Since there was sufficient irrefutable proof, the man would be given the death penalty, so he didn't have much to complain about. 
Hence, he had Flynn send Xia Hanchen back to B City. 
The man and his daughters were so happy to reunite that they spent a whole week celebrating. 
Madam Jiang decided to remain silent about Lanni's alias. If everyone found out that it was a fake identity, she would handle the matter. If no one bothered about it, it would be the best outcome. 
A few weeks later, on 19th December,Xing Han was sentenced to death while all his accomplices—including Old Master Feng and Feng Ci—were sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Lanni called Xiehan over to have a few drinks together. 
"I've gotten quite used to this apartment. I don't know whether or not I should go back home." She sighed, massaging a glass of red wine in her hand.

Cheng Yu was flattered. "Luna, you are exaggerating. The app is already so great that no matter what comic was used, it would still gain millions of new users." 
Luna had a pleased smile on her face as she took up her Ipad to continue reading the comic. It was not just because Cheng Yu was her friend that she was reading it. The comic, "Falling in love with a heartless devil", was so addictive that she could barely put her Ipad down. The concept of the story was original and the art was perfect. It was currently the most popular comic on the app with readers always bugging her for the next update. 
Talking of the next update, Cheng Yu yawned and stretched her limbs. "I'll go and take a nap now. When I wake up, I'll start drawing the next episode." 
"Go ahead." Luna smiled. Finally, they both had a source of income. It had jist happened at the right time since Cheng Yu's training period at Star Art International was drawing to a close. The girl would have more time to focus on her comics and the studio. 


"Little troubleshooter, we meet again. If you are still thinking of trying to get away, you better give up that silly idea." Ji Xiehan said, pinning her against the wall.

 Li Lanni pushed her fists against his chest. "Is this how you say ‘Hi’ to all your interviewers, Mr. Ji?" 

"There is no interviewer and certainly no interviewee." The man grinned devilishly. "There is only a husband and a wife. My darling, how are you going to compensate for all the emotional damage you caused me by slipping away?" 

"What?" Heavens... just what had she gotten herself into?

The Mayans were wrong about 2012 or so we thought. When the world kept rotating humanity had a great laugh, made a few corny Hollywood hits and went on throughout their daily lives. 
However, there was always a sign telling humanity it was coming, we constantly fantasized about an apocalypse to the point that we no longer feared it. Some of the looneys actually welcomed the thought with open arms. Preppers bought their land and learned to make and store their own resources with the intent of holding out. Under or above ground, it didn't matter. There was no copy and paste survival plan, everyone had their own theories and only some of them were close to the truth.
Most of these people were either considered living in fear or crazy, of course they don't seem as crazy now with the world falling apart compared to those who were just the month before trying to out show their neighbor with expensive holiday decor. 
The elite were the worst of them all, they were the quiet believers. While channeling secret funds to their luxurious bunkers they even pushed the norm on the rest of the world so that they could be prepared for their escape but not startle the daily hustle and bustle that paid for it. 
Too bad for them, no one expected this, as if the asteroid was called from earth herself no man was safe. No amount of money nor skill could change their odds; there was a disease within us, a dormant one that resided in our genetics. 
While the world masked up and overused the hand sanitizer because of a virus that they thought was spreading like wildfire. We had no idea it was only the asteroid getting closer. Though mankind is a striving species to a fault, relying on science yet again, another miracle vaccine was created just in time for Christmas.  
The "ARK" vaccine, what it was called at the time, now the remaining world calls it the 40 vaccine. For irony purposes of course if you know the Christian story, it's terrible we know but shedding a small amount of dark humor goes a long way nowadays. If you're lucky it can even gain you a can of green beans, (I'm so sick of the green beans.) But it's also called this because it took at least forty hours after the asteroid passed for things to really start to change.
Then we found out that the ARK vaccine was not strong enough to fully withstand the effects of the asteroid. While millions who were un-vaccinated slowly lost their ability to breath and passed on, the vaccine did keep many more millions from fully reaching death's door. Usually this would be a good thing if it weren't 2021. The vaccine carried the undesirable genetic disease within so even if you didn't carry it before, you do now and you were affected by the asteroid. 
Turns out the side effects for those vaccinated was a less than appealing mutation, spastic high pitched screaming that almost only dogs could hear and a uncontrollable bite. Just bite though, we don't think they actually eat people but then I don't think anyone is sick enough to stand by and watch. 
But hey, at least they are not dead… Says no one.
Don't get me wrong, I mourn those who lost their lives after the first of January but in my own way. Because I have been too busy just trying to stay alive, imagine that in an apocalypse, there is no time to stop and smell the roses. 
You see, I'm from a small area and I didn't see the point in getting vaccinated when I almost never left my house. I had a nice one bedroom apartment where I worked and paid my bills from. I tested video games, wrote reviews, and slept all day for a living. It was great, I loved my life. I was a threat to no one in the spread of this virus even if I caught it, which I couldn't because I didn't carry it at all in my genetics but that's besides the point now. 
My friends however, they either vaccinated up or claimed to have already had the virus once so they were golden because they were not going to miss the biggest event to kick off the new year. Since all the comic-cons were cancelled throughout the year due to the virus, now that the vaccine was out, they were doing a large new year celebration. Bringing out all the big guns for all the gaming and cosplayers delights in one place, it was going to be like Christmas... I bet you already guessed where, yep New York and not too far from Times Square. 
 Needless to say, I was convinced by multiple friends to go along. They mostly tempted me with the presence of a beautiful girl. She was a fellow gamer/ reviewer who never showed her true identity. She promised she would partake in this room-share with the small group I was friends with online. I'll admit, it was easy to get me out of my nice small apartment for new years after I received a message from her questioning if I would go. 
I had quite the crush on her even though I knew nothing about her real life. I just couldn't get this girl out of my mind and it wasn't because I was shy with women in real life nor, in my opinion, unattractive. But I really liked this girl, we got along like old friends when we talked in the private discord group and I enjoyed when we played online together. We were really compatible on a team and I was anxious to meet her in person and my friends knew this. 
So I flew to New York, found out it was 8 players in a one room with not enough beds, oh it was a blast. Except comic-cons don't last only one night so once people began to get sick, the small room arrangement became the worst possible nightmare I could have ever imagined. 
Eight players rented a room and only- Wait I'm getting ahead of myself, so allow me to share my story from the first day when the earth began cleansing itself of mankind.

When a slow moving asteroid counts down the clock with the ball as it fly's over head. It leaves behind a trail of death and destruction. Matt must find a way back to get out of the city and stay alive.

Evan thought he was finally making progress with Rylee. They laughed, joked, she even agreed to go on a date sometime. On all accounts, he should be elated. 

But one wrong word and she withdrew, climbing back into her shell. 

Evan took her to the doctors, she got cleared to have her stitches removed, and when she was free of the chair, she politely asked to go home. 

No board game, no staying longer. Game over.

After dropping her off, Evan drove home, feeling bewildered. He tugged at his brace and wanted to blame something for messing things up. Maybe she only said she would go out to spare his feelings? What if he misread her actions all along? What if she secretly hated his cooking? He sat on the couch, staring at an empty TV screen until Zane arrived.

"Who died?" His friend remarked, dropping into a seat and handing him a bottle of cola.

"Girls are confusing," Evan admitted. 

Zane burst into laughter. "I should have known. What happened?"

"I asked her out, she said okay. We talked, she got depressed and left," Evan summarized. 

Zane leaned back and rolled his eyes. "What did you mention that set her off?" He dug.

"We were talking about careers—"

"And there's your mistake."

Evan was stunned. Zane elaborated, "She works two jobs. She barley makes enough to pay her bills. Her family is all out of state, and she's been on her own since her looser X dumped her. She meets you, and you are absolutely killing it with your artwork. That's a lot for her to handle."

"But she was fine before," Evan groaned, hitting his head against the couch. "So, talking about careers intimidates her?"

"I wouldn't say intimidates, more like, depresses her," Zane decided. "But that's still not a great sign. 

"I think if you're interested in romance, avoid some of the time bombs in the mean time. Don't ask about the X, don't ask about the art, focus on things that make her happy. She likes you enough to go out sometime! Isn't that a win?"

"You weren't here when she left," Evan felt he was too old for this type of heart to heart, but he needed some reassurance. He had a few flings in high school, but nothing super serious. He was not ready for this level of relationship. 

Rylee felt, fragile. Like a bird that would fly away if you moved too soon. He just wanted to get closer without scaring her. Unfortunately, he was already screwing it up.

"Okay, we can do damage control. There is movie coming out she's been dying to see. You know, dogs at home when their owners are away, cute cartoon. We drag Tara and her out, get back to basics. Minimize the chances for you to put your foot in your mouth."

Evan glared, "Thanks."

"You're welcome. You will come to appreciate my direct approach. Oh and you're paying, by the way, since I've seen your PatronPower and I KNOW you have more spare change than I do." 

Evan didn't argue. He pulled out his phone and opened his favorite forum, desperate to relax. As he navigated to the thread with FallenSparrow, he had a new understanding for the romance they were creating. At first he felt a little embarrassed writing something sappy like this, but it felt nice now digging into those intense emotions. Seeing Rylee hurt helped him understand his characters motives. He found it easy to use those emotions to progress their role play.

Zane noticed his attention shifting, and stood up to hunt for food. While Evan typed, he scrutinized the mess left from the hamburgers. At least Evan had the forethought to put the leftovers away... "Don't mind if I do," Zane smirked, and started heating a patty for himself.

When he returned, Zane watched his friend writing in silence. After talking with Anna, he felt confident in his choice to play matchmaker. So why did it now seem so difficult? Honestly, he should have known. In college, Evan was always bad with girls. He laughed easy, used his good looks to charm them, but lacked the EQ to realize they were attracted to him. The breakthrough with his comic hadn't helped. Evan wouldn't say it, but he was cautious with relationships now, as if expecting someone to like him for the wrong reasons. 

Despite the fact that Evan's name was listed in the creator section, few people paid attention to that. It had given Evan freedom to be normal. He would always say that the comic was famous, not him. But each convention threatened to change that. Recently, management companies started contacting him. The emails had their own folder, and Zane would catch him comparing fees and reviews. Drawing a comic was one thing, but planning a future was becoming a different struggle. There were other things to consider like branding and merchandising. 

On the one hand, he needed to plan his career.

On the other, he was just a young adult trying to figure out how to work things out with a girl he liked. 

Zane finished his hamburger, formulating a plan. It would involve being a third wheel on a number of occasions, but really, could they manage without him at this point? Evan could handle the business side of things. 

Romance? That was where he needed a wing man.

Rylee was a college student with her dreams spread out before her. She was engaged to her best friend, pursuing her passion for art, and couldn’t wait for the future. But everything came crashing down when he departed, leaving her heart and her wallet empty. 

Despite the pain of betrayal, she tried not to loose hope. Putting her plans on hold, she was forced to focus on a 9-5 work cycle, secretly wondering about the ambitions she shelved in the process. The occasional artist alley table was not enough to fulfill her longing to do what she loved, and importantly, to find REAL love.

Everything changes as she grows closer to an online friend. Late night role playing adventures turn into long conversations, and his encouragement spurs her to return to forgotten projects. Meanwhile, she meets a famous artist, who makes her want to give love another chance.

Could it be, this love story, would be hers this time?

I get a notification of a review saying that I delete bad reviews on the cover page and when I go to my cover page, there were only 12 reviews and this new one didn't show up on that page. I waited around 12 hours to see if it was something about the website that caused this delay but the review still didn't show up on the page so I decided to post that review here and answer a couple of things mentioned there.
And I think it's important to explain to readers before reading this is not a rant about a bad review. It's just a mishap happened and I take the opportunity to explain some staff might stayed too vague in the novel.

As for my answers for this review:
1. Mc can create and train his own skills and spells. Like sword mastery and later on, he creates the Fire tendril and many other fire spells but since fire magic skill created all fire-related and mana consuming skills stays under that part and I don't specifically mention them as individual spells so I won't dumb too much unnecessary information on a random point of a chapter when I tried to explain something else in that episode. 
Another part of this answer is Arthur only learned about how to use mana a month ago. I don't like fanfic like mc reincarnated to became someone like Goku or Ichigo and in their first day of a new world after 10 minutes of meditation, they learned to how masterfully manipulate the energy type of that verse. Authors of this novel usually set these characters' backgrounds into a normal world  (just like I did ) with no mana, no Qi, no chakra, no reiatsu or reiryoku. After coming to a new world these characters suddenly able to recreate skills they saw in the show without actually knowing how they work.
Like fireball jutsu in Naruto, you do some hand signs and yell fireball jutsu.... and here you mastered a  C-rank Jutsu without knowing the correct pathway of how much chakra should be pushed out of body following 360 chakra coils locating inside of your body.
As for why Arthur did buy the fireball skill for 50 coins instead of trying to recreate a progress he has no idea of, so he might just blow off his arm trying to cast the damn thing. That's why he buys spells from the store. He has no one to teach him like how a master mage like Lolikiano Mistrim reached Han-jihan in the original series.
2, The reason why bloodlines like " Kryptonian" and " Saiyan" are cheaper than this system is because they have limits.
Kryptonians other than superman(Clark Kent) mostly stuck in power levels around < Solar System ( Explained in auxiliary chapter 1) >. Supermans(can reach universal and above) origin depends on the creators writing his comic book. Some say he genetically designed to become the apex specimen of his species by taking the most prominent features of the most prominent people of the Kryptonian race. Some other writers say he is the only naturally born child without any genetic alterations in krypton in thousands of years. So he is relatively purer on the genetics side( like a High Human - High Kryptonian comparison) and the Kryptonians have a whole pantheon full of gods lead by a man named Rao.( The being that gave Arthur his power mentioned how gods limit their creation's power levels so they cant surpass them.)
On Saiyan's side, according to their lore around 10,000 battle power is mostly the peak level of their race. The people like Goku, Vegeta, and Broly are exceptions in this race. Goku trained in martial arts from an early age by some of the greatest martial artist and teachers of the Dragon Ball verse like Son Gohan( His human adopted grandfather from the original show aired before Z and Super), Muten Roshi, Korin, Kami, King Kai( who has been teaching heroes of heaven possibly millions of years) Yadrath Elder, and Whis. On Vegeta's side, he was said to be the greatest genius of their race, and from a young age, he was fighting against warriors of different races that were trying to save their home planet from destructions He improved himself over deadly battles. Lastly, on Broly's side, he is the true apex of the Saiyan race in every aspect he stuck in a world and surrounded with the constant hostile environment that needed him to evolve to survive and he is taught by his father paragus who is shown as one of the more powerful Saiyans in planet vegeta.
What I'm trying to say is just because you get a normal bloodline of these races doesn't mean you can reach the levels of these people., but if you have the gamer ability only thing you have to do is grinding, there is no limits for how many stat points you can get with training unlike, there is no limit to how much knowledge you can obtain and use how many different skills you can have.
3, I didn't delete anyone's review or comments. This doesn't mean everybody who read my novel liked it. It means most of the people don't like it just didn't bother to put a review.
4. Yes, there is only one bad review, and it's written in Spanish but I personally translate it to English and post it on the comments section of that review six days before I got the user FrightKnight88's review notification.
5, Lastly I didn't understand whose worries should be addressed but if you (FrightKnight88) mean the readers, I answer the people who have posted their questions whether if it's in paragraph comments or in the regular comment section at the end of chapters. The rest of the comments are just people leaving their opinions on those sections, I don't think that parts needs a reply from me.
If you mean my worries. Those parts what I call plot holes. After creating them, I came back to those problems after like 10 or 15 chapters and fixed them. to me, that's how character and story progression works.
This is a slow progression novel, the main character will keep growing throughout the story. Arthur you read at the start of the novel and Arthur you will read in the final chapter will not be the same person.
