Several actors and actresses joined in the conversation, but they mostly came and went, probably because while they were impressed with Royston Tan's achievements, he was still an upcoming director. He showed a lot of promise and won an award, but he wasn't as established or reputable as the other older and more experienced directors in the hotel lobby.
While slowly eating, I got curious. Checking my smartphone, I saw that Royston Tan was also a CEO of his own studio. Director, actor, and CEO. What the fuck? Was he some sort of Mary Sue male lead who existed only in CEO novels? Since when did such multi-talented, almost perfect people exist? I hoped it didn't turn out to be a cliché story where he drew the attention of the female lead, who then got murdered later tonight, only to be reborn in another person's body and then attempted to take revenge on Royston Tan (the male lead) because she suspected that he was the murderer…only to find out that the new body she was reborn in was married to him in secret.
…yeah, that would never happen. Only CEO stories could come up with such farfetched, unrealistic scenarios.
Then I noticed one of the ladies drawing close to Lily. Even though I didn't recognize her, I suddenly remembered a photo that Lily showed me as a warning. That person approaching her was none other than Yvonne Yang. I watched their exchange closely, narrowing my eyes behind my glasses. Arnold and Lily stiffened slightly, but they didn't react hostilely or chase Yvonne away.
As expected, Yvonne Yang tried to ingratiate herself with an unimpressed Royston Tan, leaning close to him and trying to initiate intimate physical contact. Royston Tan moved away from her, looking uncomfortable, and avoided her. Even from this distance, I could see that he was speaking to her in a glacial, indifferent tone.
Yvonne Yang was getting increasingly frustrated, but for some reason she was glaring at Lily instead, as if blaming her for her own failure. Wow…typical CEO novel villainess attitude. Somehow it was always the female lead's fault. Of course it wasn't her fault, it must be that "bitch" who was seducing her target away from her!
I only had one word to describe that. Delusional.
When it was clear that Royston Tan didn't want to talk to her, Yvonne Yang slinked away bitterly. She then leaned over to a waitress who was carrying a tray of drinks and whispered some directions. Slipping a hand into her purse, she produced a pill before dropping it into one of the glasses and dissolving it. Essentially spiking the drink. She whispered a few more instructions to the waitress, gave her some money, and then stalked off.
The waitress stared at the wad of cash in her hands with huge eyes, and then scampered toward Lily, offering her a drink. Before I could stop her, Lily drank from the glass.
Fuck.
Well, this was just stupid and entirely predictable. I did have to question, though. Why the fuck was Yvonne Yang carrying around a pill with her in her purse? Was she always intending to spike someone? Like, seriously, who the fuck randomly carried around aphrodisiacs or sleeping pills in her purse when attending a banquet? How the hell did CEO novel villainesses always so conveniently have access to such drugs, and always had those on hand to sabotage the female lead?
I glanced at Yvonne Yang, who was hurrying away, disappearing into the corridor. I wanted to follow her, but I couldn't. I finished the rest of my food, put my plate away in the collection area, and hastened toward Lily's position. If she took the spiked drink, then there was only one outcome.
I could already see her swaying. I hurried over, trying to reach her in time before something bad happened. Fuck, this was really playing out like all those nonsensical CEO novels I had read. I hoped I wouldn't be too late.

"Yeah!" She said, "You're twenty-one years old now. You can get married next year!" 
As she spoke, she reached out and gently stroked Tang Hao's cheeks with her delicate hands.
Her eyes were filled with tenderness.
"Do you like children, Lil Tang?" Suddenly, she muttered.
"I do!" Tang Hao said.
"Then... I'll give birth to one, OK? No! I want to give birth to many, many, many children. Anyway, I'm a Perfected Person now, so I'm not afraid of pain! I give birth to as many as I can!
"If we have a few boys and girls, how lively will that be!"
As she said that, she revealed a look of yearning.
"Well..." 
Tang Hao laughed drily.
"What? Are you unhappy?" Qin Xiangyi was stunned.
"No! It's just that we're both Perfected Persons now. It's not going to be that easy to become pregnant," Tang Hao said.
"Oh? There's such a thing?" Qin Xiangyi was stunned.
"If that's the case, why didn't you say so earlier? We'll just have to work harder! Alright, from today onward, we'll do it without protection! Alright?"

"Those special effects are too awesome. As expected of Haotian!" 
"Haotian Pictures, the hope of domestic movies!" 
The Internet was abuzz.
They did not bear high expectations for the sci-fi movie. After all, Haotian Pictures's previous two movies were action comedies, and "Escape from the Solar System" was a serious sci-fi movie.
Those two themes were completely different.
Huaxianese sci-fi movies had never been successful.
The movie had made the moviegoers realize that domestic sci-fi movies could also be very awesome.
The movie scored more than 9.0 on all the review websites. It became an instant hit.
Its popularity was no less than that of last year's "Mao Mountain Taoist Master."
Soon, the Lunar New Year passed.
On the eighth day, Haotian Group started to move into the new building. 
Tang Hao's office was on the top floor. It was bigger than the previous one and was attached with a lounge. Even Assistant Han's office had become bigger.
"This is too big!" 
Han Yutong walked around and was flabbergasted. "People might think that this is the chairman's office!" 
"Isn't that good? It shows that we're a great company!" Tang Hao said with a smile. 
"That's true!" 
Han Yutong sat down and swiveled on her chair. She could not help but grin.
"This'll be my third home. I need to decorate it properly. Chairman Tang, promise me that you'll never replace me with anyone else." 
As she spoke, she walked over and gently hugged Tang Hao.
"OK!" Tang Hao laughed.
"Yay, Chairman Tang! You're too kind!" She cheered.
Then, she kissed Tang Hao's cheek several times before starting to set up the office.
Tang Hao went around and hid pieces of jade in each corner of the building. He set up several Artifact formations, and the entire building became as impenetrable as a fortress.
Moreover, Tang Hao took Zhou Lingxue over and prepared a room for her.
She brought countless ghosts with her. In her free time, she had domesticated them, and they had to call her "Boss."
After the move, the company's operations resumed on track. They started to plan to expand across Asia.
One day, Tang Hao was working when his phone suddenly rang.
He saw that it was from General Bai.
He quickly picked up the phone as he wondered about the reason for the call.
"What's up?" Tang Hao asked.
"Have you seen the news?" 
General Bai's tone was serious.
"No!" 
"It's chaos! This time, many hidden sects have returned and are causing trouble everywhere. Take a look! It's all over the Internet." 
Tang Hao's expression changed slightly, and he immediately opened Weibo.
After scrolling for a while, he saw that many accounts were forwarding a video. When he clicked on it, he found that it had been deleted, and there was no way to view it.
After searching for a while, he also found some screenshots. He saw several figures dressed in ancient clothes, and beside them were flipped cars that were on fire.

I also enjoy 'Lord of the Rings', 'The Chronicles of Narnia', Encyclopedia Brown, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and may others. What about you?"
"I've always enjoyed the classic dystopian sci-fi novels, such as '1984', 'Animal Farm', 'I, Robot', 'Dune', and 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. My mom also insisted that I read Jane Austen, Nicholas Sparks, and other romance authors. That's how I got into E. L. James and J. Kenner."
"So, you're a nerd and a romantic." I catch myself giggling a bit. {Gosh, what is this man doing to me. I've become a blushing schoolgirl.}
"Fine, go ahead. Make fun of me. But in my defense Orwell and Asimov are good writers. And you can't tell me that 'Pride and Prejudice' isn't a good book. It has history and finesse. What more could you want?"
"Okay, okay! I didn't mean to offend you, I'm just surprised is all."
"What, that I read romance novels?"
"No. That you read actual books."
"Harsh. But understandable. Most actors and celebrities don't portray themselves in a way that suggests any of us have the time or willingness to sit and read anything other than tabloid articles about ourselves."
We continue to talk about books for a while. Both pizzas were amazing. All good things must come to an end though. Austin takes me home and kisses me goodnight. It's an unexpected, but soft and gentle kiss. {Wow. I guess a second date isn't out of the question then.}
"Goodnight, Alexandra."
"Goodnight." {Something about the way he says my name in that dark accent of his drives me wild. I just hope that he doesn't notice.}
I take a shower I notice a new text from Austin. [Hey, I had a good time tonight. Would you like to go on a second date? I was thinking we could go to the movies sometime during the next week.] {Maybe it's best I leave that for tomorrow morning. That way I'm not making a hasty decision, right?}
 
When I woke up, I responded to Austin's text: [I have a commission due at the end of the week, but I think I can spare enough time for a date.]
[Good. Let's say Friday at 6?]
[Sounds like a plan.]
[It's a date then. 😉]
I call my mom, as I do almost every Sunday. She is excited that I've actually gone out on a date for once. Everything is going well at home, and we are all set for dinner tonight. She tells me to invite Zach, and I agree that it would be good for him after dinner with his mother.
I decide to go talk to him in person and drive over to his apartment.
"Hey. I wasn't expecting you today. Is everything alright?"
"Yeah. My mom invited you to dinner tonight. I told her about dinner with your mother the other day."
"Okay." He laughs a bit, and I can't help but smile. "I'll go to dinner with you and your family."
"I will text her to let her know."
"Uh… just out of curiosity, how was your date with Austin last night?"
"It was great! Have you heard of Pizza Pi? Their mac'n'cheese pizza is surprisingly amazing."
"Pi as in 3.14?"
"Yep. Kinda funny if you think about it."
"I think Sam said something about that place at some point. Maybe it had something to do with one of her dates. I can never keep them all straight. Anyway, how did it go? Do you have a second date lined up?"
"Actually, yes. Friday at 6. I believe we are headed to a movie theater."
"That sounds like fun. I'm glad you had a good time. Speaking of time, we should probably get going before your parents start to worry about your whereabouts."

Austin King is an actor playing a motorcycle cop in a TV series being filmed in Central City.

Austin hires Alex to redesign his new apartment, and her life is never the same again.

After entering the mall they met up with Dheer and his friends and went to some stores for the shopping. 

While Anaya was helping Rudra with his shopping, Elisa and the others were huddled together at one of the less crowded aisles, conspiring to separate those two and create opportunities for Dheer.

"From our previous interactions with Rudra, we got to know that he likes to watch all those kid's movies to make his interaction with his patients easier. So the plan is that Sam and other boys will go for one of those movies which recently got released saying that they don't like shopping, while Anaya will accompany us for the shopping" Elisa began.

"We will make Dheer stay by saying that he loves shopping giving him some good points as usually men don't like to shop, and strangely this idiot does, so this will raise his points in Anaya's eyes. Later we girls will find a way to leave them alone and then you'll get to spend the whole time with her alone. This movie is longer than the usual ones so you have two hours" Aisha continued with their plan.

"After the movie, you three try to divert Rudra's attention to something else and keep him busy which will give extra time for these two to be together." Eva turned towards the other three men and instructed.

"Okay!!! But why do we have to watch that children's movie? We can watch others. There's this new sci-fi movie released today which I'm sure Rudra will like too. We are not kids to watch that movie for kids" Arav whined.

"Shut up Arav. Out of all the movies currently being shown, it's the longest one which will give Dheer and Anaya more time. And besides, this is the only movie you can watch right now. Because out of the three movies being shown, that sci-fi one is released today and is already houseful. Its tickets were already sold out a month before.  And the other one is that boring cliché romantic one that you all hated last time." Aisha chided Arav.

"All night long and you all came with this lame plan? It's so childish." Dheer commented as soon as Aisha finished.

Hearing Dheer complaining, Elisa burst out in anger "Then why don't you think of a better plan, you idiot!!! Do you know how much I wanted to watch that sci-fi movie?? I had booked the tickets months before to watch it on its release date with Rehan. But just because I wanted to create opportunities for you both gave them away and now you are complaining?" She wanted to whack some sense into Dheer on the spot but resisted it because they were at a public place.

Dheer didn't dare to utter another word after that and comply with the plan like an obedient kid. As he gave it a thought, the idea wasn't that bad. He could surely get some alone time with Anaya. 'It'll be the first time that we'll be together out in a public setting like this. Our first official HALF DATE' Dheer's eyes shone as he thought this and began to anticipate their half date. In his eyes, their last divorce date didn't count as it was a part of their plan and they didn't get to enjoy it.

After deciding everything, Arav and Rehan went to buy tickets for the movie while the rest went to look for Anaya and Dheer.

When they found those two, they were at the billing counter. They had bought quite a few stuff in this short time. After billing for their items, Anaya and Rudra strolled towards them. 

Once they arrived, the group of friends began their act of complaining "Hey guys, we were just discussing that maybe the boys should be spared from our shopping spree. These boys hate shopping and have been nagging us this whole time" Aisha began.

"Yes, in the last half hour Sam has nagged at me least hundred times now. I can't shop with him being like this" Eva joined.

"So let's spare these boys from our shopping spree so that we can shop with peace... And before you get concerned don't worry about Rudra, there's this kids movie that's pretty popular these days. Even Sam, Arav, and Rehan wanted to watch it. So they'll watch the movie as I remember he mentioned that he liked to watch these kinds of movies."  Elisa finished.

Hearing them, Anaya had an awkward expression. "But... " she began to say but before she could say something else, Rudra shot "What about Dheer? You didn't take his name for the movie."

When Dheer signed the "one-year marriage contract" he didn't know that it would be the regret of his life...If he had known he would have made it a lifetime contract.

But a dream stopped him from making more mistakes. 

Dreams are now guiding him to make the right decisions.

Will he be able to change the flow of time with the help of those dreams?

"Stop staring Dheer. You're gonna bore a hole on her face" Elisa growled.

"I can't... She's looking too beautiful today and attracting all that unwanted attention from unwanted people" Dheer frowned.

"It's her friend Dheer, and they are just having a chat there"

"How can she smile that way towards other men. It's unacceptable. She's never shown that smile towards me except for those in my dreams" Dheer grumbled.

"Yes, and those dreams are your future and you know it. You just have to win her heart for that future to happen" 

"You bet. I'll make sure that each and every one of my dreams about us being together will come true. I'll change the flow of time and make sure that my first dream will never come true" he was determined to never lose her.

The room Jie created was huge. He led the other three down stairs and left the three girls outside. In front of them was an area as big as a soccer field. They were amazed by it. Jie said with pride, “I didn’t know that you can change the room, but after figuring it out, you just have to focus and imagine on where you want to change while holding the room’s handle outside. God will also amend any imperfection you have. Just like this training ground.”

This training ground was separated into a few areas. There’s a target practice field, a long distance running field, an obstacle running field, and a close combat platform.

“Starting today, everyday from 8am to 12pm, 1pm to 6pm, and 7pm to 12am. We will train non-stop. We won’t see any results on our body with just these few days so we will start with shooting and close combat. You will also have to run and test your limits. Once you know your limits you can plan ahead in the movies. Anyway, there is a lot of training we have to do.”

Jie gave everyone a description of the purposes of each training area. Long distance running and obstacle running was obvious. Close combat was necessary, shooting was an important factor in sci-fi movies. Everyone agreed to his plans.

Zheng asked, “What about guns? Do we go exchange them for training? Or are we using your desert eagle?”

“Didn’t I say you can create anything in your room? It’s just that you can’t take many of these things out of the room. Go take a look at that storehouse. I exchanged a magazine on guns, then created them according to the descriptions. You can also test the power of sci-fi weapons. Even though they are expensive, you should probably exchange for one when you have the points.”

Xiaoyi exclaimed then ran toward the target practice field. Lan sighed. “You probably can’t create magical weapons in this room, right?”

Jie nodded. “No. I kept trying but couldn’t create them. God probably put a restraint on this.”

Lan touched her forehead. “The most difficult movies are probably the supernatural ones. God wouldn’t let us get familiar with this type of weapon to increase their difficulty. Anyway, if I have the points I will probably only get one sci-fi weapon and spend the rest on magical weapons. That’s what I am planning.”

Zheng and Jie nodded. Especially Zheng, that 1500 points didn’t go to waste.

Jie spent the rest of the afternoon teaching them how to use guns. Of course, other than testing out sci-fi guns for fun, they put their focus on normal guns, especially on their shooting accuracy. Lan and Xiaoyi spent the whole time doing target practice.

Jie led Zheng to the combat platform. Jie only spent 100 points on his gun and the rest enhancing himself. He probably was also in the army back in the real world. He’s much more experienced than Zheng in close combat. It only took a while for him to knock down Zheng.

Jie shook his head. “Not enough. Your speed and strength are there but you can’t keep calm. You have much more strength than before so you can’t control the punches you throw. Learn how to control your speed and power the first few days. Then you will have to learn to use your abilities. We will depend on you for the next movie.”

Zheng nodded. He definitely felt he couldn’t control his strength, and he’s rather curious on his Qi. Was it as amazing as the novels described it? The punches he received from Jie could knock a normal person out, but it was only painful at first then he felt a warm sensation moving through his body and the pain dissipated.

The four of them had dinner at Jie’s room. Then Zheng brought Lori back. On the way back, he was still thinking of the training. He figured out the function of Qi. Other than lessening pain, when he spread it through his body, his speed and strength would double. That was the only time he beat Jie in combat. Jie couldn’t even do anything against that kind of power. But then he could barely move for ten minutes. Seemed like this could only be used in danger.

Zheng still hadn’t figured out how to use the blood energy yet. Since it’s on the same rank as Qi, it shouldn’t be too weak.

“Ahem!”

It woke Zheng up from his thoughts. Lori was standing in front of him with a red face. She seemed mad at him. “You’re walking with me and your mind is elsewhere. Are you regretting you didn’t create another beautiful woman when you saw those two women? I am just a teen, mature women are more attractive, is that what you’re thinking?”

He held onto her hands and smiled. “I am thinking about this afternoon’s training. I will tell you everything if you want to know. Be confident with yourself. You know there were almost a hundred guys trying to date you in school. And you know I’ve always liked you, how could I have think about someone else?”

She looked at him for a while, then smiled. “Then you will tell me in a bit how you spent these years. You just said you will tell me everything right?”

Zheng was startled then he forced a smile.


“Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?” The world changes when you click YES. In God’s dimension, you have to keep getting stronger, keep evolving to survive one horror movie after another. Do you kill everyone in your way to reach the end as a lone king? Or fight along with your comrades and survive through the support of friends? Everything was just for staying alive. Until you find the secret of God’s dimension. Who is the real enemy? 

Still at the Mehra mansion...

Desha was already back from the university, Yuvi was yet to return from work. But just some few minutes before dinner was served he returned from work.

Namaste dad, namaste mum, hi Desha, he greeted everyone sited at the table. Namaste son, his parents replied and Desha said namaste Yuvi.

Yuvi? Yes mum? Please freshen up and join us at the dinning  table. Ok mum, replied Yuvi. He then went upstairs to his room, freshened up, got dressed and came downstairs to have dinner with his family.

As soon as he came downstairs, the dinner was served. In the middle of their dinner, Purhab spoke up and said, kids I have an important announcement to make.

What is it dad? Yuvi asked. Please tell us what it is Desha replied. Well kids, it is about your grandparents. After the prayers at Udi mountain was completed, they decided to stay in a nearby village and live with the locals.

But not to worry kids, they said they would be visiting us sometime and that would give your mum and I the opportunity to take you on a trip sometime to visit your parents over there.

Ok dad, said Desha. But Dad can I bring Natasha along with me sometime? I mean if the family happen to travel over there before our wedding?

Yes you can son, she is welcome to come with us, she is like a daughter to us son, and your sis Desha will have someone to chit chat with other than your mother. It will all be fun.

Thanks dad, you welcome son. Now that everything is settled, can we please finish our dinner, it is getting cold, said Lakshmi. Ok mum, everyone including her husband Purhab replied at the same time.

At Delhi Cinemas...

This was the third movie that Sonal and Jasmine were watching, they had both informed their parents respectively that they are at Delhi cinemas and won't be home until dark.

Before they left earlier to Delhi cinemas, Sonal had also instructed one of the guards to drive Jasmine's car back to her house. 

Jasmine is one that didn't like taking bodyguards, she was just like her fiancée Rohit. Rohit never liked using bodyguards either.

It was around 9pm that the movie ended, when they came out of the cinemas, Sonal said to Jasmine, it was a great idea we bought tickets for the bodyguards and driver aswell.

I mean it won't be right to leave them outside, they are guarding and protecting us and it is only right if they are with us inside the cinemas.

Well Sonal I wouldn't argue with you, I naturally don't like taking bodyguards along with me and I like driving myself most of the time. I Only use drivers for emergencies. Alright Jasmine, we should head home now, it is pretty late said Sonal.

Yes, Tang Ning and President Mo movies are exceptional. Stupid 1 and 2 and the last one we watched, what was it again? asked Sonal. Yes it is The Black Ant replied Jasmine.

Wow, their movies are great, I agree with you Sonal. We should do this again. And we should watch their other movies also.

Yes we should, I remember Tang Ning and President Mo produces great Sci Fi movies alot, I was just a little girl, about 6 years old when I heard of them. 

Back then I didn't really Know who they were all I could remember was hearing Sci Fi movies anytime their names were mentioned.

I used to think then that they were Indians with strange names, I was really embarrassed when I was overseas, when a Chinese couple described who they were to me.

I heard them talking about Tang Ning and President Mo, so I asked them who these famous people were.

They then explained to me that they are the father and mother of Sci Fi movies in China, they are Chinese celebrities and their 3 kids are famous aswell.

When I went back to my hostel, I researched more about Tang Ning and President Mo Ting, they are grand parents aswell.

By this time they were already sited in the car. Just as the driver started the car, Sonal instructed him to drop Jasmine at her family home first before they proceed to the Arora mansion.

Alright young miss, the driver replied as he drove the car in the direction of the Singh's mansion.

They continued their chit chat in the car that they did not realise that the car had pulled over at the Singh's mansion.

We are at the Singh's mansion young miss, the driver said. Jasmine thanked Sonal and the driver, came down from the car and went inside her family home.

After Jasmine exited the car, the driver then proceeded with the car heading to the Mehra mansion. 

Along the way, Jasmine slept off in the car. When the car stopped in front of Mehra mansion, the driver then said, young miss, we are at the Mehra mansion.

Jasmine was not in deep sleep. She opened her eyes and thanked the driver before exiting the car. She went straight to her room.

She was so exhausted that she did not freshen up, instead as she laid in her bed to rest for few minutes with the intention of freshening up later, she slept off and had a beautiful dream that after the soldier fought for her, they got married.

The driver outside parked the car in the garage and retired to his quarters. The driver too was not left out, he also had his share of dreams.

He dreamt he was a king and had his own castle and people who served him. Truth in reality is that he planned on being wealthy someday. He did not want to remain a driver all his life.
