Yu Lili unconsciously bent her lips and nodded when she heard it, and she said, "Yes, it works well."
Ye Qianqian glanced at the display while Yu Lili was still drawing the frame lines. There were only a few rough lines on the screen. Ye Qianqian glanced at it and said, "Are you also drawing comics? Which website did you sign up for?"
"It's also under the Ou Group," Yu Lili answered without looking up, and she quickly drew the lines.

As Ye Qianqian was flipping through the pictures, she saw a few that had already been drawn and painted, and they were very intense.
Ye Qianqian was shocked when she saw the character. She pulled it up again, and she saw that five or six pictures of the comic had already been drawn.

"Holy crap!" Ye Qianqian shouted in disbelief. "Is this... Love Transaction? Holy sh*t, who are you? Are you Li Xiaoyu?"

I'm your host, Donniedrako15, your wonderful guide as I introduce to you a little jaunt through all the amazing content of Line Webtoon. And for those of you that are asking what the hell Webtoon is WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE.  Though in all seriousness for the crowd of you that don't know what your new obsession is going to be, Webtoon is a style of digital comics from South Korea. Line Webtoon or Naver is a website/app that is the home of many creators and artists to make webcomics for the public to enjoy.  You can also subscribe, comment, like, and patron to all these little stories for free no less. The site was made by Junkoo Kim, who was inspired by the manwha crash of the late 1990s and 2000s wanted to make an app to help others find their own stories no matter where they are. Look, in general, think of it as Wattpad but better because we have not everyone can use it, which means no Dr. Phil fanfic to keep me up at night questioning my existence and wondering why I don't burn my eyes out.


    Primarily Webtoon is home to the English translation of many manhwas and creators from all across the world. A manhwa is a  South Korean comic, and Webtoon is home to many of them.  Tower of God, lookism, odd girl out, noblesse, the god of high school, and many others are great examples, so you get your impressive dose of diversity with every update. There is also a manhua, which is Chinese comics. 


Line Webtoon also a has fast pass system where you can jump ahead in the story extremely fast by buying unique coins. However, the story will still update just as soon, as usual, so don't worry the only downside is a couple of weeks hiatus for those switching over. There is a daily pass with which effectively makes almost all of the chapters for each story being priced and is giving only two free passes to read a chapter for 15 days before it being needed to read again with a couple of contests along the way. 


Webtoon has gotten exponentially more popular in its five-year global run. Recently they have recorded up to 100 billion reads annually. Many creators on the site have shown up on the official Youtube channel with some popular series, even getting complete animated shorts like Let's play and My giant Nerd Boyfriend. Popular manwha's like Tower of God, Noblesse, and Lookism have gotten so popular that they either have confirmed or ongoing series to them already with more to come.


    And pretty much after that, it becomes pretty much like Wattpad with all the kinks and cranks that make it up. I will not post as much on this channel, but I always appreciate any comments. But for now, I will leave you all adieu as next time I'll tackle one of the many webtoons that I read and enjoy without spoilers, of course 😊👌.

Jason estava sentado em uma poltrona na sala de estar e começou a conversar com sua mãe e sua irmã, as indústrias Todd  estavam indo bem embora a taxa de venda dos carros havia diminuído um pouco  e a DC Comics estava melhor do que nunca,  os quadrinhos estavam vendendo como água,  todos os heróis principais da Liga da Justiça já haviam sido lançado, agora ela só estava esperando o momento certo para lançar o quadrinho da Liga da Justiça Jason começou a ouvir todos os avanços que a editora DC Comics estava tendo, jeson ficou espantado com sua irmã, Mesmo ela sendo uma reencarnada uma pessoa ter visão de negócio é realmente difícil.
"irmão eu tive uma ideia mas eu sozinha não consigo fazer pois não sou tão inteligente quanto você embora minha inteligência esteja Acima da Média ainda tenho certas dificuldades em algumas coisas " Jason olhou para a garota a sua frente "Qual a ideia que você teve que você precisa da minha ajuda " como estamos em 1945 e o conceito De periféricos ainda não surgiu,  então estava pensando se você pudesse me ajudar a criar alguma coisa que possa fazer bonecos camisetas copos roupas travesseiros tênis brinquedos tudo relacionado aos super-heróis, eles iriam vender bem já que esse conceito neste ano é um pouco vago"
quando o Jason ouviu seus olhos se abriram ele disse "Isso é uma grande ideia o conceito de periféricos realmente não era bem explorado nesse ano" enquanto eles estavam conversando seu pai havia chegado quando Ele olhou para Jason ele correu  e deu um abraço forte no filho, depois de um tempo todos estavam conversando na sala de estar, Jason começou a contar tudo o que ele fez na guerra, seu pai e sua mãe estavam muito preocupados enquanto Sua irmã já sabia de seus poderes de regeneração então ela não ligou muito.
 depois da conversa todos voltaram aos seus afazeres Jason foi até seu quarto e começou a desenhar um novo modelo de carro para ser lançado O novo carro seria o monza spider scaglietti, diferente do original ele teria três cores diferente azul/ vermelho/ e preto ele seria um pouco maior  em vez de um lugar ele teria dois lugares, Este seria o novo carro esportivo que as indústrias Toddy fabricaria,  Jason queria que a indústria abrange outras áreas, Mas o que ele queria a tecnologia de hoje em dia não o permitiria,  então jason teve que pensar bem em qual outras áreas ele entraria.
Dois dias depois ele foi ao quarto de sua irmã e começaram a conversar ele disse Já havia roubado várias tecnologias da Hidra, iria começar a  construir um bunker, para começar a estudar a tecnologia que havia roubado,  ele também disse que roubou várias caixas com cópias do cubo de rubik, ele queria testar o com poderosa era a energia dentro daqueles cubos,  se ele tivesse sorte ele substituiria o reator arc pelos cubos,Sua irmã ficou de boca aberta com o que ele havia feito,  ela nunca imaginou que seu irmão iria voltar da guerra com vários presentes, ela também queria dar uma olhada nessa tecnologia e ver o que ela conseguia aprender.
Algum tempo depois com muito esforço dor de cabeça e muitos  palavrões Ele finalmente conseguiu construir as máquinas que sua irmã queria, embora sua irmã também estivesse o ajudando não foi tão rápido quanto ele imaginava ele teve que modificar várias Peças das Máquinas, e teve que criar vários moldes diferentes,  infelizmente ele não conseguiu criar uma máquina de pintura então a pintura deveria ser a mão , mas as máquinas de estampa estavam prontas ,ele teve muita dor de cabeça para conseguir estampar um desenho em xícaras e copos ele testou vários tipos de tinta até que ele teve a ideia de misturar algumas tintas e finalmente deu certo.
O que ele teve mais dor de cabeça foi a máquina action figure Ele teve que criar os moldes totalmente a mão e a borracha deveria ter uma certa temperatura, a dor de cabeça Foi criar um termômetro adequado que pudesse ver a temperatura da Borracha antes de jogar lá no molde, Ele teve que criar um termômetro digital, mas para criar esse termômetro digital ele teve que recriar toda a tecnologia em volta do termômetro,  é isso que Jason mais odiava nesta época a tecnologia que ele precisava não existia e para ele criar a tecnologia que ele precisa ele Teria que criar outra tecnologia e isso era uma dor de cabeça.
Mas depois de muito tempo tudo estava pronto,  todos os materiais que seriam usado na fabricação dos bonecos camisetas dos copos e tudo relacionado aos super-heróis  seriam reciclados a borracha viria de pneus e brinquedos velhos, viriam de garrafas e Vidros quebrados As indústrias Todd Seria a primeira indústria a investir em materiais recicláveis,  hein isso chamou a atenção de muitas pessoas algumas concordaram fervorosamente com a ideia das Indústrias Todd.
Isso deixou Jason bastante surpreso ele nunca imaginou que neste ano existissem ambientalistas,  Jason contratou várias pessoas Para trabalharem, na fábrica de brinquedo e acessórios  as indústrias Todd eram bem Vista pelo governo, eles estavam gerando vários empregos e isso ajudaria na economia,  e o salário que a empresa pagava aos seus funcionários eram bem maior do que outras empresas pagavam,  então o número de pessoas fazendo entrevistas para trabalhar na empresa era grande.
Agora finalmente Jason poderia criar seu bunker, jason contratou uma construtora e deu a planta e todos os detalhes  como seria,  Jason havia comprado uma área de terra em malibu a beira  mar,  o local era situado perto da onde seria a mansão do Homem de Ferro no futuro, Jason também deu a planta da mansão, explicou que embaixo da mansão ficaria o Bunker, A mansão seria extremamente luxuosa, o Engenheiro olhando, as plantas ele fez uma estimativa que tudo ficaria pronto de um ano e meio a dois anos,  mas eles iriam fazer de tudo para diminuir este tempo,  Jason assentiu e assinou o contrato com a empresa, Este contrato era o maior contrato que a empresa já havia assinado antes, eles estavam muito felizes com isso eles  iriam criar a mansão mais luxuosa que eles já haviam criado.

The four headed to one of the minor courtyards after Yang Jiahui finally calmed down. Long Tengfei awkwardly comforted her. He wasn't an affectionate person to begin with, so his movements looked stiff and unnatural as he patted his wife's back.

They followed the old chamberlain who led the way. A servant took Iris' presents from Long Tengfei and Yang Jiahui to be placed in their bedchamber.

Yang Mei walked beside Iris and started chattering. She asked Iris various questions but also talked about herself in an endless stream of words. Her energy reminded Iris a little of Dom. Perhaps that was why she immediately felt at ease with the young woman.

"Do I call you Xiulan or Iris?"

"Either is fine, Yang Mei."

"I told you to call me Meimei."

"Alright, Meimei."

"I'll call you Xiulan then! The public knows you as Iris, so it kinda feels exciting to be one of the few people who knows your real name." Meimei giggled. "By the way, I love your album! My favourite song is 'Phantom of Your Love'. So tragically romantic! Ah, my heart! I cry whenever I listen to it! Did you really compose all the songs in your album by yourself?"

"Yes, I did."

"You're so amazing! Can you sign my copy of your album?"

"Of course."

"Yay! To tell you the truth, I didn't buy it myself. Uncle Tengfei bought a lot of copies of your album. So I just stole―I mean, I took a copy for myself. He has so many so I don't think he'll mind if I take one. Don't forget to write my name when you sign it, okay? Write 'Meimei'."

"Sure."

Meimei continued to blabber on as they neared the small courtyard. Iris learned that Meimei was a few months older than her. Iris was 20, while Meimei was 21. Meimei was currently attending university studying Digital Media Arts and Design. Iris' interest was piqued so she asked questions about the digital arts program.

"Uncle Tengfei told me that if I want I can work at Long Industries after I graduate but the truth is that I really want to become a digital manhuajia [1]," Yang Mei whispered to her, dramatically glancing at Long Tengfei and Yang Jiahui who were walking ahead of them, making sure that they wouldn't hear her.

Iris couldn't help but smile at her antics. Indeed, Meimei reminded her of Dom. "Meimei, if you want to become a digital manhuajia, then become one."

Meimei pouted. "I really want to but becoming one is basically gambling, you know. Success is not guaranteed and I might become one of those stereotypical starving artists who can't even make ends meet. At least, if I work at Uncle Tengfei's company, I know I'll have regular salary and great benefits. Besides, Uncle and Auntie have already been so kind to me, inviting me to live with them when I became alone and even paying for my education. I feel like I'll be returning their generosity with unkindness if I throw away my education to become a manhuajia instead."

"Hmm…Then I'm also basically gambling. As a musician, a celebrity, I have no insurance whether my music or work will sell or not. I observed that fame is a fickle thing. Hard work doesn't always equals success, especially in the world of us artists. But you can't be successful without hard work. One day, you're the object of everyone's adoration but the next day, you might be the object of everyone's scorn until you're forgotten and your career is over. Knowing this, I still pursue this career because I love it. Success is nice and what we all aim for, but what drives me is the freedom to pursue my passion. I know that there are many people who disapprove of my career, but this is my life, not theirs. I don't want to live a life of regrets." 

'Not again', Iris thought to herself. In this life, she would do her best to live without regrets.

"Wow, Xiulan. That's deep." Meimei pondered over Iris' words. "Don't want to live a life of regrets, huh?"

"But of course, the final decision will be yours to make. It's your life after all."

Meimei nodded. "Right."

They finally arrived at the small courtyard. Meimei revealed that the garden was personally cultivated by her aunt. Compared to the sophisticated gardens comprising the main inner courtyard, this garden indeed looked more like a normal, personal garden. There were more colourful flowers than trees and shrubs. There were even some vegetables being grown. Everything looked a little disorganized, yet there was an unmistakable homely feeling here which the other areas in the compound lacked.

The old chamberlain led them to a traditional pavilion within the courtyard. There was a table and chairs big enough to accommodate them. A servant was already waiting to serve them hot tea and pastries.

The four sat down and chatted as they ate. Long Tengfei was very pleased that his daughter didn't make any trouble with his wife. In fact, the interaction between the four of them was light and friendly. Although he and his wife still felt a little awkward when speaking to his daughter, they were becoming more comfortable as time passed by.

Long Tengfei and Yang Jiahui watched the two young women chatting like close friends. Yang Jiahui was delighted that Xiulan and her niece were getting along very well. She wished that they could treat each other like sisters. Then perhaps Xiulan would be more willing to visit the compound more often.

When the sun started setting, they stood up and headed inside for dinner. They continued chatting with each other as they seated themselves. 

Moments later, a man in his late twenties arrived and joined them. He was Long Hui, Iris' eldest half-brother. He was Long Tengfei's heir and eldest son born with his first wife.

Long Hui's cold and indifferent expression reminded Iris so much of Jin Liwei. They had the same innate arrogant aura found in most firstborn sons and heirs of prestigious families.

Iris and Meimei stood up from their seats to greet him.

Meimei: "Hello, Big Brother Hui."

Long Hui nodded at her. "Hello." Then he turned to look at Iris. He looked a lot like Long Tengfei, but his features were a little more delicate compared to his father's chiselled appearance.

"It's good to see you, Elder Brother," Iris greeted.

"So you finally return here, Little Sister. Didn't you say before that you're never ever setting foot here again?"

" lt's Dr.Zhou Mr. Saunders, right?" as she responded back to Neil.
" I prefer you still call me Neil instead of Mr. Saunders. That's too formal Stacey…" Neil answered.
" I thinks it is still working hours. Right Mr. Saunders?" Dr. Zhou replied while motioning a look at her watch then winked at Neil.
" Oh Yeah, I got you there Dr. Zhou. I mean… I just need to talk to you further about the Digital State Project and the Fast Data Project. Our colleagues here are very keen and excited on the next phase of the Major Classified Project." Neil answered back.
" Then let's talk business at the meeting Mr. Saunders…"
"… Oh and by the way, please make sure and do not forget to buy my favorite donut and coffee. It is your treat for me.! " Dr. Zhou said and added while having a smile on her face. 
" What??. Where will I?.. Yeah.. Yeah. Whatever… My treat Ok!" Neil said giving back a smile to Dr. Zhou.
" Good Mr. Saunders! " she answered back.

A series of meetings and talks from the Lead Research Team and the heads of each projects were being done.
Specifically, the focus were now on the technology being developed further for the Fast Data Project and the Digital State Project.
Another project, The Ultra Power Project, produced and enhanced the development of the Solar-Nuclear Batteries that was a patented product of the company Code T. Prior to the creation of the S T A S H Consortium, they aleady had originally developed this as an alternative power supply for the Lithium Ion Batteries that they were using on their products. Seeing the potential of it, Code T decided to give and share their knowledge and research studies between the member companies inside the Consortium about the creation of the Solar Nuclear Batteries to allow further advancements of it.
The use of the Solar Nuclear Batteries proved to be an integral part of the Fast Data Project's success on its tests. So by that time, the Consortium is fully aware of its future usage.

*" So we now all understood the full potential of all the projects and developments that we are doing." Neil said to his colleagues in their meeting.
" The next part is for us to integrate these technologies and make a more advanced technology out of them." He added.
" This will create the initial fulfillment of our Major Classified Project. "
" … and I said initial, because I can see that the advancements that we will be able to create is only the start of something greater that we are able to do in the future. That is for sure!" He added more.
"Talks and discussions had been made between each teams that lead the projects. I have here Dr. Zhou from the Digital State Project…"
"… and we have Engr. Evans from the Ultra Power Project." Neil said as he introduced them to the other individuals inside the meeting.
" I will have Engr. Evans first, since our sensible lady here wanted to be the last to talk, right?" as he introduced Engr. Evans and winking at Dr. Zhou. Grin on her face instead.
"They will further discuss all these integration that we will do for each projects" as he added.
It was Engineer Evans who first discussed all the information he could provide about Ultra Power Project and the Solar Nuclear Batteries.
" I believe it was fairly known to most us that the existence and development of nuclear batteries had been around for quite a while now." As Engr. Evans started his talk.
" Research and studies were made in Europe and Russia. Tests inside labs were made and gain success. An atomic battery, Tritium battery, radioisotope battery, nuclear battery… whatever we want to call it. The initial development of this piece of technology was surrounded with fear. This is because where talking about nuclear, nuclear reactors and radioactive isotope to generate electricity, to create power. We thanked these people that initiated the discovery of having an alternative yet more powerful and more long lasting type of a compact power source." He stated.
" We at the Ultra Power Project team had made further enhancements on this technology. We made sure that this compact power source, or batteries , will be safe by focusing on the development of its shells or the canisters where we put the parts, the chemicals  or I can say, the ingredients that makes up a Solar Nuclear Batteries." He added while presenting the prototype version of the Solar Nuclear Batteries that was used on the machines for the initial Fast Data Project that happened a few months back.
" And did I said Solar? The technology though is quite redundant The "solar" part of the batteries are the ones that recharge the radioactive isotopes, the nuclear reactors inside it. The best thing though is that we were able to include a supercharge function so that the solar power it was able to collect can be supercharged the nuclear stuff, hence, a longer and a more powerful battery. Tripling a power of a standard nuclear batteries discovered then and prolonging its lifespan." As Engr. Evans said and concluded.
Small claps were heard inside the meeting area.
" Good. Thanks Engr. Evans!..." Neil said.
" Then let us now have our sensible lady here. Let us  hear it from Stacey…Oh… I mean Dr. Zhou." Neil added as she introduced  Dr. Zhou.
" Well Mr. Saunders, thank you for doing that "sensible" intro to me, as always." Dr. Zhou said.
Small laughs were heard inside meeting area.
" So let us get straight to the point here. We, at the Digital State Project, were able to developed an amazing piece of technology. Making a piece of a tangible object be digitized and put in back to its original state, being a tangible object." As Dr. Zhou stated.
" The Digitizers, as we can simply call this equipment, were developed and designed to quickly change a matter from its current form to becoming a digital data and reversing the process by molding it back to its original form. So this is not just creating a three dimensional model of an object but transforming its molecular state into a digital data, which can then be carried or contained or compressed. Then, the machine reversing the process, will transform the digital data back to its original molecular state. The research hand outs have further details since we cannot discuss it in details all day long but just giving you a gist  on something that would tickle each techminds that's in us." She explained as she points some of the parts of the Digitizers being displayed in the meeting.
" In theory, these equipments should be able to "digitize" a solid,  a liquid and gas, being the state of a matter.  Though the tests that were done yet was only for a solid object. Liquid and gaseous matter will definitely be next and I believe it can be done."
These will pave the way for something we all are expecting and excited for. We will put next on the line a test for a living object. That will be something very cool right?" she concluded.
" Thank you Dr. Zhou. You can now finish with your coffee and donuts." Neil said to Dr. Zhou.
" No! I should say Thank You Mr. Saunders because it came from your purse not mine." As she rebutted. 
" Well…" Neil replied realizing the joke coming back to him.

" Everyone, my colleagues, Listen. " he said addressing back the whole group in the meeting.
" I understand that we are getting a lot of information at this point and I know that these are not making us too overwhelmed but instead let the ideas flow on our brains. A lot of ideas."
" There are a lot of things and stuffs that we can do with all these equipment that we have now."
" At this point I wanted  to be transparent to all of us here."
" Being the Head in charge of the Lead Research Team, I recently had some talks, discussions and presentations with our bosses. I'm referring to the CEOs. The Consortium was built to lead and pioneer the advancement of technology here on Earth. Yet in some sense to be profitable as well, since these are businesses that are united with a common goal. We are tasks not to stop thinking of different ways of improving these developments that we are able to do and apply its function on the different products, devices and equipments that each member companies produce, being a separate entity as a tech company." 
" But I also need to clarify that being profitable does not mean being greedy since our bosses does not even want to have that kind of mantra within the Consortium. I think it is an easy Math that funds are needed for all these project to continue since partnership with different government agencies does not bring a lot of funds to us."
" So lets make sure that no idea should be wasted and lets always continue improving our technogical stuff or equipment, I am referring to all these internal equipment we are using on our classified projects, and the technological equipment that we use to enhance each companies products and services. These are the ones that the common people are expecting from us to give and provide to them. State of the art technology that is at par with the current trends. Though that's outside but here inside, we should be more advance." He explained.
" For our Major Classified Project, I think it is also clear where we are heading and this is where the common people are not ready yet. So this one is for us pioneers."
" We are going to integrate the Fast Data Project and Ultra Power Project, with the Digital State Project."
" And I can sense that everyone in this meeting is brainy enough to understand what we wanted to do here. " Neil continuously explained.
" Time Travel" he said.
Mumbling was heard inside the meeting hall.
" So that is a No of course. "

" We wanted to achieve what scifi comics, books and movies have done, or rather imagined. "
" Teleportation. Teletransportation. Beaming . We are not actually in the business of naming it but making it a reality instead.
" So for the next few days, weeks, and months, everyone of us will work diligently to fully intergrate each pieces of technology coming from each projects mentioned."
" Using the technology of "digitizing" an object with a Digitizer from the Digital State Project and transmitting it from a certain location to another location using the technology we have on the Fast Data Project, of course, using the Solar Nuclear Batteries from the Ultra Power Project to boost further the speed of transmission."
" That is definitely exciting and promising. I know everyone cannot wait for that day." As Neil concluded.
Everyone inside the meeting hall felt the excitement and everyone's eagerness to make this milestone reached.
" Mr. Saunders? " Dr. Zhou called Neil. 
" You said we are not on the business of naming but I may need to ask for us to have a name of the project that we have now since around three different projects will be integrated here?" Dr. Zhou asked.
" Well I actually thought of it… "
" That is the Digital State and Nuclear Transmission…"
"… or Project: DiStaNT " as Neil concluded.

The Human Exploration of the Deep Space documented digitally by the Historian.

Neil Saunders, Dr. Stacey Zhou, the STASH Consortium and key individuals did their part on molding human's Galactic History that has been continuously written.

From the innovative beginnings of human's space journey to all the adventurous events that took place as the universe and galaxies were explored.


Zhang Zian quickly went downstairs and planned to visit Sun Xiaomeng's clinic to see what she was doing. He also wanted to refresh himself by taking a walk outside, now that his brain had been filled with endless English letters.
Passing the checkout counter, he casually said, "I'm going out. I'll be back in a minute."
When he spoke, he didn't look at Lu Yiyun because she was always immersed in painting when there weren't any customers in the store.
As he walked past the checkout counter, he suddenly felt a strange look come from behind him, and he stopped walking to look back at Lu Yiyun.
She was staring at his butt.
"Is there a stain on my trousers?" Zhang Zian patted his behind, wondering if the chair he had sat on up on the second floor was dirty and had stained his pants.
"No, no! Nothing! Nothing!" Panicked, Lu Yiyun came back to senses and hid her head into her digital drawing board, pretending to draw.
Zhang Zian thought her expression was off, but he couldn't tell why. Having no time to think about this issue, he rushed out the door.
After he left, Lu Yiyun patted her chest and felt relieved. 
"He almost found out," she muttered to herself, now that she was alone in the store.
"Quack! What did he find out?"
A voice suddenly sounded from above her head.
"Ah!" She screamed and looked up. It turned out that the talking grey parrot had landed on the shelf above her head and was staring at her painting on the computer screen.
On the screen, she had drawn a handsome young man. The style of the young man was like the common heartthrob from Japanese manga, but the outline of his face resembled Zhang Zian's to some extent. 
The young man in the painting was handsome indeed, but for some reason, he seemed to look a little gay.
"No... nothing..." Lu Yiyun couldn't help but want to conceal her intentions, even if the one who asked her a question was just a bird.
"Quack! What a handsome guy. Yiyun, is he your dream lover?" Richard flew to the desk, looking closer at the character sketch on the screen. 
"No, he's the protagonist of my comic," she replied.
"The protagonist of a comic..." Richard squinted and opened its beak, revealing a narrow arc. "What's his name?"
"Well, I haven't thought about that yet."
Lu Yiyun was so bad at naming her characters. Every time she needed to name a character in her comic book, she would have to search for names desperately on the internet.
"Quack! In that case, I think I can tell you a good name." Richard's smile carried a dangerous implication. "Would you like to hear it?"
She nodded. "What's the name?"
Richard solemnly said, "Nowadays, everything is in line with international standards, especially comics. Because comics are image-based and only have a small number of words, they're easier to understand for people of different languages."
Lu Yiyun gaped in surprise. She thought that this gray parrot was intelligent and its words were making a lot sense, so she listened to it more attentively. This was indeed the case with comics. By simply translating the dialogue between characters, a Japanese manga could be easily understood by Chinese, American, and German readers, and vice versa.
Seeing her falling into its trap, Richard continued. "Now, there are many people who come to China to study and travel. For instance, the exchange student Masanori Suzuhara who was here a few days ago. If you want to make your comic's audience bigger, you should give a Chinese-Western name to the protagonist, so that the readers abroad can better immerse themselves in the story." 
Lu Yiyun nodded vigorously. "What would be a better name then?"
Richard was about to reveal its real intentions. It excitedly fluttered its wings and cried, "Quack! How about Billy Zhang?" (Translator's note: Billy Herrington is an American pornographic film actor.)

Lu Yiyun thought that this name sounded a bit familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had heard it from.
"Oh? How do you know his last name is Zhang?"
She suddenly realized that she'd never told Richard that she planned on using the last name Zhang for the protagonist. How did Richard figure it out?
"Quack! Don't mind the minor details!" Richard carefully observed the styling of the young man, shook its head, and changed the subject. "This styling isn't going to work."
"Why? What's wrong with it?" Lu Yiyun felt a little upset from Richard rejecting her design.
Richard raised one wing and pointed at the screen, "You've done a good job with painting, but this style is too Japanese and slender, which is really common on the internet, but isn't easily recognizable."
Lu Yiyun stared thoughtfully at the screen and re-examined her sketch objectively. Indeed, as the grey parrot said, the protagonist's styling was handsome, and had been painstakingly designed by her. However, this Japanese girly styling was extremely rampant on the internet, and her design was simply more elegant than others, but it had no distinctive features to make it recognizable. 
"Then, what styling would be better?" she humbly asked for advice.
Her mind was immersed in the comic world and she'd forgotten that she was talking to a parrot. Since she often talked to her cat Jasmine at home, Zhang Zian often talked with the cats, dogs, and parrots in the pet shop, and Little Celery often talked with the hamster and lop-eared rabbit, she didn't feel like talking to animals was unusual. 
Richard rolled its black eyes and said slyly, "Why not paint him as a muscular guy? A muscular guy with a good-looking face? What do you think?"
Lu Yiyun immeditaely became inspired!
Right! Another identity of Zhang Zian's was a prestigious Master of Wing Chun Kung Fu. She heard that he practiced boxing almost every day. Under his ordinary clothes, he definitely had huge hidden muscles!
With the protagonist's beautiful face and over-developed muscles, he could rip his shirt apart from time to time. The contradiction in his looks and personality would easily leave a lasting impression on the readers!
As for why the protagonist would have to tear up his clothes in a pet shop, Lu Yiyun figured that she could worry about it later.
Her thoughts were occupied with images of an attractive and muscular guy ripping up his clothes and she'd forgotten to focus on why the gray parrot had come up with this idea in the first place.
"It seems very reasonable," she said nodding. "Thank you."
Even though this meant that she had to recreate the protagonist, she felt like it was worth it.
"Quack! You're welcome. If you have any issues, feel free to ask me for help." Having successfully gotten revenge on Zhang Zian, Richard happily fluttered its wings and flew away. "Well, I'll leave you to it."
It landed on the shelf above the doorway. "Just concentrate on drawing and don't worry about anything else. If that idiot Zhang Zian returns, I'll let you know."
"Uh-huh."
Lu Yiyun gratefully picked up her pencil and started working on the protagonist's design. Without her realizing, the decision between no couples or boy love for her comic had also faded from her mind.

There wasn't anything special about him.

Besides his appearance, there wasn't anything special about him. Clear blue eyes like the deepest oceans, dark hair so black that it was nearly blue, and fair skin only marred by scars.

Most of those scars, he got by tripping on his feet, swinging his hand, or trying to do god-knows-what in the kitchen. Not by getting into fights, or cutting himself -- he's not that kind of guy.

He was so frustratingly normal, his eyes had long dulled in his boredom with life. Often, he'd find himself doing questionable things to relieve that boredom. Like screaming out of nowhere or blurting out something into the darkness of his house. It usually ends with him wondering if he was stupid.

No, he wasn't crazy. He didn't have the urge to laugh for no reason or anything like that. His thoughts just have a way to warp into something very cursed that it ends up making him go into a giggling or raging, rambling frenzy to get it out of his head.

He wasn't going to think of one now just to give an example. His neighbours already think he's crazy enough to belong in a madhouse.

Also, if he thought about anything else, he'd never finish his work. For extra money, he wrote and drew web novels and comics. Sometimes he drew random characters and posted the process of the digital animation on YouTube. For an everyday torment, he toiled from morning to afternoons or sometimes evenings as a waiter in a famous fine dining restaurant. It usually meant his legs and arms would be in need of a massage by the end of the day, but at least he wouldn't accidentally give unsuspecting people food poisoning in the kitchen or break the dishes.

But still, it would make him wish he wasn't so awkward and lonely. 

Still, what he earned was just enough for him to live comfortably, albeit on the minimalist side. He wouldn't go find someone to go and split what little he had with.

Selfish, but it was him doing the mundane thing called surviving. He didn't want to take someone's child and make them suffer with him as he did.

Besides, his preference wasn't exactly the most accepted thing around him.

With that thought, he sighed. He went on with the work on hand. Stroke after stroke, the lines slowly formed the image of a boy. 

"Great. I made myself another OC. How fun. Who is this guy now."

This boy had been something he'd been repeatedly drawing for a week. Only now did he finally bring himself to think of a name for this new character. 

This boy carried a gun in his hands-- and he wasn't going to bother with what type because he didn't have the slightest ideas about guns -- and wore all black, save the splash of colour that is a dark blue turtleneck. Short, puffed jacket and trackpants with silver zips; sneakers and gloves; and a beret over shoulder length hair.

Looks like me, he thought. He wished.

The similarities ended with the hair. He didn't even have that good of a fashion. He was broke. 

Despite that, he gave it a name similar to his.
