Everyone knows fairy tales, they are read to us as children. Every fairy tale has a happy ending, or at least our versions do. This isn't an ordinary fairy tale, there is no 'happy ending', only lies and stories that make us believe there is. Follow the story of four teens that were about to start a war.

This poem is about a fairy tale,
Except, I get to write the ending, I get to pick the heading,
So this tale has no Fictional Creatures with tails,
This tale though, it entails
details of true Love,

You see,
A poet, Fell in love with a Singer,
Theirs, was a love at first sight,
From there;
They had countless sleepless nights,
Nights of sweet nothing's,
They couldn't find dreams,Cuz they were dreaming outloud,
Even if they were far much apart, distance couldn't match  the Love, they had for each other,
You see,
Their souls were intertwined,or
should I say;

They became Soulmates,
At some Point when one breath in;

A long time ago, there lived a powerful witch with his white magic that no one can beat his power. He even can control whole energy were created the world. But unfortunately, he just a kid with great talent. The witch not living alone, he was with his two brothers deep in a protected forest, far from civilization. In there, they studied any kind of magic from a legend Lighter that takes care of them since they just a child, the Light Bearer.
Each brother has their own uniqueness like the older brother that could control the whole world energy with his white magic, the first young brother that expert in farming have a magic skill to concocting herbal medicine were very effective for injury and any kind of sickness, while the youngest brother is animals lover were could using his magic skill to tame any kind of animals and others creatures, except human and creatures with intelligent above him. Although both young brothers didn't have a pure white magic talent like the older brother, they aren't giving up to studied magic. They are hand in hand to compare their own deficiency.
However, the Lighter realized that only the older brother who can control the energy world nicely. Then he gave the last magic that he had and told him to be an only his next Lighter and to be the last for ever as was told by the Lighter before him. No one human will born again like them.
One day, the first young brother who full of envy didn't accept the Lighter decision. He shouted, "I will be more powerful than older brother!" And he was gone leaving them. No one followed him because the Lighter told them not to. "Let your brother calming down himself. He will back."
As the Lighter said, first young brother coming back. The older brother who worried greet him with hugs, but how surprised him got a jab in his belly, and he fell down under first young brother's feet. The Lighter realized his mistakes, first young brother was controlled by Shade who eating his negative feels. Unfortunately, he couldn't fight because he was given his last magic to the older brother.
There is just youngest brother left, cowering in fear. There is no other way except forcing took nature energy that would kill him. So, the Lighter gave his life, worried the older brother will be controlled by the first young brother, caging the whole white magic in the world into a crystal, and give it to the youngest brother. The last, he gives the last Light in him. "Go." And the Lighter died.
Known that no one can control the magic, youngest brother going leave the Lighter, hiding deeper into a forest which never touched, where unnamed creatures live in peace.
Years by years have passed. The first brother, in Shader control, build his own castle right were they born and grow up together. He recruited dark creatures, made a legion to attack the youngest brother that succeed run away into deeper forest.
But the youngest brother didn't just sit down while realized what the first brother did. The youngest brother finally tamed unnamed creatures with his skill, expelled first brother and many dark creatures, caging them in the Light that the Lighter gave, which he knew as soon as possible without the Lighter, it's will fade as long as time passed away.
Unfortunately, the youngest brother got his older brother was died in his prison, with poison fulfill his mouth. In saddest and frustrated, he realized not all dark creatures was he caught up. The dark creatures under Shader command who was run away making tragedy anywhere they were, trying to find a way to free their Master in Light cage.
Then the youngest brother standing right away from his sadness to stop them, searching for someone who can use the crystal with hoping maybe the Creator would send someone to destroy the Shader, but ended with hopeless. No one can, no one even after many years passed from his search in worried of the Light that getting more fade away.
That's the time, youngest brother who was hopeless throw away the crystal, which rolling and catches up by his pet with his tooth. A little light seems behind his mouth. The youngest brother finally had hope again. He did the experiment in the same way to other creatures but failed. No other creatures even himself can make that light shining again as his pet did. He realized only his pet who was can do but didn't have the intelligence to fight back Shader.
An impossible thought was blinked in his head, for give an intelligent to his pet, he held the biggest contest to whom would be participated in his experiment with great rewards. No one wants except a poor family that pushed their child. "Our child will." There his mother said.
And the youngest brother took him. Doing an experiment for experiment with his skill that more grown, until he got his pet had intelligent and a look like a human which sacrifice the child. His heart hurts known what his done is an evil, but he didn't have other choices for destroying the Shader and dark creatures to destroy his world.
Before he sent him, the youngest brother teaches him any kind of skill that would he need, established him as his personal knight, giving a quest to kill other rest dark creatures. Many times he tested him to make the magic inside the crystal working even just for a little light if he bites it, but the youngest brother still optimistic for the success as long the magic still works. Until finally, the last quest came to destroy the Shader.
Youngest brother took him, put him into Light cage, waiting hopefully that his knight who he creates would control the magic inside the crystal and destroy the Shade.
The dazzling light blind him, in time with the Shader lost his exist. The youngest brother was very happy, he opened the cage were nothing Shader there and other dark creatures, and first brother too. But the youngest brother couldn't find his knight, there was only the piece of crystal that he seems. The sadness abounds him. He never expected the white magic inside the crystal would kill him too.
But because of his sacrifice, the world back into peace without the Shader who frighten them.

Sometimes I just wonder, what the hell happened on that faithful day. It was no different from any other afternoon really- the street was as busy as always, bustling with life. Well, there was one exception. Books. books were scattered all across the streets ranging from thin paper backs to thick hardcovers. As if that wasn't odd enough the scent of gunpowder was heavy in the air, as if someone had accidentally spilled metric tons of black powder onto the streets.
Naturally some people were intrigued by it, some were scared and some, well, some went there just to take pictures of this bizarre phenomenon. I was no different to be honest, I was extremely fond of reading back then, can't say I still am but that's besides the point.
Me, like the book worm I am, decided that I want to read them. I fumbled through some of the book piles and interestingly all books have one similarity: Fairy Tales, the books were all bed time stories you usually hear when you were little.
That didn't stop me from trying to read the though, if anything that just made me more interested in those books, since they were the ones that got me interested in reading in the first place. Slowly flipping through the pages it dawned on me that the sentences were all jumbled up, as if it was a deranged person's rambling.
What was more stranger was that there were weapon schematics within them ranging from swords, spears, guns and a cannon of all things. There was one book where it even contained a schematic of a nuke, a nuke! Anyways where was I? Oh right.
Like I was saying earlier, the books was far from what we had read during our childhood. If anything they felt like a fanfic written by a illiterate emo teen back in the days.
The sentences were jumbled but try hard enough and you'll find out that the content of the book is a bit different from the ones you've probably read or heard in your childhood, they differ from book to book but all contain the same message of the numbing disparity between living and dying, pretty morbid stuff if ya ask me.
Nowadays, people don't really remember what happened back then since most of the people that did witness what happened that day were either killed, eaten, or 6 feet under after getting dragged by mythological creatures. Oh yeah, did I mention creatures from folk lore also came along the fairy tale creatures? Yeah they came along side with them.
Anyways like I said people died, a lot of people died, so much so that nearly all of the human population got wiped off the face of the earth. But of course like any other times humanity almost went extinct because of our quick adaptation we manage to find a way to survive.
Through some scientific tomfoolery they managed to create weapons from the remains of both the fairy tale and folk lore monster's remains. And with that humans get to live for another day.
 Well, the world mostly fell into ruins anyways, and there are monsters that want you dead so there's really no point in living.
It's been like what? 70? 80 something years since the incident happened and now? Most of the world is still a wasteland, either a concrete jungle, a desert or a literal forest. But humans have set up settlements by now, some of them even manage to turn their settlements into a capital.
...
Oh, do you need something? Ah you're wondering how I know all of this stuff even though I look like someone who was only born few years earlier than you right? Well I'll tell ya, this is gonna be fun.

Fairy Tales, bed time stories with happy endings. Folk Lore, bed time stories about fantastical creatures from mystical lands. And gunpowder, accidental marvel of the past, now used in combat. Mix them together and add some gore and you got monsters that want nothing but to kill you, eat you or turn you into their mindless slave.

With a wave of tremble, the Wuling Hong Guang drove up to the sidewalk and stopped in front of the pet shop.
The door opened and Zhang Zian got off the car.　　
The chic ladies glanced at him while they passed by, then covered their noses in disgust and kept a distance from his car.　　
Despite the fact that he didn't specialize in the seafood business, he drove to the beach each day, and often took rare marine creatures, such as fish, shrimp, and crabs, back. He could not wash the containers in the car everyday, so after some time, the car inevitably smelled like fish.　　
Wang Qian and Li Kun greeted him, and carried the new marine creatures into the aquarium. They sorted them and put them into different quarantine tanks so that they could adapt to the new environment.　　
Zhang Zian walked into the shop. The cleaning job was almost done, so he didn't have much to do. He took the underwater loudspeaker battery upstairs to charge.　　
He met Old Time Tea on the stairs. He hinted Old Time Tea and asked gently, "How is it?"　　
Old Time Tea smiled gently. "Everything is under your expectations."　　
The man and the cat looked at each other and smiled.　　
"Quack! What are you talking about in secret? What are you hiding from me?" Richard had sharply sensed the unusual atmosphere while it flew by. 　　
"Right. We are discussing you behind your back––specifically plucking your feather and making you into a stew," Zhang Zian threatened. "After you become stew, the world will be quiet."　　
"Quack! My meat is old and dry––it wouldn't taste good in a stew. I suggest you pick another bird!" Richard flew away quickly.　　
Old Time Tea walked downstairs slowly for the television, while Zhang Zian headed upstairs to wash his hands. They carried a fishy smell after they were soaked in the sea. He could still feel some fine, sea salt granules after his hands were dry. 　　
As soon as he entered the bathroom, he saw Sihwa hide something in a hurry.　　
He pretended not to see it. After turning on the tap, he asked, "Why aren't you broadcasting today?"　　
Sihwa was angry and humiliated after hearing his question. "Today… I'm not in the mood today! I don't want to broadcast!"　　
"Okay. It's nice to take a day off sometimes." Zhang Zian wiped his hands, then left the bathroom.　　
"Wait a moment!" Sihwa shouted behind him.　　
"What is it?" Zhang Zian stopped.　　
"Emm… This… Emm… That…" she stuttered. Her pale face turned red because she needed his help. After stammering for a long time, she took out a book from under a towel. "I can't read. What can I do?" she asked, troubled. "I know a few Korean words, but not any Chinese words…"　　
She could play with the phone, as the phone functions were simple––as long as she remembered the icons. She could make guesses on others, or ask Zhang Zian if it was too hard to guess. However, reading a book full of Chinese characters was mission impossible to her.　　
In fact, she had learned a few Chinese words since she had arrived in China. But she had learned them mechanically; she didn't have any formal, systemic teaching.
"You must be laughing at me, aren't you? You absolutely are!" She pointed at his face in fury before Zhang Zian had even said anything. She was almost embarrassed to tears.
"I'm not laughing at you. It's normal to be illiterate. Nobody is born literate." Zhang Zian shrugged. "Otherwise, they'd be a freak."　　
After hearing his words, Sihwa's mood calmed down a little.　　
"Well… Is there anything you can do to make me literate?" she asked, lowering her head.　　
"Yes. Lend me your phone for a moment." Zhang Zian took her phone and downloaded a few early childhood education apps from the app store. They were all basic-level, but entertaining word learning apps nonetheless; he started with Pinyin, which had real people's voices. The apps were already quite developed, and the functions were complete.　　
He compared a few quickly, then left the most user-friendly one and deleted the rest.　
"Here you are. Follow this. You'll learn them soon." He gave the phone back to her.　　
"Wow! So childish!" She complained as soon as she saw the interface for young kids. "Are there any long-legged Oppas or big-boobed girls teaching the lessons?"　　
"Save it. I'd love to learn if these teachings existed!" Zhang Zian took up her book and flipped through it. The book from Old Time Tea was not suitable.　　
He returned the book to Pi, then found a few fairy tale books with pictures from his childhood book collection. Each character was marked with a Pinyin illustration.　　
"After you learn Pinyin, you can read these books. Just learn the words while reading the stories." He piled the books on the bathroom closet. "Oh, right––books are not waterproof. Dry your hands before you read them. These are books from my childhood. Most of them can't even be found these days."　　
"Books from your childhood?" Sihwa seemed skeptical. "Could there be… Any dirty content in them?"　　
"These are all fairy tales, okay?" Zhang Zian said with frustration. "What kind of person do you think I am? These are the books I read at the age of five or six. What kind of dirty content can there be?"　　
"Fairy tale books? I'm not interested… too childish." She shook her hands. "Let's get something dirty!"　　
Did this fish get contaminated by that bird? What was in her head all day?　　
"You are wrong. In fact, fairy tales are not necessarily childish," Zhang Zian said. "Even adults could interpret content differently sometimes."　　
"What do you mean? I don't understand." Sihwa grew slightly interested.　　
Zhang Zian thought about it, then made an example she could understand. "In fairy tales, you often read stories of Cinderella meeting the prince…"　　
"I know this! It happens a lot in Korean dramas, too!" Sihwa suddenly turned excited, as if she finally found someone with the same interests as her.　　
"Yes, right. That's why people often call Korean dramas 'fairy tales for adults.'" Zhang Zian suddenly changed his tone. "But have you ever given thought to the fact that, in the end of fairy tales and Korean dramas, the story stops where Cinderella marries the prince?"　　
She nodded in agreement.　　
"What about the story after?" Zhang Zian continued to ask.　　
"What story after? It's over!" She didn't understand.　　
"I mean, two people from completely different worlds… Are they really happy after marriage? The prince and Cinderella had completely different educations, family backgrounds, and growing experiences. After marrying the prince, Cinderella must have faced a truckload of royal relatives. Did they really respect and accept her? Did love really defeat all the challenges? Even if it did for a while, what happens after the passion dies out?"　　
Zhang Zian's series of questions made Sihwa astonished.　　
"The boring, everyday life of the world after marriage is never mentioned in fairy tales, nor in Korean dramas. They always end with the line that Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after. Although they didn't mention this, you can try to imagine, then tell your audience about your thoughts in the live broadcast. Isn't this great?"　　
Sihwa was drawn in gradually. In the past, she had never used her brain to watch dramas. She either laughed or cried as the story went along. She had never thought about the questions Zhang Zian had brought up.　　
"Would the audience like to hear this?" she asked.　　
"Of course," Zhang Zian said in certainty. "You can also try to make up sequels to fairy tales and tell everyone. You have such lovely voice. I'm sure people will like it."　　
"Really? I have lovely voice?" Her confidence was already shaken from one blow after another. She was no longer as arrogant as before. 　　
"It's absolutely lovely. I'm not joking. If you don't believe me, ask the other elfins," he said, suddenly feeling that his words might have been too mean in the past. 　　
"Oh… okay. But don't lie to me…" she mumbled gently as she picked up the fairy tale books.　　
"What are these?" She browsed through the covers one by one.　　
"They are all classic fairy tales written by great writers all over the world, such as fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen, Aesop's Fables, One Thousand and One Nights, Zhang Yuanjie's Fairy Tale Collection, etc. They'll last quite a while," Zhang Zian said, introducing them one by one.　　
"Oh." Her eyes glided through the colorful and entertaining covers. She saw a prince with a sword on a white horse, a grey wolf wearing a pajama hat, a little girl with a match stick in a snowy night, a tin man with big belly, a little duckling staring at the sky, a fox with a broken tail, an ugly toad, a mouse driving a tank… She also saw a little mermaid sitting on a rock, overlooking the sea. 　　
For some reason, the figure seemed so lonely.　　
Under an unrecognizable impulse, she opened up one of the books, even though she didn't know a single character in it.　　
"I can't read it…" she said in disappointment.　　
"It's fine. You'll understand it once you learn the characters." Zhang Zian encouraged her. "Be patient! These fairy tales may seem childish, but in fact, you can find non-childish stuff in it. As long as you read them with your whole heart, you'll surely discover something different… Then, you can share your thoughts boldly with your broadcast audience."　　
"Okay. Let me try." Sihwa looked at the fairy tale covers again. She was more eager to learn now than ever before.　　
She wanted to be able to read the fairy tales. She wanted to do what Zhang Zian described––to write sequels for the finished fairy tales. She was the only one who could do it, and who was qualified to do it.　　
She picked up her phone and entered the child education app, imitating the mouth and sound movements against the image on the screen.　　
"A… A… Bo… Bo… Ci… Ci… De… De…" she read off while peeping at Zhang Zian's facial expressions; she wanted to confirm that he was not laughing at her. She then continued reading boldly.　　
"It's fine. You can read loudly. Raise your head and straighten your back. Read every word boldly," Zhang Zian encouraged her.　　
"A… A… Bo… Bo… Ci… Ci… De… De…" she read even louder, like a baby learning to talk.
