"This is how the Profound Divine Metal, Chaos Divine Flame, and I came to being. Once we evolve to the second form, we will gain sentience. Our memories and knowledge are inherited so we know what we are and what will happen in the future. There are only two outcomes for the Five Divine Elements: one, we end up being absorbed by another Divine Element. Two, we keep absorbing other Divine Elements before finally evolving to our final forms, helping our host to become an apex powerhouse. Then, we would be reborn into a new body. At that time, the remaining elemental energy would revert to the first form and return to the heavens and earth. It's a cycle. However, only a handful of the Five Divine Elements are able to successfully evolve to their final forms. I can only hope three of us would be able to walk to the end of the road with you." The Chaos Divine Earth did not seem confident at the end of its sentence.
Duan Ling Tian fell silent for a moment before he asked, "Why are there only 18 Realms of Gods? Why isn't there a 19th Realm of Gods?"
"The rules of heaven and earth make it so that there can only be 18 Realms of Gods existing at one time. There's nothing the apex powerhouses can do to change this," the Chaos Divine Earth replied.
"The rules of heaven and earth? What is that?" Duan Ling Tian was startled.
"The rules of heaven and earth are rather vague. No one really knows what they are, but there's no doubt that they exist. For example, the Lightning Penalty Oath in the mundane realms is one of the rules of heaven and earth. In the Devata Realms, only a handful of people are able to break through and become Gods. This also seems to be one of the rules of heaven and earth. Even apex powerhouses are as insignificant as ants faced with the rules of heaven and earth. There was once an apex powerhouse that tried to create the 19th Realm of Gods… Do you know what happened in the end?" the Chaos Divine Earth asked Duan Ling Tian.
"What happened?" Duan Ling Tian was intrigued. Since heaven and earth only allowed 18 Realms of Gods to exist, creating the 19th Realm of Gods was akin to deliberately going against the rules of heaven and earth.
"A punishment from heaven and earth descended on him, and he was reduced into ashes!" the Chaos Divine Earth replied.
Duan Ling Tian's heart skipped a beat. An apex powerhouse who was almost invincible in heaven and earth was reduced to ash for violating the rules of heaven and earth? With this, he realized how formidable the rules of heaven and earth were.
After Duan Ling Tian regained his senses, he curiously asked, "You mentioned earlier that most people who became apex powerhouses possess at least one Divine Element in its final form… Does this mean there are those who successfully became apex powerhouses without the help of a Divine Element in its final form?"
"Yes. Those people had an extraordinary understanding of heaven and earth. They had comprehended one of the Four Supreme Laws and integrated it into their cultivations. As a reward by heaven and earth, they were transformed into apex powerhouses!"
"The Four Supreme Laws? Are they the first-tier laws that can't be comprehended through Celestial Methods and Divine Abilities?" Duan Ling Tian asked.
"Yes. The strongest laws one could comprehend through Celestial Methods or Divine Abilities are only second-tier laws. There are four types of first-tier laws and numerous second-tier laws." The Chaos Divine Earth's voice seemed to change when it spoke about first-tier laws.
"Besides the law of life, what are the remaining three first-tier laws?" Duan Ling Tian asked.
"They're the law of time, the law of space, and the law of death!" the Chaos Divine Earth solemnly replied, "The law of time and the law of space are also collectively known as the law of time and space whereas the law of life and the law of death are known as the law of life and death. In heaven and earth, everything is bound to the Four Supreme Laws!"
"The law of time, the law of space, the law of life, and the law of death. That's right! Nothing can escape time, space, life, and death." Realization dawned on Duan Ling Tian immediately.
Time was constantly ticking.
Space was the foundation of ground for everything.
Life was fundamental for all creations.
Death was inescapable by all creations.
"Let's say there are two people with the same cultivation base who have comprehended the same number of profundities. If one of them comprehended a first-tier law, and the other only comprehended second-tier laws, there's no doubt the former would easily crush the latter. That's the power of the Four Supreme Laws. The Four Supreme Laws are powerful, but they're incredibly difficult to comprehend. Moreover, one has to be extremely lucky to even encounter one of the Four Supreme Laws. To master the Four Supreme Laws, one has to have a high degree of understanding. That's why we didn't dare to guarantee you'll be able to comprehend and master the law of life even though you're lucky enough to obtain the main branch of the Divine Tree of Life and had it acknowledge you as its master," the Chaos Divine Earth said, "The Divine Tree of Life wouldn't simply acknowledge someone as its master. There are two requirements. The first requirement: one has to be a Celestial Duke, at least. The second and the most important requirement: one has to possess 99 Heavenly Veins… Based on your experience, you can see that we're able to circumvent the first requirement. However, if one doesn't have 99 Heavenly Veins, even an apex powerhouse could do nothing to make the Divine Tree of Life acknowledge him. This is also a rule of heaven and earth that everyone has to abide by!"
Upon hearing the Chaos Divine Earth's words, Duan Ling Tian finally realized how big of a part his 99 Heavenly Veins played in getting the Divine Tree of Life to acknowledge him.
Duan Ling Tian asked, "Are there many people with 99 Heavenly Veins?"
"Based on my inherited memories and knowledge, under the rules of heaven and earth, there won't be more than 100 people with 99 Heavenly Veins existing at the same time. Moreover, having 99 Heavenly Veins doesn't mean one is guaranteed to become an apex powerhouse. Only those who are truly outstanding are able to become apex powerhouses!" the Chaos Divine Earth explained.
With this, Duan Ling Tian also discovered his 99 Heavenly Veins only gave him a slight advantage and would not help much in the future.
'Up until now, the only other person I know who possesses 99 Heavenly Veins as well is Huan'er. Who knew there are still so many people who possess 99 Heavenly Veins in heaven and earth? I wonder if some of them had died in this dog-eat-dog world...' Duan Ling Tian thought to himself.
The Chaos Divine Earth warned Duan Ling Tian, "Don't think you're special just because you possess 99 Heavenly Veins. Moreover, you shouldn't easily reveal that you possess 99 Heavenly Veins. People might kill you because they fear you would become an apex powerhouse. In the long course of history, there were many talented individuals with 99 Heavenly Veins who were killed by other powerhouses when they were close to becoming an apex powerhouse. Wicked people would try to kill you before you become an apex powerhouse since they would be helpless once you become an apex powerhouse. Having 99 Heavenly Veins is both a blessing and a curse. Therefore, remember not to casually reveal you have 99 Heavenly Veins. You don't know if it'll attract disaster!"
"Yes, senior." Duan Ling Tian nodded. Now that he knew the possible consequences, he would not easily reveal the fact that he possessed 99 Heavenly Veins.

By then, I'm pretty sure this chapter has already been written. Note that the next paragraphs are the lines of the previous chapters, so please do not buy this chapter yet.
Pondering as to what he was going to do now that he was in the Evernorth Desert, a disembodied voice resounded throughout the area all of a sudden, giving off an imposing vibe as it muttered, "Welcome, inheritor candidate, to the Desecrated Inheritance. I shall be your guide in this inheritance, and I hope you pass through all of the trials Lord Calcifas shall give you."
"Currently, you're inside the Evernorth Desert, the desert where the first feats of the great Lord Calcifas have ben witnessed," the disembodied voice continued to talk, its tone that of awe and reverence. "To pay pilgrimage to the great Lord Calcifas, you must trek the Evernorth Desert in search of its exit. Once you find the exit, you shall become eligible to enter the true Desecrated Inheritance, and obtain boundless amounts of power."
"As a hint to reach the exit, heed my words," it added after it explained what Argentum had to do to start the Desecrated Inheritance. "The earth shall be your guide, let its embrace envelop you as it shall lead you to the end."
"May you be successful in reaching the end, inheritor candidate," the disembodied voice said its final words before disappearing, allowing Argentum to start trekking through the Evernorth Desert. Of course, before going ahead and starting his journey through the desert, the first thing he did was process and organize the information he had obtained from the disembodied voice, where most of it was related to the great Lord Calcifas, who Argentum thought was the owner of the Desecrated Inheritance.
"I wonder how long this Calcifas guy has been alive?" Argentum could not help but think to himself, recalling how old Felix and Eleanor were. Nevertheless, this thought was placed at the back of his head as he recalled that he was here to obtain Earth-based skills from the inheritance, and not to find out the relationship between the three…though it was not a lie to say that he was interested.
After processing all of the information he had obtained from the disembodied voice, he then recalled Aurus' memories regarding the Evernorth Desert, wondering if the words spoken by the voice inside his memory were more or less the same with what the disembodied voice said to him. Fortunately, that was indeed the case, with the voice inside Aurus' memory saying something along the lines of letting the earth guide him towards the end.
With that being confirmed, Argentum already knew what he had to do in order to find the exit in the Evernorth Desert and officially arrive at the Desecrated Inheritance. Closing his sense of vision without hesitation, he then allowed one of his passive skills to replace his sight as it offered him a new perspective on what the Evernorth Desert was like.
The passive skill that replaced his sight…was [Earth Affinity]. From the hint given by the disembodied voice itself, it told Argentum to let the earth guide him towards the exit. Naturally, the best way to let the earth guide someone like him towards the exit was to become one with the earth, and thus, [Earth Affinity] was activated.
At the very instant the skill replaced his sense of vision, he was able to find out that a great amount of Earth energy particles could be seen in the surroundings, though most of it congregated towards the sand he was stepping on, transforming into strands of pale brown light. These strands then connected with one another, transforming into thick brown lines that served as pathways amidst the mostly dark landscape offered by [Earth Affinity].
Surprisingly, these thick brown lines were arranged in a maze-like pattern that covered the entirety of the Evernorth Desert, though Argentum wasn't sure about the last part since his [Earth Affinity] was only at the S-grade Mortal level. It did offer him greater range as to how many thick brown lines on the sand he could see, but he did not have the ability to view all of the lines making up the hidden maze of the Evernorth Desert, thinking that it was only possible if he had achieved [True Earth Affinity].
"Well, let's get started," Argentum said to psych himself up as he knew that this journey was going to last for quite some time. Since it was a maze, then he already had a strategy up his sleeve that would allow him to reach the end, though not at the fastest time. Making sure to focus his skill towards the right side of every thick brown line he was walking on, he went ahead and activated about half of his movement speed boosting spells, giving himself some leeway when it came to sensing where he was going to go.
Naturally, the strategy that he used when traversing the maze was a classic, which was to place one's hand on the right side of the wall and use that as a way to find the exit. Of course, this strategy would not apply to all mazes as some mazes had the ability to change shape, depending on who made it. Thankfully, the owner of the Desecrated Inheritance did not bother to make it change shape, giving beings like Argentum, who knew what to do inside the Evernorth Desert, assurance in getting to the official portion of the Desecrated Inheritance.
And so, Argentum went on and traversed through the Evernorth Desert, allowing his [Earth Affinity] to act as his eyes as he followed the paths of the thick brown lines. From a bystander, it would seem that Argentum was walking around in circles for some time, then walk straight for others, then walk in a random direction after that. Even though it was a bit hilarious to think about, Argentum continued to make progress through the maze, feeling that he had reached the halfway point of the Evernorth Desert's maze by around three hours or so.
By the time he had sensed the exit, it was already five hours since he started walking through the maze. At the very instant he was able to sense it, he activated one more movement speed boosting spell, significantly increasing the speed at which he traversed the thick brown lines making up the maze before finally arriving at the exit.
Whoosh!
At the very instant he touched the exit of the maze, which was a large circle made out of lighter brown lines, the disembodied voice that gave him advice at the start resounded throughout the area once more. It said with a tone of praise, "Congratulations, inheritor candidate, for arriving at the end of the Evernorth Desert in a time of 5 hours, and 12 minutes."
"Since you have arrived at the end of the Evernorth Desert at a time four times faster than the general average, the Desecrated Inheritance has decided to give you a chance to select one skills from the inheritance's skill list. To access it, just step beyond the exit you're stepping on and everything else will naturally take place," it continued.
Since Argentum was now done traversing through the hidden maze of the Evernorth Desert, he opened his sense of vision once more, revealing a doorway that shone quite intensely with brown light. Without hesitation, he took a few steps into the doorway, being transported to another place as the disembodied voice that guided him resounded throughout the area.

Under a twist of fate, Aurus was struck by a bolt of lightning, making him realize that he would never have the chance to play the game he poured most of his time and effort into ever again.

Fortunately, a goddess took pity on his miserable fate and gave him two choices: the first one was to reincarnate through the Six Paths of Reincarnation, and the second one…was to reincarnate as a stick. Hearing the second choice, Aurus could not help but remember...that this was exactly the starting character of the game he used to play!

Without hesitation, Aurus chose the latter, bringing a smile to the goddess’ face…which seemed to contain secrets and desires hidden to the naked eye.

And so, Aurus was reborn into a world that he was familiar with, albeit this time—he was now living a life as a stick! 

Though that may be the case, witness the adventures of Aurus as he turns the expectations of everyone around him upside down as he gradually returns to his previous heights… and perhaps, far beyond it!

The reason for strapping safety belts to the Black Knight was to serve as insurance since the Prometheus Spaceship was destroyed at the end of the movie.
Chen Chen was unsure if there was still anything useful at the coordinate or if the passage led to the room on the spaceship. There was a chance the passage would lead to a void in space or simply to the wreckages of the spaceship.
Contrary to Chen Chen's expectations, the Black Knight had returned from the opposite end of the passage in less than ten minutes.
Unlike previously, the Black Knight labeled T0421 was covered all over in a layer of grayish-brown dust as if he had weathered a sandstorm in the other end of the passage.
The Black Knight also brought back a recording with him.
"Minor traces of radiation detected!"
Little X immediately alerted, "Sir Godfather, please be careful. The dust particles on T0421 are radioactive dust."
"It's alright, this radiation is only in the range of several X-rays. Besides, I'm wearing the GS Combat Suit."
Chen Chen made a waving gesture. "It's not the void or the planet LV-223 on the other end?"
After a brief exchange, Chen Chen made the Black Knight get disinfected while he took the recording and played it.
Chen Chen was immediately greeted with the sight of a vast landscape.
The video showed broken remains of structures and a depressing amber sky spelling the end times. A ruthless sandstorm whirled on endlessly and the ruins of a city could be seen off in the distance. They were what remained of skyscrapers, the greatest badge of achievement left behind by mankind.
Chen Chen even saw a black tower-shaped building that had partly collapsed. It was the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Chen Chen's pupils shrunk when he saw this.
The passage did not lead to the planet LV-223 nor did it lead to a void in space, it led to Earth…
"Isn't this scenery quite familiar?"
Chen Chen mused pensively and turned to Little X. "If I'm not mistaken, the footage returned by the Black Knight should be the ending sequence in Alien 4, right?"
"Yes."
Little X answered, "I looked it up, there are two separate endings to Alien 4. One of them is where the protagonist Ripley and the cyborg Call overlooked the comely natural terrain of the Earth from their spaceship. The other ending is one where they landed the spaceship on Earth and upon walking out, found out that Earth and its cities were devastated with mankind seemingly wiped out.
"What's also worth mentioning is that in the latter ending, a destroyed Eiffel Tower could be seen as well. The footage taken by the Black Knight may display a different angle but it's otherwise completely identical…"
"I knew it!"
Upon receiving the conclusion, Chen Chen could not help but nod as he smiled bitterly. "USB drive, you're something alright. The movie I selected is Prometheus, but you went ahead and skipped to the timeline in Alien 4. Prometheus should be set in the year 2091 and the timeline of Alien 4 is set in 2381. It skipped nearly three-hundred years ahead…"
"So, it's just as we presumed, all the worlds connected via the USB drive cannot escape their fate of destruction?"
"Should we continue the mission then?"
Little X asked, "Even though Earth is mostly rendered a wasteland, there's still the chance of us finding the holographic imaging technology among the ruins."
Chen Chen immediately fell silent following the remark.

“ Just give up already. There is no way you can stop the attack from happening. Today is the end of This World. Earth will have an apocalypse today.Human civilization will end today. You can’t save it, anymore.” Amayra, The Leader of TTO spat the words. 

“ Don’t forget, Miss Leader. There’s still 15 minutes left.” Agent S replied. Despite all the torture, all the pain, the arrogance, the dominance, the danger, the coldness couldn’t be hidden in his voice. 

As if he would challenge her to the very doors of death itself. 

“ Take them to the Four-Square and then hang them there. Let them watch the end of This Earth with their own eyes. Idiots.” Amayra gave the orders and then left the place, to accomplish her mission. 

 ‘Mission. Apocalypse.’ 

~~ Telepathic conversation ~~ 

“ S, are you alright?” K asked in another soft whisper [ Telepathically]. Her energy was getting drained rapidly, all no-thanks to the bullets, which were still embedded in her body. 

“ As if this ( referring to everything, they have been through) can affect me.” S replied haughtily. [ Telepathically] 

And after a very long time, a small smile crept on K’s face. This arrogant, egoistic bastard is still the same. 

“ K, what’s your condition?” S asked nonchalantly. As if the person shot directly in the heart wasn’t him. As if the person, who was slowly, very slowly succumbing to death, wasn’t him. 

“ 3 broken ribs, even the sternum has been cracked a little, 5 bullets still on the body out of 8. But luckily no fatal wound. Can still kick the hell out of others. Oh right, My left arm is delocalised too.” K reported her overall condition as a doctor. 

“ Good. Now, listen carefully. There is a dagger in my jacket’s back,grab it and throw it at the man standing at 5 o’clock. He has Gullock with him, which will be useful for you. 

We have to finish the mission, before they finish us. We can’t let that psychopath activate the Micro-lemments. It will destroy The Earth.” S replied, the superiority, the patriotism, the leadership, the will to protect this earth, this world could be clearly seen. 

“ But, what about you?” K asked worriedly . Fine. Even in the name of humanity, she was worried about him. She had seen the bullet piercing through his heart. 

“ Agent K, our priority is to save Earth and Earthlings, not you or me.” S scowl at her. 

“But….” K wanted to say more. But.. just like her ‘But’, there was only But... left in between them. 

“ Let’s kill them all, before they do the honour. Don’t forget J and M are waiting for us. We have to stop this apocalypse from happening.” S stopped her from continuing further. 

He knows, this idiot agent, is still the epitome of stupidity. Rather than saving herself, she is worried about him. Her sworn enemy.

“ Time to say goodbye to your favourite Earth, Agents.” The bodyguard from before replied haughtily. 

‘Boom’. And another bullet pierced through K’s already delocalised left arm. 

‘‘Ah!!!” She screamed due to the pain. 

‘ K, Now.’ S said in a calm,yet dangerous voice, telepathically.

And K, who till now was crouching on the ground, all drenched with her own blood and sweat, still coming in terms with the pain of the bullet,followed her senior’s order. She stretched her right arm straight, then bent it at 90degrees angle. 

And with a little flip of her already a mess of body, she reached S’s back, brought out the dagger, threw it at the person, standing at 5 o’clock’s direction. 

 ( After all, it was the stupidity to not to tie these agents up, when these idiots had the chance.) 

 And before any of the people could react she took three leapts, to cover the distance in between her and now dead person, she then sntached the Gullock from the gangster’s hand and shot at the bodyguard, who just hurt her left arm. 

‘Boom’. Boom’. Boom’. One after another she shot three bullets directly at the guard’s heart. 

‘Boom’. And as if to be double sure, she shot another bullet to screw the brains of the guy. 

And the guy as high and mighty as Mount Everest fell to the ground. But that wasn’t all. 

There were 50 guards, 80 gangsters in the very same place. What’s more, her partner was heavily injured and so was she. 

And only 7 Minutes to stop the apocalypse.

Wang Han was walking in front and looked back with a contemptuous smile when he heard Mu Gaoqi’s muttering. “Is this an act of denouncing the grapes as sour since you can’t have them?”

Mu Gaoqi’s lips twisted as he growled back, “And what are you so proud of?”

“What now? I can’t be proud? I have a share of the earth rank herbs from the second layer coming to me. Do you?”

Clearly, Wang Han was deliberately showing off. It was Jiang Chen who yanked on a corner of Mu Gaoqi’s robes and said, “Gaoqi, it’s pointless to argue. As good as these earth rank herbs are, who knows who they’ll end up with in the end?”

Wang Han scoffed arrogantly. “No matter whose pocket they end up in, they won’t end up in your sub-sage realm level hands.”

The four spirit herb fields had been scattered to four corners. The fields were lush and full of herbs, all striving to outdo each other in appearance. It was as if the place had flourished from ancient times till the present. Jiang Chen’s gaze swept through the fields, and the results were greatly surprising. There was almost a hundred earth rank herbs in each field, indicating around four hundred herbs in total.

Thus, the thirty plus sage realm experts would each receive around ten earth rank herbs. This number was slightly out of Jiang Chen’s expectations. The elders of the six great sects were just as excited, as shrewd light radiated from their eyes.

“Haha, since we’ve already said the Great Cathedral would go first, this old man is going to help himself!” Elder Xiang Gan was extremely domineering. The Walkabout Sect was only allowed five harvesters but even so, the number of earth rank herbs once again decreased by another small amount. Next was the Sacred Sword Palace with a quota of six people allowed.

They had the same numbers as the Great Cathedral, so another batch of herbs went into the pockets of the Sacred Sword Palace. According to the previous rules, an earth sage realm cultivator could pick two herbs while a mortal sage realm cultivator could only pick one. When it was the Regal Pill Palace’s turn, only Elder Yun Nie could harvest two earth rank herbs, as he was the only one in the earth sage realm. The other three elders could only pick one during their turn. Earth rank herbs also had different levels of quality to them, so those harvesting earlier naturally had an advantage. Fortunately, the overall quality of any of the earth rank herbs was not low. Plus, everyone had different needs, so they ended up taking what they needed with little conflict.

There were ten earth sage realm experts and twenty five mortal sage realm cultivators, meaning that forty five herbs would be harvested in each round. Thus, the four hundred or so earth rank herbs were enough for the sage realm cultivators to go through the harvesting order nine times. This meant that each earth sage realm expert would end up with eighteen earth rank herbs, while each mortal sage realm cultivator would have nine. As envious as the origin realm cultivators were, they could only stand on the sidelines and look on at the others earning a fortune.

This number was quite low compared to the Great Cathedral and the Sacred Sword Palace’s haul. Jiang Chen smiled silently, and did not continue to argue.

At this time, Elder Xiang Gan’s voice once again sounded out, “Alright, we’ve finished distributing the earth rank herbs. Next up is the real show. Once we reach the third level, everyone must be extremely careful. Rash behavior will not be tolerated.
