Chapter Thirty One


DJ was speechless as Terry breathes heavily as he looks at Kris who smiles as he limps over to the others as Kris and DJ kicks eyes as DJ turns and walks off. 

Anthony: Boss!

DJ: Tell the men to surround the building. We lost. 

Finch: But we can't just…!

DJ: If you value breathing you'll shut up and follow. 

Kris: Off so soon?

DJ stops and balls his hand into a fist. 

DJ: Do what you want with these nobodies. My men stay with me. 

Cayce: No, sir. 

Cayce stands by Kris as other Zero Company soldier's begin to do the same. 

Cayce: Not this time. You made the terms, you set the deal. They won. We're falling in line. 

DJ: Do as you wish. 

Kris: We're going to need to work together. 

DJ: Maybe in hell. Which I imagine we'll be seeing each other in by dawn, hmm?

Kris: Release my people from your brig, and maybe I can call us even.

DJ: Have you men. They serve me no purpose. 

DJ and a small number of his forces head inside the building as Cayce turns and salutes Kris along with the other soldiers. 

Cayce: Cayce Lynn, pilot and Zero Company Lieutenant at your service. 

Kris: These men with you, can they operate those tanks you got at the entrances by the front gate?

Cayce: Yes, sir. 

Kris: Tell them to man up now. 

Cayce nods as Kris faces his own group. 

Kris: We'll need to take precautions now before it's too late. 

Nick: What do you have in mind?

Kris: We'll wait till we're at full capacity.

Lance: What shall we tell these civilians?

Kris looks about at the many faces. 

Kris: Everyone! Listen up!

Kris walks out a bit away from the group so all eyes and ears can fall onto him.

Kris: In a matter of hours, a large horde of the undead will be upon us. We have nowhere to run, nowhere to go. Our backs literally against the wall. They will converge on this area, hundreds of thousands strong. And they will be here to kill us all. As far as I know,  we're all that is left of Eden. So because of that, we cannot fall. Cuz if we fall, then paradise truly is lost...and we...we border on extinction. So when the time comes, I need all of you, to be ready. I need all of you to be strong.

Lyndsey grips Miles' hand as Rebecca and Nick so the same. Terry spits out some blood as he attached his gun belt as Shane appeared and folds his arms.

Kris: I need all of you, to stand with me, to stand with each other, to fight alongside one another! To stare down that sea of the dead and face that face, knowing you won't have to do it alone! together, we will triumph, together, we will live to see the sun rise on another day! And once we do, help will come, that I can promise! Survive the night, survive the morning! And let's save Eden...are you with me!?

Everyone erupts into cheers or determination and will as Mary appears pushing past some people as she hugs him as Dustin and Makayla come over to Lance glad to see him as Brianna comes over and holds a hand out to Kris.

Brianna: Don't know what you did. But I gotta thank you. 

Kris: No you don't. You're one of us. It's what we do. 

Mary: Boss...how did you..?

Kris: I'll fill you in later...are you okay?

Kris looks Mary over as Mary nods meekly. 

Mary: I'll be fine, Kris. 

Kris: I'm glad you guys are okay. 

Lance: Now that we're all together. What's the plan?

The group all come together as Lance stands next to Kris. 

Kris: When the time comes, well all have to take posts. Shane, did you find any back exits out of here?

Shane: Just a hangar gated off and more abandoned unused buildings and homes. Makes up the outer rim of the base, but no, those barriers are still intact, and blowing them leads out into open land with even more zombies waiting around. 

Lance:So, nothing?

Shane: No. 

Kris: Women and children are going to need escape, if they can't, they'll need a place to be secured and defended. 

Dustin: One area full of kids and women and no way out, what if the base gets overran?

Kris: we'll need people to be locked in as well and willing to give their lives to protect them.

Dustin: I'll do it. 

Lance: You're one of the best soldier's we have. We could use you on the front lines. 

Dustin: I know, boss. But those kids will need me more. 

Lance nods as he can't disagree. 

Kris: Amber, Lily, you think you could help back him up?

Amber: Yes, sir. 

Lily: I think so. 

Kris: Miles, I'm going to need Lyndsey to go with and…

Miles: Sorry sir, Shane made it crystal clear, she won't be leaving my side. 

Kris: Miles…

Lyndsey: I don't want to leave him...I won't allow him down. 

Lance: She's better off with him. 

Kris: I'm just looking out for your safety, it's going to get dangerous.

Lyndsey: I appreciate that sir. I do...but I won't leave him.

Mary: How many areas are there to cover, Cayce?

Cayce: Bout six, north, south, east and west are a given. But there are sectional areas in the northeast, and northwest. 

Kris: East is the main area, which is this choke point here correct?

Cayce: Yes, sir. The tanks block off the main entrance, and the structure walls barricade off the rest of the area. 

Lance: The structures are weak against heavy pressure though, enough of them can probably collapse the entire wall. 

Cayce: True, but that pressure has to be equal missile fire, so they won't collapse. 

Brianna: But they can be overrun. 

Cayce: Yes. 

Kris: Which side has the easiest infiltration points?

Cayce: Here, and the northeast.

Lance: I'll cover the northeast. 

Mary: I'll help. 

Kris: Northwest, Terry, think you can handle it?

Terry: Should. 

Shane: I'll take the west point. 

Nick: I'll cover the north. 

Makayla: I'll take the south. 

Miles: Leaves me with you and the east, Kris. 

Rebecca: Is there anywhere I can take up a post that covers a large area?

Cayce: Yes, actually. There's a building we use as a sniper tower in the North that can cover almost everything, except directly South. 

Rebecca: I'll take point there. 

Cayce: I'll be in the sky with the gunship, able to lay cover and provide updates. 

Kris: Then it sounds like we have what we need to do. alright, when the time comes, everyone be ready. Tend to your spots, prepare. Cayce isn't it?

Cayce: Yes. 

Kris: I need you to go out and fly the area, we need to know how long we have before the Horde gets here. 

Nick: I'll accompany.

Kris: Everyone, let's get ready. 

Mary: What about Zero Company?

Lance: What about them?

Mary: We'll need them. We'll need their guns, their experience.

Kris: They'll come around on their own or they won't. With or without them we need to hold. 

Kris turns and heads off as Mary looks at Lance who shrugs as he and her head towards their area as Cayce and Nick jog towards the helipad where the gunship is. 

Rebecca goes up the sprawling circular staircase up to the tower in the North as she sets up stacks of ammo caches at strategic spots as some men add mounted guns and extra ammo as Rebecca situates two .50 cal sniper rifles and her SVD. 

Makayla in the south has her group getting into place as they lined up along the wall and put ammo boxes around as Brianna paced over towards her. 

Makayla: What do they have you doing? 

Brianna: Checking on everyone, I'm not assigned a post. Kris feels I'm better off doing my own thing. 

Makayla: Freelancing. Your favorite. 

Brianna: Absolutely. 


Elsewhere, In the Gunship


Cayce flies the gunship pass some buildings as Nick leans down and looks over as Cayce turns the gunship and begins flying over the oncoming walking dead, the streets from miles and miles packed with undead as Nick and Cayce watch the sight with stunned silence as Kolton watches the gunship flying over as he blended into the horde, smirking his undead grin. 


Elsewhere


Brianna watches as Lance directs some men as Mary fires her bow and arrow into a nearby target as she hits a bull's-eye, Brianna whistling.

Miles helps some men learn to aim properly as Lyndsey watched close by. Kris helps set up some torrent guns that are mounted to the upper rim of the gate along the barricade as shells are loaded and reloads are placed all about as the Tanks are loaded with shells being placed all around them as the outside area is cleared, allowing me to place landmines in tight clusters. 

A man hoists a rocket launcher from out a or weapons cache and Terry nods as he tells him where to bring it, Brianna patting him as Terry smiles at her and nods as Dustin is showing some men in the nearby building vantage points inside as Amber and Lily are talking with women who are armed as kids are playing together trying to show their not scared. 

Shane bolts his rifle as he eyes his men who are setting up makeshift posts all about the area as Shane looks to see the hangar not too far off from his line of sight as he could see the Jet. Shane looks up as he hears a whirling and can see the Gunship returning to the base as Shane puts a stick of gum into his mouth. 

DJ watches the movement from his office as Finch and Adam sit quietly on a leather sofa as Anthony leans against DJ's bookshelf. 

Anthony: What are we going to do?

DJ: You know what…

Finch: This is bullshit!

DJ: Good thing you don't have a say.

Adam: Why are we waiting around?

DJ:. Because, their order needs to be established. And because we're still getting out of here once the shit hits the fan. 


Elsewhere


Cayce and Nick come over and meet with Kris as Nick hands him a red dot infrared  image of the area as Brianna, Miles and Lyndsey hurry over. 

Cayce: it's massive...and they're getting closer. 

Kris: How far away is this?

Nick: 25 miles or so.

Miles: At that rate that's what...two hours, maybe less?

Kris: Whoever corralled them has runners strategically placed to prod the walkers into moving fast, it's like a locust swarm just moving in a breeze. 

Nick: What do you want us to do?

Kris: I want everyone to get an hour of sleep. We'll meet up here at…

Kris checks his watch to see it's 1: 16am Kris: 2:15am. Till then get some shut eye. 

That's an order. 

Kris heads off as the others look about nervously.

13 years ago 

"Papa!! Papa!! Over here!" a young 6-year-old girl named Charm cheers to her Grandpa as she witnesses a gorgeous butterfly souring throughout the garden. 

"What is it my dear?" Her Grandpa asks as he slowly walks towards an excited little girl. 

"It’s a butterfly!!" She points to the big blue butterfly that sits on her Grandma's tulip bush. 

"Well looky here, they seem to like your Mama's tulip bush." He replies. 

"It’s so beautiful." The young Charm reaches out to touch the gorgeous butterfly, but her Papa stops her from doing so. She gives him a confused look. 

"No Honey don't touch it, or you'll scare it away." 

"Oh ok." She doesn't want to scare it away, but it’s so hard to retain herself from grabbing it. 

"Come on Charmy I want to show you something." She grabs Papa's hand as they both make their way towards the house. 

"Where are we going Papa?" 

"Oh, on an adventure!" 

"Yay!!" It’s obvious how excited Charm is once Papa informed her of the adventure they are about to embark. She loves going on adventures. Their adventure soon leads them to Papa's office. 

Papa picks her up and sets her down on the edge of his desk. Then he walks towards the giant closet thing he has against the wall to come back with a book in his hand. 

"What’s that Papa?" 

"This is a journal, where I write down things about my dreams, to keep them as memories." 

The young Charm gives him a confused look then ask, "What are dreams?" 

"Well a famous psychic by the name of Edgar Cayce once said 'That dream are today's answers to tomorrows questions' " 

"What does that mean Papa?" 

"You will understand when your older. But to give you a better explanation, dreams are scenarios that a person has throughout their mind when they are a sleep. Though you can also dream when you are awake, that is day-dreaming, when you are lost in a trace and your mind takes you to magical places." 

"Can you read some of your dreams to me?" 

"Of course." I jump down from the desk and run towards the chair near the window, making myself comfortable for story time. 

" Ok so, June ,1998...." 

5 years later 

"Hey mom I'm home!" A much older Charm yells as she walks in her house through the front door. As she passes the kitchen Charm notices her mom sitting in front the counter with her head down and her shoulders shaking. 

"Mom what's wrong?" Charm runs up to her mom and all she does is pull an 11-year-old Charm into a tight hug. They both just stand there in silence, all you can hear is her mother’s gasps for air as she tries to stop crying. 

"Will you tell me what’s going on now?" 

"Your Grandpa...... he's in the hospital and he.... he is very sick.... he doesn't have much time left." I froze in shock. 

"No.....No that's not possible!" 

"I'm sorry baby. I guess God decided that it was his time to leave." Charm shakes my head in denial. Her mom pulls her into another tight hug. Now they are both sobbing together. 

"Can we.... go.... go visit him?" Charm asks, trying to catch her breath. Her mother nods then quickly runs up the stairs to get her purse and keys. 

30 minutes later 

 

"Hi, I'm looking for Andrew Jacobs?" Charm’s mom asks the receptionist behind the front desk. 

"Yes, and you are?" 

"I'm his daughter, Penelope Jacobs." 

"May I see an ID to confirm?" Penelope nods while digging through her purse in search of her ID. Once she finds it, she slides it across the desk. 

The receptionist takes a brief look at it then passes it back while saying, " 2nd floor room 41" 

"Thank you" Penelope whispers, her and her daughter both run towards the elevator. After about 10 minutes of navigating, they are finally standing right in front of room 41. 

Charm takes a deep breath before reaching for the door knob. What she sees right in front of her once the door is open, can really shatter anyone’s heart into a million pieces. 

"Oh Papa!" Charm runs towards him, grabbing his hand in sobs. 

"Charm....is.... that you?" Papa weakly asks. 

"Yes! Yes, it’s me Papa." She squeezes his hand, letting him know that she is here and not planning to leave his side. 

"Good I have something for you." He shifts towards the nightstand beside them and pulls open one of the drawers, retrieving a hard cover book. 

"This is for you. It’s your very own Dream Journal just like the one I showed you when you were younger. I want you write in it every single day. Like you’re writing it to me. And somehow I will make sure I will read every entry." He explains weakly. Charm just nods, pressing the journal to her chest. 

"I promise. I will even start today, just for you Papa." She quickly tries to find something a pen or pencil to write but her Papa grabs her by the hand before she can stand up. 

"No dearie don't start today. Let’s just talk." She nods then grabs his hand once again. 

They talk about anything and everything. Ever since that first visit, as soon as Charm gets out of school she would either beg my mom or dad to visit to the hospital or take the bus. The bus driver has become her new friend, so that there are some days where he won't charge her. 

"Thanks Bill" Charm shouts as she exits the bus, making her way towards the entrance of the hospital. Sally, (the receptionist from all the times Charm has come to visit) is sitting in the front desk, working. 

"Hey Sally" Charm greets, making her way towards the elevator. 

"Oh, hey Charm wait come back here!" Sally exclaims. Charm quickly walks back, so she can tell me what she needs to tell me, in the need to see her Papa as always. 

"What’s up" 

Sally gives her a sad look, "Umm honey I don't know how to tell you this but........" 

"Tell me what?" 

"Well your umm Papa he went to surgery to help him get better and....." 

"And?" 

"I'm so sorry sweetie but he didn't make it." Charm freezes in shock. No that can't be true. 

"No that be true! You’re lying to me!! Is this joke?!" She yells at Sally, ignoring everyone's stares. 

"No sweetie, I'm not joking here look the doctor is making his way here right now. He’ll be able to explain more better than me." Charm turns to the left to see Dr. Adams making his way towards the front desk with the same expression that Sally has on her face. 

"Hello Charm, I'm sorry to say this but what Sally just informed you is very true. I'm so sorry Hun." He pats her on the shoulder, but quickly walks away to attend his other patients. 

As soon as Charm processes all the information she was just told, her entire body just crashes, in other words, she falls on the ground sobbing. Meanwhile, Sally calls her parents to tell them the bad news. 

They immediately answer that they're on their way to the hospital to pick up the 11-year-old Charm and to say their final goodbyes. ‘God really did decide that it was Papa's time to go, at least he has Mama waiting up in heaven for him.’ Charm mentally confesses. 

As week soon after turn into months, Charm still suffering from the loss of one of her true best friends. A week after that horrible day, was the funeral and everyone from family and friends from the neighborhood came to say their condolences. After that horrific event Charm’s parents decide to move back to her hometown, once she’s informed of the changes that were about to be made, she expected things to be different but that’s just saying it nicely. 

8 years later 

 

Home sweet home, back in Boston, when her Mama got sick Charm’s parents and herself moved with her Mama and Papa to take care of them. Not long after Mama unfortunately passes away. But they decided to stay more longer to keep an eye on her Papa. Shortly after he started getting sick and unfortunately passed away, so they sorted everything they needed to do, packed all their belongings to move back to Boston. 

And now a 19-year-old Charm attending Boston University. She strongly doubts about anyone recognizing her after so many years. 

"Honey we're here! Once you figure out which dorm you're in let me know so I can unload what you've brought so far." Penelope, Charm’s mother, says as she parks the car right in front of the office building. 

Charm takes in a very deep breath then quietly mumbles an "Ok bye" to her mom while exiting the car. She starts making her way towards the office building, ignoring everyone’s stares. 

"Hi, my name is Charm Davis, I'm here to get my schedule and dorm room number + key." She states to the secretary once she enters the office building. The secretary looks at her then gets up and walks away without saying a word. 

'Geez someone is in a fantastic mood, what great service around here.' Charm thinks to herself. 

"Here this is your schedule and dorm room number + key. And you’re lucky, I found an extra map, so you don't get lost." The grumpy old hag replies. 

She immediately exits the office building with everything she needs in hand, texting her mom the dorm room number then opens the map to find the directions to where the dorm building is. As she starts walking, not paying attention to her surroundings, she ends up bumping into something hard, causing her to lose balance. 

Charm closes my eyes and hold her hands out, expecting to meet the cold dirty floor. But instead she meets with a warm presence. 

She slowly opens my eyes only to meet with a gorgeous pair of stormy grey eyes with flecks of blue mixed in. She silently gasps in awe seeing as she was so mesmerized, she couldn't get herself to look away. 

"Umm are you okay?" the strange yet familiar guy asks her in worry with a deep sexy voice. ‘Oh my god Charm you usually aren't like this.’ 

"Umm.... yeah.... I'm fine.... um thanks" Charm awkwardly replies. They both stand there awkwardly gazing at each other, not knowing what to say. 

Just as she opens her mouth to ask for help, people start flooding into the hallway. The gorgeous stranger stands there for a couple seconds then suddenly walks away as if nothing happened. 

‘Uh.... Ok? I guess I'll have to use the map.’

‘No, it can't be her.... but....no! It can't be possible. I have a bad feeling about this. I need to find Emmett asap.’

Colonel Maverick was feeling quite anxious. It was already 7 p.m. but Yelena was nowhere to be seen. He doubted that she would miss this meeting for whatever reason. Did something happen to her?
They were supposed to meet the next day but he was given an urgent task. He already finished gathering everything he could, so he decided to tell her everything he knew tonight.
When she didn't show up even after he waited for minutes, he tried calling her but her phone was switched off. He decided to wait for a little while, thinking about the possibility of the Captain being caught up with something.
He was sitting alone in the small park where they agreed to meet. After a quiet fifteen minutes, he couldn't be at ease now. Besides, being late was not really a soldier thing.
He rose from his seat, trying to seek her whereabouts. But the moment he did that, five men came to him, blocking his way. When he identified one of them, his eyes grew wide!
"How did you come here?" Maverick grunted, stepping forward. When one thing crossed his mind, he furiously grabbed the man by the collar. "Where is Yelena? Did you do something to her?" He growled.
"Please come with us, sir. He is waiting for you." The man spoke up, having no intention to break free from the Colonel's grip.
"If you touch the Captain, I will make sure to kill you, Sergeant Cayce." Maverick roughly shoved the Sergeant, making him involuntarily took a few steps backwards.
"You must come with us first, sir. I don't want to use force. Please follow us." Sergeant Cayce formally said again.
Being convinced that Yelena was with these men, Maverick suppressed his rage and followed the men. He was blindfolded and he gets inside the car, having no idea of where they were planning to take him. 
After an hour, the blindfold was removed and he finds himself in a dark room, being chained to a chair. He quickly scanned his surroundings but Yelena was nowhere to be seen! What was the meaning of this?!
"Are you searching for something, perhaps someone?" A voice asked him from one corner.
Maverick eyes darted in the direction where the voice came. He was very familiar with the voice and he knows who he was.
The man gradually approached him with a calm face. He halted when he was just a step away from Maverick. "You betrayed me, Maverick. You are siding with Captain Yelena Arista." Lt. Gen. Haric Geraci muttered.
Maverick couldn't think of anything else but Yelena. What happened to her? "Where is she? What did you do to her?" He was glaring at the Lt. General, struggling to break free but he was bounded by chains!
"That's what I want to ask you. Did you hide her somewhere? She should be joining you here." Lt. Gen. Haric was calm like always.
Maverick was puzzled. They didn't abduct Yelena? Then where was she?! Knowing that Yelena was not in their hands, he suddenly wondered how the Lt. General knew about them.
Lt. General Haric walked to the small window which was the only source of light in the room. The moon was clearly visible from there and he ended up gazing quietly for a few seconds. "Do you wonder how I find out about your plan?" He gave Maverick a side glance but his face was still devoid of any expression. "I'm not a fool, Maverick. I know you well than you thought. I can sense it right away when there is a difference in you."
"You can do whatever you want to me but don't touch Yelena. You already killed her brother, that's enough." Maverick uttered, staring at the Lt. General for the whole time.
"I never want to kill anyone, Maverick, especially my fellow soldiers. But sometimes, things get out of hand, just like 6 years ago." The Lt. General's voice trailed off. He blankly narrowed his eyes at the floor.
All at once, he darted his eyes to Maverick. "Why are you trying to ruin the grand plan that I already carried on for 18 years?" He grunted. Anger erupting in his face for the first time. "I almost achieve my dream, Maverick."
"How many more people will have to suffer for that grand plan of yours? That plan is only ruining you! Please stop now, Lt. General." Maverick pleaded.
Lt. General Haric quietly stared at Maverick for a while. His face was unreadable. Then he suddenly turned away from him. "I don't care. It's a promise I made to my twenty comrades who died due to the weakness of the leaders of this country. I cannot stop now."
"Maverick, you know a kind country I dreamed of. I dedicated almost two decades to this and now, I only have to wait for a few more months." He added.
"For that, you have to shed more blood. You will only harm this country and the people. What happened 18 years ago, will not happen again. You should stop before more people suffer." Maverick argued. Was he fooling himself? He knows very well how the Lt. General was obsessed with his plan!
"What happened has already happened. That's what people always said." Lt. Gen. Haric scoffed. He lifted his hands and patted his heart. "But what about this? The scar that remained even after 18 years! Even today, the faces of my deceased comrades still lingered in my imagination. I will never forget what this country had done to them." He howled.
Maverick realized that it's pointless to argue with this man who was controlled by his mental scar. The Lt. General was blinded by the death of his twenty comrades that happened in a mission that took place 18 years ago! That stripped him off of his conscience.
"I admired your talent and skills, Maverick. I know that you will be one of my strength after I build the country I dreamed of. But why? Why did you betray me?" Lt. Gen. Haric uttered. 
"I don't want anything else. All I want is to stop living in guilt." Maverick firmly stated.
The Lt. General approached him again and put his hand on his shoulder. "It's not too late. If you change your mind and come back to my side, I will forgive you for everything. We only have to shut up that Captain and her aides." He glanced at Maverick with hope.
Colonel Maverick shook his head, hopelessly staring at the Lt. General. "That means you have to shed more blood. I don't want that kind of life anymore.

Maverick remained quiet for a few seconds, narrowing his eyes at himself. Then he lifted his head. "You are a superior whom I used to truly respect. I hope that you will regret your actions before it's too late, sir." He made a deliberate paused before he said, "When I followed your men, I don't hope to get out alive anyway. Just end me. I'd rather die than adding my guilt."
Hearing his words, Lt. General Haric's hand slipped from his shoulder. "Are you really going to choose that?" He whispered, finding it hard to believe his own ears. It's not easy for him to do that! But if Maverick insisted to turn his back on him, he must do it for the sake of the country he dreamed of!
"Yes. Kill me. Besides, my life is already in your hands since seven years ago." Maverick stood firm in his decision. His voice was unyielding and there was not a hint of fear on his face!
He was prepared for this. His life already went wrong ever since the day he witnessed what he shouldn't. But at that time, he wasn't brave enough to stand firm in his belief while Marvin Arista died for doing the opposite.
Sometimes, he used to find his life so laughable. A single night ruined his whole life! He often wondered how his life must be now if he didn't witness that scene. Would he be an upright Army Officer like he always wanted ever since he was a child? But it's too late now.

Felix didn't saw it coming at all! He was waiting for her to give him an answer, but this was beyond his expectations! His eyes grew wide in disbelief!

"What did you say?" He cannot believe his ears. He wanted to make sure that he didn't hear her wrong.

"I said I love you, you fool! I -"

Before Yelena could finish her words, Felix rose from his seat, bend down once again and sealed her lips with a gentle kiss.

Felix slowly pulled his head back and gently held her on the neck. Yelena could feel the rapid thumping of his heartbeat which match hers.

"Don't you dare go back on your words. If necessary, I will even chase you to the end of the earth." His lips curved into a smile.

"The same goes for you." She replied confidently.

"Then what will you do to me?" He asked her.

Yelena pointed at her wound. "I'll shoot you. The pain will be two folds compared to this." She said with a devilish smile.

She then leaned towards him and whisper in his ear. "You may not know, but I'm a good shooter."

Felix chuckled at her response. "Is this how it feels to have a soldier as a girlfriend? But why do I have a feeling that you will try to shoot me even if I upset you a little?" He teased her.

"Will you make me upset then?" She said with a serious tone.

"No, ma'am!" He responded right away.

Edgar merebahkan dirinya duduk disamping Olivier. Baru saja merebahkan diri, hujan datang tiba tiba mengguyur tubuh mereka berdua. Olivier segera membopong tubuh Edgar. Olivier melindungi Edgar dari hujan dengan tubuh besarnya. Olivier berlari dengan cepat, langkahnya sangat jauh, sesekali ia melompati akar pohon yang menyembul dari dalam tanah. Edgar memperhatikan wajah Olivier, kepalanya terbenam di dada, lebih tepatnya di payudara Olivier yang membusung, membuat puting Olivier menyentuh hidung Edgar. Edgar berusaha mengalihkan, namun dekapan Olivier terlalu kuat sehingga Edgar pasrah harus mengendus puting milik Olivier.

Mereka tiba di sebuah bangunan tua seperti castil yang tampak menakutkan dari luar. Olivier menurunkan tubuh Edgar tepat di pintu bangunan itu. Olivier membuka pintu yang sebesar dirinya, pintu berderit, keadaan didalam gelap. Olivier masuk disusul Edgar. Edgar mengambil korek api dari dalam saku celana. Edgar menemukan dua obor lalu menyalakan obor yang terpasang di dinding, suasana seketika berubah terang oleh cahaya obor tersebut.

"Terima kasih, Celanamu jadi basah karena aku" Ujar Edgar 

"tidak masalah, aku bisa menjemurnya nanti" Jawab Olivier.

Bangunan itu cukup luas, ada cerobong asap, dibawahnya terdapat tungku perapian dan juga satu tempat tidur disisi pojok ruangan. Olivier mengambil kain yang menutupi tempat tidur itu, ia melepas celana panjang dan juga celana dalamnya bersamaan. Olivier menggantungnya di tengkorang hewan yang ada di dinding disamping obor yang menyala. Olivier menutupi tubuhnya dengan kain. Mata Edgar memejam, ia tampak jelas melihat bongkahan di tengah paha Olivier, suatu benda seukuran tangan Edgar menggantung karena kain yang terlalu tipis, tapi Olivier cuek, sama sekali tak menyadari jika ia sama saja seperti tak menggunakan pakaian sama sekali.

Olivier berjalan mengambil obor, ia menyalakan tungku perapian yang masih tersisa kayu bakar dengan obor di tangannya, udara sangat dingin, hujan juga semakin deras, sehingga Olivier duduk didepan perapian untuk menghangatkan tubuhnya disana.

"siapa yang membangun rumah seperti ini didalam hutan" Gumam Edgar memandangi sisi dinding yang mulai dipenuhi sarang laba laba.

"ini bekas penginapan King saat peperangan 3 tahun yang lalu" Sahut Olivier yang mendengar Edgar menggumam.

"sebaiknya kau beristirahat tuan Edgar, kita akan melanjutkan perjalanan besok pagi" Ujar Olivier menambahkan.

Edgar berjalan mendekat dan duduk disamping Olivier yang sejak tadi membelakanginya, Edgar melepas bajunya, walaupun terlindungi oleh tubuh Olivier saat hujan, bajunya masih sempat basah, Edgar tersenyum tipis, hujan semakin deras, disertai angin kencang yang masuk melalui celah ventilasi.

"apa kau mempunyai kekasih?" Tanya Edgar membuat Olivier mendelik.

"tidak" Jawab Olivier singkat.

"Kau beruntung menjadi Giant"

"kenapa kau berkata seperti itu?" Tanya Olivier

"Orang orang dari wilayah kalian menjadi bagian penting di Istana kerajaan, dianugerahi banyak keahlian, kalian hebat dalam berperang, bela diri, pandai besi, ah, aku iri sekali, terkadang aku merasa kurang beruntung lahir di wilayah Erei" Keluh Edgar tertunduk lesu

"apa yang kau dengar tak seperti yang terlihat"

"maksudmu?"

"hidup penduduk di wilayah Muscula tak begitu indah, kami memiliki tanah yang tandus, hutan kodong tak memiliki hewan yang dapat diburu, pertanian dan peternakan pun tidak ada, hidup kami hanya didedikasikan untuk berperang dan membantu persenjataan kerajaan, tak ada waktu untuk diri kami sendiri, jangankan menikah, memiliki kekasih seperti pertanyaanmu sebelumnya bahkan tak pernah ada dibenak kami, penduduk Muscula hidup tanpa rasa cinta, lalu apa indahnya" Ujar Olivier menjelaskan.

"terkadang aku benci dengan adat yang entah kebenarannya valid atau tidak" Tambah Olivier

"maksudmu?" Edgar terheran, ia menggaruk kepalanya tanda tak mengerti.

"Kau percaya dengan adat yang sudah turun temurun dilakukan Fikseidon?" 

"Kau pernah menanyakan hal ini padaku di hutan" jawab Edgar.

"sejujurnya aku tak mempercayai itu tuan"

"sebelum Aku bertanya kenapa Kau tidak percaya, bisakah Kau memanggilku dengan nama Edgar atau Eddy sesuai nama kecilku, aku merasa tersanjung Kau menyebutku tuan"

"Baiklah Eddy, sebelum aku menceritakan alasanku kenapa aku tak mempercayai adat ini, bisakah kau memanggilku Olivier sesuai namaku?"

Edgar Mengangguk

"lalu apa yang membuatmu tidak percaya Olly?" Tanya Edgar

"entahlah, aku belum bisa menjelaskannya, aku merasakan suatu kejanggalan yang terjadi di Fikseidon"

Edgar memandang Olivier sambil tersenyum, "yakin tidak yakin, kau tetap harus membunuhku di bukit Feogor bukan?"

Olivier mengernyitkan dahinya, Ia bertatapan dengan Edgar, "bagaimana kau tahu jika aku yang akan melakukan itu, Eddy?"

"aku sudah mengetahuinya, seorang Ficer akan dibunuh oleh seorang pengawal di bukit Feogor menggunakan Pedang yang tertancap di batu bukit Feogor, begitu bukan?"

"sebaiknya kau beristirahat" Ujar Olivier mengalihkan pembicaraan

"baiklah, aku harus menyiapkan tenaga untuk akhirnya dipenggal olehmu" Edgar beranjak dari tempat duduknya, ia berjalan ke kasur kecil yang tidak jauh dari perapian, merebahkan diri disana, angin kencang dari ventilasi mulai menusuk kulitnya karena Edgar cukup jauh dari bara api yang menyala.

"Olly, jika kau memenggal kepalaku, aku mohon lakukan dengan cepat agar aku tak tersiksa dengan kematianku" Ujar Edgar memejamkan meringkuk menahan dingin.

Olivier tersenyum, ia tak pernah bertemu dengan orang yang mempunyai semangat dan jiwa yang periang seperti Edgar, bahkan diujung mautnya yang sebentar lagi akan tiba, Edgar masih tampak tenang dan bahagia. Edgar sudah tertidur, suara dengkurannya yang pelan terdengar oleh Olivier, Olivier memandang wajah Edgar, ada suatu perasaan nyaman didalam hatinya. Melihat Edgar meringkuk kedinginan, Olivier melepas kain yang melilit bagian bawahnya, ia jadikan kain itu selimut untuk Edgar, Olivier ikut merebahkan tubuhnya yang telanjang disamping Edgar, Ia terlentang menghadap langit langit bangunan, matanya terpejam, perlahan Olivier menyusul Edgar ke alam mimpi.

Pagi menjelang, sinar mentari masuk melalui celah ventilasi, obor yang menyala telah mati karena kehabisan minyak, begitupun juga dengan api yang menyala di cerobong asap, hujan sudah reda berganti cahaya cerah nan sejuk diluar sana, beberapa kelinci melompat ceria, burung burung berkicau seolah bernyanyi dan tertawa.

Edgar bangun dari tidur, Ia merasakan sesuatu yang menghalangi kepalanya, mata Edgar terbelalak ketika mendapati tubuh telanjang Olivier disampingnya, dengan lengan Olivier yang menjadi alas kepala Edgar, tenggorokan Edgar menelan ludah, sesuatu yang menggantung di selangkangan Olivier terlihat jelas, sesuatu yang berdenyut dengan urat urat besar, bentuknya benar benar sebesar lengan Edgar, dihiasi bulu bulu halus berwarna hitam tertata rapi diatas benda yang menggantung, tangan Edgar ingin menggapainya, namun ia tahan, Edgar bangkit dari tidur, melepas kain yang menyelimuti dirinya, dengan segera ia menutupi bagian sensitif di tubuh Olivier.

"sial, besar sekali" Pekik Edgar didalam hati.

Olivier yang merasakan sentuhan kain menjadi terbangun, ia mengerjapkan mata, tangannya mengusap kelopak matanya dengan gerakan pelan.

"kau sudah bangun ed?" Tanya Olivier melihat Edgar yang duduk meringkuk menempel di dinding.

"ah, iya, aku sudah bangun sejak tadi" Jawab Edgar terbata bata.

"hei, kau terlihat seperti orang yang ketakutan?" Tanya Olivier lagi

Edgar memaki didalam hati, ingin rasanya ia meneriakkan semua karena ulah Olivier yang sembarangan telanjang disampingnya, ingin Edgar mengatakan jangan melakukan hal seenaknya, karena hal itu membuat jantungnya berdegup kencang dan darahnya berdesir hebat.

Olivier mendekat, tangannya meraih wajah edgar, hanya dengan dua jari Olivier mampu merengkuh pipi edgar, ia tersenyum menyeringai.

"kau tampak menggemaskan dengan ekspresi seperti ini" Pujinya membuat wajah Edgar bersemu kemerahan.

Edgar terdiam tak mampu bergerak, tubuhnya mematung bertemu pandangan dengan Olivier, perlahan wajah Olivier mendekat, hembusan nafas Olivier sangat terasa di wajah Edgar, Edgar memejamkan mata, bibirnya sedikit maju, ia tampak pasrah menerima ciuman dari Olivier.

"Pipimu kotor" Ucap Olivier mengusap pipi Edgar yang kejatuhan sarang laba laba.

Edgar membuka mata, ia memaki lagi didalam hati, bisa bisanya ia berpikir Olivier akan menciumnya, Edgar terlihat frustasi masih memaki kebodohannya.

"Kau kenapa? apa kau berpikiran aku akan menciummu?" Tanya Olivier tersenyum.

"jangan terlalu percaya diri, aku bahkan tak tertarik dengan bibirmu" sahut Edgar.

Sebuah ciuman mendarat di bibir Edgar, mata Edgar melotot tak percaya, tubuhnya tak bergerak bahkan tak menolak, hembusan nafas Olivier menyatu dengan hembusan nafas Edgar, ah rasanya sangat nyaman, Edgar membatin, tangan Edgar kaku, tak dapat ia gerakkan, ia benar pasrah saat bibir Olivier melumat bibirnya, bahkan lumatan Olivier menyentuh hidung Edgar, jelas saja, ukuran mulut Olivier jauh lebih besar dari mulut Edgar.

"Anggap saja itu ucapan selamat pagi dariku" Ucap Olivier melepas pagutan bibirnya.

Edgar bernafas lega. Ia hampir kehabisan nafas dibuat Olivier, wajah Edgar kian bersemu kemerahan, Olivier bangkit, kain putih yang menutupi kemaluannya terjatuh, lagi lagi benda panjang di selangkangan Olivier menjuntai persis didepan wajah Edgar, membuat Edgar kembali menelan ludah. Olivier berbalik, Ia berjalan mengambil celananya yang tergantung. Olivier memakai celananya yang cukup mengering, kemaluan Olivier masih jelas terlihat dari belahan pahanya yang tersingkap saat satu persatu kaki Olivier memasuki lubang celana, hingga akhirnya Celana Olivier menutupi seluruh bagian bawah tubuhnya.

"Ed, kau masih ingin duduk disitu atau ingin melanjutkan perjalanan?" Tanya Olivier membuyarkan pandangan dan lamunan Edgar.

"aaa,..ee.." Edgar terbata bata tak tahu harus berkata apa, ia mengambil bajunya, kemudian memakai baju dan segera mengikuti Olivier yang sudah berjalan keluar ke arah pintu.

Mereka berdua berjalan meninggalkan bangunan tua menuju ke bagian timur, di depan bangunan terlihat buah buahan liar yang dimakan burung burung hutan. Olivier menggapai buah itu beberapa, buah berbentuk seperti Apel dengan warna orange menyala, Olivier memberikan buah tersebut ke Edgar. Edgar menyambutnya penuh senyum dan langsung memakan buah itu, mereka melanjutkan langkah sambil menikmati buah yang mereka makan.

"aaah segar, pagi yang indah" Teriak Edgar menghirup udara pagi yang memang sangat segar, embun masih membasahi rumput rumput yang bergoyang, Olivier tersenyum disamping Edgar.

"jiwamu penuh keceriaan Ed, aku iri padamu" Ujar Olivier.

"sebentar lagi aku akan mati, apa salahnya aku menikmati sisa sisa hidupku" Jawab Edgar sambil mengigit lalu mengunyah buah yang ia pegang.

"Bagaimana tidurmu semalam?" tanya Olivier

"tentu saja indah jika kau tidak ada disampingku"

"kenapa bisa begitu?"

"aku benci itu, membuatku tidak percaya diri dengan ukuranku" tunjuk Edgar mengarah keselangkangan Olivier. Olivier malah tertawa cukup kencang.

"jangan terlalu membenci, Aku khawatir kelak kau akan menyukainya" ledek Olivier membuat Edgar mendengus menahan kesal.

Perjalanan kembali mereka lanjutkan dengan penuh bercengkrama, mereka tak tampak seperti Ficer dan Guard yang sedang menjalankan adat, dengan penuh keceriaan menyusuri hutan belantara, melewati Borka River, sebuah aliran sungai yang membelah Sura dan Femigo, Olivier mengisi botolnya menggunakan Air tersebut.

"Edd, apa kau mempunyai permintaan kedua?" Tanya Olivier yang berada di pinggiran sungai yang cukup deras dengan bebatuan yang besar, Ia baru saja mengisi botolnya penuh.

"Aku tidak pernah meminta apapun" Jawab Edgar yang ada dibelakang Olivier.

"kalau begitu, permintaan keduamu biar aku yang mengambilnya" balas Olivier

"dasar Giant aneh" Gerutu Edgar pelan, Dia yang memberi permintaan, kenapa dia yang meminta pada dirinya sendiri.

"Aku ingin merendam tubuhku sebentar, mau ikut?" Ujar Olivier perlahan membuka celananya, Olivier kembali telanjang didepan Edgar, Edgar berusaha mengalihkan matanya, ia tidak mau kenyang meminum air liur setiap melihat tubuh telanjang Olivier.

Olivier berjalan ke dalam sungai, perlahan bagian tubuhnya tenggelam sampai ke pinggang, Edgar berjalan kepinggir sungai menyentuh air, Edgar merasakan kesegaran air itu, ingin rasanya dia ikut berendam seperti yang Olivier lakukan, tapi ia menahan hasratnya.

"kau yakin tidak ingin bergabung denganku didalam sini, rasanya segar sekali, otot otot kakiku menjadi lebih santai" Ujar Olivier yang mulai bersandar di batu besar ditengah sungai.

Didalam hati Edgar, dia sangat ingin melakukannya, namun sebagian hatinya menolak. Ia takut jika harus berdekatan dengan tubuh Olivier yang telanjang, namun kesegaran air sungai seolah menariknya untuk ikut terjun kedalam. Seperti terhipnotis, Edgar melepas seluruh pakaiannya. Ia telanjang seperti Olivier. Edgar melompat ke dasar sungai, segar sekali batinnya, ternyata yang dikatakan Olivier benar, otot otot kakinya yang letih berjalan kembali relax.

Edgar menghampiri Olivier, lalu ikut bersandar disebelahnya, perasaannya benar benar nyaman dan sejuk berkat air dari Borka river.

"Terima kasih Olly" Ujar Edgar menyandarkan kepalanya di batu

"untuk apa?" Tanya Olivier kebingungan.

"Aku pikir hidupku akan berakhir, aku pikir kau akan mencincangku habis habisan selama diperjalanan" Jawab Edgar tertawa pelan.

"hidupmu akan berakhir sendiri 5 hari lagi, untuk apa aku menyiksamu" Olivier membuat Edgar menggelengkan kepala karena kesal.

"apa Kau tidak dapat membuatku bahagia sedikit saja, kenapa harus membahas kematian" Gerutu Edgar, Olivier tertawa disebelahnya.

"Aku harap ini membuatmu bahagia"

Olivier merengkuh tubuh Edgar, menarik tubuh Edgar kedalam pelukannya. Olivier kembali mencium Edgar seperti yang ia lakukan dibangunan tua tadi pagi, mata Edgar terpejam, tangannya berpindah ke dada Olivier. Edgar sama sekali tak menolak lagi, Edgar menyukai ciuman Olivier, Ia sangat menikmatinya. Bibir lebar Olivier seolah melumat seluruh wajahnya, lidah Olivier menyapu seluruh bibir Edgar, menyeruak masuk membasahi rongga mulut Edgar, Edgar mendesah tertahan.

Tangan besar Olivier memeluk tubuh Edgar, membuat Edgar seolah hilang didalam pelukannya, sesuatu didalam sungai mencuat menembus permukaan, itu batang kejantanan Olivier, milik raksasa itu menjadi penengah diantara mereka, menyentuh dada Edgar, Bahkan menyentuh dagunya yang sedang berpagutan dengan Olivier.

Olivier menggeser sedikit tubuhnya kebelakang, membiarkan kejantanannya berdiri ditengah tengah mereka berdua, tangan Edgar beralih memegang batang kejantanan milik Olivier. Edgar memberikan pijatan lembut dengan kedua tangannya, Olivier mendesah kencang.

Dibalik pepohonan, Edgar dan Olivier tak menyadari ada seseorang yang memakai jubah hitam memperhatikan mereka berdua yang sedang bercumbu di sungai. Seseorang itu menulis sebuah surat, kemudian ia menggulung surat tersebut dan memberikan ke seekor burung gagak berwarna hitam yang bertengger diatas pohon tempat persembunyiannya.

"sampaikan ini kepada Tuanku yang agung" Ujarnya mengikatkan sepucuk surat itu di kaki burung gagak hitam, dengan gagah gagak hitam itu terbang tinggi meninggalkan Bullwyn.

"bodoh" lirih Orang berjubah itu pelan, kemudian ia menghilang menggunakan lingkaran yang memperlihatkan dimensi lain dengan jentikan jarinya.

"Edgar! kamu mencari siapa sayang?" panggil Erin menarik lengan Edgar dan membawa Edgar ke depan agar tidak kembali ke belakang.
"Aku mencari Maya, apa kamu melihatnya?" tanya Edgar dengan tatapan tajam.
"Aku tidak tahu, dari tadi aku di sini." ucap Erin sambil merangkul leher Edgar.
"Aku harus mencarinya." ucap Edgar dengan nada dingin seraya melepas rangkulan Erin.
"Kamu mencari kemana Edgar? siapa tahu Maya mendapat pelanggan baru dan pergi dengan pelanggannya. Kenapa kamu pusing pusing mencarinya Edgar?" ucap Erin seraya menarik lengan Edgar.
"Lepaskan tanganmu, aku akan mencari Maya lebih dulu. Aku tidak bisa membiarkan terjadi sesuatu pada Maya." ucap Edgar kembali melepas tangan Erin yang sedang memegang lengannya.
"Edgar!! Edgar tunggu! Edgar!! Aakkhhh!! sial!" umpat Erin saat Edgar berjalan cepat kembali ke belakang.
Edgar mengedarkan pandangannya ke sekeliling ruangan. 
"Di mana kamu Maya?" tanya Edgar dalam hati sambil mencari ke semua sudut ruangan, hingga kedua mata Edgar melihat ke arah toilet yang ada di pojok ruangan yang sepi.
"Apa Maya ke toilet?" tanya Edgar berdiri di tempatnya dengan pandangannya tak lepas ke arah toilet.
Setelah beberapa saat berpikir, Edgar berjalan ke arah toilet. Semakin mendekati tempat toilet sayup-sayup Edgar mendengar teriakkan suara wanita dari dalam toilet wanita.
Edgar memasang pendengarannya merasa mengenal suara teriakan minta tolong wanita yang ada di toilet.
"Maya!! bukankah itu suara Maya?" ucap Edgar dengan cepat masuk ke ruang toilet dan mencari toilet di mana suara Maya berada.
"Maya!! Maya!! kamukah itu!" panggil Edgar dengan berteriak.
"Edgar!! tolong aku!" teriak Maya masih berontak dengan membabi buta. Entah itu menggigit atau menendang bahkan Maya sempat meludahi beberapa kali ke wajah dua orang yang berniat melecehkannya.
Mendengar suara Maya yang begitu jelas dari kamar toilet yang berada paling pojok, segera Edgar mendobrak pintu toilet dan menghajar habis kedua orang yang sedang memegang kedua tangan Maya.

"Kurang ajar kalian!! berani-beraninya kamu memegang wanitaku!! Apa kalian tidak tahu siapa aku hah!!" ucap Edgar dengan suara keras memukul beberapa kali perut dan wajah dua orang suruhan Erin.
Merasa kalah dengan Edgar, salah satu orang suruhan Erin mengeluarkan pisau dari dalam kantongnya. Tanpa memberi kesempatan lagi orang itu mengarahkan pisaunya ke dada Edgar, tapi dengan cepat Edgar berkelit dan pisau itu hanya melukai lengannya.
Melihat hal itu, Maya melepas sepatunya yang berhak tinggi dan memukul keras kepala orang yang hendak melukai Edgar lagi.
Dengan di bantu Maya, akhirnya Edgar bisa mengalahkan kedua orang suruhan Erin. Tapi sayangnya kedua orang itu bisa meloloskan diri dan menghilang entah kemana.
"Kemana larinya mereka?" ucap Edgar seraya bersandar di dinding dengan nafas naik turun.
"Edgar, apa kamu baik-baik saja?" tanya Maya sambil memakai sepatunya.
"Aku baik-baik saja." ucap Edgar seraya melepas jaketnya dan di berikan pada Maya.
"Pakailah." ucap Edgar melihat pakaian atasan Maya yang robek lebar.
"Hem... terima kasih." ucap Maya dengan perasaan serba salah memakai jaket Edgar.
"Ayo... kita pulang." ucap Edgar tanpa menghiraukan luka yang ada di lengannya.
"Tunggu sebentar!! luka kamu berdarah."ucap Maya seraya merobek pakaiannya yang sudah robek dan di balutkan pada lengan Edgar yang terluka.
"Maya, apa yang kamu lakukan? pakaian kamu kenapa malah kamu robek?" tanya Edgar tak mengerti dengan jalan pikiran Maya.
"Ada jaket kamu yang menutupi badanku, kamu tenang saja." ucap Maya dengan santai sambil mengikat balutan yang ada di lengan Edgar.
"Nah...sudah selesai. Sekarang kita bisa pulang." ucap Maya sambil menarik ke atas resleting jaket yang di pakainya.
"Tunggu Maya, aku mau memberitahu masalah ini dulu pada Evan." ucap Edgar berniat mencari tahu siapa dua orang yang telah berani melecehkan Maya.
"Ssttt!! tidak usah! sebaiknya kita pulang saja. Dan lagi lengan kamu terluka, aku tidak mau luka kamu menjadi infeksi." ucap Maya seraya menarik lengan Edgar dan membawanya keluar dari kedai Evan.
Bagaikan anak kucing, Edgar menurut saja saat Maya menggenggam tangannya. Bahkan saat Erin memanggil namanya, Edgar tidak sedikitpun menoleh ke arah Erin.
Erin berteriak keras sambil melebar gelas yang ada di tangannya.
"Sialan!! kurang ajar kamu Maya! lihat saja, kali ini kamu bisa selamat. Tapi tidak lain kali!" ucap Erin dengan kedua tangannya terkepal.

"Kemarilah dan duduk." ucap Maya setelah mengambil baskom berisi air dan kaos bersih milik Edgar yang tidak terpakai.
"Ada apa? kenapa aku harus duduk? aku mau tidur, aku ngantuk." ucap Edgar berdiri tegak di hadapan Maya.
"Ccckkk!! duduk kataku." ucap Maya sambil menarik tangan Edgar agar duduk di sampingnya.
"Maya! ada apa sih!! dan apa ini? ada air? dan buat apa kaos lamaku ini?" tanya Edgar tak mengerti.
"Sssttt!! sudah diam!" ucap Maya seraya melepas kemeja Edgar dengan kasar.
"Eeiitt!! apa yang kamu lakukan!! apa kamu mau memperkosaku!" ucap Edgar seraya merebut kemejanya dari tangan Maya.
"Kamu jangan besar kepala!! siapa yang mau memperkosa kamu? aku hanya mau membersihkan luka kamu agar tidak infeksi." ucap Maya tanpa melihat Edgar membasahi handuk kecil dengan air kemudian membersikan luka robek di lengan Edgar.
"Dengar ya, kalau luka kamu ini tidak dibersihkan dengan cepat. Kamu bisa saja mengalami infeksi, dan kalau sudah infeksi tubuh kamu bisa membiru dan akhirnya bisa mati! dengar tidak apa kataku?" ucap Maya sambil membalut luka Edgar dengan kaos bersih milik Edgar dan mengikatnya dengan pelan.
Edgar menatap penuh wajah Maya, kemudian bangun dari duduknya.
"Aku tidak tahu harus bilang apa padamu. Setiap kali kamu bicara padaku, ucapan kamu sangat pedas sekali!" ucap Edgar sambil menekan pelipisnya.
"Dan sekarang... dengarkan aku Nona Maya! luka ini! tidak akan bisa membuatku membiru dan mati! karena aku bukan laki-laki lemah! kamu harus tahu itu!" ucap Edgar sambil melepas balutan kain yang ada di lengannya kemudian beranjak dari tempatnya dan masuk ke dalam kamar.
"Keras kepala sekali!! lihat saja nanti!! kalau sudah infeksi baru tahu rasa!" ucap Maya seraya mengambil bekas kain yang ada di lantai setelah di buang Edgar.
Dengan kesal, Maya membereskan air baskom yang sudah berwarna merah juga kain kaos bekas membersihkan luka Edgar.
"Aku bisa gila menghadapi laki-laki keras kepala itu." ucap Maya seraya membersihkan tangannya kemudian masuk ke dalam kamar.
Di dalam kamar Edgar menghempaskan tubuhnya di atas tempat tidur.
"Entah! lidahnya terbuat dari apa? kenapa setiap ucapan yang keluar dari mulutnya tidak pernah manis sekali." ucap Edgar sambil melihat lukanya yang lebar tanpa ada balutan lagi.

"Hai!! apaa...yang kamu lakukan?" Teriak Maya saat tubuh besar Edgar menindihnya di balik semak belukar tempat di mana dia bersembunyi dari kejaran Anton pelanggannya yang punya jiwa piskopat.

"Diamlah!! selamatkan aku dari kejaran polisi-polisi itu, dan aku akan menyelamatkanmu!" Bisik Edgar seraya menyapu bersih bibir lembab Maya dengan nafasnya yang terengah-engah.


Seorang wanita Maya Kamila (25 th) yang bekerja di Dunia malam sebagai seorang pelacur panggilan dengan tarif tinggi yang tidak sembarang orang laki-laki bisa menyewanya.

Edgar Candra (27th) seorang kepala gembong mafia yang menjadi buronan polisi karena di duga telah membunuh anggota Polisi yang sedang bertugas. 

Mereka bertemu dalam situasi yang sama-sama menegangkan. Maya melarikan diri dari pelanggannya yang punya jiwa piskopat dan Edgar melarikan diri dari kejaran polisi yang menginginkan kematiannya.

Rome said to Julia: "Edgar should not have come with us." 
Julia replied: "Yes, I am also worried, he will get in trouble when he gets back."
Edgar said: "You know I am here, when you are alone Talk about me."
Edgar Sighs
Edgar tells The two couples : "You fool, do not worry about me, as long as you are safe that fine i will get back home when i am finished"
Rome answers : " How lucky i am to have a brave friend like you"

Morning has come and the time is 8: 45 Edgar wakes up from his sleep and notices they are already on an island.
Edgar also notices that Rome and Julia are already gone
Edgar walks out of the ship
Edgar starts yelling both Julia and Romes names..... after yeling for them edgar did not get an answer.
Edgar starts to get worried
20 Minutes later .... after searching the forest and yelling their names 
Edgar sees a big fire in the middle of the forest and feels chills in his body.
Edgar then feels the energy of his friend Rome and starts running toward the fire and the energy.
As he got to the scene his eyes gets widen scary schocked worried.
Edgar sees the body of Julia on a cross and A kneeld Rome before a demon 
Edgar screams : "Rome .... Julia"
Rome notices him and turns his head towards him while crying 
Rome with tears said : "Sorry friend"
The demon slaps rome, so the powerful slap send his head flying off thus landing before Edgar
Edgar tears fall down and looks at the dead head whilst crying and shuts his mouth and then screams
The demons see him and walks towards him, one of the demons crushes the head of Romes
They come before Edgar and the first demon before him smirks and gets his hand ready to slap Edgar
God created mankind in purpose to taste them there are several sins that god created and test you with it.
If you fall for it the heavens door are closed on you once you die ... the worst sin of all is the being devil.
Edgars heart starts beating faster than ever before and a black force rises and he sees him self before a throne
The devil that sleeps within the heart of Edgar, whispers in his heart  : " Want revenge, you have the power ... Just take the action "
Edgar smirks and uses his power
Edgar says the name of his technique: "Gravity Style : Devil"
The Heads of the demons before Edgar Gets ripped off.
Edgar gets emotional and screams : " You filthy demons "
The demons who killed julia and around the forest run towards Edgar
Edgar uses another technique : " Gravity Style " Kneel "
Every demon on the island kneels towards him. (Island Area : 755,830km²)
Edgar is using only 60 Precent of his power but his energy is so massive that the humans in Mrovland ( Humaland ) felt it.
Adam ( The Father of all Humans, 50,000+ years old )
Old man Adam is sitting on his throne thinking : " A child of mine faied the test may god forgive him "
Edgar smirks and laughs before the demons that are kneeling before him with the worried face the demons try to escape the seaing.
After screaming and trying they can not stand up they are stil  kneeling before Edgar.
Edgar smirks and raises his hand and screams: "fall down my precious star and cease them from existens"
Edgar foats and looks down upon the demons and says the name of his technique : " Colapsing Star "
The star is coming down from the sky. ( 1,000,000 Km² )
The Star comes closer to the island.
Humans elves dwarfs werewolfs vampires all witness the big star falling down.
The star hits the island.
After the big explosion that has shooked the world.
The Drndland has became a flat earth.
With nobody to be located.
Every demon has became a sand and skull.
Except for edgar.
Edgar lands on the ground.
Edgar looks before him a person from some distance away coming towards him.
The person comes before Edgar and looks down on him.

The guy before Edgar is the father of all demons Satan
Satan laughs and says : "a human killed all of my children, why did the son of Adam did such a thing."
Edgar looks at Satans face with an angry face.
Satan hits Edgar in the belly sending him flying. Edgar coughs bood.
Edgar after getting hit now is above the Clouds and thinks
" Is this a power of a father "
Satan jumps from the Ground shaking the earth itself.
Satans is now above Edgar and hits Edgar with his Right foot, Edgar collapses on the ground and bleeds.
Edgar on the ground raises his head and screams : " You fillthy Creature "
Edgar tells Satan: "It was you, the man who created jealousy and the father who hates humans the most."
Satan flying back down to earth and says : "ohhhh"
Satan lands on ground and tells him : " I know what you are trying to do, you keep reminding me i am father but i do not care, killing you will make my children happy "
Facts : A Father is not allowed to take any action or they are fallen from their grace by god.
Edgar smirks and tells Satan : "well the hell was created for you."
Satan smirks laughs and tells Edgar" Then lets enjoy it together "
Edgar with the angry face stand up
Edgar uses a teqnuique
" Gravgity Style : Kneel "
Satan feels the strong power and he's affected however resist to kneel with his ultimate strength power.
Satan hits edgar with his right foot ... edgar resist to get fly off with his gravity.
Satan moves with his Ultimate speed and is about to hit edgar with Ultimate strength
Edgar flies at superspeed with his gravity technique " Zero Gravity "
The land gets slicide just with the force of the wind
Edgar while flying uses the gravity to manipulate the land and uses a technique " Gravity style : Land Spear " A spear in the formation of land "
Satan Laughs and says
" No spear can cut through my body... my body is The ultimate armor in the universe "
Edgar throws the spear a powerful wind heads towards satan 
Satan smiles evily and smirks gets his hands ready and uses the technique : "Fire Style : Father Fire" 
Two shooting fire beam comes out of his hand and heads towards the spear and satan laughs more
As the fire grew larger and covers the spear the smile of satans face goes away as he notices the fire can not hold the spear
Satan looks closer with his Ultimate Eyes Sight and sees he has covered the spear with water
Edgar screams : "The weakness of fire is water."
Satan says ( screaming )
" I am disappointed i thought you could do better "
Edgar let the spear go and uses another technique " Gravity Style : Devil "
A great force is going through Satans body 
Satan schocked and thinks in his mind
" what is this force of gravity, my head wants to get off of my body "
Satan says as he is being pushed by the force of gravity in his body
" So much force and power lets go 100 Procent "
They both exchange a look and scream letting 100 Procent of their powers out.
Every tribe on earth feel the great power that is being exchanged
The father of all races are being scared of the mortals power
Edgar pulls the cloud with his gravity and points at Satan and Satan gets hit by a lightning strike.
Satan is affected and Edgar says : " Your weakness is lightning i knew that since you absorb the power of earth to get that strong body "
Satan is absorbing earths power from his feet and thinks: " Damn Him "
Edgar creates a great hurricane over Satan and hits him with milion Lightning Strikes
Satan Screams and  heats up his body to its full extend.
The fire and the wind from hurricane fuses and explodes.
As the explosion is done Edgar is before Satan and rips hits heart off, satan collapses on the ground.
The explosion has shaken the earth,  the energy and explosion that were used had made everyone scared on earth.
A wounded edgar walks off the battlefield and collapses on his way.
He looks at the sky and sees the faces of his precious friends and cries.
Edgar thinks in his mind with tears "I beat a father, am i the strongest".
The end Part 1

(3rd POV)

	Edgar who had fainted for several days woke up in a room. When he woke up, he looked surprised because his body was wrapped in bandages and lying on the bed.

	When he realized his disguise magic was still there, he looked a little relieved.

"Oh, you're awake" (Eris)

Said Eris who entered the room, with the bird on her right shoulder.

"So what did you see in there?" (Eris)

"are you watching me again?" (Edgar)

"Don't tell me you're planning everything?" (Edgar)

"Gosh, where might I sacrifice my workers" (Eris)

Hearing her words, Edgar looked annoyed.

"Yes, even though I thought, you will steal items in the forbidden room" (Eris)

'You old Hag' (Edgar)

Edgar thought.

"So, can you tell me everything you saw there?" (Eris)

"Besides the skull monster that appears after the room door is closed" (Eris)

The lying Edgar told Everything he saw inside the room.

"I see," (Eris)

"So you could say, the room is a kind of Ability test place" (Egdar)

Edgar answered.

"How do I know, this is the first time I've been in such a place," (Edgar)

'As Edgar' (Edgar)

He added in his mind.

"Also, you'd better prepare the horse carriage that you promised" (Edgar)

"I almost died because of this Quest" (Edgar)

Eris said to Edgar.

"Hey, is this how you talk to older people?" (Eris)

	The bird on Eris's shoulder flew towards Edgar while carrying a piece of paper in its beak. Then, put down the paper on Edgar's middle chest.

"That is your medical Bill, you should be grateful I paid for it" (Eris)

"Why don't you just use healing magic?" (Edgar)

"Do you think healing you doesn't use healing magic?" (Eris)

Hearing her words, Edgar just fell silent.

"I don't know what happened to you, but if your wound is because you wear your green armor, you shouldn't wear it often" (Eris)

Said Eris who then left the room.

	After Eris closed the door, suddenly Moa entered the room followed by Hakar and Enju.

"Sir"

Said Moa.

	Seeing the three of them, Edgar said in his heart.

"Oh my..."

...

	A few days later, after Edgar had recovered enough. He went to the guild building along with Moa with a bandage still wrapped around his right hand.

	Upon arriving at the guild building, he saw Rona who was talking to Lithea.

	Rona also realizes that her arrival turned to Edgar and smiled happily.

"Dear...!"

Said Rona who ran towards Edgar.

	When Rona tried to hug him, Edgar dodged.

	Because she failed to hug him, Rona said

"Why did you avoid me?"

"Why are you here? Aren't you Herald worker?" (Edgar)

	Quickly, Rona immediately caught Edgar's left hand and hugged him firmly.

"!!!" (Edgar)

"From now on, I am an Alphard worker," (Rona)

"Also, let's get married" (Rona)

"Sir, who is this woman?"

Ask Moa with cold eyes..

...

"Oh, I thought you were his wife"

	Said Rona who was sitting on Edgar's left side. While Moa sat on Edgar's right side, and the three of them sat in chairs with a round table inside the guild building.

"That means," (Rona)

Rona hugged Edgar's left hand quickly.

"I will be your first wife, right?" (Rona)

	Seeing Rona's actions, Moa immediately stood and pointing her sword at Rona neck.

"Do you think your sword will stop me?"

	Said Rona who looked into Moa's eyes with a serious look.

"You two, can you not calm down a little?" (Edgar)

"Especially you, let go of your hand from me" (Edgar)

Edgar said as he turned to Rona.

	Moa lowered his sword, while Rona still hugged Edgar's left hand.

"I'm sorry for making you like this,"

Said Rona with a sad expression.

"Therefore, I will be a good wife, and will serve you with all my heart" (Rona)

	Hearing Rona's words, Moa pointed her sword towards Rona for the second time.

"So Mr. Edgar was hurt like this because of you!?"

Moa said, who looked angry.

"So, your name is Edgar? That's like the name of a Knight" (Rona)

	Because Moa mentions his name accidentally, Edgar can only sigh.

"Then why don't you two just marry that man" (???)

"There is no prohibition in this kingdom, to have more than one wife" (???)

Said a woman, who turned out to be Eris.

"Don't make the situation worse"

Edgar replied when he heard Eris's words.

Eris sat in the fourth seat at the table.

"If you want to accept my advice, why not?" (Eris)

'This hag...'

Edgar said in his mind.

"I know about your relationship with Radge" (Eris)

"Moa seems to like Radge since he was in her village" (Eris)

"While Rona fell in love after meeting him in the Maze some time ago" (Eris)

"So, why don't you win his heart in a fair way? I think Radge will be happier if you are not hostile like this, right Radge?" (Eris)

Eris said, with smiling at Edgar.

"This is ridiculous"

Said Edgar who then stood up and let go of Rona's arms.

"Sir,"

Said Moa who wanted to follow Edgar.

Edgar raised his left hand towards Moa, and said

"That's enough, I want to be alone for now. So please leave me alone okay?"

Then, Edgar left the three of them.

	While Moa could only see Edgar with a sad expression.

"No need to be sad, that's a natural thing for him" (Eris)

	Suddenly, Moa and Rona looked at each other. As if to be ready to kill each other.

"After all, rather than you fighting each other like this, shouldn't you compete for him?" (Eris)

"Yeah, unless one of you wants to gave in" (Eris)

Hearing Eris's words, they both said.

 "Okay, I'll prove how big my love is to him" (Rona)

"As long as the Master has not stated his choice, I will not leave him to you" (Moa)

"It seems that tradition has changed," (Eris)

...

	Meanwhile Edgar was seen walking on the streets of the city,

"That's him! The skull man!" (???)

	Hearing someone's shout behind him, Edgar turned to the direction of the sound. And he saw a bunch of angry men who seemed to want to kill him.

"Right, he has a skull mark on his cheek. He made Miss Morgan leave Herald!!!" (???)

	Shouted one of the men in the front row. They also took out their weapons and prepared to attack Edgar.

	Suspicious of their actions, Edgar took out a black ball from his Inventory.

"Does he want to fight?"

Muttered one of the hordes of men.

	Quickly, Edgar threw the ball at them. After falling to the ground, the ball exploded and released a thick fog that covered the view.

	Because of suspicion, the horde of men is preparing for an attack. And after the fog disappears.

"What? He disappeared?" (???)

"He fled! Find him!" (???)

Said the front man commanded his colleague.

	And Edgar who ran away seemed to run as hard as he could, in the city market area.

'Damn, I thought this would happen. If only my body had recovered' (Edgar)

	After feeling already running far enough, Edgar stopped and taking a breath.

"Mr. Edgar, what happened?" (???)

Said a man.

	When Edgar turned around, apparently the voice came from Hakar who was sweeping the floor of a shop.

"Why are you here?" (Edgar)

"About that ..." (Hakar)

"Dear, is your drink ready" (???)

	Said a woman who came out of the shop carrying a tray of drinks.

Hakar introduced the woman.

"Mr. Edgar, she's Lily, my wife" (Hakar)

"Honey, this is Mr. Edgar I talked about yesterday" (Hakar)

"Thank you for helping my husband's village" (Lily)

"No wonder from yesterday I didn't see you at the inn" (Edgar)

"It can't be helped, just parting with her for a day seems like a week'

Said Hakar, when staring at Lily's eyes

While Lily's face turned red when she looked into Hakar's eyes.

"Dear..." (Lily)

"Lily..." (Hakar)

'Don't be lovey dovey in front of me you,' (Edgar)

"There he is!"

"Catch him!"

"Kill him!"

Shouted a group of pri who chased Edgar from behind.

"Shit" (Edgar)

Seeing that, Edgar immediately ran.

While Hakar and Lily are still looked at each other.

...

	When sunset, Edgar arrived in his room. He also lay bare-chested on the bed, and stared into the sky.

(Edgar POV)

	This is a bad day. First, the Herald woman moved to Alphard. And now I'm being chased by her angry fans.

	Why did I yesterday follow the woman into the forbidden room. Where now she wants me to marry her.

	Yes, physically she is quite pretty. Wait a minute, what have I thought about?

	Why did it happen? What really is on their mind?

	First Moa's Grand farther paired Moa with me, and she didn't seem to mind it.

	Now, Rona suddenly appeared and invited me to get married.

	As I recall, they both knew that I was an Ogre. But why do they seem don't care about it?

Don't say, both of them ...

Ah, it's impossible.

	Logically, of course I would be happy because I was close to two women. But I'm not a pervert who will say

'Sure, let's make lots of kids'

Huh...

Is this because of Eva?

	But clearly, I must be careful of these two people so that I don't cross the line and stung them.

(3rd POV)

	Unconsciously, Edgar fell asleep on his bed. Until the night ...

'Did I forget to close the window?'
