In these special chapters, I will introduce you to the characters and/or creatures in the story...
I will give you their descriptions according to my research from various resources such as apps like Philippine Mythology and some sites like Aswang Project and Wikipedia. Except for the villains such as the *Deadly Sins* because they my Own Characters and just a product of my imagination. I base all the creatures in my story from the Philippine Mythology.
Philippine mythology is the body of myths, tales, and superstitions held by Filipinos, mostly originating from beliefs held during the pre-Hispanic era. Some of these beliefs stem from pre-Christian religion that was especially influenced by Hinduism and were regarded by the Spanish as "myth" and "superstition" in an effort to de-legitimize precolonial faith by replacing those native beliefs with colonial Catholic Christian myths and superstitions. Today, some of these pre-colonial beliefs are still held by Filipinos, especially in the provinces.
Filipino mythology attempts to explain the nature of the world through the lives and actions of gods, goddesses, heroes, and mythological creatures. A majority of these myths were passed on through oral tradition.


Here are the Creatures from the previous chapters of the story.....

*GULA - The GLUTTONY of the Deadly Sins*
GULA is a mix or what I call a hybrid of Tiktik and Berberoka. It is attracted to humans who are fat and eats a lot without any satisfaction that is why he is called the Deadly Sins Gluttony. Gula also likes eating other creatures especially engkantos and diwatas. Its tongue and wings replicate the Tiktik and its appearance is mostly from Berberoka. 
Tiktik - Tiktik is a creature with a form of a bird-like human. It is similar to "wakwak" in the common Filipino term. Both are winged-humans who at night search for victims. They hunger for flesh and blood especially to those of fetuses. Tiktik looks like harpies, and both creatures are named after the sounds they create. According to stories, one cannot hear tiktik and aswang when they are very near. On the contrary, one will hear loud noises whenever they are far.
Berberoka - The people from Apayao, Abra and Ilocos Norte believe and fear a swamp creature called Berberoka. It lures victims by sucking water in the pond enough for a number of fish to come into the surface. When the potential victims get attracted to the school of fish, the Berberoka drowns them by hosing water and swallowing them afterward. Despite all their powers, these water ogres have a morbid, ironic fear of crabs. They were compared to the Greek naiads, the nymphs of water elements. They have the ability to suck all the water in a swamp or lake. Also, many old folks believed that they use water to attack their enemies. They discharge a large amount of water (just like a fire extinguisher) to their victims until they drown.

~ DIWATA~
Malaya Siblings are half-human and half-diwata and they each have an inborn power. But these powers are commonly possessed by some Elementalia creatures especially the Diwata's. Being one of the most powerful Diwata their mother has all these powers combined but because of the curse she began to lose it one by one every time she bears her child and its like she is passing it to them. 
Here are some details about diwata. But I use fairy in the story because it's most common especially to other countries.
In Philippine mythology, a diwata (derived from Sanskrit devata; encantada in Spanish) is a type of deity or spirit. The term "diwata" has taken on levels of meaning since its assimilation into the mythology of the pre-colonial Filipinos. It has its origin in the devata beings from Hinduism and Buddhism.
When the Spanish conquered the Philippines the commonly used meaning of the term reduced from goddess to dryad-like spirit which was considered benevolent or neutral. These spirits were invoked ritually for positive crop growth, health, and fortune; however, they were also considered to be able to incur illness or misfortune if not given proper respect.
They were said to reside in large trees, such as acacia and balete, and were understood as the guardian spirits of nature: casting blessings or curses upon those who brought benefits or harm to the forests and mountains.
In modern times, the term "diwata" is sometimes loosely used to refer to a generic type of beings, much like "elf" or "fairy," or very specific types. The term "diwata" is synonymous to "anito" and the usage of the word "diwata" is more prevalent in the southern Philippines, while "anito" takes its place in the northern areas.
The inhabitants of pre-colonial Philippines believed and worshiped diwatas and believed them to be deities created by the one true God to help administer his creation. The term "diwata" applies to both male and female deities (e.g., Diwata Barangaw, who is the male god of rainbows).
The diwata were worshiped and venerated in the pre-colonial Philippines are depicted as superior in beauty, in knowledge, and in fighting skills. They are prayed to and given offerings to grant requests and to answer prayers.
 
~LAMBANA~
The term lambana, which means "he upon whom all depend" in Sanskrit, is an old Tagalog word for a drawing symbol or picture that represents a deity of the ancient pagan religion of the Tagalog people. It is a term used for small winged creatures (pixies) that assist and serve as serfs and handmaidens to the diwata.

~ENKANTO~
Enkantos have many similarities to humans in that they age, appear to have male and female sexes, can suffer from illness, and die. They are an object mythology for many Filipinos as they are mostly pictured as non-muscular beautiful men having crystal blue eyes, fair complexion and golden hair. They may have unusual features such as high-bridged noses, fair skin, and no philtrum. They are also known to be taller than human beings. Some say they have leaf-shaped ears and that they sparkle under direct sunlight or grow sharp teeth when threatened.

Joy's family traveled through time from their home in the pre-colonial era and settled in our present day. Believing that they are safe, they choose to live normal lives without using their powers. But as time passes, evil stirs in the world. Something is hunting their ancestors and seeking a way to get a hold of the powerful Agimat's also called Elemental Amulets. 

This is the story of a half-human half-fairy named Joy together with her siblings and friends. On a mission to collect the Elemental Talismans that will lead them to explore a Magical World called ELEMENTALIA; the World of Mythical Creatures.

Did fate choose them to be the Guardians? Will they succeed in finding those agimat's? Can they save the two worlds?

As Kyla Nellifa approached Yura and Cheryl, she finally saw the whale's full body.
She almost screamed in shock. Yura and Cheryl were lying on the whale's back, laughing occasionally.
Kyla could not help but envy them. She continued to swim toward Amon.
However, Amon kept avoiding her, not giving her any chance to near him.
After swimming for a while, Kyla realized that she was not getting any close to Amon.
She was rather frustrated. Suddenly, she felt her foot cramp.
Then, she began to sink. Kyla slapped the water fiercely with her hands. "Help..."
"Ah... I think that female star is going to drown."
"Amon, go and lift her up."
Amon unwillingly swam below Kyla and then resurfaced, carrying her on his back.
Kyla touched Amon in amazement. It was her first time being so close to a whale.
Amon was enormous but not scary at all. Instead, Kyla felt very safe.
Yura and Cheryl climbed onto Amon's back, when Kyla asked, "What's its name?"
"Amon."
"Amon... Think I've heard this name before." Kyla suddenly seemed to recall something. "Wait, is he the whale in Mr. Steven's new movie?"
"I don't know... Yura, has Amon acted in a movie?"
"Dunno. I'll ask Brother later."
"He's huge." Kyla stood up. "Does he not move?"
"Usually not, unless Brother instructs him to."
"Mr. Chen?"
Kyla thought that the place was too perfect. It was simply heaven.
The house was filled with vitality and animals which coexisted in peace with their master.
Unfortunately, Yura and Cheryl were much younger than Kyla and it was not fun for her.
They would only play between themselves. Kyla could not even find an opportunity to speak.
She could only swim back to shore.
When she returned, she saw Chen Zhao and Fali walking out, holding each other's hands.
It was unfortunate that there was already a madam here.
Kyla approached the two. At the moment, they were sitting on the ground, leaning against Princess.
It was a lovely sight that only existed in fairy tales.
"Hey, Ms. Kyla, I hope you find my place alright."
"It's amazing. The environment is more than perfect, and the people too," Kyla said with a smile. "Isn't it troublesome to have so many pets? I mean, won't it be dangerous?"
"Ask Chen. He's an animal trainer," Fali said.
"You're an animal trainer?"
"That's just a hobby. My main occupation is still a doctor."
Chen Zhao did not want his professionalism to be questioned because of his hobbies.
"What's that smell? It's so good."
"Our dinner," Chen Zhao said.
"Weren't you..."
Kyla was confused. Weren't they in the bedroom just now?
How did they manage to cook dinner?
The two smiled but did not answer her question.
Spanish seafood paella, Spanish cold soup, Manchego...
Kyla realized that all the food was Spanish style.
Kyla was Spanish, so she knew the popular dishes in Spain.
Moreover, they tasted quite authentic.
Of course, they were still slightly different from the original dishes.
Nevertheless, Kyla was very satisfied with the dinner.
But how did they have time to cook?
They probably did not even enter the kitchen.
Was there a servant in the mansion that she did not notice?
Did they specially prepare these dishes because they knew that she was Spanish?
In fact, she was overthinking.
It was merely a coincidence that it was the Spanish dishes day.
To ensure that they would not be fired or replaced, the underlings had been learning new recipes every day.
"Uh, can I have more soup please?" Marian asked, somewhat embarrassed.
"Of course! Feel free to have whatever you want. We have more than enough," Fali said with a smile. "I'll help you to get it."
"I'll do it myself, thank you."
"Ms. Kyla, would you like to have some too?" Fali asked. She noticed that Kyla did not eat much.
She recalled that Kyla had not eaten much for lunch as well.
"No, thank you. I don't usually eat a lot." Kyla indeed wanted more food.
However, the first challenge celebrities had to face was to control their mouths.
"Don't worry. If you're worried about your shape, you can ask Chen for help. He also offers weight loss programs. In the past, he's helped a girl to lose from 140 kilograms to 60 kilograms in a month."
Fali thought that as a good partner, she should also help Chen Zhao in his career.
"Oh? Is it?"
"If you want to lose weight, you actually have to control your diet. A person can't eat and slim at the same time." Chen Zhao shrugged. "Of course, Ms. Kyla, you've indeed eaten too little. I can create a food list for you. At least you'll be able to eat something. Health is closely related to appearance. If your body is damaged from the inside, it'll first show on your face."
"Food list? That's great! How much will it cost?"
"Free," Chen Zhao said, smiling. "Do you usually exercise?"
"Not really, but before every audition, I would do some specific training."
"You can spend thirty minutes swimming every day. It can make you healthier, and you also won't have to train before auditions. Of course, unless it's a special role."
"Mr. Chen, can you make a food list for me too?" Marian asked uneasily.
She was not rich enough to pay for Chen Zhao's treatment. Nonetheless, concerned with her appearance, she did not want to miss this opportunity.
Therefore, she wanted to try her luck.
"Sure," Chen Zhao agreed readily.
Kyla really had to admit that life here was too comfortable.
Her house was not bad either, but the environment and atmosphere here were way better.
"Mr. Chen, do you have any intention to sell your house?"
"Err... Sorry, we've just built it. I don't plan to sell it." Chen Zhao shook his head.
Kyla was rather disappointed. With her experience, she could roughly tell that the whole mansion cost at most two million dollars to build.
But it was much better than her house, which cost six million.


Chen Zhao can summon demons and see Death.

“Beelzebub, use your Gluttony ability to treat this patient’s anorexia.”

“Raymond, this old man wants to regain his manly function. You know what I mean.”

“Blackie, tell me honestly, when and how is this person going to die... What? You don’t know? You’re the Grim Reaper!”

“That lady wants bigger breasts, a prettier face, and a slimmer body. Wait... I don’t have any demons with these subordinate abilities yet. Seems like I need to make another trip to Hell.”"


The skeletal bard let out a yelp as he fell backwards in an attempt to avoid Tatterhood's massive spoon. Undeterred by the swing and miss, Tatterhood kept up the assault, slamming the spoon downward.
"Oye, ¿podemos hablar de esto?", the skeleton bard exclaimed as he avoided the incoming blow by rolling backwards back into a standing position.

"Waitaminute, did the skeleton just speak Spanish", RJ thought as he watched the one-sided battle between Tatterhood and skeleton bard. Evidently, it didn't dawn on him until this moment to consider that a skeletal mariachi player would probably know how to speak Spanish, if he could sing in Spanish.

As he thought about this stupidly obvious revelation, his phone suddenly displayed a new prompt.

[Language unknown to user has been detected, would you like to purchase a Universal Language pack for 1000 gold coins]?

"...alright", RJ thought before clicking "yes" on the prompted screen. While normally he would ignore such prompts in other games or applications, he had the distinct feeling he was going to need this for any future encounters.

[Purchase confirmed, preparing to download language pack...now].

"Gya! Brain tingles!", RJ muttered as an insane amount of information in relation to language began to enter his brain all at once. Everything from the "Tower of Babel" to modern slang used by Estonian and South African teenagers flooded his brain. While he wasn't sure if he could write in those languages now, he was sure he could speak and understand those languages now.

"Oye chica...Pardon moi...Hey girlie, can't we talk about this?! I'm just playing guitar here!", the skeleton said as he kept dodging the attacks, "wait a moment, you can see me"?!

"Uh...yes?", RJ responded for Tatterhood in perfect Spanish. He was a little shocked at his sudden fluency, but decided to calmly just...roll with it. His entire day so far has been one magical fever dream at this point, suddenly speaking Spanish was somehow the least weird thing.

"What? You can see me too?! Is this crazy girl with you?", the skeleton asked as he dodged a wide swing aimed towards his head.  However, he did not expect Tatterhood to keep the momentum going and use it to sweep his legs from under him. 

The skeleton bard was knocked onto his butt as a result.

"Oof! Oh come on can't we-Ay!", he began to say before Tatterhood pointed the spoon at his skull like a blade. 

The skeleton shot his hands up like he was being held hostage at gunpoint...despite the weapon in question being a giant wooden spoon.

"So min venn, shall I send this dead one back to the afterlife or do you want to recruit him?", Tatterhood said whilst keeping her spoon pointed at the skeleton.

"Uh...".

"Recruit? What are you two? Gangsters or something?', the skeleton asked with fear in his voice, "Just so you know, one of my friends is a police officer and he would not like it if I joined a gang! Wait, why do I know that"?

"Enough talk!", Tatterhood said as she thrusted her spoon forward in a threatening manner.

"Ay"!

"Hold up Tatterhood", RJ said as he stopped Tatterhood from trying to smash the skeleton, "I want to see something real quick".

Tatterhood eyed RJ for a bit before putting her spoon back. The skeleton bard let out a small sigh now that the spoon wasn't being pointed at his skull.

"Whatever you say, min venn".

"Thanks...now then", RJ said as he shifted his attention to the skeleton bard. Sensing RJ's gaze, the bard began to straighten up his posture. He wasn't sure why, but RJ felt compelled to ask the skeleton a few questions about who he was and how he got here.

"Hey".

"Y-yes"?

"Do you know what you were doing"?

"Uhh", the skeleton paused, "playing music"?

"Yeah, but do you know why you were playing music? It caused a bunch of people to just sorta... pause and cry like crazy", RJ explained.

"It did? I was just doing what the voice in my...head? Said to do", the skeleton responded while scratching his skull.

"A voice"?

"Yeah, it just told me to put my feelings into a song, so I did. Guess I got lost in the music or something", the skeleton responded with an awkward laugh.

"Huh...okay...do you have a name?", RJ decided to ask. While inside the Spirit Garden, RJ finished up reading up on what the "storied" were and learned that theybcoild be divided into two main categories: the named and nameless.

The named ones were like Tatterhood, they tended to be main characters of a story or have some amount of backstory that made them...them. These included fairy tales, mythological figures or historical figures, oddly enough. They can have differing manifestations, but they all could be traced back to "a name".

The nameless on the other hand were like Ember, Frost and that Huoshu from earlier. They tended to be monsters, faceless side characters, fairies or a type of spirit that didn't have a name,or specific backstory, but were known to do a thing or live a certain way.

The example given in the turtorial was: "Shrek is an ogre, but not all ogres are Shrek".

With all this mind, RJ needed to figure out whether or not this skeleton was named or nameless.

"That...I don't know", the skeleton bard replied after a moment,"All I remember was waking up at the bottom of the bay and coming here...wait...maybe you can help me"!

"Huh?", RJ said incredulously.

"Yeah!", the skeleton said excitedly, "I mean, you and the crazy girl, no offense".

"None taken".

"Seem to be the only ones who can see me! Come on amigo, you gotta help me"!

Suddenly, a window prompt appeared between RJ and the skeleton.

[Optional Quest: Help the bard remember his name]

"See? Even the universe says you should help me! Actually, what is this thing?", the skeleton asked as he began to poke at the window.

"So do Fairytales really exist?"


THE AGE OF MYTHICAL BEINGS subsisted long before the medieval Renaissance period. 

As early as 500 years ago, mankind trusted a certain species of The Mythics. Mages. Sorcerers, the magic wielders. Some as wise and powerful as the Great Merlin himself.

But as time went on, they began to disappear, one by one. Vanished from the face of the earth. Extinct. Never to be seen or heard of again. No one never knew what ever happened to the magic users. But long after the Renaissance era came to pass, a few species lived on. Throughout countless cultures inked onto humanity's timeline in history, in all foreign folklores; there have been tragic backlashes, human beings encountered their loved ones, succumbed to the ever deadly pricks of what they're originally known, as The Dark Mythics.

In the earlier stages of society, the Dark Mythics were feared, despised, marked as outcasts—however they too hated humanity back. Regarding them as an inferior race.

Wizards were responsible for banishing them away to the Underworld to rot for eternity. But after their mysterious disappearance, their numbers increased. They were a thorn on humanity's side. In countless allegories; they've obtained many names in many forms; from the Spanish legends of El Chupacabra, to even the words of Shakespeare himself —dubbing these particular Dark Mythics as —the cold ones.

Feuded wars between the cold ones and the mortals waged on for decades—until in the age of Romanian Gothica began, and the Hunters of The Van Helsingr were born. 

Responsible for the wipe-out of the bloodsucker race, the skilled hunters of Van Helsingr were a fierce force of highly trained men, strong enough to slay even the most ferocious of beasts. As centuries went by, mortals believed all Mythics were absent from the world, and only they populated the earth. But as time drifted along, mankind suddenly forgotten all about the histories of their ancestors. That Mythics never really existed in the first place. That they were all but fairy tales, legends, saga and untruths. They were purely fiction of one's imagination, make-believe, fables—found only in children's stories.

The Mythics became nothing as they were; as MYTHS.

But little did the world know, the Vamps still lived on. Vampires still exist.

Whilst Mankind continued to be oblivious to their existence in the same way as the mortal world forged itself into the modern millennia, only a few secret of humans believe Vamps still roam amongst the living. But one teenage girl in particular, was about to cross into that world of bloodshed.

What would happen, if she were to actually cross paths, with a dangerous Alpha vampire?

500 years ago, mortals have had both friend and foe to the Mythics.

Wizards, magic users, fairies, nymphs and pixies... 

But there was a line of good and evil drawn within the Mythics, thus, there were the 'Dark Mythics'. 

Hated by the good and the mortal, the most iconic and despised of them all; were the Vampires. Their existence was a threat to all.

Suddenly the Good Mythics population were wiped out by an unknown. And after half a millennia, the mortals had seemed to have forgotten about the existence of Mythics and treated it as tall tales.

But Vampires were still alive.

Scarlett was an ordinary 17-year-old girl that moved to the remote, lake embedded town of Pastonville, her late mother's old home town - living with her mother's twin brother, Joshua. But when she goes to school and she meets her new classmates, Scarlett discovers that there was more to them and the town that meets the eye. 

Join Scarlett as they face Alpha-class Vampires, leaping through a mediaeval time paradox and protecting herself from being hunted down by the likes of the Vampires. For she was said to have hold sacred blood, lusted by the Vampire King and many greedy soulless bloodsuckers who thrist to rule over all.

"From everyone here at KBC, I wish you a Merry Christmas!"

The television announcer pulled a party popper, shooting out a handful of confetti in the air, alongside her colleagues, the anchor beamed with the brightest smile I'd ever seen on her face. 

"Christmas is a magical time of the year! And although most of us are confined at home, there's a surprise that we can all look forward to! From our forecasts, snow is expected today! It has been quite some time since we had snow on Christmas!"

Snow on Christmas? The woman's right; it has been a while since we had snow this early. Even my hometown, which was further north, rarely snowed during Christmas. 

I continued watching the program in earnest as the news anchor continued to chat merrily with her co-workers. Due to the pandemic, they had been separated by a plastic divider, but that didn't dampen their cheery mood. It must be the magic of the festive season. 

Speaking of the festive season, this confinement had given me much more time to prepare some of the dishes that I'd never made before. I squeezed a wedge of lemon onto the seafood paella that I'd prepared and poured myself a glass of eggnog. 

Normally, I wouldn't have made these two dishes, even in my spare time. It was just too cumbersome to make, and they were both loaded with calories.

But, as the announcer said… It was Christmas! I could afford to gain a kilogram or two. 

"Mmmm smells delicious."

The citrusy aroma of the lemon morphed with the pungent fragrance of the spices. I couldn't smell the seafood, but the colouring of the paella was impeccable. I pushed my metal spoon into the paella pan and dug out the good stuff. The crispy and delicious socarrat. The fact that I'd made a perfect layer of socarrat meant that I'd done a good job in making this traditional dish. 

Not bad for my first time.

Placing a sizable portion onto my serving plate, I brought my meal down from the kitchen island and onto the coffee table facing the television. 

I'd fasted all day for this scrumptious meal, and I couldn't wait to just wolf it all down. However, just before I could take the first and best bite…

Brrrttt… Brrrtt… Brrttt…

My phone rang at the most disturbing time. At this time, there was only one person I knew who would disturb me. Sighing, I dropped my spoon reluctantly and answered the video call.

"Merry Christmas!"

"Sup, what do you want?"

"Ayyy, don't be that cold. I'd even taken time out from my Christmas date with Sienna to call you!"

"Not interested. You're interrupting something, so if there's nothing, I'm going to hang up."

"Interrupting something?! Do you have a girl over? Oh my, you have a girl over, don't you?!"

This nosy motherfucker… Why does his brain always go in that direction?

"That's right, I have an exotic Spanish girl that's super hot over. I'm about to devour her, so do you mind?"

"OHOHO! My little Desir is finally climbing the stairs to adulthood at twenty-six! I knew that this day would come! Wait… Spanish?"

"Right, want to meet her?" I spun the front camera of my phone around and pointed it to the paella dish on the table. I allowed Len to take a few seconds to admire my cooking before turning the camera back around. "Quite the beauty, isn't she?"

Len pouted: "Not what I'd expected, but she really is a beauty. Hey, can I eat her as well?"

"If you can somehow teleport back, I wouldn't mind letting you taste some."

"How cruel! You know that I can't do that! Damn, it really looks delicious, though. Far better than the food I had. Urghhh, I'd known that we would go into lockdowns, I wouldn't have agreed to come here..."

I could sense that our conversation would take some time, so I repositioned my phone and laid it against a tissue box. I sat back down on the coffee table and took one bite of my mouth-watering paella. I couldn't help it. I was just that hungry.

"Are you tempting me?" Len scoffed from the other side of the phone.

"No, no. This is my first meal of the day, so I couldn't resist. Anyway, tell me, what's going on?"

"There's nothing to do here, of course! We had an itinerary for travelling to ski resorts or relaxing in the hot springs, but it was all cancelled because of the lockdowns! So now I have to spend every day at Sienna's old house."

"With your in-laws?"

"They're not my in-laws yet, but yeah..." Len dropped his shoulders and hunched backwards. It was as if he had been walking on eggshells the entire time, and it was finally time for him to relax.

"Visiting Sienna's parents is fine and all, but after a day, things become awkward. There's a limit to how much we can converse about being a generation apart. Have you ever had a conversation where someone would repeat the same question thirty seconds apart?"

"No..."

"That happened just now! Sienna's mother asked me about my parent's health, twice in thirty seconds! It was super awkward!"

"Wow… Sounds tough..."

I kept my ears open as I continued to gobble down my delicious paella. 

"Yeah, it's just unlucky timing. If not for the pandemic, I could have been skiing on the hills or soaking in a mineral-rich hot spring. Ah, the misfortune..."

"You know that people are dying from the pandemic, right? It makes sense for the government to close down businesses for a while to curb the spread of the virus."

"I know that. I'm just complaining for the sake of it. I'm not actually mad that they closed the places down for safety reasons." Len stuck his tongue out in defiance. He might be a little loose with his words, but Len was mature enough to understand the current situation.

"Anyway, that's enough about me. What's going on with you? How's your first Christmas without us faring?"

"Going perfect, as you can see," I lifted my spoon filled with paella up. "Delicious food, warm house with electricity and healthy as can be. My Christmas couldn't be any better."

"No, it would be a hundred times better if I was there!"

"Yeah… It would be..."

"Hey, what's with that tone?!"

The two of us continued to joke around for a few more minutes. Len was trying to relieve some stress after staying with Sienna's parents for so long. At the same time, I was happy to have a face-to-face conversation, even if it was via the phone.

"Alright, I'll get out of your hair. Remember to cook me some paella when I get back."

"Okay, stay safe."

The call ended, and was I able to finish my delectable meal unimpeded. I don't know whether it was the ingredients or was my cooking really that good, but I rated that seafood paella dish a nine out of ten. It was truly one of the best things that I'd made in a long time. 

After cleaning up the mess I'd made, I continued watching the drama that I was binging with, continuously sipping on my self-made eggnog. 

It was a simple luxury, and it was bliss.

So what if I was alone on Christmas? I was one of the more fortunate ones.

I still had a job during this period of peril. I had the money to make a delicious meal for myself. I had a warm home that I could binge-watch shows in. It was a perfect life, in my opinion.

And it was just about to get a little bit better.

"Ah, it's snowing..."

Just as the pretty news lady forecasted, white fluffy cotton balls dropped down from the heavens. The snowflakes swung down with no specific direction, like feathers floating in the wind. They eventually rested on my balcony window before immediately melting away, as if they were a fleeting dream.

Seeing the snow, I repositioned myself closer to the balcony. If I were a kid, I would have opened the sliding door and attempted to play in the snow. Alas, I was more fond of the warmth of my home than ephemeral snow. 

Placing my back against the cool glass, I took a picture to send to Len and Sienna. Combined with the paella I'd made, I had plenty of good pictures to post on social media as well. 

A snowy Christmas, huh? A beautiful day during a period of uncertainty. 

"Ah, there was that story that mom used to say."

Back when I was young, mom used to tell me many bedtime stories. Some of them were fairy tales; others were her originals. There were so many that I had trouble remembering them all. However, I did know one story that centred around a snowy Christmas.

Every Christmas Eve, Santa Claus would lead his sleigh of reindeers to deliver gifts to young children. However, on one snowy Christmas, the blizzard was too strong for Santa to navigate. So, he used his youngest and bravest reindeer, mocked for a shining red nose, to lead the way.

"The Tale of the Red-Nosed Reindeer..."

Haha, it was a nostalgic story. When I was still an innocent child who believed in Santa, I would worry about Santa losing his way in the snow. Mom would reassure me that even if there was a blizzard, as long as I was a good boy, the Red-Nosed Reindeer would find me.

Naturally, I didn't believe in such fairy tales anymore. Still, it was a pleasant memory from the past.

I watched silently as the snow continued to fall unobstructed from the heavens. It really was a beautiful scene. Watching the snow mix up with the luminous city lights. Everything looked so ethereal and yet… so lonely.

And as if the heavens had heard my call…

BANG!!!

A loud thump could be heard from my front door. I broke free from my delusions and immediately snapped my head towards the entrance. 

"Is someone there?"

At this time, there weren't many people who would be at my door. Neither could it be the wind since my front door was electronically locked. Perplexed by the source of the noise, I walked over to my door and carefully opened it up. 

And then, I saw it…

The horrifying sight of a young woman lying right outside my apartment.

After a worldwide pandemic strikes his town, Desir Snow was forced to work from home in the safety of his one-room apartment. In the beginning, everything was good for the twenty-six-year-old computer programmer. A natural loner, Desir relished in the confined life. He no longer needed to socialise, his meddlesome friend was banned from visiting, and Desir could enjoy the things he loved the most.

However, when his beautiful next-door neighbour collapsed right in front of his door a week into the lockdowns, Desir’s life was flung into a direction that he could never have imagined.

Marcus glanced at Cally in the backseat. She appeared lost in thought. "Cally." She looked up at him and focused, "Hmm?" "How did Sarah in archives get the story so wrong about you and the 𝘠𝘢𝘯𝘢?" Before she could answer, Collin piped up, "Ah I know this! If I may Madam?" Cally nodded and leaned back into the seat again closing her eyes. "Marta came through this area when it was still under Spanish control. So the language used here was Castilian. Other than my tribe of the 𝘠𝘢𝘯𝘢, the language is extinct. Things get lost in translation. Also to be able to claim kinship to the Wotan clan; how awesome is that?" Collin concentrated on driving for a moment, "Marcus you know the Grimm's fairy tales?" "Of course." "Some of it is based on fact. It is changed to make a good story, or the people who knew the details died out or it is lost over time." Marcus nodded and then began to wonder which Grimm's fairy tale the Wotan centered in.

Arriving back to guild hall Cally thanked Collin for the drive and started into the building. Marcus had an apartment off of his offices So he followed behind. "Cally are we going to say anything to each other about what happened in the woods earlier?" "Are you following me again?" she said as she looked over her shoulder with a bewitching smile. "I live here also." Her smile got bigger," Oh how wonderfully convenient." Her head tilted, she thought a second and replied, "Stolen kisses have the sweetest taste. Goodnight Marcus!" And with that she was gone.

The next few days were extremely hectic for Marcus and his security team and of course the rest of Clan Home management. Wolves were arriving from around the globe. The clan homes of the different delegates were bursting at the seams. Guild hall was full. Every build was full and still wolves came. The town of Battery Point's available rooms had been taken up. All of this was a very difficult juggling act for Marcus. Not all pacts or clans got along and then there was a language barrier to many. The Chinese wolves didn't like the Japanese wolves. The Russian wolves didn't like anybody. But Marcus discovered the morning after Cally arrived that he had a special weapon to control all these wolves. If the arriving wolves didn't ask, a casual mention of the Wotan being home was made.

Marcus and his men discovered this ninja tool the next morning in the dining hall when a group of Middle Eastern wolves were upset with Russian wolves over a perceived slight. It might have been the proximity to a  non related female or table manners involved in eating bacon. No one was sure by the time Marcus arrived. One raving wolf was not a problem, but a room full was more than his team could handle quickly without injury. Marcus was disgusted. These people were here to pay last respects and were having a violent food fight; that was turning bloody. Cally walked in wearing pink pajamas and bunny slippers. What stood out the most in his mind's eye was the giant white bunny slippers with googly eyes. Her hair hadn't been brushed and she was still yawning. 

"Shut up. Jeez, people are trying to sleep." Total silence followed. She hadn't raised her voice. And it was dead silent. Cally then walked over and sat at a still upright table. She pointed to people and demanded them to bring her food. She pointed to the largest man in the room and in perfect Russian said "You, bring me fried eggs with kolbasa." To another man with a long beard she said in Arabic "You bring me falafel, labneh with olive oil and green olives." Then she pointed to someone who was laying on the floor, she asked, "Are you dying? If not I want bacon."

"Mistress, the kitchens did not make these foods." replied the Russian bear. " Did I ask you to bring me cafeteria food? Did I say how to make these foods?" Her voice got quieter and more menacing as she spoke. "Bring me MY BREAKFAST! And clean this mess up! Move!" Everyone scrambled to comply. Everyone except Marcus. He walked over to Cally, "Thank you." She took her eyes off the busy little ants and smiled at Marcus. "You may repay me with a glass of milk, please." He smirked, everyone was ordered except him. As he collected coffee and milk he noticed his security team scrambling to clean. "Jason, what are you doing?" Jason was his lead man. he was also the lead from the day before who dealt with the pile of Red Cliffs clan people. "Boss, the little Lady said clean. I, I have to clean!" he then scurried away with broken plates.

Marcus avoided the dozens of rushing people desperately trying to follow orders and carried Cally her milk. He sat with her and took a sip of his coffee. "Why did your words affect everyone but me?"She was smiling and drinking her milk, of course she would have a milk mustache. "Marcus this is complicated. Hmm, You are a boy and I am a girl..." "Cally I am being serious." "Of course you are. Sigh* how about this, I am the Alpha and Omega of werewolves. And you are the stud I want to date."

She is the strongest, the oldest, the Supreme Alpha wolf. And she was born yesterday. She has lived many lives and had too many names. Her loved ones have come and gone several times. It is best if she temporarily forgets.         
    After too  many centuries were-wolves lose their humanity. They become nothing more than ravenous beasts that must be destroyed to protect  humans and weres alike.    She is the answer. Now she is going home, the world has changed on her again. She must adapt and she must learn to lead her people through this crazy new world and she may even find her chance to love one last time.
