Time flew by quickly and it's the day of the gathering. All dressed in my custom made dress and expensive jewelry, I look at myself in the mirror and sigh. Even after all these events, I still feel ashamed to have to hide one of my eyes.
I touch my reflection in the mirror. I always choose to hide the brown eye and only let the blue one show because that was the eye colour I was born with. I truly find myself strange, first, I have blue hair, a hair colour no human has ever had. 
And second, only the noble royal family descendants are known to have blue eyes unlike me. I was born a commoner, then why are my eyes blue? And why did my eye change colour from blue to brown after I regained consciousness after the shipwreck?
I walk closer to the mirror, staring into my glass-like eye's reflection. It looks so fragile and transparent, just like a porcelain doll's glass eyes. It could almost suck you into a deep void. Not only is it unusual, it's also incomparable to anyone else's.
It's... beautiful. I step closer to the mirror, captivated by my eye's reflection. Suddenly, my vision gets blinded. 
Raven: Huh?
What... What happened? A beam of light passes in front of me and my surroundings become slightly clearer. However all that I can see is.... that I'm underwater. What is going on?!
???: Do you think that she's going to die?
???: Looks like it, the injuries are too severe.
I can hear high pitched voices echoing around, but can't see anyone. This... I'm obviously underwater then, how can someone-
???: Then, that means that she's going lose 1 life out of the 3 we gave her?
???: Such fate; to fall into the sea twice, to be left for the dead, it's sad, isn't it? 
Lose a life? Left for death? What are they talking about? I start to open my eyes s little more and one of them notices this.
???: She's awake!
???: We need to extract one of the three mutations now or she won't make it. So, SLEEP...
Something touches my forehead and my eyes close instantly and I fall into deep slumber, none of my questions answered...
*Knock knock*
Lily: Raven? Are you done? Prince Jayden is waiting for you.
Raven:!!!
A familiar voice  snaps me out of my trance and brings me back to reality. I retreat from the mirror at once, panting. What... Just what was that?! Th-The whole conversation about me dying and the lives, what does all that mean?! However, right now...
Raven: I'll be right there!
Right now, I need to fulfill my job as Jayden's companion for the evening. I-I can sort everything out later. But, was what I just saw all real? It doesn't make any sense, who were they? How could they talk underwater? And what did they mean about the 3 lives?
I use both of my hands to pull the door open and there, standing a few metres away from me dressed an expensive, elegant outfit, is my partner for the evening, Jayden. He smiles at me charmingly and I return the favor while walking towards him.
I take his arm and we start walking towards the ballroom. Then he leans in slightly and whispers..
Jayden: You look gorgeous.
Raven: Don't flatter me.
My tone is assertive, without the slightest hint of courtesy. When there is no one around, Jayden and I drop all the formalities and speak informally to each other, just like two friends would.
Although I try to focus on my 'task' and stay in character, I can't get that vision out of my mind. Wait, they were talking about removing a mutation to save my life. According to them, there were three mutations and they had to get rid of one.
If that was all true, do those mutations refer to my unusual features? My hair and my (prior) pair of eyes.. They are blue, which is abnormal. Then the mutation that they extracted must be the unusual colour of one of my eyes!
That's why my eye must have changed its colour! It all fits together, but there are still many loop holes. When did they give me those lives and who are they? What did they mean when they said that I had been left to die in the sea twice? And.. Just who and what am I really?
Amidst  my dilemma, we arrive at the ballroom. The guards open the door for us to a grand world of light and celebration. The task starts now!

"Find another Security Chief in 5 years or marry me." That was the condition the Prince gave me. I worked as hard as possible to train my students, but they couldn't surpass me. There were only two months left when 'he' appeared in my life, turning it upside-down. He eventually surpassed me. I should've been delighted as I wanted to leave the kingdom to avenge my parents and I could do so freely now, but something is pulling me back. What is this feeling? Did I... fall in love with 'him'?...... In the end, do I take the hand of the kind Prince who once saved my life or the man who wishes for another woman...?

I looked at the area around me. There were many food and clothes stalls that were opening. People started to line up for breakfast and crowded the thin streets. As much as I hated crowds I walked right into the crowd. I looked in the reflection of the mirror and the two men behind me looked flustered behind me. Let's see how long you can keep up suckers. I laugh under my breath and walk in the crowd of hungry and cranky elderly people. They shove at me and I get jostled by the crowd, mixing in with the many people. 
I notice an alleyway with a few garbage bags and I smile as I spot the exit at the back of the alleyway. I have used this path sometimes in hopes of stealing a ride to Karandish. At first, it was really useful, but sometimes the wait for a vehicle to depart took a long time, and many people didn't leave the city so early in the morning. 
I notice behind me how the crowd clears for the two mages to pass through. I start to sprint as soon as I'm in the dark alley. Shards of broken glass lay along the path of the dark alleyway and I wince as I feel a sharp piece attach itself to the sole of my shoe. It would be bad if I left any traces of my blood anywhere. As much as I wanted to pull it out, I had to endure and make it to the end. I saw the broken fence and jumped onto a wall of a building before gripping the top of the fence, and quickly pushed myself over. I winced at the sharp pain the shard of glass shot up my leg and cursed silently. 
I need to bury it somewhere. I heard some light footsteps in the alleyway and I continued to run. Behind the fence were trucks and broken vans. Most of them were unoccupied but I quickly ran as I felt the few billows of sand drifting in from the East. I am close to the exit of Palawan. 
I scanned the area and saw a few women entering an open seated van.
A young boy waved money in the air as he yelled, "KARANDISH! KARANDISH! COME, COME ABOARD TO KARANDISH!"
Bingo. I watched as men and women piled onto the back of the truck-like-bus. Only a thin tarp was thrown overhead the passengers to shield them from the glaring sunlight. The boy saw that no one was climbing aboard and headed to the front seat. Another young teen was in the driver's seat as he puffed on a cigarette. His arm dangled from the window as he glanced at the back, through the mirror for a headcount. 
I crept closer to the van. They weren't starting yet. They were going to count the money and then start the ride. I found a pile of sand nearby and quickly limped over. The alleyway bought me some time because many other paths branched out from that same alley. It would take a bit longer for the mages to catch me without the use of magic. If they do, then I have to hurry the hell up. 
I pull out the shard of glass from the bottom of my shoe. The soles on my shoes were worn so thin, that they easily ripped from a shard of glass. I needed to buy new shoes, or at least find decent shoes from a ditch somewhere. I glanced towards the truck. I wipe the blood off the glass on my cloak and quickly dig a hole before throwing the glass in. With this, I dust off my hands and walk towards the van.
One of the two mirrors were broken, and there were three women and two men seated at the back. The maximum capacity of the truck would usually be ten people. I saw a few more women heading towards the truck and blended in with them. A man looked at me suspiciously and I brought out a few bills of money, not noticing the way he was looking at me.
Of course, I was going to pay, maybe a little less than the real amount, but I was still going to pay. I try to remain calm as I stay seated by the entrance of the van. Many people are seated side by side. Two benches ran across and there was not much legroom for the passengers. The two boys at the front glanced at the back and they hit the side of their truck. 
It's custom to be checked in a small security post at the front of the vehicle parking area, but it is easy to get by unnoticed. I saw the mages at the corner of my eyes and my palm started to sweat. They didn't come out from the alley but through the security post. Shit, they can't spot me now. 
The two men scan the area. At this time, more people are in their vehicles, so it would take a few moments to notice where I was at. I sweat as I see the position I am in. They would have a clear view of me since I am seated near the entryway, and the tarp doesn't even cover our upper bodies. I notice a lady's scarf poking out of her bag. 
It was long and shimmery. I glanced at the others in the van. Though I felt guilty, most of the passengers were elderly people, I knew they probably wouldn't be able to tell if I quickly snuck the scarf out of her bag. I pretended to drop a coin on the ground and as I was in a bent position, I, quick as lightning, pulled the silk scarf out of her bag and glanced around me. Naturally, as if nothing happened, I was sitting back up with my cloak around me and the pick scarf around my head and covering my face. 
The man in front of me squinted his eyes at me. His wrinkles protruded and he frowned as he tried to understand what happened. Before he could do anything, the boy at the front banged at the side of the van announcing departure. 
Okay, buddy let's get going… and not call more attention to ourselves. I whipped my head towards the security check post area, and I saw the two mages glance towards this truck. I smiled as I turned around slowly as if enjoying the view. 
Take that slowpoke. The van shuddered to life and was on its way. The thing I liked about young drivers...they went fast. What I didn't like about them...they caught everything. Even a pink girl who appeared out of nowhere. I glanced at their side-view mirror and the boy puffing a cigarette looked at me as he puffed out smoke from his cigarette into the mirror and then smiled. 
Yup, I'm screwed. 

In the grand Kingdom of Pereshwar, there lived a servant by the name of Nailah El Nour. Yep, that’s me. Having experienced the harsh reality of being a neglected bastard princess in a time where power struggles were most imminent, I decided to live my life under the radar as a servant.

Wary of my upcoming, the prince now is onto my case and has kept me under his radar but he doesn’t know that I am a lost princess of the previously fallen empire. My very existence poses a huge threat to the new kingdom, and I can under no circumstance fall into their hands. Now, as I struggle to keep my identity a secret, I also have to deal with this very cold and infuriating prince from invading my personal life. As I start to reveal my hidden powers and more secrets of the Pereshwaran empire, I start to reveal more of myself and the powers that longed to be let out.

"You heard them mention that?" Chen Ge's interest was piqued.
"Yes, the day before your parents' disappearance, they came to me, saying someone wanted to give me a present. However, due to various complications, said person could not be there and thus entrusted the task to them." Director Luo took a wooden box from the nearby bookshelf. After opening the box, it revealed a roughly-hewn roly-poly toy.
He held the toy in his palm. "Even though the making is rough, I appreciate the meaning. No matter the difficulty, it will stand up again."
Chen Ge was anxious, and he urged, "What did my parents say after that? Where did you hear those few words?"
"Your parents left after they gave me the gift. Since I have a habit of not closing my office door, I accidentally overheard their conversation in the corridor." Director Luo thought to himself before continuing. "At the time, they had not wandered far from the door. Your father said something like… 'The door to the Third Sick Hall has been opened again.' And your mother replied, 'The door wasn't closed in the first place.'"
"That's it?"
"That's all I could hear. They did continue the conversation, but I could not hear them clearly."
After chatting for a few more minutes and confirming that there was nothing more Director Luo could give him, Chen Ge exited his office.
The door to the Third Sick Hall has to be something more than a literal door, could it be similar to the door in the Haunted House's mirror? Could there be another world behind the door?
He could not understand why his parents would say something like that. He pulled out the black phone to read the mission hint again.
It said 'he' came from the Third Sick Hall. Does it mean that he came from the bloody world, similar to the mirror monster?
The day before their disappearance, Chen Ge's parents had been discussing the Third Sick Hall; did this mean that their disappearance was related to it?
He knew that his parents had disappeared around an abandoned hospital. The police had searched all the nearby buildings but found nothing. Now, Chen Ge suspected that his parents had entered the door and travelled to the other world.
It's still too soon to confirm the mission venue for the Third Sick Hall is the hospital that my parents disappeared in. Chen Ge patted his face lightly to force himself to calm down. Since it was related to his parents, his emotions were unsettled. The mission has three stars, so it must be dangerous. Even if I accept it now, I might not be able to complete it. I'd better focus on the immediate mission for now.
The Trial Mission at Hai Ming Apartments was related to the Third Sick Hall. Completing this mission would provide more understanding of the Third Sick Hall, so it was not a bad place to start.
At 4 pm, the number of visitors slowed. Chen Ge handed the key to the Haunted House to Xu Wan, and he crawled into the props room to prepare for the Trial Mission that night. The doll left behind by his parents was the park's guardian spirit, so it was only useful inside the park. Therefore, Chen Ge did not bring it along with him this time.
Looking at his choices, Chen Ge eventually settled on the phone charger, lighter, safety rope, and the incredibly handy multi-purpose mallet.
That should be enough. He thought about it before shoving the reward money that he had left from the Ping An Apartment case into his backpack. It's early. Perhaps I should go to the mannequin shop first. If the price is right, I can directly give the down payment.
The quicker he finished Mu Yang High School's Hidden Mission, the earlier he would reap the reward. After some cleaning up, when Chen Ge passed the dressing room, he accidentally saw Xiaoxiao, who was hiding behind the door. The fake blood was splattered all over the floor, and there was some on Xiaoxiao as well.
"What are you doing?" Chen Ge picked up Xiaoxiao and asked Xu Wan to help clean the place before returning to the staff breakroom. A roomful of fake blood, Xu Wan must have thought it was my handiwork. Will she think her boss has lost his mind?
Chen Ge used a towel to wipe the fake blood off Xiaoxiao's body. He pinched her face, threatening, "If you continue to be naughty, I'll…"
He was stuck because he could not figure out what Xiaoxiao was afraid of. Eventually, he huffed and shoved Xiaoxiao into his backpack as well. After everything was ready, Chen Ge exited the Haunted House and the park.
The park visitor number was dwindling, and the open air carpark was empty. There was not even a line at the bus stop.
Maintaining the park requires plenty of money; with so few visitors, it mustn't be easy for Director Luo.
After crossing the road, Chen Ge looked for the mannequin workshop using the information on the internet.
He saw the sign hanging above a door that led underground. When he asked the hawker on the street, Chen Ge was told that the workshop was underground.
Walking down the steps, the walls on both sides were covered in scrawling that he could not appreciate, and at the end of the step was a glass door with the sign 'FOR RENT/SALE'.
"Is anyone in?" Chen Ge looked through the glass room. The interior looked like an underground storeroom; the place was huge but empty. After waiting for some time, a slightly overweight man answered the door in his slippers.
He looked roughly the same age as Chen Ge. He was in very casual attire and had some baby fat on his face. The glass door opened, and Chen Ge was blasted in the face by the air conditioning.
"You are the boss? I wish to order a set of custom-made mannequins," Chen Ge explained.
"Okay, come in." The man invited Chen Ge into the shop. "How big do you want it? If it's under thirty centimeters, you can get it under three days."
"That's too small. I want something the size of a real person, and the joints all need to be moveable; can you do something like that?" Chen Ge looked at the equipment inside the workshop; the place was more professional than it appeared on the outside.
"Similar size to a real person? With moveable parts?" Comprehension dawned for the man. With an understanding look, he asked, "How many do you want?"
"Twenty-four, when you can finish the order?" Chen Ge answered.
"Twenty-four‽" the man asked in a raised pitch.
The shout scared Chen Ge. "Why are you screaming so suddenly? Is twenty-four too many for the workshop to produce?"
"All for your personal use?"
"What use would I have for the mannequins?" Chen Ge realized the man had misunderstood him, so he explained, "I own a Haunted House; the mannequins are part of the set design."
"Okay…" The man sighed in relief. "If it's for a Haunted House, I don't suggest using too expensive filler. After all, the exhaustion rate is too high. We can make two types here, solid base and half-solid base. The most expensive 12,000, cheapest 3,000. Also, I have to remind you, all the workers have left, and I've been left alone to look after the place. So, twenty-four custom-made mannequins will probably take a month to be completed."


The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor. 
At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. The call he was trying to make was finally answered. "Landlord, is this what you meant by 'the house can be a little crowded at night'‽"

Jake's consciousness began to fade for a moment then reappear, he woke up staring at a ceiling coated in white paint. Jake the sat up and leaned against a headboard [You know the board at the front of a bed to stop you from hitting the wall. 🛏] and looked over his surroundings.

The room he was in was painted blue with some posters of T.V show s and films scattered around, a Morden style white desk sat in the corner. The desk and a laptop and what seemed to be paper work. A mirror was hanging above the desk reflecting a portion of the room.

Jake got up and walked over to the mirror in a slightly rushed manner. What he saw as an exact replica of what he imagined, with a few minor details he forgot filled in. Jake then picked up what he saw as paper work and read the title, "Eunjang enrolment form" he read aloud.

As he went read through the form and got to personal information, his body froze. Then his mind began to ache. Information started up loading inside his mind.

Jake Copper, a half Korean half British student currently studying in Korea. Has a above average grades, went to 'H' middle school in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧. Left the Uk for Korea last week and just arrived. Family is middle-class and sent him to Korea to spend more time with his mother's family, and is currently staying with his Grandmother. [Just some little background information....didn't know how to slot it in so I went with a cliché.]

As the information stoped flowing into jakes mind a stinging sensation harassed his mind, until finally it stopped leaving a slightly confused Jake. However no staying on the subject long he quickly filled out the form and went down stairs into a seemingly empty house and put it on the table. Hoping someone will deliver it for him.

Jake got to know his grandparent pretty well over the week. He also has became slightly a custom to controlling his strength. Yet he's still afraid to hug or making physical contact with anyone...due to 'the incident.'

—-one week ago—-Flashback—-

As Jake was having dinner with his 'new' grandparent he went to pick up a glass then..."Crash!" The glass shattered into pieces from his grip. 

This accidental show of strength got surprised looks from his grandparents, yet you could see they were slightly relived, due to them knowing what the neighbourhood's high schoolers are like.

After a series of apologies from Jake the incident was forgotten.

"Jake!" His grandfather yelled from down stairs, "Your first day of school is today! You'd better get ready!"

Jake awoken by the frantic screams of his grandfather, got up and looked at the time on his phone, "Buts it's only 7:00 am! God I hate high school." He mumbled in frustration.

The suddenly Jake got a jolt of excitement to meet his favourite characters like Gray, Alex, Ben and teddy. Although be planned to stay clear of teddy till Gray beat the sh*t out of him.

Jake got dressed, brushed his teeth had breakfast and set off on the way to his new school. On the journey he got lots of glares and hateful looks along with comment about his appearance and taunts like "Come here you ugly b*stard". 

As he was outside the school gates he saw Alex and the overly cheerful Ben fooling around, although he wanted to listen in he was rather worried that Alex with his short temper might get annoyed at him, so he left it and headed towards his assigned class 1-5. [I just put him in the same class as Gray tell me if you have any problems with that.

As Jake walking into the school, he saw many people like Phillip Kim and other wanna be thugs. (Ugh, those glares are horrible! Maybe I should just punch one of them to send a message....WAIT why am I thinking like a thug!)

As he walked further inside the school he finally saw a teacher, "Hello sir, could you please  point me in the direction of class 1-5?"

The teacher looks back to see me, and he looked genuinely confused "I didn't know there was such polite people in your generation. Sure kiddo just follow this corridor and take a life your find it in no time. Are you new to this neighbourhood?" He finished with a question after directing me.

"Yes, just moved here from the United Kingdom 🇬🇧" replied Jake with a smile. The teachers confusion was relived at the moment and he began to walk off to the teachers lounge.

Jake followed the teachers instructions and eventually found class 1-5. As he looked through a window on the door, he caught the view of Colton Choi spitting on the back of the neck of the student in front of him.

Jake is college student in the United Kingdom, he lives his life getting above average grades, with below average athleticism. He went through school being unnoticed yet he didn’t mind in fact he relished it! He could always be alone with ‘friends’ bothering him. He could always do the thing he liked in his free time.
The most important thing to him was Webtoons! He adored the worlds authors and artists created! His favourite was weak hero. 

One day all his peace changed, in short he died.

'So, that was how I got here ....in this exact situation where guards and police are getting ready to bust open the terrace door. I have about five minutes before they do it. I don't know what is going to happen when they come out here.'
Adam stops thinking about the past and now looks at the door that is now dented. The door is about to come off when Adam sees a fire extinguisher pipe line. He runs toward the pipe and pulls it out. The door opens up and a swarm of police men coming running towards him. He takes the pipe and starts running towards the edge. His heart is beating heavily and he can hear it beating like drums. The sound overlaps everything and the only thing audible to him is the heart beat. He jumps off the building; the policemen peek over for a moment and rush downstairs. 
Adam is falling down and suddenly with jerking motion the pipe stops falling, indicating that there is no more pipe to unroll. Adam starts kicking the window and breaks it. He jumps on the floor and cuts his hand due to the broken glass. Adam gets up and starts running towards the stairs. As he goes down there are policemen coming up the stairs. Adam turns around and starts moving up and opens a door saying storage. He hides in that room until the policemen pass through.
 
Adam leaves the room after a minute and rushes down the stairs, and then exits using the alley door that opens up in the back of the building garage. There are many spectacular vehicles in the building, some branded sports cars like Lamborghinis, Ferrari, and some armoured trucks which seem to be custom made. There are symbols like 'black tech.co. ' on the trucks. Adam goes closer to the trucks and looks at the black window. He looks for the room where the keys to the truck maybe kept and finds one in the far left corner. He punches his ID card while hoping to get in and the door opens up with a buzzing sound while the indicator turning green. Adam grabs all the keys as he didn't know which one was for the truck. He walks back to the vehicles.
He is trying the keys one after the other but none seem to open the door. Then the elevator bell chimps and two officers come out with SMG weapons. They talk on their radio,
"the control said they picked a ping from his card down here."—officer 1.
"man, his ID card could do this much damage ....who knew"—officer 2.
Adam is hiding behind the truck and on the opposite side of the key hole, he turns and finds another vehicle which is looking armoured and is heavy in sight. There are huge headlamp arrays on top of it and a front rammer. Adam tries one of the keys to open the vehicle door. The key doesn't work Adam throws the key is anguish and tries the next key. The door opens with a click, and the cabinet lights up in blue and red neon lights.
Adam gets inside and locks the door, the guards upon seeing him rush towards the vehicle. Adam ignites the engine and the engine revives in wake. The engine roars with slight dust flying around the exhaust pipe in the rear. Adam hits it as hard as He could, the heavy goes forward while hitting one of the guards. Adam turns the wheel and pulls the gear up. The heavy goes forward with higher speed. The heavy breaks through the glass wall while shattering it on the street and Adam turns the wheel right, the heavy makes a hard right. Tires screech the asphalt. Adam looks in the rear mirror and sees a squad of six police cars following him. Adam presses the paddle harder.

A GUY FOUNDS HIMSELF IN A WHITE ROOM. COMPLETELY EMPTY. JUST A WINDOW IN THE CEILING. ALSO, HE HAS NO MEMORY OF WHO HE WAS OR IS. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT? HOW WILL HE GET OUT? HOW WILL HE REGAIN HIS MEMORIES?

"Why should I trust your words?" A snarky voice arose in the room breaking the silence.
Richy looked up and gazed at the woman sitting on the couch with her legs crossed one over the other.
There was a glass of wine in her hand and an annoyed look on her face when she did not receive an answer to her question.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" She derided him and scoffed when he stared at her with his eyes wide open.
Richy bit his lower lip and shook his head, his shoulders slightly slumped with a wronged and aggrieved expression on his face.
If this was Mandy sitting in front of him then surely she would have stopped her harsh words after looking at his sorry and anxious state.
However, the woman sitting before him, the one interrogating him for the past few minutes was not Mandy but her mother, Lucille Rong.
"Madam, I have always been by Young Miss's side so there is absolutely no way that I would snitch about her whereabouts to Miss Lina." He defended himself for the nth time since he had entered this room.
When he had just taken a break after leaving Mandy's room after inquiring about the scream he had heard, he was asked to immediately report to Madam Rong's room by a fellow maid.
Not wanting to get on her bad books, he waved goodbye to his precious break time and made his way to the place where his presence was needed.
The first thing that Lucille had asked of him was how in the hell did Lina know about Mandy visiting Jeanette Liang's house to check on her injury.
Lucille now knew that Lina had deduced that Mandy had gone to meet Jeanette after she was made aware of the clash between the two young women which resulted in one of them being injured.
However, she had planned to make Richy slip up and reveal something new in his panic.
Much to her chagrin, she had not been able to obtain anything useful out of his sealed lips as he just kept repeating the same sentences regarding his loyalty to her daughter.
Lucille was sick of hearing the same words of his complete loyalty for Mandy and decided to make him prove those big words he spoke just now.
"Hmmm…" She hummed in agreement while nodding her head.
Richy's face immediately bloomed when he saw her nod of approval and an angelic smile blossomed on his face.
Lucille rolled her eyes when she noticed his reaction to her hum and smirked thinking of what she was about to say.
"Prove it!" She challenged and then leisurely took a sip of wine from her glass which was close to finishing at any moment.
Richy's victorious smile faded the next second he heard her challenging words and a troubled look covered his face.
Lucille chuckled mockingly when she saw how conflicted he was now that she had asked him to prove the words he had uttered just moments ago.
"So I was right! There was no weight to your words." She mocked him while shaking her head.
Richy panicked for the first time since entering this room as his irises shook and his hands formed fists with much force which in turn embedded his neatly trimmed nails into his palms.
Yet he did not have time to be fussing over his hurting palms, all he needed to do right now was to prove where his loyalty rested.
"How should I prove it, Madam? Give me your command and I shall fulfill it." He requested and looked at her with determined eyes which surprised her.
His answer immensely pleased Lucille but she would never let it show on her face.
The earlier mocking smile remained on her face as she gulped the contents of her glass.
Tilting the glass upside down, she watched the last drops of the dark maroon shaded wine drip and fall to the carpet. 
Instantly staining the white carpet, making it look as though it had been stained by blood.
"Prove it by making Lina's blood spill…" She muttered in a hoarse voice.
"Just like this." She ended her sentence and glanced down at the stain.
Richy's eyes widened when he heard her command and gulped his saliva to ease the pit he felt in his throat but to no avail.
Lucille looked up at him and when their eyes met, he shivered and quickly looked away.
The darkness he witnessed in her eyes was something he had never seen in her before and the eerie sensation he felt at the back of his mind sent shivers running down his spine.
"I need to see the results soon." She ordered and twirled the empty glass in her hand.
Richy could not utter a single word but he had to answer her before she got upset with him, therefore he nodded his head frantically.
Lucille chuckled when she saw his actions and decided that she had her share of fun for the day.
The scary aura around her dissipated and she waved her hand, dismissing him from the room.
"You have your instructions now, so get to work immediately." She commented and her polite and dignified smile which she displayed before everyone else made its appearance once again.
Richy bowed to hide the awe on his face after he saw her auras shift so rapidly.
Just as he was about to turn away, he heard her call his name.
"Here." She mumbled.
The next second the empty wine glass was thrown his way. Thanks to his quick reflexes, he leaped forward and caught the glass before it could fall to the ground and shatter to pieces.
"I will straightaway send a maid to change the carpet, Madam." He reminded her and then rushed out of the room.
Lucille kept her sight fixed on the wine stain and shook her head.
"I wasted a good carpet for that stupid bitch." She muttered and rose from her seat as she headed towards the washroom.
Outside the room, leaning against the opposite wall was Richy with his head lowered as he tried to calm his rapid and shallow breathing.
What he had heard inside was enough to cause his heart to race and he was now having a tough time trying to control his inner emotions.
He looked up when he heard footsteps in the distance and he knew that he couldn't stay here for long.
Clenching the empty wine glass in his hand, he strode in the direction of his dingy bedroom in the servant quarters.
'I need to contact Master to get permission before making my move.' He reckoned and hurriedly entered his room before locking the door shut.
He carefully placed the wine in a plastic bag and knelt near his bed.
He began tapping the floor until he found a hollow spot and skillfully removed the wooden plank following which he stored the bag in it then replaced the plank.
He made sure that the floor looked the same as it did earlier and then walked towards the mirror.
"Why won't master answer my calls? I need his instructions!" He growled and raised his hand to his left ear.
Pressing the diamond earring between his fingers, he began rolling it while taking deep breaths to clear his mind.
This was a coping mechanism that his master had taught him.
It always helped him in such tense situations and kept him away from his vices all these years.
After a few seconds, he opened his eyes and the weak and submissive Richy who was cowering in Lucille's presence had vanished.
The man now staring at his reflection in the mirror had the confidence and charm that was absent in the image he portrayed before others.
"If Master can't instruct me then it looks like I'll have to take matters into my own hands." He lazily sighed and ruffled his hair until they fell onto his forehead giving him a sly yet irresistible vibe.
Not wanting to waste his time, he loosened the tie around his neck and walked to the window then casually peeped outside.
'Forgive me but I have no other choice, Miss Lina.�� He thought as his eyes glanced around the vicinity.
"Clear." He mumbled and the next second, his body leaped out of the window and had vanished from his room.

Inside Lina's room,
After receiving that urgent call from Benji, Lina did not think twice as she rushed back to her room.
Now she was tying her hair into a high ponytail and gave herself a look over in the mirror.
She had changed out of her home clothes and was now dressed in black yoga pants with a midnight blue oversized hoodie that reached her thighs.
Her face was bare with zero makeup and big chunky glasses rested on her nose.
"Stupid Benji, he better have a very good reason for calling me over so urgently!" She scowled and picked up her sling bag.
She shoved her phone, credit cards, cash, and the keys to her car inside her bag and then strode out of the room.
Quickly entering the garage, she glanced around and found the black sedan that Uncle Pat had custom made for her.
This was the same car that Derek drove to take her to and from her office every day.
If she had wished then she could have ordered Derek to drive her to Benji's place but she did not want to disturb him after his work hours and decided to drive the car herself.
Lina walked towards her car and after sitting inside, she held the steering wheel tight in her hands and closed her eyes.
"You'll be fine as long as you take precaution while driving and be slow." She gave herself a pep talk and then opened her eyes to begin her drive to Benji's place.
After her car had slowly moved out of the garage, the figure hiding in the shadows dodged the security cameras with ease and sneaked away.

Then what was her problem? 

Simple. 

She had read way too many novels in her teens causing her brain to function differently. 

The drama and face slapping excited her but the love and tragedy scared her. 

The angst, the drama and the constant and prolonged misunderstandings in them had carved the brain of young Lina Yang to think in a weird way. She constantly tried to relate her situation with those novels and also thought of those that never would happen. 

For a virgin, she thought a little too much about what she would do if she ever got pregnant after a drunk one night stand with a random stranger. 

Always at a conflict with her fantasy world and the reality around her. 

She wants to see the drama around her but hates to be the center of attention. 

She wants to be Kabedon-ed to the wall and fiercely kissed by an evil, possessive CEO type of guy. But at the same time, she thinks of all the sweet innocent MCs whose hearts were broken by the same type. 


She just wanted fluff with a side of excitement while excluding the angst and heartbreak. Is that too much to ask for? 


Will Lina Yang be able to cope with the storm of new changes happening in her life? Will she find love which she always imagined or will she be left heartbroken? 

Only time will tell.

Pinned to the couch, Lina stared upwards at the man whose body was looming over hers.


His eyes roamed across her slender body, pausing for a split second at her heaving chest before focusing on those soft lips which were slightly parted.


“So Miss Yang, I heard that you wished to be kissed fiercely until you are left breathless and dazed.” He smirked as he drew closer to her deeply reddening face.


‘Who the hell snitched about my fantasy!?’ Lina widened her eyes and screamed in her mind.


However, as she watched the nearing face of the man who seemed to be on a mission to fulfill her fantasy, Lina could not help but blush further.


“Just say the word and I can turn your fantasy into reality~” He muttered teasingly and moved closer until their lips were just a hair’s breadth away from each other.


Lina gazed into his dark, enchanting eyes and there was only one thought in her mind.


Angling her head upward, she put her thought into action and successfully captured his lips causing him to freeze in the process.


‘Well, aren’t you a bold one!’ He smirked against her lips after receiving her answer and quickly got to work.

This is my first novel so guys please be patient and understanding. 

The night came and went without a worry in the world.  Jennifer didn't wake from her sleep at all during the night, not even for a second to readjust her position.  Max stayed by her side the entire time and provided her the security and comfort that an justice seeking serial killer on the run needed.  
Derrick ate the dinner, flank steak marinated in a custom spicy sauce and jumbo shrimp breaded with beer battered deliciousness, he prepared for Jennifer and himself.  Both portions were large in size but he had little trouble downing both of them in a single sitting.  Each bit gave him chills, he was a true food aficionado.  
During the night, Jennifer's cell vibrated out, sending a humming sound through the exceptionally quiet condominium.  Derrick took it upon himself to attempt to locate Jennifer's charger but it wasn't to be found.  Her go bag was lacking that crucial piece of equipment and it wasn't anywhere near or on her person.
Derrick did sense she was cold even though the temperature modulated between seventy-two and seventy-six throughout the night depending on the outside chilliness.  He grabbed a cashmere blanket, moved Max's head slightly, and covered the sleeping Jennifer with it.  Not once did he touch Jennifer, nor did he think about it.  He was actually a caring, loving person and was truly happy with himself for helping the Christmas Darling in remaining hidden and safe.
Jennifer awoke to a slobber cover pair of jeans curtesy of Max.  She laughed, "Well, it's better than wine I suppose."  Max lifted his head and smiled a lovely dog smile at her.  He hadn't slept out of his kennel for years.  This was exactly what they both needed.  Freedom and security.  
The Christmas holiday was steadily approaching, meaning Jennifer had to make a decision about which course of action she was going to take.  With all that was happening in her life at the moment, it seemed as if this season's balancing kill wouldn't be taking place.  The police were up her rear end, her Mother requested her to come home to see her Father for his final Christmas, and she was on the run living with essentially a stranger and his dog.  
Derrick popped his head around the corner as the sun painted the condo with streaks of yellow, orange, and pink.  The glass leading to the sun rise graciously accepted the sunlight and converted it into a rainbow of relaxation, "Good morning Jennifer.  Did you sleep alright?"  His hair was slicked down and prepared for a long stressful day of saving lives.
With a prolonged but much needed stretch, "Literally the best night's sleep I've had in years, possibly my entire life."  She patted Max as he was not ready to start his day.
With a quick glance in the mirror and a clearing of his throat, "Well, I've got first shift.  I won't be back until the sun goes back down."  He brushed some dandruff from his uniform shoulder and continued to maintain a locked eye on the mirror, "You'll be on your own.  I left you a key and the alarm code.  Also, your phone was getting notifications all night long.  I took the liberty of charging it for you, couldn't find your charger."
Jennifer peered over at the glass side table.  A piece of torn paper, a key, and a large glass of orange juice waited for her awakening.  The glass was sweating as if it had never held this quantity of fluids before.  The pool it made on the remarkably clean glass table top sent Jennifer into a reminiscent state.  
She's in her front yard, back in Virginia, her Mother keeping a watchful eye on her as she splashed around in a vibrant blue kiddie pool covered with cartoon elephants and lions.  Jennifer remembers slipping and going under the water only to be lovingly yanked up by her arm and rescued by her Mother.  

That basically made her mind up right there on the spot sitting on a paramedic's couch petting his dog.  She had to go home to see her family, to see her Father for his last Christmas.  The kill would have to wait until next year.  You're parents only die once. 
Breaking her daze as gently as possible, "Jennifer, are you going to be okay here?  I want to ask you something but I don't want to upset you."
Derrick leaned down tearing himself from the mirror and got on Jennifer's level, "That night, the night you claimed you were the Christmas Darling, you also mentioned a name...Dobbins.  That wouldn't happen to be Jeffrey James Dobbins, would it?"
This question was violating every rule in the book for her but there was no reason to distrust Derrick now.  He had every opportunity to turn her in, blackmail her, kill her, take advantage of her helplessness, "Derrick, I am the Christmas Darling.  My next target is Dobbins, however, for the first time in nine years I am going to miss my chance to remove that monster from this planet.  Granted, the trial isn't over and he may very well get convicted but..."
With a quick interjection, "Oh no, you haven't heard?  I'm sorry Jennifer.  Dobbins's case was thrown out yesterday.  Some technicality with racial discrimination and a hidden recording of an officer on the scene of his arrest making comments about his wife, she's African American."  
Mr. Dobbins was a Caucasian male, a criminal, that married an easily corruptible African American woman.  Apparently, some mouthy cop had an issue with interracial marriages.  That's all it took to take a case with material evidence and toss it to the gutter for the deprived to pick at as they stumbled by.
Jennifer's eyes welled up, boiling over in a tsunami of regret and despair.  She knew it was her duty to remove this man from the world.  Her life was only worth living because of her creed to balance the scales, "Well, that is upsetting.  He needs to be taken by me.  I need the world to know the Christmas Darling is doing the right thing.  I have the post card filled out and everything already.  I...I have to go home to Virginia.  My Father...he's dying.  I'm leaving tomorrow.  The ticket is already bought and in my possession."
The displeasure was uncanny, Derrick's mind launch an attack of epic proportions, rolling him over with emotions, "Jesus.  Well, I learned a long time ago the hard way.  Family first.  The bad will get theirs.  You can rest assured in that fact."
The day went by quickly.  It was one of those days where you have so much to do that you end up accomplishing nothing.  Jennifer did check her phone, the notifications were about Dobbins, all except one.  It screamed 'Mom'!
Jennifer dialed her Mother, it was almost old people bed time in Virginia.  When the ringing stopped, "Mother?  Are you there?"
With a cracked voice, sleepy and unenergetic, "Yes love, it's me.  How are you?  Are you okay?"
A reassuring laugh rang through the receiver, "I'm fantastic Mother.  I have some good news."
With a rejuvenated inflection, "I love good news Jenny.  What is it?"  Her Father could be heard sawing some serious wood in the background.  He was knocked out before seven o'clock their time.  He must have really been going through the ringer with all the Cancer treatments.
A nervous hesitation crept from Jennifer's throat, "Well, I'm going to come home for Christmas.  I'll be there the day after tomorrow.  I'm coming home Mom."  Jennifer's mind attacked her.  She was immediately entering a state of withdrawals, when the depression meds make you feel so good that you decide you don't need them anymore sort of withdrawals.   
Sobbing bellowed through the phone.  It had been eight, almost nine years since her Mother had seen her, "That's fantastic Jenny.  We'll get a room together for you love."  
It was spoken into the universe.  Jennifer would be going home for Christmas.  The rights and wrongs of this world would be left to their own bidding for this Christmas.  Jennifer fought a deep melancholy state, it consumed her, slowly slicing through her brain and resting deep in her heart.  The tradition, her tradition was over.  
There was little doubt now that she would be caught.  The case would rely on literally no evidence and more than likely result in her freedom but the tradition would die with that freedom.  It had to.  The Christmas Darling would have to put a stop to her very pronounced killings.  Switching to a different less publicized style would only make the moments grow tedious and tiresome.  
The Christmas Darling was being forced into an early retirement but all the right reasons.  Derrick was right, family first, even if you had abandoned them eight years ago and washed yourself clean from their loving grasp.  Jeffrey James Dobbins would get his, that was a certain, but it wouldn't be at the hands and blade of Jennifer.

Jennifer is living an ordinary life in an ordinary place.  She's been away from home for eight years and she has developed her own special holiday tradition.  Each year, Jennifer collects a soul from an unknowing victim.  This year, she's been invited home for the holidays but not for the reasons you may think,  What will Jennifer do this year to celebrate Christmas?

As Ben walked up the steep road that led to the Gatehouse, which was the only way to gain entrance to the top of the plateau, he opened the notices that he had recently received.

'I can't get over how much these numbers have changed from when I was first looked at my status. I believe I my strength was originally at 14 and now it is 57! I am now four times stronger than I was on Earth! It's crazy how things turned out for me. I went from being a guy just out of high school with some construction experience to becoming a cultivator that can use magic who is currently building a fortress on another planet.' 

'For the most part, I am having fun and can't say I am upset over being sent here. I miss my grandparents occasionally and wish I could let them know I am doing well.' 

'If I had a choice to stay here or return to Earth I would stay here without a second thought. I have been given a chance to live a life other people dream about back on Earth and I want to make the most of it!'

Ben reminisced about Earth and everything that had happened since he arrived while thinking, he was currently happy and did not mind how things have turned out for him.

As the corners of his lips rose, Ben strolled through the Gatehouse and down the flat dirt road to his Keep in the distance. 

He could see his people were staying busy while he had been gone. Three women were gathered around a fire pit cooking a large meal for everyone in front of the Keep while a few men stood nearby talking and laughing. Off to his right, there were people traveling to and from the Restrooms and Bathhouse on the street parallel to the one that he was walking on.

When everyone saw that Ben had finally returned from the city they all walked over to greet him. He was pleasantly surprised at the changes they had all gone through. When he had first rescued these slaves they were nothing but skin and bones. They had reminded him of the World War 2 photos of the Jewish people detained in concentration camps that, he was shown in his high school history classes.

They all still had a way to go, but for the most part, their skin color greatly improved and their hair even looked healthier. They were all clean and the dead hopeless look in their eyes was replaced with a spark of happiness.

Ben greeted everyone and told them about his trip and everything he had sold. 

Rayner reported that everything had gone great and they had plenty of food being added daily to the Warehouse. As a matter of fact, they even had a decent surplus of food that continued to accumulate.

Once they had all caught up Ben walked over to the Bathhouse, placed his clothing in an open locker, took a hot shower, and then went to relax in one of the jacuzzis. Leaning back with his eyes closed he began to think about how he would proceed from here.

'The first thing I want to do is build homes for everyone. I am sure they don't mind living in the keep compared to how they used to live, but sooner or later I want to make the upper floors of the keep into my own personal quarters and maybe make some type of assembly room downstairs.' 

'It would be nice to also build a place of entertainment for them. They do not have jobs or anything to do but sit around all day. Again since they were slaves who were worked to death day after day it must be a nice change, but still just sitting around will become boring real quick for them.'

Ben pulled up his Build Menu and began to look through what he wanted to build and what would be needed to unlock those structures. A half hour later he left the Bathhouse and walked south of the keep. He began by first making a stone paved road that ran from east to west across the center of the walled in plateau. 

Now there was a main street that ran from north to south and east to west forming a cross at the exact center of the plateau where the keep was located.

Next, the north to south dirt road was replaced with a stone paver road to match the east to the west road. 

While Ben had the road menu opened, he made an oblong stone-paved road that followed the circumference of the stone walls along with two more stone paved roads that ran from north to south behind the keep.

Now that he had enough roads built for now, Ben could begin to line them with the new structures he wanted to build.

The first structure, he chose, to begin with, was a [Power Plant]. He had the system build it just south of the keep.

[Power Plant]: Provides a power grid for ten miles in every direction at level one from where it is placed. Upgrading can further extend the grid's coverage.

Right next to the Power Plant, Ben built a [Steel Mill] that used the iron from the mine to make units of steel.

When there was finally glass being added to the Warehouse and the Trash Incinerator was built, Ben moved onto building homes for everyone. Even though there were homes ranging from wood shacks up to luxurious estates he decided to go with the [Small House] option for now. 

He needed to make his money go as far as possible. Later on he could always build bigger homes for everyone but for now, the [Small House] sounded like a decent deal for the money.

On second stone paved road west of the keep he went down-the-line and placed twenty-four small houses.

Welcome to Planet Victus! A world of kings, nobles, commoners, cultivators, magi, profound beasts, bandits, and even strange unique monsters who are naturally created through strange occurrences of Mana and Qi blending together.  Each of them all live and fight together in a time that seemed to resemble Earth’s early iron age.
 
Somehow transmigrated to this primitive world, Ben King has nothing but the clothes on his back and the Sovereignty System which speaks to him in a female monotonous voice. 
 
The Sovereignty System will provide Ben with the ability to build an impressive fortress from scratch which, he plans to make use of to secure a defendable home for himself. He is also provided with other ways to increase his strength allowing him to take on anything that this world can throw at him.
 
Will Ben use his system to only build an impenetrable fortress to keep this hostile world at arm's length, or use it for its true purpose to create a kingdom of his own and drag this world out of its stagnant primitive era?
