Chen Mu looked at the advertisement being broadcasted on the fantasy card platform. The green mark could be clearly seen on it, giving him an odd feeling. Up till now, nearly all mainstream fantasy card platforms were broadcasting this advertisement. Faya's clout was indeed huge. This matter that would be very difficult for him had been completed by Faya just like that with an absolute ease.
Perhaps this might show some results after all. Looking at the green mark being broadcasted everywhere, a trace of hope rose in Chen Mu's heart. Suddenly, House Tai-shu's commander rushed into the room with a card in his hand, "White Commander, someone handed me a fantasy card outside and named you as the recipient of the card."
"Where is he?" Chen Mu asked.
"He left after leaving the card."
Chen Mu took the fantasy card and inserted it into his apparatus. House Tai-shu's commander tactfully left the room even though he was very curious about the content of the card as well. A short while later, Chen Mu shut his apparatus, his eyes turning frosty.
A piece of news about the Big Bad Wolves was contained within this card. Then person that had delivered this card was a card artisan of Central Repository of the Classics. Before Xie Yanbai left, he requested that they helped as best as they could. The Big Bad Wolves were only three days away from Dongrui City. It was clear that their target was Chen Mu.
This was completely different from Chen Mu's previous guess. He had guessed that the Comprehensive Federation Academy was merely pretending to be in pursuit of him to get an excuse to intervene with the alliance being set up at Heavenly Drum Village District. But from how aggressively the Big Bad Wolves was behaving, it was clear that he was their actual target.
Chen Mu could not understand the reason for this. The Comprehensive Federation Academy was rather lacking in power at the moment. It was not a smart thing to send a huge number of powerhouses after him with great fanfare like this.
If a person like Tang Hanpei was doing something that seemed stupid like this, there was definitely some unknown agenda hidden behind this. Very few people actually knew what Tang Hanpei had in his mind. Chen Mu did not believe that he was one of them. However, Chen Mu also understood that watching on as the Big Bad Wolves came would be very dangerous.
He would still have some sort of leeway when dealing with Tan Yumin. But if it was the Big Bad Wolves, there was no leeway to speak of. It would seem like he now owed Xie Yanbai yet another favor. Wei-ah, Little Bu Mo, Xiaobo, and Sang Hanshui were all gathered by Chen Mu. The first thing he did was replaying the fantasy card in front of them.
"Boss, maybe you are too handsome? That's why everyone got attracted?" Xiaobo appeared completely flabbergasted. Although Sang Hanshui did not speak, his expression made it clear that he agreed with Xiaobo. In his eyes, his boss was a magnet that could attract numerous troubles without knowing it. Even his boss would be astonished by the all the troubles.
 "I'll help you!" Little Bu Mo said as he waved his fist with a serious expression. His fight with Si Dongkou had previously had given him a boost in confidence. He was now training harder than before, and as he was at the age where his body developed the fastest, he was growing quickly.
Wei-ah did not say anything and his face was expressionless. However, everyone was already used to his detached persona. Chen Mu took out the fantasy card from the card player and inserted a different fantasy card into it. A detailed three-dimensional map appeared in front of everyone.
"Huh? Boss, where did you get this?" Xiaobo asked in astonishment as he stared at the map. The map was extremely detailed and lifelike. A three-dimensional map with such precision was extremely rare and was not available for sale.
"I got it from Tai-shu Yong," Chen Mu replied. Then, he pointed at a city on the map and said, "They are here, Seven Mengri City."
All four of them looked at where Chen Mu was pointing at as their gazes collectively landed on a city not far from Dongrui City.
"From Seven Mengri City to Dongrui City, they can take three paths. The path going through Fir Town is the shortest path. I believe the probability of them choosing this path is the highest," Chen Mu gave a detailed explanation.
"Why, Woody?" Little Bu Mo asked as he looked at Chen Mu with doubt.
Chen Mu explained, "They had not bothered concealing their coming all along the way. It was as if they are afraid that nobody would know they are coming. From this, it is obvious that they are extremely confident in destroying us."
When Sang Hanshui heard that, he snorted, "Those idiots."
His eyes were filled with an ominous glint.
"This is why I guessed that they will take this path as this path will take them the shortest time to travel," Chen Mu concluded directly.
"What should we do?" Xiaobo was no longer as playful as he usually was. This time, their enemies weren't some ordinary people. Those people were the elites of the Comprehensive Federation Academy.
"We will take the initiative and make the attack," Chen Mu said calmly. Then, a frosty glint surfaced on his eyes as he added, "If we stay passive and wait for them to come, we will lose the initiative. The difference between our strength is too great. From what they had done so far, they seem to be underestimating us. They never would have guessed that we would be attacking instead. The distance between them and us make it best for us to ambush them since even if we fail the ambush, we have enough leeway to continue fighting on. If we fight in Dongrui City instead, we will be in a very difficult situation as once surrounded, it will be the end of us."
Everyone was evidently shocked by Chen Mu's reasoning. They all listened attentively, not wanting to miss a single detail.
"Between Seven Mengri City and Dongrui City, there were three cities and one town. The city before Fir Town is Chur City. There is a distance of 3,700 km between them. This is a distance that will take about five to seven hours to travel with high speed flight. As these card artisans are all from the capital, they won't be used to the harsh cold of Heavenly Drum Village District. It is very likely that they will try to reduce the time on the road and head straight to Fir Town before stopping to rest."
Xiaobo nodded, "That's right. If it's me, I will also head straight to Fir Town before stopping. This weather is a torture to travel."
"This is good for us. After five hours of flight, their stamina and Perception would have been greatly exhausted. They would be tired in both mind and body. Moreover, we have one benefit at our side, the energy card."

Before anyone could reply, he continued, "If we attack at that exact moment, they will not have the time to switch their cards. This will be very advantageous for us. Moreover, I have the Snake Lens. I will be able to determine their exact location, helping us when planning or revising our ambush on the go."
After he spoke, Chen Mu felt his throat go dry and drank some water. When he saw that nobody was responding, he asked curiously, "Why? Is there any problem with the plan?"
Xiaobo's mouth was wide agape with a blank look on his face. After a while, he spoke, "Boss, when did you become so great?"
Sang Hansui was also shocked with his eyes opened wide. He nodded his head in agreement by reflex.
"Great? How am I great?" Chen Mu was completely confused.
Xiaobo gradually regained his calm as he looked at Chen Mu with an odd gaze, as if he was looking at a freak. Little Bu Mo was looking at Chen Mu with a worshipping gaze, as if stars were twinkling in his eyes.
"When did you learn that from Commander Bog? No, that doesn't seem like something Commander Bog would do."
Xiaobo rubbed his chin in contemplation and continued, "Is boss trying to get on the Renowned General Ranking? Oh, looks like the Black Line Star Listing is below boss now."
While Xiaobo babbled on, Chen Mu rolled his eyes and said, "This is very easy. It only requires some simple calculation."
 "Simple?" Xiaobo laughed but did not comment much on it. He knew that most of the time, this boss of his was an extremely insensitive person as his sense of logic was way too different than an ordinary person. Today, his boss surprised him greatly. Only now did he realize that unknowingly, his boss had grown to this extent.
In truth, this plan wasn't exactly complicated. But from this analysis, one could see that Chen Mu had an extremely clear train of thought now. Indeed, that was merely a matter of calculation. But unknown to Chen Mu, this seemingly simple calculation had propelled him to a new height.
Xiaobo was a knowledgeable person and understood how difficult it was to come by a growth like this. If a card artisan only focused his attention on skills, he would at most become a powerful card artisan instead of a leader.
Now, Chen Mu was no longer looking at things from the perspective of a card artisan. He had learned to see things from a higher perspective. In this chaotic world, this would be extremely important for a team. Furthermore, Chen Mu was still so young. He had a lot of room for growth.
XIaobo refreshed his conviction to follow Chen Mu. Sang Hanshui was also an old fox like Xiaobo. All these things that Xiaobo thought of had also appeared in his mind. They both exchanged glances before smiling knowingly to each other.
"We will rest for five hours before setting off," Chen Mu decided when he saw that nobody had any objections. Apart from Little Bu Mo, everyone here was a veteran of many battles. Therefore, it did not take them long to enter a resting state.
As for Chen Mu, he rested his chin on his palms as he studied the three-dimensional map. His brain spun rapidly as he was trying to see if he had missed anything. Without Bogner by his side, he had nobody to give him guidance. He had to decide everything by himself. With such pressure on him, he did not dare to slack. That was why he was putting all his effort to improve their situation. This battle would be very important for them. And that was not all of his plan.

Arthur Brown was taken back at the beauty inside of the big town name, the village. There were many kinds of species of people who were busy with their daily lives. A few people noticed the man with the strange pattern, clothing, color, and armor he was wearing. Most people found it interesting and a few merchants that were passing by being very intrigued by him, and especially his backpack, which was the MARPAT, improved load-bearing equipment (ILBE for short.) That was possibly holding a ton of load with ease on his back, but they didn't dare to approach the man due to his Stern expression, on his face that made them feel intimidated very easily. 

"Here we are, the guild we were talking about, you should be able to register pretty easily inside and get everything sorted out before doing any quests for rewards," Xander explains, before the group enters the big guild building that was 5 stories high and surprisingly, the center of this huge town, which made Arthur Brown curious if he will be able to write and read in this world considering their alphabets, could be completely different from his.

The modern soldier noticed all sorts and kinds of knights and different classes within the guild talking to one another, even those that were showing off their abilities like making ice and fire appear from their fingertips. He soon found himself standing in front of a reception with a young girl dressed in fine clothing and a bow tie on her collar. 

"Welcome to the adventurer's guild! How may we help you today?" The girl said happily to the modern soldier as she tries to not comment about the appearance of his look, but mostly his face that was scaring her deep inside. Arthur Brown remembered what Xander told him about the steps he needed to do in order to register, but he wasn't quite sure about the whole writing his name fraction.

"I would like to register as an adventurer!"

The girl was startled by his firm words and begin to stutter. 

"D-D-Do you have 5 copper coins for that?"

Arthur Brown opens a small pouch that Pietro gave him before the group left to do another quest, and he noticed a good amount of money inside and he was curious to himself, which one was a copper. Again. He takes out a golden coin and drops it back into the bag again and tries looking for the copper.

Finally, Arthur Brown found, all 5 of them that he was looking for, for the reception girl. He placed the 5 coppers on the counter for her, which in return, she takes them and heads back inside somewhere and comes back with a paper and an ink pen that look like it was from the 10th century. 

"Just write down your name and also what is your ability and class?"' 

Arthur Brown, wasn't quite sure what his ability was in class and how this fantasy world does things in some ways, but he tries to think of something and begin to write down on the piece of paper, but to his surprise, the ink was glowing on the paper like hue and disappears shortly after when he stopped at writing. 

'Whoa! I didn't know this fantasy world had that!' 

The modern soldier afterward finished writing down on the piece of paper and eventually the reception girl took the paper from him after he was finished and began to read it and confirmed it herself, but she stopped herself from walking somewhere in the back when her eyes landed on class and ability and was confused by what he wrote down. 

"Sir, do you know what Spawn ability, as well as a marine infantryman, means because I don't understand?" The girl asked Arthur Brown with confusion shown on her face. He was prepared for this just in case if she was curious or confused, and he begins to explain what an infantryman was and also demonstrated the ability spawn by spawning a random item from his menu screen from browsing the food section. 

A brownish tan color box wrapped in plastic with black symbols and words that the young girl had never seen before was a Meal Ready To Eat (MRE for short.) From his hand, and the girl's eyes widen at this in surprise before rushing back somewhere in the back with the paper and soon return with a silver card and green badge and placing it on the counter for him.

"What is the rank specifically in the adventurers Guild?"

Soon, the young girl pulls out a smaller board underneath the counter, that had a different quality of rank badges on it, and she begins to explain how the ranks in the guild work as she puts it on the counter in front of Arthur Brown. 

"Right now you are Rank Tier 1 and this is Rank tier 2 and the last rank above rank tier 3 and 4 is a Master Rank Tier!" She explains to Arthur Brown while smiling the whole time. 

"I see and what is the condition for each Rank?" Arthur Brown, ask again to the young girl with curiosity, fully understanding the explanation from the receptionist.

"You get to fight against harder enemy bosses and monster higher tier level classes, and if you make it to Master Tier, you even get a chance to get the attention of even kings and queens across the continent!" 

The soldier rubs his Chin while nodding to what she was saying, while in thought.

'Interesting that there are kingdoms in this fantasy world, but also Kings and Queens? Now that's something.'

The young girl places away fro the small board underneath the counter and soon pointed towards a crowd of people surrounding a pole in the center of the building inside, and there were 4 boards on each side with dozens of notes stamped on it.

"There you will be able to find a quest for your rank and be rewarded when you complete the mission, but if you fail, then you do not have to worry about that, because you can always try again." 

The young girl had fair skin and she smiled at him with delight, and he noticed that she had a blue eye color on the left eye and like gray on the right eye, and he found it pretty adorable. Soon, the modern military soldier saluted at her in a military pose before doing an about-face and walking away towards the pole board, that had dozens of quests stamped on it.

'Let's see if we can do any quest to earn some money.'

Everyone stared at the modern soldier, and a few of them were whispering to one another about the stranger in his weird outfit and equipment. Arthur Brown didn't pay any mind at all and didn't even pay attention to their stares and what they were talking about and he eventually stops in front of one the pole boards and he begins to scan the notes that were stamped on the board.

'Gathering herbs outside the fairy forest and eliminating a goblin horde nearby mountain valley and zombie horde problem in a town named feather arrow and skeleton movement has been spotted in the nearby village of the diamond dial.' 

Meanwhile, the modern soldier was busy examining the quest notes on the board. A few groups of people notice the strange soldiers Stern expression on his face, and they were frightened by this as though he was going to attack any moment, and they begin to walk away from him because they were frightened by his expression, and they didn't want to mess with this guy.
 
'There are pretty interesting names for these locations, but how the heck am I supposed to find any of these places if I don't have a map?'

A map HUD suddenly appears in front of him, which surprises the modern soldier and he looks at it closely and noticed that it was showing him the location he was at. Arthur Brown blinks a couple of times before tapping on it with his fingertip on the map and it moves slightly with his very touch.

'It looks like I don't have to worry about that now since I finally found the map HUD just by calling its name.'

The map showed real-time on his location, but the most important part about it was that it had detailed information on it, and Arthur Brown notices a few buildings nearby that were being shown on the map, that it had names, as well as information about them.

"This will come in handy." Arthur Brown said to himself out loud among the crowd and soon realized that people were staring at him. People were whispering to one another about the stranger in funny clothing and equipment, and some people were thinking that he was crazy.

'I probably should check the map outside next time with no one around me unless I want to make people think that I have lost my mind.'

Arthur Brown notices a quest that caught his eyes on the board and approaches it to examine it closely and begin to read it.

[Rescue a missing girl and boy from bandits.]

'Now that's something even more concerning, among these quests, but it isn't a rank tier-one since it has something to do with the Bandits, maybe I should convince the receptionist girl that I can handle the situation?'

Arthur Brown took the quest paper right off of the pole board and begin to walk back towards the receptionist, and he places the quest paper on the counter in front of her with a serious look on his face.

"I want to take this Quest." 

The young girl took the paper and begin to read the information about the quest, and soon realized that it was actually a rank tier 3 quest.

"B-but sir, this quest is only for Rank tier 3 and higher, and also according to the rules, you must have a party in order to do this mission since it's very dangerous, and bandits are always in big groups!"

Arthur Brown started to think of a way to convince this young girl that he can do this quest, and he begins to remember about his spawn ability.

"If I have a group with me, then will I be able to do the quest then?"

The young receptionist nodded with seriousness on her face.

"Then I will be back."

Arthur Brown took this opportunity to leave immediately, while passing by nearby adventurers that were standing around having a conversation with one another, and soon exit the building and notice an alleyway not too far from him, and quickly jogs himself towards that alleyway and checks both sides to secure his position, and didn't notice anybody following him and watching him.

'Seems like the coast is clear...'

Arthur Brown opens his menu screen and begins to browse through it till he finally found what he was looking for, which were units he can spawn in, and he clicks it with his finger, which opens another menu screen suddenly, and it shows a total of soldiers and classes that he can choose from and information about them.

'Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard...'

Arthur Brown realized that he can select any one of these branches in the United States forces and was taken back by this.

"Wait a moment, why am I able to pick a different branch of the United States Armed forces if I'm in the United States Marine corps!?"

The modern soldier quiets down and composes himself unless he wanted to become a center of attention from people passing by the alleyway. Arthur Brown thought about what branch he should choose from the menu, and he begins to remember that the Coast Guard was specialized in combat, search and rescue. 

Sergeant Arthur Brown selected the Coast Guard and noticed that there were a medic, infantry and heavy and engineer, which was sort of similar selection from War Horizon.

"I probably should pick some of the classes that should be appropriate for this quest." Arthur Brown said to himself while clicking medic class than two infantrymen's classes, and afterward a heavy class, a sudden menu screen appears in front of him to confirm his choice, and he clicks yes and something that Arthur Brown never expected to happen happened.

4 figures consisting of 2 females and 2 males, started to generate right before his eyes, and the soldiers soon saluted at Arthur Brown with their Chin up, chest out, shoulders back and stomach in, at attention next to each other in a line.

"Coast Guard Ready for Duty!" A 6 foot tall, dark skin male soldier said to Arthur Brown as the group of soldiers was at attention with serious faces and eyes looking straight forward.

The modern soldier saluted to his units before a menu screen popped up in front of him again.

Arthur Brown closes the menu screen and he begins his order for his men that were wearing a full set of a black module, plate body armor and black enhanced combat helmet, and a dark blue digital color pattern clothing underneath.

"At ease soldiers! Right now, we have a search and rescue mission, that has something to do with a young boy and girl being kidnapped by a bunch of bandits."

Arthur Brown said to his soldiers that were in a parade rest position while looking at the modern soldier, in silence as they listen closely to their debrief.

"Permission to speak, sir!" A female soldier said that was 5 feet tall and had fair white skin.

"Permission granted." Arthur Brown responds.

"How many hostiles are we talking about here and what is their location, sir?"

"We do not know at the moment for sure, but I am informed of the bandits are always in a group." Arthur Brown replies to her and his men. 

"But for the time being it, lets head back to the Adventurer Guild and start from there."

Arthur Brown begins to leave the alleyway along with his unit, following behind him with their M4 rifles strapped over their shoulders. The modern soldiers were surprised by the village and the residents that live in the huge town. People took notice of the modern soldiers that were walking by, and they begin to whisper to one another about the stranger's clothing and equipment they had, especially their metal black sticks, they were carrying around themselves.

Soon the Guild door opens, which caught the attention of all the Guild Adventurer's inside, and there was silence among the crowd because they were speechless of what they were looking at. In their point of view, there was the modern soldier they saw earlier and a strange group of men and woman, wearing strange dark blue clothing and black armor and equipment as well as carrying a metal black stick, that they have never seen before. The receptionist girl noticed this from the distance and was surprised to see Arthur Brown with other strangers following him in a military fashion she has never seen before.

Arthur Brown stops in front of the receptionist, and he smiles at her, which made her feel unsettled for some reason.

"I would like to do the quest now."

The young girl took out the quest paper she reserved for Arthur Brown just in case if he ever came back with a group, but she didn't expect him to return so soon, especially with strangers, she has never seen before in the village.

"Are they also registered to the guild?"

Arthur Brown frowns at this when he realized that he had to pay 5 copper coins to each of his soldiers to register into the adventurer Guild, and in total, it was 20 copper coins. The girl soon gave each Coast Guard soldier a rank, tier-one badge, and ID cards. Many of the guild members that were in the background were whispering to one another about the strangers, with their get up and weird metal sticks and the equipment they had.

"All of you guys are rank tier one, but as long as you're in a group and have some experience, then I'm sure everything will be fine and work out, please be safe." The receptionist girl said to the group of modern soldiers and bows to them in a respectful farewell.

Arthur Brown and his unit saluted to the young girl before the group begins to exit the building with the modern soldier leading the way for them.

"Let's show these bandits what the military can do."

It was getting late, I ate a few snacks from stands on the way back. Once I got back to my room, I crashed onto the bed and quickly fell asleep. Early next morning, the map the prince sent arrived. 'Yay! I can finally learn more about this world." To my surprise, the prince sent two maps, one of the country and one of the whole continent. 'That awfully kind of him. Wouldn't hurt to learn about the neighboring countries as well.' So I started studing. For everything I wanted extra information on, I went to the town library. Without realizing it I had spent the whole day reading. Now, I could pretty much recite the name of every country in this continent. 'Studying about this world really feels more like reading a fantasy novel, it's weird, I thought that I've already acclimated to this world, but it seems I've just starting adapting.'

The library was closing, so I left and went to Via 
Appia to get dinner. "Miss Cecilia! Welcome back, what can I get you today?" I've become a bit of a regular here since it's the closest restaurant and the food here is quite good. After dinner I walked back to the inn. 

From what I learned, I now know that this country is called, Terminus.

The dawn of a beautiful morning graces throughout Whitemoor in its majestic brilliance as the sun shines brightly to reveal its eternal spectacle.

Three days have passed since the occurrence in the Bandit Encampment, Gray and Isamu, fortunately, have not encountered any incidents so far, continuing their journey peacefully as they are seen to be following a sloped road, going upward that leads to Chadena.

During those times, during at night to be exact, Gray opted to educate himself even more about this world's inner working by reading the Codex when they are at camp.

As such, he was able to gain a considerable amount of knowledge about this world in his endeavors.

Such knowledge includes the monsters that he has faced, the books that he read in the Archives, a few bits of the world's lore with terminologies of the land and people, and some game mechanics since most are not yet unlocked.

Speaking of the Town, Chadena should only be a few hundred steps from here according to the Map, so it will only be a matter of time until they have arrived.

While walking and enjoying the sights of the countryside, the two converses with one another carefreely to kill the time, with Isamu being the more talkative out of the two.

"And that's how I ended up with an Elven lass at my bed the very next day at the tavern, hahaha!!" 

Gray could only chuckle at the Cat-folk's interesting stories about his shenanigans in Chadena.

"Heh, you must be some sort of a ladies' man huh," Gray smirks with a playful tone.

"Hahaha, I'm not denying that." Isamu laughs at the Elf's statement proudly. "When we arrive at Chadena, you should join me sometime at the tavern for a drink. The Fighter's Retreat is a perfect place to grovel yourself in a drunken splendor after a good ole day of adventures and quests."

Reminiscing his time back on Earth, Gray was quite a drinker, wallowing into cans of beer all by himself after a day of hard work at the game company.

As such, Gray nodded happily in response, saying that he is looking forward to the pleasures of alcohol yet again. He also thought in the utmost regard of how the said liquor tastes during this current old era.

After all, he did miss his chance of doing so at the tavern in Oakwood since he's occupied with a Quest and currently on the initial stages of his adjustment in this fantasy world.

Perhaps now he could enjoy the fine grandeur of the entertainment and things that Silverhart has to offer to him.

Hiking through the inclined road and finally reaching the top, Gray could only widen his eyes upon now witnessing something grand in a distance as he tries to make up of the details of the sight being marveled at him.

"Is that?" Gray's could only utter in question upon seeing a large town filled with many houses and establishments that are surrounded by brick stone walls of architectural awe.

"Aha!! And here we are!!" Isamu grins in response as he pointed his finger at it. "That's Chadena alright, home of the renowned Warrior's Guild and a haven for Warriors such as myself. She's a beauty, is she not?"

The Elf nods in agreement. After all, it's his first time witnessing a huge town personally in this fantasy world.

Oakwood is nice and all, but the town from what he sees is by far leagues ahead in terms of architecture, and design.


Anyways, the two wasted no time as they resume their trek, the exhaustion of the journey finally gone upon seeing their destination right in front of their very eyes.

A glimpse of civilization finally greeted the two as they could now see some houses and farmlands outside of the town, with different people occupied in their own business as they perform their usual daily routine.

As they finally approach the two-door big wooden gates of the town, they could see two guards stationed as he performs his lookout duty with serious conviction.

Gray took notice of the Guards' equipment: a red tabard with the insignia of a lion's face that covers his mail shirt and leggings underneath. Their helmet is made of steel with a leather neck guard that supports the lower portion of their face. Both are also equipped with a sword, and a kite shield with the same lion insignia trapped on the back.

Overall, the men certainly do look the part of a Guard in most RPG games that he played.

Peering into the status bar, Gray wonders how an average guard would stand out in this very world that he lives.

'As a Guard, surely they must be at least powerful in their own right.' The Arcanist rubs his chin in curiosity. 'After all, in most RPGs that I played, Guards are powerful NPCs that not even the hero himself would stand a chance against them, in the early stages of the game at least. The unrealism of such a system stems from the fact that such powerful individuals tend to only stay in a single town instead of going out there and make use of their mighty strength to help out the world instead of a hero who is weak at the beginning. As a matter of fact, they may do a better job than the hero himself and might save the world in a single fucking day. But I guess that's how games work for the protagonist to shine.'

A good example of this is the Witcher 3, where the Witcher, a powerful mutant who have undergone extensive training, ruthless mental and physical conditioning, and the three gruesome trials to become a monster slayer feared throughout the entire land, only to be one-shot by pesky average guards in White Orchard.

'Huh.' Gray blinks in a slight surprise upon seeing the mediocre stats of the Guard. 'I guess they are not as strong as I thought they would be. Thank goodness that this world retains some of the logic from real life.'

Indeed, if there really are powerful guards roaming around in this town, then there's no absolute need for a Warrior's Guild to be here in the first place.

The Guards seeing the newcomers approaching assumes a position of attention as one of them, the higher level of the two, inquires the Warrior and Mage of their intentions in town. 

"What is your business here in Chadena, citizens?"

"Haha, relax Brandon." The Cat-folk snickers, crossing his arm in amusement as he seemed to be in familiar terms with the Guard. "It's just me."

"Just doing my job, Isamu." The Guard, Brandon, now smiles at the Cat-folk but still retains his firm posture in the line of duty. Then he saw Isamu's Elven companion as he questions. "Who's your companion?"

"Ah, this is my new friend I encountered during my mission, Gray Allister." Isamu happily introduces the Elf to the Guard. "Don't worry, he's trustworthy, that I can assure you. He merely seeks a carriage driver for faster transportation into the capital."

"I see." Brandon nods in understanding and shifted his attention to Gray. "Very well, since Isamu spoke on your behalf, you may enter."

Brandon and his fellow guard then open the gate as Gray and Isamu are now granted entry into Chadena.

Gray's eyes could not help but glimmer with utmost excitement, looking forward to what's inside of the Town. 

Up in the sky, a certain brown sparrow is shown to be constantly keeping its sights on the said Elf, not even sparing a moment as it followed him just as instructed by its powerful master.

Gray Allister woke up one day in the middle of an unknown forest. After an unforgettable moment with a monster rabbit, he met the System Goddess, Sylvia, telling him that he is in the world of Silverhart, a magical place erupted in a state of constant conflict where only the strongest can survive. After receiving his abilities, Gray is going to take Silverhart by storm!! In an epic journey to conquer and save the entire fantasy realm.

In a hospital room there were two men; one was a man in a suit his looks were average but there was something about him that drew peoples attentions, beside him was another man that laid there barely moving, he had raven black hair and dark blue eyes that had a subtle glow to them when the light hit them just right.

"Are you sure bishop if you do this there is no going back?" (???)

"Alex you have known me for several years now you should know that there is nothing left for me here, I can't move my body, I am in constant pain with no way to relieve it and now I learned that I only have a week to live what else is there for me." (Bishop)

"But if you do this you might have a life far worse than right now, don't you realize that the system was never meant to be used like this!" (Alex)

"True however I am given several benefits to get around that, I will live no matter what I deserve at least that much, so please continue." (Bishop)

"Very well, just listen to the program then put in your choices, no one from out here will be able to help you after this, though you can send messages to me whenever you want information, I might be able to help you on that point." (Alex)

"Thank you Alex." (Bishop)

 Following this Alex switched the machine on causing Bishop to receive a shock to his brain followed by all movement stopping and the hear monitor giving a ring, the nurse walked in calmly shutting off the machine then stood to the side waiting for Alex to leave.

"Goodbye my old friend I hope your new life is better than the one given to you." (Alex)

After the message disappeared the surroundings disappeared and I was looking over a small town which had travelers going in and out from it, I guess this was the starting area the system was talking about. Looking down I checked my body trying to regain the feeling that I had lost for so long, once I got used to moving again I opened up my menu checking everything before moving on.

 I guess that's the only information I will get out of the menu; if I want to know more I will have to discover it myself, since I won't get anything done by standing here might as well head into town. The best thing I can do at the moment is find a contract and get myself a few coins for living expenses.

a man with a very dark and hidden past decides to fine a new life in a world meant to hold criminals, sure it has been changed a bit to fit his needs but that doesn't mean it is any easier after all it was originally designed to punish the worst of the worst

Following the method of communication left behind by the other party the previous time, Yang Ling found a black-robed man staying at the Shangri-La. The latter brought Yang Ling through treacherous paths and over mountains before they arrived at their outpost in the forest, half a day later. Yang Ling did not expect to coincidentally bump into Maryse, who had also just returned, before meeting Elder Klive.
"Oh, Sir Yang Ling?" the black-robed Maryse exclaimed in surprise, and smiled coldly. "Sir, I did not think that we would meet this soon!"
After her repeated failures, she hated the detestable Yang Ling to the core. If not for her worry that she would attract the attention of others and affect her teacher's plan, she would have long ago infiltrated Wissen Castle to turn Yang Ling into a skeleton using her Dark Magic.
"Miss Maryse, to think that you got even more alluring during the short time we have been apart!" Looking at the alluring Maryse, Yang Ling smiled faintly and said, "Beautiful, you are too beautiful!"
Too beautiful?
Maryse's hair stood on end in her fury. She saw Yang Ling looking at the flower pinned near her chest, recalling how he had spouted nonsense the last time they had met. But she did not have the chance to react as Yang Ling quickly followed the black-robed man into Elder Klive's tent. She did not have a chance to erupt.
She stomped impetuously, but Maryse knew she had no choice but to leave. No matter how angry she was, she did not dare be insolent in front of her teacher. There would be an opportunity to punish Yang Ling if she waited by the door. She did not believe that Yang Ling would be able to stay in her teacher's tent forever.
Maryse became angrier the more she thought about Yang Ling, while Yang Ling conferred with the elusive Elder Klive. He did not beat around the bush, but said immediately, "Elder, I need two hundred experienced Alchemists who can make magical staffs, and the sooner the better. As an exchange, I'll help you look for the relic of the giant dragon. My family has a unique approach when it comes to searching!"
Yang Ling summoned a few Horned Bee Beasts, instructing them to fly into the distance. He then quickly drew out the surrounding terrain using the information the Horned Bee Beasts transmitted back to him.
As an elder from the Dark Association, Elder Klive not only had abilities that ran deep beyond comprehension, he was also a very scheming man. Yang Ling knew that rather than beat around the bush in front of a person like that, he might as well get straight to the point so that they would not waste each other's time.
The other party needed the relics of the giant dragon. Yang Ling believed that the elder would be satisfied with the condition for exchange after understanding his abilities. SInce he had already agreed to help the leader of the Wolf Troops, Kerband, in searching for the relics of the giant dragon, he did not mind selling the same information twice.
Simultaneously commanding a large number of Magical Beasts to scout the area?
Indeed, after feeling the faint, unique ripples of mental energy in the air, looking at the terrain of the outpost Yang Ling had quickly drawn out, Elder Klive quickly understood Yang Ling's abilities, and he had a hard time hiding his mounting excitement.
Over this period of time, the association had invested a huge amount of resources and manpower trying to find the relics of the giant dragon as quickly as possible, but the results were negligible. As more factions swarmed into Wissen Town, with the quick arrival of the Church's elites, the situation was getting more chaotic and critical. The had to hurry and find the relics of the giant dragon.
After a moment's deliberation, Elder Klive said, "A hundred Alchemists. Also, the Dark Association will have the priority when it comes to purchasing the magical staffs you made, at a forty percent discount!"
Over this period of time, even though he had spent most of his energy on searching for the relics of the giant dragon, he had had someone report the situation in Wissen Town to him daily. Hearing Yang Ling ask for Alchemists experienced in creating magical staffs, he did not have to think too hard to understand his motives.
There were many Magical Beasts in the Terras Forest, and it was not hard to make a stockpile of premium magical staffs as long as there was enough manpower. Since Yang Ling had something to ask of him, he naturally would not miss out on such a good opportunity. After all, the association needed a large amount of premium magical staffs every year, too.
It was a little difficult to assemble two hundred Alchemists at a moment's notice, but gathering a hundred of them quickly should not be too big of a problem. Trading a hundred Alchemists for a living map was unquestionably worth it. With Yang Ling's help, they would be able to search deeper into a few areas of interest.
After scouting around for a long period of time, the association had narrowed down their target's location to a few areas of interest. But the overall radius was still large, and the fact that an average person would not be able to get near many of the places made the search that much more difficult. But Yang Ling was different. He could command Magical Beasts to scout any area. With his help, and with a detailed map, he would be able to quickly pinpoint areas where the relics of the giant dragon could be.
Furthermore, Yang Ling had a mysterious background. Cooperating with the powerful family of Ancient Summoners behind him would be beneficial to the association. They would obtain a powerful ally and shock the overbearing Church. In fact, they could even one day ask them to enter dangerous environments to tame powerful dark element Magical Beasts, creating an army of powerful Mythical Beasts.
Even though it was only a hundred Alchemists, it was enough in Yang Ling's eyes. He had achieved his aim for the journey!
As long as he used the hundred experienced Alchemists well, he would be able to create a good number of premium magical staffs. More importantly, with their leadership and guidance, he would be able to gain an endless stream of benefits if half of the Gnomes or human craftsmen learned how to create magical staffs.
"Forty percent is too little, Elder, you wouldn't want to see me bankrupt, do you? Ten percent is the best I can do!"
"Thirty percent!"

After a round of haggling, Yang Ling arrived at an agreement of a twenty percent discount with the elder. The one hundred Alchemists that the elder promised would be transported from various places through the Magical Teleportation Formation three days later, and in exchange, Yang Ling was to draw the maps of the areas of interest in ten days. It was a win-win situation!
Before he left, looking at the heavily guarded Magical Teleportation Formation in the outpost, Yang Ling had a thought and said, "Elder, your association is powerful and possesses the loyalty of many Spellcasters. Could you help me build a Magical Teleportation Formation at Black Water City and at Wissen Castle?"
The safest way to conduct a large-scale excavation of the Five-colored Crystal Vein was to build a Magical Teleportation Formation at the Taildon Valley and Wissen Castle. But, for the sake of confidentiality, he could not allow the members of the Dark Association to know of the existence of the Five-colored Crystal Vein. Considering this, building a Magical Teleportation Formation at Black Water City was also a decent option!
"I'm sorry Yang Ling, setting up a Magical Teleportation requires Black Obsidian, Fantasy Crystals and a large amount of premium crystal ores. Even I cannot help you if you don't have the required ingredients!"
As a space element sage level Spellcaster, Elder Klive himself was an expert in setting up Magical Teleportation Formations. Unfortunately, that process required a lengthy list of rare crystals. Even the entire Dark Association only had a few Magical Teleportation Formations.
Fantasy Crystals?
Elder Klive's words meant more to Yang Ling than he intended. While Elder Klive said that he could not help, Yang Ling saw a glimmer of hope. The Black Obsidian was not a problem. There was quite a number of them under the Sumeer tribe's care at the Wilderness of Siberia. He would be able to bring carts full of that material back, much less one or two.
Even one premium crystal ore might be incredibly rare to an average person, much less a large batch of them. But it was not a problem to him. As long as he got Goode to increase the speed of the Five-colored Crystal Vein's extraction, he might be able to gather them in a few days.
Since that was the case, the problem lay in where he was going to find the so-called Fantasy Crystal!
After learning about the shape and characteristics of the Fantasy Crystal, Yang Ling left, feeling deeply rewarded. The Five-colored Crystal Vein harbored a large variety of crystal ores, and it was not impossible that it also had a substantial number of Fantasy Crystals.
Yang Ling mounted his Unicorn and left as quick as the wind, charging out of the door of the Dark Association's outpost. In the end, Maryse, who had waited for some time, was caught off guard and missed her opportunity. The few traps she had spent so much time on did not have any effect, much to her anger.
After returning to Wissen Castle, Yang Ling ordered Orlando to find Goode quickly, then instructed the latter to hasten the construction of the military factory, as well as increase the rate of excavation ata the Five-colored Crystal Vein.
Now that he had a hundred experienced Alchemists, enough Magical Beast Essence Crystals, and a sizeable amount of manpower, the next problem was to deal with the excavation at the Five-colored Crystal Vein. As long as he could extract a substantial amount of premium crystal ores and sell them through his Wissen Merchant Team or Harribell's Boulade Merchant Association for crystal coins, his capital chain would remain safe.
Furthermore, the Five-colored Crystal Vein harbored a wide variety of crystal ores. There was a good possibility that he would be able to set up a convenient Magical Teleportation Formation as long as he found the so-called Fantasy Crystal. When that time came, he would be able to conduct a large-scale excavation of the Five-colored Crystal Vein. Even if any accidents were to happen, he would be able to help them from the Wissen Castle!
With the guarantee of the capital chain, he would be able to continue buying Magical Beast Essence Crystals and Magical Beast Eggs from the adventurers, further pressing on the sales of resources relating to Magical Beasts of the large merchant associations, completely monopolizing these resources.
This way, purchasing the Magical Beast Essence Crystals and Magical Beast Eggs at a high price while aggressively selling magical staffs that had high profit margins would create a virtuous cycle, gradually increasing the adventurer's reliance on the Beast Taming Ground. He would then be able to build the first Hunter Association on his territory when the time was right!
In Yang Ling's preliminary plan, the military factory was the spearhead of the territory's overall development. It would produce a large amount of magical staffs, but it would also allow the Gnomes to draw Magical Spell Formations to create magical armor and weapons. It would allow Rumi, the dwarves and craftsmen to create various miniature bombs, as well as allow Alice to research various lethal poisons.
Of course, the military factory would only sell magical staffs at the beginning. As the secret weapon of the territory, the magical armor of the dwarves and the poisons created by Alice were not for sale.
As an exchange, Yang Ling was supposed to draw out the terrain of a few areas of interest for the Dark Association. After resting for a night, Goode rushed in in a hurry just as he was prepared to head to the first location.
"Sir, the Twin-headed Ogre Braska had sent someone to travel through the night to deliver this piece of news. They once again found Crystal Diamonds in the Five-colored Crystal Vein, in fact, they also discovered a few drops of Crystal Marrow!" Goode was incredibly excited, nervously looking around as he spoke, afraid that someone would hear this alarming piece of news.

Goode was incredibly excited, and Yang Ling soon joined him in glee. In Montson, a Crystal Diamond was enough to cause a stir amongst the nobles, much less the rare and precious Crystal Marrow!


CA mesmerizing female moonlight priest, a beauty of the darkness who captivates the soul of others… They all flood to his side!

With the help of the mysterious Wizard Power and terrifying Magical Beasts, Yang Ling had successfully created his very own divine path, at the same time enjoying fame in all parts of the world.

But as a Wizard, would he be able to avoid the mortal enemies of the Wizards back in the day -- The Lord and the Arbiter?
Let us wait and see...

Actually, this was logic-defying on several levels.

It was actually illogical for a small piece of metal not larger than a finger to be a key to a hidden map within a mountain. [Editor's Note: Uhm author, that's exactly what a typical key is… only thing illogical here is your thought process...]

However, there were times like these special circumstances where logic would take a step back to make room for fantasy. Just like how one side of a mountain right now was depending on this very small key to be unlocked. Ye Ci dismounted from Ol' Four and quickly found the Hidden Treasure Gulf's entrance. She lifted the vines covering the cave entrance and carefully studied its walls.

Soon after, her close inspection revealed the small slot that had the exact same shape as the metal piece in her hand.

Without much thought, Ye Ci pressed the metal piece into the tiny slot. Ye Ci had envisioned that there would be a rumbling sound accompanied by smoke and dust like how they usually portrayed these things in television shows or movies whenever somebody opened the entrance to a cave, but that wasn't the case. A simple notification from the system appeared in front of her instead.

"Are you sure you wish to enter this map - Hidden Treasure Gulf?"

"Yes."

"As this is an unexplored map, you might face untold dangers. Do you still wish to enter the map, Hidden Treasure Gulf?" The system would always warn players to proceed with caution while pioneering these unexplored maps, hinting that they should not underestimate the difficulty of these places.

"Yes."

"You'll have exclusive rights to explore the map for 72 hours. Once 72 hours have passed, the map will be made available to all players regardless of your exploration progress. We wish you good luck." After cautiously informing Ye Ci of the limited time she had to explore the map, the system teleported Ye Ci into a map that she was unfamiliar with.

Out of habit, Ye Ci called out her minimap to assess her current whereabouts. However, all she could see on the minimap was darkness. She was momentarily shocked before remembering that this was the unexplored map, which would explain why it appeared differently. Closing her minimap, Ye Ci dug into her bag and took out a sheepskin roll.

This was the map Tick had appraised for her. However, Ye Ci noticed that the outer edges of the area were dark and it was unclear what the map said about these areas. She took out a torch from her bag and lit it up to see the minor details on the map more clearly.

"The map is now synchronized with the terrain, would you like to virtualize the map?" The system asked.

Virtualize the map? Even Ye Ci, who was a reincarnator, did not understand what the system meant. Yet as she thought about it, she accepted the choice. Immediately, the map in her hands disappeared and a transparent map appeared in front of her. She could see a tiny golden blip and a tiny green blip on the map, with the former indicating her position, and the latter was Ol' Four.

With this, she would be able to traverse the place with the aid of her minimap.

Lifting the torch, she could see where she was very clearly. She was in a narrow cave. Tree roots grew unchecked throughout the cave via a hole in the ceiling. Mushrooms lined the walls of the cave, appearing full of vitality. The ground was moist, giving off a sticky sensation.

Ye Ci advanced carefully with Ol' Four following closely behind her, always half a step away. The two soon walked into rays of golden light. It was the rays of a setting sun.

She heaved a sigh of relief upon realizing that the cave was actually not as long as she had expected. She hastened to walk out, when suddenly a sharp piercing voice screeched through the air. "Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!"

This voice was metallic and stiff. It was obvious the voice of an automaton. Ye Ci immediately sprinted towards the exit of the cave after a moment of hesitation. She spotted at least 8 automatons charging towards her.

Ye Ci cast Detection. The automatons didn't have very high levels, with most of them at lvl 32 or lvl 33. However, they were Elite Monsters, which meant that they had higher HP than the average level of 32 or 33 monsters, and their damage would be higher as well. Without the slightest hesitation, she commanded Ol' Four to attack while she supported it from behind with her ranged attacks.

Since Ol' Four was a heavyweight mount, as long as it had high Loyalty, it would be an effective killing machine. It did not take long for Ye Ci to turn the automatons into scrap metal. She then proceeded to the drawbridge at the exit of the cave leading to the Hidden Treasure Gulf.

Perhaps due to the fact that the automatons were dispatched quickly, their cries of alarm did not summon any other monsters to their aid. It could also be that the automatons were just a farce designed to scare the players. Regardless of what it might be, Ye Ci became alert. She unslung her crossbow and advanced carefully, maintaining her vigilance. She would be ready if something were to happen.

What was strange was that Ye Ci had never encountered any offensive type NPCs. In fact, there was not a single NPC in sight. Ye Ci remained alert as she traversed through the Hidden Treasure Gulf. Before long, she was already at the harbor.

This was strange.

What was this situation?

Ye Ci decided to try out something and immediately came out of her Hidden State. Upon doing that, she could hear the voices of those small robots roar up once again. "Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!" At this point, Ye Ci saw that opposite her, the lights in the beautiful harbor had been extinguished and became completely dark.

So it was like this.

The corners of her mouth raised as Ye Ci summoned Ol Four to destroy the robots. Then she returned to the entrance and did the following. She dismissed Ol Four and cast camouflage as she pretended not to know anything. This time round, she chose not to encircle the area, and headed for the top of the Hidden Treasure Gulf.

This was because the leader of the Hidden Treasure Gulf, Town Leader Finny stayed there.

In this state, her movement speed was slow. To use this method to reach his hut was very time consuming. It was a good thing Ye Ci had patience. After spending over an hour to climb the hill, she finally reached Finny's small wooden hut.

"Is that so?" Ye Ci answered in a slight mocking tone, a glint shining off the dagger she had pointed at his neck.

Cade stood rooted in front of a small house with a bewildered expression. As if he was not convinced enough, he pinched his thigh and slapped his cheeks just to make sure that everything was real! 

"What in the world?!" He nearly screamed out loud. 

He looked back at the small wooden house with a crooked orange roof and stone chimney. He then looked at the grassy area with a fire in the center. Behind the hut, he could also hear a loud snore that echoed repeatedly. On the left of the house, was a gold mine. And on the right was an elixir collector.

The screen window that was hovering in front of him further confirmed his thoughts! 

"So I really have the CoC System!" Cade said to himself. He could only sigh and accept that he really was in a new world. 

"Oh well, since I don't know what is going to happen next, I might as well get moving. Who knows, goblins might really come and attack." With a sigh, Cade went back inside the Town Hall. 

Earlier, he found himself dozed off inside the Town Hall. As for why he was sent here, it was because he died. 
 
He was playing CoC with his phone as he crossed the street when he was suddenly slammed by a speeding truck. When he woke up, he found himself taking a nap on the table. 

Cade was a normal college student on earth. He just started his third year, but who would have thought that he would die in such a tender age of 21. Well, although it was technically not his fault, as he was in a pedestrian lane, his carelessness was still to be blamed. 

He could only imagine his parents and siblings mourning for his death, especially his mother. But right now, Cade had more important things to do. 

Surely, this was a new world, not some online game. And since the game is fantasy-themed, then the probability of this world being a magical place is very high. There could be goblins, orcs, monsters, dragons and many unknown.

Cade played the game for nearly 2 years. He even reached Town Hall Level 11 with all of his buildings maxed. So, of course, he already knew everything about the game like the back of his hand. But right now, he found himself confused if this was really a CoC system. 

Well, there were actually not many changes on the interface, it was the content. 
 
Just like the game, Cade could see an area of 40x40 space. There was the Town Hall, Builder's Hut, the Army Camp, and the Gold Mine. There was also a red dot right on the Town Hall, Cade figured that it indicated his position. 

Since this was not a game anymore, all of those game functions were removed. 

The attack button, the chat button, and all of the online buttons were removed except for the shop, achievements, trophy, setting, and the 2 bars that indicated how much gold and elixir and gems he had. The bar that indicated available Builders was also still there, and besides it was a bar that indicated Residents Limit and not the shield.

Cade then tapped on the Shop button, but when he opened it, he was surprised. (Please take note that the online stuff was removed.)

Instead of only four, it was instead six. 

Army, Resources, Traps, Defenses, Houses (New), and Materials(New).

The problem is, instead of actually being buildings, the shop sold the materials and the blueprint. 

"Interesting," Cade felt that the snoring behind the small house hot louder. "Looks like it is still the same, same content, just different pictures. I just need to buy those materials and the Builder will build it. Thankfully, the prizes are still the same. Well, unfortunately, the Town Hall limiter still applies." Since his town hall was still level 1,  he could only access the thirteen buildings available. But still, he would have to have money to be able to buy them.

Cade suddenly frowned as he thought of a problem, "How the hell am I supposed to earn money if I can't attack other villages?! Will I have to actually wait for the Gold and Elixir mines for my resources?" But after a while of thinking, he concluded that since this is a new world, the people should have a currency of their own. And since this world looked pretty backward, gold and silver should be the current currency the people use. 

No matter where you go, the beauty of Gold always attracts the eyes of anyone.

He tapped on what was tappable and was surprised to find a new function.

"So I can actually buy them separately. That's good, that's good." Cade heaved a sigh of relief when he found out that he could actually purchase the materials and the blueprints separately.

Cade then looked at the 2 new 'products' that were labeled as new, and what he saw surprised him.

The House had all kinds of houses. From a bungalow to the fanciest building. But Cade could not even bother to continue his grand dream after looking at the prices. Although the prices of the blueprints are only 1/4 of the total price, the materials listed were difficult to cough up in this backward world. Well, assuming that it is backward.

Cade then moved on to the Materials, and he was not really surprised by what he saw. The products were pretty simple. Such as woods, stone, and metals. But as he scrolled sideways, Cade was beginning to get surprised. After all, even cement, cloths, papers, plastics, and many more. But what really surprised him was that everything was available, there were no restrictions and all the products were purchasable by gold and elixir. That means he could buy them... if he had money.

"Wow!" Cade exclaimed from ecstasy as he smiled with satisfaction. "With this, I should be able to live my life with ease. But then again, who knows, a villain might come," said Cade jokingly to himself.

"Now, it's about time I begin building." Cade began to tap on the screen. 

With his Level 1 Town Hall, Cade only had 1000 storage space for both of his resources. Thankfully, both were full, and that means that the Gold Mine and Elixir Collector would stop their operation. So right now, he had to buy Gold and Elixir Storage. 

He tapped and bought the Gold Storage to see what happens and when he did, he was redirected to the map. Meaning, he had to choose the location where the storage will be built.

He confirmed it to right beside the Gold Mine and the materials were dumped in that area. Just to make sure, Cade went out to check, and indeed, the materials magically appeared there. 

Suddenly, the snoring from behind the Town Hall that he was ignoring stopped. Then Cade heard footsteps coming towards him. He looked back and saw a man with large blue eyes. An extremely short man with a cheesy smile on his face. As if no matter what happened, that smile would never disappear.

The man wore a yellow-brown aviator hat, a brown sleeveless shirt, and leather-like pants and orange shoes. He also held a stone hammer on his right hand. The man was the Builder, a dwarf.

When the dwarf saw Cade, his smile turned even cheesier and he spoke.

"Boss, I hear you got a job for me?" Contrary to his appearance, his voice was quite husky.

Cade felt weird and shocked seeing the dwarf. He had seen some people with dwarfism, but he never saw some look that way. It was like he was seeing a dwarf One Piece character. 

"Uhh... Ahem... I believe it's that one." Cade pretended to cough before pointing towards the pile of materials right beside the Gold Mine.

The dwarf turned to see the pile and his eyes turned bright. He ignored Cade and walked towards the pile of materials with his hammer. But he stopped when he heard Cade call out.

"Sir, what should I call you?" 

The dwarf turned around and answered, "I am called Thorin."
