hey guys I'm a new writer and new to this app so constructive criticism and any type of advice is appreciated to no bounds

Somewhere in Tokyo, Japan

An 18-year old guy was sitting on a couch, comfortably watching his TV. The TV was playing some anime that the man watched in full concentration. It showed a pink-haired guy with weird antenna-like hair clips.

After the TV started playing the ending, the man turned it off using the remote. He sighed and just lay down on the couch. "This is the end of another good anime. I wish they could make a sequel to this series, but the manga already ended. Sigh… Good things never last long."

He sighed again and took out his phone. It was the Chumsung Note 8. He bought it after working many part-time jobs. Mobile phones were getting more and more expensive every year. It was the best phone at the time he bought it, but it wasn't anything special currently. The best phone on the market would be the Chumsung Note 11 and the Banana 12.

He unlocked his phone using his fingerprint and opened the 'webnovel' app. He touched the search option and a virtual keyboard appeared on the screen. He started typing 'Saiki' in the search bar and started the search. When the search was over, he went over to the fanfictions area by touching the 'Fan-Fic' area on the screen.

It only displayed a single item, 'DC World Reborn'. He was irate at seeing this. 

"Who the f*ck wants to read 'DC' fanfiction? I want to read 'The disastrous life of Saiki K' fanfiction!" The man bellowed, angrily throwing away his phone. It soared rather pathetically toward the other end of the couch since he wasn't rich enough to buy another phone.

"Sigh… What a boring life. It's winter vacation and I have nothing to do, other than watching anime. Sometimes I wish I could get sent to an anime world like those fanfiction protagonists. Like that'll ever happen though." The guy mumbled while sporting a wry smile. He closed his eyes and started to relax.

When he was about to drift into sleep, his phone emitted a loud notification sound, waking him up. He approached his phone, held it in his palm, and unlocked it. There was a new email notification, but the thing that caught his attention was the subject. 'Are you bored with your life? Then download this app now!'.

"Is this a scam? Who the f*ck would send an email like this?" The man murmured, trying to exit the Gmail app, but he suddenly started to hesitate. He'd read a lot of fanfictions that started almost just like this, where a guy answers a spam email and gets sent to some fictional world. He shook his head after thinking of such a ridiculous thing.

"Well, it never hurts to just check it out. Maybe I'll really get sent into an anime world haha…" The guy laughed with a sarcastic but slightly hopeful tone. He opened the email and read it. It seemed to be an app invitation. He clicked the link and downloaded the .apk file. The download site was weird, filled with unrecognizable characters in the link.

"This site is weird. What the heck are those characters? Are they Russian or Chinese?" The guy pondered, but he didn't keep mulling over this and just opened the .apk file. He pressed 'Allow' for the 'Installation from Unknown Source' pop-up, and touched the install icon. The application's name was 'Fiction Connect'.

After a few seconds, the app successfully installed and automatically opened up. A prompt suddenly appeared on the screen, posing a question.

"This app will let you connect to a fictional world. Do you want to continue?"

The app displayed a 'Yes/No' answer box. He didn't think much and just pressed the 'Yes' icon.

Afterward, another prompt appeared, with a different question and the same answer box. It was a lengthy 'Terms and Conditions' pop-up, one that every application is required to show before allowing the user to access it. He didn't care much and just scrolled all the way down, pressing the 'Yes' icon.

Then another prompt appeared, asking yet another question. It looked just like those shitty surveys you had to do whenever you want to download some game hacks/cheats.

"If you are given a chance to start over as an anime character, which character would you choose?"

"I hope this app is at least somewhat useful. I don't want to exit it after downloading it." The guy mumbled. He started thinking about all the anime characters he would like to be. He remembered many cool characters, like an emotionless and overpowered 'Onii-san', a bored overpowered blonde-haired guy wearing headphones, a bald-headed overpowered hero for fun, and an overpowered pink-haired high schooler with weird antennas on the head.

After some thought, he ultimately decided on Saiki. It wasn't due to any specific reason. He'd already read a lot of fanfictions about people getting reincarnated as those people, but he hasn't read a single one with Saiki in it. He wanted to choose something different than all the other otaku fanfiction protagonists.

So he proceeded to type in 'Saiki Kusuo', and pressed 'Enter'. The app opened up another prompt, with yet another question, causing the man to feel quite irritated.

"Do you want to proceed with your new life? Please do note that the world you end up in won't be the same one you remember."

"Just get this over with already." The guy almost shouted in annoyance, smashing his thumb on the 'Yes' icon. Then, all of a sudden, he blacked out. 

The last thing he remembered before falling unconscious was the app showing some kind of congratulation message.

"Congratulations! Your request has been reviewed and accepted. Please enjoy your new life! Your current life will end in approximately 10 seconds." The app displayed those words on the screen, but the man was unable to see them since he had been knocked unconscious. It then showed a countdown.

The phone suddenly exploded, spreading out flames in all directions. Soon, the entire house caught fire and started burning rapidly. The neighbors were quick to notice it and call the firefighters, but they were too late. The man had already died, buried under the scorched rubble.

The email was titled 'Are you bored with your life?'. This got his attention and he installed the app and filled the surveys inside it.

What the actual fuck?
I've literally been awake less than fifteen seconds and already my mood has turned to shit. For one, I freaking woke up to rain drops splattering against my face. Thankfully it was only a few drops, but what the hell?
Secondly, where the hell am I?
Taking a look around myself all I can see is a massively long dirt road littered with small puddles here and there, well that alongside a wide expansive of grassy terrain and a shit ton of trees.
"How much did I fucking drink last night?" I wondered out loud.
Last I could remember, I was at a bar, downing some mean shots, chugging down tequila and hitting on this girl with the most insane ass I'd seen up close and personal in a while. I'm pretty sure I was getting somewhere with the chick too, she got a good laugh out of it when I claimed if I bounced a fifty pence piece off her ass it'd hit the moon. Without problem.
To be up front about it, I sucked at flirting and sweet talk. But I'd learned how to present myself as a funny guy a while ago, so while most shit I said could sometimes be taken as blatant sexual come ons….they kinda worked for me half the time. I have no idea why, I think it's just the confidence I presented while throwing it out there.
It ain't my god damn looks for sure. I'm at best above average looking with a nice dress sense, a five out of ten if there ever was one. Maybe a six if I'm pushing it.
Speaking of looks though, what the fuck happened to mine? I looked down and grimaced, how the hell did I get so short?
...Well, shorter. I've always been short as fuck, barely topping five-six by time I hit my twenties and that was while wearing boots.
Weirdly enough, I'm still wearing what I remember wearing to the club, only in miniature. An expensive pair of black timber land boots, my favourite pair of jeans that fasten at the bottom like tracksuit bottoms and have a stretchable waist that ties again like tracksuit bottoms, a sleeveless white hoodie top and over that my favourite jacket a kind of almost leather white jacket with a warm grey undercoat fastened inside, double the zip up baby.
All in these cost me a pretty penny, especially since I'm certain I'm still wearing my black Egyptian silk boxers.

Still no idea where the hell I am though.
Rifling through my pockets, I come to find I've got good and bad luck. Can't find my wallet. Whelp, there goes a good few hundred quid. I did find my phone though.
I had to arc an eyebrow though when I saw it. For one, mine is a decently old phone, bought it over a year ago. A nice looking, easy to use HTC. Not a blemish on it, in fact it looks brand spanking new. A pleasant surprise considering I was playing Fate/Grand Order a few months back while taking a crap and dropped it, cracking the screen.
Am I fucking hallucinating again? I learned the hard way binge reading fanfiction is bad for you. I binged like two million words at once without sleeping once, I ended up going freaking loopy. Cut myself pretty badly and while my family were freaking out I was all for waving it off being like, 'Don't worry, Kurama will heal that up for me in to time.'
Yeah, reality and fanfiction kinda got blurred for me for a few days there until I got some proper rest. The blood loss probably didn't help.
But as far as I remember, I've not binge read any fanfiction in a while. How could I? There's hardly anything even worth reading nowadays.
Fuck, it whatever. I shook my head and powered up my phone. Time to check where the fuck I am.
"What the fuck?" I said to myself, eyes narrowing as soon as I caught look at my base screen.
There were only two apps there. Last I checked, there were a fuck ton. The Map was there, and one named Pokedex. When the fuck did I download a pokedex app? I didn't even know there was one. Even my freaking music folder and player were gone.
I'm starting to get a bad feeling here.
Licking my lips, nerves suddenly pooling in my stomach I tapped on the map app and brought it up. And then I literally almost dropped it in shock. I say almost, because there was no way I was cracking the shit out of my phone a second time.
I couldn't believe my eyes, I even felt a little faint right then and there.
Because there was the little blue indicator for where I was, right in the middle of a massive road labelled as Route 1. Far behind me, there was a town labelled Pallet Town and a good twenty minutes ahead of me there was another, named Viridian City.
"What the fuck!" I shouted.
Quickly closing down my map, I opened up the interior folder and to my relief the camera function was still there. Quickly firing it up, I pointed the lens side at me and took a quick selfie.
"Nooooo." I moaned in disbelief as soon as I saw the picture.
Because I wasn't looking at my adult self, I was looking at myself around twelve.
How did I know that?
For one, my usually dirty blonde hair was darker, a brown almost black. For another, were the blonde highlights running through it. To be fair, I'd started doing that at twelve and kept doing it right up till I was twenty. My face was a lot thinner than I remember, blue eyes much brighter. But what really cinched it was the diamond stud in my left ear. I got it for my 12th birthday and lost it not long later.
Oh and there was a backpack on my shoulder too it seemed.
Stowing my phone in my pocket I swung the bag off of my shoulders and knelt above it on the ground. It felt light, but hopefully there would be something I could use, preferably my wallet. But when I opened it and looked inside, all I could do was gape as I looked at a small group of shiny red and white pokeballs sitting innocently alone inside.
"You've got to be fucking with me!" I growled, standing up with one of the obviously fake pokeballs in hand and giving a particularly large stone on the ground a harsh kick that sent it soaring off into the grassy distance.
Five of them in total.

I could write books, and read books, and talk to people about books. And I could socialize while doing it! I loved it. I started reading a Naruto fanfiction called Reborn. It was really cool. I followed the person who wrote it, aaliswalker, and asked her to read my book, Powerless: a Boruto Fanfiction (which is also my book from wattpad. please check it out) and give me some feedback. Later that day, I got a message from her saying that my book was a little too fast-paced but other than that it was good (^-^). And so started a relationship like never before.
