Aria Marie Ventura is a college student living in her school dorm with her two best friends. She's living her almost perfect college life when a guy constantly visits her dream. Another problem is, she can't control it, so she always ends up not knowing the guy's name. The eagerness she has to discover the guy's true identity leads her to a more serious case. . . she fell in love with him, in another world.

At 18 James enrolled in her local college. Because of her name she was put in the men's dorm. James doesn't care much about her looks, she has short hair and baggy clothes that cover her feminine physique. 
Her roommate Anthony strips to find himself attracted to James but can't understand why.

"Do you have an extra money?" I look at him and flash my bored smirk. "am I a bank?" His allowance is bigger than mine. "You got bigger allowance than mine and still, your the first to spend it all?!" Why I'm shocked? His Liam, my friend. Who loves to eat and spend all his money. "l know you got it. Borrow me some and I'll treat you." I know he give back the money. Well, win - win situation. I lend him and he will treat me then next week he will give back my money. It's okay. I lend him my money and head to the cafeteria. On our way, I saw Mavrid. "Hi Mavy!" Greeting him with a big smile with matching waving hand. He just raised his eyebrows in annoying state. He hates to be called 'Mavy', that's why I'm the only one who call him that. Is it cute right? "What? Fely." We annoyed each other. He knows what is the next question. I just smile to him. "He is at the gym. We have practice for the sports fest." I pat his shoulder and walk past to him. "See you in a bit Mavy. Say Hi to Maier for me." I grab Li's hand and dash to the cafeteria. I need to buy something for Maier. "Argh! It's Maier again, Lyn" I buy energy drink and Li bought snacks.
   We sit on the front so that I have better view of him and I can give him the energy drink. "Why I'm here?" I glanced at Li's annoyed face. "Because you are my best friend." I smile to him. Every since first week of school of our freshman year as a college, Liam is the first person I've known and compatible to. We go to the places I wanted and vise versa. Mavrid Fausto. Actually he is the first person I've met in the school. I'm still piss off whenever I remember how we met.
On my first day of school as a freshman, as I remember. I'm walking to find my building, there is so many buildings here. I don't know where to start, so I start walking. I saw many cars and motorcycles are park in that area, so I guess I'm at a parking lot. I looked myself in the mirror, well mirror of a motorcycle near me. As I look my face, the wind blew and my hair cover my face. When I'm going to fix my hair, some strands are knotted in the mirror's handle. Then someone is screaming in front of me. "So you are the one who is stealing my mirrors." What?! Why would I do that. "No, I'm not. I'm just using your mirror and my hair knotted here." He didn't believe me. He drag me to the Administration Office and report me. I explained myself and thanks God, I didn't have any record. From that day, when he sees me, he's teasing me about the mirror. Then when I'm on my second year as a college, I've met Maier Estrin. He gave me a ride when I was left by the bus going to our school. That day I know I have a crush on him. Days later, I saw him with Mavrid and knew that they are friends. That's why we came in this situation.
"Maier I bought you this." I handed him the energy drink. "I'm so thirsty! Do you have water Estrin?" Mavy said triedly. Maier handed him the energy drink that I gave. I make face to Mavy. "You can have this. I have my water." Why he is so kind? I roll my eyes to Mavy. "What?!" He exclaimed while laughing. Mavy sat next to me. "Go away. That seat is occupied." Mavy raised his eyebrows. "To whom?" Again, I roll my eyes. "Of course to Maier." I said it as if it is obvious. Feeling like a girlfriend. "Lyn you know he never going to do that." I pout to Li. Why not just support me. I face Mavy. "Mavy, tell me the truth. Is he a gay or what?" Mavy slammed his palm to his face. "I don't know what is going to your two digit IQ. I told you many times that I don't know and I'm sure he's not a gay." Two digit IQ? That's not true. But why he is always turning me down? After their practice, I went straight to my dorm. Li's dorm is near to mine. Our parents opposed the idea that me and Li will share the dorm. As if where boyfriend-girlfriend. We both know Li that we're just friends. Well we're like siblings you know. I clean my dorm. To say, maybe I'm a girl but I'm not that we'll organized in my dorm. Liam is the one who well organized between the two of us. I finished cleaning almost 7:00PM. I remember that I have something to buy for my project. Argh! what a hassle. I immediately take a bath and dress up. I reached the store 7:45PM. Thanks to the Lord, I managed to buy my needs. Because of the rush, I forgot to ask Li if he wants to come with me. We always do that, telling each other. Going back to home, I'm scrolling my phone. OMyyyy!! Maier is in the Hot Blues, it's just near where I am right now. I take the way to Hot Blues. What I'm going to say if they ask me why I'm there? Oh! I know. I will say that I buy on the convince store next to the Hot Blues. I run to the place. Hot Blues has big parking lot. Passing some cars and motorcycles, I saw two people kissing. My eyes! Like duh?! Privac--. Maier? My brain suddenly flash back a song 'Maier and a Girl hiding on the park K-I-S-S-I-N-G' Stupid brain of mine. What I'm going to do? I just walk passing to them like I didn't see them. I just bow my head for not to see my face. "Fely??" I raised my head, I saw Mavy. "Mavy!!" I cried not loud. Just burst my tears. "Hey stop. you look like a tomato hahaha." I don't care what I'm look like now. I just cried.

The bed is creaking while she cry. I don't know if she need some help because she is crying, very loud. I want to roll out under the bed but I don't know what she will do. Maybe, get angry? Well, not new to that, she always do. Minutes goes by, it stop creaking. A pair of toes walk out of the door. She's still in the room. How can go? I guess, I will wait her to go outside too. A minute or two, she scream my name. She's calling me. What to do??! I cuss myself for being stuck here. She continue to call my name. For the last call, she's angry. No choice 


"Mom? I'm here." I roll out and stick my head out. She search for me and when she found me. I met here shock eyes. Why? why shock?

As I walk back into my room the pictures hanging all over these 4 walls, holding mostly all of my memories from back home brighten my mood. Man do I love my apartment! It's way better than those college dorm rooms me a Lily had to share. I'm sure my best friend, Lily would love to be cramped into one single small dorm room together again. She just that type of bubbly person who loves to always have someone around.. me on the other hand. I love my space.

I sit down at the black vanity my father built for me right after we first moved into this little "farm" house in Seattle. 
Starting to blow dry my hair. I try to blow away any lingering thoughts or 'Rain'.. I must reprimand myself... 'Remember, Ren that it is a completely mental idea to give an imaginary man in some dream a name!'
Finishing up my light make up, and straightening out my wavy short hair. I scan my closet. Grabbing a new black sweater and a pair of my favorite boyfriend jeans (haha! don't have a boyfriend but got his jeans.) I slip on my oxford black lace up shoes. "Okay ready to face the freeze". 
Standing in front of the mirror I look at my reflection.
My dad tells me all the time how pretty I am..
Which I guess I am..pretty.. ? 
I have dark full brows with naturally full plump lips just like my mother. Along with a matching set of dimples on both cheeks when I smile (that my dad proudly states came from him). But honestly who can trust what a father says! John has been say I was beautiful, since long ago. Like when I was 85 pounds heavier in college. Hell even before that; when I had glasses and braces in high school. 
"God I don't even want to think about the braces.."

When it’s rains, is about a 24 year old girl named Ren, who believes she’s living a pretty normal life as a photographer. Other than the forever recurring dreams of some mystery man.. and then there’s her mother’s fatal accident that she for saw.... 
After getting a her dream job and moving half way across the country with her best friend in tow. Ren believes things are looking up... until she meets him... her “dream” man.

“Rain.. it comes and goes as it see fit. It can be thunder storms or a light drizzle you can look up too see a clear blue sky then the next second be casted in a dark grey down pour. People say they can some times smell the rain before it’s coming or calculate the percent it will fall, but don’t let them fool you. The only time you know for sure it’s going to rain.. is when it’s already raining.”

The man with the lion ears stated, "If it's just catching some stupid raccoon, can't you do it yourself, Teach?"
  "How many times do I have to tell you, I'm not a raccoon!" The cat hissed as his tattered black and white stripe ribbon quivered around his neck, "The Great Grim that will become the greatest magician ever is me!"
  The glasses guy Lotus had heard was called Azul folded his arms and walked over to the red hair boy, "It certainly has moxie. Care to help me, Riddle?"
  The boy stated solemnly, "I can't overlook those who break rules. Let's hurry and get this over with."
  "Oh? Trying to bring me down, huh?!" the black cat scoffed with a smirk on his face in ridicule, "Forget it. You're too..."
  Before Lotus could hear the rest of the show, she noticed that one of the blue flames was starting to get rather close to the Diasomnia dorm students. Being freshmen, they weren't very surprised but weren't as optimistic of the situation either. It was then that a small gust of wind blew in that the flames suddenly grew bigger.
  Lotus frowned and glanced around the room. The place was a chaotic mess, but, amongst it all there was an open window as Lotus could see dust particles flying in with the currents. She frowned and thought for a bit.
  "The windows!!!"
  "Wh-What's going on?!" The cat called out in bewilderment before shaking his head, "I-I mean, haha! Do you believe me now?!"
  "Fool..." Lotus scowled under her hood and glanced over to the window. With a forceful wave of her sleeve, she gathered the winds and broke the window shattering the tall mural glass into large shards.
  "Slyphs," She called out quietly, "Catch those evildoers quickly, please. Leave everything else to me. I have a feeling they're dangerous, be careful."
  Small white figures flew into the room raising the temperature as it did so before leaving out the broken window.
  "Oh?"
  Lotus looked aside and saw the small dorms leader with the purple and black hair staring at the sylphs to Lotus's surprise. However, she realized that he hadn't been the only one. Behind him, the boy called Ren stared at the fairies in bewilderment as Lotus's frown deepened. On one hand, she sighed in contemplation as to how she would make up for the window. After all, the repairs can't always be done so by the school. So, she began thinking of the pills she had made beforehand and the money she had gathered from the constant auction of the black market she took part in when she once went to save Maisey from.
  First the fire.
  Lotus looked up to the cat standing on top of the mirror to which Lotus nodded her head and opened her palm. There was a lot of magical energy in the air. With her body capable of absorbing magic and processing it, she gathered the energy and allowed to flow into her chest. the energy was strong and free of any restraint. With that, she reined it into her body from her palm and her breathing.
  With the lack of oxygen, the fire finally began to dim as Riddle jumped up and pointed the crystal gem in his hand to the cat with a loud shout, "Off with your head!"
  Suddenly, a red and black collar rimmed with gold shackled itself around the cat's neck which suddenly bound it from moving steadily as it struggled to stay on top of the mirror.
  "The heck is this?!" the cat struggled with the collar around his neck.
  With a firm glance, Riddle stated, "Laws of the Queen of Hearts: Number 23: One shall never bring a cat into a festival. You being a cat means you've broken the rule. I shall have you leave at once."
  "I'm not a cat!" The cat called itself Grim declared firmly and tried to burn away the collar much to its misfortune of being unable to, much less utilize his fire abilities.
  At this point, Lotus was too tired to give anymore sarcastic remarks, so she kept her mouth shut as she tiredly leaned against the wall next to the broken window.
  The boy smirked in triumph as he humphed, "You won't be using any magic until I remove the collar. Just like an ordinary cat."
  "Wh-What?! I'm not a pet!"
  "Don't worry." Riddle stated firmly with a harsh glare, "I'd never keep a pet like you."
  Riddle then continued bluntly, "I'll take it off anyway when you get thrown out."
  "Wow, as wonderful as ever." Azul noted with a smile plastered on his face after having set out the flames on his classmate, "Any and all magic gets sealed by your Unique Magic, Riddle. I want it..."
  Hearing his words, Lotus stared at the young man called Azul as the guy quickly shook his head, "No. I wouldn't ever want that cast on me."
  "You must do something about this!" Crowley scowled at the human boy with no magic, "It is your familiar!"
  "Properly discip-!"
  "He's not my familiar!" Yuu managed to squeeze in his reply quickly before he could be drowned out again.
  During the entire time, Lotus had seen Yuu fumble clumsily around the flames seeking for shelter during the fire or looking amongst the people in confusion. Eyes were lost as it sought for some form of action. Lotus then knew that this guy was an obedient little puppy. That was till he finally raised his voice.
  Lotus smirked. It would seem the little puppy knew how to bark after all.
  "Eh?" A dawn of realization finally came over the headmaster as he repeated the meaning he received, "It's not yours?"
  "How many time do I have to tell you?" Yuu groaned in both agony and relief when his words finally got through to the adult.
  "Y-You did?" The headmaster said in a slightly flustered manner before clearing his throat and regaining his bearings with a wide smile, "Anyway, let's get it out of the school at any rate. We won't turn you into a stew. For I am gracious. Somebody, please help."
  The cat screeched, "Let me go!!! I'm going to, going to... Become the greatest magician!"
  However, the students Savannaclaw, a dorm emulated from a beast king called Scar, grabbed the cat by the collar and began to drag him out of the halls. With a frown, Lotus headed on over to the broken window and checked to see if she still had her ability working before leaving the chambers from the windows.
  She landed on the grass of the yard and walked through the grass with great care when her eyes landed on the pinned bodies of the black-clothed figures. By now, the skies have turned dark and the light of the full moon shone with a kind light. However, it was a pity that the light won't be the same sense as it was for the people before her. With a frown, she wanted to turn them into the authorities, but she had known from experience that the people here were too weak to handle people like them. With a sigh, she pulled out the reptilian potion, she had concocted and poured it over the guy.
  It was then that she watched as the three figures changed into three large tortoises which she quickly bound with chains from her ring. She then took their clothes and poured an acidic chemical over it before taking the sack of powder away into her ring. She, then, brought the three tortoises into her magical ring and pulled out her check from her pocket. Before leaping back up to into the room. By now, everyone had left the place and the headmaster with the boy Yuu had just gone as well.
  With a frown, Lotus shook her head with a sigh seeing that the coast was clear and not much fun could be had from this.
  "I see thy art enjoying themselves."
  Hearing the familiar deep voice, Lotus stepped towards the mirror with a wide grin, "Enjoying myself? Well, that was the plan at first..."
  She sighed and sat herself cross-legged on the ground before the great mirror, "What a mess. I didn't think those guys would dare to cross the school."
  "Night Raven College will protect you." The mirror stated.
  "Mh..." Lotus nodded quietly, "However, if cases like this happen again, I'd like to protect the school from time to time. Like the current seal on my body."
  The mirror remained silent as Lotus continued, "Well, you pretty much knew who broke the window. Apologies, I'll pay for it."
  The mirror grew silent still as Lotus finally turned to look at him again with a wide and mischievous smile, "So, can you see my magic now?"
  "I do not see thy magic." The mask face responded bluntly with a shake of his head.
  "I see, I see." Lotus nodded in an aloof manner as she looked up at the chandelier free of the damage from earlier.
  "Just now, I have witnessed a magic very alike to thy name." The mask face confessed bluntly, "A lotus in full bloom, but dyed in dark black."
  "Ren, right?" Lotus responded as she rested her chin on her hand.
  The mirror looked at her with a curious look as he asked, "What did thou feel towards the child?"
  "A sense of familiarity." Lotus replied.
  "Dost thou want to seek him out?"
  Lotus shook her head as she fell back onto the stone cold ground, "Nah. We'll let his decisions decide that. But, I am curious to see him. This Ren guy. Ren Ebonviels, was it? Doesn't that name feel to be out of place for him?"
  The mirror was quiet as he heard this before she continued to ask him, "So, what will happen to me now? I don't have a dorm to go to nor magic in me."
  "Then, you should leave the academy."
  Lotus sat up and saw the headmaster returning with a frown.
  "To think there was another student that snuck out from the group." The headmaster groaned as if ready to faint at any moment from shame, "And, not to mention another without magic..."
   "Yup." Lotus responded with a sigh, "Which means that I won't be in any of the dorms. So, what will happen to me? I have the acceptance letter and the robe, but no magic."
   "Then, why are you here?" Crowley questioned in confusion having snapped out of his little drama.
   "To help pay for the window." Lotus responded bluntly.
   "What?" The headmaster looked to her in stupor, "You mean the broken window was caused by you?!"
   "Yup." Lotus answered, "I'll explain the situation after payment, I guess."
   The headmaster stared at her in bewilderment. Those were glass window the mirror specifically said to be surrounded by magic this year! Could he have been the reason the mirror made a special visit and request?!
   Normally, the mirror doesn't appear without being summoned, but, that day, the mirror appeared without being summoned making unusual requests!
   The headmaster felt everything was a little strange, so he asked, "Normally, we'd get an explanation out before talking about payment. So..."
   "All right." Lotus smiled, "It's rather simple. Some mischievous individuals have been sprinkling ignition powder into the room from the opened window during the fire. So, I scared them and kicked them out, but the window was broken in the process. So, I had them make part of the payment."
   "Someone actually broke into the school grounds?" The headmaster looked to her in bewilderment and turned to the mirror who nodded his head adding even more to his surprise.
   The mirror is also supporting this student with no magic? 
   Normally, the mirror is very neutral in situation like these, but...
   Seeing his change of expressions, Lotus smirked and said, "So, how much is the window? It's probably very expensive."
   Examining the young man before him, Crowley frowned suspiciously at her, "You look rather young, but the hood and the ebony coffin makes no mistakes in the past hundred years."
   "I came here on a scholarship." Lotus responded, "If you look into it, a rich family is backing up my tuition fees and I'm here on a recommendation." 
   "Your education?" Crowley questioned. 
   "Self-taught." Lotus answered. 
   "Is that so?" Crowley looked to her with a plain look of disbelief, "I recall there being a few students on the system, but you don't have any magic and you have a place to return too. Night Raven College is a school of magic. Who recommended you?"
   "Mister Mirror did." Lotus responded. 
   Lotus saw that the headmaster was actually taken aback by this to which she could understand. After all, how could a person behind glass do something outside?
   The headmaster shook his head, "Now that you're here, you might as well pay for the window. And, as for the letter of acceptance..."
   Very troubled, the headmaster unwilling stated, "We can't send you home very easily since the mirror was the one who had the school send the letter."
   "Really?" Lotus questioned it curiously. 
   "Of course." Crowley responded bluntly as he saw the mirror slowly vanished back behind the darkness of the glass, "Since the mirror was the one who recommended you, we'll enroll you as a student after everything in your background is checked." 
   "But, I don't have a dorm." 
   "We can rearrange something later." He responded with a smile, "Though it'll be a lot of effort, I can put you into a dorm somewhere on campus for now. With your contributions to the window, I won't have to charge our new handyman for the window." 
   "So, no dorm, but can't leave?"
   "I'm afraid not." Crowley said with a look of confusion but smiled, "Like I said, I'll get you into a dorm somewhere on campus, despite you not having magic. Normally, I would have you leave campus and return home as you are not in the same position as our penniless teenager this evening. However, the mirror was the one who want the letter to be extended to you. So, I shall find a place for you to stay. For I am gracious. What is your name again?"
   "Lotus Xue." Lotus responded. 
   "Lotus? As in a flower?" Crowley looked to her in confusion. 
   "Pretty much." She responded, "My mom was the one who gave me the name."
   Honestly, she had wanted a more masculine name, but her mother was very adamant about a flowery name for her alias despite the girly aspect of it. She recalled her saying with a bright smile, "I think it's very nice. Your name is already a flower to begin with and I think a flowery name would suit you wherever you go. It'll be easier for us to recognize you later on too. A boy or girl can have the name, so there's no problem with it, right?"
   It was very hard to talk her mother out of an idea once she came up with one too. So, she accepted her mother's idea without further conflicts.
   "Very well." The headmaster stated, "We'll speak more about this in my office."
   "Got it!"

Through the mud and sand, she bloomed in defiance. 
In the flames and ashes, she bloomed in rebellion.

Now, with the end of her life at the hands of assassins, she bloomed bright with flowers red in blood. 

Having lived her life in defiance and strong will to the end, Peony was brought back to life in the body of an orphan girl at an orphanage. As she once had a body of cultivation while being a peony fairy, she knew the child could cultivate. However, she discovers that others can't! 
The little girl, also called Peony, was abandoned in a forest, during a short excursion with the rest of the orphans. Outcasted and targetted for her small size, Peony was left to die in the forest when she accidentally stumbled upon a fairy and rescued it from a pack of wolves.
Ten years later, she receives an acceptance letter from the second best magic school Night Raven College. Curious, she decides to attend, but there's a few problems. One, she has enemies who wants her dead. Two, she apparently has no magic but can cultivate. Three, apparently, the school is an all boys private school and she is a girl! A mistake? Nah, it'll be all part of her plan anyway! 
As she enters the school of magic, mysteries began to unravel and she begins to find a solution to her biggest problem of all in life.

DOVE'S PERSPECTIVE 

I laid staring at my digital on the dorm room night stand for what felt like hours; watching the minutes go by, and awaiting the obnoxious sound of my alarm to go off, indicating the start of a new chapter in my life. Sam and I were ready for this, I knew we were. The little voice in the back of my head kept telling me that I shouldn't rush this, that we are still young and anything could go wrong any minute - and looking back, maybe I should've listened, or maybe I shouldn't have. I couldn't tell you if I'd rewind time and take that decision back, or if I'm content with the events that led me to my new life eight months down the line. Eight months. I had everything planned, everything. Only for it to turn around and slap me in the face. 

"I am going to miss you you know, even though you've been nothing but a pain in the ass for me for the past month," Lilian giggled, as I embraced my roommate goodbye and packed up the last of my things. 

She wasn't exactly a compatible figure in my life, and perhaps one of the reasons why I chose to move out of my dorm in the first place - her and I were completely different, and so our clashing personalities didn't aid the late nights I'd have to wake up to her bringing home guys and pretending like I could sleep through it, or the early mornings she'd casually drop in and I'd have to hold her hair back as she threw up the memories of last night in the toilet. Although a freshman like me, she had different ideas of fun - not that I consider my obsessive studying habits and round the clock library trips fun, but that's just how I was wired. No one could convince me to take a night off and party, not even Lilian. Aside from her wild personality, we actually got on pretty great. She tried and tried to get me to have fun for the first month at college. She'd tell me insane stories about older seniors she'd meet at these frat houses, and how college life catches up to everyone, and that sooner or later I'd have to face it - but that just wasn't me. Sam understood that, and moving in with him would sort out numerous issues - for starters I'd have more personal space, my own desk where I could revise as to avoid rush hour at the campus libraries. But most importantly, I'd no longer feel the pressure of excusing myself every weekend there was a new party, or a new drunk stumbled into our room. I'd have liberty, and I'd be sharing a small apartment off campus with the love of my life. For once in my life I was making a decision that was purely my own, free from the judgement of either one of my parents, although that was probably thanks to hours of discussion and reasoning with them on Sam's parents side. We were ready. Until we weren't ready at all. 

As Sam parked in the driveway nearest my dorm I hugged Lilian goodbye one last time, promising to stay in touch. She wasn't in any of my classes, but I didn't want to completely cut ties with her - despite everything, she wasn't a bad person. Sometimes I questioned whether this rebellious side to her stemmed from something much deeper, but it wasn't my place to act on my curiosity. I wasn't one to judge people on poor life choices, and especially troubled pasts, and while mine made me obedient and good, hers made her perhaps want to mirror these traumas and live freely when she otherwise couldn't. 

I stepped out and was greeted by an overly excited Sam, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling equally as good about this. As we drove the short drive to our apartment complex, I watched the campus disappear behind us, and at last it really kicked in just how real this move was. Sam and I had both gotten accepted into Seattle Central College over the summer, after having graduated from high school as straight A students. I was proud of us, and I liked that we achieved milestones together - it gave me a sense of belonging, something I so desperately wanted and needed to continue to feel. We moved a month into settling at college; it was the beginning of October, and after both deciding that the dorm life just wasn't doing its justice for us anymore, we left our roommates behind and looked into prices and availability for small studio apartments nearby. We didn't need something grand - just a small space we could call our home for the next two years. Our home. The beginning of my story - a means to an end.

When college freshman Dove Addison makes the decision to move in with her long term boyfriend Samuel, also a freshman, she believes that she is taking a step in the right direction. But when complications about their lack of sex life surface, she feels as if her needs aren't being met, and that they struggle to even share a bed together.            DOVE'S PERSPECTIVE 
I laid staring at my digital on the dorm room night stand for what felt like hours; watching the minutes go by, and awaiting the obnoxious sound of my alarm to go off, indicating the start of a new chapter in my life. Sam and I were ready for this, I knew we were. The little voice in the back of my head kept telling me that I shouldn't rush this, that we are still young and anything could go wrong any minute - and looking back, maybe I should've listened, or maybe I shouldn't have. I couldn't tell you if I'd rewind time and take that decision back, or if I'm content with the events that led me to my new life eight months down the line. Eight months. I had everything planned, everything. Only for it to turn around and slap me in the face. 

"I am going to miss you you know, even though you've been nothing but a pain in the ass for me for the past month," Lilian giggled, as I embraced my roommate goodbye and packed up the last of my things. 
She wasn't exactly a compatible figure in my life, and perhaps one of the reasons why I chose to move out of my dorm in the first place - her and I were completely different, and so our clashing personalities didn't aid the late nights I'd have to wake up to her bringing home guys and pretending like I could sleep through it, or the early mornings she'd casually drop in and I'd have to hold her hair back as she threw up the memories of last night in the toilet. Although a freshman like me, she had different ideas of fun - not that I consider my obsessive studying habits and round the clock library trips fun, but that's just how I was wired. No one could convince me to take a night off and party, not even Lilian. Aside from her wild personality, we actually got on pretty great. She tried and tried to get me to have fun for the first month at college. She'd tell me insane stories about older seniors she'd meet at these frat houses, and how college life catches up to everyone, and that sooner or later I'd have to face it - but that just wasn't me. Sam understood that, and moving in with him would sort out numerous issues - for starters I'd have more personal space, my own desk where I could revise as to avoid rush hour at the campus libraries. But most importantly, I'd no longer feel the pressure of excusing myself every weekend there was a new party, or a new drunk stumbled into our room. I'd have liberty, and I'd be sharing a small apartment off campus with the love of my life. For once in my life I was making a decision that was purely my own, free from the judgement of either one of my parents, although that was probably thanks to hours of discussion and reasoning with them on Sam's parents side. We were ready. Until we weren't ready at all. 
As Sam parked in the driveway nearest my dorm I hugged Lilian goodbye one last time, promising to stay in touch. She wasn't in any of my classes, but I didn't want to completely cut ties with her - despite everything, she wasn't a bad person. Sometimes I questioned whether this rebellious side to her stemmed from something much deeper, but it wasn't my place to act on my curiosity. I wasn't one to judge people on poor life choices, and especially troubled pasts, and while mine made me obedient and good, hers made her perhaps want to mirror these traumas and live freely when she otherwise couldn't. 
I stepped out and was greeted by an overly excited Sam, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling equally as good about this. As we drove the short drive to our apartment complex, I watched the campus disappear behind us, and at last it really kicked in just how real this move was. Sam and I had both gotten accepted into Seattle Central College over the summer, after having graduated from high school as straight A students. I was proud of us, and I liked that we achieved milestones together - it gave me a sense of belonging, something I so desperately wanted and needed to continue to feel. We moved a month into settling at college; it was the beginning of October, and after both deciding that the dorm life just wasn't doing its justice for us anymore, we left our roommates behind and looked into prices and availability for small studio apartments nearby. We didn't need something grand - just a small space we could call our home for the next two years. Our home. The beginning of my story - a means to an end.

"I think the red lipstick brings out your eyes Diane" Lola quoted, I thought I looked terrible in this shorts and oversized shirt going for a party, and the lipstick only made it worse.
"Are you sure Lola...?" I doubted.
"Yeah I love it" 
"Uh! Lola I can't believe I let you drag me to this college party of yours." I said, leaning closer to the mirror to get a better view of my lips.
"Darling.... don't worry, I can't let my dorm mate stay in campus while I'm out partying my ass off." She collected the last of the clothes scattered on the floor and cleaned up her mess.
"You know I would have gone to the Library." I muttered.
I put on my boost heels and zipped the sides, then I let out a loud sigh and patted the bed in disbelief.
"What is it?" She frowned at me.
"I still can't believe-
"You let me drag you to Mathon's party?" She interrupted.
"YES! Lola"
"Less talk, more moving, party starts at eight, Halsey's picking us up." She said, picking the keys on her bed side and pushing me out.
"What!? Lola I thought we're taking my car..!" I said, enraged.
"Oh Diane! Will you chill for a sec!?" She stormed.
"It's Okay Diane , Halsey's cool."

For a second there I thought she would start her silly panic attacks.

I've only known her for 2 weeks. When I started college and moved in with her on college campus, she's been having panic attacks with me since I moved in, for such silly things, mostly for my stubbornness.

Yesterday she had one because I wouldn't let her take me to this stupid party, she said I wasn't letting her be a proper friend, that "If we're going to be dorm-mates"  then I've got to open up and trust her.

"Oh look!"  She pointed at a red Volvo S60 parked across the gate as me climbed down the stairs and moved toward the gate.

"She's here" I mumbled
I saw her poking her head out the car window.

"Oh hey Halsey!" We chanted.
"Hey gurrlsss!" She gave us a dirty smile and look. Chewing gum so recklessly.
It was so creepy

Lola got into the front seat and I got into the back to two boys shifting so as to let me sit.
It was rather awkward but I managed to squeeze myself in.
"Hey" I said softly.
"Hey I'm Tyler...this is Kristen" The guy next to me said, and gestured to the the guy "Kristen", who just stared at me.
"Umm, nice to meet you guys."I replied, then took one quick glance at Lola, and out the window as we made our way to the party.

A young girl who has just started college gets tangled up with the mysteries of the dark world.

Diane meets a guy who actually turns out to be a Vampire and he falls in love with her instantly.
She doesn't know him, so she rejects him.

She sets out to find him and goes through a lot of trouble while trying to find her beast.

Eventually she finds him...or rather..he finds her and without intention...Diane falls in love with him rather deeply.

It doesn't just end as human with Vampire now does it!?
