17th July 2030. Four months have passed since the riot at Piccadilly Circus caused by my unlicensed release of Avatara.  

Robert Ash ( 26 January 2015 - 8th March 2030) otherwise known as Knightmare on the web, was buried at Lambeth cemetery in South London. He was the son of a thirty something year old woman who struggled with drug addiction and an absent father. His mother hasn't been seen since his burial. 

Byron Grimm  (26 July 1972 - 8th March 2030), Director of Sheldrake enterprises, was cremated a month after his death. His penthouse was largely empty apart from a stool by the balcony, a painting of wild boar running in winter woodland and uncooked meat in the freezer. 

They were the only casualties that day...

I still haven't gotten over it but Jazz has been a great support. He filed a detailed police report that showed my involvement in Avatara by the facts and how I tried to stop the situation going out of control. He explained that I released Avatara to the public in Piccadilly Circus to save his life, the police and other civilians in the area. He concluded that Avatara was a great risk to public safety and privacy and should be banned. He was keen on me reading the report and incessantly asked me questions about how the Avatara program developed from idea to product. I just wanted to move on but I agreed with him, Avatara should be illegal. 

I escaped media attention. How? By signing a non-disclosure agreement with the government. That in exchange for my silence, they would pay me a sum of money as damages for the trials and torture I experienced under Grimm. I used that compensation to open a flower shop. My identity as the creator of Avatara would remain a secret.
They were keen on avoiding a public scandal. They needn't have worried, I had no intention of selling my story. How much money did they offer? Not as much as you might think. 
"Hey!"
I looked up from my lunchtime reading of a trashy newspaper. Sometimes, I read celebrity gossip, so that I can zone out my brain from thinking too much. When sitting outside, under the canopy of a lovely cafe in Soho, I am truly relaxed. Jazz walked across the street to meet me. Sauntering, with his left hand in his trouser pocket, like a fashion model. I waved at him with my fingers coyly.

"I was thinking we should go to a blues bar this evening," said Jazz. "Just saw a good one round the corner."
"Nope," I said. "We are not doing that. Me and you are going to do dance lessons."
"Dance lessons?" said Jazz. 
"Yes. Tango. You know that day we fought 'he who we will not name in Piccadilly Circus,' I left my real body in the cupboard of a tango dance studio. It has left a lasting impression on me."
"A lasting impression eh?" said Jazz. He whisked me around in his arms and leaned in close, his light hazel eyes locked in with my blue. "How about this for a lasting impression?"
"How about it?" I smiled.
This was not the first time I kissed Jazz but why is it at perfect moments like this, something always has to mess it up.

"Sorry, it's my phone," I said.  I checked the screen and of course it was Mum. Darn. Lol.

At Sheldrake enterprises, there was not much obvious activity. An ongoing government investigation decided who would become the next director. Rylan Spector won the candidacy. While, the decisions were made, Spector and a small team continued their work at Q division in the basement. Apparently, not much changed in operations policy since the Avatara farce and Q division was allowed to operate independently, they reported their work to MI5 and the ministry of defence. 
If anyone demanded to know what they were currently doing, Spector would have told them they were running a few simulations to check system efficiency. He was the last to leave that night, and he instructed the security guard of the monitor room in the basement to call him immediately, if any message came up on the main supercomputer monitor. 
It's a boring job, staring at screens you don't understand but the security guard occupied his attention with a comic book while snacking on peanuts. He was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" he said. He adjusted his thick rimmed glasses, pushing them further up his nose bridge, concentrating on what he was reading. 
"Hi David." The person entered the room and it's only now that the security guard looked up. "What are you doing?" The person was dressed exactly like him but was broader and had a large belly which overhung his trousers.
"Oh hey buddy," said Dave. "Not much going on here I'm just reading a comic, not much going on here."
"Cool, what's it about?" said the other security guard. He had a bubbly tone of voice, with an accent, clearly not from London. In fact both men, sounded like they were from somewhere else like Wales. 
"It's called the flying Nanoman," said the first security guard. "It's about a lady who creates a secret serum that can give people superpowers but her evil boss wants it for himself only and tries to kill her. She then has to take it to escape and  then she gets superpowers and is able to fly like superman."
"Aww that sounds ridiculous, any way mate, you fancy a tea?"
David looked at the screens in  front of him for a moment. There was not a flicker of activity. "You know what, nothing's happening here, let me come with you." He jumped out of his swivel chair that continued to spin following the speed of his exit. 
A second after they left the room, he stormed back in.
"Hang on, I forgot my tobacco," he said. Then he left again, slamming the door behind him. 
There was a cold silence in the room. But in a brief moment like a butterfly leaving the cocoon, there was a fast flutter of activity on screen. Hundreds of algorithms and scripts appearing on screen were separating and merging again in various formations. Lines and lines of code ran down the left side of one of the screens and then stopped. It was followed by three dots.

Benjamin could not remember how long was the last time he was in the pure blue space.
Each time, the conditions he met to come here was quite different, but most of the time it was because he achieved a new milestone in his magic training. In this short period of time, he had surpassed the speed limit he could once go when flying, and continued growing slowly in magic, but did not experience much change. Thus, the pure blue space avoided him.
From his estimation, he felt that the next time he entered his dimension of consciousness would be together with the triangular rune.
But, in this totally unknown underground city, he saw a familiar rune, then through this rune, he entered the pure blue space. He totally did not expect this to happen.
With this, he was once again in the pure blue space, he looked around to see his surroundings.
This time, the pure blue space was full of triangular runes. They seemed to have been placed by something in this dimension, and even had life now, and could freely move.
Benjamin did not know why he felt this way.
At the same time, he did not hear that sound which represented "water", the pure blue space was dead silent, as if he was in medium which sound could not pass through, or maybe, sound could not exist here at all.
Well…..what could exist here?
Compared to the previous times, Benjamin was more conscious. Thus, he had a feeling that he was in confusion. He felt that he was looking at the runes in the pure blue space. But then, he felt as if he was looking at himself from a third-person view as well.
He found out that he could not move in this place.
That feeling was like as if he was a person drawn into a comic. He could not breathe, could not speak, other than thinking, he could not tell the passage of time.
This made Benjamin feel uneasy.
Right when he was thinking on how to make himself move, suddenly, a wave of energy came and collided into him, as if he was just hit by a train.
His brain buzzed and he almost blacked out.
Damn…..
What the hell?
Even though he had this feeling that he was not really here, but when that wave of energy hit him, it felt way too real.
The pain spread from the wave, that bone breaking and muscle tearing pain…..if he could move, at this moment he would probably but screaming till his veins popped and would be rolling on the floor.
But, this was just the beginning.
Following that, wave after wave like grenade explosions came from all unpredictable directions.
At that moment, Benjamin’s pain tolerance reached its limit, and felt as if he was being torn apart. But in reality, he was still fine, and was still the same, not being able to move. The pure blue space in front of him did not change either.
But, the waves of energy came relentlessly and collided into him all the same.
Benjamin was not sure whether he should spit out blood or cry.
How could this be? What was going on? Is it because of the bomb he threw before he came here, and now the pure blue space wants revenge?
He did not know what was going on at all, what he only knew was that he was about to die from the pain.
After a while, he could feel his will breaking, as if he was about to collapse. What was the hardest to deal with is that his consciousness remained the same, he was vigilant as ever, every wave that hit him made him feel clear pain, and continued tormenting his soul.
I cannot...
Benjamin could not withstand it any longer.
Who could withstand this at all?
He wanted to escape, but, there was nothing he could do. He was just like a character inside a comic, unable to move, he tried to scream, but the sound only reverberated in his own soul.
In his heart, his throat was nearly dried up from the screaming.
In his heart…..
Suddenly, Benjamin who was in great pain suddenly saw a light, a bright light flashing in his mind.
Even though he could not make a sound, he could still shout into his heart: "Hey System? Can you hear me? Use that ability of yours and turn me into that intangible form!"
The moment he said that,
As if a soul entered his body, Benjamin suddenly felt that he could freely move, the colliding sensation and that pain disappeared.
Who knew that could be so useful?
Because of the sudden change, he could not do much in time, but he consciously tried to feel a triangular rune that was closest to him.
Ding!
There was a sharp sound from somewhere.
Benjamin felt relaxed, and could a pulse resonating through his body, making him feel so comfortable that he was in cloud nine.
But, this feeling did not last. Very quickly, the euphoria diminished, and a strong depressing feeling replaced it. He felt as if he entered an abyss and was continuing to plunge deeper, his will to move slowly died out.
At that moment, Benjamin realized the System’s "intangibility" was about to end.
Uh oh...
He did not want to go back to being hit by a few trains at the same time!
Even though he did not know what to do, but, before the "intangibility" vanished completely, he strongly grasped onto the triangular rune that was seemingly drawn here as well he was touching.
Right when he pulled the triangular rune,
Woosh!
There was another resonance, but Benjamin felt as if he just woke up from a dream.
Following that, when he regained consciousness, he realized he entered his own dimension of consciousness. What was most eerie was that he maintained the pose he was in when he was back in the pure blue space, his hand which was stretched out was clutching onto his own water rune.
Him struggling, his right hand holding tight onto something, the triangular rune being dragged…...the whole picture was the same as in the pure blue space.
Benjamin was stunned.
What…..was going on?
Before he thought of what was happening, he remembered, magical runes did not have solid shapes. Before this, when he was meditating, he tried touching them but his hand passed through.
Then…...how did he managed to clutch onto the water rune?
When he realized, suddenly, the water rune he was clutching on became intangible, and passed through his heart. He was like an imagination, and could no longer grab onto anything, falling from the sky.
"Fuck..."He could not stop himself cursing.
The floor of the dimension of consciousness was quite hard, he did not react in time to shield himself, and hit the surface quite hard, even the System dropped out, and slid all the way in front of Benjamin.
"Are…..trying to perform in a circus?" It mockingly asked.
"Perform your ass!" Benjamin rubbed his face and snapped back. After some thought, he continued asking," Oh yeah, what just happened?"
"I was meaning to ask you." The System replied, "You touched that stone board, and became stunned, as if you were frozen, and stayed that way for about half an hour. Then, not knowing why, you suddenly made me toggle the "intangible" form. Even though I thought you were already crazy, I still did it. Then…..then, next thing, I was looking at you trying to do some circus acts already."
"..."
Hearing this, Benjamin was silent.
Why was this encounter in the pure blue space so strange?
But…...it seemed that every time he entered it, all those instances were strange as well.
After some thought, he was too lazy to care anymore about these details. With the System not knowing anything, it was normal, but, thinking back, not knowing why, he thought of the Pope that managed to enter his own dimension of consciousness as well.
The Fourth Pope wrote on that book about something similar, "In a pure white space, as was knocked down by something out of a sudden", that was similar to what Benjamin felt!
He remembered when the Pope was knocked down, the holy light in the dimension of consciousness formed five balls and wrote him a "hello".
That…...Benjamin was knocked down so many times, what would happen to the water elemental energy he stored here?
Thinking of this, he used his mental energy to start feeling.
But, it was surprising, in this familiar darkness, he could not feel a drop of water elemental energy. The state of the dimension of consciousness was like when he overused magic, all the water elemental energy was gone, with the dimension experiencing a drought, there was not a single drop left.
What happened?
Where did the water elemental energy he stored every day go?
When he was extremely confused, he looked around, suddenly, on the side of the ice rune, he noticed some tiny objects that were glowing with a blue light.

Because the gun took exactly my mother's head. And I survived. Because that bullet was on my hand. My mother and I had fallen to the ground and the circus had fallen to the ground. After some time, the police department 's police arrived. The head of the police department looked around. There were only burnt bodies.                                             "Goddamn what this has all done," he said.  He looked at me. He saw my face. My face was completely burnt. So, I got my new family, "the story goes on, and it was the beginning of my new life.

Fu Tianci swallowed a mouthful of water, suddenly feeling like God had given him a tricky question. The uneasiness he was experiencing made him feel like sitting up straight, but he was afraid that might reveal his cowardice, so he forced his stiff body to remain still.
"Later, I had my doubts. Since you were willing to get engaged to me, why didn't you call me even once! Then I saw the online video of you taking part in the talent contest, so I thought you were perhaps busy with that, hence you didn't have the time to call me!"
At that time, when Mu Mantong saw the passionately singing Fu Tianci, her heart felt like it was going to leap out of her mouth!

I mean what I say! I hope you can believe me!"
Fu Tianci didn't reply for a long while. After a long time, he finally said, "Why are you so irritating?"

"If Mu Mantong falls for someone else and cheats on him, she can still take those assets?" Someone raised a question.
"According to the contract, that should be the case!"
After hearing this, the group of people marveled at how Fu Qingquan was willing to risk everything for the sake of his illegitimate son! 
The contract also stipulated that if Fu Tianci was the one who requested a divorce, Mu Mantong could additionally take away half of Fu Tianci's shares in the Kaide Corporation.

ne day, the show woman Sarah - who was helping Mr. Smith in shows - gave a quit request to Magnus - who became very fast Seb's right-hand and closest friend - to give it to the latter.
While Sebastian was watching his crew preparing itself to leave Paris and come back to London, Magnus came to him:
-Hey Seb, Sarah wants to quit.
-What? Why?
-She said that she has to take care of her family. And this job will distract her.
-Really? I see no distraction.
-What about travelling almost every day and turning the world around? Isn't that a distraction enough?
-You're right about that.
-So?
-If Sarah will quit, who will be the next show woman of The Extraordinary Circus?
Both of them turned to Catherine who was laughing and blabbing with twins Rose and Jasmine. Suddenly, Magnus suggested with delight:
-Cat! What about Cat?
-Mm… Why Catherine?
-Well, she loves us and the circus. We love her and we find her lovely, friendly and nice. We saw her once dancing with you so perfectly and better than your dance with Sarah. Why not? I think she'll be the perfect show woman ever in The Extraordinary Circus and in the entire world.
-She's just 25!
-So? She's a woman now. She's a lady, like Sarah and like all the women.
-You think?
-Yeah! Talk to her!
-… Now?
-Yeah! Go!
-At least come with me.
-Ok… chicken.
-I'm not!
While they started walking directly toward Cat and the twins, the three ladies saw them and so they stopped blabbing and making noise.
Jasmine: Hi sir, hi Magnus.
Sebastian: Hello girls, we need to talk to Cat, alone.
Magnus: (Interrupting) Well, I see that Jasmine and Rose will help us in our decision.
Cat: What decision?
Sebastian: (looking at Magnus) Cat, sweetie… A … Sarah, our show woman… quit.
Rose: What?!
Cat: No way! I'll miss her so much (deeply sad).
Jasmine: Why?
Magnus: She thinks that this job will distract her from taking care of her family.
Cat: She's right. We'll miss her a lot… But who will be the next show woman?
Magnus and Seb looked at her with an odd look and a large smile.
Cat: … Me?!
Sebastian: Yes Cat; you.
Cat: (Happy, shocked and surprised) What?! Oh my God!
Jasmine: You?!
Rose: Congratulations!
Cat: (Excited) Thank you Rose! (She calms down, asking her uncle) Why me?
Sebastian: Because you're nice, cheerful, a perfect dancer and a beautiful lady.
Cat: Am I not young for that?
Magnus: How? You're a woman now.
Cat: … Uncle?
Sebastian: He's right. If you don't accept this job, you may be either a worker in a factory for a very little salary, or just a fat wife of a rich or a poor man.
Cat: What about you, twins? What do you think?
Jasmine: Sebastian's offer is perfect and a rare chance to you to have a better future.
Sebastian: So?
Cat: Ok… agreed.
Magnus: Yes!
Rose: Welcome to The Extraordinary Circus, Catherine!
Sebastian: Good. Now, we have a lot to do. First, don't tell anyone that I'm your uncle.
Magnus: Why?
Cat: Why?
Sebastian: If we spread every detail of our circus and our own lives, the circus may be in danger. Also, some people will hate Cat - like they hate me and the crew - as a niece and a show woman more than just a show woman; "Wow! What a successful team! What a successful family! She became rich cause of her uncle…"
Cat: You're right, uncle.
Sebastian: Thanks sweetie. Now, while the crew is gathering their and the circus' belongings, I'll start teaching you some necessary things until we get in London. Then, I'll coach you until our first show. (He screamed) Guys!! Our new show woman is Cat!
Everyone: (surprised and happy) What? ... Catherine? ...
Sebastian: But don't spread the news; I'll do it. And keep the secret of "Cat is my niece"…

The greatest circus ever in the 20th century, managed by Sebastian Smith, faced a lot of difficulties: Smith became with cancer, and they need a surgery to rescue him. In the same time, the crew will lose its beloved train because Sebastian didn't pay it all. And all of that will happen in a one month. Will the circus, including Seb's niece Catherine Smith - called Cat - succeed in rescuing their manager and the train by offering 2 million dollars in a one month?


"Ashlei, please. You have no idea what you're doing." The Circus Master said.

"If you stop us now the Kardons."

"The Kardons are obviously influencing you. Did you ever think about that?" Ashlei fired back.

"You're not even trying to help these people. All those young men, women, even the children, the soldiers who helped to save our lives. You'll happily condemn them to the giants."

Florence tried to use her singing voice to calm Ashlei, but Ashlei quickly shot the Siren in the chest.

"Next time it'll be Keptis." Ashlei said as she thrust the gun back to the side of the Martian's head. "Do you think he'll be able to survive it as easily?"

"You treacherous bitch" Florence said in anger as her wound began to slowly heal. The Circus Master, Denika and Keptis were aghast to hear Florence use that kind of language. Even in these circumstances!

"After all we've done for you" Florence said bitterly.

"I'm sorry, I really am, but I can't let you do this to these people."

Whilst Ashlei was distracted, Carlene seized her chance and hurled a smoke bomb from her beehive at Ashlei. Ashlei dropped her weapon in the confusion, and Carlene who could see through the gas quickly restrained Ashlei.

The Circus Master then started to slash at the Mascia's machine, whilst Kile opened fire on the Vandal. It did no good however and Kile was soon restrained by Florence.

"How could you Carlene."

"I'm sorry darling, the last thing I'd ever want is to hurt you or anyone else here, but I, I saw the vision too. I saw what those things will do if we let em get to the surface." Carlene said whilst barely being able to look Ashlei in the face.

Within a matter of seconds the Circus Master had completely shredded the core of the machine. Decades worth of work by arguably some of the greatest scientific minds this planet had ever produced, was undone in under a minute. The Circus Master had never felt so ashamed.

As soon as the Circus Master had finished the alarm went off.

The Circus Master looked out a nearby window and saw hordes of monsters emerging from the green, filthy waters.

"I told you they have eyes and ears everywhere. Which reminds me Denika."

Denika quickly scanned for magic and found several lesser spells around the room. All designed to monitor the progress on the ship from the Demons. Though the Demons had access to stronger magics, stronger magics would have been instantly detectable even for the Kardons. She quickly shorted the spells out.

"Good we can talk properly now. There is a ship below that we can use to take you out of here." The Circus Master said to Kile who Florence quickly released.

"Not all of them" Ashlei sneered. "How are we going to get the Rysteians to decide which of them lives and dies? Or are you going to make that decision for them?"

"This isn't the time for that. The Ishica and the other lesser Demons will attack first, but it won't take long for the Kardons to follow and this time they won't be holding back."

Kile however simply reached for her weapon and shot the Circus Master several more times.

"You monster. I should have never trusted you."

Denika quickly pulled the gun out of Kile's hands with her magic and knocked her to the ground.

"Sorry Circus Master." Denika said. "We don't have time to talk her into it."

The Circus Master tried to rouse Mascia, but much like Kile as soon as he awoke he instantly tried to attack the Vandal, who quickly overpowered him.

"All those years of my life were for nothing. I'll kill you" Mascia screamed as he caught sight of the wreckage of the machine he had hoped would be his people's salvation.

The Circus Master pulled the Rysteian scientist to face a nearby window, where Miscia saw much to his horror the sight of literally thousands of Demonic creatures heading towards the base. The Ishica, the Octopus creatures, and hundreds more Demons from the darkest depths of the oceans, many of which even Mascia had never seen before, all swarmed the base, creating a wall.

"They're trying to keep us here until their masters arrive. They know that the Kardons will want the pleasure of torturing us themselves. Now do you believe me? "

Mascia wasn't ready to admit that his entire life had been a lie. Even when he thought he was fighting against the Kardons, those Demons were still manipulating him. Still at the very least the Rysteian accepted the reality of the danger his people were in now.

"We have to move now." Mascia said as he tried to rouse Kile. "Everyone will be heading for the escape pods."

"They'll never make it, you have to stop them, now." The Circus Master said.

"What is this another trick?"

The Circus Master rolled his eyes in frustration.

"It wasn't a trick the last time as you can see.  If your people try to leave now those Demons will stop them. We need a distraction, while your people get away."

"What do you mean" Ashlei asked.

"Not all of us are going to get out of this. I've known that since the start. When you deal with the Kardons you're lucky if anyone makes it out alive. I'm going to send one of the ships into those Demons. With a little magic tinkering, it should explode. It'll only take out a few Demons at the most, but it might dupe them long enough into thinking we have weapons that can hurt them. That's when I'll pilot a ship straight into the horde. With a little luck they'll scatter in fear at first. That's when the Rysteans and the rest of the Circus Folk should flee and head for the tent. Its not a perfect plan, but its the best we have."

"You can't face those Demons alone." Ashlei protested.

"No I'm not."  The Circus Master said as he looked at Denika.

"I won't ask you to come with me Denika, but I'm not going to lie that with your magics I could hold the Demons off a lot longer and save more people here. I won't ask you though as when the Kardons find us, the torture they'll reign down on us, will be beyond anything even we can imagine."

"When you put it like that how can I refuse."

"Denika I don't."

"Please Circus Master. You're right I'm terrified. For the first time I wish I hadn't joined our little team, but if I don't help you, more people will die. Two lives for thousands more? It seems like a fair trade to me."

"I want to help you too." Florence said, with Keptis soon offering after.

"No, you need to get the Rysteians out of here. I'm the leader, I made the decision to destroy their machine so it needs to be me that makes the sacrifice. Denika meanwhile needs to be here to help, the rest of you don't."

"Circus Master, I, I, don't know what to say" Ashlei said sheepishly.

"Save it. If I do survive this, you and I are going to have a chat. I'd never take you along, not only because you're useless, but because I don't trust you anymore." The Vandal spat back.

Ashlei didn't bother to respond. She had always felt like the weak link in the group and now she had let them down. She still wasn't entirely convinced that the Circus Master was right however, but she wouldn't bother to argue with him now.  They'd all have to work together if there was any hope of escape.

"Attention, attention" Mascia said through the speakers.

"Please remain calm. We cannot evacuate the base yet. The Demons are all around us. Please remain where you are."

Sadly his pleas fell on deaf ears as the Rysteians started to tear the place apart in their desperation. They fought with each other over the few remaining life boats, with some even shooting at one another, using the guns from the guards that the Circus Folk had knocked out cold.

The first ship that made it out barely got within ten feet from the base before it was ensnared in the tentacles of one of the Demonic Octopus creatures. The terrified Rysteian family who had managed to flee into the pod during the commotion, tried to fire the ships flimsy magical weapons at the Octopus, but this time the Demon didn't even flinch.

Several Ishica soon gathered around the pod and started to tear it open. The family were all pulled out slowly one by one. Thankfully the Circus Master couldn't see what the monsters were doing to the family through the murky waters, but he nevertheless still saw the green waves turn bright red.

"I guess they think they can have fun with some of us before the Kardons get here." The Vandal said in disgust.

Florence grabbed the mic from Miscia and started to sing through it. Within a few seconds the entire crowd had become pacified.

"No offence but I have better powers of persuasion than you do." Florence said to Miscia who had also fallen under her spell until she slapped him out of it.

Come on we need to get to one of the pods. Denika, this is your last chance if you're sure you want."

"Yes, yes, yes I am, lets hurry up before common sense prevails."

Denika and the Circus Master headed for the pods, not even bothering to say goodbye to the rest of the Circus Folk they had been travelling for years with, they had so little time to lose. The Circus Folk had been peace with their own, and each others deaths many years ago. They had too, as every mission they undertook could be their last.

Carlene, Ashlei, Keptis, Florence and the Strange Boy who was being held by Carlene gathered at the centre of the crowd who had been placated by Florence's music, but were now beginning to wake up.

"Listen to me. You've all only got one chance to get out of here." Keptis shouted.

"Our friends out there are giving their lives so that the rest of us can live. Even with that our chances are slim."

Suddenly Carlene pushed Keptis of the way, and took a blast straight in the chest. It was Kile, who had woken up from Denika's spell, whilst having slept through Florence's.

Before Florence could sing again, Kile shot the Siren in the face, destroying it!

Though Florence's wounds would heal it would take a few minutes to do so. The crowd instantly started to act up again now that Florence's spell was broken. 

"It's them!" Kile shouted as she fired her gun into the air. "They're the monsters who trapped us. They're working with the Kardons."

Mascia tried to shout over Kile but it was no good. He was soon knocked off of his feet by the stampeding crowd who started to attack the Circus Folk.

Keptis tried to fight them off, but he was soon overpowered. Carlene meanwhile after giving the Strange Boy to Ashlei soon effortlessly tossed the crowd members who came near away like children. As more and more began to pile on her however, Carlene tried to scare them away by screaming and baring her fangs.

The crowd were taken back for a moment whilst Kile continued to shoot at Carlene.

"See what I mean, she's not one of us. She's a monster!"

Carlene managed to effortlessly dodge Kile's attacks but as she moved closer to the Rysteian to attack her, Kile shot at the ceiling above Carlene, burying her under rubble.

The rest of the crowd then dogpiled on Carlene. Though she fought back and managed to throw several of her attackers away she was still overwhelmed. Several of the Rysteians even started to beat her with pieces of the fallen rubble.

Keptis meanwhile had been completely overwhelmed whilst Ashlei was forced back into a wall with The Strange Boy.

She could see the Rysteians were beginning to rile the boy. She wasn't sure if she was more scared for herself or for them.
