The system fell silent for a long time. Finally, it said, "Please complete your mission in a normal way. Crowdfunding would cause serious problems for system!" The system seemed a little offended.

"Then it must be very good." Amy looked at Mag expectantly, thinking about the taste which was a hundredfold better than pancakes.
"Yes. Go wash up, change into your sleepwear, and lie in bed. I'll tell you a story after I do the dishes and clean the restaurant." Mag took back his hand.
"Okay." Amy nodded meekly. She climbed down the long-legged chair, squatted on the floor beside the egg, and patted it softly. "Sleep well, ugly duckling, and hatch out quickly," she said in a serious voice. Then she climbed the stairs with some effort on her short legs.
Mag chuckled and took a look at the big egg, feeling a little sorry for the little creature that had been named ugly duckling before it even hatched.
Mag put the dishes in the dishwasher, wiped the 16 tables clean, and mopped the floor. He smiled as he looked at his restaurant that was clean and tidy. He was a little tired, but he felt fulfilled. It could be considered his form of exercise, and he didn't need any employees for now.
When Mag turned off the lights and went upstairs, Amy was already asleep in her purple bear sleepwear. Her beautiful eyelashes were slightly moving, and she looked like a little angel.
Mag put her little hand under the quilt and tucked her in. The little thing seemed very sleepy today.
"System, I want to buy a pair of pajamas, and make sure they have a big brown bear," Mag said in his mind.
"I—"
"I'll pay in cash."
"Your sleepwear is in your wardrobe."
Mag opened his wardrobe. Inside, he found a pair of fuzzy brown pajamas with a big bear on the front.

Mag took a bath, changed into his sleepwear, and walked to the bedroom. He pondered on the crowdfunding campaign. This concept must be beyond the people in this world. Besides, the restaurant has only operated for two days. It's not easy to raise such a large amount of money.
After a while, Mag had a general idea. The customers that came to his restaurant these days could be seen as members of the middle class; they had some money. He had learned some information from their talks.
Mobai was one of the few dwarf craftsmen in Chaos City. His work was worth 1,000 gold coins each. He ate two plates of Yangzhou fried rice three times a day. He liked its taste, and probably also liked its effect on his muscles. He could become a long-term customer.
Habeng and Haga were an orc chief's two sons, responsible for making purchases for their tribe. They were wealthy enough to afford the weapons for their warriors from Mobai, which made Mag think of the police in Dubai, who were equipped with supercars as their patrol cars.
As for Conti, he didn't reveal too much information, but his accessories that he showed casually—except for his donkey—proved he was definitely wealthy, maybe a rich second generation.
He still remembered the elf lady from yesterday. Since she didn't come back, she might not have much money in her pocket, so Mag didn't count her in.
There were still a few others who had come today. Mag didn't know much about them, so it would be too forward for him to ask them. Therefore, he didn't count them in, either.
Mag had made up his mind. He took a look at his sleeping girl, turned off the light, and fell asleep quickly.
After a good night's sleep, Mag opened his eyes in the morning and saw a little girl standing by his bedside. She was looking at him with a pleasant surprise, her little mouth slightly open.
"Our Amy woke up so early." Mag sat up and stroked Amy's hair, smiling.
"Yes. Father's clothes have a bear like mine, and it's a big bear. Amy's bear is small. So it's little bear and her father?" Amy asked as she pointed at the big bear on Mag's sleepwear.
Mag nodded, smiling. "Yes, do you like it?"
Amy threw herself into Mag's arms, rubbed his chest with her face, and narrowed her eyes in comfort. "Yes! I love it! It's so soft and warm."
Mag looked at Amy, who was leaning on his chest like a cat, and felt his heart was going to melt. He played with her for a while before he washed up and went downstairs with her.
When they were downstairs, Amy disentangled herself from Mag, stroked her ahoge, and looked at him. "Other fathers all tie up their daughters' hair. When will you be able to tie my hair, Father?" She pouted.
"Um… I'll learn." Mag scratched his head awkwardly. It was a difficult problem for him. If today's crowdfunding campaign goes well, I'll buy the experience bag for braiding hair first, and then I can do any hairstyles she wants.
"Father, you can do it, I'm sure." Amy clenched her little fist and gave him an encouraging look.
Mag nodded, a little amused. "Thank you."
After he had breakfast with Amy, Mag took some paper and a pen and wrote six identical receipts, with each one being 500 gold coins. Then he checked them again carefully. By then, it was already time to open his restaurant, so he went to the door and opened it.
"Business was good yesterday, Mag." Mobai came here first again. He took a seat at his usual table. "As always, two plates of Yangzhou fried rice," he said, smiling.
Mag nodded with a smile. "It was all thanks to you. Please wait a second."
Habeng and Haga arrived when Mobai had just seated himself. "Mag, we're here again. Five plates each." Then, hoofbeats came from outside.
Mag nodded with a smile, but he didn't walk to the kitchen immediately. He waited until Conti entered. "Since the restaurant has just opened, we have a little trouble with money. So I plan to start a crowdfunding campaign for a new dish. Are you interested?" Mag asked as he looked at them.


In Chaos City on the Norland Continent, there is a strange restaurant.

It was August 13th on Sunday in the fifteenth week of the semester.
It was the third day of No. 60 High's first semester final exams.
It was also the last day of the first semester of Wang Ling's high school life.
That morning, everyone came to school early, and as Wang Ling expected, the topic of discussion revolved around Yang Huai, the infamous therapist who finally got the punishment he deserved.
"One of my uncles said this Yang Huai is truly tragic." Dopey Guo tsked. "I heard that there weren't any vacant cells in prison, so for the time being, he's been placed inside the special prison cell. Can you guess who's in there? The Old Devil! He remembered that two of the four were of a heavy build; their families sent them to Yang Huai's treatment center because they shut themselves away at home and refused to go out.
And the most frightening thing was that they were all Bilibili uploaders.
The first uploader: LexBurner.
This was a heavyweight uploader who was very popular with fans before he was caught and sent to the treatment center. In the last few months, he disappeared off the face of the earth; if Yang Huai's treatment center hadn't been exposed, it was likely that the fans would never have known that their favorite uploader had actually been sent to such a horrible treatment center.
At the same time, LexBurner had been "generating electricity with love"[1] for the longest time, leading to an electrolyte imbalance inside his body and causing him to become obese. Before he entered the treatment center, he had weighed 260 jin – in the end, his electrolytes became even more unbalanced after Yang Huai's electric shock treatment, and he now weighed 380 jin. 
The second uploader: Lord Milk Bottle.
This was an uploader who was caught and sent to Yang Huai's treatment center through crowdfunding by fans because of the "poisonous milk" he spouted in e-game competitions. He relied on milk powder for nutrition, and after he entered the treatment center, he became malnourished after a long time without milk. The fourth uploader: Kidney Overtaxed Bacteria[2].
This uploader's neighbors paid to have him sent to the treatment center. As a professional horror game live streamer, and also the most cowardly of the four, he often screamed involuntarily whenever he live streamed a horror game, and his ultrasonic cries badly affected his neighbors' sleep. And so, Kidney Overtaxed Bacteria, this long-term shut-in, was sent to Yang Huai's treatment center. In the end, Yang Huai himself couldn't take his screaming, and used electric shocks to paralyze this uploader's vocal cords.
Kidney Overtaxed Bacteria was unable to recover from losing his voice for the longest time, and just like that, slipped into a coma. The ultrasonic waves he was no longer able to disperse unexpectedly stimulated the adrenaline in his body, causing his original physique to change. Current weight: 429 jin.
"It was Miss Liu who helped us carry the three heaviest patients: one in each hand, and even one on her head… She's so awesome!" said Yinshi.

It was the voice she could listen to all day, in the past. But now, it was a voice that irked her whole being.

Liya looked at the origin of that voice. Her face void of any emotion. She walked towards her door but stopped before she got too near him.

"It's good that you're here. I had something to tell you."

Zeke felt something was off but he just shook it off. "Okay, I also have to give you your birthday gift. I couldn't give it yesterday because you suddenly disappeared." He showed a helpless smile while taking out a small box from his pocket.

Liya didn't want to prolong anymore and emotionlessly said, "I want to break up." shocking him.

"What? Why? Did I do something wrong? Liya, let's talk about this ok? I love you. Don't leave me."

She had to say, she was impressed. His face showed genuine hurt and worry. If she didn't know better, she would've believed him.

She frowned. "As a parting gift, I'll give you a piece of advice. Don't say something you don't mean. You won't know when some of your lies will come back to bite you."

She entered her condo, leaving behind a speechless Zeke.

Nothing beats the feeling of munching on your comfort food while wearing an oversized shirt. Ahh, so comfortable. Eating without minding how awkward your posture is sure is the best thing. Oversized shirts hide everything, insecurities included.

She rolled her eyes at her own thoughts. She didn't even have anyone to hide from. Not that she minded though.

She waltzed back towards her bedroom, sat on bed leaning on its headboard and turned on her laptop. She then began to search for news regarding stocks and cryptocurrency while munching on her food. She didn't know the exact details but she had a rough remembrance which ones rose to success. Few looks at the lists, that's all she needed.

Carefully picking out one from both stocks and cryptocurrency, Liya invested $1 million on each. She didn't bother waiting for a price drop and just bought at the current market price. If things go the way it did, in her past life or in her dream, then she only had to wait 2-3 months if she remembered correctly.

The shares and coin she chose were owned by two completely different companies but partnered after.

SwiftCard Inc., a not so popular financial services company that only had a several banks under them, was planning to launch their cryptocurrency coin SwiftCash on October. In the year 2000s, global money transfer still had a lot of room for improvements. To say it was slow was sugarcoating it. It took days to withdraw from one's online wallet to their bank account. That was why SwiftCash's aim was what people exactly needed.

SwiftCard Inc. held a 3-month long online crowdfunding from June until August. During these period, they pre-saled SwiftCash. They'd then use the money from pre-sales to finally start on their platform.

But SwiftCard Inc. being just a medium-sized company, and not as big as their rival companies Maester and Onebank, their set goal for crowdfunding wasn't met. Only a bit more than a third of the total number of SwiftCash was sold.

Nevertheless, SwiftCard Inc. still persisted. What they lacked in funds was provided by the CEO himself, taking from his own wallet, his life-savings nearly depleted. People even criticized the CEO and SwiftCard Inc. because the whole thing was too big of a risk. If it flops, they'd be bankrupt.

SwiftCash was launched as planned on September. They achieved their goal: money transfer in seconds. But it wasn't as successful as they wished. Most of their clients were only from the middle-class. Rich people didn't need to "receive" and poor families didn't have money to "send". Some people also cannot be bothered to switch banks. Their project wasn't a flop, but it wasn't a success either.

It went on for almost a month until they partnered up with a popular video-sharing company, Vidz.

Having been through something as unbelievable as being reborn, it mattered not even the tiniest bit to her how it happened. Only one thing was on her mind:

"Jacob, you should only kiss someone's lips if you want to marry the person. So from now on, Mommy's lips only belong to me. Understand?" Axel explained to the little child, his tone was serious but his eyes contained mirth.

Jacob nodded. "Got it, Daddy!"

"Save your lips for the right girl, alright?"

"Okay, Daddy! I'll keep it in mind."

"Good boy." Axel praised him and the little kid earned another pat on his head.

Though he was immensely impressed on the inside, Luther still scoffed and walked away as if he didn't notice it.


Since she was in a good mood today, Su Lin couldn't help but smile.


This guy's reactions were getting more and more comical every single day.


She patiently waited for a couple more weeks and when the preorder numbers hit a thousand, she canceled all the preorders out of nowhere.


There was immediately a huge uproar on her website.

"Of course." Su Yun seemed to have completely missed the sarcasm, running his fingers through his hair and presented himself stoically.

After they had cleaned up, Zheng Ren returned to his office and proceeded to cuddle up against the Sciences of Hepatopancreatobiliary book, ready to take a nap in the on call room.
"Hey, whether you could pull it off or not, you have to at least say something." Su Yun was face-to-face with Zheng Ren, but since being described as 'beyond awful', Su Yun proceeded to interrogate the latter bluntly.
He was truly an uninteresting person.
"I will try. Not a single person would be confident operating on late-stage cancer," Zheng Ren replied, meeting Su Yun's stare and adding, "Only under a high-intensity MRI scan can we determine how far the cancer had progressed. After that, comes the problem of medical fees."
"Between me, the Chu sisters or that robotic nurse, none of us are in desperate need of money," Su Yun replied passionately.
"If you want to solve the problem and need a lot of money, you'd need to start a huge crowdfunding campaign." Zheng Ren's statement was cold. "We're only able to save those who can afford it."
