In the blink of an eye, another month had passed. Mo Wuji had failed to advance in cultivation and pill refining. The lack of immortal spiritual energy in this place rendered his cultivation futile.
Cultivating in the Undying World was a possibility, especially with the heaps of immortal crystals Mo Wuji had with him. However, there was a downside to this: the five elements were incomplete. At low levels of cultivation,the side effects of cultivating in such an environment would be minimal, whereas at high levels, doing so would interrupt the flow of his dao.
In addition to this, Mo Wuji had advanced to the level of Grand Luo Immortal in a short span of time. Even though he had not sensed any destabilisation in his fundamentals yet, it was not a bad time to take a step back and gather his thoughts instead of cultivating.
In these recent months, Mo Wuji had been rigorously conducting research on smithing. He possessed the book on Equipment Dao, as well as the Guide To Smithing and the Knowledge Of Smithing given to him by Xu Suren.
Mo Wuji had obtained the book on Equipment Dao long ago, but never had the time to study it. If not for the serious injuries he took this time around, in addition to the destruction of Da Huang, it was quite possible that he would never have researched smithing, as his goal for researching it was to restore Da Huang.
One thing that offered Mo Wuji some solace was that even though Lian Yingxian was a Grand Luo Immortal, she hadn’t caused any trouble after living here. Mo Wuji didn’t even seen her cultivate either. Every day, she would only assist Yu Cheng in cleaning the fish that Yu Jingfeng caught. Occasionally, she would also leave Divergent Immortal Village with Yu Jingfeng to trade and exchange goods.
Whenever Mo Wuji conducted his research on smithing, no one would ever bother him. It was almost as if they knew that immortals did not like to interact with mortals.
Due to his frequent refining of array flags, which bore some resemblances to smithing, Mo Wuji already possessed a strong foundation in smithing. The more complex array flags were arguably even harder to refine than some high grade immortal equipment. In addition to this, Master Pu Zi had imparted to him many smithing techniques in the Half Immortal Domain.
In actuality, as an immortal array master, Mo Wuji was very self-aware that if his smithing did not improve, his Array Dao would definitely be adversely affected.
In the Gods Tower, one Immortal Sealing Array could seal countless experts. After suffering in the shackles of the Immortal Sealing Array, Mo Wuji’s belief that he needed to rigorously research Array Dao was further fortified.
Within a month, Mo Wuji could refine and create Grade 4 immortal equipments. Although they were the simplest of that level, it did show that there was certain improvement.
Mo Wuji attributed much of his progress to Xu Suren, who gave him the the Guide To Smithing, and provided many valuable insights into smithing, which hastened his research tremendously. The most complex issues in smithing were all virtually explained by Xu Suren in the book of Equipment Dao. One could say that this book was even more precious than Grade 9 immortal equipment.
One day, while Mo Wuji was refining a Grade 5 immortal long sword, Yu Jingfeng, who usually did not disturb him, knocked on his door. Yu Jingfeng was a young man of good character and morals. After knowing that Jingfeng was the one who saved him, Mo Wuji had even considered accepting him as his disciple. However, Mo Wuji hesitated, as he did not know whether imparting techniques to Yu Jingfeng would benefit him or harm him instead.
After staying at Divergent Immortal Village for so long, Mo Wuji had begun to understand the lives of Yu Jingfeng and his grandfather. They could not cultivate to become immortals, but led fulfilling lives without any boring days, frequently encountering surprises in the Extreme Glade Sea.　　
If he allowed Yu Jingfeng to cultivate, it could very well disrupt the peace and balance in his life. Moreover, after he leaves the village, Yu Jingfeng might perish while gathering resources for cultivation. In comparison, leading a simple life may not have been that bad after all.
The good thing was that Yu Jingfeng had never inquired about the matter of immortal cultivation, which gave Mo Wuji time to take his mind off the issue, until this day, when Jingfeng had come to Mo Wuji’s doorstep.
"Jingfeng, you’re looking for see me?" Mo Wuji asked as he kept his half-refined long sword. At his current level of skill, abruptly ending the refinement of this long sword was equivalent to wasting the effort he had put into refining it to this point. This however, did not concern Mo Wuji as he had a vast amount of low grade smithing materials in his ring, much more than the amount of immortal herbs.
"Yes, brother, I have something that I’ve always wanted to speak to you about, but grandfather didn’t let me bother you for no reason, so I kept it to myself up till now. He is out with sister in law now, which is why I had the chance to come and talk to you in the first place," Jingfeng said in a flurry as he stood at the door.
"It’s only been a month, but you’ve grown quite a bit" Mo Wuji remarked as he invited Jingfeng in. Yu Cheng and Lian Yingxian were indeed not at home. Even though Jingfeng often said that he admired and idolised Mo Wuji, Wuji himself felt that the admiration was a result of Yu Cheng’s teachings.
Wuji no longer shrouded himself with the caution that he once did, as after such a long time, he felt that the differences between immortals and mortals were insignificant.
"Hey, I’m already 14, and seafaring helps me train my physique as well," Jingfeng replied as he earnestly rubbed his own head.
"Where have your grandfather and sister in law gone to?" Wuji asked as he gestured for Jingfeng to sit.
"They’ve gone to Extreme Glade City to get the Thousand Fusing Rice. It’s the harvesting season for it now," Jingfeng said without a second thought.
Mo Wuji knew about Extreme Glade City – In the region of the Extreme Glade Sea there were many villages similar to Divergent Immortal Village, between these villages, there needed to be a set location for the purpose of trade, which led to the formation of Extreme Glade City. Everyone in the villages would come here if they needed to buy anything, and the immortal energy in the air here was as scarce as it was in the other parts of the region.　　
Even though Ji Ke City was a City for mortals in name, there were some cultivators here as well, as the city was, in reality, co-inhabited by low level immortals and mortals. However, the immortals here were either talentless, or were severely limited in their ability to cultivate.
The Thousand Fusing Rice could only be planted in areas near Extreme Glade City, and was the rice ate by most of the regular beings. Every time harvesting season came, all the people living around Extreme Glade City would bring the unique produce from their respective villages and exchange them for Thousand Fusing Rice.
"Jingfeng, your sister in law is gorgeous, I don’t think there are many in this village who can compare to her beauty," Wuji suddenly said while grinning.
Perhaps having sensed Wuji’s relaxed disposition, Jingfeng eased into the conversation. At this point of time, he had completely forgotten that his grandfather once told him that Wuji was an immortal cultivator, and that there were taboos that they could not violate.
"Big brother, it’s not only Divergent Immortal Village, not anyone in Extreme Glade City could match up to my sister in law’s beauty. Have you perhaps fallen for her? But... she has no spiritual roots, it would be impossible for her to cultivate."
Mo Wuji hurriedly leapt to his own defence. "No no no, you’re overthinking, it was just a passing comment. Speaking of which, what happened to your elder brother?"
In his heart, Mo Wuji deeply admired Lian Yingxian, as he did not know how what cultivation technique she used, and what means she had to disguise her cultivation level. Had he not used his spiritual eye, he wouldn’t have been able to assess her cultivation level, which meant that from an outsider’s point of view, Lian Yingxian was a completely ordinary person, which added that much more credibility to the prowess of her concealment technique.
This was different from himself. Apart from a few top-notch cultivators, most cultivators would not be able to asses her cultivation level as he cultivated with the Immortal Mortal Technique, which was unique in that the more one cultivated in the technique, the more ordinary the user would seem.
A memory flashed across Jingfeng’s mind, and after a moment of silence, he said,
"10 years ago, when I was three, my brother came back from the sea and said he had felt some immortal spiritual energy. Afterwards, he sneaked out and went to Extreme Glade city to buy a few books about cultivation, and told me that he had discovered the hidden spiritual roots within him. However, my grandfather refused to even entertain the possibility of him becoming an cultivator, leaving him lost and helpless. He eventually married my sister in law under the insistence of my grandfather.
Less than 3 months after sister in law came, my brother left a letter behind and left the village to join a sect, stating that he had to become an cultivator no matter what. Another few years passed, and people in the village were saying that something bad had happened to my brother while he was out venturing. When the rumours proved to be true, my grandfather allowed sister in law to go home, even giving her the liberty to decide whether she would remarry or not. She has been very kind to us, often dropping by to visit us because she’s worried for grandfather."
"What about your parents?" Wuji asked.
Jingfeng got a little teary.
"Not long after I was born, they got into an accident at sea and never returned."
Mo Wuji sighed.
No matter how safe the Extreme Glade ocean was, it was still a sea in the immortal world, and seafarers would inexplicably face some form of danger.
"What happened to your aunt then? Has she always lived in Divergent Immortal Village? Was she older or younger than your brother?" Wuji asked.
In reality, Mo Wuji was only asking this much for one sole reason - to find out more about Lian Yingxian’s background and history. In his opinion, a Grand Luo immortal, even a genius at that, had to train for a few hundred years before achieving such prowess that Yingxian possessed.
Jingfeng grinned and chuckled, " Big brother, my sister in law is not even thirty yet, if you indeed have feelings for her, my grandfather would definitely approve, I would be happy if you married her!"
Wuji sneered in his mind.
He knew that it was not possible.
"We’ll talk more about his next time, don’t get the wrong idea. Before this, I even thought she was at least 40!"
Still forgetting the fact that Wuji was an immortal, Jingfeng hastily refuted.
"Impossible! What poor judgement you have big brother, my parents and her’s were the best of friends, when she was born, my parents even went to congratulate them!"
Wuji was taken aback by this fact, could it be possible that a person, not even at the age of thirty yet, could reach the later level of Grand Luo Immortal? Even with possession it would seem absurd.
"It must be a mistake on Jingfeng’s part," he thought to himself.
Wuji did not plan on inquiring further, and without even asking about her parents, he decided to change the subject.
"So, Jingfeng, what was it that you wanted to speak to me about?"
It was only at this moment Jingfeng recalled why he was here. Patting the back of his head, he revealed,
"Uhm.. It goes like this big brother, a month ago I caught a Red Herring, and today I went back to the place I caught it in search for more, but before I even got close, a blinding ray of white light rose from the depths of the ocean. Several white lights emerged, and an object shot out from within them, eventually landing in my boat."
While speaking, Jingfeng took out a bunch of broken pieces and passed them to Wuji.
"This is it," Jingfeng said.
Array flag? Mo Wuji knew what they were once he received the pieces from Jingfeng. These pieces were as old as time, and even Wuji didn’t know when they were made.
　　


Here, only those with spiritual roots can cultivate while those with mortal roots are destined to stay mortal.

Mo Wuji only has mortal roots, but will he only remain as a mortal?

This is my first novel I'm writing so I ask that you bear with me 😅. I've had this concept in my head for a few weeks now and I finally feel like I have the gist down. So I hope you guys enjoy! 

Oh and also before I forget none of this is to be copied or published on any other social media site. Please don't steal my book or my ideas please ! 
Also I know this book sounds a lot like the Avatar, the last Airbender and Divergent. I admit they are similar , but only in the beginning. The ideas and concept of this story are completely different from both stories. 
Once you start reading more you'll notice that they are completely different.

In a dystopian world divided into four sectors filled with werewolves, vampires, witches and affinity , you’d think it’d be hard to find yourself and find your purpose.

Black ridge City was a small city under the rule of the Emerald Empire, one of the Kingdoms on Ruby ocean island. It may be named a city, but it can only be considered a small town at most. As the location of the city itself is at the remote corners of the Empire, the ruling classes of the Empire generally don't bother with the problems in the city. Only when some major problems occur or if any treasures that may catch the interest of the nobles will the gaze of the Empire will be on the city.


It was early in the morning but the sky had already fully brightened. In the training courtyard of the Neel Family, several children in the age range of 8 – 12 years can be seen exercising. Some of the younger children are throwing punches and kicks while shouting loudly, while the older children sat at the corners cross legged, closing their eyes and entering a meditative state with colourful halo's shrouding their bodies.

The Neel Family is one of the three big families of in Black ridge City, contending with the Renrick Family and Blood sword Guild. But of these two parties, only the Renrick Family can be considered the main opponent of the Neel Family as the Blood sword Guild maintains its neutrality without encroaching on the disputes of the two families.

At this time, two middle aged men stood on a stone pedestal in one corner the training courtyard inside the Neel family compound, silently surveying the exercise retinues of the children. Occasionally one of them will change the posture of one of the children or answering the questions of the older children on the doubts they pose.

One of the middle aged men is a muscular man of about 2 meters in height. His chest rippling with muscles, arms looking strong enough to tear apart a man into two, legs like tree trunks rooted into the ground, making him look like a moving stronghold, while his scarred face that twists whenever he moves his facial muscles, gives him a menacing atmosphere. This man is the 4th elder of the Neel Family, and he is the third strongest of all the family members including the Family Head.

"This generation of our family has some children with good potential, especially little miss Monica. She is only 13 summers this year and she is already a seventh phase of the spiritual mist stage. Moreover, her mastery over mystical skills are excellent. Since she was accepted into the prestigious Red boar academy our status and strength has already began to soar." he said with a deep voice that betrayed the explosive energy contained inside of his body.

The person next to him can be considered to be the dead opposite to the 4th Elder. He is of medium height, with a lean physique, and drooping eyes and a small smile ever present on his mouth, conveys a scholarly air to the man. But the man is everything but a scholar. He is the 2nd Elder of the Neel Family, the fourth strongest of the family just below the muscular man standing next to him.

"Ineed, but I also hope that young Lord Hank, and little miss Celia both awaken powerful attributes. If they do, our Family can ride the wave to reach new heights. We have to nurture them with care." he said softly so that only the person next to him can hear his words, as his eyes gazed at a child sitting under a tree in a meditation position.

As the two Elders were talking amongst themselves, a young child that appeared to be only 10 or 9 years old hid behind the legs of an adult while warily regarding a young lady before him.

"Awww, aren't you cute!" The young girl smiled cheekily at him. She had almost glowing golden hair that was pulled back in an intricate braid that rested gently on her back. Her large green eyes were staring intently at the hiding boy.

She flashed him a sweet smile that showed her white pearly teeth. "So what's your name?" She asked.

The boy retreated even further behind the adult that was originally standing beside him.

"Oh, don't be so shy. My name's Monica, won't you tell me yours?" She asked in a gentle voice.

"Monica?" The boy asked in a childish frightened voice.

"Yes, Monica." The girl, Monica looked up to the person standing before the boy. "Is this child alright Marcus?"

"I'm unsure first miss, I was only told to bring him to your court yard. However this brat grew up on the streets, probably in some stinky manhole or a slum. So it isn't surprising that he doesn't understand a thing we're saying." A deep rough voice sounded from the person who is currently being used as a human shield. 

"Marcus! I won't allow you to talk badly about such a cute child! You've finished your job now leave!" Monica said as she glared and pointed at the tall elderly man dressed in servant's attire.

"Apologies milady, I'll take my leave now." The man, Marcus bowed before turning on his heels and quickly retreating through the court yard gates and out of sight.

Monica's delicate face smiled warmly at the boy once again. "Don't mind Marcus, he doesn't mean any harm. Now I believe you were about to tell me your name." Monica held out a her soft and fair hand to him.

"P... People call me R...Roku." The boy stuttered as he stretched his significantly tanner hand to gently hold Monica's.

If possible Monica smiled even wider at him. "I like your name, it suits you. Do you know what your name means in the ancient language?"

Roku slowly shook his head. His grey eyes were now glued to the beautiful girl before him. "It means keeper of fate. In ancient times only those who possess great destinies are given your name." Monica sweetly cooed.

"So how old are you, Roku?" She questioned.

"N... Nine, I'm nine years old." Roku slowly stuttered out.

"Oh. Your four years younger than me huh? Well then you'll just have to call me big sister Monica from now on okay?" Monica then pulled the dazed Roku into her embrace, completely engulfing him. She whispered excitedly into his ear. "We're gonna be good friends!"

Roku could smell the fragrant lavender scent of her golden hair. "But...But why, that old guy was right I am from the streets. So why would you want to be my friend?"

Monica released him and looked him in the eyes, "I told you, don't worry about Marcus, okay. Any way you're not living on the streets anymore, you'll be living in the Neel family from now on."

"But why?" He repeated again in a daze.

"Because your so cute!" She grinned.

"Now come on! I want you to meet my little brother and sister. They're twins and they're 9 years old too. I'm sure your going to be great friends!" Monica practically  dragged Roku out of her court yard and straight to the training courtyard.

As soon as they entered the courtyard, the children that were busy exercising stopped to look at them. More precisely, they fixed burning gazes on angel-like Monica. Her golden hair was shimmering in the morning sunlight and a radiant smile hung on her pink lips. 

The surrounding children could only cast admiring gazes at her. The eyes of the two elders also lit up at the sight of the girl. She is after all the little angel of the family. 

"Greetings lady Monica, your looking radiant as usual." The 4th elder who usually possessed a dominant aura and a grim face. Was looking unusually jovial. His face was screwed up while he attempted to smile.

"Good day milady." The 2nd elder had a scholarly closed lip smile stretched across his face. 

"Hello Uncle 4th and uncle 2nd. I'm looking for my brother and sister. Could you tell me if you saw them?" Monica asked respectfully.

"Ah, young Lord Hank is taking rest under the mammoth trunk tree, but I haven't seen the little lady." The 4th elder replied.

Monica's delicate lips twitched for only a fraction of a second before going back to normal. "Okay, thanks uncles." Monica smiled as she pulled the flustered Roku away.

The elders couldn't help but curiously look at the skinny boy that was being pulled along by their mistress.

Monica and Roku arrived before a young boy sitting under the huge mammoth trunk tree. Sitting between two large, divergent roots, the youth, despite having slightly plump cheeky from the left over baby fat. And a childish appearance coupled with his stiff concentrating expression looked cutely mature.

As soon as they approached, the boy's eyes opened. His eyes were a deeper shade of green than Monica, however his hair was pitch black and only reached his neck. 

"Big sis! The boy jumped up and threw himself on Monica, giving her a tight hug. 

"Haha! Little Hank your all sweaty!" Monica began ruffling the boy's hair causing the boy let her go immediately.

"Sorry sis! Are you going to instruct me today?" The boy asked with obvious excitement.

"You little brat! That's all you think about! Train! Train! Train! Huh!" Monica had a tick mark on her forehead as she caught the boy and rubbed his head with her knuckles.

"Ow, ow, big sis, I only want to be strong like you! So I must train hard!" The boy groaned in pain.

"Hehe, good boy at least your better than your sister! Speaking of which!" Monica turned around with angry eyes, ready to stomp away, but realized that's she had yet to introduce Roku. In fact she had forgotten about him just now.

"Oh! I can't believe I forgot you Roku!" She screamed and then grabbed him placed him before her brother.

"Little Hank, this is Roku he'll be staying with us so try to be friends with him okay." She then spun to Roku and said in a gentle voice, "Roku, this is my little brother Hank. Talk to him for a bit I'll be right back."

With that said, she sped out of the courtyard before Roku, Hank or any of the other children could see. However the 4th and 2nd elders were obvious exceptions.

Roku was left in awe. He had never see such speed before in his life. After blankly staring at the direction Monica shot off to for a while Roku heard a cold, youthful voice behind him. 

"Are you from the Red boar academy?"

"Huh?" Roku turned to look at him.

"Are. You. From. The. Red. Boar. Academy?" He asked with a cool voice. 

"Um, no." Roku replied with a puzzled expression.

"Where are you from then?" He questioned again. 

"I..I..um." Roku stuttered to answer. He was quite confused about the boy and his questions. Just what did he want?

Before Roku could utter a word Hank said, "Whatever let's spar." He then assumed a graceful fighting stance.

There was only one thought within Raku's mind, 'Huh!?'

After cleaning the bed and themselves in the washroom, both of them got ready. Ni Zi was wearing a purple robe with flowery patterns, which was accentuating her womanly charms. Du Zi was wearing a simple light blue robe with a white inner garment, illuminating his masculine appeal. 
When Du saw Ni was done with wearing too, he moved closer towards her and held her by her waist.
 Since she just took a shower, her hair was still a little wet and glistening with superficial watery elements. The most wonderful part was near her collar bone that was glowing under the sunlight coming from the window, enthralling Du Zi. 

He smilingly commented after gazing at her, "Ni'er, are you trying to bewitch me?" 
She just chuckled then wrapped her hands around his neck and replied back while losing herself in his eyes, "fufu..I can say the same about you." After saying that she took the initiative and gave him a light kiss. Du tried going deeper with it but she pushed him away gently.

"Not now or we will be late for breakfast." Du just sighed with a smile and princess carried her till the kitchen, where yesterday's hunt was.
It was an oversized boar that was on the third low rank of Quiescent Seed Realm, which was divided into 11 stages. That was again subdivided into three low ranks, three medium ranks, four high ranks, and one peak rank. The quiescent Seed realm was the first step towards becoming a Cultivator for mortals. In this realm, they had to train their body to its physical limit. To reach that limit, many go through extremely harsh training, lift heavy weights or spar with strong opponents, animals, etc. To help them with that there were many techniques called the Corporeal Arts. 

This section included the right way to reach the physical body limit and have the least amount of bodily disadvantages. But it completely depended on the rank of the technique that person is using since the better it is, the more benefits it will bring. The known grades for corporeal arts in this world were Abyss, Earth, Mystical, Heaven, and Divine. All these grade techniques had several unique regimes for training the body to become a vassal for the next extreme realm. The boar had a thick hide and strong defense because of its rank. Du had to use his 4th rank Quiescent seed power to defeat this creature since the power of humans and beasts were divergent.

After taking a whiff of her scent near Ni's neck, Du put her down. Ni just softly muttered, "Pervy husband," which to Di just chuckled and replied, "Only for you..hehe.." 
She just smiled at that and started working on skinning the boar, which was properly preserved by her so it does not rot. After skinning it she began slicing the meats while arranging everything necessary for cooking it. 

Du was not lazing around and focused on cutting up all kinds of vegetables which were collected by them from their garden, also the nearby wilderness. The first to be done was Du who then relocated towards his wife to help her. She had her hair getting in the way, so, he accommodated her tying it up while hugging her from behind. Ni could feel the sleepy beast in her ass crack and his hot breath near her ear which made it turn red similar to her facial cheeks.  

The sight transfixed Du and he simply bit her ear where it was the reddest. Noticing her tremble and stopping her work, he first wrapped his hands around her fit belly then slowly started moving his towards her hand, while putting his head on the right side of her neck. 
Sensing his face touching, Ni just rubbed it using her cheeks.
While caressing the top of her hand, Du calmly asked her, "Should we try doing that?" Ni understood what he meant by that and just hummed. 

Then Du also took a knife and began slicing while urging her to also do it, which she did instantly. Their rhythm was extremely accurate having almost no flaws while cutting up the boar's meats into small chunks together. Depending on the length, width, of the different shaped meats, Du would start from a position on the meat and cut specifically on diverse points highlighted by them in their minds, that had a slicy(one slice) distance from Ni's region. So that 

Ni could follow up behind and they didn't get hurt while finishing the work lightning fast. This was a never seen homely method created by them to work like this and feel each other's warmth at the same time. After cutting enough meat for each other's bowl, Ni cooked the meat, vegetables while adding water and spices in the midst of these in an orderly fashion to not let the food be overcooked or undercooked. Du was also giving her a hand in all of those. While the food was cooking Ni and Du were conversing as they were embracing each other. (Pov. Maybe, next chapter

As curiosity got the best of me I press the [On] option of the 4th wall awareness ability on the system interface. 

After selecting option [On], similar to Deadpool I became aware and I said excitedly in my normal 6-year-old high pitch pubescent voice. 

"Author I know your there and I guess you wanted me to get this ability, but I don't really care. I'm just curious, am I going to get a harem!" I said out loud

(Author: Yeah sure, why not? I just gave you this ability so that I could make this chapter longer and reach 553 words, LOL XD and BTW your other abilities was from the readers.)

"Really!" 

 Both of my eyes open wide and sparkle like glitter.

Completely focusing on the harem part the Author mentioned after I hear a Morgan Freeman like a voice in my head.

"Hey, Akuma" I tugged at my brother as I ate a large fry. 

As Akuma looks at me after the tug, I said "I think big bro's going crazy"

"Look at him talk to the air" I pointed at big bro. 

"It's bad to point at people" Akuma rebukes

"It's bad to eat with your mouth open" I shout

Akuma stares at me angrily as a pure dark flame shroud his body slowly and his shadow began to expand and everything around him began to sink within his shadow. 

"Hphm! If it's a fight you want, than a fight you will get " I shouted as a pure white flame also shrouds my body and the light shone brighter around me and my surroundings began to burn.

In a blink of an eye, four days have already gone by. During this four days, the city square of the of the royal capital of the Mulan kingdom had turned into an execution ground.

Every day, there would be a new head hung high up on a pole in the city square. Each one of them belonged to either a powerful noble or a high-ranking official within the royal court.

Furthermore, each of those high ranking officials was either found guilty of a crime so atrocious that the punishment was execution and seizure of properties while the others were spies of the Nicholas Empire.

As for the ten men that were plotting to kill Shad with the 2nd prince, they were the first one to be brutally killed. However, before they were killed, Shad had managed to get some information from them by using the brain-devouring insect. As such, he was able to discover quite a few rats who intended to cause some troubles to the Djage empire by allying themselves with the 3rd prince of the Nicholas empire.

However, his most important discovery was a slave trading ring within the royal capital of the Mulan Kingdom.

It's been more than fifty years since the Djage Empire had banned slavery.  The imperial family had taken action and the slave trade had dried up.  Many nobles families that were associated with slavery were destroyed and those who gained wealth from it became corpses the next day.

The imperial family was very strict when it comes to slavery and the policy remained even now, as such, Shad had used this policy to clean up the whole royal capital and get rid of any nobles that did not seem pleasing to the eye.

As for the assassination attempt orchestrated by the 2nd prince to get rid of the 4th imperial prince, It remained a secret from the populations except for some members of the royal family as well as some high court officials and nobles.  Nobody knew that the 2nd prince had run away with his tail between his legs, leaving the Royal capital after trying to kill the 4th imperial prince.

Two days after the assassination attempt, the queen had suddenly disappeared as well. Even the king himself did not know where she went not to mention Shad.

However, how come the royal family could keep a lit on these events. On the fourth day, the news about these events got out and set many waves in the royal capital. The citizens of the royal capital finally knew why the 4th prince was going on a killing spree.

Most of the people that had suffered from the hands of those nobles that were executed were happy and loudly clamoring with the others regarding how God had answered their prayers by sending the 4th prince to kill those dirty nobles who fed on their commoners' status and abused them.

The people praised the 4th prince endlessly, while the officials, as well as the nobles, were all feeling restless. Even though they were just hunting down spies and traitors right now, but who knew when this little devil would start chopping down greedy nobles and officials who took bribes?

This was something no one could predict. 

With them officials in general, including those from a different kingdom or empire,  who could say that their ass was completely clean and never did some bad deeds?  Who had never wiped their asses with their hands? Honesty, Integrity... are you kidding? Are there such good officials like that in this world, especially a world such as Eidrin where the strong feeds on the weak. 


As they could do nothing about it or go against the 4th imperial prince,  all the nobles and officials started to straighten up without any orders. Even the King did not dare to voice any complaint not to mention them. From what they heard, the king was enjoying the last days of his life by drinking wine and eats all sorts of delicacies, even the disappearance of the queen did not faze him or stopped him from enjoying his last days not to mention them who he wanted to get rid off a long time ago.

They just wanted to do good in front of the 4th imperial prince, some of them that possessed stores and restaurants within the royal capital started to give discounts to all the commoners that came to buy stuff from them. For those what had commoners working for them as servants, gardeners, or maids, they have all given them a raise.

Meanwhile, the commoners started to come up with all kind of phrases, praising the 4th imperial prince. One of the most popular phrases was. " When the Son of Heaven set foot within the capital, all the nobles and crooked thieves became upright citizens and saints."  As for the nobles, the 4th imperial prince was nothing but a little devil incarnate.

As those words spread, everyone who heard it nodded in agreement. It was as if these words were an actual reflection of how they felt. Whether they were noble and commoners, they all felt that their description of the 4th imperial prince was spotted on.

Also, the biggest winner of all these events wasn't the 4th imperial prince but the crown prince Roman. After the 4th prince had executed all the traitorous nobles as well as high-rank officials, there was a huge vacancy left within the royal court. The crown prince had used this opportunity to strengthen his power within the capital as well as filling some of the vacancies with some of his own people.

He started holding control of the Mulan kingdom and his succession to the throne was a clear deal, especially after his little brother had disappeared.  There was no one who could shake his position as the future king of the Mulan kingdom, except for this little devil, the 4th imperial prince. One word from him was enough to strip away everything.

Within the 4th imperial prince's mansion.

It was already night nighttime, Currently, Shad was sitting within a small hot spring in the backyard of his estate. the moonlight spilled onto the water making its bottom more visible to the naked eye.

The size of the small hot spring was about average, and the water was very clear due to the full moon hung high up on the midnight sky. You could even see the small rocks as well as the pebbles at the bottom just by standing near the hot spring.

At this moment, Shad was butt naked as he sat within the hot spring with his eyes closed. His body sank to the bottom, with only his head out of the water and his back leaning against the wall. He hadn't been so relaxed for a while.

After a while he slowly opened his eye, with a long breath of relief, he called out, " Monalisa."

Monalisa arrived swiftly and stood behind his back. She was sexy and enticing as usual.

" Young master." 

As she was speaking, she blushed lightly when she noticed Shad's clothes on the side of the hot spring. Judging from that, she could guess that Shad was without clothes in the water, naked.

Shad did not turn around, and with his eyes closed, he asked,"  Are there any updates on Lisa about the other books." 


" Miss Lisa said that she will probably won't be able to let you read the rest of the books because it seemed like his parents won't let her do so.  Apparently, there is a rumor of someone being able to decipher the language within the book and his family was looking for that person. Even your imperial family was doing the same, as such his parents won't let her take the book away not even for a second." 

" According to his family, the content of that book could break the balance of power within the Egul continent." Replied Monalisa with a clear voice.

Listening to Monalisa, Shad was a little surprise. 

' Don't tell me there was another person beside me and Henry that transmigrated into this world as well from Earth,' He thought to himself. If that was the case, then he has to hurry and look for the pod that Henry came with to see if he could find any useful items before it was too late. As for the other volume of the book, he will worry about that once he was done with that pod.

" I see. Anyway, we will leave for the southern region of the Mulan kingdom in two days.  I don't think I need to kill any more nobles. As for the Andres family, I ordered Roman to keep a close watch on them."  Right now Shad was only thinking about that pod and increased his strength. Currently, he was at the Peak of the 4th class mage and was able to deal with a 5th rank warrior or a mage. As for the ranks above, he was not really confident, especially the 7th rank.

Shad knew that if there was really someone that could read that book beside him, then it won't be long before the whole Egul Continent was engulfed into a never-ending war. He had the feeling that the content of the rest of the diaries really had the power to change the balance of power between the four great empires. Which was why he had to increase his strength, otherwise, he won't even be considered as an appetizer in the eye of the high-level warrior and mage.

" Young master, with the current situation of the south, do you think it was wise to kill all those nobles and high officials. Don't you think that it weakened the power of the Mulan Kingdom?" Asked Monalisa while shad was lost in thought.

She really didn't understand why his young master was killing all those people while the situation of the kingdom wasn't that optimistic. The kingdom was already weak already, by killing all those people who had a little bit of power, it further weakened the overall strength of the Mulan kingdom. 

" Well, if you want to deal with the foreing invasion, you need to first deal with the internal pacifications. There were so many factions within the kingdom due to the princes fighting against one another, they've never agreed with one another.  By erasing the fraction of the 2nd prince, the crown prince has all the power now which would make things easier. not to mention most of them were traitors and slave traders"  Answered Shad with both of his eyes still closed.

Listening to his young master, Monalisa couldn't but to agree with him. 

" Alright, you can leave now and tell Mark to make some preparation for the trip. Also, there is someone that you should meet when we get there. I hope you guys will get along just fine" As he dismissed her, Shad started to meditate on his own with his eyes closed. However,  a while had passed, but he didn't hear Monalissa leave.

While he was about to open his eyes, he heard the water splashed. He quickly closed his eyes again pretending that he didn't hear anything. After some time, he heard someone slide through the water and immediately felt a strange and soft feeling below. That's when he realized that it was from Monalisa licking and sucking his little brother.

Shad felt as though he was in heaven. His legs flexed, and his muscles started clenching all over and tensing awkwardly. It was the first time, he was receiving that kind of treatment from a girl.

When they did it the first time, it was Shad that was doing it for her but tonight, it seemed like it was her turn, and from the look of it, it seemed like she had mastered it as well to perfection. Shad could clearly feel a tingling sensation, every time she swirled her tongue around his little brother. 

Shad didn't dare to open his eyes as he was enjoying this feeling. After some time had passed, his little brother shot a huge amount of creamy projectiles before it reverted back to his previous size. However, how could Monalisa give it a break, she quickly started licking it again before it woke up from his slumber.

Seeing this, Shad could not bear it anymore and finally opened his eyes. He pushed her onto the ground, pulled her legs apart and savagely thrust himself inside. 

It seemed as though Monalisa was waiting for that as well, she quickly circled her legs around his waist like vines, gently spreading apart as she was moaning softly.  Her body softened under Shad's intense thrusting and orgasmed over and over again until she was panting from breathlessness.

This is a story about Shad, a young orphan who was struck by lightning. Instead of dying, he was reborn into another world known as Eidrin. The next few of days went by as Aser busied himself with finishing the trials. His understanding of the First Son's Academy had also improved due to his observations. Other than studying, his favorite part of the day was getting lunch in the cafeteria. 

He had discovered a few unusual quirks among his peers. He noticed that some of the boys would always try to approach the girls with flattery at first, but any disagreements would result in them challenging the girls. Yet, the girls would happily accept the challenges and return after some time looking triumphant. This had happened more than a few times over the last few days. 

He had also discovered that most of the larger groups of students were also made out of girls. At the beginning, he was confused as to why it would be as such considering the name of the Academy, but later found out it was due to the three largest student unions being led by girls. 

He had also been observing the auburn haired girl who was essentially his closest friend at the academy even though they had only had a single conversation. She would sit at the same table everyday, and every time she would have a slice of bread with some mixed fruit juice while reading a book. Sneaking glances at her whenever he could, he saw that she would read completely divergent topics everyday. One day, she would be holding a book on the geography of a certain island, and the next day she would bring with her a research paper written on Essence Particles. Another quirky observation he had made was that she wouldn't just read, but would also jot down a few notes on a separate notepad after she finished a few pages. 

At the moment, Aser was sitting across from the auburn haired girl while eating a bowl of broccoli soup with chicken tenders. He saw that the book she brought today was on a topic he was familiar with. It was named "Disposition of Essence Particulates on Constant Velocity", and this topic had been the same as Book 12 of the Essence Cultivation series that Ashes had compiled for him. He remembered that it was truly difficult for him a few weeks ago to wrap his head around the concept, and noticed the slight hints of perplexity on the young girl's face. 

"I had a rough time figuring out the concept of Disposition on Essence as well," Aser said, deciding to help her if he could, "The main reason I was confused was I couldn't understand how Essence would always be moving even though it seemed to stay still when I cultivated. Actually, after thinking about it, I realized that the main reason they seemed static was actually do to our actions of cultivation. It's like, when we don't cultivate, the Essence flows around us, but when we start cultivation, we become a giant vacuum that holds the nearby Essence in place!"

Suddenly, the girl lifted her head and looked at Aser with a sparkling gaze, as if what he had said just now was equal to an epiphany gained from a wise sage. Seeing her look at him so respectfully, Aser scratched his head while his face grew hot. 

"Umm, I'm sure you would have figured it out soon as well…"

"What about cultivation during movement? As far I know, there are also forms of cultivation that can be done during movement, such as Tai Jia cultivation.", the girl suddenly spat out a blurb of words. Listening to her excited voice and the interesting question, Aser started talking with her about his understanding.

An unknown amount of time passed by for the both of them. The food had already turned cold on their plates, and the surroundings had a lot less people shuffling around. The both of them didn't seem to notice any of it, as if they were in their own small bubbles, separated from the mundane due to their fervent discussion. After a while, the both of them suddenly became quiet and started giggling.

"Wow, I didn't know objects in constant velocity would be able to affect particle density even! Haaaah, it's how they say, always better to discuss with a peer than to read on your own." the girl said after a while. 

"Yup, definitely!", Aser nodded while leaning back into his seat. "Oh! I'm sorry about my introduction from a few days ago. My name is Aser Scholt." he added, a hint of awkwardness and fear flitting through his gaze. Ever since he saw the notice, Aser had been very hesitant in introducing himself to others. He didn't want to feel as if he was an animal in a zoo. 

"Umm, I'm Julia. Julia Hawke from the Hawke family in Eastern Shelfield. I realized it was the famous Aser Scholt when you stopped your introduction the other day haha.", Julia replied. "But, are you not from Shelfield Coast City Aser? I don't remember any families going by the last name Scholt?" 

Hearing her question, he lowered his head with a hint of melancholy and sadness. "I'm not from any family. I was raised in an orphanage since I was young." he replied, seemingly upset at his situation. 

"Oh!" feeling slightly awkward, she added, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

"No, it's fine. I'm glad you asked, at least now we won't have to feel awkward about it anymore.", Aser said, snapping out of his memories. Even though it had only been a few days, he had already started missing the orphanage and Sister Tully, but he needed to grow up. 

Looking around the cafeteria and noticing it's absence of other people, the duo realized that it was getting late. Getting up from their seats almost simultaneously, they headed to clean up their portions, a silent atmosphere enveloping their surroundings. Grabbing their few belongings, they headed out of the cafeteria. Standing by the entrance for a minute in an awkward silence, Aser turned to her and said, "I should get going. It was nice talking with you. Same time, same place tomorrow?"

Julia nodded her head a bit shyly while mumbling out a barely audible "Okay". Sensing it was time to part, the duo headed towards their destinations. After a few steps though, both of them stopped and realized….they were both going to the library. Sharing a slight glance, Aser couldn't help but start laughing, triggering quiet giggles from the girl beside him. 

Letting go of the awkward atmosphere, they both started chatting while jaunting towards the library. The duo painted a picture of serene youthfulness, the autumn sunset harmonizing with the music of the breeze, creating a melody of a fated meeting.

Beasts had unlocked their System during the Ancient Era, and were once the rulers of the world. A catastrophe had caused them all to go into slumber, ushering in the Venture era where humanity started leaving their settlements to explore. As civilization progressed and tensions rose, humanity fought with themselves for the large swathes of territory. Near the end of the Conquer era, the beasts started awakening from their slumber and pushed humanity to the brink of destruction. Through efforts from humanity's top leaders, the system was unlocked for man, and thus began the era of Enlightenment. 

The goal of everyone in this era is to get enlightened, to seek Ascension. Now every child, every family, every influence seek to be an Ascended like the heroes of their world. 

Aser, an Unknown child raised in an orphanage in the Southern Seas. Like others, on his 7th birthday, the system had awakened in his mind, but he realizes he's special. As he explores the mysteries of the System, our protagonist strives to excel, to prove his worth in the world of Gigantis, to find his parents and to figure out the path to Ascension.

"H-How could this be? This is not the summer season for the water channels to dry up." One of the Grand elders shouted in agitation. Water was a resource they heavily relied upon for their daily needs.

Their bodies didn't require any food for their survival. They only needed air, sunlight, and water for sustenance. Freshwater, therefore, was a must for them. They could survive by drinking seawater but, the greater the amount of seawater they consumed, the more sluggish their bodies would become, something that would decrease their survival rates drastically.

The location where their village was established had only been finalized after various factors had been extensively considered with camouflage and a source of freshwater being a significant factor in their consideration.

Water, it was their source of nourishment and also their miracle healing elixir. Now, their underground water channel's flow has been steadily decreasing due to unnatural causes. That can only mean one thing, the Gods had managed to finally grasp onto their lifeline.

"Do we have any more issues that have to be addressed other than these four?" Prakash said as he massaged his aching temples. These issues were quite disturbing if they weren't dealt with properly.

"Yes, there is," An elder stood up immediately as he addressed the next issue, his facial expression seemed to say that he had even more unfortunate news to tell them. He was the 4th elder who was in charge of scouting their perimeters and gathering all necessary intelligence.

"Grand elders, 10 kilometres to the west of our village, one of my scout teams saw a vast expanse of Black-wood trees that had abruptly appeared a day ago. Our scouts had only managed to scale its vastness by today and it's….."

"Wait, by Black-wood trees, do you mean that the Gods had created another new species? In such a short interval?" Anita interjected with her question.

"I don't know about that grand elder," The 4th elder shook his head as he continued, "The appearance of this tree matches with the one termed as the Black-wood tree in the encyclopaedia Grand elder Prakash had given us."

"Yes, I remember compiling such a book about a month ago. It was a list of whatever crap the Gods had created that roamed about in our vicinity." Prakash nodded in response as he calmly replied to the incredulous look of Anita that implied, 'You had the time to compile such a list?'

"Where's this book you speak of?" Anita inquired towards the 4th elder who in turn disappeared from his seat and then reappeared back with a book that was twice bigger than his body in both length and breadth. Its thickness was about 5 times his height; A seriously unbalanced book.

"Show me the page with the Black-wood tree you mentioned," Anita said as all the grand elders excluding Prakash huddled over the book. They had to actually climb up on the stone tables to barely reach a quarter height of the book.

The 4th elder flipped open the book, tilted it forward so that the open pages would be placed perpendicular to the floor and ensure that all the grand elders could easily view the content of the book and turn the pages if necessary.

"Here it is," The 4th elder said as he flipped hundreds of pages and pointed at one particular page. The entire book seemed to be made up of finely interwoven silk and each page happened to be sturdier than paper. This also resulted in each page being thin while also having a glossy look on its surface. Created with such intricate materials, the book was water and fire resistant to a certain extent and also had a long shelf life.

The painting happened to be of a large tree that had a black trunk that swelled at the bottom and elongated to the top as it became thin like a needle. It looked as if a balloon that was filled with water to the point of bursting was gently placed on the ground until a quarter of its height; there would be a wide conical bottom due to the water pressure as the water balloon rested on the floor while the top would be thin when it is held by an anchor.

The appearance of the Black-wood tree was similar to the analogy of the water-filled balloon except that it was pitch black in colour and also had a metallic sheen on its bark. At the topmost point of the trunk, there were two wide green leaves that swayed on either side of the trunk, looking as if the thin segment of the top of the trunk would break with a gentle wind due to the big size and wide span of the two leaves.

What was interesting were the two lines that were written below the picture of the Black-wood tree. The first line indicated the name of the tree that had been depicted in the picture whereas the other line stated, "A tree with a voracious appetite for water and with an iron-like trunk."

"Care to explain?" One of the grand elders who was once a herbalist and a person of little words promptly inquired Prakash, the person who drew the picture.

"It's as what the book says," Prakash said with a sigh, "I'm no expert in plants. I just compiled this book in a hurry and didn't have much time to observe all the weird things that the Gods had created in the past few months."

"Then prepare me a list of all the unusual plants that you have discovered. I'll personally investigate about their properties after this meeting concludes." The grand elder said.

"I'll accompany you with my personal team of scouts. We'll ensure that the trip is swift and stealthy." The 4th elder said as he gazed at the grand elder in astonishment. The way she talked and acted spoke volumes about her expertise in this field, something the elder's council could only barely graze the tip of such a vast field even after extensively studying about them for the past one full month. 

"Sure," The grand elder nodded as she sat back in her seat along with the others after they took a good look at the picture once again.

"Is there anyone else who wishes to speak next?" Anita spoke out loud as she awaited a reply from the elders.

"I do," It was the 2nd elder who stood up this time; as someone in charge of their village's defence, her every action exuded charm and might. Her aura as she spoke was no weaker than the 1st elder, "Just a few minutes before this meeting began, 21 subordinates of mine had zombified."

Her words were short, but it sent a ripple through everyone in the Elder's Dome, including Prakash and Anita; their gazes turned solemn once again.

"I remember venturing out today before recounting one of my stories to the children but there weren't any unusual climatic conditions that I had to worry about. And just before this meeting began, when I checked upon the warriors fighting in the outposts, they all looked healthy with their bodies having absorbed sufficient sunlight," Prakash said; feeling confused.

"There are a few blankets encompassing thousands of birds that are circulating above the territory of our village and below them, another thick blanket of flying insects are hovering a couple of metres above the ground ensuring that not a single ray of sunlight can pass through. Except for a few outposts that have been prepared for our escape and located quite a few kilometres away from our village, all the other outposts are blanketed from receiving sunlight. The phenomenon began when I was on my way to the Elder's Dome for this meeting. Now, it looks almost as if it is the night during a no-Moon day on the surface." The 2nd elder said; her expression distraught. She wanted to head to the battlefield right away even though she knew the importance of this meeting.

Their transformation powers came at a severe cost, i.e. if they don't absorb sufficient sunlight to curb the side-effects then they would no longer be able to battle. And if the side-effects accumulated to a certain degree, their bodies would undergo zombification, something that no proud warrior intended to witness.

The zombification was a process where one lost control of his transformation ability and turned into a deranged monster that only sought to consume the flesh of the living. What was even worse about the zombification process was that the resulting zombie spreads an aura of death in its surroundings due to which any warrior within the region of effect wouldn't be able to transform.

Before the grand elders could completely process their thoughts about this matter, the 1st elder, the one in charge of raids and the one with the highest battle strength interrupted their discussions with a loud shout as he gazed at the nervous figure of the 2nd elder.

"I am sorry if this makes me sound disrespectful, but currently my soldiers are dying in the hands of a new terrifying enemy that had appeared today and I want to be present in the battlefield and reduce our losses. I have trust in your wise judgement of these pressing issues, so please excuse me." The 1st elder said as he dashed towards the exit of the Elder's Dome. He had long since lost his patience because for every second he delayed here, one of his soldiers would die.

He could only sit through the meeting till now because the matters that had to be addressed were pressing enough and as the 1st elder, he should be actively finding a solution for all the issues that befell their village. As the warrior with the highest battle strength excluding the grand elders, the first elder ought to face their threat in battle. 

And moreover, except for the existence of Prakash, the common people and warriors of their village didn't even know about the existence of grand elders including Anita. They only thought Prakash as an old mysterious man whose strength was unfathomable since they never saw him in battle. Only the elders' council were privy to greater details. So, in the eyes of the warriors who were currently in battle, only the 1st elder was their pillar of strength and support.

"My oh my, don't be in such a rush lad. You have endured till now, what's the harm in enduring for a few more minutes. Let us first know about this new threat that has appeared." The burly man lazily spoke as he stood in front of the exit to the elders Dome as if he had always been there.

The first elder was shocked to find the burly man standing in front of him and at 5 other grand elders who had apparently surrounded him without him even noticing their approach. They were incomparably faster than even him.

"If some soldiers die, it's their fault for not being strong enough."

"If they survive, they would surely grow stronger."

"Worrying about their lives as if you were the person who birthed them, you should have more control over your emotions."

"If this is your reaction to the supposed death of a few people, maybe the village had been peaceful for a long time."

"Y-You madmen!...." The body of the 1st elder trembled in rage as he heard the dissuading remarks from each grand elder that surrounded him.

The other elders including the usually calm and collected 2nd elder were shocked at the cold remarks from the grand elders that surrounded the first elder.

"Haste makes waste, careful preparation guarantees victory. Let this uphill battle temper your soldiers; this would make them into warriors capable of truly protecting this village from actual harm and not needlessly throw their lives for small skirmishes." Prakash coldly commanded the 1st elder to restrain himself from making any unwise decisions. If he still disobeyed their warnings and tried to charge out, the Grand elders would definitely destroy him into pieces within a second.

Who among them hadn't witnessed a few deaths? The grand elders were each battle-hardened warriors who had survived through countless deaths, battles, betrayals and calamities where they lost both friend and foe. Their impression of the 1st elder dropped by a few points as they saw his weak mindset that got flustered over the loss of a few soldiers, a quality that was an absolute NO for one who stood at the peak of their village barring the Grand elders who were at the end of their lifespan.

"You left the battle in the hands of your subordinates before this meeting began. Unless no emergency report comes in, you are obligated to see through to the end of this meeting. This village wouldn't have stood tall till now if you are required to intervene in every battle. Now, describe the appearance of the new creature that you have deemed as a threat." Prakash said as he seeped out a little of his killing intent. For one, it was to shut up the 1st elder while on the other hand, it was to warn the grand elders to not go overboard against a young talented person even if he was an elder. 

The face of the 1st elder turned red in anger and his legs shivered in shock to Prakash's dense killing intent even though he knew it was only a tip of the iceberg of Prakash's true strength. Even the 2nd elder barely managed to rein in her anger and avoid a conflict with the grand elders while the other elders also expressed similar emotions.

The 1st elder grit his teeth, took a few deep breaths to control himself from flipping out and began, "Each creature that had appeared today on various battlefields situated next to our outposts were about our size but had numerous bizarrely shaped dragonfly-like wings on their backs….."

Embarking on a journey to reunite with his wife and one-year-old son, our protagonist arrives at the edge of a cliff. But, the landscape he presumed to be a cliff actually turned out to be the edge of his couch. He had shrunk to such an extent that his TV remote looked bigger than him. 

Things that were taken for granted before now necessitated life and death struggles as our protagonist searches for his family while trying to survive the onslaught of various insects, each of which were now as huge as him.
