Apparently skittles are not only safe to consume for vegetarians but also vegans. Once upon a time they contained gelatin, but it has since been removed from the ingredients list. Although they taste pretty good and are safe to consume for vegans, that doesn't make them healthy. They don't really provide any health benefits and apparently the food coloring used, for example Red 40, can actually cause some undesirable side effects like hyperactivity in children, allergies, hypersensitivity and may even lead to cancer. Another type of food coloring, yellow 5, can cause allergic reactions which may then trigger asthma. 

But too be honest pretty much anything and everthing is unhealthy in some way since that's just how life is. Even if you live in a place like Germany where the tap water is safe to consume, the pipes that bring it might just contaminate the water since it's not feasible to change them every few years. 

No matter what item you pick there is always a negative impact caused by it. If you want a pencil that pencil has to come from somewhere. If it was produced in a factory, that factory most definitely produced pollution. To get the materials for the wooden part you have to chop down a whole tree. Now that isn't quite efficient, but if you just want a single pencil, you would need to chop down a tree since I couldn't find any pencils made of bark online. Now those are just a few of the problems you'll notice at a single glance and each of those problems can and will cause a chain reaction of more problems. The chopping of a tree for example would mess up the ecosystem in numerous ways.

    Might as well get this over and done with now Merryweather has been an avid author and writer of numerous webcomics all the way back in 2012. In fact, he got his start in a Danish convention called Genki where he asked for the help of various artists before finally getting a yes from a future friend named Joakim Waller. As someone who is also aspiring to be a writer, I can relate to his drive and competence in writing multiple stories. In particular to this specific webtoon however it should be known that the artist's name is Mayui who does have a twitter and apparently also likes singing, dancing, and voice acting.


    Summary


    Everyone and their mother seems to be talking about the newest hit game that is sweeping the nation: Magnolia Online. What everyone doesn't tell you is that the game is a hotbed of toxic activity with one certain guild being at the center: Winter Moon. This is the story about how this group of rambunctious rebels made their mark on for better or worse. It may be a game to some but their connections to each other are plenty real, even if they don't always show it.


    Characters


    Florence: In real life, Florence is the son of a wealthy Ceo who refuses to acknowledge his homosexuality. Thus to escape this reality Florence became a pyromaniac that is unforgiving to just about anyone. Though after meeting Risa Florence's righteous and protective qualities come more into the open.


Risa: Growing up as a weak girl that was never taken seriously, Risa is a girl who has always had to fight. In the game, she uses her weakness as a strength to manipulate people out of their money. However, as time goes on she starts to develop her confidence both in and out of her 2 worlds.


Gideon: The only one with actual sense Gideon is Florence's only friend in both the game and real life. His stoic nature and intelligence is pretty much the only reason why the guild is even still alive.


Overview


Even amongst the various artists that Merryweather has worked with, Mayuu is my personal favorite. Her art really does feel like some concept art out of a game and it really shows. The coloring and shading are always excellent as it gives a lot of panel life. Like any story of this genre, Winter Moon shows the highs and lows that come from the game. Cyberbullying, online stalking, harassment, and trickery are all themes that the webtoon explores. But it also shows the wonders of such an online community, because it brought Winter Moon together as friends. Combine all that with the very short chapters and this series is highly binge-able. And while our mc's do come off as unlikeable they do have their moments of levity that make them enjoyable and relatable with their development shining through.


Epilogue


Overall Winter moon is one of the premier webtoons of Merryweather for a reason. It's a story about showing that even the most trivial of activities can have meaning to you. It's a story that shows how judgemental the world really is and how important it is to live freely. As COVID 19 continues the rage I think that message really does ring true. But this is only the first of Merryweahter's great works, stick around as I decided to shine a light on another one.

Just a simple person is trying to shine a little light on the beautiful world of webtoon. With a splash of sarcasm, narration, and spitfire along the way.  And who knows I might have other segments just for the hell of it.

"Alright let's go get a snack," I say, smiling after we pick up the superhero room.

"Wow I've never seen anyone get so involved with the kids," Sally's dad says, walking beside me while holding her hand.

"Well they need the interaction. I'll allow them to be independent but you still need to participate with them," I say, leading everyone back to the classroom.

"Well it's very great to see," he says smiling.

"Thank you sir," I say, smiling back. "Oh I don't believe I ever got your name sir."

"My name is Sam Williams," he says, smiling.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Williams," I say.

The rest of the day is filled with lessons, lunch, naps, playtime, coloring, and lot's of hyper kids. I smile and wave bye to the students and lock up the school building. No one scheduled babysitting services today so I take the time to walk home. I take school online which allows me to teach at the elementary school, and I don't have a lot of friends. I don't really mind though since I'm not the most social person in the world anyway.

"Y/N! You're finally home!" my friend Ally calls from my doorstep.

"How long have you been there?" I ask Ally.

"An hour," she says, smiling.

"An hour?! Why were you waiting here that long?!" I ask, exasperated.

"It was the only place I felt like being," she says shrugging.

"Oh Ally," I say shaking my head and unlocking my front door, allowing her inside.

"Your parents out of town again?" she asks, raiding my fridge.

"Yeah," I say, setting down my bag.

"You've gotta be the luckiest kid ever," she says.

"Haha, hardly," I say, smiling and stealing one of the puddings from her that she pulled out.

"Whatevs. So you wanna come to a party with me?" she asks, tossing me a spoon.

"Can't. I've gotta work tonight," I say, opening the pudding.

"Come on Y/N! You always have to work," she complains, rolling her eyes.

"Well I have a really good job along with being a teacher," I say, chuckling.

"You need to live a little," she complains.

"I do live. Just on my own time," I say, poking her with the spoon handle.

"Whatevs Y/N. Can't you take a break for me?" she asks, pouting.

"Ugh, fine. Will there be alcohol?" I ask her.

"Duh," she says.

"Then no. I can't afford to have my name ruined," I say, washing my dishes.

"But Y/N!" she says, exasperated.

"I need the job at the school Ally. So my answer is no," I say firmly.

"Fine. If you change your mind here's the address!" she giggles leaving a piece of paper on my kitchen counter and running out.

"I'm not going," I grumble, rolling my eyes and going to my office where I take my online classes for four hours before heading to my room and jumping onto my computer. "Let's see. Today let's draw Slenderman."

I froze when I heard some bad comments at me. I chuckled, they're right I'm lack of height. 

I look at our professor and shooked my head, "Prof I really don't want to join—

"Prof! Zadie and I will join the pageant. She will prove everyone that she can win despite of being small!" he cut me off and pointed at our classmates. He stood beside me and smiled. "Guys, she may be small but I know she's terrible right dwarf?"

I really hate that 'dwarf' thing!

"Hey! what are you doing?" I whispered while smiling at our prof whose looking at me. He just ignore my question and pinch my cheeks instead. Argh! He's getting into my nerves! I badly want to punch him right now. Grrr! 

"She's cute right prof? We'll surely join the pageant, prof." he uttered. I bitted my lower lips to hold my anger and secretly pinch him in his waist. "A-a-ah!" 

"Prof! I'm sure we will win the online voting! I'll be the one who will managed that." Levi added. He also pointed his fingers to our classmates. "I hope you guys vote for this two." 

"Well, it seems like everything is going well. Goodluck to the both of you and I don't want to be disappointed about you guys, you must do you best alright?" Our prof said before leaving. I grab the chance to break Cloud's arm. I quickly get his arm out of my shoulder and twisted it. 

"A-a-ah! F-fvck! Zadieeee!" 

"Endure it, you punk! This is your fault! I already told prof that I don't want to join that fvcking pageant!" I answered and twist it again. Our friends immediately run towards us and pulled us. 

"Don't be a killer joy, Zad! We will be the one who will managed all. The online voting, the photoshoot, even your clothes. I'm sure James' sister has a lots of clothes you might wear—

"Nah, I don't think my lil sis will. She's also a candidate for the upcoming pageant bro." James cut him off. I pout and sat at my chair. What should I do now? 

"Cass will also join? I'm wondering what will be her reaction if he knew that Cloud is also a candidate." Klein said and smirk. For your information, Cassandra, James' lil sister is Cloud's ex-girlfriend. After two or three months they broke up but I don't know why. I don't even care. 

"Babe for your information, Zadie is one of the good-looking and fashionista in our university. I don't think she need a help from Cass." Denise uttered. She was Levi's girlfriend for five years. Actually, some are admiring them. They have been together for five years and it's rare. Both of them are very lucky. 

"Cassandra is also known for being a fashionista, Denise." against her by Camille. 

"Let's believe her, I know this dwarf—a-a-ah! I mean Zadie can do it!" Cloud uttered. I just rolled my eyes and left the room first.

"Ms. and Mr. HU, we will start the photoshoot!" Sharmaine announced, the president of the student council. She's the one who manage the pageant that held in one day. 

"Pst! Do you know how terrible it looks when your face is ugly and you are frowning on top of it?" Cloud said irritably and put his hand over my face. 

"Stop it!" I shout and shooked his hand. I don't even know if his hand are clean or what. I walk towards the mini forest where the photoshoot will held. 

There are total of forteen candidates who joined the pageant. Seven boys and seven girls. I agreed with others except for Cass. She really hate me and as well as me. 

"Pft! It's so funny! She's too small for this pageant right?" I heard from Cassandra's friend who does her makeup. 

"I know right, girl!" 

"She is less suited to Cloud! What a flirt!" Cassandra uttered that made me rolled my eyes. She's so irritating! 

I just ignored them and faced Denise who does my makeup. "I don't like thick make up, Denise. I don't want to be a clown like Cass. Just make it simple." 

The photoshoot started and the boys came first. I decided to watch and peeked at Cloud. 

"Hi Zadie!" Cass greeted and stood beside me. She also watching the boys on their photoshoot. "Are you sure with this? You can still back out." 

I automatically raised an eyebrow because of what she said. "Seems like you don't want me here," I answered while looking directly at Cloud. I don't want to see her face look like a coloring book. 

"Not really, what I'm saying is you don't fit in here." 

"Is that so? As if I care, bye coloring book!" I answered and smirked. I left her there frowning. I walk towards Cloud after he finish the photoshoot. 

"Ts, it looks like you fought again, hm?" he uttered while looking at Cass' direction. "I already told you, don't fought—

"Are you concern with her? Argh! Whatever! Don't worry, I didn't hurt her Mr. Cloud Toxillo!" I cut him off and left. 

"Zadie, you want to go first?" Sharmaine asked so I nod. I smiled and pose at the camera in different angle. "Nice job, Zad!" 

"Thank you!" I answered and bow at her. She showed me my shots. Cloud also look for it and smirked. 

"What do you think guys?" Sharmaine asked. She also take a shot of me and Cloud wothout our permission that made me shock. "You really look good together guys!" 

"Of course, a handsome and hot guys like me—

"Aish! You are so boastful, tsk let's go!" I cut him off and pulled him towards the booths here in our university. "Your treat?" 

"Aish, as expected, you always like a treat." he said and shook his head. I just laugh and buy some foods like fishballs, kikiam, squidballs, etc. "H-hey! That's too much!" 

I chuckled, "Pineapple drink, please."

"Chocolate milk and french fries, please." he pleased. After we get our foods, we eat it together when some students appoarch us.

"Sure!" Cloud answered and hold her phone to take a picture. I smiled at the camera.

"You're welcome," I answered and continue eating while Cloud is chatting with someone.

"The online voting will start soon, maybe after they edit our photos," he uttered and bite his french fries.

"Awards? Maybe rank 3? I have no clues about the special awards but I'm sure it has." he answered so I just nod.

'I heard you joined the pageant? Do ypu need some help, my child? I can talk to our relatives to help you for online voting so you can win.' 

After reading that I immediately put the cellphone back in my pocket and continued eating.

"Who's that? Your textmate?" Cloud asked. I just ignored him and read Mr. Villin's another message.

I ate the french fries I was holding and replied to him. I can't remember when I last called him daddy. I prefer Mr. Villin than Dad and I used to it. 

'Thanks, but no thanks Mr. Villin. I can handle it all by myself.' 

"Who's that?" 

I immediately off my phone ad glared at him. "Nothing, let's go."

"Okay guys! Remember, this printed shirt and black jeans will be you outfit for the intro. It's up to you on how will you wear it." Sharmaine announce after we finished our rehearsal. Time goes quickly, the pageant will be held tomorrow. "Don't forget you casual wear, and gown for question and answer portion." 

"That's all for today, Goodluck guys!" she added before leaving. We greet each other and cheer goodluck. After that I immediately walk towards our classroom and sat in my chair. I sighed and put my head to the desk. 

"Zadie, do you already have anything to wear?" I heard Denise asking while tapping my back. She was not satisfied yet and tapped my head. "Hey! Zadie, do you hear me!?" 

"I did!" I answered irritably and faced her. "About my clothes, I can't pick one." 

"Seriously?! Of all the people I know who will participate, you are the only one who is not excited!" she replied. 

I just sighed and pressed my head to the desk. I want to sleep, I'm so tired. 

"Aish, fine! Just text me later and I'll be the one who will choose your outfit." 

"O-okay," 

"Damn it! This girl really...What about your gown?" she asked. I took my phone out from my pocket and show it to her. 

"I used that when I was on my 18th birthday," I uttered. It was just a simple brown and black sleeveless gown. 

"It's beautiful, but I also see Cass' gown and it's so beautiful! Dark blue gown and it's like a tube here," she explain while constracting what she have seen. "There is also a—

"Zadie! Cloud! Have you seen this!?" Levi called us and run towards our direction. Denise quickly grab his ipod he was holding on. "Where is Cloud?" 

"He's with Klein and James, what is it?" I uttered. I also look on his ipod, it was our photoshoot and—what the hell!? 

"Is this true babe?!" Denise asked in shock. 

"Of course, I also can't believe it but it's all true." he answered and smirked. "I told you guys, I can managed it all alone!" 

"Look Zadie, 11k reacts for you and 13k reacts for Cloud! This is amazing!"

"That's nice!" Klein commented and sat beside me. He reached my hand and gave me a high five but I did not like him messing with my hair. "This dwarf is so amazing, right?" 

I glared at him, how dare him to call me a dwarf? He is only 5 inches taller than me! 

"That's right, you must prepare for the question and answer portion guys," Camille agreed. 

"Right, we will take care of the cheer tomorrow with your fans," Deserey uttered. I can't help but smile. I'm so glad that Cloud and I have a friends like them.

Sora had lent her laptop to him. With the Wi-Fi connection of the apartment complex, Haru immediately surfed on the internet and browsed everything related to this Japan's ACG industry. In the end, he discovered a shocking truth.
Haruka Kasugano, Haru's predecessor and the owner of the body Haru was possessing, wasn't an Otaku. He had no real interest in the ACG industry. Hence, there was only a little information about that subculture in the assimilated memories.
Haru had mixed feelings after discovering how backward the ACG industry of this alternate Earth. As someone who enjoyed those famous works in his previous life, Haru felt dissatisfied by their absence. However, it also presented a golden opportunity for Haru.
It was an opportunity that he cannot miss because the income from those franchises would make him rich!

Even a renowned web novel platform such as Shōsetsuka ni Narō and others that existed in his world was nonexistent here! Utter blasphemy!
'Just what the heck happened to those historical figures of light and web novel industry? Did they not exist? Perhaps, they had some accidents or never pioneered the light novels in this world? Whatever. That's not important. With the low quality of light novels in this world, I can use it to generate money for me!'
Haru browsed the list of famous publishing houses in this world. He discovers that Dengeki Bunko, Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, Kadokawa Bunko, and HJ Bunko existed here. Those publishing houses had published some famous novels in Haru's old life (e.g., Kadokawa with their Konosuba, Dengeki with their Sword Art Online and A Certain Magical Index.)

"You seemed troubled by something," Sora answered.
"Really?"
"Yeah," Sora moved her head, apparently trying to nod, "You can share your problems with me, you know. We're a family, are we not?"
Haru gazed at Sora bemusedly. Sora's consideration has surprised him. It was out of character of her, after all.
"What?" Sora asked with a displeased face.
"Nothing." Haru waved off Sora's inquiry.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"So?"
"What?"
"Are you not going to share your problems with me?"
Haru pondered for a little before answering. "Well, I'm not sure of what stories I must write. I have many ideas in my mind."
"Hoo?" Sora raised her brow, apparently intrigued. "Tell me about your ideas."
"Let's see. I have two ideas in my head: God's Blessing in this Wonderful World and Sword Art Online. Which one do you want to hear first?"
Haru decided to focus on those two famous works first. He liked Konosuba because of its comedic nature. Meanwhile, Sword Art Online was a revolutionary idea because there were no renowned VR novels in this world. Moreover, Sword Art Online could branch out to anime, comics, and games, like what happened in his previous world.
"Let me hear about the first one."
"All right. So, this story is about a NEET named Satou Kazuma..." Haru gave Sora the overview of Konosuba.
They chatted about Haru's (plagiarized) idea merrily. Well, instead of plagiarism, the correct term was making fanfiction of Konosuba.
In truth, Haru felt dissatisfied with how Kazuma ended up with Megumin. He was rooting for 'Kazuma X Darkness' pairing in his previous life. Since he would introduce Konosuba in this world, he willfully changed some parts to suit his taste.
Haru enjoyed their chat and was happy when he heard Sora's pleasant laugh from the antics of the characters in the stories.
"Oh, haha, hahaha! Haru, these ideas are funny! I'm sure it can sell well!" Sora, sitting next to Haru while clutching her stomach, said. She cleared the tears pooling in the corners of her eyes with her index finger in graceful movements.
For a short while, Haru got mesmerized by Sora's graceful movements. Added with her delicate appearance, Sora unintentionally created a sight that stole Haru's breath away.
Haru quickly snapped out of his daze and forcefully calmed down his frantic heartbeat. He also controlled himself because his face felt hot; he could imagine the red hue coloring his cheeks.
Embarrassed, Haru didn't want Sora to see his flustered face.
"You think so?" Haru asked after calming himself successfully.
"Yeah. I'm sure of it. I never read that kind of funny story on the internet," Sora replied with an excited grin.
Haru felt relieved and happy that Sora grinned merrily like that. Of course, the assimilated memories and feelings were the main reason behind Haru's relief and happiness.
After the death of their parents, Sora had been a depressed state. She was prone to get angry and closed herself off. So, witnessing such a wide grin on Sora's face, how could Haru not feel relieved and happy?
"Hold your horses, young lady. I have yet to tell you about my other idea," said Haru, shamelessly declaring those plagiarized ideas as his.
"Oh? You're right! Tell me about your second idea! I'm curious!"
"Okay. Calm down a bit," said Haru while attempting to calm down Sora's excitement.
"All right," said Sora after calming down, "Now! Tell me!"
"So, Sword Art Online is about..." Haru began presenting the edited story about Sword Art Online for Sora.
Just like with Konosuba, there were some parts in Sword Art Online that Haru felt unsatisfied!
In truth, Haru preferred Suguha (Leafa in-game), the cousin/stepsister of the protagonist, Kazuto (Kirito in-game), as the main heroine instead of Asuna. In the end, he changed the story to match his preference.
A while later, *Sigh* "This story is also wonderful," Sora sighed and remarked after Haru ended his presentation.
"So, what do you think? Which one should I write?"
Sora sunk deep in thought. Haru gives her space to think in peace.
A while later, Sora looked at Haru. Her expression was as if saying, "I have decided!", and Haru was eager to hear Sora's opinion.
"Well," Sora began, "I think you should pick…"

    Man, how many years have it been in since everyone digitized, being immortal really does hamper your sense of time.

   Getting constructed in the Digital Hub was first priority. Since I was a Double ID user I couldn't copy my previous self, that and people would probably recognize me.

  So I went through Avatar creation, it wasn't long or hard... it was kinda like sculpting clay with auto correct.

  I made my sculpted being with less than enthusiastic energy, I thought about everything I would have to do before becoming the top again, and with the ever chanching game some of my secret techniques for easy strength may not work anymore.

  In the Hub I was granted with a intro via a small pop up screen telling me how to use the Hub, I skipped it without missing a beat and immediately head off in the direction of StarDuster Online. 

What a dumb name, it had very little to do with stars, dust, or star dust.

I stepped through a small, gate? I guess that is what it's like. It felt more like a wormhole sucking me in. Hey, that's a good metaphor.

The white room I stood in before pulled it self into structure, forming what made up a small fountain wich then expanded into a small town square, wich then expanded into an entire world, all entirely digitized.

  Alright, time to get some supplies, first I should make a check list to make sure I don't forget a thing.

- Get apples for Healing
- Get Paralyse Grass
- Kill Wolves untill Level 5
- Get BlackSmith Job
- Craft Wolf Fang Barrel for Rifle
- ???
- Profit.

This was my basic starting to checklist, and to think it will be as easy as I described it, is dumb.

First off all, all apples in this damn game is under authority of Market Players who don't care about NPCs. This was due to the Healing they granted. They'd PK anyone who stole.

Second, sniper is the weakest damage class in the early game, it was only effective at very long range.

So, here begins my journey.

Alright, let's start with Paralysis Grass, it's a simple herb that grows anywhere, it causes Light Paralysis on Consumption and Refined liquid from it can Paralyse on hit.

I head out from the Town square, where there was no body else... it was like a ghost town. This was probably due to High level players only wanting to be In Safe zones, unfortunately the starting town isn't one for some reason.

  Me being a mere LvL 1 won't raise any attention for now... I hope. In the time I have untill I arrive, it would be best to check out what the starting gear is again.
 
As any marksman will tell you, keeping your rifle in top condition is essential, and any marksman would grimace on the shoddy work done to this rifle, it was practically falling apart. I like the blue coloring on it though. Infact I seem to have a bit of a theme going on with me, silver and blue clothes covered every inch of me. 

You know, if I were a girl I would be practically nude right now, the developers are perverts so they make the starter female outfits very revealing. It probably was a huge turnoff for many female players... But I guess it didn't have too much off an effect with the mass amounts of players in this game.

I mean, none seem to be present right now, but maybe I'll meet some edventually.

 I arrived at the Grass fields, completely barren and overrun with weeds. Clearly there haven't been players here in forever, and NPCs don't care.

  Well, I might as well take maintenance into my own hands... I'm going to completely fix up this grasslands! All 15 Acres of it!

Video Games... of course, with everything being digital... and with Hyper Advanced A.I... it's possible to create games that simulate what reality used to be like.

 Our story takes place in Starduster MMO, a fantasy based MMO game where the game's story is run mainly by player choice, with any choice being an important factor into anything.

Our main point of view is Avery Hall, who specializes in the Sniper Class, a long range damage class that uses a Rifle. He is quite efficient at making use of all he has available, and is kind of a jerk.

Avery also has been preventing the Progress of the game by holding on to a Key Artifact, other players find out about this and after a while decide they don't want him around anymore.

 While normally death lowers levels... his reputation is too low within the game and he gets banned, luckily he has a second account, as most V.I.P. users in the world do...

 Avery, swears to return the status quo, but maybe he'll be good this time... hopefully, habits take a long time to stop.

 So we join Avery's journey to get back to the top, just make sure he doesn't forget to properly transfer accounts.
