She rejected the idea proposed by the audience of modern winter wear, and instead adopted a design that Feng Jin and the rest could accept. Only a wide sleeve was modified into a narrow one, the lapel was somewhat altered, and the long pants leaned toward peasant clothing design.
In general, it did not exceed everyone's acceptable boundaries, only the raw material is substituted by knitting wool.

Liyun understood Feng Jin's idea, and a hint of joy played across his face. 
They could rear sheep with longer fur. Cutting the sheep's fur, processing yarn from the wool, and knitting sweaters would reduce wasted time in the process significantly. It would be much better than using cloth.

" Khaleesi." A voice called softly from behind the curtains of my balcony. My eyes trailed up from the book I was working on, the doors slid open and in waltzed Peter his eyes a hazel like gold. Eyeing me as he came closer, watching me as I studied him. Every twitch of a muscle,movement or tilt followed by his eyes as if I was the most interesting subject in the room. 
"..... You're the Alpha side of Peter?" I ask. He gave a short nod,still moving.
"Alpha Hale." He answers his voice carrying a slight accent,I furrowed my brows, who gave the Alpha a dang accent?
"What was it that you wanted to see me about again?" Silence as he stood still a centimetre away from me.
" .....The date." He states simply. Now this is awkward.
"Well Stiles and I won,mostly cause Stiles helped me control my strength so now I've got a pickup to.....erm pick up tomorrow. But it was mostly fun.....why?" I ask as I began to fiddle with the straps of the books. The Alpha hasn't blinked yet,it's kinda creepy.  
"There is no reason for my question." He says. 
"Alright,so why did you not let Peter ask this question?" I ask trying to keep the conversation going.
"Because that wasn't my only question. Will you allow us....." He paused and shifted his weight from one foot to the other hesitation clear in his eyes. " will you go somewhere with us?" He rephrased.
"On one condition." I say as I brightened up.
"What is your condition?" He drawled watching as my fingers twirled around the straps knitting a pattern.
"Become good." I say,his head snapped up eyes narrowed in confusion.
" I was born bad,how can I change something that has always been that way?" He asks.
"No one is born bad,it's a decision we make whilst growing up. You chose this so you can fix it." I answer.
"That doesn't make sense. I was the cause of Peter's mother death." He pointed out.
"No you weren't. Did she die while you and Petey were on your way in to the world?" I ask curiously. He gave a reluctant nod.
"Then she had died of natural causes. You are not responsible for something you have no control over. But you have a choice now, either be good and live happily or be bad and loose everything. It's all up to you. Whichever path you choose is yours to take,no one can make that decision for you." I say as I gave him a soft smile. Alpha Hale sat down next to me, deliberating.
" You don't need to decide now. You can relax if you want,I can wait." I say and smiled even wider. He looked down at me a curious gleam in his golden green eyes.
" Why are you.....so nice?" 
"Oh,pfft,I'm not. Okay maybe I am a little bit nice but that's mostly to the people who I deem worth it,worth being nice for. You and Peter,Orella, Stiles,Scott,Alison,Lidia, Derek, my parents, the maids,butler's heck even Jackson,well I'm not really so nice to him but that's his fault."  I say. 
He frowned his eyebrows knitted together.
"Why Derek? He is but an idiot with no patience." 
" Because he's human. He makes mistakes, so do you and so do I. It's just the way he reacts to his mistakes is what's making him so impatient. He blames himself for things he hasn't done,just like you. Just like any sane person,we all blame ourselves for things that are out of our control." I say.
"You are much wiser than your age suggests." Grumbled Peter. Well obviously I am older than you and know more about life than you do,not like I'd tell you though. 
" Mhmm, probably because of the amount of books and stories I know of." I hummed and watched as he turned to face me fully, I realised once he did that he was shirtless. Firey scars lined in patterns down to his waist line and up to his hair line. Glancing up I saw that he was smirking with a raised eyebrow. Crap,I stared. 
"How do I become good?" He asks.
"Simple.Stop killing those who don't deserve it, stop trying to force people to follow you, stop trying to force yourself to do things that you obviously don't like." I was referring to him staying in the hospital and the way he avoided speaking to anyone except myself. 
".....I'll try. Good night." Alpha Hale got up wanting to leave.
"You know you can stay,I won't bite." I say jokingly grinning from ear to ear. He rolled his eyes.
"I'm not afraid of you,Khaleesi." 
"I hope not. Because I ain't afraid of you." I say.
"Then I'll stay." He says.
"Alright." I grin and leaned against him as I dragged my attention back to my drawings.

"What? You want to ditch me out again?" said Shin while knitting his brows. He had been asked to run away once again. And the feeling that he get was not that good at all.
"Listen here, brother. This upcoming battle is going to involve some powers that you can't contend. Event us is not sure if we can get out of this alive so it is better if make some assurance, especially since we can't protect you this time," said Lawless as he tried to reason out Shin.
And before Shin managed to raise anymore complain, Miracle Dragon already opened his mouth. "I respect you wit and planning ability, but in this fight, strength is all what we need. We are about to fight some players that are standing at the peak of the gaming world."
"What's more, our enemies outnumbered us too much, so we can't spare some more manpower to protect you. And if we need to put some effort just to protect you, then it is just going to burden us even further and it might cause the failure of this quest."
"You are smart, so I'm sure that you can clearly understand the gravity of this situation. Sometimes, you need to take a step back to win a battle. And even if lose this battle, at least, we can still win this war by keeping you alive."
At this point, Shin tried to say something. "Then how can you guys teleport out of the battlefield if I'm not with you."
This time, Monroe was the one that replied at Shin. "About that plan, we decided to abandon it. As you can remember, those guys from the HeadHunter and Hydra Guilds have already prepared something to prevent your Elemental Companion from using his Teleportation ability. What's more, we are still unsure about the external factors that might happen during the fight so it is better to forget about that plan than to gamble our safeties to some risky plan."
Shin is still knitting his brows under the mask after hearing that, but he can't do anything about it for now. And he can't rebut what they have said since it is true that he is too weak for now, so he doesn't have any other choice but to accept it.
He released a helpless sigh and just nodded his head before asking. "So when are you heading out?"
Miracle Dragon smirked at him and said. "Now, of course! Since they are the ones that always making the opening move, then I guess it is time for us to take the initiative, but it should be in the form of some guerrilla-tactics. They outnumbered us too much after all."
"But we still need to be careful. Cruelty and Soulless, Helena didn't make their appearance yet. Those guys are not easy to deal with. As for the three Heads of Hydra Guild, you can leave them to the three of us."
Then Lawless said after. "Then you can leave Cruelty and Soulless to me and Faker."
"I will take care of Helena then," chimed Charlotte in.
"But that still leaves the other side with 9 more Godlike Players and some powerful Titled Rankers, and what about the army of Rankers? You guys are still not enough. Are you sure that you can handle them?" said Shin.
Lawless just laughed at what Shin had said. "Don't worry, even if we are outnumbered, our combined strengths are still not to be trifled with, either. And Amber and Ravier are already on their way here. Their strengths are as strong as mine or Faker's if they fight together. Morgan, Hayden and Stephanie, on the other hand, can hold off a Godlike Player if they team up."
"As for the remaining 7 more Godlike Players, some Titled Rankers, and army of Rankers, our reinforcements are more than enough to handle those guys. What's more, these friends of ours from the Dragon Pavilion are going to send some Titled Rankers and group of Rankers form their ranks."
This time, Shin further knitted his brows and said. "I'm really curious about these so-called reinforcements of yours. I wonder who they are. Most of the Powerhouses on the Holy City are on other side."
"Almost but not all," said Lawless suddenly.
Shin was still knitting his brows after hearing that as he was still confused. Then he suddenly remembered the two Powerhouses that were stationed at his Calderock Town. "AH! You mean!?-...."
But before Shin managed to say something more, Lawless was already urging him to move. "Alright, Alright, whatever it is, you need to go to the fourth place. We can handle the things on this side. All you have to do is hide yourself properly while waiting for this quest to end. If you ever get bored, just watch out upcoming battle at the video that I'm going to send to you."
Shin sighed and summoned Hanzo, and asked the Old Spirit to create a Teleportation Gate for him. And when he was about to take a step on it two words popped up inside his head. 'Quest? External factors? That is right!'
Now, Shin finally got where the uneasy feeling was coming from. This special event was their quest from the start and some kind of event. As for the external factors? That was already a given from the very beginning.
"F*ck! Wait!" Shin wanted to say something more, unfortunately for him, Lawless had already pushed him towards the Teleportation Gate, sending him on the other side of it. And when Shin entered the gate, Hanzo immediately followed after him before closing it.
And when Lawless saw that, he nodded his with satisfied expression on his face before turning his head to the others and said. "Alright, shall we proceed to the main part of this hunting game?" and started walking toward a certain direction.
The others nodded their heads and followed after him.

There are some hooded figures that kept hopping from a tree branch to another. The cloaks that they were wearing were pitch-black with some golden feathers embroidered on its surface. And after some time, the group landed on an area with dense brushes before checking the surroundings.
"All clear!" said by one of the hooded figures. Then the others also started reporting one by one.
And when everyone was done reporting on of the group suddenly said to a tree not far from him. No, to be exact, he was talking to someone behind the tree. "Are you sure that we are going to do this, Young Miss? If the Union Head got a wind of this, then we are going to be in the disadvantage on the next annual meeting."
"So what? I don't like that guy from the very start. I'm just respecting him because that is what my big brother wants. But if he pushes me to my limits then I will leave the Guild no matter what they say," replied by the person behind the tree who was addressed as Young Miss.
The man that talked to her immediately reacted when he heard that. "No! You can't, Young Miss. If you do that, the family head will-…." 
But before that guy managed to complete what he say, the girl behind the tree immediately said. "I don't care. That man didn't care about me and my big brother. He treats us as his political toys for reconciliation for the other families, so don't expect us to respect him. The young miss-girl turned silent for a moment before asking. "So what is the development?"

The HeadHunter Guild, Golden Dawn and Credit Republic are moving in one group, with Cruelty, Soulless and Helena hiding in the ranks of the Titled Rankers. And from their movements, it looks like those guys are already aware of the position of the other group. What's more, those guys are planning to face the other side head-on."
"The people from the Hydra Guild and Blood Carnival, on the other hand, are going to circle around the group to do a pincer-attack for the latter. It looks like they are going to close the path of retreat of the other side."
The young miss-girl feel on the deep thought for a moment before saying. "Then Dragon Pavilion will surely wait for the Hydra Guild to appear before making their move. With that, bi-.… I mean, the former Commander and Vice-Commander of the 'Dark Hero' Adventurer Team will face the allied forces first. So it is optimal for us to help them at the first clash, while living our backs with the three Talons of the Dragon Pavilion."

"If they are on the same level as the Dynamic Couple and other Peak-Titled Rankers then facing them are really troublesome. And speaking of which, I received a report that the 'Winter Demon' and 'Flame Witch' were sighted sneaking in the Shunkai Forest. It looks like they are going to help," said by the subordinate guy.

"Young Miss, the Assassin Union sent a message. They said that they are following our lead," said by a hooded girl to Shiella, who was also known as 'Snow White'.
Snow White nodded her head and said. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's get going now. It has been a while since we have this kind of action. So you guys better not to lose face for me alright? If you get beaten up badly, then don't announce that you are from my firm."
"Yes, Young Miss!" but the only one that replied at her was the hooded girl that kept reporting to her. The others, on the other hand are still doing their things.
The man with a huge hammer lifted it up and rested it on his shoulder. After that he turned his head at the squatting guy beside him and said. "Hey, are you still not done with it? We are about set out."
The guy squatting beside was currently fixing a mechanical item that looked like briefcase. After that he close his briefcase-like mechanical item before picking it up on the handle before standing up and said. "OK, I'm ready. Hehe… I now have a time to test this new creation of mine, the 'Mechanical Pandora's Box'."
The last hooded figure, on the other hand, was busy playing with her fingers while creating different kind of patterns and shape white the treads tied on her fingers. From the looked of it, she didn't pay much attention on what's happening on her surroundings.
There seemed to be some veins that popped on Snow White's forehead when she saw the actions of the three. Then she shouted at them after. "What the hell are you guys doing? At least replied at me, or at least respect me, your GUILD LEADER!!!"

His fever abated after the third night and finally, they could breath a sigh of relief, but they still hovered close as he slowly recovered. 

Ren Zexian's inner fire kept his body from noticing the bitterness, thus he was not so uncomfortable in this period of time.  And each night, his beloved would take advantage of this, draping his cold limbs over Ren Zexian's body and enjoying the warmth he found.  Nathan had become closer to Ren Zexian since his confession, usually unwilling to part from his side at anytime, but apart from this, their relationship was not much different that from before.  Holding the sleeping youth close to him within their bed was both a joy and a trial as he enjoyed the freedom of embrace, but with that last barrier still between them.  The connecting of their bodies in that most primitive and yet spiritual of ways.  At least, there was no mention of Nathan moving out of his room and back to the cottage in the Spring, thus Ren Zexian held hope.

And of course, when he had first kissed those tender lips, there had been no rejection, just innocent curiosity.  Their kisses had increased in frequency, although had remained somewhat in the realm of chasteness.  Still, He could wait.  Ren Zexian had lived for ten millennia, he knew patience.

The bitter cold period lasted close to two weeks, wearing away at their bodies as they exhausted themselves in attempts to keep warm and to sleep through the icy nights.  After that, the temperatures slowly rose to above freezing, remaining chilly, but no longer so unbearable.  Nathan's care allowed for the recovery of some of the plants within the property and greenhouse and the snow and treacherous ice covering the ground finally began to melt.

It was now March, a time when the ground needed to be broken into and prepared for planting, in which Nathan needed to begin sprouting numerous seeds to be planted after the last of the frosts and in which they looked in despair at the sparseness of their rapidly dwindling food supplies.  All of the dried pasta and other grains had been eaten, there was no dried fruit or pulses either.  The tins and jarred produce was finished.  The root vegetables were no more, with the exception of powdered sweet potato and a couple of jars of pickles.  Pickles were all that remained of last year's harvest and two jars of jam.  Otherwise, what they mostly had on hand was flour, thanks to that last raid in the early Fall of the previous year.  It was lucky that Autumn could make noodles and bread with the flour and Nathan could still harvest some leafy greens and new potatoes from the greenhouse, otherwise, their bellies would be well and truly suffering.  However, meals, for a while would be either repetitive or bland until new harvests could be made.

Fortunately, the mushrooms from the five kits were beginning to flourish, having not done much in the coldest months and these would soon supplement their meals.

Almost everyone leant a hand, breaking ground, removing weeds and fertilising the new 
patches for the vegetables.  The space to grow vegetables almost tripled in size for it had become obvious that they would not easily last another winter on what Nathan's garden produced the previous year.  Not that that was the youth's fault, just that the numbers the garden needed to support had grown and there would be little or no food to supplement it from tins or imports next time around.  

The greenhouse shelves were covered in seedlings, some that would be planted outside in the following month, some that would be retained in the greenhouse.  With the help of Nan Li Liang, there was also a miniature paddy field formed to the rear of the greenhouse, but it would still be a while until this received its inhabitants.

As for the wheat grain, they decided to split the seeds into two halves, planting some in a newly formed small field in the back of Nathan's garden and the rest in the front garden of one of the other mansions; the furbished one.  Here, also, a small field for corn was cleared and another for potatoes.  Although the last one could not be put to use for now, they planned to cycle the quickly growing crop into this space during the summer, when they had seed spare.

For this whole early period, every man, woman and child were kept busy with the digging, planting and wall repairs and other things.  

Lucy resumed her duties with her small watering can, riding on the back of Aslan as they 'leapt' from one sunroom to the other, to the greenhouse and back again in quick time, so they could spend more time playing.

Shaun, who created a pair of metal shears after a few experiments, helped clip the three sheep from his wheelchair as Paul tried to hold them down.  He laughed a lot as Paul was thrown off or blasted with a brief, but strong gust of air to slide across the mud and grass.  The result was the sheep looked patchy, like badly groomed ugly poodles.

Nan Li Liang recalled learning about ancient methods of spinning sheep's wool from history in primary school.  So they washed the smelly wool and made some attempts, the resulting thread was lumpy at first and the scarf that he and Patrick knitted together was ugly.  It turned out that Patrick had learned such skills as knitting and sewing at his grandmother's knees, but his parents had dissuaded him from entering college to study home economics and clothing design, considering it as unstable.  So his skills had been reduced to a pass time, without the time over the last few years.

Meanwhile, the teenager proved to have an incalculable gift as well, though not one linked to the world of cultivation; he had an eidetic memory.  If he had read something or watched something in the past, he could recall it.  This was not perfect recall, for insignificant, unnecessary details escaped him, but all the important points would remain.  Such as once when bored in a shop where his mother was looking at tablecloths, he read through a bunch of knitting patterns.  He couldn't understand them, but he could write them down perfectly for others who could.

However, there was one, who was less able than others for she was nearing the end of her own most important task, but was not one to sit back quietly and appreciate.  Brooke felt fat and ungainly, her pale flesh was marked with lines as her skin had been forced to stretch around her sheltering midriff.  The unborn child was boisterous, kicking her from the inside and performing flips at a whim.  Her back ached, her ankles were swollen and she craved meat and sweets.  There was never a day of late, where she did not complain about the food or therefore lack of and she eyed the sheep with abandon, but was unable to fulfil her desire.

In the opinion of others, his immediate subordinates especially, Jonah suffered along with her.  He rubbed her ankles and massaged her back on a daily basis.  He gave her some of his own meal to supplement her own, which she devoured despite the fact it was bland or lacked salt.  He never complained as she cursed him for his part in her transformed form nor when she wept her apologies and promised not to swear at him again.  

And it was at the beginning of April, when the men and Monika dug holes according to Nathan's strict instructions ready for the seedlings and sprouted corn, when a scream ripped through the mansion, sending Nathan running back to his small cottage and locking his doors, while the others rushed to the main property.  Autumn had shooed them all away, taking control like a mother hen, although she was not as calm as she appeared.  She had been a university student learning to be a chef, what did she know about midwifery?

With Nan Li Liang's curious memory, hot water was summoned and Monika brought fresh towels into the room.  Jonah spoke softly to his young girlfriend as she screamed and complained about the pain and to 'get it out of her, quick!'  

"Do you know what you are doing?" Monika whispered as Autumn tugged off Brooke's leggings and underwear.

"Not a clue," Autumn whispered back.  She had listened to Nan Li Liang repeat something's regarding the television program his mother used to like to watch about midwives in the fifties, but that was a fictional series at the end of the day.  What it contained about the reality of childbirth was still somewhat limited.  Autumn could only spread her cousin's legs beneath the dignity of a blanket and pray that she'd figure out what to do.

Perhaps the heavens were listening to her, Brooke's waters broke without any need for intervention and the little one was positioned head first, ready to descend.  Actually, encouraging Brooke to push through the contractions was likely the hardest thing that they had to do as she complained that it hurt too much and that she was too tired.  But soon, Autumn caught sight of the baby as it crowned and she carefully positioned her hands to guide it out.  And with one final push, an adorable baby boy was brought into the world, crying with more gusto than his mother.

Jonah took the bundled child from Autumn's arms, his face one of sheer delight as he looked at his newborn son.  "I'm so proud of you," he murmured to the exhausted Brooke, who said nothing as Autumn cleaned her limp body with a hot towel.

Later these words were repeated, but it was not Jonah that whispered them, nor Brooke that received them.

Ren Zexian had lived 10,000 years, had experienced many things, had lived through many things.  That included the death of his own realm.  But what he never expected to experience was a zombie apocalypse.
