Niko was taken back at the moment and unsure of where Ivanic could have found such a book, however, his question was quickly answered as Ivanic spoke, "Niko, I've found a small library at the back of the-"

Before Ivanic even got a chance to finish his statement, Niko interrupted, "Not now, someone has entered our territory."

Ivanic's face fell, as he quickly closed his book. Looking towards Niko he asked, "Who?"

Niko shook his head and replied, " I am unsure, my skill doesn't allow me to see their features and instead just feel their presence, I was alerted by the rat men and there should be two intruders making their way up the mountain."

Quickly getting up, Ivanic placed the book down, " Let's prepare then if it's the men from Tera we must prepare for the worst."

Niko nodded as he ordered his spirits to hide near the main entrance and await his command. If anything, he would unleash all of them. They were on home soil therefore, they will be much stronger.

"Bang!"

A loud noise came from the front door. It didn't sound like a polite knock or even an urgent one, and instead more like a rude kick.

Niko and Ivanic looked towards one another, as both nodded at the same time.

Outside of the entrance stood two armored men waiting for a response. Their heads were held up high as a hint of superiority was seen in their eyes.

Both men wore the same kind of armor that the protectors of Tera wore making them look like warriors ready for combat.

One of the men decided to walk forward towards the door with a huge grin on his face. He was the taller of the two as his bulky body made him look like a giant. On his back, there was a metallic greatsword, which was almost as tall as him.

Behind him was a shorter man with a slimmer build. HIs helm was almost too big for him as he kept rearranging it to his liking every few seconds. On his waist was a shortsword which looked completely average.

The bigger man raised his foot as he approached the door and released it with force towards it.

"Bang"

"Hehe, hopefully, these punks open up." The bigger man spoke.

"We must be cautious though… They were able to conquer a dungeon, so they must have some skill…" The shorter man was cautious.

"Humph! I bet it was all a fluke." The taller man laughed.

A few seconds went by and the door slowly begins to open, revealing a young man in black robes, wielding a staff. Upon seeing this scene a look of disdain appeared on the protector's faces.

"May I help you?" Niko spoke calmly sizing up the two men.

At this point, Niko could already tell their levels, and to his surprise, they were no stronger than the first protector he ever met, Marcos. Both men were level eleven and ten, which meant if things got to the worst Niko and his spirits would definitely be able to take them on. This made Niko ease up a bit more, but he still needed to deal with what was in front of him.

"Yeh, bring the owner of this castle out at this moment. I have a preposition to make on behalf of Tera." The taller man raised his voice and pumped his chest, as he attempted to intimidate Niko.

Not a single change of expression could be seen on Nikos face, which greatly startled both protectors.

"You're speaking to him." Niko spoke once more, however, this time with a hint of annoyance.

"Isn't it rude to not invite guests in?" The short man in the back threw shots at Niko.

"You both were never my guests, to begin with. I don't remember inviting either of you." Niko smiled.


"Hah! Smart mouth ey!? Listen up!" The tall man spoke loudly and proudly, "We come from Tera! A mighty force from this world created by the founding humans! We are giving you a chance now of joining us, and it all takes a simple action. Give Tera your territory, we swear to give you a leading position in our guild."

In the background, the short man nodded satisfied with the speech.

Silence filled the air, as both protectors stared at Niko.

"Is this all you came here for?" Niko asked unmoved.

Both protectors seemed to be losing their patience as the short man spoke, "You should consider it, its for the best of humanity in this world."

Niko's eyebrows slowly raise showing his displeasure but quickly regains his composure. For the best of humanity? You killed many humans for your own selfish ideas!

"I want to see you out." Niko spoke as he closed the door in front of the men.

Both protectors were startled, they were never expecting such a response.

The taller man looked extremely angry as he grabbed the greatsword behind his back and spoke, "I bet this fucker is alone! He might be the only survivor of his party and somehow received this territory!"

"Wait! Maybe he could be a freak like that old freak form the other mountain…" The shorter man spoke showing his thinking ability.

"Hmph! We should find out! He wouldn't dare offend Tera!" The taller man spoke as he pulled out his greatsword, however before he could even do anything, the trees around him began to make noises. Bushes and the leaves began to move back and forth at the same pattern. Clearely the work of Niko ordeing his spirits to create a scene so these people know not to mess around.

The taller man paused and looked around as he felt a sense of danger coming from his surroundings. He possessed a skill called, [Keen Sense] which made him great combat, due to the fact he was able to read movements and danger much better, and at this moment he was feeling a danger he rarely felt.

Beads of sweat began to appear on his forehead as he began to understand that maybe his partner was right, maybe this man was a freak.

"Let's report back. We must tell the higher-ups and return with more people if we are able to conquer such a great territory, we can expand and take care of those damned pigmen, and take over their territory as well." The shorter man spoke.

Placing his greatsword on his back, the taller man nodded as both walked back down the path.

Su Ru gave Chu Li a look. Taking the cue from it, he nodded and both of them left Xiao Qi to walk into the woods.
Chu Li spotted the Black Eyes.
At first glance, there seemed to be not much of a difference with a pine tree. In fact, its half green made it looked as if it is aging and wilting.
Arriving in front of the Black Eyes, Su Ru pointed at it and asked, "how is it?"
"Amazing!" Chu Li happily commented.
To be able to locate the Black Eyes in such a secluded location, the Public House's resource was truly unpredictable and formidable.
Su Ru smiled. "I showed your drawing to The Protectors, some of them have exceptional memory skills. Because Lady Xiao likes exotic plants, they tend to pay more attention to the plants and trees when we are out," she explained.
As there were not many such plants in The Public House compound, Protectors who brought back an exotic plant were given a small reward. The reward may not be significant, but if it pleased Xiao Qi then it was much more valuable than monetary reward.
"Would a grafting be possible?" Su Ru wondered, but Chu Li had already started digging.
Activating the Sentient Menace, his skin, particularly his palms, emitted a light, golden glow as if they were dipped into some gold powder. Pushing his hands down, the soil softened into a tofu-like consistency enabling him to dig fast.
Su Ru tried to help dig with a sword, but Chu Li stopped her from doing so. the Black Eyes roots were very fragile. A simple mistake and it would be damaged, affecting its growth in the long run.
Su Ru could only watch from the side in amazement. He was like a gold golem; as he dug faster, the glow intensified portraying his growing inner energy. She was impressed.
An hour later, Chu Li successfully dug out the Black Eyes' root and slowly pushed it out. On the side was a sturdy, old pine tree that looked like the Black Eyes. Chu Li dug that out too to use it as a fake.
"Is there a need to transplant the soil too?" Su Ru asked.
When grafting both trees, Chu Li also dug out the soil surrounding it and wrapped them together, ensuring its roots were not exposed to the air.
"This is good enough, let's go!"
"I shall arrange for it immediately!" Su Ru dashed away and quickly brought back two middle-aged Protectors. Without saying a word, they each heaved up a tree easily. Both trees were as thick as one's thighs, measuring about two meters tall each.
"Be careful, don't damage it," warned Su Ru. "They are much more delicate and fragile than a human being!"
"Don't worry, Chief Su, we will treat them like beautiful ladies!" said one of the middle-aged Protectors with a large smile on his face.
Su Ru rolled her eyes at him. "Uncle Chang, you will one day die on a woman's belly!"
Uncle Chang chuckled replying, "nice! That's my favorite way to die!" Su Ru glared at him petulantly and walked away.
Sitting on a rock reading, Xiao Qi put down her book upon seeing Su Ru and Chu Li's return. "All done?" she asked.
"Yup!"
"Let's go then," said Xiao Qi as she stored her book away.
The crowd stood up, got on their horses and rode out of the woods.
Chu Li looked back. The two Protectors were holding the trees tight, following him closely behind. Being innate masters with their inner energies, they were able to ride their horses faster and longer.
As dusk set in, they found a forest to set up camp and rest for the night.
Chu Li walked over to the Black Eyes to check on it. Touching it, he could feel that the tree's vigor was weakening. The tree was so fragile it began to die the second it left its surrounding soil.
He channeled the surrounding trees and plants' spiritual energies into the Black Eyes to invigorate it. Receiving the nourishment, the Black Eyes started to heal back to its vigorous form.
Xiao Qi and Su Ru followed him around and got the Protectors to surround him. They were not taking the threat from the Tempest Temple lightly, lest they gave them a chance to make a move and attack.
In the middle of the night, Chu Li suddenly awoke and activated the Omniscient Mirror. With it, he could see everything within a three-mile radius, and not even the dark could stop him.
He pursed his lips and blew a long whistle, waking the whole forest. "Intruders!" he shouted.
Hearing the whistle, the two Protectors on watch looked at Chu Li.
Chu Li pointed. "there are people coming from that direction, and they are coming fast!"
Everybody had woken up by then. The Protectors drew their swords and got into a formation, surrounding Chu Li, Xiao Qi and Su Ru in the middle. Everybody stayed calm and steady.
Chu Li pointed in the opposite direction. "Another group is coming from that side!"
"Listen to him!" Xiao Qi commanded her men. The Protectors adjusted their formation, with more men moving around to guard both sides.
Su Ru stared at Chu Li curiously. He furrowed his brows, and said, "Instinct, I have very accurate instincts!"
Su Ru twitched her lips and rolled her eyes at him. It did not matter how accurate his instincts were, he did not see any intruders. However, if he was not sure of it, he would not have said a thing.
Moonlight spilled over the forest like water.
The light seeping through the leaves and branches were enough for the group to see clearly. Two groups of intruders each appeared from the East and West side. Clad in dark attire, they were masked and some even had head wraps on, only showing their sharp eyes.
In one glance, Chu Li could tell that those who covered their heads were monks from the Tempest Temple!
The assailants stormed towards them without saying a word. The Protectors also kept mum. They started battling as if they were all mute.
The four Grandmaster Protectors stood beside Xiao Qi, not joining the fight. The 16 Innate Master Protectors broke up into two separate groups to engage with the two assailant groups.
Chu Li was unable to identify the masked assailants, but there were eight of them from the Tempest Temple. Another 20 of them were from another group and were strong but merciless in their martial art skills.
It was a pressuring battle; the Protectors looked as if their defense would be broken up soon. Even so, they still put up a strong fight and did not intend to be defeated easily. Thus they maintained enough momentum for counter-attacks. The team was strong in their tacit understanding and covered for each other as part of their defense strategy.
Chu Li took a look at the four Grandmaster Protectors. They did not make a move. With the Omniscient Mirror, he discerned that these men would not make a move unless Lady Xiao herself was in imminent danger. Even if there were to be the deaths of Protectors, they would not lift a finger to help at all.
"Hmph!" The grunt came from Uncle Chang, the Protector who was joking with Su Ru. He fell on to the ground, with a sword struck through his chest.
Chu Li's face fell. It may not have been the follower of the Tempest Temple, but they were still assassins nevertheless. Without the members of the temple in the attack, the Protectors would not have had to be this defensive, which meant that he was responsible for the Protector's death!
He swung his right arm suddenly, a cold flash struck through and one of the masked assassins gripped his throat and fell backward onto the ground with a thud.
Chu Li continued to fling his right arm. Flashes of strikes blinded the forest; with each strike, an assassin fell. Suddenly, the situation was reversed. In only four to five breaths, 10 people had fallen. Everyone's attention was now on Chu Li.
Chu Li grasped a flying blade with his right hand and looked coldly at the remaining assassins. His eyes were shining sharp, and under the moonlight, he looked like the terrifying God of Death.
"Retreat!" Somebody called out. The assassins moved backward and left, disappearing from the forest in the blink of an eye.
The Protectors continued to stay alert. Protector Jang was fed a pill, enabling him to quickly sit up while coughing.
Chu Li looked at Su Ru as his eyes widened in surprise. He was pretty sure he saw Protector Jang being stabbed right through the chest. At that moment, Chu Li immediately understood.

Hello my name is Jeffrey Grissom I'm the creator of Pen Protectors I think it's important to always review your work no matter if your a Novelist, Movie Director, screenwriter,ETC, I want to talk about this arc giving it a proper review, just a bit of advice you should never look at a particular work & say to yourself this is the best thing since sliced bread,or this is a piece of monkey crap, I like to look at things from both sides of the spectrum I believe that's how you reach your true potential, just be honest with yourself & when I say that I say that to myself because I screwed up a lot with Pen Protectors Jackpot.


I let my auntie read the first Chapter of Pen Protectors Jackpot Because she is a big reader & actually volunteered to edit it, & when she read the first chapter she basically took a shit me & my confidence as a writer, she thought I was brain dead because she seen so many mistakes, & it did have mistakes no question about that I'll be the first one to tell that, but her comments cut me deep, like the first time I got rejected by my crush back in middle school, it was heart breaking, I was honestly about to give up on Pen Protectors Jackpot & my auntie even told me to give up on it or start over are start something else, she told me it was so bad that she couldn't even edit it.


I was watching I football game with my mom & I just remember being so hurt that I couldn't even get excited for the game; I love my auntie & I respect her honesty however at the same time she told me all of the bad, I Understand why, Pen Protector has two parts, the first part is the novel series with the main story I will probably post Chapter 1 of my 1st manuscript tomorrow so you can get a better feel for the characters but the first part is just for paper back novels, I'm not signed with a publishing company yet so none of my book are in stores but God Willing that's what I'm aiming for?in the near future & it will be a good way to put some money in my pocket, the second part is completely free here on Webnovel you can read my works as much as you like on here it's all love, part 2 is just random individuals that want to challenge Kanye & part 1 is the main story line, like I said I will post chapter 1 of my future 1st book tomorrow so you can get a good idea of what the main story is like.


To back track about my auntie taking a absolute shit on my work I just want to say don't give up just cause someone doesn't think your work is good; I'm reminded of a running back that played for the Minnesota Vikings & is actually still playing today that goes by the name of Adrian Peterson in 2011 he tore every ligament in his leg & was told he may never play football again,then the following season he comes back & wins MVP of the league, I gravitate towards stories like that, but so many people have told me I can't do this are that & they sure as hell told me I couldn't be a writer as well, the great Ray Lewis once said when you get pissed off get pissed off for greatness, so when my auntie told me that I got Pissed off not at her but her opinion of me as a writer I will never forget that night that's what going to drive me to write better stories, to write better characters, to write better just in general; that's the reason why I believe one day Pen Protectors will succeed, basically what I'm saying is if you have something you want to do in life you do it, it any thing yoh don't have to be being a writer, it can't be anything, work your tale off & go get it, I didn't give up on Pen Protector Jackpot & the result got it over 14k reads thats not much but I'm proud of that because I have never had that many people care about what I was writing I'm greatful to everyone who read Pen Protectors Jackpot


Now let's get into the review starting off with the errors


( SHORT CHAPTERS) The length that I wrote a chapter was inconsistent one chapter would be over 1k word then the next would be just under 5 hundred word a story can't grow like that it was me being lazy



2.( Character development) I Understand where I messed up with Razor he could have been a way better villain I did a poor job with his character & it was unacceptable


( CONFUSION) the story was never going to be about Shaquille Williamson he was only there to add more value to Kanye & the hunt in trying to kill him people got confused about who was the main character


( LACK OF CONFLICT IN FIGHT) I didn't add much adversity to the fights minus the Iickime vs the paprika brothers


5.( NO BACK STORY ) I was inconsistent with giving major villains a back story like Tyrone Cobbs he could have been way more condescending

(Dialogues) I believe I gave every character in Jackpot their own voice & let them be them I enjoyed writing their dialogue


( Kanyes build up ) the story will always be centered about Kanye Lupe ( the main Character) I did a decent job in his progression in the story



( sparking Emotions) When Razor killed all the reporters at the press conference I added over 200 fictional names to make it more realistic by doing that it adds more tragedy & grief


(Protecting Characters In fights) Odonus is my home run hitters I can't just put him in fight & have him lose consistently


5.( Foreshadowing) I did a decent Job of showing & not telling that kept the audience in suspense ( I consider Alfred Hitchcock my mentor)


That's basically what I wanted to put out Pen Protectors Jackpot is not a masterpiece but it's not the worst arc in the world either; I Understand that my next ARC has to be better; I also want to talk about the future of Pen Protectors, i Don't see myself writing Pen Protectors pass the age of 34, I'm 27 now so I have a little bit of time to complete both parts but that's not going to be easy, my goal is simple I want to write cool stories for everyone to enjoy & make them memorable, my Goal isn't just to be a novelist for a living I have a life, & I understand that leisure time is important for mental health, so I'm going to be on hiatus for a while at least until the first Thursday in June, until I drop my next Arc, until then I will be taking notes & researching biographies to make better characters so until then i will see in the summer; there are so many cool Books on Webnovel way better then Pen Protectors Jackpot I just hope that you will be patient & look forward to my next arc, there is plenty more I want to the discuss but I think this will be it for now, you can expect 2 short stories to be published in April & December so I hope that will satisfy you at least In April, I will be back & I promise to be more dominant, this is not my Job, this is not my hobby, this is not my occupation, I don't see writing like that I see it as a sport, a sport that want to conquer; so when I come back your gonna see the difference until then God bless all of & be safe .

Kanye Lupe has to write a 1000 chapter novel in 10 years with super humans & dark villains gunning for his head

A month has passed. A month of nothing but endless reading, sleepless nights and tiring practice in the Kingdom of Druids. Kage, Samantha and I have searched each book of the castle's library but nothing. It has no paper or note or book about The First Circle. While we researched in texts and sculptures; Lavender and Logan trained the others in their skills and tried to find what are the extreme they can go to. Kage's Uncle Maximo also, The King of Druids welcomed us with open arms and have given us free reign to go anywhere at anytime. He's been kind but Kage's father seemed off. According to Eleanor, his aura was not normal. It was black and nothing else.
For now, we all are in our chamber which is shared by all of us and we are writing down all we know.
"So, what we know is Aria sent us here but she didn't mention why do we need to be here. She mention that along with Mallou and her, there was another witch who were the protectors of the First Circle." Jared started the discussion and broke the silence.
"Yes, Matilda but we don't know her last name and we also, don't know that whether they all used to reside in the same place or not." Eleanor stated. "But tweedle dee, if Mallou used to live in Starxwarth and from what Sam saw in her visions, Aria was a Nature witch and the only Kingdom which is kind to Nature Witches is Druid's Kingdom then Matilda has to be somewhere nearby." Xavier pointed out and Eleanor glared at the use of the nickname.
Winter stood up and ran using her super speed and when she returned, she had few maps in her hand. She sat down and opened the map. "Five Kingdoms are under Straxwarth who work as allies- Kingdom of Druids, City of Winchester, Kingdom of Vado, City of Luna and City of Dryad. Straxwarth is in the middle. The five allies of Straxwarth when joined make a pentagon and when all the lines are joined, it makes a star." Winter drew it on another piece of paper. We all looked at her in order for her to explain more.
"A star or a pentagon is used as a Wicca sign. Wicca is a religion now but was known as witchcraft few centuries back. Each corner of pentagon signifies each element. In the middle of the pentagon is Straxwarth." Winter tried to hint us and finally Zev and I realized what she was talking about.
"Starxwarth had one protector, Kingdom of Druid had another, which means there were not three but six protectors. If three were murdered by the Coven witches that means there is a fair chance of the other three being alive." Zev gasped. "But what about the Circle of Chosen?" Logan questioned.
"The Circle of Chosen was never there." I realized. I have had this feeling that whatever we wanted to search was right in front of us. It was all in front of us since the day our powers manifested but never ever we realized it because it was hiding in plain sight.
"What do you mean Circle of Chosen was never there? We have the photos and everything. We've heard stories, Mon." Devorah questioned with confusion.
"There was a Circle of Chosen but just the first one. After that, there were Protectors. They took an oath to protect something that no one knew. Something which could be used against the coven witches." Kage spoke in realization. I nodded.
"Come on guys think about it. Lavender and me are from Straxwarth, Kage and Axel are from Kingdom of Druids, Devorah and Eleanor are from City of Luna, Samantha and Zev are from Kingdom of Vado, Jared and Xavier are from City of Dryad while Logan and Winter are from City of Winchester. My aunt knew Lav and me." I started to join the dots of something deeper.
"Aria found Kage when the moment was right, that means she knew us too." Axel said.
"We had an aunt who died when we were very young but no one talks about her in the kingdom." Eleanor said. "She was said to be on the wrong place at the wrong time."
"Matilda must be our aunt, I guess." Devorah added.
"That means we need to find that from the other three allies, who was extra ordinary enough to be a Protector." Xavier concluded our discussion. We looked at the map and silence surrounded us. "But then what are we? How do you explain our powers?" Lavender looked at us and we sighed. "Eleanor, during the meeting in Straxwarth. It was mentioned that, there will be another Circle of Chosen who will have the same powers as first ones had." Jared stated and Kage, Eleanor and I nodded. 

"That means the protectors were supposed to be working till we get chosen. We are the ones but the question still lingers." Devorah closed her eyes and sighed. "Why?" Eleanor muttered the question and that started our thought process. But still it feels like there is something between the lines. Something, which will change a lot.

The night looked dangerous as I looked at it but the stars and light made it soft, more peaceful to look at. I opened the book in my hand and read the first page. "Elementalist." Hmm, sounds interesting. I flipped the page and started reading. Nyx had written about the origination of the first Elementalist. She wrote about the powers and control the first one had. As I turned the pages, I read about the powers that I can harness. It had explanation and tricks to control over flowing emotions but it didn't explain my silver eyes and the purple lightening in my hands. I turned to another page and I saw a small letter.
"Dear Mon,
I don't know where you are right now but just think that I'm missing you which I am. I know that you are going to find out things that my mother hid from me. I found the letter in the bag I gave you but when I saw it was addressed to you, I knew you were not just a woman with strong powers. You were meant to fulfill something. I don't know what but something. I don't know how much help this information will be but I thought I should share.
We visited City of Luna before my mum passed. We met a woman there, Matilda Ester. She is Marina's grand niece. My memory is being foggy but she talked about the Birth of Firsts. She also made sure that my mum wrote a letter to you and it should reach you when in need. She was scared and confessed that the twins ( I suppose she must me talking about the Lancaster twins.) are beautiful and kind even for ten year olds. She also said that the other protectors are in hiding. She mentioned a place but I couldn't find it on any map. The place was called the Royal Temple. 
I hope that place must have the information you all need and maybe you'll find those protectors Matilda was talking about.

The Royal Temple, Birth of Firsts and Matilda being Marina's grand niece - which means Marina killed her own kin but for what. What was she seeking that she banished Nature Witches and killed the protector of Three Kingdoms? Was it for power that we have?
That can't be because we were born with it. 
But then what would she need so desperately?

"I can't be the person you want me to be!" she yelled with the power she held inside. People looked at her and it was hard to believe. Because the things they see, she can't see. 
The sky turned black waiting for the storms arrival. The thunder shouted in the chaos of mundane while the lighting striked in anger. The lighting struck in the shape of a crown behind her. 
"I'm not the person you want me to be." she broke down and cried. People didn't believe her because she doesn't see what they see.

When Marcus got back to the classroom a few people were already there and after he sat down a couple people came over asking him questions like, "so where are you from?" and "what ability do you have?" He didn't respond instead he looked away from them to the screen at the front of the class room. The screen instructions read, "students to your seats please." Seeing him look over a few of the other kids did too and after reading it they went back to their seats wondering why he ignored them. Most of them just thought he was stuck up or rude but Marcus just didn't want to answer them. The screen started a video after all the students had sat down, giving them a brief history lesson. The video showed different pictures of past events as it started, "the year was 2158 when the first people were born with the abilities that are known today's as protectors and damsels. While men have shown abilities in increased strength, speed, and defense, women have shown an increase in intelligence and the ability to summon protectors they have formed a bond with. It has now been almost over four hundred years since their first discovery and now majority of our population is either a protector of damsel. Though due to how different the abilities can show most protectors can only be seen as above average while others have shown to have above super human abilities; but those abilities were in a very small minority, as such the world is changing to accommodate these changes. Laws have been passed for damsels and protectors giving them rights to protect themselves and each other in dire situations, as all things are with a lot of good in the world there are a lot of bad as well. But thanks to the continued work of the four families we have been enjoying years of peace." It listed the names of the four families on the board as it mentioned them, the names went by, "Geaia, Ifirt, Shiva, and Tenro" the video continued, "after dealing with the Bahamut family ,aka the Demon family as they had been referred to due to the horrible deeds they committed in an attempt to take over the government and establish a dictatorship. The four families worked closely with the government setting up the war arena as well as helping with laws and regulations. All of this leading up to this school, set up years ago this school is here to help train the more super powered protectors and damsels. Whether your goal is to join the ranks of one of their families or not this school is here for you all. The video ended and Mr. Douglas came back in to the class, he began tell the students more about what they offered as a school. By the end of school everyone was ready to go after having their ears talked off, when Marcus reached the gate to leave the school area he found Amber waiting for him. He walked her home like he said he would and to his surprise her house was huge almost a mansion, she smiled, "thanks for walking me home and sorry if I talked your ear off I just don't really have many friends in school so it's nice to just chat." He nodded, "it doesn't bother me your mine damsel now I should at least be here for you when I can be." She smiled, do you mind if I eat lunch with you from now on?" Marcus shrugged, "if you want to." She waved by and had the thought that she never asked what type of protector he was, when she went to turn around she felt a light gust of wind and he was gone. She smiled realizing he had to be a super human speed type.
           The week passed with nothing big happening just a bunch of orientation and showing around, Amber and Marcus had gotten closer as she would chat with him during lunch and when walking home. He had found that she could in fact summon him without passing out but only once then she'd need to rest for a few hours. During the next week they were informed they would be using the pool for PE class and they needed to bring clothes for that, when the PE class ended he walked over to Ms. Smith who was the PE teacher. She looked at him, "yes Mr. Mortem what do you need?" Marcus sighed, "is it ok if I wear a shirt with my shorts during tomorrow's pool PE class?" Ms. Smith felt it was an odd question but gave him and answer, "yes that's acceptable, but if you don't mind me asking why?" Marcus half shrugged, "I have a scar or two that I'm a bit self conscious about." Ms. Smith nodded, "that's completely understandable." The next day during the pool class he continued to get looks as he was the only guy with a shirt on while the guys seemed to be flaunting their bodies. After a few planed workouts Ms. Smith let them just have fun in the pool, Marcus was the only one to get out of the pool and open a book to read. While Ms. Smith was talking with some of the other female students a few male students approached Marcus. The first one spoke up asking if he'd remove his shirt as they had a bet going and wanted to see who was right, one of the other guys said they though he had an embarrassing body he was worried about. The third guy laughed and said it had to be a disgusting birthmark or something like that, Marcus ignored them like he always did but to his surprise they were ready for this and the three of them grabbed him pulled him to his feet then using their strength and all three pulling a different way they ripped his shirt off. This action gathered everyone's attention and the three laughing boys that were curious now fell back to the ground feeling fear, what they uncovered was a torso the was riddled with scars. As the frozen room stared they couldn't help but notice that some of the scars went to his legs and arms that were showing before his shirt ripped off but they didn't pay much mind to it. Ms. Smith looked and could see stab scars, burn scars, even gun shot scars. Many of these scars would have definitely been life threatening injuries when they happened, only a few of them noticed past the scars his body was that of sculpted muscle. Each muscle looked like he had trained it to its upmost, he looked at the three of them then sighed and sat back down opening his book again and began reading. This simple act seemed to get Ms. Smith back out of the shock, "alright guys stop staring get back to your own things." She walked over to Marcus and the three boys gave a weak apology then left, she looked again at his body before slightly shaking off the staring and asked him, "so these are the one or two scars your self conscious about?" Marcus closed his book, "yeah in truth I don't mind them but I thought they'd be a bit distracting in class." She nodded, "that's very understandable because I'm sure you noticed it was very stared at." Marcus smirked, "ma'am are you telling a student that you couldn't keep your eyes off them?" Ms. Smith slightly blushed at the unexpected flirting but quickly shut it down, "young man it's not appropriate to tease your teacher, but seriously I won't pry I just need to know is everything alright?" Marcus nodded, "yeah this all happened a while ago and I'm fine now, nothing to worry about." She nodded and left for a few minutes coming back with a shirt, "here it's from the lost and found should be ok to wear. He took it and put it on then thanked her, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful besides him hearing that people were talking about his scars but as no one had proof not many people outside the class believed the rumors. After about a week no one brought it up, Marcus was sitting in class when he stood up suddenly startling the class and teacher then an instant later he was gone.

Protectors are guys that have been given the ability of either strength, speed, or defense. Damsels are women that have been given the ability of increased mental aspects as well as the ability to call forth a protector that they’ve formed a pact with. Marcus is the Protector the story follows, his past hold many mysteries but one thing is certain his hatred can’t be stopped by anyone.

"Aid, stand up, please." The female teacher in front asked in a demanding manner.

"Yes ma'am." Aid who sat at the back next to a chubby guy, stood up from his seat with an open book in one of his hands. 

"Aid could you please tell us the answer in number 10?" The female teacher and the rest of the students inside their small classroom turned their attention to the young student.

"The answer is, 2170 meters per hour."

"And can you explain how you got that answer?"

"Ma'am in this problem, it says that Matt drove for 2 hours and the amount of distance he covered is 4340 and we need to figure out how much distance he covered per hour. To find the speed, all I had to do is divide distance and time...." He continued to explain.

The female teacher didn't say anything, she continued to stare and admire the living artwork in front of her. She got charmed by her student's attractive look and listening to his gentle voice made her calm and refreshed.

Even though her male students wore the same attire every day which is: A white long sleeves formal polo shirt, black blazers, and black trousers, Aid still stood out from the rest; Apart from having an attractive face, Aid also has a slender, well-built body.

After finishing his brief explanation, his teacher nodded in response. The teacher stayed quiet for a while, her thoughts appear to be occupied by something else.

The students noticed her weird behavior and asked, "Ma'am? Are you alright?" 

Getting back to reality, the teacher shook her head and faced the whiteboard behind her. 

"A-Ah, Very good! You may sit down now, Aid. It appears that there's only one student here who paid attention to my lessons last year. Now, remember, this is only a review of what I taught you last year and this isn't our real lesson for today so prepare yourselves and start remembering my previous lessons because you will need that for today's activities." She said

The students weren't that surprised after seeing what happened because this same scenario also occurred last year. It seems like something about Aidoneus is making everyone mesmerized. Even the male teachers are sometimes caught being completely dazed after meeting his eyes.

The classes soon ended and it was finally time to go home. Almost everyone inside the classroom went outside to either eat or go straight home except for Aid. He sat comfortably on his chair and did the homework that their teacher had given them. Even though he is sometimes the nerd, no one dares to come and bully him since he is not the type to cry and let bullies bully him.

He would fight back and will sometimes end up in the school principal's office because of beating up a student until they pass out. Although it's obviously wrong, many think he's a cool guy.

"Hey, Aid! Come with us, we plan on going to Macdonalds. Why don't you just do that at home? Why are you even doing those?" Two girls with brown hair came closer to his table and playfully stared at him.

"Aid, we are supposed to do homework at home! Why do you always do it here? Don't you have time to do it at home?"

Aid let out a chuckle and said, "Haha, give me five minutes girls, I'll finish this quickly." He fixed his long hair with slight curls at the end using his slender fingers, he winked at the girls and gave them a charming smile.

(Note: his hair length is just below his nape, it's already considered long for boys.)

"Awww!" Both girls blushed at the sight of the handsome young man in front. They giggled and waved their hands at him before leaving the classroom.

Pathetic, he thought. Even with that thought in his mind, he still had an innocent smile carved on his handsome face. Fooling everyone around, making them believe that he's a kind, perfect student. 

The windows in his classroom suddenly became blurry due to the small droplets of water dropping continuously from the gloomy sky. Thankfully he brought an umbrella with him, he already expected a heavy downpour today. After finishing his homework, he came out of his classroom with his bag and bumped into someone.

He fell on the floor and dropped his glasses, his vision instantly became blurry. He wanted to complain but he didn't see who bumped into him. He stood up and heard a voice.

"Ah, forgive me, young man."

He felt a hand giving him his glasses back, he took them and replied politely, "O-Oh, thank you so much."

He quickly wore his glasses and recognized the man. His blood started to boil when he saw the priest, the priest who often comes to their school. He hated this man but he still smiled, pretending to be a polite young man.

The priest's eyes narrowed, his heart felt like it skipped a beat when the priest flinched in surprise. Did he... Did he notice something? he asked himself.

He then, decided to break the awkward silence between them, "Is something wrong Pastor?"

The priest shook his head and replied, "Uh no, anyway, I should get going. You should go home now child, be careful on your way alright?" The priest patted the boy's shoulder and left.

"Heh." Aid smirked, 'So he didn't notice.' He placed his hands in both of his pants' pockets. He turned his head and looked at the back of the running priest, the golden light emitting from the man earlier was gone.

The aura around the priest turned black and his surroundings somehow became dark, 'Hahaha,' Aid silently laughed. Only he and the hidden creatures beside him knew what happened and why the aura around the man changed.

Aidoneus Orcus: A high school student in 11th grade, 16 years old, 6 feet and 2 inches tall, 162 pounds, always the top student, vice-president of the student council, his birthday is on November the 13th. Everything about his private life outside of school is unknown.

After school, Aid will sometimes go out with his friends or head to his house. It was raining heavily and the breeze was strong yet, Aid continued to walk slowly as if it didn't bother him at all. He stood near the bus stop and waited for the bus. There were some students nearby, waiting for the bus as well.

Aid suddenly heard a female's voice beside him, he failed to recognize whose voice it was, no, he never heard a voice as angelic as this one. "Well, aren't you Aidoneos Orcus?"

He turned his head and his eyes met hers. This girl's height is just above his shoulders, she has ocean eyes which resembled someone who he once knew, she also has navy blue hair and fair skin.

"Ah, yes? Is there something you need?" He asked her politely and did not forget to wear a nice smile.

He looked directly at the girl but his charm didn't seem to work because the girl showed no reaction.

"Hhm? Look at that handsome face of yours, surely you have a ton of girls chasing you around no matter where you go, no?" 

Aid didn't know how to respond to this girl whom he just met so he simply said, "Well thank you. I also think that you have a lot of gentlemen who are willing to do anything you wish. You are very attractive yourself."

"Thanks, I appreciate that Mr. Aid."

"Oh please, just call me Aid." He said politely. The bus finally appeared and the girl quickly attempted to enter but Aid suddenly get a hold of her hand, "May I know your name before you go lady?"

"Of course, the name's Violet."

He is currently sitting down on a black couch, in front of a tv and a coffee table. His feet are placed on top of the table and his attention is focused solely on the book he's reading.

"In the year 2020 to 2021, a pandemic caused the whole Earth plenty of problems and crisis. Many died because of the virus and those who survived and withstood the virus discovered something unusual and extraordinary by accident when they were searching for the cure. After discovering 'them', a miracle happened and the dangerous virus eventually stopped spreading. The remaining people who survived created the organization called 'Holy church'."

"They created a ton of branches all around the world and studied the strange things they saw just before the virus ended. They called them 'Protectors' and 'Guides'. These protectors provided them information and protection. Every human on this planet has their protector but only a few humans are strong enough to communicate with their protector and only a few of these beings are allowed to communicate with noncelestial entities. These people are called 'Chosen'."

"Once the host and the protector started communicating, the host's body will start to evolve and they would develop nonhuman skills. Things like that occur because when the protector and the host meets, a contract is automatically generated. This contract means that the host will be able to borrow their protector's power."

"Because of this, it became easy for the priests who belong to the Holy Church to revive earth. They separated the world into about 30 different countries. If their protector has the power to protect their host then why do they have to create a contract allowing their host to borrow their power? It is because some celestial beings are not permitted to hurt a noncelestial being meaning, they cannot protect their host from another noncelestial being."

"After so many years, all the church's hard work and labor were finally seen. In the year 2078, humans were once again living their previous life but better than before. Everything went well until the year 2080 came, an unexpected group of visitors appeared on Earth. The protectors called them 'Demons'. Almost half of the people who are now called 'Chosen' lost their minds because the demons killed their protectors."
