She kept thinking that the end of the world would be a zombie apocalypse. She can't help but think of it. Maybe because she was influenced by the video games she played and the animes that she watched. 

She kept imagining what if... the end of the world would really be a zombie apocalypse wherein people fight zombies everyday. It would be a survival!

Well, it's not that Sheloah likes fighting all the time... it's just that she yearned for some action in life since everything for her seemed a little boring!

She imagined getting guns, shooting all zombies down... holding a knife, slashing the zombies by their neck or chest... kicking and punching them... killing zombies by groups then people would make their group bigger. 

'Ain't it awesome?' Sheloah thought to herself.

But if a zombie apocalypse would happen, would it be like the games she played or the animes and movies that she watched?

In High School of the Dead,  it started in school. In the anime Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka, the zombies were vulnerable to sunlight. 

In the game Left 4 Dead, there were various types of zombies such as the Tanker and the zombies in that game could run whereas in Call of Duty Black Ops, the zombies there would be slow at first before they could speed up. In Zombie House and in Resident Evil, the zombies can even use weapons.

In movies like World War Z once a person was bitten by a zombie, they turn into a zombie for a span of 12 seconds or sometimes for 6-12 minutes depending on the person who was bitten. For Warm Bodies when zombies eat brains, they could feel how it was to be human again by looking into their targets memories through the brains they feed.

There are a lot of theories about zombies from animes, games and movies... but from all these, they all share one thing in common...

Zombies react to noises. 

Sheloah sighed as these thoughts circulated in her mind. She was not paying attention in class because she found it boring that's why she decided to let these thoughts come and distract her for her own amusement. 

She thought what if a person became a zombie. Will the cure be like in World War Z that people would need to inject some illness so they won't be noticed by zombies? In Warm Bodies, should people smell and act like a zombie so they won't be attacked by zombies?

There are a lot of things people don't know about zombies. Heck, how can people know about them? A zombie apocalypse didn't even happen in real life. These zombie stories are just figments of people's imagination.

Sheloah shook her head a little as she thought of this but still, she thought that this can still be a possibility. 

She looked outside the window near her seat and thought: if a zombie apocalypse were to happen, would the information from the games she played and the movies and animes she watched, be useful?

Sheloah stopped thinking for a while and looked at the board in front of her. She is already a fourth year high school student and like a typical student, she found every lesson, especially the first period in class, boring. 

She gave herself a sigh as she continued looking at the board but their attention was stolen when suddenly, a bang was heard from their classroom door. The students looked at who it was and noticed the guard of their school with extreme panic on his face. 

'What's wrong?'

"You are the first and nearest section that I can warn this about," the guard said and the students started to whisper.

Sheloah looked at Veon, her seatmate who was also her friend. She smiled at him and said, "Do you think there's a suspension of classes because of the guard's panic?"

Veon chuckled slightly. "I think so... if it's the reason why he panicked," he said and they both looked at the guard again.

"What's the problem," the adviser of their class asked as the guard took a deep breath.

"Escape now," he said as he rested his body on the door's frame. Everyone's face started to show uncertainty as to why the guard of the school had said that. 

"Huh? What do you mean," the adviser of the class asked again and the guard now looked at the teacher with a serious expression, with panic evident in every word he said.

"Just run! Something happened with the other guard I am with when he was bitten by a dog a while ago," he said then suddenly everyone in class became noisy. 

Sheloah looked at Veon and he looked surprised and dumbfounded as well by the news they just heard.

The guard changed because a dog bit him? What does he mean? Does the dog have rabies? Why is this happening in school, of all places?

"Wait, sir, you're saying--"

The adviser didn't get to finish what she was about to say when they suddenly saw a person pulling the guard away and bit him. Everyone in class was surprised; they shouted as they watched the scene. The class president of the school calmed himself down before he shut the door tightly. 

They heard the guard screaming for his life. They saw his blood splattered on the classroom window and a lot of the students now had fear taking toll on their body. Their body started shaking in fear and some were even crying. 

Sheloah stood up as she held her mouth with her right hand.

'I was just thinking about zombie apocalypse a while ago and now... is it becoming a reality?' Sheloah thought to herself as they saw the commotion happening outside their classroom through the window.

'What are we going to do?'

It was an unexpected situation. They were just quiet, listening in class, then suddenly, the world changed.

Zombie Apocalypse.

Are you ready to survive, fight for your life, and strive in order for you not to die?

Are you willing to carry a knife, hold a gun, and kill zombies even though they may be your family, friends, or someone you know?

It's your choice.

You may choose to survive or if you are too scared, you may choose to die and become a zombie.

But if you have chosen to survive...

You are already part of the "Army of True Salvation."

After some minutes, we arrived at our destination in which I and Rith will bond and have some fun. After arriving, I am a bit confused as to why Rith brought us here.
"SM?" I asked
"Yup, we are going to have so much fun. Trust me will you." She exclaimed.
Rith is pulling me inside the wall. After some walks, I saw an ice rink with people enjoying skating in. I began to feel the excitement as I saw that ice rink.
"We're skating?" I asked with full of excitement.
"Yep, I know you will love it. It has been years when we had our last skating activities. This will let you free your mind from stress. So, my best friend, let's have some fun and forget all our problems for the day." she grabbed me with a smile, and we run towards the entrance and paid to get in the ice rink.
We paid for the 30 minutes time. While wearing my skate boats, I am reminiscing about the past where we started skating when we were in France. Ice skating is one of our hobbies. We skate three times a month. It was just an idea by Rith to try skating that time for fun because there was a nearby ice rink from our school. We had difficulty at first but after a while, we kind of enjoy doing it. Some professional skaters are also practicing there, and we became friends. They introduced some tricks and skills in skating, and it became our hobby eventually. The cold atmosphere and because of the feeling of having freedom during we skate made us love it. We feel like a free bird after being trapped in a cage full of expectations and pressure from our parents.
Eventually, we began to skate. We were chasing each other, doing some tricks, skating while holding hands, and many more. We rested a couple of minutes after. I began to observe my surroundings. Many people are skating too. There is a family, best friends, a squad, some couples, and some kids.
"Thank you," I said to her as I hugged her from behind.
"No problem, Sam. I am happy to spend this day with you. And I will promise that you will have fun as we will have a fun memory together again" She grabbed me, and we skate again. We just did that for a while until our time is over.
We are walking to find a place to eat. We decided to go to a fast-food store to eat. It's been years that we ate our favorite fast food, Jollibee. It's been a ritual for us if we have problems that we will eat Jollibee. But, because we are busy with our own companies and business, we couldn't eat them even if we are stressed. Also, we eat together and that rule of us prevents us to eat our Jollibee favorites if we are apart.
We entered, and we decided that Rith will order our usual favorites while I will get our table. It was not really that hard to find some seats especially because it is just the two of us. I wait patiently for Rith to come. The store was a bit busy because there are many costumers and the stares are also there especially boys who are checking me out and some girls who are looking at me with their eyebrows high. I just didn't mind them. After some minutes, Rith arrived.
" Guess what?" she said as she arrived at our table
"What?" I laughed
" I got a free small sundae. And I didn't know why. Haha," she laughed.
" Don't joke around. You knew why. This is not known to use getting free food either one of us is getting our food." This is true that we can get free food sometimes either one of us is ordering. Its either a small sundae, peach mango, tuna pie, or even regular fries.
"These stares are killing me" Rith whispered.
" Haha. You should be used to it. We are a beautiful maiden made by heaven, my friend."
" I know that. Our genes are made up of perfection, but we are not perfect. It really creeps me out sometimes you know."
" I know. Just savor our food." I said, and we just ate our food and about a couple of minutes, we are done eating.
Rith then grabbed me to the elevator. We are going up. After the door opened, we walked for a while until Rith stopped, and she faced me with some genuine smile and grabbed me again.
" The fun is just starting my friend." and we entered the arcade.
We first bought an unlimited card in which we can play as many games as we want. First, we enjoy playing some shooting game where we are shooting some zombies. This game has some story about some zombie apocalypse. And my score was perfect as I killed all the zombies. Rith just got a few mistakes but her score was also high. Next, we played some car and motorcycle games. We had a few races until we decided to go to the next games. We went to a basketball game. We shared just one cubicle so we can play together. We are not that good playing, and we had many misses but the experience was fun.
After that, we decided to do the claw machine where stuff toys can be obtained. For some tries, we had some difficulty until we get a hang of it. We take turns in playing. Rith was the first one to get the stuffed toy. It was a carrot stuff toy and eventually, I got one, a banana stuff toy. All toys there are in small sizes which are adorable. We played more until we had the completed getting each one type of toy there. All in all, we have a banana, carrot, strawberry, apple, leek, onion, garlic, and tomatoes.
" Are you tired?" Rith asked
" Kind of but I'm still up for some things you had a plan. So, what's next?" I asked while we are currently resting and drinking some water.
" Do you want to sing?" She asked mischievously.
" You bet!" I exclaimed. We first rested for a bit before going to the KTV which is also inside the arcade. We booked a private room and order some snacks and some refreshments. We picked so many songs and sang them together. The songs were a bunch of rock n rolls, mellows, sweet, joyful, and some sad. We really sing our hearts out.
After our singing session, we go to a spa parlor to relax. We had a full body massage. The atmosphere is really relaxing as the place is surrounded by nature and the smell of scented candles added to the relaxed vibe. The massage was approximately 30 minutes and I didn't notice the time because I fell asleep. I really need this relaxation as I may encounter a bad situation for tomorrow's event.
I hope I can get the item I want and to go and leave that place peacefully. We arrived at Rith's pad at 6:30 pm. I let her rest and enjoy some movies in the living room as cooked our dinner. I really love to cook any kind of dish. But I am really into sweets. I am just lucky as I made my own pastry shop. But my parents have a pastry shop that I am managing until now. It is also known to people. The name of their shop is Sweet Laurel. It has 5 branches and the main branch is in France the same as mine. 
Thankfully they let me have my own company while I also manage theirs. My pastries are my own creation while the Sweet Laurel's pastries were handed through generations. It may be passed down to my so-called "brother" who is a black sheep.
He didn't enter the family business, and we don't know what he is doing as he always has the money that we don't know where he gets. He is happy because all the responsibility was all given to me. It should be his but he rejected and run away. But, he still sees us but does not live at or parents' house. I also don't live there but some of my things are there as I am going there on some occasions especially their birthdays and family gatherings.
I finished cooking and went to the living room to call Rith. As I am going there, I watch my best friend crying because of the movie, A walk to remember by Nicholas Sparks.
" You watched it many times and you still cry, every time" I pointed to her as she is wiping her tears.
" I know and it still breaks my heart every time!" she exclaimed. I just laughed at her.
"Sam?" she called me.
" Yes?" I asked as I sit on the couch with her.
" Why did you agree to have a date with the Stockholm's heir?" she asked
"It is hard to believe that I am really curious about him especially that he is a member of Comrade. It was really late that he is our rival as he introduced himself to me." I honestly said to her.
" Why are curious?" she faced me.
"Now that I know why he is a member of Comrade and where he belongs, I am now curious if he knows about IT. And if he is involved. It will help me to know if he is also an enemy. I don't want to involve someone just because his blood runs from their family, I want to know if he is innocent so that I will not harm him if he is really not involved."
" Tomorrow, you will find it out, right?"
" Yes, tomorrow is like a revelation of a new man that could be an enemy of my empire."

Enchanting Caramel

I'm eating my most successful work, a caramel. My oh sweet caramel. And I just couldn't think straight because of its sweetness. And many people want to grasp my piece of work. You will know why. But before that, let me tell you a brief summary of my life today.

I thought that when I meet Prince Charming, all my sufferings and problem will be solved. I will soar high and have wings to do what I want that the cruel world didn't give me.

But everything changes when I met him. The only successor of our rival. He brings out the wild side of me. And as I shyly cross my legs because of this guy in front of me, my body felt that sudden heat that I didn't know that I have.
What is this feeling that I have? Or maybe it’s just my sweet caramel that I just ate?

Will I be able to avoid him? From Romeo that has his Juliet on his grip? Or I will run away again leaving my glass slippers?

Oh, I don't know. Just read my story for you to have the answer.

L: "Haha, thank you."
B: "What are your plans for today."
L: "Just drinking home alone."
B: "Why don't you come along to Dave and Buster's with my family and me. My mom wanted to invite you since you did a lot for our family recently and for my birthday party and it's your birthday today and they wanted to celebrate if you are free. So what do you think?"
L: "I don't know... There isn't any beer."
B: Have you not been there? They all sorts of alcohol."
L: "Okay, I am in!"
B: "Good! My mom will send you the details."
My parents and I are waiting for Lucas to show up. We are in the game room where the bar and seats are. My mom and dad got a booth so we can come and go as we please.
My mom gets up from the booth. "Good, you're here! Happy birthday!"
"Thanks for having me," Lucas says, hugging her.
My dad gets up. "Happy birthday, bud." He says, patting him on the shoulder.
"Thank you."
"I will be at the bar." My dad answers, shifting to my mom.
"Honey, can you get me a strawberry mango margarita."
"Of course, sweetheart. Do you want anything, Lucas?" My dad askes him. 
"Yeah, but I will meet you at the bar in one second."
"Will do, son." He says, stepping away.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom before drinking the margarita. You know what happens when I drink..." My mom says, kissing me on the cheek.
"You do that mom," I say, smiling. I turn to Lucas. "Sucks that I can't drink with you guys."
"You can... in about four years." He says, sliding into the booth.
I slide in across from him. "That is sooo long though."
"There's nothing special about it." He says, shrugging off the fact that he is lying.
"Then why do you drink like my father," I question him.
"How am I supposed to answer that? I assume I shouldn't take that as a compliment "
"Well, duh, it's not a compliment. My dad drinks like he is a part-time alcoholic, and I'm thankful he doesn't get angry."
"Drinking gets rid of the problems. It relaxes some people."
"What do you have to be stressed about?"
"Uh... Let's change the subject." He says nervously.
There is a silence between us. I think I was too harsh and triggered something from his past.
He slightly leans over the table. "You have a little something." He says, licking his thumb and wiping the side of my cheek.
"What was that for?" I say, wiping his salvia off my cheek.
"You had a lipstick stain on your cheek from your mom."
"Oh, haha, thanks." I place my hands on my lap. "Well, anyway I know you are here for the beer and obviously me of course, but I got you a power card so you can join me in games. There are 135 chips on the card."
"Okay, cool. I can't wait!"
"You're not going to fight me on this?"
"No, I'm too excited about the booze, and when I play games with you, I'll be all relaxed like I said earlier about being intoxicated.
I roll my eyes. "alcoholic."
"Not a chance. I don't drink every day. Just on special events, with friends or some random days that I feel like it. You know that."
I look over to my dad at the bar. "My dad is waiting for you."
"Alright, see you later, sweetcheeks." 
I roam around, looking for my first game. I found one of my favorites, the pirate wheel. You spin the wheel, and when it lands on a specific number, that's the tickets you receive. I spin the wheel a couple of times and went to search for another one. I'm now shooting basketballs into the net.
 I mutter to myself. "Ugh, what cant I make one."
A pair of hands intervenes in my game and they take a ball and make a hoop.
I look over. "Lucas? What are you doing?"
"Shooting hoops with you."
"You took my last ball before the time ended."
"At least you made one."
I look over to the scoreboard and laugh. "I suck."
"Yeah, you do." He says weirdly.
"Was I suppose to take that the other way."
"Someone has a dirty mind."
I lick my lips. "It does not help that you are around."
He leans to my ear. "What are you trying to do to me?"
I smirk. "What do you mean?"
He squints his eyes in silence. "Let's find a game we can both play together."
I look around. "Let's go play The Walking Dead game!"
"I didn't take you as a zombie girl."
"I'm a lot of things. Let's go." I say, grabbing his hands and leading him to the game.
We slide back the curtains and left the game seat and let different people play. We were in there for a while. I overspent more chips on there than I desired too but this game is addictive. 
"Should we go back to the booth for food?"
"Yeah, sounds like a good idea. I am hungry." He responds.
"You guys having fun?" My mom asks us both.
"Yeah, but we are starving," I say, speaking for us both.
"Go ahead and order, we were about to anyway."
I ordered a grilled chicken alfredo, Lucas ordered the buster's cheeseburger, my mom ordered  grilled chicken avocado ranch sandwich, and for my dad, he ordered boneless buffalo wings with fries. We ate our delicious food and now our bellies are full. Mine feels like I'm going to explode. 
"So, mom, are you going to join me in a few games before we head out?"

"Sure! Let's get cleaned up and we can go." She says, putting her napkin and silverware on her empty plate.
My mom and I played a couple of games that she liked. It was Deal or No Deal, The Price Is Right, and skee ball. Lucas and I are now in the gift shop searching for something to take our tickets away.
"As your boyfriend, I'm giving you this adorable pink bear."
"Hehe, thank you, boyfriend. This will be our kid."
"Mm... I'm a daddy now. What should we name our daughter?"
"Avery," I say, looking at it.
"I like that name a lot." He says, smiling.
"You guys ready?" My mom says, waiting outside of the shop.
"Yep," I say, walking out with my non-biological daughter.
We said our goodbyes outside.
"Thank you all for inviting me."
"No problem! Don't be a stranger. Come by when you like. You remind me of my son."
I look over at my mom. She has never mentioned my brother since the accident. We hardly talk about him. Well never. No one knows except for close family members.
"I will come by soon. Bye Frank, thanks for being my drinking partner."
"I could say the same to you bud."
"Lord, we are sounding like we are saying goodbye forever."
We all laugh.
"We should get going." My mom says, pulling her purse over her shoulder.
He pulls his keys out of his pocket. "Drive safe," Lucas says, walking away to his car.

Bella dreams of her former teacher more often than she intends too. Her small kid crush on a teacher from six grade turns real when Mr. Till comes to fill in for Mrs. Channing, her biology teacher.

21st January 2020
Today my plan was to find myself some firearms in the city.I have been relying on melee weapons for a while now but a gun would be quick for the kill.If i ever get exhausted or get badly injured i would need a gun for the quick job.Yesterday,on the roof i tested the grappling gun and it worked perfectly but i would need to be precise with my aim not only with the grapple gun but also with my pistol.I unlocked 5 new skills with my 5 skill points.The first skill i choose was "Aim assist" just like in a first person shooting game a plus sign appears before my eyes giving me better accuracy and it activates whenever i hold a gun.Second skill "Quick shot" whenever i start firing a gun its like time becomes slow for 2 seconds allowing me to shoot faster,best skill for a cowboy type standoff duel like those in the movies.Third skill "crafting" the skill i would need in order to make things with this skill i was able to  repair my leather holster of my pistol and make a new one as well.Fourth skill "Blacksmith" allows me to build and repair armor and weapons.The internet wasn't out yet and even better the mainframe in the facility had unlimited internet access cause of the use of a satellite.Yesterday i checked on youtube how i can repair my weapons just by seeing the video once i managed to repair each of my knives easily.And finally the last skill armored body allows my body to become strong enough to withstand strong blows but for only 5 seconds and i can used it 10 times after that this skills takes 2 hours to recharge.
I geared up i wore the survival suit and it was the real deal i tried stabbing it ,shooting it and i barely made a scratch on it.I put on my leather hoody jacket,and boots alongside my utility belt also known as the batman belt.When i looked at myself in the mirror i kinda looked the red hood but without the helmet and my jacket was black.I equipped my grapple gun,tanto knife,pistol,a few explosives and my hidden blade,i also wore my leather gloves so just in case the zombie bite don't reach my hand.My objective for today was first to loot the nearest gun shop and the mart.Those 2 places were near each other and it was only a 1 hour drive.Why of course,i was looting a gun shop cause the guns in my gamer shop cost a lot of points.Pistols cost higher than 2000 g points,Rifles higher than 3000 g points and big guns like lmg and hmg higher than 10000 g points.I need to save points and get free guns by facing danger and hardship by almost getting myself killed which is a bad idea but i think its gonna be worth it.
I went down to the garage to find myself a suitable ride i was hoping for a motorcycle  but the garage had a few cars.I took the blue colored porsche 911 and drove out. Azrael did taught me how to drive when i was 12.I made it near the place and stopped.I stored the car in my inventory and went ahead.While running i found a police squad car i looked in through the window and saw the cop dead on the driver seat.I pulled out my knife just in case if he's a zombie got his body out of the car and loot him.I found a pistol a glock-22 and 3 magazines with 15 rounds in each,hand cuffs,a metal baton and mint flavored tic tacs.I took his badge and used it to open the trunk.Cops in silver city have key cards installed in their badges by which they get access to the police database and even opened their trunks but if someone tries to rob a police car an alarm goes off which is bad especially in this situation.I looked inside the trunk and found a duffle bag.I sat inside the car just to be safe and looked inside it.I know what cops carry in these bags and i looked for the things i wanted a plate carrier police vest holding 3 magazines of an assault rifle and med kit and an assault rifle "colt M4 carbine".This one came with a 1.4 magnification scope and best of all a silencer which was good for me.I also took the cop's gun holster.I looked at the man's ID his name was Marvin Green "Thanks for the stuff Marvin,rest in peace" i said feeling sorry for this man why was i sad i looked into his wallet and found a picture of him and his family,must be his wife and kids.I zipped my jacket put on the police vest, carried the rifle on my back and continued moving to my destination. I arrived near the store and looked only a few zombies were walking and crawling near the store.Big joe's gun store one of the most popular gun stores in silver city.That place probably has more than 1000 guns in store.The front entrance had metal fences and if i break the glass the alarm might go off.So i have to go in from the roof,i used the grapple gun and got on top."Damn, this gun is awesome".I went to the roof door, it was a good thing it wasn't looked.I went down stairs and i was in the store.I was looking around and this place was filled with guns lots and lots of guns"Nice! looks like its Christmas".You know whats the best thing about an apocalypse first come first serve,dibs and every things free.I looked around and started storing everything into my inventory one by one.I have been to gun stores many times and always took a brochure.I always wanted to own a great number of guns but i wasn't legal.I first need to turn 18,then get an ID,and then get a gun license.Wonder how i got my first gun glock-26 it was a gift from Azrael it arrived in a parcel on my 15th birthday.Owning my first gun was the best day of my life.After watching and playing all those gun movies and games i always wished to own a gun and Azrael fulfil my wish. Azrael and grandfather taught me how to shoot a gun thats why i am a good shot.I was planning that after i am done with my education i would own my own gun store with an indoor shooting range and a game store next to an arcade which would be so cool."Now its important to practice"i went to the roof to target practice and play with my guns.I had over 1017 guns and 126 melee weapons knives,machetes and hatchets in my inventory and had over 12000 rounds of ammo and i can get more from the gamer shop.I pulled out an AR-15 the "Falkor Petra",a magnum caliber rifle with one shot guaranteed head remove.I aimed and was just about to shoot until i heard a gunfire.I wasn't the one who shot it,i think there must be a survivor.

Niam Walker is an ordinary kid living a diurnal mundane life. He did not expect to wake up and find himself in an unforeseen circumference: a zombie apocalypse combined with having a supernatural ability called the "Gamer", the ability to turn your reality into a game.
Rather than having the dire rush of saving the world, he is rather enliven to survive the thrilling apocalypse.

Kenneth looked at Mendell in bewilderment when he heard the young man's loud voice. "What's going on?!"
"I don't know if the Queen Leech has its eyes on us but you just have to know that it's a dangerous one." Mendell continued his investigation and found out that these new creatures were not moving at all, as if waiting for something. If his suspicion was correct, then they were the mutated leeches controlled by the Queen Leech. If they were the target of these bloodsuckers, then there must have been several monitor cameras installed somewhere in this facility, allowing the Queen Leech to observe their movements as soon as they entered this strange facility. "Can you drive the tram faster?"
Kenneth shook his head. "This is already its fastest speed."
"Okay." Mendell sensed that there were movements from the side of the monsters. Several groups were coming toward their direction while a large chunk of their numbers was going farther ahead. "Brace yourself. They're coming. Follow me."
Mendell ran to the other side of the tram and kicked the door open to make an escape route if they were overwhelmed inside the tram. He then asked, "Do you still have some ammo?"
Kenneth took out several ammunitions from his vest. "Here, take this. I still have ammo for my gun."
Mendell received the ammo and reloaded his gun right away. He tried using his soul power to hide his customized weapon and he succeeded, much to his surprise. When he cast the ability on the Samurai Edge, it also disappeared.
Then a blinking sword icon appeared at the top left part of the Night Vision Shades. He activated it via soul power and the sword icon transformed into four squares, with the first three having small images of a log, a spear, and a gun respectively. The last box, on the other hand, was empty.
Mendell recalled that in games, players could set their weapons, items, or spells in the quickslot for easy access. He suspected that these boxes were actually quickslots. Too bad, there was not enough time to experiment right now because the leeches were coming. He summoned his gun once again and prepared himself for the incoming threat.
Kenneth followed behind, not fully comprehending the threat that they were facing, as he aimed his gun forward. When he saw Mendell magically vanishing the weapons on his hand, he simply sighed, accepting the fact that the young man was superhuman.
Mendell waited for Kenneth to reach him before explaining. "We're gonna fight small mutated leeches. Watch out for any falling leeches from above. As much as possible, don't let it touch you. And close your mouth at all cost unless necessary."
Kenneth clenched his teeth when he knew that they were fighting leeches. "As if the spider's not enough, now there are also leeches, huh..."
Mendell did not talk anymore. With their backs against each other, they waited for the monsters to come. The Queen Leech did not disappoint them because a few minutes later, they heard several crashing sounds from the rooftop.
At once, leeches began to fall, covering the tram rooftop, glass covers, and window glasses.
Kenneth's eyes widened when he saw the leeches for the first time. Some were stuck on the glass windows, opening their mouth filled with sharp teeth and secreting juices to melt the glasses. He almost screamed when he witnessed the terrible scene happening before him, wherein the leeches were dropping on the floor like they were raindrops. The rooftop was now filled with holes. He was about to shoot several of them when a number of leeches fell on his vest. "Aaah!"
Mendell looked behind and grabbed the leeches as fast as he could and threw them against the floor, squashing their puny bodies, while shouting, "Don't open your mouth unless necessary! They're like dicks who wanna penetrate any opening so shut your hole!"
Kenneth closed his mouth right away and swatted the remaining leeches as he aimed his gun. Then he started shooting the leeches randomly while checking above from time to time.
Mendell killed several leeches that leaped toward him, stomped those that were near his feet, and swatted the falling leeches with his free hand.
But they kept on coming. Mendel knew that if they could not eliminate these leeches fast, sooner or later, they would be overwhelmed.
Left without a choice, Mendell opted to do his last option. He grabbed Kenneth and jumped out of the tram through the opening he created earlier. With the help of his soul power, he then used his second conjuration skill for the first time - the All-Purpose vehicle.
This was one of the two things he had activated when his soul assimilated with his other self's soul, the first one being the Night Vision Shades.
At once, a 4-capacity small aircraft shuttle magically appeared in the air and caught the two falling people.
"Aaagh! My wounds!" Kenneth could not help but scream when his wounds were hit as he crashed on the empty chair just behind the driver's seat.
Mendell landed facedown on the spot beside the driver's seat. He did not waste time and transferred to the driver's area. Thanks to his other self's memory, he knew how to operate this futuristic vehicle that came from the original Earth. After a few tweaking, he adjusted some knobs and accelerated.
Kenneth was still in agony, seeing that the bandage on his right leg loosened and it was stained with fresh blood. The pain almost stopped him from moving but he gritted his teeth and gathered his strength until he was able to sit properly. He took a deep breath, knowing that he was safe for now, thanks to Mendell. Even though the last one he witnessed was like science fiction, he chose to keep mum and waited until the young man would explain himself.
Mendell had no time for any distraction, steering the aircraft to reach their destination. As much as possible, he did not want to use it. Before he leveled up, he once attempted to summon the All-Purpose vehicle but he almost fainted right away. It was because the vehicle used soul power as fuel to operate. This simply meant that as soon as his soul power was used up, the vehicle would disappear instantly and he would faint as well. He knew that his soul power was not high enough to sustain long travels.
Mendell felt a slight tingling sensation on his head. He knew that this was the result of soul power consumption. In a matter of seconds, he pressed the pedal and zoomed fast, overtaking the tram. With his dexterous hands, he quickly pressed a knob and the windshield opened, and their hair started fluttering due to the vehicle's speed. He recalled his gun and conjured the log, which appeared on his right hand. Then, he threw it against the side of the tram with all of his strength.
The tram derailed and crashed against the walls of the tunnel. Fire sparks scattered in the air due to friction. Soon, its balance was lost, toppling all over several times before finally stopping.
Mendell knew that there were still some leeches alive so he could not afford to stay in this area. He tried recalling the log. Even though he was successful, he saw that the log icon greyed out. Was this because he unsummoned the log without touching it, he wondered. Nevertheless, this was not urgent. He had to solve his problem first because the pain in his head was getting intense.
Mendell increased the speed of the shuttle but his eyes began to dim. As expected, it zoomed forward like a jet, reaching the tram station before completely vanishing.
Mendell was able to throw his bag away to prevent the plastic bottles from being crushed. His body was then flung away like a rag, rolling on the floor and stopped only after hitting the leg of a giant bulletin board.

"Aaah!" Kenneth squirmed in pain as he forced his body to stand up. When he checked his left arm, the cloth Mendell used as bandages were now fully stained with blood. Much more the one on his right leg, which was hurting like hell. Even without opening the bandages, he knew that his wounds were reopened. He searched for anything that could help him when he saw a bag, which he recognized in seconds. "That...that's Mendell's bag."
Kenneth trudged his way toward the bag and picked it up. "Mendell, I'm sorry. I know that it's an invasion of privacy but I need to solve my wounds." When he opened the bag, he saw a long towel, which he cut into two using his combat knife. Then, he took out the plastic bottles that contained the mixtures of three herbs and the bottled water. Once he was ready, he removed the bandages on his right leg and frowned when he saw how bad the wound was. He then washed it clean with water. After that, he applied the powder mixtures on his wound and bandaged it with a clean towel. He did the same with his left arm.
He was very tired but he was concerned about Mendell. After a quick rest, he returned all the things he took out from Mendell's bag when he noticed a leathery-covered book. He was about to ignore it when it started glowing. Curious, he took the book and opened it.
Then he started reading. Page after page. Then he closed it again and closed his eyes, analyzing all the words he had seen. As soon as he opened his eyes, he whispered, "A record of all the monsters that we encountered...our profile...Spencer Mansion...why does Mendell have this information?"
Kenneth returned the book inside the knapsack and wore it on his back. "Whatever the case, Mendell saved me and my team. That's what matters to me. I gotta find him." He took out his gun and walked again, albeit slowly.
Kenneth knew that it was a waste of time to linger on things that he could not understand. Just like his miraculous survival earlier, he could still remember what happened a while ago. When the aircraft vanished, both him and Mendell were thrown forward. He did not know what happened because he just closed his eyes and prayed for the Goddess of Luck to intervene. Maybe she heard his prayers because he crashed against several tarpaulins, which lessened the impact, finally landing on a corner filled with trash bags full of used clothes.
"This is a tram station..." Kenneth slowly moved forward as he carefully searched for Mendell. To the east was the waiting area while the west side had a big bulletin board. At the end of the path was a metallic door.
He squinted his eyes and found a body lying just beside the bulletin board. He knew instantly that it was Mendell. Smiling, he walked toward the young man when he saw four zombies coming out from the opposite corner of the bulletin board. Upon closer look, he discovered that they came out from a hole. He did not know what was happening but somehow, these zombies were heading to Mendell's direction.
Kenneth's heart was getting heavy. He had to save the young man. If there was someone who had to survive between them, then it should be Mendell because his strength was beneficial to the team's survival. Besides, he owed him too much. Without hesitation, he aimed his gun at the nearest zombie and fired. "Hey, come here, you bastards! Over here!" He shouted as loudly as he could.
He shot again but the recoil hurt his wound. Even then, he did not stop shooting, hitting each of the four zombies to attract their attention. Luckily, he succeeded.
Kenneth knew that he was easy to panic. This time, he wanted to overcome this. No matter what it took.
The fifth shot hit the nearest zombie's head. After five bullets, it collapsed on the ground.
The eleventh shot missed but he continued shooting. Then after four hits, he heard a clicking sound and he reloaded his last magazine. Thankfully, it just took him another five bullets to down the second one.
There were ten bullets left. After that, he would have to fight the zombies without the gun. He did not hesitate and fired again. The third zombie died after seven hits. Now, there were only three bullets left.
Kenneth gathered his strength and trudged toward the waiting area. Fortunately, the zombie was following him. He was a little bit faster than the zombie so he was safe, for now. While escaping, he looked around and noticed that there was a staircase at the leftmost corner of the station. Looking at its layout, an idea formed inside his head.
Kenneth grabbed the trash can that was beside him and dragged it and continued walking. After making sure that the zombie was still behind him, he quickened his pace even though it disturbed the wounds on his right leg. At last, he reached the stairs and climbed up, which almost sapped all of his energy and strength.
The zombie climbed up the stairs as well.
Kenneth crossed the narrow ledge and reached the platform. Then he sat on the metallic floor and waited for the zombie. He guessed the finale had come. It was either him or the zombie.

Earth was now on the brink of destruction. An ancient legend fully controlled the world's power and energy sources, thereby making it helpless. Even then, a small portion of humanity survived the attacks and persisted, marking a small territory as their safe haven. After a series of wars against the enemy, humanity began to understand its characteristics and weakness - the Sherring Crystal.

The ancient legend wanted to hide these crystals away from the human hands but it could only do so within the earth's boundary. It did not dare keep it inside Earth and so, after a series of studies, concluded that the safest way was to create alternate Earth. Thus, it executed its plan.

To retrieve those crystals, the human leaders sent people, whom they called the Chroniclers, inside these alternate Earths. 

They began their quest, only to find out that the first alternate Earth was based on a popular game called Resident Evil. 

Many have sacrificed their lives but still, the Sheering crystal was not found. Who among the Chroniclers will be the first to finish this heroic quest?
