In an Airplane, about 40,000 feet above the ground; a man sitting near a window looked at the photo in his hand with slightly moist eyes.

Every time he sits aboard a plane, he would look at this same picture with sadness and grief. This was the picture of his deceased mother who died in a plane crash 6 years ago, and now every time travels on a plane he would take out this same picture and look at it.

He didn't know why: but for an unknown reason every time he flew aboard the plane he had an urge to look at this picture of his mother.

"Eh, Sir are you alright!" The flight attendant asked, seeing his moist eyes as he looked at the picture in his hand.

"Oh, everything is alright." The man came out of his daze, as he heard the attendant's voice.

"Are you sure, you don't look fine to me!" The flight attendants once again asked to be on the safe side; because the passenger in front of her seems to be emotionally unstable.

"No, everything is fine. It's just, every time I am on a plane; I become like this." The man looked at the flight attendant and said.

"Sir….by any chance do you have aviophobia!" The flight attendant asked, clearly not understanding that the man wasn't afraid of flying instead it was something completely different.

"No!, I am not afraid of flights. I just miss my mom." Saying so, the man proceeded to put the picture in his pocket.

"Oh!! If you say so. But, Sir if you need anything just press this button." Saying so the flight attendant walked past the man; thinking, 'Maybe it's his first time being on a plane. But did he had to pretend like that.'

While the flight attendant walked away; the man put a blindfold on and went to sleep.

'Jon, wake up it's time... wake up Jon, otherwise, you will be late for your class....

Jon, bad news your mother is in the hospital...….

Jon, Jon, Jon, Jon, Jon, Jon...…..'

"Wah!!" The man/Jon wakes up from the same nightmare he has been having for the past 6 years. This dream still haunts him to this day. After taking a long breath, Jon put on the blindfold and tried to sleep once again, hoping that he wouldn't have the nightmare again.

But the moment he closed his eyes, Jon found himself in a place filled with endless darkness. He could still see his hand, feet, and legs; and even feel them. But everything around him seems to be swallowed by darkness.

"Hello, anyone here…..Hello!" Jon tried calling for help, but he heard no response. In fact, he even doubted if his voice even left his vocal cords. Because he didn't hear any voice.

But suddenly a voice sounded from all directions.

"Welcome Chosen One, Please select one of the following abilities." As the voice fades away a stats window like the ones in games appears; at the corner of Jon's eyes.

[PLEASE SELECT A STARTER ABILITY!

1: LUCKY AURA

2: ANOTHER CHANCE

3: EXP TRANSFER]

The sudden appearance of the strange panel startled Jon, and he unknowingly selected 'Exp Transfer'. As the other two options disappeared, the voice once again sounded.

"Congratulations to the Chosen One; for selecting an ability. Returning in 3..2..1."

Suddenly Jon felt his surroundings change and he heard an overwhelming cry; followed by a roar.

Awol!!!!

Roar!!!!

The plane started to shake, but soon it turned back to normal. Taking off the blindfold, Jon found himself back in the airplane. Just as he was about to sigh in relief, he heard a Cry and a Roar that shook his whole being.

"Ahh! What the hell was that." One of the passengers started freaking out; and soon after another followed. And in the blink of an eye, everyone started pressing the emergency button; despite flight attendants being right beside them.

"Sir, Sir, please calm down everything is ok. That was probably just wind!" Said a flight attendant who quickly came out of the horror she just left from those sounds.

"Sirs, although you might find it strange; but sometimes the wind can produce bizarre sounds." Another attendant followed her lead and dumped everything on the wind.

Soon, the frightened passengers started to calm down; and believed the words of beautiful flight attendants. After calming the passengers, two attendants headed toward the control room; leaving an attendant behind in case of emergency.

"That was nothing like the wind, it was more like wild animals howling. But which animals sound like that?" Jon thought to himself, as he had been traveling in the plane for 2 years now; but he never heard the wind as strange as the one he heard a moment ago.

Many peoples in the Plane were thinking the same thing as him; as they started demanding to talk to the pilots.

Looking at the people's behavior; Jon once again put the blindfold on and tried sleeping. But just as the blindfold was right next to his eye, he remembers the strange dream he just had a few moments ago; before that strange howling sounds.

Nightmares are nothing new to him, as he has been having nightmares since childhood. But the one he had a few moments ago felt very real; like it really happened.

"Wasn't that thing like the stats bars in games. Eh, I remember reading a lot of fantasy novels where there was something like a system with unimaginable powers. Weren't these both things quite familiar? Maybe I need to see a doctor!" Jon put away the blindfold and closed his eyes to forget about the bizarre thoughts he was having.

"Hehe, I am such a dummy, how can I think about something like that. It's not like I will say 'stats' and my stats panel will appear in front of me." Jon exclaimed while making fun of himself.

When Jon opened his eyes he saw a light blue-colored hologram screen a few inches away from his face. 'What!!'

Looking at the hologram screen; Jon felt like he was dreaming. But before he could conform, if the stats panel in front of him was real; an overwhelming roar sounds once again.

Roar!!!!!!

Suddenly the plane started to shake uncontrollably, and before long it descended toward the ground at an extremely fast speed.

"Did we just lose an engine!?" A man sitting at the far end said; listening to him all the passengers started peeking through the windows to see if they truly lost an engine.

Immediately, Jon looked through the window to see the left-wing of the plane destroyed; as well as the left turbo engine.

"Crap, this is way worse than losing an engine," Jon explained out aloud. Soon the passenger sitting on the left side also saw the same thing.

And before long the whole plane went into an uproar.

"What!! I don't want to die like this, I still have children waiting for me back home."

"Me either, I too have a family to support. What would they do if I die here?"

"Dear God, please have mercy on this faithful follower of yours!"

"There must be parachutes here; in case of emergency right? Vah me one right now!"

"Yeah, he's right to give us the parachutes!"

"Dear God, please have mercy on me."

"God, if you are there, please help me survive this. After all, this is over, I will become a faithful believer."

Hearing people panicking; Jon closed his eyes as thought to himself, 'Is this how I am going to die? At least I will be reunited with my mother.'

After thinking about his mother; Jon's fear of death decreased a lot. He closed his eyes and started getting ready to embrace death.

After a few minutes of hearing the screams of scared passengers; Jon finally left the plane crashing into something. What followed after was silence; pin drop silence. Which broke, by a shout.

"Wow!! I am still alive."

I died while watching the last episode of Game of Thrones. Now, a new life is expecting me and I intend to live it fully.

At one point in my life I went by the name Hishaku Arisu, even that time when I was briefly incarcerated. Now however, in this strange place with strange people, I am Aeolus, supreme overlord of Aeolia, conqueror of Elrev.
Aeolia is the name of the floating land above Dorma the capital city of Halrio in the game Kingdom Crawlers. It's a Massive Multiplayer Online Fantasy Role Playing Game aka MMORPG, with magic and dragons and stuff like that. Players around the world are supposed to complete various quests, compete in arena style contests, participate in player versus player events, gather XP and max out all their stats, skills and levels to advance onto greater quests, fame and fortune. One of the major quests that almost every player in the land of Elrev wishes to complete or at least come close to completing is the magical floating land, Aeolia and obtain secret information, scrolls and skill boosts within the dark castle at the center, that may unlock hidden levels and skills in the game exclusive only to the person or party that finishes the quest. It's too high up for flight magic to reach and even so, it has a magical, level 140 barrier around it, and past that are the monsters and magical beasts that protect the interior. Players call it the floating fortress that puts Fort Knox to shame. I named my character wittingly aiming for the day I become the champion of Aeolia… And I did. I even remodeled the island and rebuilt the castle on it to my liking and image.
Since I was six, I've been a gamer. Didn't matter what kind of game, could be chess, cards or even mahjong, but I was the best at whatever game I started and online videogames were no exception. By the time I was fourteen I was so obsessed with computers and technology that I had already become a hacker without realizing, and since I was a major shut-in with no friends IRL, videogames were the only things I did tirelessly. By seventeen the entire gaming world knew my name. They called me the pro-gamer, Black controller, but since I made a living off hacking, I couldn't ever reveal my identity. Them knowing that I've beaten every game and currently hold the record in Japan for best online game player is good enough. If people knew I was BC, they'd think I used cheat codes I obtained by hacking software companies to win. Winning would be fairly easy that way, I agree, but I have never cheated in any videogame. It's easy to cheat with cards and board games since that's what your basically supposed to do to win when not relying on luck, but I've never cheated in a videogame because the thrill of winning vanishes if I do. Occasionally, trolls spread rumors about how BC cheats to win all the games he's played. I don't really care what people think I do to win, however, since I'm basically an illegal hacker, I can't have anyone finding out I'm BC or I'd have serious jail time. Five months ago, I was arrested on charges of assisted robbery. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, aka The Killjoys, found out I helped this crazy dude hack into the bank's security cameras, so he could rob the place without footage showing up. But the case was suddenly ruled inconclusive due to a major lack of evidence and I was released after five months behind bars.
The day I got released, I ended up dying. I know, lame. The funniest thing happened though, after arriving at Shinjuku, while heading to my apartment, I was pushed into traffic by some guy, but when I turned around right before getting hit by a car, I heard him say "Oops! Wrong guy." After that I woke up here, in this dark, empty space of nothingness, with the same appearance I had when playing Kingdom Crawlers; horns, cloak, staff, long straight hair and everything, and before me is the dude who ended my life. What the hell is going on?
"Don't be alarmed," He speaks, his voice sounding softer than I originally processed. "It's me. The guy who pushed you."

After being accidentally killed by the god of Earth, NET. Hishaku Arisu is offered a chance to reincarnate into another world owned by the god- which also happens to be the inspiration behind the game, Kingdom Crawlers that he's the best at- on the condition he agrees to be the god's champion, and help him save his world through world domination. This is an offer he can't refuse, and the offer he's been waiting for, since he's bored anyway.

Rushing smoke and confetti suddenly erupted from under the stage to the roof, followed by the lively trademark music of ArtWorld which had previously accompanied their digital advertisement online and on television. 
There was a huge billboard-sized screen near the entrance of ArtWorld showing the video coverage of the stage and often switched to other angles showing the executive seats and the VIPS, as well as the lines of customers waiting outside.
It then flashed various cuts showing the features of ArtWorld, such as massive roller coasters spanning miles of distance, an incredibly huge Ferris Wheel overlooking all horizons, and other various attractions both highly modernized and traditional. There were also many extreme sports attractions like sky diving, bungee jumping, parachuting, and more.
Aside from the actual attractions experiences, there was a part showing their specialized virtual reality hall with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that offered the most realistic experience of various VRMMORPG and mini-games.
There was even a huge screen showing public battle arenas in the virtual space that people outside could see, which would definitely attract e-sports and gaming enthusiasts.
The highlight was a design room with modernized equipment where people could design a virtual world by themselves by simply matching and adding various elements and adjusting a few settings. They could enter inside the virtual world they created with friends. There was even a hall filled with AI robots in various pet-like and futuristic forms that could interact with people. 
The traditional themed areas offer ancient style architecture, historical role plays to create their own small movie, and lots of attractions and rides with Xianxia elements, such as a zip line designed to imitate sword flight and bumper cars designed like heavenly beasts, among others.
People could also wear intricate costumes and props to their satisfaction to look like historical figures. There were tea shops, lion dances, bamboo parks, a small circus, and more.
The western fantasy area was like Alice Wonderland, with many characters from fairytales inside and Disney-style attractions and rides. But it also included magicians, Ragnarok-style games, and even races such as elves, orcs, angels, half-beasts, and others.
There were also many other relaxation venues such as atmospheric restaurants, nature-themed parks and huts, as well as themed hotels that could accommodate customers in their extended period of stay inside ArtWorld.
The extremely vast expanse of ArtWorld was like a small world with multiple realms in different areas, from traditional streets of ancient times and the warlord theme, to western fantasy, and to futuristic themes.
 There were several dressing halls in each area wherein people could wear any costume they fancy to suit the atmosphere they were looking for and make themselves believe that they were indeed part of the realm they were stepping in.
The extravagant and exhilarating video pumped up the adrenaline of the customers and the netizens. They suddenly felt even more excited to enter and experience those attractions inside. 
They all looked at the entrance, wondering when the ribbon cutting would start. They could not wait to enter.
Right then, Xiong Gaiyu, the hostess for the opening ceremony, appeared in the middle of the stage. *(that was temporary set up in front of the huge gate of ArtWorld.)
The crowd fell silent as soon as the person appeared on stage.
At the same time, Xiong Zhi walked to her seat. It was in the middle of the front row, right next to Old Xiong. She sat down and looked up.
Xiong Gaiyu had truly become a beauty as perfect as a fully blooming rose in its best state. With IHZHI's nurturing and further training, she had officially become the queen of the modeling industry. Her every move and every sway of the loose waves of her hair were captivating. She oozed with confidence from head to toe.
Since the queen of modeling industry was the ambassador of IHZHI, this event had gotten even more attention from the entertainment industry. 
The flashes of camera began to rain down.
"Good day, ladies and gentlemen..." Xiong Gaiyu started her role.
She introduced today's event and thanked everyone who attended, especially mentioning the influential figures in the audience of the grand opening. Finally, she called out the creator of ArtWorld—Mr. Bang.
Mr. Bang went up to the stage and told his story. If one looked closely, they would see his eyes reddening.
For Mr. Bang, today's opening ceremony was truly an emotional event.
"…To be honest, I thought I couldn't build ArtWorld. The stakes are too high, the plan is even considered far-fetched by many people, and the experts had said that the chance of success that ArtWorld will be truly brought to reality is almost zero… Aside from those, back then, there was a towering wall that almost pushed my idealistic ArtWorld into empty nothingness.

No one else knew how truly desperate he was back then. ArtWorld was his everything, his obsession. He did not know what would have happened to him had Xiong Zhi not appeared. ArtWorld, his whole life's hard work, would have been tossed aside like a useless rag and forgotten a few years later.

After adjusting some final punctuation with his keyboard, Chen Xiaolian raised his head and massaged his sore temple.

Within a VIP waiting room of an airport, service personnel wearing beautiful uniform were gently pouring coffee for the guests.

This is an airport within a small country’s tourist city, located within Southeast Asia.

Chen Xiaolian stretched his waist and quickly affixed an author’s back section on the chapter that he had just finished. Thinking for a moment, he quickly typed in a line of text: Seeking monthly ticket…[1]

Glancing at the book review section, he could see some readers urging for more while others were cursing: Always not updating the book, but still have the face to ask for monthly ticket, author has a small dick ah…

He quickly exited the back section, switched off his laptop, and stuffed it into his bag. Suddenly getting the urge to urinate, he looked at his phone and saw that it was still early. Chen Xiaolian immediately got up while carrying his bag and proceeded to run towards the toilet.

He casually took an image shared by his circle of friends and made it his own avatar picture: It is the picture of a thirty-year-old fair skinned fatty with a round looking face.

Because of this, his readers and fan base all thought Chen Xiaolian to be an adorable thirty-year-old fatty. Fans who were close to him would affectionately call him “bloody fatty” or “fat uncle”.

Chen Xiaolian splashed a handful of cold water onto his face before roughly wiping at it. He then observed the reflection on the mirror. A noticeably immature looking face that was overly delicate looked back. Chen Xiaolian made a strange expression on his face.

By manhua standards, the face looking back at him through the mirror would no doubt belong to the ‘black bellied, attractive 16 year-old teenager’ classification.[2]

Truth be told, Chen Xiaolian’s age is also not too far from sixteen. He is only eighteen-years-old, a long way to go before being called “uncle”.

After wiping the water off his face, Chen Xiaolian moved his body into a basketball shooting posture and threw the rolled up tissue paper into the wastebasket.

His movements were fairly standard and were the results of him practicing in private. Unfortunately, with his problematic height, he would probably have no chance of being a basketball player.

Chen Xiaolian glanced over it and found that it was really his. It must have fallen off when he was retrieving his tissue papers from his bag.

He hastily said a few words of thanks, but the pilot narrowed his eyes as he glanced over Chen Xiaolian. “Flight XX3307? Interesting…”

What kind of words are those?

Moreover, Chen Xiaolian instinctively felt that the way the other person was looking at him was a little strange.

“I can only say… I wish you good luck.”

Those were the last words said by the pilot. After that, he waved goodbye with his hands and left with his companion in another direction.

How baffling!

Chen Xiaolian stared blankly at the pilots back.

Chen Xiaolian was shocked senseless, however, the other party only smiled and nodded towards him. After that, the pilot turned around and headed into the cockpit.

The flight attendant politely guided Chen Xiaolian towards his seat. The space given to First Class was very wide and he sat down before changing into a pair of slippers. Chen Xiaolian then turned to the flight attendant and requested a glass of beer.

He has a mild discomfort towards flight, also known as motion sickness. By drinking some alcoholic drinks, he hoped to be able to fall asleep after boarding the plane. That would be for the best.

After drinking a mouthful of beer, someone sat down on the passenger seat beside him. He gave the passenger a glance and saw a little loli with a short bob cut hair… neat and clean, with a pair of big, black eyes. She wore a light blue short skirt as she sat on the passenger seat, her pair of white legs dangling freely in the air – Hmm, this act had exposed her height. When she was seated, her legs could no longer reach the ground.

Considering Chen Xiaolian’s age, he was naturally not a lolicon. (That is something exclusive to uncles!)

He was only curious as to why a child at such an age would board a plane alone. In addition, this was an international flight.

Realizing that Chen Xiaolian was looking at her, the little girl made a brief eye contact with Chen Xiaolian. She then nodded politely in a seemingly subconscious manner; however, her attitude remained cold, as though the nod earlier was simply an instinctive etiquette.

Later, she seemed to have received a phone call. She retrieved her phone and spoke into the phone with a childish voice.

“Unnie… Omo… Imnida…”

Chen Xiaolian chuckled to himself: A Korean loli…

Seemingly aware that he was still looking at her, her eyes became colder. When she saw Chen Xiaolian’s teenage face that indicated that he was not that old, but was holding on to a glass of beer… her eyes seemed to show traces of disapproval.

Well, I am now being despised.

Chen Xiaolian chuckled secretly, simply took out his eye blinders, and put it on before going to rest.

Soon, the flight attendants gave another notice and the plane began to slowly move along the runway. After a burst of violent vibrations, the plane rose to the skies…

Two hours later, Chen Xiaolian was woken up by a burst of vibration. Removing the blinders, he looked around in confusion and saw that the warning lamp above his head had been lit on.

The Korean loli sitting beside him was instead very calm, she held onto a glass of orange juice, drinking it mouthful after mouthful, wearing bunny shaped earphones and listening to music.

The flight attendant used a warm and harmonious voice to make an announcement, stating that the plane had probably ran into some turbulent airflow and asked everyone to not enter a state of panic.

It should not have been anything, an airplane running into these kinds of situations were simply far too common.

However, after a few minutes, the frequency of the vibrations from the airplane seemed to be increasing and the extent of the vibration increased. This caused the passengers to gradually become alarmed.

Glancing around, Chen Xiaolian saw that the first class flight attendants had already been seated at their designated seats, their safety belts fastened tight.

Chen Xiaolian could not help himself as he started feeling apprehensive.

Of the two flight attendants of the first class area, the older one who was presumably the chief maintained calm and continued using a harmonious voice to sooth the passengers.

As for the younger flight attendant… when Chen Xiaolian was boarding the plane, he had taken another look at her. She had a pair of very slender legs and her current seating position just happened to be directly opposite Chen Xiaolian.

Chen Xiaolian was able to spot the traces of panic and fear within the flight attendant’s eyes.

The chief attendant remained calm and was using a gentle voice to sooth the passengers, showing that nothing serious was going on.

However, Chen Xiaolian had noticed that the younger flight attendant’s legs were…

Trembling!

That was right! They were trembling!

Holy shit! Even the flight attendants are scared to the point of trembling?!

Then… then something big must have happened!

Chen Xiaolian suddenly became nervous. It was at this moment that a loud bang suddenly sounded out from who knew where!

The aircraft suddenly lost all power and sounds of screams were emitted from the passengers’ compartments.

One could clearly feel that the aircraft was falling down at a rapid rate…

Next, a series of loud noises rang out non-stop. Amidt the terrifying noises, Chen Xiaolian’s face had turned ghastly white, all the strength within his body seemingly sapped away.

The Korean loli beside him began crying out of fear, screaming out in Korean.

As the last of the loud rumbling noises roared out, Chen Xiaolian had one last thought before losing consciousness: I cannot be so unlucky, right? I am only eighteen-years-old! I am still a virgin… I write novels about transmigrations! Am I about to transmigrate?!

Guild Member: Leader, this name, if we are to say it out, I fear we will be beaten up… 

Dr. Molina watched Colonel Riva walk toward his office from his office window. It was his  schedule for his regular session. The final report is waiting on his table and until he closes it  or  affix his signature  the colonel still has to  make this visit like an official  regular activity. Monthly summary of those reports were sometimes sent to the regional committee with the  partial assessment  but none of them have already cleared his mental status. After this session,  Dr. Molina will have to make a long trip again  to personally endorse another one to the committee.

He heard a knock on the door.
"Come in."
It was Colonel Riva.
"How are you Colonel?" Dr. Molina wore his white doctor's gown. He sat on his  desk as he observed the colonel settle on the psych chair in front of him. He took note of Colonel Riva's appearance and his unusual physical mannerism in his progress notes.
"Never been better. Got plenty of sleep last night." The colonel seemed unfazed by the rigor of the examination.
"That's nice to hear."
"Tell me this is going to unearth more secrets from me?"
"Depends on you really."
"I was thinking maybe you can tell me a thing or two why I need more time to do this."
"As much as you help us  in the research to navigate the human psyche you are helping science help you."
"Frankly, I don't know what they see in me that would make things right? "
"Maybe there's nothing wrong really.  And they just want you assessed for the  next  challenge. Whatever that is."
"What would it be?"
"You know the drill. No question. Just follow."
"Right. Yes. Just follow."
The colonel took a sip of the liquid placed in front of him. Then he lied down on the psych chair and began to close his eyes.

Dr. Molina's  initial diagnosis of Colonel Riva was not good  and the final recommendation will not favor the colonel. His mind is somewhat made up - there will be no final report for now and the colonel should stay  much longer so that a more thorough examination of his well being can be conducted. That includes  actions where he had to let go of  his management of his assigned  precinct- entirely in the hands of Jorge Velez. The doctor believed that Colonel Riva is trapped in some sort of psychological dimension,  with a map of another world entirely created inside his own mind, hence, he sees a lot of unreal events that made him incapable of coming up with a valid judgement. 
The doctor readied his video camera and began to document the Colonel's journey into the unknown. The colonel was heavily sedated. Unable to resist the god-like voice he heard in his dream.
"Where are you now Colonel?" Dr. Molina asked.
"Here in a dark place, just like what everyone told me here to get ready. I am ready."
"For what?"
"To run…"
"Why would you need to do so?"
"I have to... the light already cast a shadow."
The doctor wrote the words `run"  and "light" in his notes. The video camera recorded how the colonel writhe in his position as if he was up to some form of physical maneuver.
"What is it about the light that cast a shadow,  Colonel?"
"A way."
"I am confused."

"I, myself, have no idea how light and shadow works. But it's there"
"I am still clueless. How?"
"The way is like a door."
"Uhm…. door to what?"
"Wait.  I'm waiting for the edge of the shadow to emerge. There it is. I'm seeing it. Run. Quick!  I  am going to jump now. Aaah!"
Colonel Riva shouted as if he was falling. Indeed in his point of view he fell on top of a building and he floated like a feather in the air.

"Where does the door  lead you colonel?"  The colonel laughed in his sleep.
"Another world. If you run towards…. the shadow's edge. Fast. You will enter another world."
" What world? "
The colonel smirked in his sleep.
"Beyond the shadow's edge is a world. Few knows what lies in the beyond. It's  not an entirely  different world out there,  see."
Dr. Molina pushed himself back on his chair. He read it in some experiment report a long time ago about some select service men  having the same kind of result he is having with the colonel but he cannot pinpoint where he accessed them.
Is  Colonel Riva a part of this top secret experiment  by the government and that he is unknowingly extracting vital information?
He is ready to pronounce that everything happening is but a discourse on insanity. But something does not add up. He may be confused by the colonel's revelation but nonetheless what he heard disturbed him
"I am calling quits. When I clap my hands you  will open your eyes,  colonel. "
"Uhmm," the colonel grimaced in his deep state.
"I am counting three, two and one!"  A big clap pulled Colonel Riva out of his sleep. He snapped back quickly but he felt groggy.
"My head hurt. Uh...was it interesting?" the colonel asked.
"Tops," the doctor replied.

While his mind is mixed up with conspiracies, the doctor at once cleared up his mind that the dream by the colonel has none that can be described as real. Dr. Molina then left his medical paper unsigned.

The next day Dr. Molina reported his  findings to the police committee in charge of Police  Mental Health  that has jurisdiction on the case of Colonel Riva.  He traveled 50 miles just to make the necessary representation and while it is paid for and covered by committee stipend sent to him,  it was a sacrifice of his personal time.
Seated in front of him were five aging police officers waiting for their retirement as they read through the reports he regularly submitted on a monthly basis.
"You are Dr. Molina?"
"Yes, major. I am the doctor assigned to  the patient Lancelot Riva"
"You reported that he has a possible 'flight of fantasy' and 'delusion of grandeur'. Can you tell the committee what it's all about?"
"For the background, Colonel Riva had been my patient for the last year and he completed 15 sessions with me. He is physically fit  and can function normally during work and casual conversation." The committee cut him.
"I will repeat. What again is delusion of grandeur?"
Dr. Molina cleared his throat.
"It is a belief by someone that they are someone else or having in possession of certain power."
"And  Colonel Riva is acting as what to be exact?"
"That is what I am still trying to deduce and discover... "
His response elicited laughter from the committee.
"What exactly did you find in him that he is having delusion then?"
"He said to have been in a different world...."
"Are you doing psycho-analysis of the patient?"
"Yes, major."
"To clarify, what exactly in his dream state did he describe as another world?"
"He mentioned running in some light towards the shadow's edge which he claimed maybe a portal to another world."
The committee members buzzed. It woke the rest up from their stupor.
" But none of those is verifiable," Dr. Molina continued.
"Are you saying your patient is in a game like world with role playing activity? Is he into video games?"
The doctor cannot answer in the affirmative. The committee took his silence as an answer. The committee members again buzzed together.
"Have you asked the colonel if he is into one? Like Elder Scroll?  And what other games do people play these days?"
"Final Fantasy?" Said one of the white haired members wearing round spectacle.
"Yes, Final Fantasy."
Again the doctor cannot find the courage to make a reply. The committee members became impatient.
" If your findings on the Colonel doesn't affect any of his work, then why would the committee find him unfit for anything?"
"Yes, major. I understand." The doctor agreed. It was to be expected as he intentionally dressed down his report so he could analyze the colonel further.
"Go on and finish your psycho analytical evaluation. This is long going and for now we cannot find him at fault for any that can affect his function. Not unless you say in these medical reports that he is insane and can no longer think wisely. But for now, there's more doctors outside that will report for a far graver psychiatric breakdown that we are going to hear. Dismiss!"
Doctor Molina stood up from his chair.
"Thank you, majors."

On his way to his office Dr. Molina received a text message on his cellphone from his secretary.
"Urgent  Notice! All files related to Colonel Riva were confiscated by the higher ups. Computer drives, recordings, medical records, among others. Come down quick!"

Forensic  Jorge Velez is on the heels of a series of  murders but the  events unfolding may have already happened. His team found intertwined events, unusual evidences, strange disappearances, time lapses, and  feeling of 'deja vu'. In order for them to truly find out what is happening they literally  need to run  towards the  shadow's edge and fell 150 meters below.

Did he just walk inside a top secret military program? Where is Dr. Molina? What is his purpose in inviting him?

The electric noise was literally raising all the hair on his arms. There were sudden huge sparks that could literally fry and it randomly  hit the floor and the tall ceiling above. What is this place? There is something massive going on and he needed to understand what this is all about.

"Impressed?" A man behind him asked. It was Dr. Molina. He removed his goggles and grabbed Jorge's arms.

"I could see you are in a confused state. Come inside the briefing room."

Confused is an underestimation. Jorge was literally in a state of shock.

Inside the briefing room, Jorge's hand was trembling as he drank a glass of water together with his medication. He needed something to calm himself down. The voices he heard in his radio, the message from Colonel Riva, and this massive thing in front of him is just too much to process in the blink of an eye. He needed to slow down.

"What's going on?" Jorge's asked as Dr. Molina pore over the result of many of his experiments.

"What you see is what you get Jorge. It's the real deal. A time machine."

Jorge felt his breathing stopped. He heard it loud and clear. A  T-I-M-E machine.

[ Sub Mission: Head to L.A. California.]
Agonist wearily issued Daemon a mission for the tenth time in the span of 12 hours.
[ Reject.] 
Daemon rejects the mission without even blinking. 
" Oh come on, how do you expect to complete the main mission if you aren't even near the target?!" 
Agonist felt like pulling its hair in frustration, but unfortunately it had no hair. 
They needed to be near the protagonist, Ray, to complete the mission and get their rewards! The system was especially looking forward to energy earned from an S-rank universe. 
" Shoo." Daemon waves hand as if to dismiss a servant. " I told you not to bother me until the target finishes school. I can't work with a kid that didn't even finish his education." 
Daemon spoke seriously, though his eyes and hands where busy killing zombies on the T.V. screen. He found entertainment in the video games this earth had. After being a dragon in a western fantasy medieval setting, where the technology was backwards, he finally found something amusing other than messing with ( and occasional- accidentally killing) his targets. 
" That... somehow is convincing..." Agonist spins upside down, persuaded by Daemons reasoning that had ethically stumped its enthusiasm. 
It was a good system with morals. It couldn't make an adolescent with a bright future bear Daemon's madness. 
The system kept brooding, as boredom seeped from its aura. It's been watching Daemon play around for days now. 
Agonist suddenly screeched to halt, before zooming in front of Daemon. 
" No wait, Ray isn't a child! He's a transmigrator! 37 years in his first life, and 19 so far in this one, His soul is 56 years old!" 
" So? It's not like I can do anything at this stage. He needs to at least be a toddler, not an infant, for me to help him." Daemon snorts as he pushes the system away from his view of the bloody zombie that he just shot. 
" Fine! We leave leave as soon as he finishes his academy!" 
" Fine! Now move out the way!"

5 Months Later

' We're late! You lying son of a cabbage! You should thank god that he's still level 19!'
Agonist curses Daemon as they made their way out  the hotel Daemon had set up camp in for the past couple months. 
' Your first encounter made you seem like the lunatic that you are! Then you refused to enter the academy as his classmate and you refused to become a cop to be his coworker! There's nothing to connect you two now, how on earth can we now approach him and gain his trust?!'
Daemon turns a deaf ear to Agonists ranting in his mind as he pays the taxi driver and gets down at the airports entrance. 
' Hjjfdyijv yikbdsyi- I prepared your documents, they're in your pocket, damn it! And I told you before- hjkkufdhj giiknvxsrhj csrjbbch!...'
Daemon listened to the important parts then zoned out the rest of the systems lengthy speech. 
Daemon smiled charmingly to the receptionist checking his passport. He then headed to the lobby to wait for his flight. His system had to save its energy, so he couldn't teleport to Los Angeles.
Daemon settled down on one of the many plastic chairs. He waited for Agonist to finish before whipping out his phone, and putting it close to his ear. 
" Agonist, did you calm down now?" He spoke out loud instead of mentally, pretending to be on a phone call. It's not like anyone would understand the context of his words, anyway. For fun, he even mimicked a Russian accent. 
' No I haven't and I won't until you properly follow through this mission.' The system grumps. 
" I'm on my way so stop worrying, it's not like he'll get him self killed at this time." 
' At this point I'm worried you will be the one to kill him!' 
" What? Why would I kill him?" Daemon quirks an eyebrow up. He picks up a random magazine and kicks his feet up the coffee table. 
' So that you could go back to your beer and video games!' ╭∩╮(ಠ_ಠ)╭∩╮ 
Daemon paused for moment, actually contemplating whether to do that or not. 
He shook his head, brushing the idea off. If he killed Ray, Daemon would be instantly kicked out of this world. He wanted to stay as long as possible to enjoy what modern society has to offer for amusement. 
"As long as he doesn't get on my nerves I can guarantee his safety."
(If he does get on my nerves, I'll find a way to kill him indirectly. That way I can stay on this earth for as long as I want even after his death.) Daemon shrugs, leaving Agonist unaware of his inner thoughts. 
' He probably won't. He's similar to you, just without the craziness and madness.'
" Cool. Now go relax before we have to get to work." Translation: shut up now and leave me alone. 
Agonist scoffs before entering its own personal dimension for a break.
Daemon puts his phone down and continues to skim through the magazine. 
" Um, are you a part of the mafia, mister?" A timid voice, full of curiosity rung out near Daemon. 
Daemon looks up to find a child staring at him with wide brown doe like eyes. 

Overpowered MC, Daemon. 
And a leveling up MC, Ray. 
There are two MCs, both transmigrate into the marvel universe.
Daemons personality is all over the place, playful yet intense, short tempered yet in control. He has not a strand of conscience nor kindness in his bones. 
Ray, in comparison to Daemon is a Ray of sunshine. However that warmth could be a mask at times. He’s usually stoic and cool headed. He’s not indiscriminately cruel like Daemon, but if he needs to, then yes he can kill.
