It was the day of the premier of the first magic movie: The Wolf Princess. The movie had a gripping story about a young girl overcoming her fears and coming to terms with herself. It would be a story that brings tears to people's eyes. Roland also intended it to be propaganda, in order make the people more accepting of new things, specifically witches with nonhuman appearances. The release of The Wolf Princess would be another milestone in the integration of witches into society.

Many notable people attended this first viewing of the movie. Among them were various top officials of Neverwinter as well as wealthy merchants from other cities. The renowned playwright Kajen Fels had come to watch the movie. Also attending was Steven and Zero.

Steven was no stranger to movies, but there were reasons that he wanted to see this one. Besides the fact that it was groundbreaking for this world, the magic movie was also different from movies on Earth, and it was perhaps more advanced in certain areas. The magic movie provided a full immersive experience, much like virtual reality. Since VR movies have not yet been created on Earth, this would be something new. The closest thing there was to a magic movie would be an IMAX 3-D film.

Steven wanted to see the magic movie for himself since reading about it in a book was a lot different from seeing it in person. So, he decided to take a short break from work and took the train to Neverwinter along with Zero to watch a movie together.

Steven and Zero took a seat in the theatre and bought some popcorn. Soon, an ethereal voice was heard throughout the theatre.

"A warm welcome to the magic movie theater of Graycastle. The Wolf Princess is about to begin. May everyone kindly return to their seats and listen carefully to the rules which should be observed. If there're any problems during the screening, please act in accordance with the rules in order to prevent accidents from occurring."

"First of all, the magic movie's duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes, throughout which there'll be no break. You're not allowed to leave your seat on your own. If you require assistance, simply pull on the string of the bell located under your seat and wait."             

"Secondly, this will be an unprecedented viewing experience. Please don't panic no matter what happens, and remember that it's only a very special kind of play, instead of a real event. You'll be held accountable by the Neverwinter Police Department for any harm or loss you cause to a third party."

Many members of the audience began snickering as they thought the statement was ridiculous. They couldn't conceive of how anyone would be able to mistake a play for reality. Steven smiled. Unlike the others, he wasn't amused by the warning statement, rather he was amused by the reaction of the audience. Soon, they would be in for a shocking experience. He wished he could see their faces when the movie started.

"The show shall now begin."

The room dimmed and then there was a flash. Then, everything turned pitch black. Steven did feel that darkness was somewhat disconcerting. However, hearing the screaming coming out of the other audience members made him laugh.

As the light reemerged, a cold snowy land was shown. The movie was all encompassing and it was like he was actually actually there. The scene was quite breathtaking. It was a very amazing experience and Steven was very impressed. It was so much more awe inducing than reading about it in words could have shown. He almost couldn't fault the other audience members who were currently sinking into hysteria.

As the movie progressed, more and more amazing images were shown and the action scenes were quite nerve wracking as it seemed to be happening right in front of his eyes. Steven could feel the adrenaline coursing through his body. The audience members were all making noises, too shocked by the scenes to control themselves. While it was amusing at first, Steven started becoming annoyed with the other noises being made.

Overall, the movie was quite good. The singing had been amazing; Steven didn't expect that music could be so good, even with magical assistance from Echo. The production quality was good. Although things could be better, the movie was already leagues above any play that existed in this world.

After the movie ended, everyone left the theatre and went to the waiting hall where they began eagerly discuss the movie. "The magic movie was amazing", Zero said. "I didn't imagine Stones of Recording could achieve such great effects."

"Indeed, magic is very useful for this. The movie was quite impressive", said Steven.

"Yes, it was something truly different. The imagery was very vivid", said Zero. "I wish that we could watch more of these movies."

"Well, how about we make magic movies ourselves", Steven suggested. "Then we could watch them all the time. It could also just be us two alone watching it, without all of these other people."

"Mmm." Zero seemed quite pleased with the idea.

"Our movies will be just as good as this one", Steven said confidently.

"I thought the plot of this movie was very good", said Zero. "It also seemed quite unique."

"The plot…" Steven had an awkward expression on his face. "Unique? Roland just knows how to copy."

At that moment, Roland approached them. "What did you think of the movie? Was it good?", he asked.

"Oh, we were just discussing your plagiarism", Steven said. "Quite a 'unique' plot you had. I suppose Frozen was as fine a choice as any. You should be glad Disney doesn't exist here to sue you."

Steven began looking around, just to make sure that there weren't going to be Disney goons suddenly appearing out of thin air. Disney was quite protective of its copyright, and they had a very long reach. Steven could only hope that being in another world would put them far enough away to be safe.

Roland chuckled. "I am the King here so Disney can't do anything to me."

"The production quality was decent", Steven said. "It looks like you really did put a lot of effort into this."

"It is the first movie, it has to be the best to give magic movies a good reputation", Roland replied. "Also, it was important for propaganda purposes."

They talked a little more about things before they left. On the way out, Steven ran into Kajen Fels, who was still looked somewhat overcome by the entire experience.

Steven approached him and started talking to him. "Are you Mister Fels, the renowned playwright?"

"Yes, that is me. Though I suppose that I have been outdone", he replied.

"You seem very impressed by the magic movie", Steven said.

Kajen nodded. "It was truly amazing. The magic movie will be revolutionary."

"Are you planning on making a magic movie in the future?", Steven asked.

"I plan on asking King Roland to allow me to work on magic movies. I hope that he will have a spot for me", Kajen said.

"I see. Well I hope you have good luck trying", Steven said. "It is always good to see someone established for a long time embrace new technologies and advancements. If Roland doesn't have a spot for you, feel free to come to Hermes."

"Oh? Who might you be?", Kajen Fels asked.

"I am the church's prime minister", Steven replied. "I am quite interested in magic movies as well."

"I will keep you in mind then", Kajen said.

After talking with Kajen Fels, Steven left along with Zero and took the train back to Hermes.

Chapter one: A Day At The Lake



I woke to the rumbling purr of Ares. He curled his paws under his body as he laid on my chest. I struggled to open my eyes to see my adorable kitty. His gray and brown fur lined with black stripes was so soft to the touch. He was my familiar. An animal who is deeply connected to a witch and assists them in magical affairs. He can't talk, but we can understand one another in different ways. 

It was summer break, one year into collage, and school was already harder than I thought. Not English. I was already finished with those classes. I was planning on taking some creative writing classes in the coming year for fun, but math had me stumped. I was at the lowest level and trying to get a science degree. A witch with a science degree. Wouldn't that be great. After that, I would go on to a university to try for a master's degree in zoology. If I could make it that long.

I had turned nineteen a few weeks ago. I didn't feel my age. Half of the time I felt like a child.

It was Tuesday, and Elizabeth and I had a whole day of hanging out planned. I needed a day out. I usually spend most of my time inside. Witches need to spend a lot of time outside to gather magical energy from the elements. Liz and I are not always great at being witches though. Since we both live in the crappy part of the city, there isn't much nature. Lucky for us there is a small man-made lake within walking distance. It's where the "rich houses" started, so it was usually lush with trees. The water, however, was infested with bacteria from birds and peoples moldy bread.

Liz and I were pretty much introverts. Her more so than me. She spent most of her time reading and I spent mine writing. We made a great team. She studied books on witchcraft passed down by other witches, while I practice the art of creating new spells. I am pretty good at it. I am what was known as a manipulator. A witch who naturally moves and changes energy... aka spells. Liz was an empath. She could tell what others are feeling and thinking. She also could feel and see the flow of magic. Kind of jealous of that. 

After I dressed in boot cut jeans and a light blue tank top, I peeked into my sister's room. Serena was playing on her tablet, listening to boy band music. Fitting, considering her walls were covered in posters of male pop sensations. 

"Serena. Want to come with me and Liz to the lake today?" I asked her.

"Not today. I'm going over to Bridgette's later. Her mom is picking me up." She never stopped looking at her tablet. 

Serena and I had gotten closer since I started college. Most of my friends and I started to drift apart already, and we were constantly arguing with mom. We both felt pretty lonely and decided we should be friends instead of sibling rivals.

"Ok, I'm heading out then. See ya!" I texted Liz that I was on my way.

Mom was still laying on the couch. She didn't have her own room. We were living in a two bedroom apartment and, though we fought almost daily, mom always tried to put us first. I am sure she also did not want to deal with my sister and I fighting over space in one room. 

My mom was a plump woman. Her health issues didn't allow her to do too much for too long. It was hard to try and lose weight. Even so, everyone in our family has natural curves. We all have "bubble butts" as my mom would say, and boobs to match. Even when my mom was skinny, she looked like an hourglass. 

"Morning honey." Mom paused her show.

"Good morning. I'm heading over to Liz's." I grabbed my backpack.

"Have fun." She said, "I'm leaving for work soon, so I'll be back around 9:30 tonight. I love you!"

"Love you too, mom." With that, I scurried out the door and wound my way through the gray apartment buildings with dirty concrete stairs and newly painted black doors. Luckily we were in the same complex, so I didn't have to go far. 

As I made my way through the apartment's playground, I saw Liz heading down from her apartment on the second floor. Good, I hated stairs. I was happy to be on a ground floor.

Liz pinned back the front of her dark brown hair so it wouldn't get in her face. She was in her usual black tank and jeans too long for either of us. 

"Sam!" She yelled, as she ran up to me. She widened her eyes, showed all of her teeth and pulled her head back to make a triple chin look. I screamed and hid behind the nearest tree. I laughed as she jumped out from around the tree trunk. She pretended to hump my leg and pushed her off as I shuttered. That's my bestie. Always trying to make me as uncomfortable as possible.

"Liz!" I licked my hand and wiped it on her face. 

She screamed "Eeewww!"

We walked to the dollar store a few blocks away and bought snacks and drinks. The summer heat was already beating down on me. I couldn't stand being too hot. As much as I loved the swimming, walking barefoot and wearing tank tops that comes with summer, I absolutely loved the winter time. Winter brought snow. The snow holds intense magic within it, and here in northern Nevada, we usually got lots of it come winter time. 

We made our way to the lake. In the middle of the shallow brown water sat two large fountains spewing out in every direction. It made it sound peaceful, despite the chatter of people walking the trail or the buzz of cars passing by. 

Liz and I had two favorite spots. The first was the dock. We found the entrance ramp that was lined in tall bushes and grasses and raced to the T shaped, white dock bouncing on the water. It was lined with railing and secured from floating away by large poles. 

We sat at the end eating our snacks. I pulled out a coke from my Frozen themed backpack, and Liz grabbed a Pepsi from her mini black back pack. Yes, I was obsessed with Disney. I told you I always felt more like a child.

"Pepsi is my soda husband." Liz said.

"What?" I gasped. "No way, we have to share. You can share coke with me."

"Nah, you can keep coke, I'll take Dr. Pepper." She winked.

"Deal. It's a shame, we'll have to find new husbands when were done with these." The coke burned my throat as I slurped it down.

"It's ok. I've got back ups at home." We both laughed.

"Do you think we sound crazy?" I asked.

"Sam... We're secret witches, staring at a man-made lake, while talking about soda husbands... we are crazy 'tupid head." 

I loved our weird talks. Half of the time we made no sense or were completely inappropriate. It was nice to have friends as weird and random as I was. Even my high school friends were super odd. Not everyone can handle all my crazy. 

Sharon was like an older sister. We were sister witches bound by magic. We had many fights in the past, but could never stand to stay apart for too long. It's not easy to be the only practicing witch around. I know she likes to be seen as tough, and she is, but I knew Liz didn't like to always feel alone. Her family were all bible thumpers and we didn't live in a great place for making friends – human or other. Most people our age around here were into drugs, wanabe gangs, or already on their second kid.

We moved to our second favorite spot a bit further down the lake. It was a small circle surrounded by trees and large rocks. It had some small broken statues and an unused water fountain just on the other side. This was our place of worship. There wasn't many choices in the city to hold sacred rituals in the arms of nature, so we made do with what we had. I'm sure most people were too high or stuck on their cell phones to notice us chanting, lighting candles and wearing strange clothes. Or they thought we were on crack. This was Reno after all.

We had a spot to represent each element in our circle of trees. Facing north sat a curved tree that laid out like a bench that we used for resting on while dangling our legs. This represented Earth. To the west was the lake and a stump in the shape of a kings chair facing it. This represented Water. To the south was a concrete bench we used to hold our candles and incense during ritual holidays. This was for Fire. The last side to the east held a broken statue more than 5 feet tall. This represented Air.

I said, "I stopped talking with that guy."

"Aww, that sucks. You'll find somebody eventually. I'm older than you and still haven't been on a date either."

I had been spending my days talking with a boy in Australia for quite some time. We video chatted almost daily. I loved listening to him talk. Who doesn't adore an Australian accent? He was smart and loved animals, almost as much as I did. We ended it though since we both knew it was unrealistic to ever meet in person. We were just too far away. 

I asked, "want to see something cool? I've been working on a protection spell." 

"Yuss!" Liz leaned forward to watch. 

I drew the Algiz rune on my hand with a sharpie I pulled from my bag. I held my palm forward, closed my eyes and chanted under my breath "Praesidium. Praesidium. Praesidium."

I opened my eyes and Canada geese began to gather from all directions. None got too close, but they formed a circle around us. Liz pulled out her book of shadows and flipped through her notes. 

"Geese are  a symbol of protection. Nice! That can come in handy around this place." Liz threw some cracked corn towards the geese for a snack.

After chatting about our worries and complaining about our moms, it was time to head over to the local crystal shop. Every Tuesday a few witches gather to give free energy healings. That is where we gathered notes on practicing our craft. A healing was nice, especially after practicing spells. It really starts to drain you after a while.

Wuming did not expect for him to do a good job with the transportation system. Sure, it took him longer, but it's a precaution from being traced. He took a bus then a train and started walking. The streets were mostly deserted and restaurants, coffeeshops, and bars were filled with warm light and people.
As much as he wanted warmth in this weather, he skipped those streets and moved farther away from the civilization. Compared to the other streets, his destination turned out to be a complete ghost town. Most of the business were closed and dark. Silhouettes of mannequin stood like frozen monsters from thrift shops and boutiques.
Finally, he reached the small shop with a bright red and green neon sign that was telling people that it was open. Wuming knew there was no one inside. He pulled the door open and the smell of burnt leaves entered his nose.
"Hello!" a woman greeted him. "Come in."
Wuming pushed past the bead curtain and entered the small space. There were no chairs and pillows littered the floor. Almost every inch was in a strange pattern and several candles lighted up the place together with the bright orange glow of the multiple lamps. It didn't look like there was a bigger source of fire but it was warm.
When he was informed that his target was a 'witch', he was basically looking for a huge cauldron in the middle of the room with green acid-looking liquid in it. To be honest, he felt a little disappointed. Disney gave him so much hope with witches. 
"You seem troubled, young man. What's your name?" asked the curly-haired woman in her forties. She was wearing something that resembeled a poncho. It looked heavy and uncomfortable. "Take a seat."
Wuming sat on the almost flat pillow and his eyes roamed around the place. There were certificates on the wall and pictures with customers. The woman poured her tea. 
"I can sense some dark energy around you, boy."
"What is it that you actually do?" he asked her.
"I talk to people," she said. "Then I give them advice."
"Are you like a lifecoach of some sort?"
The woman laughed, her wrinkled face wrinkling even more. "I don't cheer people up. I only tell people the truth that they are too afraid to tell themselves."
"Okay, like what?"
The woman shrugged. "In most cases, people are too afraid to let go. That's the root of their problems and of their sadness. When their mental health is out of the window, other aspects of their health follows. They notice sudden eating disorders, constant migraines, body pain, stomachache…" she took a sip from her chipped ceramic cup. "Why are you here? Something about your work?"
Wuming shook his head. "That's it? I just have to talk to you? There are no contracts or a sign-up sheet?"
The woman shook her head. "I'm here as a friend. A friend that will listen to you. And a friend that you will pay to listen." She winked. "Are you going to get started, or am I going to ask you why you're here?"
Wuming took his tea. "I am here to kill you."
"Kill me?" the woman laughed. "Kids nowadays… I can't keep up with you guys."
"I am not joking. My client's wife came to you for advice for their marriage and you told her to divorce him." He drank his tea. "He wasn't happy."
The woman blinked at him. "You mean Mrs—" her hands clamped on her mouth. "She really divorced her husband?!"
Wuming poured himself another cup. "Well, I don't really know all the details, why don't you tell me? Was he unfaithful?"
The woman's shoulders sagged. "No. In fact he was a really good husband. The problem was, he was too great at being a husband."
"What?"
"Mrs. Li wanted to be set free. She wanted to do a lot of things in her life and her husband was preventing her from doing the things she loved. She felt like she being confined. Caged."
"And then?"
"I told her that she should choose herself and go where her heart feels at peace."

Wuming pulled out a dagger. "I'll take the easy way."
The woman stared at Wuming while she drank and he smiled. People had always wanted to appear strong in their last moments—where was that energy all their lives?
"You should've seen this coming," he told her. "How many lives could you have possibly destroyed just because you're voicing your opinions."
"I do what I can to earn money."
Wuming looked at the clock. "How does a person move on?"
The woman scoffed. "I thought I was a fraud."
He shrugged. "Tell me what I want to hear."
The woman shook her head. "I will tell you the truth. You're going to drown yourself in your vices. You will never get over that person. Ever."
"That's just what I wanted to hear," he grinned.
The woman's eyes rolled and she dropped dead. The tablet only gave her a minute of life. He found that it was easier when people does not really know the exact time.
Wuming poured himself another glass. "It's the two-week mark today," he told the dead lady sprawled on the floor. "It's the end of the line."
He drank the liquid and pocketed the cup. "On to the next."

As he returns to the magical world from this one year of absence due to his required presence in the Non-Magical world in which he had been only returning for eating and exercise. He was astonished to see a lot of people looking absolutely stunning, like beauty models roaming the streets doing daily chores. It was absolutely amazing and stunning to watch. Even Tom the barkeeper looked, fitter.

He saw many of the recognized faces among the of witches who looked previously lot motherly with their full figures were now looking stunningly hot. The hygiene products looked like they have done their jobs many of the witches and wizards were looking a lot cleaner.

The hairstyle mirror also looked like it had been used by different people had more stylish appearances. They average witch and wizards were also looking less stress-prone. When thinking about why that would be he could only get one reason somehow the exercise has caused them to lose a lot of tension. Then he made the connection it was not the exercise per se but the joint effect of exercise and massage.

In the muggle world, this was a spa treatment. He found this funny. He saw that many of the shops were refurbished and expanded. He also noticed that these shops were all proper building and were not as he termed it wizardly wonky.

Even Gringotts Wonky Pillars have seemed to have been straightened up. He also noticed that many of the people were only using their debit cards and there weren't many who were exchanging gold coins.

He was also seeing men with pens in their pockets, some were luxuriously made with wood and etched with the family crests, others were just simply having normal pens. He also noticed that people were carrying notebooks. He knew this would not have been possible by using parchment and you cant carry parchment with you everywhere you go.

He then noticed flourish and botts and that unlike before, the books in the store looked all were made with paper. He even saw that the books he wrote were the bestseller. He saw that his changes were being fastly accepted, initially he had thought that he would have to wait at least two years before introducing computers but the new developments made him question otherwise. He had also had planned to research the cure for lycanthropy.

After thinking for a bit he decided that he would do it. First, he started with the lycanthropy cure within 2 months he found the cure he also got an idea for making potions not so disgusting tasting was to change the tastebuds feeling for the potion so he created a candy for that, then he went home and started working on commercial designs for computers. Unlike the non-magical world, there were no technology constraints in the wizarding world. Thus he made a Full-powered desktop version, A portable carrying laptop version, A tablet version and also an improved smart mirrors.

He also developed the magical internet on a magical wavelength so the internet itself was unhackable, but the devices not so much. But Harold had developed the OS so it worked like a charm was very hard to hack. He made a slightly modified OS version for the tablet and Smart Mirrors. Then he got them registered at the ICW under Dragon corporation for the computers and the lycanthropy cure under Panacea Corp.

After that, he started selling them. The next week there were many newspaper articles on it,

Thus he started passing time by visiting the Evans ancestral Home, The orphanage and the school. Each of these places was built by his architecture firms and warded by goblins but he wanted to re-ward them using his personal template which combined computer systems into wards.

As he was visiting he thought that he had not seen the fully built Weasley home. For the Weasley home, since he knew they had a huge amount of land not getting used, he made the house also huge enough for fitting 20 members at a time. All the land owned by Arthur was just enough for the house and Gardens but not for the small farm Harry wanted to build for the house so he brought the pond and swamp beside the House and joined it with the property as a freebie.

Next, the house itself was beautiful with three Levels, a beautiful front porch and fountain, The bottom level contained the living room, The Kitchen, and the Dining Hall and the theatre room and the elf quarters.

The second floor had the Library, one of the walls even had the family tree, a game room, and the Master bedroom and some bedrooms. The third floor was completely filled with bedrooms and their attached bathrooms.

The Back of the house had a garden and an orchard for lazing around. Next to the house was the quidditch pitch and next to it the farm which was near the house where all the food ingredients for the house were to be raised. He even made a Garage separate from the Barn.

He gifted the family 7 house elves. For the maintenance of the house and farm. He also gifted them 10 years worth of detergents and 50 years worth of maintenance agents for the house.

Also since the house was planned to be built in the start of the summer holidays and he knew Arthurs love of Non-Magic folks and Molly's ridicule of everything non-magical, So He hired a first-generation witch to take the Weasley family to tour the non-magical world to improve their understanding of the non-magical world and also show them the reality of the magical world.
