"SHHS : Short Horror and Hilarious Stories" is what it's tittle says. The stories published are either horror or hilarious stories made by the author, from the people around the author, from internet or it can even be made a from YOU! Yes you, my fellow daosts. Just leave send it to the email given in the second volume and the author will publish it.

You are a young new highschool student. You decided to join the newspaper club. There is nothing much happening in the school so you made a forum to get information about the school, this idea apparently was from a stranger you "met" or heard. This forum actually allows student to post any interesting stories and you may publish the stories for the weekly newspaper after getting their permission. Although there is still one problem, the forum is dead silent. Since the forum is still new, no one even bother to visit the forum. As everything went down fall and you starting to given up hope, to forget everything about helping the club, your luck, you life changed after meeting a stranger..

This novel is actually the forum, for the story of this club member is in another novel called "Sh, This Is My "Easy-simple-boring-life" Story" which has not been published.

In the evening, Lin Yao was the only one left in Lingyun Industry again, and she was busy organizing the day's work.
Lin Yao had developed a habit during her time at Tianfeng Company. She would record all the main points of her daily work, and make it into an EXCEL document. On the one hand, she could check for potential errors, and on the other hand, it was also a convenient way for her to follow her work progress.
Because of this, she was able to complete most of her work in half an hour while making almost no mistakes.
While Lin Yao was in the middle of updating the excel sheet, Jiang Mingshu made an anxious call and asked, "Have you been on the Hang City Forum today?"
Lin Yao had logged onto the forum early in the morning and replied to some posts, but she didn't constantly pay attention to every single activity on the Hang City Forum, like Jiang Mingshu did, so she asked nonchalantly, "What happened?"
"Today Xiaoyu's group went to the singles forum to irrigate, then many people followed suit, and the entire singles forum became a mess. Many people got their IDs blocked by Little Guliang." Jiang Mingshu rambled on dramatically, "My Goodness! How can you not know that such a huge thing has happened?"
"Really?" Lin Yao really didn't think that it was that big of a deal. As she looked over the excel sheet she had just uploaded, she said, "Then I'll check it out later." She just planned on taking a look.
After all, it was only a few days until the Hang Citynight Masquerade, and she didn't want to be out of touch with what was happening on the forum.
Jiang Mingshu urged her impatiently, "Then hurry up."
Lin Yao knew what she meant. If she was too late, she'd miss the show.
When Lin Yao logged onto the Hang City Forum, she discovered that the singles forum no longer had the mass of irrigation posts that Jiang Mingshu mentioned. However, many netizens had made posts condemning those netizens that irrigated, or were showing their official support and praise for Little Guliang blocking their IDs. Support...Nonetheless, she was one step too late and missed the show.
Of course, Lin Yao wouldn't condemn the netizens who posted unscrupulously, nor would she try to kiss up to Little Guliang like the others. She was more concerned about the smurfing accounts she used in her trials... Will they be blocked as well?
Lin Yao tried to log on to one of the accounts, and fortunately, her account was fine.

When Lin Yao saw those posts, she remembered that every time she logged on to the singles forum with her smurfing account, her account ID would appear on the visitor list above, and it would only disappear after a few minutes.
That amount of time was enough to attract the suspicion of people such as Hot Pot Is Too Hot. They'd even checked the data of her smurfing account, and at the moment they were probably itching to find out the real identity of the person behind the account.
Lin Yao felt slightly ashamed at how careless she had been. She shouldn't have logged on to the singles forum with her smurfing account.
Lin Yao decided to use these smurfing accounts as little as possible, or not at all, in the future.
Out of fear that some netizens would locate her by IP address, Lin Yao didn't log on to Hang City Forum again.
By 7:30 pm, Lin Yao had not only finished all her work but also over-achieved the daily self-study tasks she set for herself.
After Lin Yao finished packing her belongings and was ready to go home, Jiang Mingshu called again.

Jiang Mingshu snorted with displeasure. "Then why didn't you log on to the forum. I sent you so many private messages and you ignored them."

"I did log on." Lin Yao paused. "I logged off after I realized that the show was over. Did something happen after that?"
"With Little Guliang there, what could happen on the singles forum?" Jiang Mingshu grumbled with dissatisfaction, "I actually had something to tell you, but you just ignored me~! Wasted my time~, hurt my feelings ~and wasted my emojis~"
"What did you want to tell me?" Lin Yao said uneasily. "I'm going home now, and my computer's turned off."
Jiang Mingshu was a straightforward person, so she couldn't hold in the spoiler for long. "The thing is~, I got...ahem, I prepared your costumes and props for the masquerade for you. Hurry up and come over to see whether or not they fit you~"

"Well~of~course~I~do!" Jiang Mingshu laughed then said in a mock scolding tone, "Stop speaking nonsense, and get over here quickly!"
Lin Yao followed Miss Jiang's instructions and rushed to Yanzhili neighborhood where, together, they tried on the prop costume that was, allegedly, one of the discarded clothing samples from Orlando's dressing room.
It was very late by the time she returned to Chaoyang neighborhood after trying on her clothes, so naturally, she didn't pay any more attention to what had happened on the Hang City forum.
The next morning, she discovered that Hang City Forum had apparently disappeared!
Only after asking around did Lin Yao realize that the chaos on Hang City Forum didn't end when Little Guliang started blocking IDs en mass. It was just the beginning of the storm.
Yesterday evening, after several moderators of the Hang City Forum went offline, the netizens in the Events section and Love Life section began to go rogue, and they started irrigating and posting like crazy.
As a result of this incident, first, the server for the Hang City Forum froze, and then the website crashed.
After 24 hours, the Hang City Forum reopened, and from then on a new restriction was put in place: the same ID or the same IP address could only send one post every three minutes.
After this rule, even the usual speed posting and replying would be greatly affected, let alone irrigating.

This novel centers around the story of a career rookie called Lin Yao, who coincidentally becomes one of Lingyun Industry’s employees. After various bizarre ordeals, she gradually matures through her experiences.

Although Wang Xiaofeng really does not wish to admit himself being so thoroughly defeated in computer hacking, the reality does not allow him to do so.
After lighting a cigarette, Wang Xiaofeng took a deep puff before typing, "I've never expected to encounter an expert like you, brother. I wholeheartedly accept my defeat. Oh, that's right, how shall I address you?"

As a hacker, and the administrator for the Hacker's Forum on top of that, Wang Xiaofeng had heard about practically all of the powerful hackers in the country. After all, they were all people of the same circle. But, Wang Xiaofeng had never heard of someone under the alias 'Shadow.'
It would appear that a country as vast as China possessed countless hidden experts.
Having thought of this, Wang Xiaofeng continued to type, "Shadow bro, I've given up on tracking you. Apart from this, you should quickly delete your post before the people from the cyber police find out. At that time, they'll shut down our Hacker's Forum."
Inside his rental apartment. Chu Tian looked at the message sent to him by Wang Xiaofeng and narrowed his brows.
Delete the post?
Nonsense!
His port was making money still!
The reason why Chu Tian was not deleting his post had nothing to do with Wang Xiaofeng's wager. He kept it up to make money.
But, then again, what Wang Xiaofeng said was correct too.

It was only after reading those messages from Wang Xiaofeng that Chu Tian learned the Hacker's Forum actually possesses big jobs behind the scene for people to take on.
Those big jobs were not the request posts on the forum. Every one of those big jobs could easily net several hundred thousands or even millions.
But, those big jobs were all very secretive. Generally, they would not appear on the forum itself. Instead, they would all be discussed behind the scene through private messages. It could be said that those big jobs were exclusive to Wang Xiaofeng and other expert hackers of the forum. After all, they were the only people with the skills to take on those jobs.
Wang Xiaofeng: "Brother Shadow, if you want to take on any jobs, we can work together. It just so happens that our forum doesn't have enough manpower. With your skills, there's absolutely no issue at all for you to join us."

"The Final Forum?"
Seeing the puzzled look on Kazuki's face, Aokiji chuckled and began to explain.
Kazuki eventually understood what this forum was all about.
Back in 2009, a guy who believed in the 2012 apocalypse had created an online forum which was known as the [Apocalypse Mutual Aid Association]. The forum was popular during that time due to the rise of the apocalyptic theory, plus many people would rather believe it to be true than not.
However, the world did not end as 2012 ended. The forum slowly turned dull. Aside from some elderly people who used to post threads on the forum, even the original moderator gave up on the website and left.
After all, the moderator created this forum solely because he believed in the apocalypse. Since the world did not end, there was no reason for him to stick around this forum.
Later on, the moderator of the forum changed twice. Aokiji was the third moderator, he knew that things could not go on like this. Hence, he made a significant transformation like the forum and guided the change from an apocalyptic forum to the current discussion forum dedicated to horror and supernatural. 
This change brought a revival of activities on the dull forum, even the forum name was changed. Until now, the [Final Forum] is among the top five most active supernatural forums in Japan.
Even some horror movie directors would discuss with fellow members on the forum.
Many people on the forum had the experience of joint adventures, they would specifically go to places with horrifying rumors. Thus, when they talked about their experiences on the forum, they would spice their talk with imaginary horror, making their stories incredibly realistic.
The exploration of Akichi High School was only a small activity within the management. Therefore the number of participants was relatively low.
Aokiji, who was the moderator, was the only member apart from the two administrators.
The two other girls were friends of the two administrators. Aokiji secretly told him that both Yamazaki Masato and Yasuda Aohi were pursuing the girls, respectively. While this activity appeared to be an adventure, it was actually an opportunity for the two administrators to pursue the girls.
After all, a man could offer a strong sense of security to women in a terrifying environment.
Kazuki nodded in acknowledgment. He had been wondering whether he should wait for the others to finish before entering Akichi High School on his own to have a look.
But after some thought, he felt that it was better to let nature take its course.
Above all, if they really ran into ghosts and something were to happen, they would definitely choose to call the police. Then Kazuki wouldn't have come all this way for nothing.
"Student, are you here for an adventure too?" Aokiji asked curiously after roughly explaining.
Obviously, it was not merely for the sake of fun for a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old high school student to come to Akichi High School.
"Yeah, I came to draw materials for my new book."
"New book?" Masato, who was standing beside asked in surprise, "Are you a novelist?"
"I'm a newbie… I used to read a lot of horror novels, now I've decided to write a light horror novel. But I have no idea how to heighten the eerie atmosphere, so I want to get a taste of it at Akichi High School."
Kazuki had already figured out an answer back when Aokiji was talking earlier.
He truly is talented and brave…The trio did not say anything, but their eyes were beaming with admiration.
Moreover, Kazuki was just a high school student, his courage to come to Akichi High School alone earned him great admiration.
Masato and Aohi came here to chase the girls, they would definitely not dare to go to Akichi High School alone.

Sakai Keiko and the other girl were stunned as well upon understanding the situation, but their ability in observing facial expressions was quite good as corporate slaves.

"Kimura, Chiba, did you guys do any research on Akichi High School before coming here?"
"A little bit, but I heard about Akichi High School from a net pal. There was a huge fire outbreak at Akichi High School five years ago. Many had died in the incident," Chiba Shiori brushed a strand of hair from her face. The movement lost the sense of beauty in contrast with her appearance. She calmly said, "Now that the new campus is constructed, the old campus has long been abandoned. I've seen pictures taken by netizens too, that's why I want to come and have a look tonight."
Kimura Kazuki did not say anything, signaling that he did not know much.

"Akichi High School was located at a remote place, it was a gated school where students would typically live on campus. Mobile phones were prohibited, and should it be found it would be confiscated immediately. This left the students nothing but studying and club activities, basically there was no time for entertainment."
"As time passed, the students became depressed. At Akichi High School, good students were usually placed in Class 1 and Class 2 while bad students were placed in Class 3 and Class 4."
"The incident happened in Class 4 of the second grade. Back then, the students in this class were forcefully sent to Akichi High School by their parents owing to their lousy grades and unwillingness to study. Because they were bored, they gathered and discussed playing a game to enliven their monotonous high school life."
"But one person had to be sacrificed in the game…"


Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

Cheryl had climbed up her bed. Using the height of the bed, she made up for the difference in height between her and Teresa. Then, she placed her hands on Teresa's shoulders and forced her eyes to face her own.
"Es… cape?"
Teresa was caught by surprise by Cheryl's sudden suggestion. She was thinking about clearing the first level of the game with Cheryl.
"Escape from this damned place. In the past, you had to stay here in order to receive the choir's blessings. But now, you no longer needed to…"
Cheryl was originally planning to spend a long period of time to persuade Teresa and have this innocent nun believe that Norland will provide them with a better future. But, the gospel she received from the priest, the mission, forced Cheryl to shift the plan ahead of time.
Her experience told her that the mission to proceed to the Blackwood Forest would be far more difficult than trying to assassinate a Chaos Demon in Norland.
A new inquisitor like Teresa would not be allowed to participate in that sort of mission.
If Cheryl ended up going to the Blackwood Forest, Teresa would not be able to use the magic network anymore. The consequence that would lead to was obvious.

While they were others who jabbed sarcastically at the Holy Zhi Palace of Barren State not knowing where they stood, neither Xihua Sacred Mountain nor the Holy Zhi Palace actually behaved disrespectfully in that incident. However, the Holy Zhi Palace was probably doomed to give one holy item away, which would have been a windfall for one of the geniuses from Xihua Sacred Mountain.
Sage Wanxiang, Zhuge Qingfeng, and the others from the Holy Zhi Palace looked at Ye Futian and felt rather speechless. However, the incident was nonetheless handled well. If the students of the Barren State were to perform admirably in the event, it would have been earned them respect.
Furthermore, Ye Futian did not directly challenge Xihua Sacred Mountain to a gamble. Yu Sheng might be able to make it to the top ten, with holy items as bets. He instead went to politely claim that if Yu Sheng was unable to make it to the top ten, he was willing to offer a holy item for the highest ranked student of Xihua Sacred Mountain. As such, Xihua Sacred Mountain would have been compelled to do something in return, as they were dealing with the Barren State, which was the weakest in the first place.
Ye Futian even politely declined Xihua Sacred Mountain's generosity of the saints when Saint Xihua made his stance. Ye Futian had been as humble and as polite as he could have possibly been. If Xihua Sacred Mountain ended up actually losing a holy item, no one would have been able to blame Ye Futian for anything.
It was a move well played indeed.
Saint Xihua then turned his eyes to the crowd. The boundless space went gradually quiet in an instant. Everyone was able to feel plain might exuding from Saint Xihua, as if he was able to cover the entire space with one look alone. Even the grandstands behind Ye Futian, where noise was endless, went completely silent.
Everyone turned their eyes in the same direction—the corner where the Eastern State was assigned; where the three saints of Xihua Sacred Mountain was.
The Nine State Forum finally began.
"The Nine State Forum of this year is hosted by Xihua Sacred Mountain. Almost every single sacred ground from all over the nine states has gathered here today. Even the Sky Saint, who does not have a successor, attended this event. As the lord of Xihua Sacred Mountain, I'm truly honored." Saint Xihua continued with a brimming voice, "All nine states hailed from Emperor Xia's Orthodoxy. The Nine State Forum has been held for many years, implementing the will of Emperor Xia. There have been many legendary figures emerge from each generation past, and I believe there will still be countless remarkable people who will emerge this time.
"As the host for this year's event, Xihua Sacred Mountain intends to reward those who perform admirably in the Nine State Forum. While the rewards might be a small gesture, they are a form of encouragement.
Everyone listened to the speech quietly, and what was said was a tradition that had been executed in every Nine State Forum held. Many wondered what Xihua Sacred Mountain had prepared as a reward this time.

Streaks of golden lightning gathered on the battleax, which went on to devour the powers of its surroundings in a frenzy. The air emanating from the weapon seemed intent on cleaving the space before it apart.
"A holy item."
"The Battleaxe of Judgment," The eyes of those who had heard of the holy item were glittering.
"This holy item is something that belonged to the previous Head Saint of Xihua Sacred Mountain. It was passed down through the generations. Now, I present this item as a reward to the champion of the Nine State Forum. The one who ranks number one in the Nine State Forum will take the holy item away," Saint Xihua said. The eyes of many geniuses from all over the nine states glittered. It would have been a very beautiful thing to be able to bag that holy item, as it would become a personal possession of whoever ended up taking it away, not having to present it to the sacred ground they belonged to.
Ye Futian lifted his head and eyed the Battleaxe of Judgment. The Holy Zhi Palace of the Barren State was probably the place with the least amount of holy items out of all sacred grounds, and any item they had with them was to be used for the future Battle of Saints.
Saint Xihua put the Battleaxe of Judgment away and took out a catalog, waving it in the air. Images glittered and flew out of the catalog in dazzling lights, with incredibly terrible air emanating from them.
"This is the Catalogue of Saints." Saint Xihua said, "This item has been passed down through the generations of Xihua Sacred Mountain for many years, and it was a treasured piece for Xihua Sacred Mountain's students for generations, for it was used to develop comprehension of how the saints trained. Experiences and knowledge of the training of many saints from Xihua Sacred Mountain are housed within. This piece will be gifted to the one who ranks second in the Nine State Forum."
The eyes of many top-notch sages present glittered with sharp intent. That treasured piece would have helped them a lot in furthering their training.
Saint Xihua then put the catalog away and took out a decorated box. Shimmering lights danced in the air the very instant it was opened, with a fragrance washing all over the place. It was just a pill, yet greed started to well up inside many of those who witnessed it. It was as if everyone wanted another whiff of the pill's fragrance.
"The Holy Pill, to be gifted to the one who ranks third in Nine State Forum." Saint Xihua closed the box and many looked rather dejected, but then quickly shuddered at the fact that they had been smelling the pill greedily, a testament to how terrifying the Holy Pill was.
Saint Xihua went on to announce the prizes to be given to the ones ranked in the rest of the top ten places. All of the items had one thing or another to do with saints, which meant that they were all holy items. Even though some might not have actually had saint-level powers, they were items used by saints before, or they had deep connections with saints. There were many who lamented their lack of power, which robbed them of their right to even participate in the event itself.
Saint Xihua was not done. He went on to announce, "Other than that, for those who rank in the top ten in the Nine State Forum, should they be willing to become a student of Xihua Sacred Mountain, they will be taught by the three of us. Those who ranked within the top 100 will also be welcomed to study under Xihua Sacred Mountain, with the three of us to provide frequent guidance."
Everyone had, of course, understood that many of those who participated in the event came from sacred grounds of other states, which meant that they would not have wanted to study under Xihua Sacred Mountain. Those words were probably meant for some of the geniuses from Eastern State who came to participate in the Nine State Forum. After all, participants from the Eastern State were still the most numerous, and there would have been some exceptionally powerful ones among them.
"Without further ado, we will hand the stage to the young geniuses from all of the nine states." Saint Xihua smiled and looked at the people from other states. "The rules of the Nine State Forum remain as they have always been, with one to come out from each of the nine states in each round. This goes on until there are but a hundred left on the forum stage. How about that?"
"Fine."
"No problem."
The ones from other sacred grounds of the nine states nodded. That was how things had gone on in all of the past Nine State Forums. One from each of the nine states were to come forward, which, in principle, made the battle of each round fought between nine people. In actual fact, however, with the Barren State absent, every battle had been one fought between eight participants.
The battles this time would be restored to ones fought between nine participants. However, as there were only over 30 participants from the Barren State, it was feared that Barren State would not last for long before running out of participants. Everyone would be disqualified early. Even getting into the top 100 would have been incredibly difficult for the Barren State, let alone getting a place in the top ten. Due to being the smallest, they would have encountered geniuses from all over the nine states. They would have the opportunities to fight people from all sacred grounds.
Saint Xihua nodded. "Well then. The rules of the event are the same as every past Nine State Forum. Every battle will have one participant from each of the nine states, with the final victor remaining while the other eight are disqualified. The rounds will continue, and every single participant will be required to fight. As the sacred ground of the Barren State was in the opinion that they deserved to be respected as well, we will make no exceptions for them even though they have the smallest number of participants. Every participant shall be treated fairly, with the last one remaining in every round or becoming one of the top ten."
"Indeed." Ye Futian nodded and went to look at Yu Sheng and the others below.
The pressure was indeed huge.
The Eastern State had the most participants, and many were only required to fight one battle. Such was the home advantage of the hosting state. The Barren State, on the other hand, all were required to fight round after round before making it to the top 100. However, there was little to lament over. The qualification rounds of the Nine State Forum had always been executed fairly. It was the Barren State's fault for fielding so few participants in the first place.
The people of all nine states agreed to the rule in silence.
"Let the rounds begin," Saint Xihua said plainly. Several elders walked onto the forum stage to the edges right afterward, saying, "The Nine State Forum does not allow for participants to fight using external implements. Those who violate the rule will be severely punished. The battle stops when one party loses fighting capacity or yields. If both sides choose to fight to the death, the consequences will be borne by the participants, and the nine states shall not pursue such matters further.
"Furthermore, as this year's Nine State Forum is held in the Eastern State, the hosting state shall be given priority in selecting their combatants. The selection shall be executed in the following order: The Eastern State, Summer State, Qi State, Cloud State, War State, Feng State, Ocean State, Yu State and finally, the Barren State." The elder continued, "The rounds shall begin."
The eyes of many were on the forum stage at that very moment.
The Nine State Forum had officially begun.
The air in the vast space seemed to have changed. The nonchalant, relaxed feeling was no longer around. The air had gone thick with solemnity instead. With geniuses from all nine states gathered, many wondered which state would have had the most number of participants making it to the top 100. And then, there were speculations about who would be able to make it to the top ten.
And finally, who would reign supreme in all of the nine states?
Many were excited at the event.
The forum stage was basked in mild sunlight as a breeze blew by. A figure was seen walking out from the side of the Eastern State. That figure was one from Xihua Sacred Mountain. As the host of the event and the very first battle to be fought in Eastern State, the one who emerged first had to be one from the Xihua Sacred Mountain.
"That's Xu Shi." Many from the grandstands gasped in surprise.
Xu Shi, from the Xihua Sacred Mountain of Eastern State, was to fight the battle.
Xu Shi's powers ranked at the forefront when compared with those from Xihua Sacred Mountain participating in the forum. As such, he was made to fight the first battle, and it was apparent that Xihua Sacred Mountain was hoping to take the very first round.
Summer State was next.
"One from the Xia clan." A youth was seen walking onto the stage, making many who were watching shudder. It seemed that the Summer State had the same idea.
Mighty ones from Qi State, Cloud State, Battle State emerged and walked to the middle of the forum stage. Every single participant who emerged made the hearts of spectators shudder somewhat.
The one who walked out from Qi State hailed from the Qi clan. The history of the Qi clan was similar to that of the Great Zhou Sacred Dynasty of the Eastern State. Qi State had been ruled by the Qi clan before, and Qi state was once known as the Qi Kingdom and had established the Jixia Holy Palace, recruiting capable people from all over the world.
Currently, the Jixia Holy Palace was at a level of power, comparable to that of the Qi clan, and both were sacred grounds for training in Qi State. Regardless, the Qi clan had incredible depth.
Each of the participants of the eight states who walked out was exceptional. It seemed that the upcoming battle would be incredibly intense. A battle that was fought between titans.
Such was the stage of the Nine State Forum, and many already felt their blood boiling in anticipation.
"Who will be the first one in the Barren State to fight?" The eyes of many turned in the direction of the Barren State, who was the last to select their participants. A figure was seen walking out of the handful.
It was someone already very familiar, for it was none other than that stout youth who went questioning Xihua Sacred Mountain alone.
Many looked amused at the moment, as they would be able to see how powerful he actually was in the very first battle. That person might actually be disqualified in the very first battle for having to fight such an incredible group. As such, there was probably nothing left for the Barren State in that round.
Yu Sheng, the first from Barren State, to join the fight!
