"You were proposed too by the young mistress?" Ki Panglong raised an eyebrow, his sharp eyes darting over towards Sha Ku, questioning his words. Ki Li was the young mistress of the Ki Clan, daughter of the Patriarch! Why would she have proposed to Sha Ku?

"Haha, I think she did it as a joke," Sha Ku rubbed his neck, redraw, "Apparently she'd just come back from some other clan to the mountainous north. Something about getting rejected by some young master?!" Sha Ku grinned, and his face went bright red, his poker face was about to burst.

"Right…" Ki Panglong was certain this young boy was speaking half the truth and half a manipulative lie, taking another puff of his pipe he sighed, letting it go, "Well if the young miss proposed to you, you need to make yourself worthy of her…" Ki Panglong laughed, shaking his head.

"Listen, kiddos, it might take a while for your friends to come out of the trail. It's worth having a look around yourselves, you might find something you like!" He pulled out a white stone with a brightly glowing blue insignia in its middle.

"Also, my clan's poison arts are very slow to cultivate. It requires one to ingest a consortium of poisons, then to slowly over time mix them with our Qi. This way, our entire foundation is architected to produce massive amounts of toxins." Yu Shi explained carefully, very confident of the path he'd have to take.

"So… you want something that increases your Qi absorption rate, or at least a supplementary combat technique that you want to merge with your current martial arts?" Sha Ku conformed as they walked down a long cobblestone corridor labelled '5'.

Down the deep corridor, there was an archway, shielded by a liquid-like substance floating in the air, barring entry to the 5th-floor library.

"Precisely!" Yu Shi answered, looking at the obstacle in front of him, "How do you think we're meant to open this?" Yu Shi asked curious, looking at the wriggling liquid, in the archway.

"Pass the keystone here." Sha Ku asked, extending his hand.

"Here." Yu Shi placed it in his hand, curious of what Sha Ku's intentions.
Sha Ku walked up to the slippery sliver barrier, holding the keystone up and injecting tiny amounts of his Qi into the stone, "Open!" his voice was clear and calm, standing only a couple of inches from the door.

The barrier started to recede, illuminating the fully stacked old library behind.

Sha Ku waved his hand, indicating Yu Shi to follow.

The pair walked through the archway, scanning, and beholding its splendour.

"Wow, that's a lot of techniques…" Yu Shi mumbled, recollecting his family library, it wasn't even half the size of the fifth floor!

"Mmm. Right, we have no time to spare. We have to look about, see if there's anything good about." Sha Ku reminded him, not being bothered by the bookcase after bookcase of ancient tomes. This was something of an office library worth of books to him.

"I didn't ask what techniques are you looking for Sha Ku? You have your whole foundation ahead of you, you haven't even entered the Qi Sea Stage, have you?" Yu Shi spoke, knowing little of the depths of Sha Ku's knowledge of cultivation and the volumes upon volumes of cultivation literature that was stored within his mind.

Yu Shi knew he used some strange and profound movement technique, that was all he knew though. Well, that he had a fighting technique called, 'Void Breaking Arts', or something like that.

"I may not descend into the path of evil, at least not in the conventional sense, but there will inevitably be conflicting ideas between us—clashes that would have made our separation unavoidable."
He began to expel all emotions from his words, becoming lukewarmly composed with a hint of pensiveness. "I have always admired people who wield dominant strength and powers and are able to befriend anyone regardless of their beliefs and standpoints, but now I know: Separation is inexorable, friendship or kinship be damned. We will walk our own separate paths when the time comes, not because of good or evil but because of the ideas we choose to embody."
"What ideas were they?" Jiang Zhiwei directed the question at Meng Qi, certain he would know about it.
Meng Qi briefly relayed the visions that Qi Zhengyan had once expressed to him. By the end of his account, Jiang Zhiwei and Ruan Yushu had slumped into silence, fully comprehending the schism that had formed between their beliefs and Qi Zhengyan's. They both frowned, troubled by his heretical aspirations. They have no hate or anger towards him, but yet, they could find no way to accept his apostatic beliefs. They could only sigh in defeat!
Normally, one of mild age and experience such as they would never be able to fully comprehend the trials and tribulations that stood before one's realization of visions and dreams, but Qi Zhengyan's words had impressed upon them the struggle that he was willing to undertake.
Zhao Heng stared blankly into the air, betraying nothing of what he thought.
Qi Zhengyan's message had been paused by the Dominator when Meng Qi was explaining Qi Zhengyan's predicament to the others. It now resumed.
"We may have to fight each other in the future if we meet. I will give no quarter, and I expect you to do the same to me. As long as you remember to go to the grave and offer a prayer or two during Qingming, that will be good enough for me."
Meng Qi sighed. Sadness and distress rushed like waves over him together with the anguish of helplessness. Qi Zhengyan's words were delivered in a simple and ordinary tone that belied its cruel significance, making it harder to bear than even his future conflicts with Gu Xiaosang.
"Perhaps this is part of one's growing pains, to painfully accept the inevitable..." Meng Qi smiled bitterly to himself.
Qi Zhengyan sighed, and then his tone changed. The melancholy in his voice subsided as he continued, "There have been mentions of the relationship between He Who Fishes and He Who Is The Fish in the recollections of the Devil Lord. In previous eras, during the pre-ancient age, the many entities were inherent to the Realm of the Legends since their birth. This made them intrinsically different from mere mortals and demons. They had countless different projections of themselves— external personalities that existed in many other parallel worlds. This made them immortals. Existences that would never fade nor perish. However, as one era withers and another replaces it, the change in the environment of Nature caused rifts that gradually separated the external personalities from their actual forms, allowing them to slowly shape into separate existences themselves. Thus, even mortals and demons began to shape external projections of themselves although it is hard for them to notice the link between different worlds and dimensions.
"You must not only communicate with your parallel self which resides in the Shards of Cosmic Glow to achieve the Realm of the Legends, but you must also reach out to all your external personalities scattered in all other worlds and dimensions, assimilate their existences as part of your own, and return them all to you. Then you shall be a Legend: the Singular Existence across all worlds and dimensions.
"He Who Fishes is the actual existence of an entity or a person, while He Who Is The Fish is one of the many external personalities projected from the actual being."
Qi Zhengyan's voice faded, signifying the end of his message.
"The people of the Everlasting Tribes are actual existences of themselves, while I am an external personality projected on to Earth by an entity who is the One Who Fishes before I was drawn to this world?" Meng Qi began to understand the gist of the message. What about the "many worlds and dimensions"?
He tried hard to ponder on the words in the message, eager to pry any details that he might have missed, but there were still pieces missing from the puzzle. He turned to look at Jiang Zhiwei, Ruan Yushu and Zhao Heng, noticing the blank looks on their faces. Clearly, they knew nothing about the matter as well. With a few questions to his companions, Meng Qi found that the hardly knew more than he did about the connection between the actual world they were in and other worlds and dimensions.
"I have to return and ask my Teacher about this." Jiang Zhiwei remembered her teacher, Su Wuming, who was knowledgeable in such matters.
Hearing the name Su Wuming, Zhao Heng remembered Master Lu. He exhaled heavily and said, "To think that Master Lu has achieved such powers. What he did reminds me of the legendary entities we have read about in legends and fables."
"I believe there may be other secrets. Otherwise, the barbarians of the North and the evil folk would hardly dare emerge when he wielded such powers." Jiang Zhiwei replied, deeply interested in the Master Lu who was once named "The Greatest Swordsman under All Heavens." Her gaze drifted to Meng Qi, knowing that he would surely know more about him since it was he who had produced the wooden figurine.
Meng Qi smiled weakly, "I do not know much myself, but I have to go to Huamei Heights to thank him since it was his wooden figurine that saved us. I hope he will be able to resolve our questions."
However, he immediately thought of another complication. "Would this be considered disclosing the secrets of the World of Samsara?
"But we are still alive, would this not count?"
"Let us first exchange our spoils for Karma Points and then trade for information about our next task." Jiang Zhiwei said hastily, repressing her curiosity.
Zhao Heng removed a huge double-handed sword. It was the one that had thrown Jiang Zhiwei off her feet. "Du Gushi threw it and it fell near one of the boats, so I kept it."
"Good." Meng Qi exhaled and set aside his thoughts and doubts about Qi Zhengyan's explanation about the One Who Fishes and One Who Was The Fish. From his bag, he took out the Divine Lord of Plenitude and Miao Cong's Precious Weapons and Space Ring.
Jiang Zhiwei glanced at the items. "The first few items are the bounty you reaped when you slew the Lord of Shadows, right? They should be yours alone since you did it by yourself."
Miao Cong was killed by Meng Qi and Qi Zhengyan together when Jiang Zhiwei and the others were keeping the assassin at bay. Hence, his items would be equally divided.
Unfortunately, the assassin had brought hardly anything with him so that he could easily escape, and his Precious Weapon was destroyed by Meng Qi's Saber of the Shattered Jade during their skirmish.
Without saying much, Meng Qi exchanged the items of the Divine Lord of Plenitude for 7,800 Karma Points, the Space Ring, healing elixirs and the Precious Weapons of Miao Cong for 15,500 Karma Points, and the double-handed sword of Du Gushi for 5,000 Karma Points. The sum was divided among them so that each of them received 5,125 Karma Points. With the 3,100 Points and 6,000 Points returned to him by Ruan Yushu and Zhao Heng respectively, Meng Qi's total rose to 39,915 Karma Points.
Jiang Zhiwei had 16,625 Points, Ruan Yushu 13,525 Points, and Zhao Heng had 10,925 Points.
"I plan to exchange for more time and a Reincarnation Charm to be used together for my training. I want to try for the First Celestial Ladder." Zhao Heng was the first to speak.
They could, at most, exchange for a year's time to be used in conjunction with the period accorded by a Reincarnation Charm.
Meng Qi looked at the Reincarnation Charm and remembered the Apotheosized World. The "treasures" left in the Jade Virtual Palace that Yang Jian had told him about appeared in his mind, but he did not intend to go now. Not only was the Jade Virtual Palace still mysteriously hidden from sight, but the Palace was also constantly watched by many powerful enemies. A hasty venture there without the Realm of a Grandmaster could put him in greater danger than his most recent Death Task. It would be safer if he first improved his powers and invited Primogenitor Lingbao to go with him. However, he would not be able to enlist the help of the leader of The Immortals if he were to enter the Apotheosized World for more than a year to train. Duke Huan alone would hardly be sufficient to help him.
Yang Jian's message had left greatly anticipating a visit to the Jade Virtual Palace, but there was no such thing as being too cautious.
"Still a bit short of 40,000 Karma Points." Meng Qi frowned.
"Forty thousand Karma Points? Do you intend to exchange for the second volume of the Muscle-bone Strengthening Scripture?" Jiang Zhiwei's head turned as soon as she heard his murmur.

From the sanctum of the Shaolin Temple, Meng Qi's adventures and struggles through the Samsara begin as we follow his climb to claim the title of "the Unrivaled and the Invincible One"!


“Roughly between three and four,” Jing said. “The survivors in our base are about 2 now, meaning they are about two times stronger than they used to be. Some individuals have reached 8. Their physical conditions are even better than the huge wolfhound that we ran into.”
“I am wondering if those people have special abilities.” Chang said while he casually rubbed the tangy grass paste onto his exposed skin.
“I don’t think so. Mr. Li was talking about this few days ago; he said the correlation between physical strength improvement and acquiring special abilities is almost nonexistent. Some of the people significantly improved their physical strength, but did not acquire special abilities like what I have. For example, me and Mr. Li have special abilities, but our physical strength is pretty average.” Jing smiled, “You are lucky that not only your physical strength improved but you also acquired a special ability.”
“True, maybe that’s why it was easier for me to get food. Alright, cheer up! Let’s get something new today.” Chang chuckled and stopped the discussion, Jing closed her eyes and started to probe the surroundings.
When Chang entered his hunting mode, his mind was highly concentrated and the sound of his footsteps became unnoticeable. The pores on his skin were closed through involuntary contraction, helping him to hide his scent. The experience these days had allowed him to adapt to rhythm of hunting, and his body also responded to such adaptation by enhancing the strength of certain muscles.
“The reason why giraffes have long necks is because its ancestors wanted to reach to the leaves on tall trees; individuals with long necks survived in the difficult times and such genes were passed onto their offspring.” This was a Lamarckism explanation before Darwin’s evolutionary theory.
Before the red fog, if a species wanted to change their trait or physical structure, they needed to go through several generations of eliminations before the effect could be shown; it was an extremely slow process. However, the red fog seemed to be a catalyst for evolution. If an individual wanted to reach the “leaves on a tall tree”, genetically, the barrier of evolution had to be broken. An individual could not evolve on its own. In this era, the speed of evolution was incredibly and unbelievably fast – this was truly a splendid era for living organisms on this planet.
Chang sneaked between the gaps of the grass bush almost soundlessly; he was like a ghost hunter wandering in for food and prey.
The morning had passed before they realized; there were 7 times that they almost initiated the hunt, but the prey was either too powerful for them or it was a large group of gregarious insects. They were not ideal targets—until the last time.
“Chang, there is a level 5 lone animal, about 110 meters to our 2 o’clock.”
“5?” Chang stopped searching, “We can give it a try.”
“If you can sneak attack it, we’ll have a chance.” Jing nodded. “But you have to be careful, you are not an equal match for it if you directly confront with it.”
“Don’t worry.” The two had been hunting together for more than a week, Jing learned how cautious Chang was, she no longer discouraged him very often like she used to do.
Upon detecting this living organism, her job was done, she jumped off from Chang’s back and hid herself in the lush grass – in terms of lurking and fighting, she was not helpful at all.
Therefore, Jing would ensure her own safety before Chang left for the prey – not getting into trouble was the most helpful thing she could do for Chang in this stage.
Jing curled up in the grass and wrapped her tiny body with two pieces of giant leaves, she slowed down her breath and watched Chang remove his shoes before he slowly moved forward.
From downwind, Chang lurked like a cat. His bare feet made no sounds while he moved, and he leaned forward to ensure the direction of the wind was correct as he entered his hunting zone.
While he marched forward, he locked a bolt into his crossbow, and adjusted his position so that he was at the downwind direction all the way to the front of the prey. Without Jing, he took a while to find the organism that she was talking about, after a few hundred meters of finding and keeping up with the wind direction; he crouched in the grass and finally, saw the prey he had been looking for – a bullfrog.
Yes, a bullfrog.
It was not a normal bullfrog in his understanding, it was a bullfrog the size of a bull. The skin was grayish green and it had a pair of huge eyes. The bullfrog kept puffing its cheek and blew out the air with a steady rhythm. It looked like a frog he knew but somehow it was different.
Except for its size, there were also rhino-horn-like keratin tissue sprouting from its back. They were distributed evenly as if it was wearing a suit of armour; it appeared to have a strong resistance to external attacks.
“This is going to be thorny…” Chang clenched the crossbow and calculated the chance he could succeed. “I have a weapon and I may be able to make a sneak attack, but its index is one level higher than me. That is to say, if my first attack cannot cause significant harm to it, I will fail the hunt.”
Facing one that was slightly stronger than him, he needed to make sure the first attempt was his best shot, otherwise the bullfrog could swallow him with ease, or even worse, the bullfrog might just jump away before he even tried. Therefore, Chang was more attentive and alert than usual.
He carefully searched for the weak spot on the bullfrog but there weren’t any obvious ones – the keratin tissue covered its whole body, and the thickness of the tissue made it hard to penetrate even if he had a crossbow.
It seemed like only the mandible and the eyes were the spots where a bolt could cause useful harm. Chang stared at its watery eyes and he made up his mind.
“Should I try shooting bolt into it eye? It could be a fatal attack!” Chang moved forward with light footsteps while he was thinking. “Its static vision is not as perfect as dynamic vision, and frogs can’t smell; if I approach it slow enough, it won’t notice me.”
Step by step, Chang was confident about his plan, he spent quite a while aiming at its eye. After double checking, he pulled the trigger. The long bolt turned into a black shadow, flying through the fog and going straight to that moist and bright spot.
Whoosh!
The bolt was so fast that Chang’ dynamic vision only captured a touch of black light, and the red fog merged together again.
And because the bolt was so fast, within a blink of an eye, it flew right to the giant frog eye. While Chang was delighted by his accurate aiming, the giant frog opened its mouth suddenly and the tongue popped out swiftly, it precisely slapped on the black shadow.
Chang was petrified.
He didn’t know how fast the bolt was, nor the speed of its tongue. The one thing he could conclude was that the scarlet tongue had successfully intercepted the flying bolt; although the bolt was powerful enough for the tongue to knock it, the direction of the bolt had changed.
Puff!
The tilted bolt made a deep slice on the giant frog’s tongue and then deeply stuck into the keratin tissue on its forehead, causing the bullfrog to croak painfully.


Five hundred million years ago, an epoch of extraordinarily fast evolution and mutation took place. It is said that all ancestors of today’s species on Earth derive from those that appeared in the “Cambrian Period”. 

Unfortunately, nothing gold can stay. After the brief “Cambrian Period”, life on Earth entered a period of stagnation. Humans came out on top, becoming the most powerful species on Earth.

A second age has come.

During the first “Cambrian Period” humanity was kicked off of the throne of the food chain quickly. Now, during the second “Cambrian Period”, what will happen to humanity?

The real end of the world is not the tale of brainless zombies. 

It is paradise.

Chapter 1: The Beginning:

In a place full of darkness, a pitiful soul starts to regain its consciousness.

'Where am I??? I was just walking along the streets when I saw a truck speeding toward a little girl. So, I immediately ran toward her and pushed her out of the way in exchange for getting hit straight in the face. I guess I died then... that explains why I'm here.' thought Alex

Alex was a 20 years old normal college student. He led a very normal and boring life. Studies, part-time work, and sleep; that was his daily life. The only solace he found in his boring life was anime, novels, and manga. He always wished to be born in a fantasy world like different anime and novels he read.

'Now that I reflect back on my life, I lived a pretty boring life huh... The only regret I have left is not properly saying goodbye to my parents... I guess they're pretty heartbroken.. *sighs* I just hope my brother console them to live a normal life.' thought Alex with a long sigh.

Suddenly, a bright light arrives near Alex. It starts morphing into the shape of a human girl with blonde hair and green eyes. Her figure is too bright to properly look at but he can tell by a glance that she has an extremely attractive figure.

"Welcome mortal to the realm of the dead! Also, congratulation on being our 1 trillionth soul to die. Therefore, the Gods above have decided to give you a chance to reincarnate with your memories intact and in addition grant you 5 wishes. So, if you have any questions, then ask now." said the girl.

"So I really died then *sighs*... First of all, can I return back to my world?" asked Alex.

"No, you can't in that world. It will disturb the natural order of life and death in that world." answered the girl.

"In that world??? You mean there are more worlds out there?" asked Alex curiously.

"Yes, there are uncountable different worlds out there in the multiverse. For example, the anime and novels you watched/read are the real worlds and it exists in the multiverse. So, hurry up and decide what you want. I don't have a lot of time to waste on you." replied the girl impatiently.

"Okay, okay... Geez, don't be so impatient. At least, give me 5 min to decide what I want." said Alex.

"Okay. Just hurry up! I need to attend my duties.." replied the girl.

After 5 min...
--------------

"Okay, I've decided what I want to do. First I want to reincarnate in the world of Fairy Tail the same age as Mirajane.

My first wish is to have an immortal and indestructible soul. So, that I can never truly die.

My second wish is to have no growth limit/bottleneck. I don't need any external help to grow stronger just old fashioned training harder.

My third wish is to have the ability to go to different anime, manga and novel worlds.

My fourth wish is fiction adaptation ability to use abilities from different worlds.

My fifth wish to have a world inside my soul where I can train and keep my wives there when I go to a new world." said Alex with excitement. Who doesn't want to have a harem when traveling in the multiverse.

"Okay, let me check if Gods approve your wish or not." said the girl.

After 10 min...

"Okay. Congratulations the Gods above approve your wish. And, if you want to travel to the next world then you have to become the strongest in that world or die. You can transmigrate if you become the strongest but, remember you will be reborn in the new world if you die there. So you will have to work to be the strongest again if you die. As you keep traveling new worlds, your soul will keep getting stronger so you will have an easy time getting strong. Best of luck with your travel! As a bonus I'll let you choose which magic you wish to learn in the fairy tail world." said the girl.
 
"Thank you for the bonus. I choose to learn the genuine sky god slayer magic from a real god and have access to godforce mode if possible," replied Alex hopefully.

I truly feel that the Sky God/Dragon Slayer is overpowered. Air is everywhere in the world and if you just suck all the oxygen in the air then the enemy won't even have any chance to retaliate and die suffocating. I chose Sky God Slayer magic because I can use it to heal myself. Definitely not because of the motion sickness...

"Hmm... Okay, then I'll send you to the Sky Goddess for learning her magic. Now, choose your appearance then get going." said the girl.

Then, suddenly a screen appeared in from of Alex with the option to edit his appearance like RPG game. After spending 20 mins editing, he looks like Sosuke Aizen from Bleach with 6'1 height. He made his little brother 9 inches long and wide enough girth to satisfy his harem in the future. After finalizing everything he clicked the Ok button. Then, suddenly a portal appears and sucked him inside it.

"Finally, he left. Now, I can enjoy my vacation for another 100 years." said the girl as she disappeared from the spot.

Somewhere in the Earthland

Sky Goddess Aura was walking in the forest enjoying her vacation in the mortal world. When suddenly a portal opened near her and a cute baby boy in a basket appeared in her sight. Being curious about the identity of the child, she approached near the child and carried it. 

'Hmmm... Who is so irresponsible to send a child through the space portal. Hmm... there is a name tag in the basket. Aizen huh... Okay, it may be our fate to meet here. I'll adopt you as my own child.' thought Aura.

Suddenly, the baby opened its eyes and started crying loudly.

Aura carried the baby and hold it near her bosoms to stop its crying. It eased the baby as it looked directly toward her. You can see intellect in those eyes that are curiously studying her.

"Hmmm... Guess from now on, you will be named as Aizen Strom - son of the Sky Goddess Aura. I will teach you all that I can till I leave my dear son." said Aura with affection.

'Damn! She could've at least warn me about the transportation.' thought Alex.

When I opened my eyes I started cursing which sounded like wailing due to the sudden bright light.

'F@#k this is too bright!' cursed Alex.

When I finally adjusted to the light, I was in the bosoms of a woman. When I saw her face, I got stunned. She's the most beautiful woman I've seen (except the girl in the realm of the dead). She has long light blue hair that reaches till her waist that looks like the sky and deep blue eyes that will give you a serene image.

When I heard what she said next, I got excited and started crying.

'Guess I will be called Aizen Strom from now on. Well finally the adventure of Alex or I mean now Aizen Strom - The Legendary Sky God Slayer begins.' I thought narcissistically.
