I dreamed of what would have happened if I hadn't slept close to Od.  The goblins captured me cutting the robe that connected me to Od.  They took me to their cave and didn't bother killing me.  Grotesque green maws filled with crooked yellow teeth bit down and ripped chunks out of me.  I screamed and they laughed.  One pointed at me chuckling as blood oozed from my wounds.  They were slow methodical.  My body healed from my injuries and they noticed.  For weeks they kept me ripping chunks out of my body as I grew tougher from the pain.  They let me heal fed me cave mushrooms and used me.  It wasn't until my pain resistance reached lv100 that I was too tough for them to bite through.  Fighting them was still beyond them.  I punched one of my captors only for him to laugh and throttle me.  Green hands wrapped around my neck choking the life out of me.

 I woke up beside Od covered in her black course horse hairs.  She was sweaty, hot, and awake.  "Your legs were moving all night.  What are you running from?  Did you dream you had escaped me somehow?"  Od asked.  
 
 "Now why would I want to escape you?  If I stay with you, I get everything I want in life.  Unless there is something, you're not telling me."  I was feeling better this morning than I had in a long time.  Despite being itchy, starving, and covered in shed horsehair.  I felt good.  That was bad.  Today was Wednesday a break in the horrible week only for the worst yet to come.  

 "Do you have any family Od?"  I asked.  She was already dragging me.  My body was weak far weaker than it should be.  It seemed stats didn't account for hunger.  I was so hungry; I could eat a horse.  

 She turned her head to me, and her ears flattened once more.  Oh, boy it seems I found a weak spot.  She raised her tail and shat in front of me.  I could hear the sticky horse turds comp on the ground one smush after another.  Without looking In Sight told me their consistency, density, and their weight.  Her breasts jiggled in her metal brow as she moved.  
 
 "Tighten this for me."  She said and turned her back to me.  I approached dodging the pile once more.  Rocks and thorns were having their way with my feet, but I was unbothered.  My feet had toughened up.  

 Standing next to her, I had to get on my tip toes to reach her midriff.  Her shoulders were far out of reach.  "Sorry, I can't reach them.  You'll have to take it off and adjust it yourself."  The glare I received was quickly replaced by a thoughtful expression.  Her nose upturned a bit and her ears went flat.  

 She dropped my rope and quickly cut my hands free.  Od galloped around looking around.  My In Sight took hold for a second.  Birds in the trees hid themselves as a predatory force brushed by them.  Drakes in the sky noticed a dark presence and veered away.  Bugs in the earth trembled as a set of mighty hooves shook the ground.  Goblins retreated deeper in their caves.  Wolves shook in their dens.  A force of darkness was unsheathed and waved about like a blade warding off any who would watch them.  Then ever so slowly it sheathed itself again.  Od stopped pacing about their camp and approached me.  



 "You will have to grow taller if you are to become a proper slave.  For now, I will allow you to serve me on my back."  Her ears were flat as she spoke each word.  "This allowance is not in difference to you.  I am the master and you are the slave.  But I have a need and I refuse to disrobe in front of you."   

 "Od are you asking me to climb upon your back and adjust your bra."  She blushed and then glared at me.  My body spasmed as my collar shocked me on the spot.

Receiving a terrible shock 

The shock went on for a few minutes.  It felt like a pissed myself and my body wouldn't stop shaking.  The empty stomach didn't make it any better.  This was perhaps the worst experience I'd ever had.  Then I started laughing.  

I shook on the ground laughing.  While Od stomped her hooves indignant.  

 "What is so funny?"  She shout whispered indignantly.

 "I think being wet with your sweat made the shocks worse."  Our eyes met my blue with her brown.  Her eyebrow raised and her brow crinkled.  Her lips formed a line holding back from asking for more.  "I could laugh or cry.  Crying wouldn't do me any good.  So, I choose to laugh.  Sure, I'll get on your back and adjust your bra.  I have no idea what getting on your back means to you.  I'm human remember."  I said only to receive a cruel smile.  
 
 "I know you are, but you haven't said which village you're from.  There are many to the north."  

 "My village was called America.  It was a beautiful place.  A shame, I will never get to show it to you."

 Truly, I was going to master this skill.   

She trotted about with a look of displeasure on her face.  Her braid moved about as she stomped her hooves.  

 "You really don't know!  If someone mounts a mare for over 30s then that mare can only mate with the one who mounted her.  It is an ancient custom to keep fighting between males to a minimum.  Though your mounting won't be quite so personal."  Od stated.  So that's why I was shocked.  This must have been embarrassing for her and she wants no witnesses.  Who knows what the backlash would be if a man mounted her?  What would Melchior the librarian do in this situation?  

 That was an important question.  Would he better his odds by trying to claim her or keep quiet?  How would I prove that I mounted her?  There are no witnesses.  I don't have a camera or phone to take a picture of the scene or record a 30s video.  I had a grand total of three charisma that wasn't enough to convince her of anything.  

 Wait couldn't she just lay down like she did last night?  Wouldn't that solve this whole issue?  Yes and no, she is clearly a Tsundere.  My body was still shaking from the last shock.  Oh, and there was the fact that she smelled like a barn.  

 She reached out and took my bound hands.  With deft a deft grip she pulled a dagger from her back and cut me free in a single slash.  Blood pressure returned to my hands causing them to throb painfully.  Not painfully enough for another level up it seemed.  

I didn't know what most of my skills did.  They had a name but no description.  A problem for another time.  

Placing my hands on her back, I leapt up pushing down on her back to get up.  Once my stomach was over the crook of her spine, I pulled myself the rest of the way.  Then I adjusted into a proper sitting position putting my heels in her haunches and getting a feel for her.  She let out a sigh as I adjusted.  "You know if we went the rest of the way like this, we would get there much faster."  Being on a horse made me feel tall.  Being on Od made me feel like a giant.  

"Hurry and adjust my straps or I'll buck you."  Od said.  Her ears weren't flat, she might have thought the same.  I looked behind me to see her tail lift and adjust tried to remain still.  It was probably better that I do this now.  Falling from this height wouldn't kill me.  

"I could always lay across your flank like a kill with my arms and legs tied.  Surely that wouldn't count."  She snorted at my words.  

"Truly I found the laziest and most unworthy slave imaginable.  Woe is me to have found one too pampered to walk on his own.  My fellow fillies will mock me for the rest of my days."  Od said in a flat voice.  

"Alright, I get the message."  The straps were made of chain mail of all things.  It was no wonder she wanted some help.  This bra looked uncomfortable.  Taking the bander in the back I adjusted it tightening each side as much as I could.  Then she started to trot forward.  

I tightened my knees around her flank and wrapped my hand around her waist as she took off.  She didn't care if I stayed on her or not as she moved across the landscape at insane speeds.  I managed to turn my head to the side and see the world moving by us.  Just counting the seconds, it took to leave an object I could tell we were going about 80MPH.  Od didn't seem bothered by the speed, she didn't slow down for a good 30minutes.  

When she finally stopped, I let leapt off.

 I laid on the ground exhausted from holding a death grip on her.  For the first 10 minutes I was fine.  Then my stamina vanished, and I had to rely upon my body's natural endurance.  Even enhanced with my stats it was a struggle.  But not a struggle that lead to leveling up the skill struggle.  

 "That feels wonderful.  I haven't had my bra tightened so in a long time.  I've put off buying better bras because of the need for a slave to adjust them. Why didn't I just lay down and let you adjust it?"  Od asked out loud.  I laughed again but it came out as more of a groan.  

 "I didn't think of that either."  I lied.

 "Well from this point forward, I shall lay down for you to adjust my bra.  We are near my homestead tomorrow we will go to the capitol, so I can register you as my slave."  

 "Homestead, do you live alone?"  I asked.  A terrible shock went through my system.  This time I could do nothing but grit and bear it.  It felt less terrible than it had been before.  But she made sure to make it last.

 She didn't want to do it, but she felt it needed to be done.  Melchior Nimrod was her slave.  If she showed him favoritism, then he could be used against her in the capitol.  Are these Od's thoughts?  She had many enemies jealous of her rise from a filly on the street to a powerful martial artist.  She was Od of the Black Moon Sect.  She would be respected especially by this worm.

 "I won't be disrespected by you any further.  If you address me, it will by as mistress Od.  You will never look upon my face or the face of another centaur.  I only allowed you to look upon me because you were still adjusting.  From this point forward you must be an obedient slave.  Do I make myself clear?"  She held her hand out.  If she snapped, her fingers my collar would shock me again.  I didn't know how long it would do so.    My health was down to zero and my clothes were soiled from all the piss.  For now, I had to obey.  

 "Yes, Mistress Od I will obey.  Was teaching me to read a lie?"  Had she been playing me just as I had been playing her.  I was still playing her.  That last shock though long wasn't as effective.  With enough time I could fight it.  

 "No, I will try to get you a job as a librarian in the sect.  Though most of your time will be here in my homestead.  I will have chores for you to complete everyday before you can even think of a job as a librarian.  The adjustment will give me time to smooth it over with my apprentice Altan she is a member of the inner sect while I'm a senior member.  She is tasked with managing the library.  She may help me put you to better use."  My stomach growled again, and her ears twitched.  

 "Mistress what are my duties here."  Od looked at me with a mix of emotions.  I didn't recognize one as shame.  A pity.  

 "Today you will eat, in the morning, I will show you what's expected."

Melchior Nimrod is teleported to a fantasy world and immediatly enslaved to a centauress.  He's strapped with a collar that translates the local langauge and comes up with a bullshit story.  To the centaurs he's the illiterate libraurian who the dark lord's daughter is teaching to read.  

Melchior is biding his time under slavery.  He's a gamer with a anti cultivator collar on.  So long as he continues to level up his skills he should be able to get out of this situation in one piece.

Pale Ron is lying on the boat, it looks like hell pepper. From the throat down to the stomach, it burns like hell. It's like throwing up.


After coughing and vomiting, Ron cleared his stomach of the booze and leaned back on the boat. It's fucking uncomfortable.


A glass of water appeared nearby.


With a sigh, Nami handed him a glass of water, finally partially coming back to life. It's not a state you want to be in again.


"You think you drink water? Why do everything in one fell swoop!"


Nami, who had just brought a glass of water, shouted furiously at Ron. If Ron hadn't already been knocked out, she would have wanted to punch him in the head.


"I didn't mean it! Who knew it was so terrible.]

Welcome everyone who is either new or a returner. This story will be set in Soul Land, as the title says but instead of following Tang San like other novels, mine shall walk a different path. Tang San will walk his usual story until the main tournament. 

The story will follow a reborn protagonist am not an original on a different story he will get wish's, but I will make restrictions on them, so they are not op in the beginning, and he will most likely have a harem not too big, not too small will take suggestions, and instead of twin spirits, he will have three because it's different more info on the auxiliary chapter.

The Towns of WALES, HOLLAND, and AURORA, ERIE COUNTY, NY

It was a Thursday, my afternoon off. It was the day after my dinner with Rick Reynard and nine days after my conference with Lys and her compadres. I had decided to get away from it all and fire out into the landscape on a long ramble - a bushwhack, as we call it - on a slick pair of waxless light touring skis. I had a reason to get out and go for it. I was not looking forward to the weekend.
At a boarding school, the faculty are surrogate parents. Somebody's got to be on the job 24-7. Every once in a while it's my turn. The worst duty imaginable was coming up. We call it, "Officer of the Day."
When it fell to you to be the OD - I know, "overdose" - you were the coordinator of the campus for a whole weekend. You had a clipboard with a full-student list on you at all times, and you were responsible for knowing where every kid was at least presumed to be at any given moment if he was on-campus. You knew the activity he was supposed to be involved with if he was off-campus. People needed to know exactly where to reach you, by phone and in person, at any given moment, too. You yourself were in the gym on Saturday evening and both weekend afternoons, and in a dorm or a dining hall the rest of the time - in theory. I always snuck in a half-hour run in the afternoon. Everybody pretended they didn't know I did, but they all did. Fuck it. Fire me.
You were, though, always on campus and near a phone for a 48 hour stretch from your first class Saturday to breakfast Monday. Nobody has Monday off, anyway, because we have faculty meetings every Monday night. So if you were the OD, you got yourself a few hours short of three full days of duty. You see why I talk about burnout.
The school suits keep trying to find names for the gig that we won't crack on, but good luck. Maybe trying to gild over the nearly-total supervisory focus and shade it into an academic endeavor - any kid who really did want to study on Saturday afternoon knew where to find you, that is, the gym - they started calling it "Weekend Tutorial Facilitator." They did. The initials WTF actually made their way into a couple of the memos and schedules before somebody told our prim headmaster of another thing they could mean. His mind just doesn't go that way. Then it was "Weekend Coordinator," and WC turned into "water closet." I used to just call it TBS, "The Big Stick," as in, up the... Once it got to "Officer of the Day" - How did they miss that one? - and somehow it stayed. I guess they just gave up.
If you were one of the roughly half the faculty that the suits deemed "effective" - effective at discipline - it would fall to your lot on a rotating schedule to be the OD. It was sort of an honor to make the cut as one of the macho guys, but you can have it.
The school had three basic chunks of the year: fall, winter, and spring; and the rule was that you could never be OD twice during any of those spans. Because of the number of faculty versus the number of weekends, odds are that you'll be OD two or three times in any given year. Five times in two years. Other guys indeed got OD-duty only two times a year. I always got it three. Always. Every fucking year. I have kept track. Teachers do that, you know: They count. "Just a roll of the dice," the suits would say to me every spring when the last-semester schedule came out and I spotted my name for the third time that year and went in and argued about it. Hah. The dice, again. I had better enjoy the skiing. I started at two.
I had picked the ideal day for it: 25 degrees, still and sunny, with the occasional flock of clouds. We'd had weeks of frequent light snow and no real bouts of freeze-and-thaw since New Year's. The off-roaders had had a weekend to pack everything down since the last big snowfall. The cover on the open-country trails ought to be neither hip-deep nor ice-hard.
In my part of the state the gas lines and power lines are broad treeless channels like unpaved highways that cut across long distances of the back country. ATVs and snowmobiles tend to follow them, and it's easy to navigate by them as long as you keep your bearings. You come to some uplifting vistas on these main arteries. The snowmobilers forge out from them and break one-lane trails through woods that can be entrancing to explore. On these less-traveled tracks you meet the precious, tree-shadowed sanctuaries - Zen altars made of perspective and brimming boughs - that may not survive the next breeze.
I had settled on taking the trails that edge our campus, following the railroad tracks a kilometer or two north, and climbing a power line up the eastern ridge. I knew eventually I would hit one of the main snowmobile lanes in the county, the road-sized north-south gas line that I was planning to follow north to the big undeveloped county park in the town of Wales. After a bit of touring there, I would come to the juncture of a different gas line and take it west till I dropped to the railroad tracks again and got back to my start. The loop could take me ninety minutes or way more depending on the snow conditions. The total distance might have been no more than fifteen kilometers, though you can hardly judge by the time it takes because of the surprises and holdups you encounter ski touring. It's not like racing on groomed trails.
Lest that solo backcountry endeavor sound dangerous, I should remark that Western New York is not the Rockies. You can get your fool self killed anywhere, but it's harder to do by accident in Erie County. You're seldom much more than a laser-straight mile from a paved and traveled road, even in the wooded country. When you tour at night you can see the lights of streets and houses from most of the open high points. You can sure feel like you are way out there, though, and I had a lot to think over regarding a few of the subjects you've been reading about.
The snow was firm and fast. Where the off-roaders hadn't been at it, it had a crusty top layer about an inch thick that the bite of the sunlight had softened. When I needed to, I could make my own track easily. I could edge pretty well going downhill. It was almost as fast as skiing on tracks at a park or touring center. I kept up a nice tempo, but I was careful not to go race-speed.
You always have to watch it in the open landscape. If you get sweated up and can't keep the pace - if you hit a patch of snow that was difficult to negotiate or have to peck and poke around obstacles - you'll cool off, which could be a problem. If you're way out, you could start to get frostbite, then the chills and hypothermia. No good.
The first climb up the eastern ridge was a route that had always tempted me on those just-right days. It bowed out in the last fifth so you never got a view of the top from the road. Was it wooded? Did it hold gleaming meadows, icy waterfalls, and ice-still creeks? Did it have moody overlooks? That was my day to see where it went, to dream with the trails, fields, ponds and groves I knew would be there.
It was hard getting a kick on the power line, probably half a mile of up at just the wrong pitch. I was skating and quick-herringboning most of the way. Most of the job was poling, and the lats and triceps were getting a buzz. The sight of my blue shadow across the plane of whiteness was intoxicating. I enjoyed the sun, the snow, the brittle air, and the exertion. I was looking forward to getting out from under the hum of the lines, too.
Back country skiing is good for either escaping or thinking. I had started out doing the one, but by the time I had come to the top of the eastern ridge and started following a fairly level one-lane trail through some woods, I had drifted over into the other. My thoughts had focused in on the far more serious scenario to which I was exposed through my recent interviews with members of the executive branch. The whole scene was a puzzle in itself.
My astonishment at this point may not seem natural to you, Reader, if you spend much time with supernatural or paranormal entertainment. The things you are used to encountering in films, TV, or books are far more fantastic than anything you have read in here so far. To you, what you are reading is just a work of fiction represented in words on a page or, maybe someday, a screen. I was living it. And, Reader, you have to understand something that I will emphasize again: I am a country English teacher who collects supernatural and paranormal folklore. I have written a couple books about local legends and sites. Sometimes I get involved past the initial interview, and some situations have an impact on me. I have the reputation of a psychic detective, but I don't experience the stuff I write or read about except as hints and ex post facto. I talk to people who say they've seen the stuff, but it seldom comes even close to real to me. I do believe there is an element to the material world that is not explained by our current scientific thinking. It is nowhere near as fantastic as the things people say or write, and it is not at all reliable or predictable.
I reflected about all the above as I skied. To me, the stories and legends and cases I had written about were based on interesting elements of personal testimony, parallels with classic legend and mythology, and probably some sort of truth at the root, maybe even paranormal truth. My level of belief was higher with many of the Native American reports and subjects to which I'd been exposed. I seldom have any reason to think I have even a hint about the complete story, though, with any paranormal matter. I have learned not to expect certainty.

Back in the car, I try to slide away from Blackout, but she drags me back to her side again. I try to struggle for a few minutes, but she's persistent. Eagle slides into the car on my other side, and I glare daggers at him. He stays as far away from me as he can, almost the opposite of Blackout, who's still holding me tight against her.

"So cutie, why do you want to leave so bad? Isn't it everyone's dream to be chosen?"

"I'm not telling you anything, creep."

"Aw, you're so cute when you're worked up. So, who are you two lovely ladies?" Blackout looks across the car to the other chosen children, taking them both in.

"I'm Dash, and this is Honey."

"Oh, you two are just precious! I can't wait to- mmhg." Eagle leaned over and covered her mouth with his wing.

"We're not supposed to say that yet Blackout. Hold your tongue."

"Hmph, fine."

"So, um, thanks for saving everyone Nova. I'm sorry I didn't help much." Honey looks like she's on the verge of tears, it's obvious she doesn't think she deserves to be here.

"Aw, Honey, you did great! If it weren't for you I don't know if I would have had enough time to get everyone off!" Honey started crying with dash drying to soothe her. I would've helped, but I'm kinda chained up. Honestly, it was probably the right play to put chains on me. I wasn't planning on this Blackout person showing up, though. I guess she has some kind of OD cancellation oddity, I'll have to learn how it works later.

We sat there for a while, Dash talking nonstop about how excited she was, how nice the weather was, and countless other things. About twenty minutes later, we arrived at our destination, wherever that is.

Blackout begins to open the door, but Eagle stops her. "Wait, give me the chain." Blackout rolls her eyes and hands my chain over to Eagle. She escorts Dash and Honey out one door, while Eagle takes me out the other one. 

There are about seven other cars in the parking lot, all bringing my future classmates to the campus. There's a huge glass building in front of us, bustling with students inside from higher classes. It doesn't look like there's a dome or anything over the campus, and I have an unrestricted view of the blue sky.

"Don't try anything funny, please." While I was spacing out, I was activating my oddity without even realizing it. I formed a gust of wind, floating myself behind Eagle.

"If you want to take me, you're gonna have to drag me there by force."

"Okay, whatever. You're light as a feather, that's not gonna be a problem." Darn it, I really do have an awful side effect. He drags me through the air towards the massive gate of the university, and I get a good look at everyone else around me.

It looks like there's about twenty other people, and I bet there's more inside. There are probably also some other people that are going to be coming in late. There are also a few people that will be here to train for support courses, they didn't actually pass the test but signed up to help support the heroes by supplying helpful items and running logistics.

I pay more attention to the air waves around me, increasing my hearing range so I can hear what they're talking about.

"Dude, did you hear what happened?"

"Nah, what?"

"I heard one of the chosen tried to run away!"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I think they tried twice!"

"That's crazy!"

"Yo, do you think it's that girl over there that's chained up?"

"Probably. Man, she's so ungrateful. We all wish we could have gotten chosen, she's so lucky!"

"She is pretty hot though. I'm glad she'll be hanging around campus."

"Bruh, is she floating? This day just keeps getting weirder and weirder."

"I'm just surprised that she's still fighting. I mean, she's already been stopped twice."

"Yeah, she's going against pro heroes after all, there's no way she'll be able to get out now." I already don't like these support people, they're talking trash even though they don't know my reasons for running away. I created a gust of wind and tripped both of them, sending them face first into the concrete. Everyone in the nearby area saw, and they all were laughing at the two people on the ground who tripped over seemingly nothing.

"Nova, you did that, didn't you?"

"Maybe, what's it to you?" Stupid bird.

"Can't you just chill for two seconds? You're already here, there's nothing you can do about it." I respond by tripping him, too. He almost fell, and then almost magically was placed back on his feet.

"Wow Eagle, being bested by a little girl like that? That's not very cool of you!" A person leaning on a light pole nearby stands up and approaches us.
    "I didn't need your help, Magician."

"If it weren't for me you would've fallen face first on the ground like those two kids over there. And the culprit of both cases is this one, isn't it?" He turned towards me and walked closer. I flew myself away from him, only for his eyes to glow a violent purple and be dragged back to him.

"Piss off."

"Aw, that's not very nice. Hey Eagle, let me take her off your hands so you can get that cut of yours checked out."

"Wait, cut? What cut?" Looking down, Eagle notices the large gash I made on his arm in our earlier confrontation. "Oh you little turd, you actually got a nice hit off on me without me knowing. I guess it was a good thing Blackout erased your OD before you hurt me even more."

"Oh, you didn't notice? I got you as soon as I left the car!" Magician burst out in laughter after that comment, and didn't stop for a hot second.

"Wow Eagle," he said, short of breath. "You must be losing your touch! You got such a bad cut from a new recruit who hasn't had any training! I can't wait to see what happens when we actually train her!"

"Damn you, I'm not training here."

"Ooh, she's feisty! I like her. Give it here." Magician reached out for the chain, waiting for Eagle to give it to him.

"No way." Eagle then unfolded his wings and blasted into the sky, catching me completely unaware. I jolted out of Magician's grasp as I bolted upward. 

"Uh, uh, uh, we can't have that now can we?" I saw he activated his OD again, taking the chain from Eagle's hand and dragging me back towards him. I'm really sick of just being dragged all over the place. 

"Dammit Magician, she's mine!" Eagle charged at me, grabbing me by the chains and pulling away from Magician. They were both pulling as hard as they could, trying to get me for whatever reason. Sighing, I used my power to pull Magician upwards toward me and tied Eagle's hand to the chain.

"You idiots, you're making a scene. If you're gonna fight over me, do it later. We're going to be late to wherever the heck we're supposed to be, and that can't be good for you or me. So chill." Both were stunned, not knowing how to respond. I flew all of us towards the entrance, everybody watching down below painfully aware that two pro heroes were being dragged by a new recruit. Gosh, these two are annoying. Guess I'll have to escape later. For now, let's go to the opening ceremony or whatever the crap this is.

In a world of heroes and villains, kids are taken to learn how to use their powers. However, not everything is as perfect as things are laid out to be d or those chosen children...
