Mrs. Groscow observed her seventeen year old daughter as she walked down the stairs a visible scowl on her lips. Her tongue flicked through her teeth and the wine glass was swooshing dangerously on her fingers.

Jeans booty shorts and of course a purple tank top. Mia stopped at the end of the stair and crosses her arms.

"So you've resorted to flaunting? I see you gave up on your face." The first thing she uttered to her, kicking up her left leg across the right one.

Mia rolled her eyes and shifted her weight to her right foot.

"You're too fat for those shorts."Her mom points out blankly taking another sip of her drink. " You got a lot of mirrors to check that out for yourself, don't you?"

"I know. And that is why apps were created." She whispered but her mom caught  it, a small smile tugging at the end of her lips. The older woman's brow creaked app and she mused at her words.

"Why didn't you go to school today?" She chose to change the subject leaning back on the couch.

"My face." Mia obviously stated. She had vowed not to ever apply make up... Although she wanted to; apply concealer on her zits, mascara, a little lipstick perhaps.

'Oh my goodness Mia!You look like an undercooked turkey!' Her mother's words.

"I don't give a hoot miss! You have to go to school whether you look ugly, or uglier."

Luke Groscow got in at this moment. A male servant took his coat, briefcase and car keys. According to Annah, no female hand shall lay her hand on her man.

She was right to be protective, after all Luke was a male model, a really good looking male model younger than Annah by three years.

"Hey honey." He greeted his wife and made for the little drink area. "Hello Mia."He voiced to her daughter lifting the drink to her in some sort of a toss. She gave him a small smile.

He then walked back across the room and slumped down the comfy white couch. Pure fur.

"Your daughter missed school, again!" Annah started going back to the random act of flicking her tongue inside her mouth.

"Why?"

"Puberty. Look at her ugly face."

"Annah!" Luke raised his voice a little. He nervously watched Mia at the corner of his eye.

An uncomfortable silence enveloped them for about a minute.

"What's wrong with that? She's bright." Luke said in a monotone. A little low this time.

"That doesn't mean she can miss school, Luke."

"I need a shower." Luke announced downing his drink.

He walked to Mia and cupped her cheek. "You'll be fine. At least now everyone will want to look at your pretty face."

Mia smiled. Her dad always gave her hope. Always made sure she was smiling.

Yet her mom was the complete opposite. She is the one who got her a full make up set... Indirectly telling her you're ugly, yet she's still the one who hated the same make up on her.

"Just give me a minute and we'll go get that mirror, okay?"

Mia nodded. Yester night she was so mad she punched her bathroom mirror six times, getting hurt in the process.

Because she let her mother's words get to her.

They drove out of their expansive house onto a private road for five minutes before joining the main road.

Mia looked outside the window as they passed the mall. She didn't want to get her mirror from the mall because most of her schoolmates hang out there... and she wouldn't be seen dead with her pimply face.

They were going to an old shop downtown belonging to an old black man. She found the place after getting lostin the area. Of course she had to glance around before asking for directions.

"Here we are." Her dad announced stopping the car.

"I'll go alone." Mia quickly stopped her dad from unbuckling his seat belt.

She didn't want him to see her posing in front of mirrors, possibly giving herself a complimenting speech and other self embarrassing acts. "Just wait here. I will try not to take long."

"Well, okay..."

The door chimed on opening and the shop was visibly empty. No shopper appeared to be present apart from her.

"Hello?"She called looking around. The reception area was also empty. She decided to walk around the isles, admiring the fancy, plain and artistic mirrors.

"Hello?"She called out again. Last time he was here. The man was odd and always zoned out in his speech and it spooled her a little but he was no threat.

"Careful young girl, your voice might break the mirrors!" Mia whipped around immediately a little startled. The old man closed the door, made of a mirror that it actually looked like he was coming out of it.

He had the same old tired but warm smile on his face.

"Good evening Mr.William you do remember me?"

"Well of course!" He laughed and walked to her to shake her hand. "You're the crazy one, right?" His hands were rough and crusty and he possessed a firm grip. He released her hand finally and walked behind the counter.

Entirely reflective.

"What can I interest you with miss Groscow?" She was a little amazed that he remembered her awkward second name. Nevertheless, she spoke up.

"I need a bathroom mirror."

"Just that? Oh we have a lot... Framed perhaps? Slitted?"

"I need your most clearest mirror."

"Clearest?"

"Yes clearest, doesn't matter really, it'll still work."

"Well,all my mirrors are clear as you see, but you do want the clearest?"

"Yes."

"Okay then." The sir walked from the counter and walked to the door he had come out earlier.

"Come on, you have to pick for yourself... I have two of them, nobody really seemed interested in having the clearest mirror so they stay up back.

Mia nodded. She half trusted the man enough to set her teaser at 60V, not too much to kill him or paralyse him.

The back of the store was like a workshop. Wood and mirrors, noise from the glass cuter worked by a man and a set of boys preparing a frame.

"Here we are." Mr.William announced walking past the two boys.

He opened a closet and called one of the boys to help him take them out. Mr.William stood them on the width side leaning on the wall.

They were clear, more than Mia ever imagined. The surface seemed like a calm river, promising a ripple if the surface was gently poked.

But one had a slight crack on the left corner, and given the angle of a perfectionist by her mother, she picked the other one.

It was framed with dark brown wood and carved into a beautiful pattern. It looked ancient,and she fell in love with it. She took one last look of herself and smiled.

She turned and waited for Mr.William to finish showing the boys how to smoothen the edges.

"Which one will it be?" Mr.William asked still helping his boys out.

"The framed one."

"You got it, give me a minute."

Mia wanted to turn and look at it once more. Her reflection on it was beyond perfect, it was beautiful. It gave her a sense mysterious sense of security. She opted to look around the place, placing her hand over her lips.

If only she would turn then maybe she would change her mind, because her image was still smiling.

Beauty can be overwhelming sometimes. Mia punishes herself for being what the society calls 'ugly' striving to create a picture perfect image. She builds up an odd obsession to mirrors.

But no matter the clearest mirror she'll get, she's still the same old face. This time however, the mirror is not only the clearest, it's the scariest... She ends up being thrown into a world belonging to the dark forces, and she has no choice but to choose survival, that is until she is able to escape and claim her old life and stolen identity back.

Charming Luscious, a demon in training has other plans and so does a few who come to learn of a mortal in their world.

"You know, your sister isn't half bad," Leo commented. 
He knew he'd pay for that comment as soon as he said it, and he was right. Morgana had mastered the art of elbow jabs. The latest of her attacks caused Leo to double over in pain. 
"No need to get violent," he coughed. "I was just saying that she isn't like Maleagant." 
"No, she's worse," Morgana snapped. "She'll lull you into a false sense of security before she drops the hammer down on you…"
Morgana wrapped her arms over her chest while she glowered at Leo.
"At least with Maleagant, you knew where you stood, but Morrigan has three sides. Wait until you meet them all before you tell me how awesome she is," she grumbled. 
Leo sighed. "Never said she was awesome…"
"What was that?" Morgana raised an eyebrow at him. 
"Nothing," Leo sighed more heavily this time. "Women…" 
"Quiet on the set, please!" Shannon yelled. 
She was standing in front of the main Evil Eye pedestal — a pedestal that housed only the Eyeball of an Evil Eye whose wings had been clipped off — with a clapperboard in hand. Behind her was the stage Bronte's crew had set up for the broadcast. 
Much like a newscaster's setup, the stage had a stone table that was long enough to accommodate more than one individual. Behind this table was a backdrop of stars and floating mirrors that the commentators would use for recaps and highlight reels — two concepts Leo spent more than an hour explaining to his broadcasting team the day before the event's launch. 
"So not like the videos we release online?" Agatha had asked. 
"No, similar but slightly different in variety and execution," Leo explained. "We'll have top ten hits and the worst snafus of the day… Stuff like that." 
"What is… snafu?" one of the goblins in the broadcasting team had asked, making Leo want to face-slap himself. 
Luckily, Agatha was quick on the uptake. Over the next twenty-four hours in Abyss time, she'd captured the kinds of moments Leo was looking for. 
"Places, everyone!" Shannon yelled, sending Leo's thoughts back into the now. "We're going live in five… four… three… two…" 
She raised a finger up. Then dropped it down to signal the live broadcast had begun. 
Leo was worried about doing live broadcasts because so many things could go wrong. It was why he insisted all streaming content be approved by him and Morgana first before they were released. However, he also knew that the best way to promote competitive gaming was to do it live — while the hype factor was at its peak — and e-sports was the next step in the evolution of the Abyss. 
He could only hope their choice of anchors were up to snuff. 
The Abyss logo flashed on the floating mirrors behind the news desk. Then the main Evil Eye panned over to the two commentators for today's big event. 
"Welcome one and all to the first-ever broadcast of the Abyssal Time," said the pretty maenad in her white priestess gown. "I'm Donatella—"
"—and I'm Max!" Max, Donatella's new partner chimed in. "Short for Maximum Punishment!" 
Max pulled out the two single-barrel rifles from underneath the desk and then raised them high. He fired off two shots that caused the set to rumble all while laughing his socks off.
Leo could already imagine the audience's reaction to Max's first official appearance. 
He wondered if they would think of him as CGI, animatronics, a puppet, or an actual sinister-looking talking rabbit. Perhaps a few would even see him for the imp he was. 
The focus groups had agreed on one thing though, everyone would love Max. He was just wild enough that adults would find him cool while simultaneously having Pikachu-level cuteness for kids to adore him. 
Yep, Max, not Morgana or any of the other weirdoes in Leo's team was now the face of the Abyss. He was the official Abyss mascot, although Leo would never say that to him out loud. He didn't fancy getting used for target practice afterward. 
"Pew-pew!" Max yelled the line Agatha insisted he keeps yelling throughout the broadcast which her team — and focus groups — hoped would become his catchphrase. 
At the very least, it did look like Max was having fun onscreen, giving his partner, Donatella, the unenviable task of reining him in so they could actually get past introductions and into the meat of things. 
The first segment of the broadcast was a tally of teams who'd managed to reach the tower, which Donatella pointed out, "It's a very dismal showing so far as only four covens have arrived at the tower's doors and two of them are allied together."
"What happened to all the other idiots?" Max asked her. 
Leo chuckled at hearing the word — idiot. This was going to be a pretty unfiltered broadcast. 
"Waylaid and defeated along the mountain path by your new favorite team, the Terror Ten," Donatella explained. "A total of thirteen covens defeated." 
"Damn!" Max laughed. "They murdered those fools!" 
Max definitely provided entertainment value but Donatella was the brains of the operation. She excellently steered the conversation wherever Agatha needed it to go. 
"Max," Donatella began. "What did you think of the two teams who fought against the Raven Queen's dawn form?" 
This started a lengthy discussion on the two matches where Max praised Jaybird for his 'Big cohones!" and ridiculed Don Coyote for being a "Pathetic poser who didn't have big enough cohones!" There was a lot of "She murdered them!" mixed into this conversation too. 
For her part, Donatella managed to turn Max's mostly incoherent banter into something Leo thought the audience would understand. Basically, she filled in the blanks for him. 
"I do believe it was detestable of Don Coyote to attempt to run away while most of his team were being slaughtered," she agreed. "That man has no equal in his despicableness."
On the floating mirrors, they showed snippets of Morrigan's second battle, ending with Don Coyote trying to escape through the front doors. Unfortunately, he wasn't aware they'd been locked with Morrigan's magic. 
"I bet the onlookers loved him though," Max countered. "There's just something fun about watching a villain struggle… and then get stepped on by a giant raven. Ya-ha!" 
As the show went on, Leo received a report from Dani regarding one of their side projects. Apparently, the Max dolls they'd put up at the Abyss Auction House was nearly sold out. Other Max memorabilia such as t-shirts, baseball caps, Max pillows, and other mortal world items featuring the imp were also selling pretty well. 
In his mind's eye, Leo imagined little girls and boys hugging a Max doll while they slept in bed. The thought of the imp's likeness sleeping beside kids made his whole body shudder. 
"If only they knew," he whispered to himself. "Effing creepy… the stuff of nightmares…" 
Another weird development in the auction house was how the full-body Donatella pillows had also sold out, and Leo could only imagine what all those male buyers would use that pillow for. 
"It's official," Morgana said after she'd read the report Leo passed her. "Max is our biggest success of the day."
"I wouldn't count Ath3na's team out yet," Leo chuckled.
"Ath3na's team is lost on the second floor," Morgana reminded him. "That annoying Sin of Lust… I knew Morrigan couldn't be trusted to keep those demons imprisoned…"
The next segment of the Abyssal Time was dedicated to following Ath3na around as she went looking for her teammates. Weirdly enough, scenes depicting player temptations were censored out. 
"This isn't us, right?" Leo asked Agatha. 
"No," Agatha agreed. "Someone's tampering with the Evil Eye…" 
"That would be Morrigan's doing," Morgana grumbled. "She's just showing off…" 
Leo was torn between being thankful that nothing R-18 showed up on the screens and not being to see these R-18 images on the screen. At the very least, he wanted to know what tickled Ath3na's or Lyghtning's fancy. And by the way Max was cursing, Leo guessed that the imp agreed with him. 
"What the f*ck is up with this PG-13 b*llsh*t!" he grumbled. "Show us some skin already!" 
Eventually, the battle between Argonaut and his teammates appeared on screen, and it was at this point when Leo signaled Donatella to check out audience sentiments online. 
She and Max read out comments like, "Black Howler got pwnd!" and, "Lyghtning forever!" as well as, "I got to get me a Tenebrea!" 
Mostly, the comments discussed how amazing Tenebrea was and how OP it seemed in Argonaut's hands. This prompted Donatella to explain a few things. 
"In the right hands, Tenebrea is indeed a powerful tool, but make no mistake, the power it is displaying now is not due to Argonaut, but the creature that has stolen his heart, the Sin of Lust," Donatella explained. "No mortal could wield such devastating dark magic without aid." 
"Yup, she's definitely tooting his horn," Max chuckled. 
A comment came up about no one else managing to get Maleagant to drop Tenebrea in the DW raid. This was repeated enough times that Leo messaged Donatella to say exactly what he wrote down. 
"This just in from the Game Master," she pointed out. "Tenebrea is a special item that will play an important role later on. For now, only one is available. If you want it then go and claim it!" 
"You just put a giant target on Argonaut's back," Morgana chided. 
"Yup," Leo chuckled. "He can take it… and Ath3na won't let her team member get mugged. And her problem will draw Black Howler and Lyghtning in to help… it'll be a big thing." 
"You're already setting up the next event, aren't you?" Morgana guessed. 
"Uhuh," Leo nodded. "What do you think of this title… Guild Wars?"
"Hmm," Morgana mused. "Too on the nose." 
"I'll workshop it," Leo chuckled. 
The sound of Max and Donatella excitedly telling the crowd that Ath3na's team had finally moved on to the third floor caught Leo's interest. 
He watched on the screen as Ath3na's team looked on with dumbfounded expressions as a snoring giant was sleeping in their path. 
"Looks like the Sin of Sloth is up next!" Donatella announced. 
"Ya-ha!" Max laughed. "Say, Donatella, want to bet on whether or not they survive it?"

A stream of light penetrated a darkened room revealing a solitary figure seated on a comfortable couch with royal blue cushions and fancy wooden carvings painted gold. 
No, she was mistaken. 
It was a long chaise large enough that two people could lay together in there. 
Blue velvet pillows were scattered on the cushions and on the floor. 
Luna's scrutiny could make out Princess Ourania's movements as she held something in her hand. 
It was a mirror chiseled with silver and adorned with precious gemstones. 
She swore Princess Ourania was speaking to someone. 
But she wasn't certain if Apollyon's mother was talking to her reflection or… was she talking to another person in the room to whom Luna couldn't see?
Squinting at her form, Luna's sensitive ears couldn't pick up any words in the conversation—not even a mumble.
 She pressed her ear on the keyhole, hearing nothing.
There must be a dark void sucking out any kinds of sound in this room to avoid confidential information from being spread through gossip. 
Princess Ourania's scandals might have stirred the curiosity of the general public so she did this as a precaution.  
This must explain the complete utter silence in this hall compared to the previous ones Apollyon and Luna have explored. 
Apollyon's mother must be hiding something important.  
As her vampire eyes adjusted to the shadows, the warm air in the atmosphere on that floor turned to ice , sending goosebumps along the expanse of her skin. 
A cold hand lightly caressed her neck, shooting off tiny electric sparks from his fingertips that she hunched her shoulders and shivered. 
Turning her head slightly to the right, Luna checked if it was her husband playing tricks on her while she was bent over the mysterious keyhole.
 But, no. It wasn't her husband. 
Apollyon's hand wasn't anywhere near her head, her nape or her back. 
One hand of his was lightly pressed at her buttocks and that's it. 
Apollyon stood behind her wearing a blank expression and looking a bit bored. 
When their eyes met, Apollyon tilted his head at her as he raised a curious eyebrow.
Apollyon opened his mouth to ask what's on her mind but she placed a finger on her lips and spoke with her eyes before gesturing to her temple. 
He shut his mouth. 
Her husband was smart and he got her signal at once that they should speak through their minds. What was the use of their blood bond anyway except for that purpose?
'Your grandparents are right, Apollyon.' Luna said. 'She is speaking to herself, facing a handheld mirror.'
Returning her attention to the the vision in the keyhole, Luna witnessed Princess Ourania lifting her chin  and smiling smugly in the mirror while her long purple-coated fingernails rested on her chest. This time, Apollyon's mother had changed into a shiny silver ball gown with a hint of blue after Queen Titania had thrown hibiscus tea on her face in irritation at the gazebo.
Now that she thought about it, it was a coincidence that Queen Titania and Princess Ourania  and Luna wore gowns in variations in blue.
'Any other person around her?'
Luna's left eye looked to the right then to the left as she shifted her form, trying to get a view on the rest of Princess Ourania's room. 
If someone caught them wandering  in this private hall where no guests should be allowed, Luna might appear like a fool with her buttocks sticking out while her husband's palm massaged them as she spied on the keyhole.  
Hopefully, the rule was still in place. 
Princess Ourania's private hall was off-limits from anyone aside from the Summer Monarchs. 
There would be no maidservants and Fae sentinels traipsing around here.  
Should she kneel to get comfortable?
No. 
Luna might lose her self-respect with that. 
'I don't see anyone else so far.' Luna projected her thoughts to him. 'She might be used to talking to herself when she was alone in her room. I think some people do that.'
'I could not hear anything from the inside.' Apollyon thought.
'That is the mystery.' Luna told Apollyon as more furniture and antique ornaments took form. 'This entire floor is protected with Fae Magic. But it's a little dark… sinister.'
'I sense something strange about my mother. I can't say it's something demonic or evil.'
  'Something else had your mother under protection.' Luna agreed. 'I just couldn't figure out where it came from.'
'What is she doing right now?'  
  'I think she was preening herself, admiring her own damned reflection in the mirror.'  
'You know what the legends say. Mirrors can also be a conduit to speak to the gods.' Apollyon told her.  'Mirrors can be portals to the Spiritual Realm. A high Priestess can summon an evil spirit or trap them In there  with the right ritual, We can probably summon an Archdemon with that.'
That was why Luna was afraid of mirrors because the secret  knowledge about Archdemons and evil spirits was deeply ingrained in her.  
'Or an Archdemon. But your mother does not have access to Archdemon Magic and I would have known right away if there was some demonic activity around her.' Luna smelled the aroma of scented candles but no candles were lit inside the chamber. Frown lines marred her forehead. 'Maybe, she just loves herself too much as a way to recover her identity.'
'She thinks she lost them to other people's influence when she was a bit young and naive.' Apollyon stepped forward as he caressed his fingers on her back, urging her to step aside so he could watch as well.
Luna answered. 'I think there is no harm in that.'
'All I can tell is that this woman had no sense of responsibility for her own life. She disgusts--'  
Luna's mind blanked abruptly that she hadn't caught her husband's words. 
Her heart was beating fast when her spying eye caught a quick movement on the other side. 
As her eyes wandered the furniture, Princess Ourania's form disappeared as darkness came like a thick velvet curtain covering her sight. 
Something peeked at her through the other side of the keyhole. 
It was an eye of solid black without distinction between pupil, iris and white, appearing like a ragged hole—an endless void.


"I will make you my queen."

He grabbed the chains attached to the bed and closed the shackles around her wrists.

"I'm the High Priestess. You can't—"

Fear trembled through her mind and body.

She couldn’t consummate this marriage if the Blood Beast truly decided to make her his queen. Luna must remain a virgin High Priestess in order to remain a vessel for Hecate's magic.

"What are you planning to do?"

“I will make you mine no matter what so that I can take control of the Vampire King's consciousness forever. He  won’t be back anytime soon."

Luna thought the Blood Beast was out of his mind for wanting to make the virgin High Priestess his mate. The consequences of that would…

Her mind raced through all of the possible consequences.
There was no way she could allow the Blood Beast to gain any more power. Especially if he gained that power by drinking the blood that was, laced with Hecate’s magic, running through her veins.

She needed the Vampire King back.

The Blood Beast moved on top of her body. He stopped when he was eye-level with her. The sudden intimacy was shocking, especially since she was tied down. Chest to chest, he removed her cloak and peeled off her flimsy dress.

He growled. "If you struggle, I will rip your head off."

Screeching sounds from the leather boots as it collides with the grassy floor lingered in the air. Their distinct figures overlaid shadows on their path as they plastered placid smiles on their faces, for they are at home.
Those humane eyes once wept hot and blinding tears of unspeakable sorrow. Their warm beating hearts once felt the burning rage of pain and anger. Their calm minds, once coveted by overpowering self-pity and loneliness.
Perhaps for those reasons, we could say humans and these creatures weren't that different at all.
Yuna and Dale were carefully disassembling the spyglass, arranging every single piece on a white cloth to find the odd in it. She somewhat noticed that the mirrors were refracting light instead of reflecting it. There was a need to change that. Refracting telescope isn't that bad but not that helpful for her.
She looked around for any sign of the lavender dude, only to find him standing by the balcony. She wondered why Zyair failed to notice the position of the mirror or the mirror itself.
Odd, it does look like it was a coincidence but it's bugging her, why?
Zyair, who's been watching the sunny scenery of the rear end of the school, was astounded by what he had seen. Down the forest far from them was a bridge with Omri, Manasseh, and Hayden, seemingly waiting for 'them', just some friends coming home.
"Mr. Zyair, I think we need to buy some stuffs for the..." Yuna spoke up, making Zyair aware of her presence.
"Eh, Yuna, You shouldn't be..." Zyair panicked, but he knew it was too late to stop her.
She saw it, down at the same scene; some people wearing dark cloaks showed up from the forest as they approached the three. She watched how an ostensibly a woman ran towards Omri and hugged him.
She truly doesn't care, never cared, but her body said otherwise. Before a streak of pain could even reach her lonesome heart, her eyes begot tears.
She almost eluded herself from the fact that this body ain't hers, this heart wasn't hers. She just let her guard down.
"Cr*p" she madly cursed to herself as she tried to hid herself. More was the pity, for Zyair had seen it. He witnessed what Omri told him, the same scene Omri saw from Yuna. He gritted her teeth as he faced her jolting back while hearing her sobs.
The body indeed remembered.
She clenched her chest from the unfamiliar anguish, she hated it. It was something she successfully avoided all her life on Earth but here, it just happened without any particular reason? Where's the justice?
'Calm down,' She madly shouted on her mind as she wiped away her impudent tears. She has been cynical about love. Not even flawless characters from books and movies would make her heart falter. She has no conceit ideals and no merit to life. Her heart was as of a barren wasteland with nothing beautiful to see.
Such a 'feeling' as love, for her, is nothing but a drawback.
Zyair, fighting himself, whether or not he'd tell her the truth but before that, he hoped he could do something to ease her pain. How could he even tell her everything without hurting her?
---That Omri's now starting a family. That he has someone he loves now.
He took a step towards her, deciding to give a brief hug but then, Yuna unexpectedly turned around to meet him. His eyes widened as he instantly halted in front of her. He watched her groan as she wiped her tears.
"I'm sorry about that. The wind's burning my eyes." She gave him a small laugh that it only made him felt sadder.
Now that they took the wrong impression, she has nothing to do but to keep it that way. Never thought it was this disastrous, the feeling of not being able to defend herself.
"Teacher, I have a robe," Dale shouted as he entered the room with a gray robe. Gladly, he left earlier before Yuna cried.
"Buy some stuff, you said earlier?" Zyair asked, changing the topic. Never did he thought, that the plan was going well.
"Yes, I figured out what's wrong with the...um, spyglass. We need to change the mirrors and we need some metals." She replied as she walked towards Dale, planning to wear the robe he just brought.
"I see, I know just the place." He replied with a smile, a sad one.
They planned this all out, everything. The odds on the mirrors were intentional so that they could lead Yuna to 'her' without her doubting. Now that Omri was busy, Zyair would continue the plan on his own.
It was going so smooth that he kind of pitied her. He watched her wear a gray robe that stopped on her knees. She's elegant with her middling gestures, and even her lavish smile would make everyone shower her with love.
So why?
What's bothering him?
Silence accompanied them on their quick journey as Zyair led them to another unknown path. It was solemn and out of the Earth's world. Furnished hexagon stones paved their way as they walk by the field of flowering shrubs. Bougainvillea and hydrangeas, she could name some.
They then entered a tunnel of flowers, shading them from the scorching sun.
Yuna stayed calm as she looked around. The sight was indeed beautiful and magical. Small colorful glow of cyan and emerald light were flying around on top of every delicate flower, making her think about butterflies.
'Some sort of alternative, maybe,' She thought.
Amazed by the scene, she did not realize they finally reached their destination. As they walked out of the tunnel of flowers, in front of them was a wooden and clay cottage confined by blooming flowers. It was clean and silent that she wondered why they even came here. It doesn't even look like a shop.
They reached the wooden door and Zyair opened it for her and Dale, revealing few tall shelves vertically arranged. Peculiar items filled every space on the shelf, making it look like an antique shop.
She looked from left to right; they were six elongated shelves all in all inside the room but she wondered where she would even start.
"Welcome to Deyonne's Domain," Zyair exclaimed as he volunteered to give the formal greeting in the owner's stead. 
Dale, with a starters pack chuckle, he then laughed at Zyair's sudden act while Yuna, she did not care much. Her attention was on the stuffs being displayed on the wooden shelves.
The fact that it was cut off from the marketplace and it wasn't probably known. She wondered what's special in here to keep it private.
"My, my, what a lovely soul," A very low voice reached their ears.
Yuna sharply turned around, only to find an old woman in her fancy black thick dress. Worse is, the old lady was only behind her, it almost creeped her out.

A domineering assassin, a.k.an astronomer was transferred to another world, the world where Myths and Legends created by human imagination live.

She's now living the life of a resurrected sprite as her new identity while trying to survive this alternative world of hers.

Twists of fate led her to learn and scavenge the mysteries of this world until she wondered,

"Was this all a dream?"

In the midst of the entire situation, Julianna had been laying around under the pile of junk that toppled over her earlier, and she had just began to shuffle her way out. Julianna grumbled as she shuffled herself out of the junk pile and began to mutter her annoyance of having to go on a mystery-solving spree and that she'd rather be home watching a horror movie. Julianna stood up and brushed herself off, but began to notice that everything was quiet… too quiet… Julianna look at the ends of the upstairs hallway, but things were dead silent here and there as well. A door suddenly pops up across the railing and a pathway to the door, made entirely of the floorboards, stands in front of Julianna. Julianna backs away, but the pathway pulls her in like an escalator all as the door opens. Julianna jumps up and attempts to run away, but the pathway sped up faster and faster until Julianna was suddenly flown through the door.

Julianna lands onto a black ground and groans. She gets back up and sees that she's in a pitch black room. The room the illuminates a blue light. The light begins to giggle in a familiar voice.

"Mellisa?" Julianna asks in slight shock. The blue light then forms into Mellisa then began to float around her. Julianna tries to grab the floating Mellisa, but her the entity just phased through her hands. Julianna's armed shivered in disbelief as she quietly uttered, "What… the… hell…?" The entity giggled in Mellisa's familiar laughter, but then another laugh is heard from afar, and the blue entity flew away to the sound. Julianna cried, "Wait!" and began to follow the entity. However, Julianna was running through a black abyss and could honestly be going anywhere. Julianna began to slow down and was getting tired. She kneeled over to catch her breath, and just then, a light began to shine behind her. The shining light was revealed to be a hallway with a set of doors. Julianna examined the hallway but then spotted the blue entity, and a red entity sporting a form similar to that of Sonia's, as they headed straight through one door and out of the other. Julianna immediately gave chase and ran through the door, however, she ends up coming out of the door next to the door she entered.

"What the-…" Julianna spoke out. The big gloomy girl scratched her head and then decided to go through the same door, only to end up exiting through the door that was far away from the door she entered. Julianna was getting confused and angry, but she then hears Mellisa and Sonia's laughter again but through the door next to her and begins to run straight inside. But as she opens the door, the blue and red entity exit the door and go into a further door, which then causes Julianna to not to through that door and just chase the entities. Julianna chases the entities door after door, coming out of different exits, all while the entities go through various doors themselves, seemingly making Julianna lose her mind as she runs through all of these doors. Doors were opening from left to right to sideways to in the corners to atop the ceilings to under the floors to on the rugs, and all three of them were suddenly going through the same doors, not knowing that they were following each other. It got so crazy that all of the doors suddenly came to a shut, and just then, a walking, talking fox and rabbit come out of one of the doors themselves to greet us!

"Hey there! I'm Jean-Luc, and this is Joey. We don't belong here, but heck, its Halloween," Jean-Luc greets casually.

"Even we love to have some spooky fun!" Joey says with his joyous tone.

"Alright, we'll let you guys get back to this story. See ya!" Jean-Luc finishes, then he and Joey head through the door across from them, allowing the story to properly continue. Just then Julianna comes out through a door on one side of the hallway, and the red and blue entities come out through the other side of the hallway.

"AHA!" Julianna exclaims and then she leaps in an attempt to tackle the entities, but instead they phase through Julianna once again, and proceed to laugh at her. They then float upward through the ceiling and out of Julianna's view. Julianna gets up and brushes herself off and then a door opens up with a swirling purple portal coming out of it. Julianna slowly walks to the portal and stands in front of it. However, the blue and red entities come back and mischievously snicker at each other. They then turn back into the forms of Mellisa and Sonia then sneak up behind her. "Sonia" shoves Julianna's cap down her head, blinding her, while "Mellisa" shoves her inside, slams the door hard, and then magically shifts the doorknob and keyhole so she can't come back. Julianna screams as she flies through the portal unknown where she'll end up next. Meanwhile, Mellisa had been stumbling down the stairs that she fell from when she encountered the ghost of an elderly man. Mellisa finally tumbles to the bottom and rubbed her head in a small wince of pain. Mellisa hopped back up and saw that there were mirrors lined along a straight path. Mellisa started at the mirrors and saw how goofy they made her face and body look. Mellisa giggled and continued to goof around with herself, but two of the mirrors behind her began to glow and emanate a green hue. Mellisa takes a notice at the hue and becomes mesmerized by it. The curious, cheery girl stares at the mirror with her big blue eyes, and then she touched it. The touch ZAPPED Mellisa! Mellisa shook up from being electrocuted and ended up creating a second Mellisa. Mellisa flew off and bumped into one of the mirrors while the clone stood up and began to talk to her.

"Say, are you ok?" the clone asked.

"Yeaahhh… just a little bump on the noggin and-" Mellisa stops when she notices the clone and then begins to spout, "Say! You're me!"

"Really? Cause I thought I was you!"

"If you're me, then am I you?"

"That depends. Do you like Scooby-Doo?"

"Why I sure do!"

"Me too!" Mellisa's clone answers back, and they both begin to giggle happily. Mellisa then tells her clone that she's on a mystery to find a shadowy beast that's been lurking the mansion, and Mellisa's clone immediately asks if she can join them. Mellisa cheerfully allowed her to join and they both hug each other very tightly.

"So what does this ghastly, ghostly, garnishing monster look like?" the clone asked.

"Well it's tall, and it's got a cloak on, it's dressed in rags, and it's got spooky red eyes," Mellisa explained, "Oh! And I found a clue which is this lump of cat and dog fur." Mellisa's clone examined the cat-and-dog fur, and proceeded to feel it. She agreed that the clue was indeed fur, but also began to question, "If this is fur from a cat and dog… and it smells like one of them bathed in a fancy-esque conditioner… why would a cat or dog be doing here? Then again… it could be a really tall guy with both blonde and brunette hair."

"Oh oh yeah. Yeah," Mellisa agreed, "But the question is… where could this beast be now?" Mellisa and Mellisa both pondered the situation not knowing that the shadow beast was standing behind them, lowly growling. Mellisa began to pat the shadow beast, thinking that it was her bestie and politely stated, "Not now bestie, I think I have a lead," then continued to ponder. The original Mellisa, however, looked up and saw that bestie… was not bestie…

"M-m-m-m-m-mellisa-a-a-a…?" Mellisa shivered to her clone. The clone politely answered but then the original pointed at the shadowy beast in a fright. The clone turns and sees the shadow monster and the monster growls at her, causing the clone Mellisa to exclaim, "ZOINKS!" and jump into the original Mellisa's arms. Both Mellisas shivered like goofballs as the monster intimidates them. The monster then pulls out an old cassette player and turns on some groovy '70s music that was perfect for comedic chase sequences and then attempted to grab the girls, but they had immediately zipped away before that could happen. Both Mellisa's ran straight into a dead end, but the clone opened up the mirror like a door and pulled herself and the original Mellisa inside then shut it fast. The monster however caught the door just in time and jumped inside itself.

When a ginger-haired teenage girl named Sonia is suddenly destined to fight demons led by a maniacal entity and save the universe from falling into Eternal Darkness, she must endure the challenges such as excessive homework, late night homework, drama queens, sleeping in class, battling giant monsters, overcoming her deepest fears, and the mania of living with a slapstick cat-and-dog duo. 

Man! This girl can't get a break, can she?

Still I wonder if it was best to put his life and hers on the line just so they could be together but then again he was a great actor. For a moment I believed it, the way he trailed his fingers upward, stopping when his hand cupped my cheek as our eyes met. It felt so much like love even if it wasn't real. 

It made me wonder if this was the nearest I was ever going to get as a mate. Pretending to be a step for someone else so their important person can stay safe and one day they can be together. 

The look in his eyes made me want to help him. His were possessive and unshielded despite the hash situations of their meeting. I really could not stop blushing such a man would be a forceful love demanding partner in bed. 

"Do you mind if I take a set of mirrors?" I asked, remembering Velberg's description of them. 

Knight laughed. It was a husky masculine sound that had more than one woman in the room turning toward him. Lust pulled the flesh taut across his high cheekbones and his dark eyes had burned to a savage icy blue. 

"It is a rather useful piece isn't it, Gene?" he teased. 

I grinned and tilted my head to an angle so I could look at him through my lashes. He did attract a lot of attention with his looks or it could be. In a display he slowly brought my hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to it. 

"This really is unexpected." I said backing away uncomfortably so. 

"I asked would ask if I was stupid. I rather we take a long stroll and see if any other catch your fancy." A little smile played at the corners of his mouth. 

"I appreciate it, thanks." 

He glanced at me drew my gaze to his eyes. I felt a burning. I wanted purr as Knight's hand slide over me protectively. 

"Admit that you love me." He leaned in and whispered, "say it, please. Everyone needs to know it to make it real. I need so hear it." 

I move my head in a nod. It was all I was able to give. I was afraid saying it would make it real and something borrowed could only be mine for so long. Real emotion coursed through knowing that it was an illusion but still longing for it to be real. I'd never had a man desire me intensely or show me any interest.

A simple rebirth story. Finding love. Righting wrongs.
