Shun was out of his home looking for places to visit and things to do on his outing with Satsuki.
Tokyo was diverse in culture, and Shun was sure that he would be able to find fun activities.
Shun left his home and saw a movers and shifters vehicle in front of an empty house.
Shun: "Hmm? Is someone moving in? I wonder who it is?"
Shun passed the house, and when he reached the end of the street, he felt that someone was watching him, so he turned to look, but he couldn't find anyone.
Shun: "Was it my imagination?"
Shun walked away, seeing that no one was there.
After Shun left, something moved in the street.

Shun exited a bookstore that he heard had quite a diverse selection of books.
He had seen the huge bookshelf in Satsuki's room, so he thought that they should swing by a good bookstore to introduce it to Satsuki.
The result of Shun's inspection of the bookstore?
Shun: "This bookstore is really diverse in its book collection. It is good that I found it. They had so many books that looked so interesting."
Shun exited the bookstore to see a bookstore employee signing for a new shipment of books and the delivery person unloading stacks of books from a trailer.
Shun looked at the stack of a manga series and said to himself.
Shun: "Ah, I should buy this week's Jump."
Shun turned back and entered the bookstore to buy the magazine.
What Shun didn't saw was someone observing him as he entered the bookstore. The observer moved just as Shun came out of the store after buying the magazine.

Shun exited a restaurant after asking them for their services and prices. He had a quick bite to eat to check the quality of food.
He sighed as he exited the restaurant.
Shun: "The food was so good, and I wasn't expecting them to offer a picnic basket service, but too bad, it is too hot for eating outside."
Shun was surprised when he heard that the restaurant had a service where they would prepare a picnic basket to take out, with the basket and the customer just had to pay for the food and a deposit for the actual basket and utensils, which they could get back after returning them.
Shun thought the picnic idea was brilliant, and the restaurant owners were genius to think of such service.
Shun wanted to book a basket, but alas, the weather was just too hot to eat outside.
Shun: "Maybe some other time, but at least we now have a place to eat."
Shun walked past the restaurant building, and his eyes caught a restaurant employee that he had seen inside receiving fresh ingredients in the alley between two buildings.
He heard them talk.
Employee: "Okay, the ingredients are according to our order, here you go, this is the order for tomorrow."
The vendor put down the last crate of ingredients from the back of his truck and received the order for the next day.
Vendor: "Alright, I will get these for tomorrow."
The employee nodded and asked.
Employee: "By what time would you arrive?"
The vendor thought for a moment and replied.
Vendor: "Around the same time as today."
Shun walked past the alley entrance and thought.
Shun: "Fresh ingredient every day, that is a huge plus point."
Shun decided that he would come here on the day of the date.
The observer continued to watch Shun as he walked past the alley.

Shun exited an ice cream parlor with a double scoop of mint chocolate chip.
Shun: "Man, ice cream is so good on a hot day."
Shun eat his ice-cream as he looked back at the ice-cream building.
Shun: "Plus, I have coupons for this place, so it is double-win."
Shun added visiting the ice-cream parlor to his list of things to do and walked as he ate his ice-cream.
He arrived at the road crossing. Shun waited for the light to turn so that he could cross the road, then he saw an advertisement at the side of a cargo truck.
The advertisement was for a Karaoke, seeing that Shun thought.
Shun: 'Maybe I should take her to a Karaoke, or should we go to a movie.'
Shun thought between his options before deciding.
Shun: "I should just ask her. Let's go check what movies are up on that day."
Shun walked towards the nearest Cinema to see what they were showing.
As Shun walked, he once again felt that someone was watching, so he turned back, but he just saw the traffic of vehicles in which he saw the Karaoke advertisement moving along.
Shun sighed as he once again walked.
Shun: "The heat must be getting to me."

The day passed, and the sun was already setting, and an orange hue covered the sky.
Shun was looking at his phone on which he had made a list of activities that he had checked out.
Shun: "Now, I only need to pick a few of them for the date day."
Shun switched the bag which was full of groceries that he had bought for home from his left hand to his right hand.
He put his phone back in his pocket and walked towards his home, and when he was two streets away from his house, he heard.
*Honk! Honk!*
Shun immediately got to one side of the road to avoid the coming vehicle.
He turned to see what it was and saw that around fifteen meters away from him was a stationary white truck right in the middle of the road.
Shun frowned when he saw the truck wasn't moving. He saw that there was no driver inside the truck, and that made him frown even more.
Shun: "Where did the driver go?"
But, then Shun's breathing hitched when he noticed the bumper stickers on the front of the truck.

Just when Shun read the last sticker, he saw the headlights of the truck come to life and the engine of the truck revving up.
Shun started to shake, he gulped, and some words escaped his mouth.
Shun: "T-Truck-kun?"
To his horror, he heard.
*Honk*
Shun started to sweat, and he took a deep breath when he remembered the feeling of someone watching him.
He remembered the mover-and-shifter truck he saw in front of the empty house.
He remembered the truck that had the book shipment for the bookstore.
He remembered the truck of the ingredient vendor in the alley beside the restaurant.
He remembered the truck which had the advertisement for the Karaoke.
Shun gulped as he asked.
Shun: "You were the one who was watching me."
*Honk*
Shun felt his throat dry up and a bead of sweat that traveled down from the side of his face.
Shun: "Are you here for me?"
Shun didn't want to change worlds. He was completely happy with his life in the current world.
This time Truck-kun didn't honk but started to inch closer towards Shun.
Shun suddenly felt his ability to move his legs taken away from as he wasn't able to take a single step away from the side of the road.
Truck-kun arrived just beside Shun, the driver side window rolled down, and Shun could hear a song that he recognized.
It was 「Hear For You」 by Kygo.
A sheet of paper suddenly flew out of the truck, and suddenly Shun found that he was able to move his hands.
He dropped the grocery bag and caught the sheet of paper.
「You were my next target, but then I received the information that you were already Isekai'd, so I had to take you off my Hit-List.
I still decided to follow you to see if you weren't happy in this world and wanted a new start.
But it seems that you are happy.
So, unfortunately, we won't get to hug.
Kageyama Shun, I wish you a happy life.
May the Trucks be with you.」
The windows rolled up, and Truck-kun drove away.
Shun saw the one huge bumper sticker behind Truck-kun.
「There Is No Not-Today For Truck-kun.」
Shun felt his ability to move his legs return to him, and he couldn't help but lean against the wall and take in deep breaths to calm himself down.
Shun: "Oh my god!
What in the world was that!
I can't believe that I meet Truck-kun."
Shun stayed there for a few minutes before continuing home.
Later that day, when Shun's parents returned home, he hugged them tightly and said, 'I Love You' to both of them.

I followed her upstairs in silence, until she spoke herself. "The higher ups can be a bit stubborn. Fortunately for you, I met Oren on my way, and he explained the situation. Otherwise you wouldn't gain entry". I smiled, "I'm not so sure about that". She turned around "Yes, Shak would help you out, maybe even for free. I don't doubt your abilities either, Mr Dark Traveller. But, don't assume Voltars are that weak". This sounded more like a warning to me. I would receive what I came for, so I didn't mind.

She faced forwards again, and said "You will be allowed to browse through the history of North alone. No other knowledge will be accessible to you. Please bare that in mind, as I will not repeat this warning". I replied, "That is all I'm interested in". She nodded while saying, "I'm glad to hear that then".

We climbed more, and more stairs. Until we arrived at what looked like the top floor. There were ten guards stationed there, all at the Inner Limits stage. They greeted the woman with respect, and allowed us to enter the only room on that floor. I was a bit surprised by the amount of strong Voltars the city possessed. I saw at least fourteen of those Voltars. 'Sedon has at least eight Shades at the Inner Limits stage. At least one that passed the Half Step as well. That woman should've passed that stage too' I thought.

I shouldn't be really surprised. Voltars, Shades and Lizards were the major races of the North. Their population was large, compared to other races. This meant, more people had a chance to reach such stage. Humans had a lot more of such people, due to the amount of us in the world. Avians were not a major race at all, they didn't even have one person at the Inner Limits stage. The same was true with Atols, although the Warrior Faction Leader reached that stage, as well as few other warriors. Their race was small in comparison to others. At best one or two thousands Atols existed in the North. Golems were not that different, but they were much stronger comparably.

This begged a question. Why was the North so diverse, while the rest of Perival Continent belonged to Humans? While we entered the room, I realised it was a huge library. Books, scrolls and whatnot, filled the shelves. Before she said anything, I said "I have a question". She replied, "Sure, go ahead". I asked, "Why is North so diverse? You are trapped inside here, while Humans roam the rest of the continent. Who exactly trapped you here?". 

She smiled, "That you can find out, if you read about the Northern history. We don't have the exact accounts for the history of the North to be honest. But, I'm sure we have the most extensive collection of books, that the North has on offer. Not all books here are about North. There are loads that concern Endrosians and Elysians. Yes, we know about them too. We have books on all races known to us, or those that existed". She shot me a glance after the last sentence.

She continued, "The tables are to your disposition. Tell me what exactly are you interested in, and I will bring you the books concerning that subject". I nodded while saying, "I need books about the beginnings of the North. Any old book you can find on Lizards is also great". She asked interested, "Lizards?". I replied, "Yes Lizards. Their history, past events and stuff like that. I don't need anything recent".

She told me to sit down at the table, and wait for her to bring the books. Once I sat down, I took a more detailed look at the library. The wood was old, very old but in good shape. The whole place smelled like old books and dust, while dim orbs of electric energy illuminating the whole room from above. There were different sections spread throughout the whole library. Some concerning recent events, while others concerning specific races. The section for Humans was not small, it probably detailed a lot of stuff about both Endrosians and Elysians.

She returned after a while, and presented a few books to me. "Those are the books you asked for. You are not allowed to copy anything. When you're done reading them, let me or someone else know. We will return them to their original place". There were a total of four books. Three of them about Northern History, while only one about Lizards. 'I hoped to get more books about Lizards, but whatever. After all, I asked for the oldest records they had' I thought. 

I began from the book about Lizards. The book described how Lizards struggled in the beginning to set up their home at Obsidian Mountains. It described how they built Arangard, their main city, and how they later branched out to other volcanoes. Apparently, the Obsidian Mountains was much more deadly back then. Lava would spew out of volcanoes, and the Lizards sustained a few losses in the process of creating Arangard.

They didn't have help from anyone else either. All of that was built by their own hands. As the book describes, it was crude in the beginning and not what it became later. There was no mention of Grey Lizards in that book, the book referred to them collectively as Lizards. I put the book down, and looked around me. The woman was sitting further away, reading something herself. I asked her, "Can I got something a bit more recent on Lizards? This describes how they built Arangard, I would like to read about something that concerned a bit more recent history".

She seemed surprised for some reason, and asked "You already read it?". I shrugged my shoulders while replying, "Is that so surprising?". She only smiled, and took the book. "I will bring you something more recent, but if you tell me what you are looking for, it would be easier". I simply replied, "Grey Lizards". She was stunned again, but then smiled. "So I see why you need the knowledge of the old times. We have nothing on their whereabouts, if that is what you are looking for. Grey Lizards would be forgotten, if not for a few appearing every so often. We have some records on the Grey Lizards, but that was before they were banished". 

I asked, "What about Hatmandor?". She narrowed her eyes, and replied "I'm not allowed to discuss them. We are not allowed to keep records on them either. It has been like this since ancient times, that is all I can say". I nodded and didn't push any further. Instead, I read the other three books she brought. 

The first book answered the previous question I asked her. It told the story of why North is the North, and how it came to be. From what I gathered, North was not isolated in the past, and all those races were not prominent there. Almost all the major races of the North, originate from around the Perival Continent. There were two exceptions. Golems and Eterians. Even Furians were not part of the North in the past, they used to live alongside Humans. Back then Shades, Lizards, Avians and a few other minor races, were considered monsters. The world was ruled by Humans, Furians, Eterians and another race I had never heard of. 

The race was called Bramans. The book had no picture of that race, but from the description it provided, I gathered they were a sort of humanoid dogs. They had tails, and head that looked like that of a dog, but they were intelligent and had their own society. This was the race which Humans exterminated, but the book didn't describe the reason.

Supposedly this prompted Humans to fight others, and wars erupted left and right. Voltars existed during that time, but they were a very minor race that avoided most humanoid races. Reasons were not stated again, therefore I didn't know why. The book described that due to the wars, a lot of minor races who were considered monsters, asked someone or something for help. The book wasn't specific on that either.

The help came in the form of a barrier. The barrier that surrounds the North wasn't placed there to trap all those races inside, but to protect them from all the wars. Although this seemed to be the case, I felt something was wrong as well. The barrier prevented those races from leaving, but allowed strong Humans to enter. This was under the condition of course. That condition stands till this day. Humans had to pass trials, in order to enter North.

The book argued it was a trap, to make Humans fear the new North, and leave it in peace. Eterians and Furians also had the ability to cross the barrier just like Humans, but the restrictions placed on them were not that severe. I found it weird, but the book didn't describe that in detail either.

This was when Eterians also fought against Humans, and Furians joined them. This was the great war all Humans told me about, and where the hate of Eterians as well as Furians comes from. The book didn't describe any events in detail or even at all. It was mostly generalisation, probably due to second-hand information. Voltars at that time were a minor race. Minor race which didn't interact with others much as well. This suggested to me that, they couldn't be the original owners of that knowledge.

The record was really hazy, and I extrapolated a lot when I read it. Nevertheless, one thing was clear. The barrier was created by someone or something to protect the minor species. My instincts pointed towards Hatmandor. Strangely, the book mentioned nothing about Elysians. Maybe due to generalisation, or perhaps for other reasons. 'Although I still don't know exactly how the barrier came to be, but I know the reason it exists' I thought. 

There was another thing that I recalled. 'You started it' I thought. That's what the Eterian told me, before I killed him. I wasn't sure how everything tied in, I required more information.

After a walking for a while Meria and Navi made it to the Library. When they arrived Meria said, "Do you need any help choosing books or finding something specific." After asking she looked at Navi waiting for an answer.

[No thanks, I think I can handle it from here. Thank you for escorting me. Hope we meet again at some time.] Once she finished typing her message she looked towards Meria.

"Alright we'll meet some other time hope you find what you need. Ohh Yea, here is the library card if you need to check out any books." Meria looked towards Navi as she gave her the card. Once done she waved goodbye towards Navi as she walked away.

After Meria left I chose to search for language and history books which I knew would help me the most while learning about this world.
During my search I picked up books like the dictionary a few encyclopedias and some others in between.

As I was looking at the history books I couldn't help but think, 'Seems the dungeons started appearing about a century ago. Also it seems that these humans haven't the slightest idea where these dungeons come from. 

They seem to have eden currency when it comes to buying weapons and or materials from dungeons. That pretty good considering I kept the currency of my previous life so I won't have any problems. 

Hmm, from what I can read I can surmise from these books this world is far more diverse than eden in culture. Their technology is more advanced and they don't follow "monarchy" style governments. 

From what I can see the highest level on this planet is about 600 which is past Demi-God level. If my guess is correct I should be able to reach my old planet by ascending to Eden. That when I'll get my revenge on those scum.'

After reading and skimming throughout the library  I learned the language and all the information I could. This only took me about 2 hours due to my photographic memory and high wisdom and intelligence which helped me sort out what I was reading. 

During my journey back to the dorms I couldn't help but think, 'It seems I'll have to stay low and get stronger fast so that I can gain more connections. I should probably try to find at least one companion to train up a party. The problem is I have huge trust issues so I have to either find some in love with me or a loyal servant. Lastly the next strongest city is Boston which has has dungeons up to level 100 so that will be my next spot.'

After a while of walking I reach my dorm. When I opened the door I was greeted by Aria, "Welcome back I hope you got what you needed from the library."

"Yea I got what I needed I picked up the language surprisingly easy so I decided to start speaking as it would be a hassle to type whenever I wish to speak." After responding to her question I look towards her to see her fall in a daze once again due to my ethereal sounding voice.

A large,prominent signboard at the entrance of the city labelled 'Radiant City',it was the main city of the region with a few million people entering the city everyday.

Many different types of people with a diverse range of wings made for a colourful sight. All entrances had a long line of people with wings glittering like crystals stretching out in every direction adding to the city's splendour.

Mom carried me and went past the line,earning the stares of many. Approaching the gate,the guards in armor saluted mom and immediately waved us in.

That's odd,why didn't we need to queue like the rest?The guards acted respectfully towards her as well,could mom be someone prominent?

Entering the city,many could be seen hawking their wares in their temporary stalls along the winding street leading to the most eye catching building of the city. While travelling along the bustling street,mom bought many different interesting things for example this black squishy fruit which looks like a giant boba.

Soon we arrived at the city center,which a huge,weathered building sat.This added a unique aura to the building like an old relic. Despite many people passing by the place none approached the building,instead casting respectful gazes at it.

Mom headed towards it,guards outside took note of her presence pulling out a transparent crystal to verify her identity. She then placed her hand on it,a light shade of blue tinted the transparent crystal.Seeing the results,the guards affirmed her identity, bowed at us respectfully and allowed us to enter. 

Upon entering the building,seemingly endless rows of books filled the entire building from end to end. The sheer amount of books listed here was simply astounding.

A large marble flight of stairs spiral down in the center of the building. Wasting no time at all,mom headed up the stairs to the second level.

A door made completely of marble stood in the hallway from the stairs. She waved her hand at the door,a shining blue circle appeared at the centre of the door.In a split second,she drew many complex shapes on the circle and spun it.

The door slid open revealing a large spacious garden inside.

He figured it out almost right away. "There's another explanation for that incident, isn't there?"
By that incident, he obviously meant the one five years ago when Feng Wu lost her cultivation ability.
Feng Wu said, "Yes…"
Grand Secretary Fang nodded. He now understood why the girl had to hide her real ability at the cost of all those insults and contempt.
It was incredible that she could be this level-headed at such a young age.
The old man liked Feng Wu even more.
"But," said Feng Wu, "Xuan Yi doesn't know about my recovery…"
Feng Wu didn't finish the sentence, but Grand Secretary Fang knew what she meant.
He nodded. "Your top priority now is to prepare for the written exam."
Grand Secretary Fang then asked the old steward to fetch a stack of exam papers, then had the servants transcribe two copies.
Meanwhile, Steward Fang was instructed by the old man to set up a couple of desks and chairs in the main hall.
The papers, which still smelled of fresh ink, were laid out.
Grand Secretary Fang casually sat down in the head seat and waved his hand. "Finish the papers in two hours."
Feng Wu and Chaoge looked at each other in bewilderment. Neither of them had studied the subjects or read the relevant books. The stack of papers was completely foreign to them.
Feng Wu picked up the first paper.
The first section was filling in the blanks.
A few characters were missing from a verse and one had to fill in the missing parts.
Feng Wu was well-versed in books and could finish five out of the ten problems. Chaoge, on the other hand, was at a complete loss. She knew next to nothing about literary works.
Feng Wu looked up at Chaoge and shook her head with a wry smile.
Although there were only ten questions, they covered a very wide range.
The study of nature, history, cultivation theory, formations, medicine… you name it. If one wasn't well-read enough, they wouldn't even be able to understand the question.
Poor little Chaoge… 
Feng Wu then moved on to the second section.
One had to write something from memory.
And the subjects covered were just as diverse.
There was a random paragraph taken from some book and the candidate had to write down the rest of the passage from memory.
One could only answer the question if they had memorized the passage. Even after reading the passage, they might not be able to write down everything. However, if one hadn't even read it, then… 
This was the case with the sentence Feng Wu was reading. "Courtesy is the standard by which intimacy and remoteness is determined."
Feng Wu was dumbfounded. Where was that sentence from? Although she had read a lot of books, she had never seen it before.
Because she didn't know that sentence, she left the entire section blank.
The third section consisted of multiple choice questions.
"Write down the option(s) you deem correct in the bracket. The answer is only correct when it contains all the correct option(s) and only the correct one(s)."
Feng Wu read the questions, then rubbed her forehead.
They were incredible.
The subjects mentioned covered everything from astronomy and the universe, to medicine refinement… No subject was left out, and candidates who weren't well-read enough would fail miserably in this section. 
Section four was short answer questions.
The name of a practice manual was mentioned and the candidate needed to elaborate on the theory, techniques, and innovations.
The name of the manual on Feng Wu's paper was "Ice Everywhere."
Ice Everywhere? Feng Wu was elated!
She didn't have the ice attribute herself, but she had a peerless beautiful master who knew all the attributes and all professions.
Her beautiful master used to explain all the attributes and skills to her. With his encouragement, she memorized everything, even though she hadn't understood most of it.

I started to look around the library with observation for skill books or actual books that require manual learning.

Most of the books in the library were, well diverse because, it's a library... 



If I recalled the libraries that exist in real life organize books through the Dewey Decimal System. So how are the books organized in this world? Since obviously fighting books and magic well, should have a different classification right? 



Even if this game did use the Dewey Decimal System, what's the point since I don't even remember the correct order of the books. I started looking around at the books to see if I could get any hints on how the books were organized. 



Although the books are labeled by name and sections, I still have no idea what which section means. It also doesn't help that each section of the library still has a varied selection of books. 



Instead of wasting my time figuring something out, I just walked to section M, since there are huge signs which point to each section. 



The signs are arranged in a circle in the middle is a huge study area with hundreds of desks and chairs surrounded by thousands upon thousands of books. 



I have to say this library is huge, I can't even see the end of section M. 



It would make my search very easy if each lettered section represented how the books were organized. As in, a book starting with M would go into section M.



Well, I don't think life wants me to have it easy since the first book I saw in Section M was Glass making by Kai Doyle. In which nothing in the label corresponded to the letter M. 



Unless?



Glass has 5 letters and his name is 8 letters long, while M is the 13th letter of the alphabet. 



I quickly went to another book to check if my theory is correct. Psychological Manipulation for beginners by Felix Rowland. 



"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...13, 14, Shit." 



I don't think my theory is correct. 



The question is though, what is the correlation between Psychological Manipulation and Glass Making? 



I picked up another book, 10 Worse Fighting Styles Ever Created by, Matthew Malone. 



???



I'm so confused wtf is the correlation or is the library this messy and none of these books are in the right place. Or, is there some secret organizing system among the people of this world that I have yet to find out about. 



"Welp, back to observing every single book in this library."



"Nope, nope, nope, tf is 100 ways to satisfy women in the bed, maybe just a peek...YEP NOPE NOPE, onwards!" 



This is like finding a needle in a haystack, in the middle of this ocean of books, I'll find a good book that will be helpful. 



The only thing is why was my luck so good in the beginning where I was able to receive a legendary skill and a magic skill. 



Did Margret rig it, or did I use up all my luck?



"Hmmmmm, very sus (plot armor?)" 



In the remaining 8 or so hours in this game, I've yet to find a good book that would help me in the game.

The same feminine monotone voice that had explained the game to billions of beginners. 



I didn't have to do anything, besides waiting until the game closed, I just kept on using my observation skill. During these 8 hours, my observation had leveled up to level 10.

Just as I was observing through the library, I had finally caught something interesting. 



[Magic Flow Through the Human Body by, -]



My vision instantly blacked out. 



"Looks like I'm back in real-life." 



I took off the googles and check my clock.



"Exactly 12 hours, not a second more not a second less." 



"At least, I won't oversleep for online schooling anymore, since I'm waking up half an hour before my AM class, Bio and Informatics start." 



The thing that I was most curious about was the new elements that I had learned in-game. Could I transmute them in real life?



In my head, as I was about to transmute something, I noticed a new tab in my head.

Basic Objects- 9658/???



Foreign Objects- 32/??? 



I mentally clicked on Foreign Objects, as the basic elements are most likely objects made up of different elements found on Earth.

Most of the Foreign Objects had minimal use and would not help me very much besides the Black Eleven Steel, Holy Mithril, and Eleven Wood. That I had found out about from the Katana and the Beginners Armor.



However, the question is, how can I get the stats of the Katana from in-game?  



I quickly transmuted the Katana from in-game into real life, using a few hundred pounds of gold that I had transmuted in my free time. This would make it so when I'm transmuting large or dense objects, I wouldn't accidentally kill myself by creating a vacuum.  



I've also learned to always keep my window open. 



As soon as I mentally sent the signal my hand glowed purple and the hundreds of pounds of gold disappeared and my room which was filled with air is completely devoid of air. 



I felt my skin start to burn due to the human body being put into a vacuum. My insides were also freezing and I felt the blood flowing through my body begin to backtrack. 



Although the process of transmuting only took roughly 5 seconds, If I was subjected to that pressure for a couple more seconds I would die. 



I felt a huge gust of wind as the air flowed back in my room. 



In my hands was a shiny black katana with a glowing white tang on the handle. 



However, I had no time to admire the katana I had transmuted as I started coughing up blood, due to the blood in my body backtracking. 



I was also sure I sustained some internal injuries due to their being a lack of pressure my frail organs definitely didn't come out unscathed. 



"Shiiiiii-"



I held back my curse as I realized it was still 8 in the morning and I would definitely receive a beating if I cursed out loud. I looked all over my arms and noticed burns all over them.  



I begin to transmute the skin and muscles on my arm back to normal. Since I had learned the atomic composition of simple proteins and skin cells, which definitely helped the process in order to regenerate my surface skin cells. 



As for my internal injuries, I'll have to let them naturally heal, since I have yet to learn in-depth about the human body and don't know what my organs are made out of. 



If I mess up transmuting my skin, it would be ok as it wouldn't be fatal. However, if I messed up while transmuting my internal organs, well then shit, I guess I'm not alive anymore.

An everyday average Joe, through a stroke of luck managed to uncover humanity's lost secret of transmuting. From there onward, he must ward off forces that desire this long lost ability and uncover, more of humanity's lost secrets.

Following the appetizing scent, Lily managed to find the source of it. She was extremely famished so when she saw the plates of food spread out on the dining table, she couldn't resist and sat down. Without ceremony, she started digging in the dishes in front of her. There were grilled seafood recipes, stirfried vegetables with meat, curries, fried rice, cold and hot soups, fried chicken... there were too many plates...Some she had never seen, some she had seen but never tasted. But all looked mouth watering. 

One bite, two bites, and a full dish was gone. Soon few more plates were emptied. The whole time she was eating, the dining hall stayed empty. No guests, no servants, not a living soul came to interrupt her meal. Though she found it strange, it did not impede her ability to eat. Finally contented, Lily decided she would go explore her living accommodations. 

Only after she ate did she realize she was not familiar at all with this place. From her room to the dining hall, she had been so obsessed with food, she hadn't paid attention to where she was going. Lily had no sense of direction so she just started to walk around randomly. It did look random to Lily but maybe Ran had a purpose for going here and there. 

The first piece she stumbled upon was mostly bare. There was a thick carpet of tightly braided rice straw covering the whole floor, one table with a beautiful tea set as well as stunning sliding doors on which camellias were painted. The doors were currently opened and she could get a glimpse of a very zen inner garden. Once in a while, she could also hear a clap sound. But there wasn't anything else of interest so Lily didn't dawdle very long. 

She continued through a few more rooms. All uninteresting for Lily. But it allowed her to realize there was a pattern: In this hallway, all the rooms on her right were all laid out in such a way they had a view on the inner garden.  She thus decided to explore another hallway. 
By the time, she had almost finished exploring her compound, the sun was setting and she had finally reached out to the last few rooms, out of which one of them must be her bedroom. In her way to find the path back to her bedroom, she had found quite a few interesting rooms, one was filled with exotic animals, another was filled with diverse and uncomprehensible tools, another one was filled with jewelries and expensive treasure. Each time, Lily took a mental note and drawed up bit by bit a mental map. She was quite proud of herself. 

Entering one of the last rooms, she was now in a library. The library was vast with a great amount of shelves of scrolls and books and folded papers covering the entirety of the walls from floor to ceiling. The ceiling was also very far from the ground since it had 3 floors which were accessible through a set of stairs not far from the entrance door. 

"A well of knowledge? How unexpected but such a pleasant surprise!" 

Lily could feel that Ran emotions were positive and high. Ran seemed to have been extremely pleased with the finding of the library. She started exploring the library slowly. First floor: there were more rolls and folded papers than books. It did not appeared there was a classification system of any sort. If there was, it was none that known to Lily. As she was browsing through the content of the shelves. Some of the scrolls were unreadable. Lily couldn't recognize the langage written on it. Some only contained pictures. When she was able to read it, it did not made sense to her. Lily was quick to discard the utility of the first floor's content. Thus she proceeded to the 2nd floor.

Lily woke up with no memories, only one name : hers- Lily but why do they keep calling her Ran Sheng? Who was this mysterious Ran Sheng with a perfect fiancé? Why had she lost her memories? Who was she? Lily needs to find her memories fast before her ennemies make a move. But she had no idea who those enemies were and why they were trying to harm her.
