Hidden in plain sight, a tower, one forgotten and ignored. A place where many have come to die, a place plagued by death and pain.

Tis a tower that links with the tale of a young man who jumped into the devil’s mouth. There, a task was assigned, a task to help whoever he desired, a task to always be bound by said tower; this was the job of the Seeker, the one who sought after the dark-side of humanity. 

The Seeker is a collection of short-stories about different individuals who've decided to take the ultimate step.

The previous story [Virtuoso] has been replaced by this one instead. I decided to go back to my roots of writing dark-stories.

I opened my eyes. Wait I opened my eyes! How could that be possible? I was sure that I would have died, after this huge ligt-blue mass appeared right infront of me and sucked me and my friends Timo and Teresa inside. But here i was, in the middle of a dark forest, with a tower, higher than my eyes could see right next to me.
I was scared, i mean who wouldnt? Imagine going to school like every day and suddenly you find yourself in a forest with only a tower that shouldnt even exist right next to you.
After a few minutes of panicking, i heard a *ding*. I turned in every direction, to find, where this sound came from. After not finding anything i laughed nervously and thought:
"This is like in those novels i read. Some random guy is being transported to another world and somehow finds himself with a system because the most op ability one could have: Plot." But if i had something like this, wouldnt a random text float in front of me if i say: "Status"?
I said the last word out loud and then, right in front of me my status appeared:

After standing around for half an hour, looking at my stats, i found the resolve to walk over to the tower and i knocked at the door.
After 5 minutes of nothing, the door opened and an old man with a blue red robe and a wand that was over 2 meter tall in his hand came out. He was surprised to see me and looked around carefully. After that my vision went dark and i fell to the ground.

In the middle of a school a dimensional rift appeared. It sucked three students inside and vanished without a trace. No one knew where those students went. Follow these three friends in the new world.

Asch pov

"WTF! Wh-What happened in the world?!" I exclaimed surprisingly after I woke up.

"What in the world is that tower and that tower and you! The tower behind the mountain, I can see you, don't even think of hiding!" 

If the tower knew that I reprimanded him for hiding, it will probably retorted, "I'm too tall to hide! And who said to put a mountain between me and your line of sight?!"

"But really though, what happened when I'm sleeping? There's probably some noise when these things appeared in the world right? Maybe my cultivation technique focuses on the Dao of Absolute sleep?" I thought to myself, but stopped because its a waste of time thinking about the unknown.

"I should probably prepare myself first, I shall take a bath, brush my teeth and talk to my grandfather about what's happening."

"Grandfather! Grandfather! Where are you?!" I asked loudly.

"The f*ck are you shouting there for? I'm here!" Aster answered with a bit of irritated expression on his face.

"Oh! So you are here. Grandfather, did you saw the towers outside? Are all of these happening just here or in other places too?." Asch

"Of course I saw them, they are too tall you know? And yes, according to the news in the TV, these towers appeared in every part of the world without knowing how it happened." Aster


"Ohh, so my hunch is right.. Do you have any idea why this things ap-" Before I even completed my question, a robotic voice suddenly said..

"You guys are probably thinking on what's happening right? Sorry, but, I don't have any obligation to give any informations to any of you at all. But I will give you guys a hint... what was it again... oh yeah, say Status and Survive! HAHAHAH!" The robotic voice said in a very ominious way with a demonic laugh at the end.


What the f*ck was that?!


Where the hell did that voice come from?!


Okay Asch, calm yourself down and ask your grandfather.


You are asking me why I always asks my grandfather?


Well, he is older than me so he is more experienced in the world!


"G-grandfather, did you hear what I heard just a few seconds ago?" Asch


"Yes, loud and clear." Aster


Why did my grandfather suddenly talks like a person from military?


Nevermind..


"So what do you think did he mean survive? Do you have any idea?" Asch


"Please don't ask me every little thing that happens, but i think I do have an idea.. It's probably related to the towers that appeared suddenly." Aster


I read many novels before I became a writer myself and one of them have towers appearing too that contains monster/treasures and humans suddenly having superpowers. Was it the same in the real world too?


"Indeed, that is indeed possible. If that's true though then.. (I should enter a tower as soon as possible!) Grandpa I'll go out for a while. And say status too and check what power you got." Asch


"Power? Huh? Okay, just be careful." Aster

He went out of the house and ran to the nearest tower.

"Wooh, I'm finally here. Before I enter I should check my status." Asch

After reading it, I smiled. I thought that the power I gain from the cultivation technique would be detected and turn me into martial artist but it seems like the system wasn't that omnipotent.

It can't detect the power I got from cultivating!

"This is good. This is basically me having two classes separately. The power I got from the system and cultivation works separately which means that my power level doesn't really define my true strength." Asch smiled like a villain.

"I need some kind of sword.. Maybe the inventory has one? Inventory open!" Asch

Healing pill x2
Pet food (fire) x5


"There's a sword! There are also two healing pills that is probably something helpful in the tower.. but.. pet food? I guess we can tame pets? Nevermind, I should enter the tower first and think later." Asch

I equipped the sword and walked in front of the tower's door. I placed my hands on the door and before I even have the chance to push it, I was engulfed by a bright light.

Tower floor 1

A bright light appeared in a dark room and spit a silhouette of human. The silhouette is obviously me and I fell, butt first.

"F*ck, it seems like gentle weren't in their dictionary." I said while rubbing my butt.

"I can't see anything! Enchant my sword with flame, Flame Enchantment!" Me being someone who are a veteran in game type novels, obviously know what flame enchantment can do.


A flame burst out from the blade part of the sword. The light it produced was enough to let me see where I am.


"So I'm in the entrance door huh? I guess the tower doesn't like to be entered the normal way.. I pity you, door." 


After being 'sad' for the door, I looked around and saw another door. There are two words on top it.. "Boss room"..

Cultivation + system + modern era! A writer named Asch was dumbfounded. His life turned into game/fantasy novel like itself!


I'm just a lowly beginner writer so please expect many cringey lines/words/sentences in my novel.

When the stars come out to play and the evening takes on that aroma of the night, when the Caterpies sing for the joy of living, my bed awaits. I love the softness, the quiet, the sense of rest. My thoughts slow as a beautiful carousel, each dancing as ribbons from a kite string that reaches for the sky, its colors embracing those lofty heights and inviting in the dreams that wear festival costumes and are formed of music. In sleep, as in wakefulness, I play.
As my mind enters a deep slumber, it remembers Raikou. I could barely forget its image, it has permanently remained in my memory, to be cherished forever. Every ten minutes I would suddenly shift sleeping positions. First to the left, and now to the right, I swirl around my pillow and Pokemons.
Morning arrives, and I wake up unusually. Seven in the morning, I'm fully energized already but before I'd still be in my bed, sleep talking with my Pokemons. A new day starts for me and Virgo. I look to her bed, watching her read another novel of hers.
"Doesn't reading hurt your mind? I read, but not every day." I question, leaning my head on her bed.
"Novels are interesting, it is as if I'm living inside its chapters. We live in novels that have been created for us. Worlds woven by words that we circle, as though we are the Earth, and they, the sun. Stories we tell ourselves become who we are, and suddenly, we're orbiting time and space like we're following a script." Virgo explains while reading a novel.
"Woah, that was pretty deep."
"Huh, did you say something?" Virgo tilts her head to me, only realizing now that I was staring at her. I also realized that she was just reading a dialogue from her book.
"Never mind," I reply back with a pouty face.
After a little talk, a morning talk, Professor Olive knocks on the doors again. I gladly open the doors for her to see her lustrous smile. The rest of her face, not so much. It was obvious to me that she has slept late again in order to do some research and investigation.
"Luna. I have a direct message from Executive Ariana. Please listen to it." Professor Olive bids, placing a circular silver sphere on the desk. With a remote control, she turns it on, emitting a holographic image of Executive Ariana.
"Greetings Agent Luna Evergreen! The executives are busy handling a mission in Sevii islands therefore we couldn't meet personally today. I have prepared this message for you and I hope you would comprehend it. Even with two failures, the executives still have faith in you, since you still stand out from other elite operatives.
Anyways, here are the details for your solo mission. Since your pilot has... let's just skipped that part. You have a new pilot, and from now on she is responsible for sending you to different missions. She's permanent, unless she ends up like your former pilot.
Her name is Xeryll, and she's five years older than you. She will send you to Cherrygrove city in order to claim the fourth piece of the puzzle. In Cherrygrove city, you will find a tower, similar to the tower of Lavender or the Pokemon Tower in the Kanto Region. Expect ghost type Pokemons, after all, the tower is a burial site for Pokemons.
The fourth piece could be found on the top of the tower. Bring it to headquarters safely. As much as possible, avoid getting yourself into any trouble. I'm expecting that the Rebirth Society won't be much of a bother since, after all, they are busy with their own pieces as well.
Alright, this is your mission. Good luck agent." Ariana's holographic image explains the details. It then shuts off afterward.
"Cherrygrove city? Neat! Can you do me a favor and buy me a king's rock too?" Virgo begs.
"King's rock? What for?"
"Secret. Anyways, here's my money. Please buy the stone for me." 
"Sigh, sure" I concur, taking the money from her hand.
After breakfast, another solo mission begins. Finding the fourth piece and acquiring it will seem like an easy task for me. On the helicopter pad before my departure on the island, I am greeted by my pilot. Her hair is yellow, and her eyes are a bit sharp. She wears a brown leather jacket. On the other hand, her pupils are a bit dark blue but for others it may seem black.
"So, I assume you're agent Luna?" She shakes my hand, smiling pleasantly.
"Yes, yes I am."
"I am Xeryll, your pilot. Let's take it to the skies shall we?" 
The clock strikes ten, and finally, the helicopter leaves the island with professor Olive waving at me from the helicopter pad. In the skies of Johto, the helicopter is met with unusual movements that I wasn't familiar with.
"Oh, don't worry. It's just the turbulence." Adjusting the mirror to see me from the back, Xeryll comforts me after seeing my troubled face. The shaking helicopter reminds me of my time in the Seafoam Islands. How I dread that moment. Xeryll seems like a skilled pilot, she knows what to do during unexpected situations such as air resistance and turbulence. 
I'm probably safer if I travel with her starting from now one. The quest for the King's Rock and the fourth piece has just begun!

All I wanted is to have a typical life, a life with no burden nor struggle. A life where someone appreciates my existence. Why did my desire for a blissful life bring me down this path? My body is filled with thorns as I walk to a path which I could not stray from. What have I done to deserve this? Why did they abandon me? Why am I shrouded with the hands of lie and fear? All I wanted is to live a life where no one mocks the burdens I bear. Is that too much to ask for? 

I am Luna Evergreen, a name feared by many, a name mocked by everyone. Let them shroud their eyes with the terror I hold upon, let the trumpets roar my name. Let those who oppose me live to regret their decision! To infect the world with devastation, that is the purpose set upon me. Blast off to the speed of light, surrender now or you'll surely lose the fight. 

I am Luna Evergreen, and this is how I became the villain of my story....

BLAST OFF!

"Wow, this place is huge and… Old…. Creepy…. And probably full of ghosts… Okay, Aoi, let's find another place!" Kana took one look at the tall, dark tower and decided against going in there. The tower was strange as it seemed more like a place where an evil wizard would reside or maybe even a demon lord. The dark, oddly shaped towered went from straight to crooked near the top before straightening out again. In front of the tower were many dead trees and a low lying fog that covered many stones that littered the surrounding yard. With the large metal gate towering at least a tens of meters taller than Kana, who only stood at one hundred and sixty two centimeters. It made her feel the whole place was very oppressive.  
But even though she was scared as soon as she heard Aoi say: "Kana, I think we should go… I sense a strong power coming from within..." She knew she had to go in.
"Why here of all places...?" Kana cried. She really did not want to go in there, but she also did not want to give up checking out this strong power! Mainly because it could possibly be something that will allow her to cast cool spells! Kana was still very much obsessed with wanting to cast cool spells. With no other option, Kana gritted her teeth and walked up to the large gates, and pushed with all her might. "Huh? ..."  
Kana looked at the gate, feeling very confused. "It won't budge..." She once again pushed on the gate with all her might, except this time she used both hands and… "What the hell is wrong with this gate!?"
As Kana was pondering on how to open the gate, Aoi floated over and grabbed the handle on the gate with her little hands pulled on it and opened the gate. She then floated inside, bringing the tiger monster with her. She even made sure to close the gate behind her as well. Kana, who watched all this from the side, face turned slightly red… "I knew that! I was just testing you!"  Kana mumbled to herself.  She felt very embarrassed since she had been pushing on the gate the entire time!  
With red cheeks, Kana walked over and opened the gate properly this time and hurriedly caught up to Aoi. The atmosphere was just as oppressive and scary inside the gates as it was when she was outside. More so now because she was actually walking past what seemed to be graves.  
"Aoi, there are no ghosts, right??" Kana asked as she hugged herself. She reacted to every little noise she heard.  
"Ghost? I do not know, but there are a lot of dead people here..." Aoi said, pointing to the figures walking slowly towards them.
A few hundred figures' bodies shook awkwardly with each step. The large open wounds and bones poked through their grey skin. Flesh hung off the exposed bone. Some of those bits of flesh would fall off as they walked. Some had eyes, while others only had one or no eyes to be seen. The dark hollows of their eyes sockets as they looked at you felt as if they were peering deep into your soul. Kana felt a shiver run down her spine as she looked at these undead figures walking over to her. "Z-Z-Zombies!" Yes, just like in one of the novels she had read before, in front of her was the textbook description of a zombie.
"Zombie? Kana, what is a zombie?" Aoi asked. She was not at all perturbed by the grotesque figures walking toward them.  
"Zombies are dead people who come back to life." Kana gave a quick answer as she drew her sword.  
"Oh..."Aoi completely lost interest as she waved her hand, sending out a blade of water that sliced the heads off of the hundreds of zombies in an instant. "Let's go! Kana doesn't need to dirty her hands with such disgusting creatures."  
Kana couldn't help but shake her head and smile as she walked on. Kana didn't even need to raise her hand to kill anything, Aoi actually did all the work for her. The best part was that even though it was Aoi who was doing all the killing, she still received half the experience per kill. As part of being Kana's summoned elemental, she was able to receive experience for any and all monsters Aoi killed. In a situation where she really did not wish to get near the enemy, Kana was very happy about this. Aoi easily dispatched any zombie that came towards them with a simple flick of her finger.  
The distance between the gate and the black tower was a long one. It took them around thirty minutes to reach the front doorstep. From there, it seemed like the stairs themselves were a test in its own right as the only door to be seen was halfway up the tower. When Kana saw the large set of stairs that were waiting for her to climb them, she let out a sigh as she resigned herself to her incoming fate.  
The set of stairs themselves were large in comparison to Kana. She had not realized how large the tower was until she actually stood in front of it. From a distance, the tower looked like any normal sized tower but now standing staring at the large steps that she had to climb not with just her feet but her hands as well as if she was climbing a mountain wall. With how big everything was, Kana could only think that maybe whoever owned this tower was a giant. Or someone with a strange sense of humor. "If I go inside and there is an elevator this entire time to get to the top, I will be very mad..." Kana mumbled as she backed up a little to give herself a running start. Planting her foot off the side of the first step, Kana launched herself upwards and grabbed the ledge in order to pull herself up.  
Standing on that first step looking at the hundred or so more stairs to go, Kana let out a heavy deep sigh. One that showed just how annoyed by this situation she was.  


Orphaned at the mere age of seven and thrown out on the streets with no place to go. Kana lived the life of a street rat. She did what she could to survive from digging through the trash and stealing what she could. But even after almost ten years of surviving, her life still ended short. 

Holding her head feeling slightly dizzy, her lips slowly curled up into a sinister-looking smile as she let out a laugh. "Maybe someone was listening to me after all! I do not know which god heard my last dying wish, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I, Nagano Kana, owe you a debt of gratitude."

In a new world, reborn as a dragon, Kana will begin her new journey. She will experience many things along her path as she struggles to grow stronger to evolve and survive in this new world.


"That's another one!" Kana spun around in a circle, put her left paw on her hip, and gave a V sign with her right claws while winking… It was a strange pose indeed.

When I played Dota2 at home I  was participated in the Dota2 Online Tournament. Before I destroy the last tower and become a winner then got the prize, I was struck by lightning and died.

And here I am, alone in a dark place without a body just a soul. As I was contemplating, I was startled by a burst of golden light that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. What appeared when the light dimmed was a flawlessly beautiful woman. The woman exuded an aura of warmth, tenderness, and calm that soothed him.

What followed was an introduction between me and the woman who introduced herself as the Goddess, Creator, and Manager of the Multiverse.

Goddess: "Boy you died by accident because my daughter accidentally dropped lightning on your house. I feel that it is my responsibility that you died because of my daughter. You will be allowed to rebirth or reincarnate with the system"

I'm was little off by my sudden death but immediately became happy and excited when the Goddess was giving me compensation.

Me: "Thank you, lady. I would like to reincarnate"

Goddess: "Alright, Goodbye boy may you be happy in this new life, and once again I'm sorry for my daughter mistake that caused your death"

Then Richard snapped out of his imagination and started working he used his knowledge of earth web to create a blue print with George analyzing it and adding some finishing touch and putting it into the base system the Magical Network came to life.
As you know the real word web is divided to three layers
The surface web which is like google ,bing ,wikipedia, .....
The Deep web which consists of Academic , scientific, government,.... documents
The Dark web which consists of encrypted sites , illegal information, Drug trade,....
So Richard designed his magical web to be layered but it is only two layers one layer is for sensing surroundings and transmission of information, and the other layer is a true dark web for necromancy, applying curses and life energy transformation.
So basically if a living thing comes into contact with magical web without even him noticing applying curses and life draining are possible. As for the beings that are sensitive to mana first of all the first layer confuses them, second the mana used for second layer is attributed to dark adding a little bit of void element in the mix, so void element increases the range of network and is the best attribute to keep the network hidden, and third the network is not pure mana not only it has soul energy mixed in with it a variety of different energy not only sensing it is difficult understanding and diffusing its nature is extremely hard.
"Now that the magical network has been created not only tower can absorb mana faster but after all this time I get to have life energy with enough life energy and mana it is possible to reinforce my bones maybe even add a little bit of skin or muscles like a recently formed good looking lich not a 200 years old one this way this bodies hp will not be that low too though it does not really matter a little life force and it is enough for another 200 years" thought Richard
"oh right George can you make games, cartoons, mangas, novels based on my memories" asked Richard
"Yes master it is possible to built all of those above showing it with holographic image in 2D or using illusion magic to create a real authentic 3D but it needs a lot of calculations and my abilities should be higher" said George
"Can you built next episodes or new series too"said Richard
"Yes master it is possible though not currently and using magical network I can access some memories of souls around so it is possible to built extremely realistic series" said George
"wow finding a new use for the magical network" exclaimed Richard barely holding back the neet side of him
"well now let 's spice things up a little "said Richard

Why should a lich be on the battlefield anyway don't they have something like long ranged summon or  something like internet network this time with magic

Five Years Later

With The insane Rocks finally dead new pirates rose to prominence. Roger, WhiteBeard, Shiki, Redfield, World and others. The Navy not to be outdone fought back with the Leader Kong, Hero Garp, Admiral Sengoku along with the 4 talents of the navy. Dragon, Sakazuki, Kuzan and Borsalino. In addition to this Ryu finally knew why not many pirates came or why previous merchants stopped coming.

Its because of the Heavenly tribute turning Atlantis into a poor kingdom with nothing really to sell. For some reason Mulberry couldn't survive or be planted out of the atmosphere of Atlantis. And luckily the Vicuna only ate Mulberry in this world so it gave them an advantage in sales in the future.

Another major reason is due to the fact that Atlantis is really close to Elbaf. Ryu was especially happy to be close to Elbaf. Adam's wood comes from Elbaf along with the rich history of Elbaf they are bound to have a lot of information. Information that Atlantis needs.

Things like Ship building, weather, other islands, forging and other things. Ryu wanted to encompass alot of things into Atlantis. Fabric and Metal would be the leading production and hopefully so would Seastone. Grabbing these three products along with sea salt and water would cause Athens Income to boom.

This would also cause problems. WG like problems and if he can establish a relationship with the Giants and maybe become allies. Then the World Government wouldn't bother unless the operation became too big. Atleast for a while. And thankfully today is the day where our merchants set off for Elbaf.

Ryu was happy to do business with the Giants. They're a proud race that would disdain cheating or even lowballing people. And he needed just that sort of first transaction type of individual. Standing at the port Ryu who was only a little taller along with Sara, Sven, Grey, Alex, Laxus and Loki stood.

Behind them a large group of citizens stood and watched. On the side Oscar looked on with smiles. After all his Metal would be the main product of this trade.

Ryu: Kenny, Rachel, Ryan take care of yourself out there. Remember if anything goes wrong use the large scroll to summon me and I'll be there instantly. The small scrolls can be lost or even destroyed but your lives are more important.

Kenny: Don't Worry your Majesty I'll ensure the trip is safe.

Ryu: Good. When you make it there immediately start business. Once the business is all done rip the seal and I'll summon you all back here.

Kenny: Yes your Majesty.

Ryu: Soldiers protect them well. Remember your formations and ways of attack they shall keep you safe from most. Use the Ballistas and Arrow Cannons well. Dont be to arrogant or go provoking people but also don't let others bully you all.

Soldiers: Yes Your Majesty.

They all boarded the ship that was painted dark gold to match both the new Flag of Atlantis aswell as the soldier's new armor. The armor was the same as the woodland realms elves which now included a sword, spear, bow, arrows and shield. The sheilds are square shaped that are able to latch on and off each other easily.

They also have indents at the edges of each corner to allow a spear through it once they go into formation. On the front of the shield is the new symbol of Atlantis. The Evenstar Necklace with the Symbols of peace and prosperity on either side. The ships flags also have this symbol. This symbol will become something to be feared in the future.

Slowly the ship sailed away as everyone watched in silence as the convoy slowly disappeared. Ryus confidence in this expedition came from his sealing improvement. Not only did he make the summoning scroll for such things.

He also made an alert seal. So long as one had the talisman and ripped it a plate would crack. This acted as a distress signal for help. It would be something in the line of the Vivre Card but better as it has his Flying Thunder God stamp. Sadly he didn't have the strength to fly across half an island let alone Island to island.

So this is where the summoning scroll comes into play. In addition to these he made several defensive formations along the lines of the Great Wall that surrounds Atlantis. Including all these The Farm and Planting Sections of the islands have been completed and plans for the entertainment district are underway.
