meringue," the old man on the audience commented.
"Would Lu Xinyi's dessert will be alright after that?"
"By the way, old man, why doesn't the ice cream inside a baked alaska melt even it was lit on fire or baked inside the oven?"
Before the old man could explain the reason behind it, Han Yixin and Lu Xinyi served their baked alaska at the same time. Using two different approaches to making the dessert, the spectators wondered which one would be deemed better than the other.
The judges cut Han Yixin's baked alaska into three. Inside, lavender-colored ice cream was revealed. It was really eye-catching especially those who had a sweet tooth. The three judges tasted the baked alaska but didn't comment. They only tasted it twice before they moved to Lu Xinyi's baked Alaska.
When they cut the dessert, three layers of ice cream were revealed to the public: vanilla ice cream, raspberry sorbet and chocolate ice cream on top of a chocolate sponge cake. Since they were curious about what Lu Xinyi did to her baked alaska, the three judges couldn't help but ask.
Earlier, they ask Han Yixin to explain her croquembouche; now, it was Lu Xinyi's turn to explain her baked alaska.
"I made a three-layer version with three different flavors of ice cream: vanilla, chocolate, and raspberry sorbet. Unlike croquembouche, this isn't my first time making a baked alaska. My hus—boyfriend likes to try new desserts, and he asked me to try to make him one." Lu Xinyi mentally slapped herself. Ah, fortunately, she caught on her mistake.
"Since there is no particular rule on how many flavors of ice cream I could use, I chose the three that complemented each other but kept in mind to go for flavors that are less sweet or slightly tart because the meringue is already pretty sweet.
The second thing was the cake. I baked a sheet of chocolate sponge cake. It is light but dense enough to keep the ice cream from melting too much. The chocolate sponge cake I made is also less sweet, which is perfect with the ice cream and meringue."
'And with all the leftover cake scraps, it was perfect! I can have an early cake party for myself while cooking. Hahahaha!' She laughed mentally, not daring to share these words with the judges.
"What about the meringue you used? You chose the Swiss meringue over the French one," one of the judges asked as they continued to eat Lu Xinyi's baked alaska.
"It's because Swiss meringue is firm and slightly denser than the other types of meringue. It is also less grainy which added to its favorable factor."
"So Miss Lu, can you tell us why the ice cream inside a baked alaska doesn't melt even if one has to bake it?" Chef Feng tested Lu Xinyi again. He wondered how much talent this amateur cook had.
"Chef Feng, it all depends on the temperature of the ice cream used for this dessert. This classic dessert defies the laws of thermodynamics. The higher the temperature of the ice cream, the easier for it to reach its melting point a lot quicker. It is important to keep the ice cream as cold as possible while doing the dome." Lu Xinyi lifted a finger, explaining in a matter-of-fact tone. "If one can also keep the meringue layer thick enough, one should be able to make a dessert with a nicely caramelized meringue on the outside and delicious frozen ice cream on the inside."

Grinning mischievously, Rihlia asked, "How is Michael, anyway?"
"I don't know and I don't care." Why was Wiley baiting her? Jasmine scowled at her untouched dessert, muttering, "At least now I won't have to worry about avoiding him, either."
Urseya raised a brow at Keilor. You see? Now the truth comes out. He frowned at her. "Was it a very bad ending?" she inquired with cheerful interest.
Rihlia laughed and shook her head. "Only if you count telling the poor guy (on the phone, mind you) never to call her again and then hanging up before he could say anything about it."
"There was no point in dragging it out," Jasmine said with stiff dignity. Wiley was painting a rather ugly picture of her romantic life, and she didn't care for it one bit. Besides, what was she doing, dragging all the skeletons out of her closet in public like this? She didn't notice that the others at the table were beginning to look at Rihlia, wondering the same thing.
Rihlia did notice, but ignored it with determination. Jasmine would thank her later for dampening the interest of the males present. She didn't need their kind of attention. Jasmine deserved better, and she was determined to see her get it. "I guess it's like that poem you dedicated to poor Josh, huh? "'If they're gutless when you meet them, they'll be gutless 'til they die; the man was a mama's boy, so I left him there to cry.'"
Dead silence greeted her recital. Finally Jasmine said slowly, "You know, B.B., if you'd like to rehash old flames, I'm sure I could come up with a tale or two to amuse your family. Like that time I found you getting it on hot and heavy with..."
"Uh, that's ok, Jas," Rihlia hastily interrupted. Jasmine's threat was clear. Not only was she threatening to spill all of her secrets (not that they were excessive, just potentially embarrassing) but she would start calling her Blue Balls as well, the name given to her by frustrated boyfriends, and seal the humiliation. "We don't want to bore them with that." She glanced at the glowering Jayems and gulped. "Why don't you try the custard? It's really very good."
Jasmine gave her a look, but slowly lifted her spoon and tasted the treat.
Rihlia asked Jayems to refill her wineglass.
Noting her friend's distress and eager to lift the tension that had settled over the table, Jasmine snatched the glass before it could make it to Rihlia's trembling lips. She gave her a roguish smile. "Royalty really ought to have a taste tester, don't you think?" Grinning, she took a large swallow of the golden wine.
Rihlia laughed in grateful relief and shook her head. "Are you sure it's not the job of court jester you're after?" When there was no answer, she looked up and saw Jasmine frozen with an odd look on her face. "Jasmine?"
Jasmine blinked, but didn't move.
Rihlia touched her arm. It was rigid with strain. "Jasmine? Are you okay?"
Colors swam before Jasmine's frozen eyes. Her muscles went weak and then spasmed without warning, shattering the glass in her hand. Someone screamed. Male voices cursed as strong arms wrapped around her, giving her support. She felt the blood and wine flow over her hand, but could neither unclench her fist from the shards nor see, for the room began to blacken. Past the roaring in her ears she dimly heard Rihlia shouting...something…
And then the screaming began.

Keilor swore and leapt over the table the moment the glass shattered, but in spite of his best efforts and Fallon holding Jasmine steady, he could not unclench her hand, short of breaking it. Her body shuddered and the cords of her neck stood out with the strain as her muscles contracted, driving the shards deeper into her hand. Fresh blood flowed.
Rihlia screamed and fought against Jayems' hold as she struggled to reach her friend. In the background Keilor heard him telling her, "They are helping her! We have to stay out of their way."
"She's hurting!" she shrieked, nearly wild, and he dragged her back even farther.
"Love, sweet love…" he soothed, and his words faded into a murmur as Keilor pressed the tendons in Jasmine's hand to force it open. He worked quickly to pick out the largest fragments.
Jasmine moaned, a low, tortured sound. She rolled into a tight ball.
The first shriek caught him off guard. He saw Fallon pale and press his lips tightly together. Vengeance took up a war drum in his blood. He saw the same need mirrored in Fallon's hard eyes. Someone would pay for harming this woman, and pay dearly.

"She'll live," The medic announced as he entered the clinic waiting room. He nodded respectfully to the party of four who'd been waiting more than two hours for his verdict.
Keilor had just sat down from his last circuit of the room. He closed his eyes as some of the tension drained from him.
Rihlia lifted her head from her hands, exposing tear-swollen eyes. Her voice hoarse, she asked, "Will she be all right?"
The medic sighed and crossed his arms. "There is unlikely to be brain damage, and I believe that most of her organs will make a full recovery, but it's bound to be slow. The chemical we found in her blood is most deadly to humans. Frankly, I'm surprised she survived it."
Keilor sucked in a breath. Fallon swore softly and Jayems put a supporting arm around his wife. She allowed him to hold her as he kissed her hair and murmured soothing words, slowly shaking her head.
"What was it?" Keilor demanded.
The medic's lips tightened as he stared at the polished stone floor. "Its scientific name is Libran, but you might know it better as Sweet Surrender." He smiled without humor. "It would seem someone tried to slip your charmer an aphrodisiac, and ended up with a nasty surprise instead."
Keilor turned lethal eyes on Fallon, who was watching him with an equally savage expression. Each assessed and dismissed the other as suspects. Fallon was far too proud to resort to such an underhanded scheme, and as for Keilor...he held no love for Libran.
"But...it happened after she drank from my glass," Rihlia ventured uncertainly.
"The dessert," Jayems said with grim conviction. "She took a bite of the dessert just before she drank from your cup, Rihlia. If you hadn't been distracting her…" He glanced at Keilor. "But who and why? No one was going to get past the guards at her door without my permission, so even if she was drugged, they would have had a hard time seducing her. And if it wasn't one of us…"

Grinning mischievously, Rihlia asked, “How is Michael, anyway?” 

“I don’t know and I don’t care.” Why was Wiley baiting her? Jasmine scowled at her untouched dessert, muttering, “At least now I won’t have to worry about avoiding him, either.” 

Urseya raised a brow at Keilor. You see? Now the truth comes out. He frowned at her. “Was it a very bad ending?” she inquired with cheerful interest. 

Rihlia laughed and shook her head. “Only if you count telling the poor guy (on the phone, mind you) never to call her again and then hanging up before he could say anything about it.” 

“There was no point in dragging it out,” Jasmine said with stiff dignity. Wiley was painting a rather ugly picture of her romantic life, and she didn’t care for it one bit. Besides, what was she doing, dragging all the skeletons out of her closet in public like this? She didn’t notice that the others at the table were beginning to look at Rihlia, wondering the same thing. 

Rihlia did notice, but ignored it with determination. Jasmine would thank her later for dampening the interest of the males present. She didn’t need their kind of attention. Jasmine deserved better, and she was determined to see her get it. “I guess it’s like that poem you dedicated to poor Josh, huh? “’If they’re gutless when you meet them, they’ll be gutless ‘til they die; the man was a mama’s boy, so I left him there to cry.’” 

Dead silence greeted her recital. Finally Jasmine said slowly, “You know, B.B., if you’d like to rehash old flames, I’m sure I could come up with a tale or two to amuse your family. Like that time I found you getting it on hot and heavy with...” 

“Uh, that’s ok, Jas,” Rihlia hastily interrupted. Jasmine’s threat was clear. Not only was she threatening to spill all of her secrets (not that they were excessive, just potentially embarrassing) but she would start calling her Blue Balls as well, the name given to her by frustrated boyfriends, and seal the humiliation. “We don’t want to bore them with that.” She glanced at the glowering Jayems and gulped. “Why don’t you try the custard? It’s really very good.” 

Jasmine gave her a look, but slowly lifted her spoon and tasted the treat. 

Rihlia asked Jayems to refill her wineglass. 

Noting her friend’s distress and eager to lift the tension that had settled over the table, Jasmine snatched the glass before it could make it to Rihlia’s trembling lips. She gave her a roguish smile. “Royalty really ought to have a taste tester, don’t you think?” Grinning, she took a large swallow of the golden wine. 

Rihlia laughed in grateful relief and looked down, shaking her head. “Are you sure it’s not the job of court jester you’re after?” When there was no answer, she looked up and saw Jasmine frozen with an odd look on her face. “Jasmine?” 

Jasmine blinked, but didn’t move. 

Rihlia touched her arm. It was rigid with strain. “Jasmine? Are you okay?” 

Colors swam before Jasmine’s frozen eyes. Her muscles went weak and then spasmed without warning, shattering the glass in her hand. Someone screamed. Male voices cursed as strong arms wrapped around her, giving her support. She felt the blood and wine flow over her hand, but could neither unclench her fist from the shards nor see, for the room began to blacken. Past the roaring in her ears she dimly heard Rihlia shouting...something… 

And then the screaming began.

Keilor swore and leapt over the table the moment the glass shattered, but in spite of his best efforts and Fallon holding Jasmine steady, he could not unclench her hand, short of breaking it. Her body shuddered and the cords of her neck stood out with the strain as her muscles contracted, driving the shards deeper into her hand. Fresh blood flowed. 

Rihlia screamed and fought against Jayems’ hold as she struggled to reach her friend. In the background Keilor heard him telling her, “They are helping her! We have to stay out of their way.” 

“She’s hurting!” she shrieked, nearly wild, and he dragged her back even farther. 

“Love, sweet love…” he soothed, and his words faded into a murmur as Keilor pressed the tendons in Jasmine’s hand to force it open. He worked quickly to pick out the largest fragments. 

Jasmine moaned, a low, tortured sound. She rolled into a tight ball. 

The first shriek caught him off guard. He saw Fallon pale and press his lips tightly together. Vengeance took up a war drum in his blood. He saw the same need mirrored in Fallon’s hard eyes. Someone would pay for harming this woman, and pay dearly.

“She’ll live,” The medic announced as he entered the clinic waiting room. He nodded respectfully to the party of four who’d been waiting more than two hours for his verdict. 

Keilor had just sat down from his last circuit of the room. He closed his eyes as some of the tension drained from him. 

Rihlia lifted her head from her hands, exposing tear-swollen eyes. Her voice hoarse, she asked, “Will she be all right?” 

The medic sighed and crossed his arms, rocking back on his heels. “There is unlikely to be brain damage, and I believe that most of her organs will make a full recovery, but it’s bound to be slow. The chemical we found in her blood is most deadly to humans. Frankly, I’m surprised she survived it.” 

Keilor sucked in a breath. Fallon swore softly and Jayems put a supporting arm around his wife. She allowed him to hold her as he kissed her hair and murmured soothing words, slowly shaking her head. 

“What was it?” Keilor demanded.
