In the end Magnus never got to brew his potion that day. He kept chatting with Tonks and got to know her well. She's a sixth year preparing for her N.E.W.T.s with the goal of becoming an Auror. Magnus got to know interesting information from her as she spoke about the O.W.L.s and the N.E.W.T.s exams. Tonks seemed like a nice girl and was a veritable source of information regarding many topics. And the best of all? She's a Metamorphmagus. How awesome is that? And her magical level was among the highest he had seen among the senior students at 52. Charlie was a 50 and he was among the best. 
Tonks always searched for abandoned classrooms to study for her exams as her common room was way too noisy. Most subjects were manageable but potions had always been a tough subject for her. She always wondered how Snape let her in for the N.E.W.T class. Maybe he took pity on her? Who knows, but she made it in with a grade of EE instead of the usual O required by Snape. Then again there were too few students willing to take N.E.W.T level potions so there's that.
When she first saw Magnus with a potion's setup, she thought it was another first year in over his head. They get a few of them every year especially in Ravenclaw. But his prowess at healing and the way he answered her probing question about potions made her think otherwise. 'Hmm, just maybe,' she had an idea.
"Hey Magnus, how about we make a deal?" she questioned.
'Just what I wanted,' Magnus thought in glee but he didn't show it on his face. He read about a book on negotiations from his father's stash during the holidays and he was itching to try. "What do you have in mind?" he asked nonchalantly.
"How about you help me brew some potions and I'll teach you some cool spells?" Tonks offered.
"I only know potions curriculum up to the third year," Magnus revealed. Well he did learn some potions not taught in class but she doesn't need to know that.
"Only up to third year he says! You seem smart and I can see you brought the ingredients for the Wit-Sharpening Potion. That's a fourth-year potion at the very least. I want you to supply me some of the Wit-Sharpening Potions you make, when you make them. They are in great demand for students preparing for the O.W.L.s and the N.E.W.T.s. There's always more demand than supply and the prices of the potion skyrockets during this time. I would've liked to brew them myself, but I have other subjects to worry about. What do you say?" Tonks offered. It's cumbersome to get potions from the outside not to mention their cost. While there are some good students in her class that do brew and supply them but they were mostly from Slytherin so that's a no. 
"Why don't you ask your year mates?" Magnus questioned curiously. Surely, they would be better than a first year?
"It's not that easy. There aren't many students taking N.E.W.T level potions. Those that can and are willing to brew ask for a price I'm not willing to pay. Besides they don't easily sell them, less competition for them that way. And don't even talk about the other years. The professors don't look kindly upon the students who take the potions despite them knowing most do. They just let it slide as long as it doesn't become public knowledge. I don't trust others to keep it a secret," Tonks clarified.
'So, you trust me? You met me an hour ago!' Magnus's face showed his thoughts. Tonks noticed his expression and said righteously," I got a good feeling about you firstie. You are a healer, right? Keeping your patient's secrets is part of the duty."
"Right. Hmm, I can manage that, but the price you pay needs to change. I can learn enough spells by myself from the library," Magnus shrugged.
"I can help you catch girls," Tonks teased.
"What will I need girls for? If I want them for something, I can catch them myself," Magnus retorted.
'Ugh, right he's still a kid. His way of talking makes him sound older,' Tonks sighed." Then why don't you tell me what you want?"
"You are planning to be an auror right? So, you must be good at dueling. How about you teach me that?" 
"I don't see what a kid like you want to learn dueling for, but alright. Keep in mind though, I'm not the best at it," Tonks shrugged.
"It's alright. You must be better than me and that's all that matters. Why don't you also teach me one or two spells while you are at it?" 
"Sure, I guess."
"And I need a lock of your hair once in a while," Magnus suggested. This was what he really wanted ever since he heard she was a metamorphmagus.
"What do you need that for? You aren't going to curse me, are you? No funny business!" Tonks said seriously with folded hands.
"Don't worry, I'm not such a guy. There's a certain potion that needs the hair of a metamorphmagus. You are the only one I know and you are pretty brilliant," Magnus offered the last part to placate her.
"Damn right I'm brilliant. Alright I'll give you some, but you have to show me whatever you brew," Tonks relented.
"You have my word," Magnus agreed." How about you also teach me about catching girls? You know just in case."
"You cheeky little shit," Tonks put him into a choke and gave him a noogie. She calmed down eventually and agreed on the condition that he'll heal her for free whenever she asks and to also help her revising potions. Magnus readily agreed. He would have healed her anyway if she came to the medical wing so he's not losing much. He just needs to read up ahead to help her revise potions. Eventually they parted ways and agreed on a time to meet up every week.

Magnus made a beeline to the library. He planned on waiting till next year before learning the higher curriculum so as to not feel bored during the classes, but since he has a reason now, he can simply learn ahead, at least in potions. Classes were just a way to earn points now anyway. 'Ugh, I have to look for another abandoned classroom. At least I made a good deal today. Wait a minute, will "that" help me? Only one way to find out, I guess. Right after hitting the library,' he thought excitedly. 
He collected many potion related books up to the N.E.W.T level as well as any other advanced potion books he could find. He still had the permission slip Madam Pomfrey wrote for him. She never bothered to ask it back so he kept it. This made finding the advanced books easy. Students can find the books if they search hard enough, but that would waste a lot of time and the slip made it all easy. 
Just as he was about to go away, he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was a book placed on one of the higher shelves that seemed out of place. The other books around it were all related to magical subjects, but his one was titled "How to scrub your cat." No book about scrubbing cats could be that thick. He pulled down the book with a levitation charm. It was heavy and when he touched the cover on all sides, he smiled. It was another tricky book. He always made sure to check the books in the library for any sort of hidden tricks. Apart from the nasty hexes that the librarian put on some books to prevent defacing them, some books were hidden using other means. A charm that changes the name or a false cover were the common types. This one seemed to belong to the latter. He didn't remove the cover though. It would make it easy to check it out of the library if it looked normal. A quick [Identify] and the [Instant Read] option showed which 200 points to read it only further proved his guess.
He tapped himself with his wand as he approached the counter. It was a charm to make himself smell like a fresh book. It took him a while to understand what made the librarian, Madam Pince, tick. She seemed to hate everything except books. Roger got the scolding of his life once when he scratched a book cover. 
"Good day to you Madam Pince. You seem to be becoming beautiful by the day, just like a book," he greeted her. That's the best he could do on a short notice. Madam Pince looked up from whatever book she was reading and looked at him questioningly. Her eagle nose and parchment like skin tone gave her a stern countenance. "What is it Mr. Webb?"
'At least she's not sneering so that's a win. And she remembers my name. This should go well.' "I need your assistance in checking out some books Madam Pince," he spoke confidently. Madam Pince nodded her head and looked over the books he placed on the counter. She looked at them one by one. Whenever she stopped at an advanced book to stare, he would complement her and she would move on. He had her ticks down by now and he would not allow her to reject any book. Finally, she was done and he placed the books in his sling bag and he was off. 
'Done at last! The things I do for the sake of knowledge,' he lamented. It was time for dinner so he went to the Great Hall. The Weasley twins seemed too busy these days as they huddled together wherever they are. 'Probably found some new toy. They'll tell me later anyway, no need to ask.' He ate a meal with his housemates and went back to their dorms later. He took out all the books he borrowed once he reached his bed and placed them on the study table. Of course, the titles of the books were all changed now and looked like different history books. And just as he expected Roger was checking them out from afar. 'Oh Roger, you never learn.' 
He picked the false book and got onto his bed. 'Let's see your true face,' he peeled back the cover of the book slowly. It was a fake hard cover stuck over the real cover. Once it was done, the book was revealed to him, "Most Potente Potions."

Jameson left the room not long after. He passed through the wall like it was nothing, making Elliot gulp. Jameson could easily walk in on him if he ever changes clothes or when he tweak the Twilight Cocoon or some other things in his Console.
Shaking the awkward thoughts away, Elliot crawled to the corner where the Twilight Cocoon was. He pulled the covers and saw the red cocoon on the stick.
With the Twilight Brew in his hand, Elliot let the cocoon absorb the liquid. The Twilight Brew was accepted easily and it burst into the light as it absorbs like it usually does
"Now I have five," Elliot whispered to himself. He placed the Adamant Jade in his Invetory and just as expected, the Manual dumped it.
'Quest [ Adamant Jade ] completed.'
He sat on the floor and analyzed the information he got with a sigh.
First the Adamant Jade had an almost infinite amount of Arcane Points. If he could get his hands on another one, he was sure he could take on both the Oracion Alma and the Fallen Angels. They were both after the Twilight Bless, if Elliot could hold them back, they would win.
He was going to ask Jameson if he could find another one of it. He was also going to ask Isabelle the next day since she told him she and Kian were going to watch their fight.
The other information Elliot got was about the Book of the Beginning. It was a collection of texts from sears. They have been watching over the world since the beginning and they were taking down both history and the future on the three books.
With these information, Elliot could move on with his goal. He got two more Twilight Brew from the time he spent with Jameson. He was sure that the Manual would give him the other quests so he could finish the task.
And just like it was on cue, his Console rang and three notifications sprung up.
'New quest [ The Book of the Middle ] available.'
'New quest [ The Creator's Heart II ] available.'
'New quest [ Chairs to Heaven ] available.'
Elliot was glad that the Manual gave him three quests. This meant that his journey of hatching the cocoon was getting closer to an end.
He can finally finish the quest and watch what will happen to the Twilight Cocoon after it hatches. The worst case scenario was for it to explode or to cause a large scale devastation.
But there was a slight hint of hope in Elliot's mind that the cocoon would bring him good luck. He was confident that it contains something that would help them in the future.
Reading the first quest, Elliot sighed. It was one of the risky quests the Manual likes him to do.

For the third one, Elliot was going to meet Madam Locraine. There was no other antique collector that the Manual would like for him to meet.
He was assuming that the woman had information for him. This was the pattern for the Manual. Whenever it wants Elliot to meet up with a person he already encountered, it meant that that person has information for him.
There was an irk as to what the information could be. He was curious, and he was going to feed his curiosity.
Elliot watched over the dark skies. He was calculating if he could still get a few hours of sleep when he goes to bed now. Looking at the silent street and the starry skies, Elliot went over to his bed and closed his eyes.
There was a satisfying smirk playing in his lips. "Tonight was a good night."

The morning came and the first thing Elliot heard was a scream. He immediately got up and ran downstairs, taking his sword with him and rushing even when he was only in his pajamas.
"What is he doing?!" Connor gasped. When Elliot got downstairs, the first thing he noticed was the group of men on one corner of the lobby. They were looking at something on the other side of the lobby, and when Elliot turned to see what it was, he saw Jameson with half his body through a wall.
"What are you doing?" Elliot gasped and ran to the man. His friends watched him in grimace as he offered his hand to which Jameson took. "What were you doing with the wall?"
"I was passing through, but I ran out of mana. I slept through the night and just woke up," Jameson replied. "My family has the infamous curse of having very little amount of mana reserve in our blood."
"How long have you been– come here," Elliot pulled him out after Jameson told him that he now has enough mana to pass through. The others behind them weren't so impressed by what just happened, and to think that Elliot was calm when it was happening.
"Elliot, you knew about this?" Lance asked. 
Elliot shrugged and let Jameson sit on the chair in one of the kitchen tables. Jameson looked tired as he sat on the chair, letting Elliot give him a glass of water. He placed his head on the table and closed his eyes, "I'll take a nap."
"How long has it been since he was stuck on the wall?" Elliot turned to his friends.
They were still looking at him, faces filled with looks of confusion. Ed asked, "You knew about his ability?"
"Yeah," Elliot replied. "He went to my room last night and we exchanged information."
"He went to your–" Connor stopped himself. "Elliot, he could have killed us all in our sleep. Why did you trust him that easily?"
"He has information I needed," Elliot replied. "And if he actually wanted to kill us, don't you think he would've did it by now?"
When the others were silent, Elliot nodded knowingly. "I'm too trusting, I know, but I know when to put my trust and where to hide it. Prince Jameson pulls my trust to him, and I'm willing to give it to him."
"Fine," Lance sighed. "But if he turns out to be an enemy, Elliot, I will shave your head."
"Deal," Elliot said confidently. "But I need to talk to you guys about someone else. Someone we might not think we know fully."


It was always Elliot's dream to become an Adventurer.

After they signed the contract, Jack was shaking. He was still traumatized by the amount of pain the knife caused. He also felt light headed because of blood loss.

Why was this game so god damn realistic! After recovering, he looked at Denzel.

"Can you give me a notebook?" Jack asked with a shaky voice.

"Are you sure your alright?" Denzel asked.

"Yeah, yeah. I think I'm fine," Jack replied.

"If you need any help, I have a few potions that I still haven't tried yet that should heal your wounds," Denzel commented.

A shiver ran down Jack's spine. Should? Haven't tried? Hell no!

He thought Denzel was being nice, but he was a fool to think that this NPC would act out of character.

Denzel gave him his note book and a pencil. Jack entered the alchemy room that he had been in before when he forced his summoned aid to drink a suspicious potion.

He took out his book in the basic ingredients and the [Introduction to Alchemical Brewing] and started reading.

"The process of brewing in alchemy is an extremely tedious task. You have to manage the heat of the flames, understand the reactions between your ingredients, and know what processes to use to bring out their best effects. But the main thing you need to do in alchemy is experiment. Without testing and refining your potion recipes, you will not know get your wanted effects and you will not learn anything."

He flipped the page.

"The first step in making a potion, is to prepare your components. Should you cut your ingredients, paste them? Preparing your ingredients is the key to a good foundation for your potion. The next step is to process those ingredients. There are many ways to process your ingredients, some involve boiling them to get the extract of the ingredient, some involve drying to get a fine powder. The final step is to combine all those resulting components into one, creating a potion."

He read through the rest of the book, which took him about two hours and laughed.

It was like a cookbook. He slammed his hand into the table and laughed creepily before coughing and readjusting himself in his seat.

He took out the notebook and began writing. The first thing he wanted to do was to make a functional potion. It didn't need to be good. He just wanted a basic healing potion.

"Hey Denzel!" Jack called.

Denzel entered the room with a creepy smile.

"Do you need something?" He asked.

"What are the most common healing type herb that are found in this area?" Jack asked.

"The most common one is the Vigor Clove. It is priced at about 3 four one bronze," Denzel explained.

Jack flipped through [Basic Ingredients and their Properties] and found Vigor Cloves.

"Vigor Cloves grow in humid areas with low amounts of water in the ground. It can be used to seal wounds as a paste, and if consumed, enhances the speed of the regeneration process by 5%. Like the Heart Orchid, it drains the mana of the user in exchange for the increased speed of regeneration. It is on the weaker side of primary ingredients and have a small effect on the body. The healing affects of the Vigor Clove comes from the liquid it produces, often causing a burning sensation on the area exposed."

This was going to be his main ingredient. He was going to create a potion based off of the Vigor Clove.

He didn't know the best way to prepare the this type of ingredient. It would mostly depend on how he was using it though. He couldn't use it as a paste because that would be useless in the middle of a battle, being extremely hard to apply in the middle of a fight.

So the only way to get this to sell was to make it into an easy to consume potion. The first step would be to enhance its effects as well as lower the burning sensation it causes. He didn't want people to die because they couldn't handle the pain in their throat after consuming the potion.

Looking through book on basic ingredients, he found two possible candidates to help enhance the effects of the Vigor Clove.

They were the Soothing Mint and Frozen Hibiscus. They were both healing type herbs, but they had their differences.

Soothing Mint provided a cooling effect to combat the burning sensation of the Vigor Clove, and increased the speed of blood coagulation so they wounds would seal up faster.

Frozen Hibiscus provided a greater cooling effect then the Soothing Mint, but its healing properties were close to zero. It would slow down blood flow, reducing blood loss, but also weakening the user for a short timeframe. Although it didn't seem that bad, having one second of weakness could change the situation extremely quickly.

Thinking about it, Jack chose the Soothing Mint. There was a problem with the soothing mint though. It had a higher potency then the Vigor Clove. So it was going to be a challenge to keep the Soothing Mint from overpowering the Vigor Clove.

He called for Denzel again, requesting water, Vigor Cloves, and Soothing Mint so he could see what the results would be.

"Oh, trying to come up with your own recipe I see," Denzel said with his creepy smile, staring at Jack.

"I want to create something effective, but cheap to make," Jack explained.

"There are already potions that we are selling. For 50 bronze you can get a basic healing vial!" Denzel said proudly.

"No one can afford that currently. I'm trying to cut the price down to at least twenty bronze," Jack said.

"Twenty!" Denzel exclaimed,"That's ridiculous!"

"Then just treat it as me practicing alchemy," Jack told Denzel.

"You won't be able to make a decent potion with such trash herbs anyway..." Denzel sighed as he walked away, soon coming back with some Vigor Clove and Soothing mint as well as water.

"You can use the equipment. Just tell me when your done so I can do some tests and give your little friend some of my experimental products," Denzel said as he left the room giggling to himself.

"One day this man is going to kill me," Jack whispered.

He turned to the equipment on the table. There was a mortar and pestle, knives, and much more scattered about.

Jack decided to grab the mortar and pestle. He took a Vigor Clove which was about the size of his palm, and cut it pulled it apart like a garlic clove. This gave him eight pieces.

It was pretty much just a garlic clove, but it was a reddish color. He peeled off the skin and threw in one clove into the mortar.

He used the pestle to grind it up into a paste. In his book on basic ingredients, it also explained the best way to use the ingredients. It's in the book somewhere. It's just that the author is to lazy to write it in.

Although he said he wasn't going to be making it into a paste, he did. But this wasn't the finished product. He poured some water into the mortar and used the pestle to mix the water in, making the paste become more like a soup.

In the book about alchemical brewing, it said that adding water to a paste would allow you to extract its properties into a liquid, although the effects would be reduced by up to 40% depending on how well you completed the process.

He turned on the burner and started stirring the Vigor Clove soup with a ladle. When it began to boil, he took a strainer from the mess of a desk and a glass container.

Putting the strainer over the container, he poured the soup into the strainer, removing all the solid portions of the soup and getting just the a red liquid.

Although this could be a potion by itself, it would still cause a severe burning feeling when consumed.

The next thing he was going to try was to add a Soothing Mint leaf. The Soothing Mint was extremely potent, so he didn't need a lot.

The best way to use this type of herb was to just directly add it in without preparing it in anyway.

He cut it into tenths with a knife that he grabbed from under a pile of papers and frowned.

Couldn't this place be more sanitary? He was too lazy to clean it up himself, and just used the equipment as is.

He put one of the pieces that he cut up into the the liquid he made and put it back into the burner, watching as the leaf slowly dissolved.

The mixture changed from red to an orange color.

A brew was basically a sign that you were a quarter of the way there to making an authentic rank 1 potion.

All items were ranked 1 to 9. The higher the number, the better the item. After it surpassed 9 it becomes a Rare item, ranked 1 through 9 again. After Rare was Unique, then Epic, followed by Legendary, and finally Relic.

The only reason he knew the affects of the previous creations was that he already gained knowledge relating to them.

With this, he knew nothing about it and would have to test it on himself, or another entity to figure out its affects.

He summoned his aid. Taking out a knife he looked at his aid with a scary expression.

The summoned aid looked terrified. What did it do to get a master like this?

He cut its upper arm, making it bleed. He took the container with the orange liquid and handed placed it in front of the aid.

It looked at him like it was pleading for mercy. Jack used the knife, pointing it at the aid threateningly.

It started to shake and reluctantly drank the concoction.

The blood around the wound began to harden, completely solidifying in a few seconds. In another five the scab came off, revealing where the wound used to be.

It wasn't "good as new" because you could still see a mark where the wound used to be.

[Experimental Vigor Brew]
(When consumed, regenerates one health every 2.5 seconds. Lasts 30 seconds)

The effects of the Vigor Clove were only enhanced by a small amount, but technically, the brew worked!

"That was easier then I thought!" Jack said happily, until suddenly, the aid began to cough.

It's cough became louder and louder until it collapsed looking at Jack while coughing, almost seeming like he was telling him something.'You did this.'

Jack just watched as the aid went lip.

Whoops. Accidentally killed it.

He was confused though. Where did it go wrong? The Soothing Mint should, theoretically cancel out the burning effect of the Vigor Clove.

He opened up his basic ingredients book and read some more about Soothing Mint. He couldn't memorize everything in this book just after reading this once or twice! Who do you think he was? It would be extremely coincidental and lucky to have a photographic memory.

This wasn't a novel on an overpowered player. Just a lazy and studious one.

Flipping through the pages, he found it.

"Soothing Mint contains a protein that makes the exposed area colder. But, it becomes extremely sensitive to heat, so it can't be used to mitigate burning effects, it will just intensify the pain."

He was to excited about experimenting in his aid and didn't read everything about the Soothing Mint.

Thinking about it, he decided to try it with the Frozen Hibiscus this time.

Denzel gave him a Frozen Hibiscus and he began preparing.

He remade the Vigor Clove Extract, and grabbed the Frozen Hibiscus. It wasn't as potent as the Soothing Mint, so he could just put the entire flower in there.

For the Frozen Hibiscus, the best way to use it was to, well, its in the name. You guessed it! To freeze it!

He didn't know how to freeze it though. There were no freezers in this game, and he didn't know ice magic.

He didn't bother to ask Denzel, because he wanted to learn everything on his own.

He could only make due right now with a lower quality product and research ice magic later.

So he made it into a paste like the Vigor Clove and boiled it in water, straining it  after to its extract.

In his book on basic brewing, it says the best way to combine extracts, was when they were both extremely hot, allowing for them to combine thoroughly.

Starting the a second burner, he put each container on a burner, covering the top with a lid.

After they were both boiling, he poured the red Vigor Clove extract into the container with the dark blue Frozen Hibiscus extract, creating a light green color.

He mixed them together thoroughly. Instead of summoning his aid again, he poured a portion of the concoction into another container.

Now he summoned his aid, holding the glass container up to its face.

It was standing in the messy table, looking terrified. It had just died! But this guy just wanted to him drink more suspicious concoctions!

He took out the same knife he used earlier and slashed the aids upper arm like before.

The aid reluctantly drank the concoction and prepared itself for the sweat release, but it never came.

After ten seconds, the wound closed and the aid hadn't lost a lot of blood thanks to the effects of the Frozen Hibiscus.

Looks like the Frozen Hibiscus cancelled out the burning affect of the Vigor Clove.

(When consumed, regenerates one health every three seconds and stops blood loss, but weakens user by 20%. Lasts for 30 seconds)

Blood loss may not seem like a big deal, but it was one of the most terrifying status effects. If you got the Blood loss status effect, you would continuously take damage depending on how severe the bleeding was.

If it wasn't stopped, you could very well bleed to death, even if you escaped it the first time.

The only thing he regretted was that it's regenerative properties weren't that great. In the middle of a battle, could you wait a few seconds to gain a measly one point if health back?No! He needed to increase the regenerative capabilities of this potion or it wouldn't sell! 

He grabbed the portion of [Experimental Frozen Vigor Brew] that he hadn't used yet and grabbed one of the cut up pieces of Soothing Mint. He wanted to see if the Frozen Hibiscus could completely cancel out the Vigor Clove's burning effect, even with the extreme heat sensitivity from the Soothing Mint.

Since he only had half of the previous brew, he cut one of the fifths in half, making a tenth of Soothing Mint.

He turned off the second burner and put the brew on top of the first one, waiting for it to boil, then added the piece of Soothing Mint.

After a few minutes, it completely dissolved. He stirred it a little bit with a ladle and turned off the burner.

Grabbing the container he put it in front of his aid again.

The entire time the aid was watching in horror as he added the Soothing Mint and saw it dissolve.

It had already experienced death thanks to it before. It didn't want to again.

It drank the new concoction immediately this time, wanting to make it quick.

He didn't make a wound this time because he didn't need too. The game already gave him the information without him even needing to create a wound.

The actual reason he was cutting the aid before was to give himself a visual representation as to what the healing process looked like.

He didn't need the reference anymore, so he didn't cut it. Although he may have wanted to.

The aid coughed a few times, but was fine after. Seeing as it hadn't died, he assumed it worked.

Jack grabbed the concoction and was going to drink it himself to see the extent of the pain that the Vigor Clove would cause.

Drinking a small sip, he swallowed the brew, exhaling contently. The pain caused by Vigor Clove, when supported by the Soothing Mint should have been incredibly painful. But with the help of the Frozen Hibiscus, it became more like the burn of whiskey.

As how he knows what whiskey taste like, it doesn't matter. 

If he wanted, he could probably sell it as is, people would buy it as it cost around ten bronze to manufacture. Two from the Soothing Mint, seven from the Frozen Hibiscus which was surprisingly expensive, and one for the Vigor Clove.

That wasn't even the prices for just one of those ingredients though. They all came in batches. A Soothing Mint that you could buy for two bronze had four leaves. He only needed one to have enough Soothing Mint to make one of these potions!

The Frozen Hibiscus only came as a single item. The three Vigor Cloves could be bought for one bronze. This was absolutely a profit! 

The only downside was the weakening affect of the brew. This would make its popularity much less because people wouldn't like the idea of being weaker in critical moments.

The next step was to find a way to get rid of the weakening affects of the Frozen Hibiscus.

Jack Nox is about to get evicted from his apartment. He doesn’t have a job, mainly because he doesn’t want to end up as a dead end office worker, and sets his eyes on a new Vr game, Battle World.

This is the story of a poor boy trying to get some cash. Literally just for the cash. Who cares about relationships?

A pale white beauty was standing infront of me she was naked, her perfect like body shone like the moon, her blonde hair that look like clouds and her silver eyes that shines like the stars.
I was mesmerized, Deep inside wants to embrace her and never let go, A few moments later Codex flew atop of my head and drop itself down.
"Aw! what the hell?! that hurts?! I shouted at Codex, It feels like he ruined my concentration on admiring the beauty infront of me.
"Oh.....Maam Luciela, I brought the guest! I'm sorry about bringing him here earlier...."
"Its...Fine little Charlotte, It seems our little friend has enjoyed himself anyways."
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....." I tried to talk like a proper human but it seems no words can escape from my mouth. What happened next Codex casted a spell on me.
"Now back to your senses! You lonely, horny, virgin of a master!"
"Hey that was uncalled for!" I maybe 20 years old and a lonely virgin who always gets horny immediately but I am a reasonable man! I rather fap to a 2d character than assaulting a girl.
"Wait Codex you can cast spell on me? Why didn't you do that earlier?! while we were fighting those demons to get here?!"
"Because I want you to fight!" Unknowingly the manager Luciela is looking at me and Codex.
"I would never have expected someone would finally become the owner of the Codex Gigas."
"Wait.........you know this stupid book Codex?"
"Indeed, also I know you're human."
"What the......how?"
"I'm a half angel and half succubus you know? and also my mom is the first succubus, your reaction earlier has thrown you away, since if a human sees a succubus overwhelming lust will control them, since you overcame your lust after seeing little Charlotte since she's a middle rank succubus, While I on the other hand.....I'm royalty."
"Most low level demons would eventually jump on me the moment they see me, and that's where Alastor comes and dispose of those annoying bastards."
"....I see...so about Codex? how did you know about it?"
She looks at Codex white her shining shimmering silvery eyes, then she made a smile, a smile that could melt anyone. Oh god...I.m sorry my 2d waifus I might lose my way.
"You see the Codex Gigas was made or rather finished by my father.....a single priest sold his soul to my father in exchange to continue his book about knowledge of power from heaven and hell."
"No one could actually read it you know? Not even the most ancient of demons nor the most knowledgeable angels not even the seraphims nor the other gods."
"Trick is quite simple really....My father told me that the only one that can read it, is someone with photographic memory, The images they see in the Codex changes in their minds that can actually be understood. Taking a picture of the Codex doesn't work though."
"Now try to think about the Codex inside your mind."
I listened to her and what surprised me is another Codex was inside my mind the words were clear nor translated to Latin. I looked at Codex and try to burn him for not telling me.
"Stop! Stop! Stoooooooooooooppppp!!!" Codex was begging me to stop.
"Alright, alright I'll talk!" I looked at Codex while holding a candle, I just realized the candles flames are purple.
"I'm a vengeful spirit of the priest that made a deal with the devil, He trapped my soul inside the book and I was forced to a contract that whoever successfully read the book from 1st page to last, he will be my master." I tried to burn it again, but he began to talk again.
"The reason I'm pissing off other demons, is because I'm jealous of you. This book was my greatest work! I got a revelation of heaven and hell about how to make it but the pope saw me as mad and possessed, This book was suppose my ticket to greatness! to become the king of the world!"
"The moment I wrote the book, I never stopped, I thought of anything but completing my book....The problem is I was nearing my lifespan so I made a deal with the devil, but that's another problem I made...I realized its useless and far too late, I can't use the book, since I'm already dying."
"You can actually throw the book, once you read it completely since the true words behind it is already in your mind."
I looked at Codex like he's ready to submit to his fate, In the end I put down the creepy looking candle.
"Alright....I won't burn you but you will follow every word I say, capiche?"
I saw Codex's glowing red eyes as if it was happy.
"Thank you..... I will serve you with all my pages my master, I will be your most loyal servant!" 
I don't trust him for some reason. But oh well, I look back at Luciela now fully dressed looking at us amused.
"I'm amused by you two." She made a smile, that I almost fall for again.
"So........what now? I'm stuck here in hell for god knows how many years."
Luciela looks at me and began to whisper something to Charlotte and for some reasons she's bright red but her skins color is already red. Her face was glowing.
"Alright how about this, you can work here and your job will be Charlotte's bodyguard and this hotel's brew maker, since the bar is the only selling point of this hotel though Marcosias brew's actually taste like piss."
"How about it, you guys?"
The moment Luciela said those words, I could feel people behind me.
"Fine by me, as long you can make better brew than Marcosias's piss brew then I'm good, Oh by the way my names Star Dust." I spider like demon named Star Dust looked at me in a flirty manner.
She? or He? what is it? I'm having problem if Star Dust is a boy or a girl.
"Do you like......EXPLOSIONS?! specially big ones?!" A girl with 3 eyes looks at me with a big creepy smile.
"Ummmmmm........Yes?" I just said yes to her, since I have a bad feeling if I say no.
"You'll be my bomb buddy then!!! My name is Tsar Bomba!!! Lets fill this hellhole full of EXPLOSIONS!!!" She hold my hand with shining eyes. She's cute but scary...
"I am Marcosias the best brewmaker in all of Hell! I won't accept you if you can't make a better brew than me?!" The dog like demon with wings proclaimed it so.
"I hope you can carry on your duty if not.............I'LL MAKE SURE YOU WILL SUFFER THE MOST!" Reality slowly distorts as the demon Alastor told me those words.
"OK........." I'm scared shitless right now.
"Alastor stop scaring him!" Charlotte came to me and slowly pat my head, she's a good girl she's more of an angel.
Lastly Luciela stand up and introduced herself.
"I am Luciela Morningstar, Lucifer and Lilith's daughter also the princess of hell, It would be nice if we can have you in our hotel Mr. Wizard?"
Ah! I forgot to introduce myself!
"I am Sol Luminescence, you can call me Sol for short, also I'm single, my hobbies are doing something stupid, anime and videogames."
After that day the hotel bar became more popular not because of Marcosias piss brews but because of my brews.

A teenager sneak inside the forbidden library of the Vatican to prove his conspiracy theories but what he found is even much more than the library books and it was hell.

"Damn was she confused!" Randy recalled the look on Lia's face. The innocent colors suggested that she was confused, furious, flushed all at once. Randy loved her with all his heart because she always supported him whatever the scenario was.  
The both of them stayed quiet then, they looked at Conall and sighed together.
"I don't get it! You and Racheal are siblings then why do we complete each other's sentence as if we both are twins" Randy asked while he pouted softly. Ricky could swear every time she looked at Randy pouted he just wanted to kiss them. While Ricky was lost in watching Randy's mouth pulled out into a cute little pout Randy let out a long hum.
"Hmmm?" Randy let out.
"Maybe just because the three of us grew up together. Not even just for one lifetime! For two fucking lifetimes! I am stuck with you baby~ and you are stuck with me~" Ricky was being unusually flirty.  
"Ohh yess~" Randy played along and Conall shuffled in his place. Both of them brought their attention back to Conall.  


"I have some ingredients in the palace... I think it will be enough for us to cook a little potion letting us go back in time and see what exactly happened..." Racheal suggested. Penelope nodded. Racheal walked back to the hippogriff as Penelope sat down with Jack and Lia to calm them down. She carefully took Ida into her own arms and laid her heavy body back onto the ground. The soft ground depressed down by the weight that shifted.  
The three of them walked away into the catastrophic scene. They examined the place that was so messed up and broken, It sure was not a little creature or a normal werewolf that could have caused it.  
Jack still held onto Lia and Lia did the same. They both were in a really fragile condition at that moment and holding onto each other they helped and supported themselves. It was mutual and they moved around the space more. Penelope stood there alone with her body weighing down by the weight of everything that was happening. Lia and Jack out of the blue decided to pull her into their hug with Penelope in between them. The three of them kneeled down and sat there. "Don't forget what I said to you Pen..." Lia softly whispered to Penelope and pulled her head onto her (Lia) chest.  
"Hm?" Penelope breathed.  
"It is ok to cry..." Lia reminded Penelope. Penelope smiled sadly.  
"I know it is baby Li... But it is just complicated... I just feel like it would have been easier if Isabelle was around..." Penelope let the words in her heart out.  
"I know... I know it would have but it is just the way things had to go pen..." Jack sighed and Lia did too.  


"Stop it! Lucifer! Asmodeus you lame fucking ass!" Lila cussed loudly to grab their attention.  
"Oh! Tail girl..." Asmodeus chuckled.

"Water..." Conall mumbled softly. Ricky rushed to the bedside and grabbed the tumbler to hand it to Conall. Randy helped him up and made his back touch the headboard. Conall leaned into the wood. gulped down the liquid content present in the tumbler. He squinted his eyes and tried to move more.  
"You have anti-biotics in your body... It normal to feel fatigued..." Ricky says, close to a whisper.  
"Guys..." Racheal was at the door.  
"What are you doing here??" Randy said standing up.
"I need one of you guys to come with me... We need to brew something rn..." Racheal said as she panted a little.  
"Randy... Stay with Conall... I will be back after I help Racheal out..." Ricky said before running away with Racheal.  
"Sure..." Randy mumbled to himself and looked at Conall.  
"I- I don't like being sick..." Conall spoke out.  
"Who does!?" Randy answered tilted his head.  
"Yea... Who does..." Conall smiled sadly and chuckled drily.  

"What are we brewing??" Ricky asked as he tried to catch up with Racheal's large steps.  
"I will tell you once we get to the library," They started to sprint towards the library.
"Now I need you to find a book that mentions anything about turning back time and seeing what happened in a certain place..." Racheal said. Ricky froze.  
"Racheal... you know we are not capable enough to brew a time-turning potion... It can be tricky and even if we do brew it if anything goes wrong when the time is turned... It will not be pretty to see the chaotic result," Ricky started.
"Ricky! I know what I am doing and we need this! And you think you are not capable enough to brew that nine-grade time turning potion!?" Racheal protested.
"What do you mean 'you'?" Ricky stopped Racheal.
"Ricky, I can not brew right now... I will help you get the ingredients ready and the setup but I can not brew right now..." Racheal's voice decreased as she spoke.  
"Why not!?" Ricky asked as he started scanning through the tall shelves to find any books related to time-turning potions. Racheal started to do the same.  
"I just- It has just been so long and I feel like I am going to fuck this up and I want everything to be perfect and I totally believe you can pull it off," Racheal said.  
Ricky stopped wandering his hand around the shelf. He looked towards Racheal. "Girl... Not without you... Never without you... I can never be perfect without my sister by my side..." Ricky spoke as he hugged her back all of a sudden. "I can never be perfect on my own because you are the person that brings out the best in me and stop being such a lame-ass, don't doubt yourself and shut up because you are brewing with me!" Ricky rapped. Racheal let out a long breath.
"We don't have much time Ricky please get back to searching..." She said coldly.  
"Yah! I tried my best to cheer you up and you step on me!?" Ricky says in a dramatic tone as he got away from her and towards a shelf.  
"When did I step on you?" Racheal asked furiously.  
"It was a metaphor ok!? And you are dumb!" Ricky said as he stomped around to find a book. He pulled it out quickly and showed it to Racheal.  
"Is this useful??" he asked while looking at Racheal through a hole in the shelf while he waved the book in his hand above the shelf so that Racheal could see it.
"Oh!! That's useful... Look around there you might find a few with the same concept. I just need different versions so that we can pick the best and quickest way to brew it!" Racheal said. They both got to work and found a pile of books and went through the outlined part and made their own recipe for their potion.  


"Asmodeus! We don't have the time to deal with her! Come on! He is waiting!" Azzy shrieked.  
"Stop!!" Lila started running towards them. She ran to where they were but at the same instant, they too disappeared into thin air. She punched the air and cursed loudly. She looked and ran around. She tried to figure out where exactly she was. She was in the woods. She decided to walk back to the castle after what had happened the last time she was in the water.  


Ricky and Racheal already were in their last stage. They just waited for it to cool down.  
"I don't think it works on werewolves does it?" Racheal said softly.
"I think it does not actually..." Ricky replied.
"Do you think Randy will be able to handle Conall alone... All by himself...?" Racheal asked.
"Conall is awake so he should be able to..."  Ricky uttered.  
Both of them ran up to Conall's room.  
"Baby take care of yourself and Conall... I need to go with Racheal now..." Ricky said giving a quick hug to Randy. He nodded.  
Both of them teleported onto Crusty who then flew up into the air and unto the huge cloud. They found Jack, Lia, and Penelope all nuzzled up together. Sniffled. Ricky was surprised. He just ran to them and hugged them. He was soft anytime he saw his family sad. The group. The only family he had. He rubbed their backs.  
"This potion does not work on anyone but witches... You guys need to get off of the cloud... Maybe go back home and take some rest..." Racheal insisted.  
the three of them did what they were asked to. They instantly sat on Crusty and flew away from the cloud.  
Ricky and Racheal took a deep breath in.  
"On five..." Racheal said as she took out the two little glass bottles from her pocket.  
"on five" Ricky also nodded.  
"Yea" Racheal sighed. "One... Two... Three... Four... Five..." Racheal counted down and gulped the whole little bottle and Ricky did too. A sudden bus of wind hit them. They fell to the ground. The cushioned one and when they woke up they could see Ida... Cleaning the beautiful place before...


"I had been waiting for this adventure for so long! I didn't think it would be…. THIS!" Lia starts to panic; pacing up and down the enormous hall.

I have also got significantly good at potions that I can make intermediate potions and novice level potions with my eyes closed. I have successfully modified some potions and have managed to create some.But due to lack of funds I have been not play with some expensive ingredients.Despite that I have managed to improve my skills in potion making. Just for example the[Intermediate grade potions are those that are NEWT level potions.]It is precisely because of that I am quite proud of my current potion making skills.
I also started studying the dark arts book I got in second hand store secretly.I have read and I have gotten theoretical knowledge of art. The dark arts are those magicks that hurt or kill the victims. It is does not necessarily that you have to use emotions to cast these magicks contrary of my knowledge form fan fic rather only [high level curses like killing curse,torturing curse,imperatius curse,also a curse that I found in book which I found 'Mind corrosion curse'.It is one of the curses that when hit slowly corrodes mind of victim and drives them insane. This actually also uses a bit of your negative emotions to invoke victims similar emotions and sort of feed on them to repeatedly produce such emotions till his mind is filled with negeative emotions.].
At least that is what book said.I haven't tried any of dark arts but I have was suprise when I see there dark charms too.[There is charm known as edocorpus charm which makes victim feel he is a corpse.There variations of this charm that further use it as based to make the victim feel mentally scarred. There is another variation which leads to  victim start to eat himself.]I was thoroughly disgusted.When started studying defense against dark arts,I thought entrail expelling curse was more disgusting and horrifying than killing curse.But no this charm just tops the list.
But there are also curses,jinxes,hexes which are quite lethal if used correctly.It also does not cost any toll on mind.But repeated use can affect your mind. There is solution to this which was mentioned in book that is [A cleansing ritual.It is ritual which removes its effect.But there is no definitve instructions on carrying the ritual.I am wasn't on planning on doing any ritual half assed so totally refrained from doing the dark arts but I did study its counter measures just in case.
I also learned about basic rituals from book though it did not contain much. But I was quite pleased with this gain.I also learned the name of author of book was Liam Moria.Maybe I can find more books from this author.
But The biggest gain I got was from the that journal about emotions and magic relation.It also explained what I felt from when I was in that bicorn incident was real.  According to researcher ,Emotions are one of the way are soul power is released.These emotions are also called as spirit power by ancient wizards.He said those who can perceive emotions of others have high spirit ower and can practise soul magic.
The ancient wizards said that using magic along with spirit power strengthen the magics.But not exactly much is known about this concept as there are very few who dare to research in this.Still there were some group of ancient wizard who studied this discipline and found one of branches of magic known as soul magic.But these magicks were so strong as they were able to manipulate soul of victim.So these groups where hunted and feared by wizards all over world.But there are still some magic which use dilated soul magic.Till now author only found one which was [Patronus charm as it uses happy emotions to summon spirit animal.]
He also recorded in his journal the magic that is used by African tribes and category known as Self transfiguration is Part of soul magicks. This got me excited another awesome magic.But this one is going hard to find as it was extinct hundreds of years ago.Hold on minute there is place that can have books on this magicks,Old Hogwarts library.It is quite old and must have many old magicks.Also according to some fiction I read dumbledoor used to say that the mst mystical place of Hogwarts is not any chamber rather it is library.But it also mentioned that only worthy will receive help from Hogwarts so this troublesome.
But oh well that is problem in future.I have to first tackle the current situation.
As planned I am in America to participate in main match after passing qualifiers with flying colour.It was not difficult to begin with we had to brew 2 basic potion with atleast  one of them high quality which was quite difficult for others but was quite easy as I can brew novice level ones quite easily. Now for  main event we had to present novice level potions with high  quality or above.
[Quality Ranking goes like Low-Middle-High-Perfect].So it was not much a problem for me to brew up a high quality one .But my goal from competition was perfect one with some modifications so I can draw attention.Mostly of businessmen of potions because I had products I wanted to sell so i would need to partner up with some one.I could have done that in Britain but there is blood discrimination which would cause no lord to partner up with half blood but even if they did I would be forced to get lower end of bargain.But it is different in America or MACUSA.Here they did not mind blood of wizard but they had discrimination based on colour.Well cant exactly remove vices of society.
'So much to do' while thinking this I silently fell asleep on my bed..
