On Saturday, April 19th, at Feng Bujue's home, Xiao Tan, Master Bao, and Brother Jue were seated on the sofa in the living room, staring at the television. The table before them was filled with take-out, bought with the fee that Brother Jue had earned from his writing and TV appearance. Feng Bujue had already connected a video file on his laptop onto the television, so he could watch it directly from the TV. The content of this video was the episode for 'I Am a Writer' that he had recorded one week earlier.
"The episode will be aired next Friday, and this is… an hour long precut version. During the actual showing, it will be cut down to forty-five minutes." Feng Bujue raised the remote and said before pressing the button, "Are you sure you want to watch this?"
"Stop wasting time," Master Bao urged. "Hurry up. My wife is waiting for me at home for dinner."

I was relaxed and feeling lucky that time and the challenger were uneasy and nervous, maybe because he knows the risk of losing his seat to a newbie like me will be an embarrassment for him. But for me, I have nothing to lose but my coins. Kung sakaling matalo ako, lilipat na lang ako sa ibang room para maglaro.


The game didn't last long, he was so reckless and continuously losing, up to his very last coin. In other words, I won that round and took over his seat. It feels like a trip to Jerusalem game or a board member in a company with an exclusive membership. I was not a good player. I just got lucky. And so, everybody congratulated me and welcomed me as an exclusive member of the room...

Daredevil is the first player who noticed me and even with my impoliteness, he is still patient enough to explain to me how things work in the Monkey Room. He is very accommodating but very strict at the same time, gentle but tough,  nice but very prank, rude but that's his way of showing his concern to his members. I really find him interesting. Very mysterious and with his bad-boy image, he really turned me on.


Daredevil was on top of the food chain and in order to beat him, you must beat the players below him. This is not just a regular online casino game. Not just a poker game,  it's a dog eats dog. The weakest get to be eliminated and forced to leave. It's not about the coins anymore. It's a battle of pride and hierarchy... ITS A GAME OF THRONES...

Life is like a GAMBLE you win some you lose some and my motto in life is only gamble what you can afford to lose.

Ava's POV
"Alam mo kasi Ava, pwede ka naman dito sa akin e. Walang magiging problema iyon sa akin, sa mommy at daddy ko at ano ba ang pakialam ng ibang makakaalam? Ikaw, kaibigan kita at handa akong tulungan ka sa abot ng aking makakaya" nakapamewang na pag didiwara ni Leigh.
"Leigh, hindi. Patuluyin mo lang muna ako, bigyan mo ako ng ilang araw pa makahanap ng magiging capital ko at aalis ako"
"Saan ka naman pupunta?" tanong nito na umupo ssa aking tabi at tinulungan akong itupi ang mga gamit ko na isinabog ng landlady.
"Sa Maynila"
"Anong gagawin mo sa Maynila? Kaya mo ba roon?" nag aalalang tanong nito sa akin.
"Kakayanin ko syempre"
"Dito ka na lang!" sigaw nito sa akin.
"Hindi, kailangan ko pumunta sa Maynila para makabango muli, hindi na ako dalaga, mag kakaanak na ako Leigh" mahinahon kong sabi rito habang nagtutupi pa rin ng mga gamit ko.
"Bakit nga sa Maynila pa?"
"Dahil hindi na ako pwede rito sa Cabanatuan, wala na akong buhay dito at hindi ako titigilan ng mommy ko kung nandito ako" pagpapaliwanag ko sa aking kaibigan.
"Kung ganon ay sasama ako sa'yo" suhestiyon nito.
"Leigh, hindi pwede. May sarili kang buhay at hindi mo ako kailangan intindihin"
"Paano kung mapahamak ka roon? Walang makakaalam, walang tutulong sa'yo, wala ako, paano kung patayin ka ng mga gago roon? Ava, mag isip ka" pataas nang pataas ang boses nito.
"Leigh, kung mamamatay ako, mamamatay talaga ako. Leigh kapag nandito ako hindi ko alam ang mga pwedeng mangyari, pwedeng ako mismo ang pumatay sa sarili ko, pwedeng ang mga ginagawa nila sa akin ang maging dahilan ng pagkamatay ko. Leigh wala nang saysay ang buhay na mayroon ako, pinipilit ko na lang maging matatag para sa bataang dinadala ko, gusto ko nang wakasan ang buhay na mayroon ako pero hindi ko kayang pumatay ng bata na nasa katawan ko."
"Hindi ka mamamatay!"
"Hindi ko sigurado" Yun ang totoo, hindi ako sigurado.
"Bakit ba kasi nangyayari ito?" nakahawak ito sa kanyang sintido habang winiwika ang mga salitang iyon.
"Dahil sa pagmamahal Leigh, yun lang ang dahilan." Ngumiti ako rito para maitago ang pait sa aking nararamdaman.
Lumipas ang mga oras at alam kong gumagabi na. Hinatid ako ni Leigh sa kwartong pinagtuluyan ko nung pinalayas ako ni Mommy sa bahay namin.
"Salamat" yun lamang ang naging wika ko at isinara na nito ang pintuan.
Naligo at nagbihis na ako ng pangtulog, mahihiga na sana ako upang matulog pero lumabas akong muli at kumatok sa kwartong kinaroroonan ni Leigh.
"Leigh, can I come in?" agad bumukas ang pinto.
"May masakit ba sa iyo? May kailangan ka ba?" nagaalalang tanong nito.
"Can I borrow your laptop tonight? May kailangan lang akong hanapin" ngumiti at habang nakatingin sa mga mata nito, nakita ko ang awa sa kanya at laking gulat ko nung bumaba ito sa isang kwarto sa ibaba nang hindi manlang sinabi sa akin kung bakit, pakiramdam ko'y ayaw akong pahiramin nito dahil ginagamit n'ya rin naman ang laptop n'ya, pero nagkamali ako sa muling pag akyat nito'y may dala dala ito.
"Ava, this is not as high end as your laptop before pero ito yung pinagpalitan ko, it's all working" iniabot nya sa akin ang laptop at ang bag na sa tingin ko'y lalagyan nito. "Nasa bag ang mga gamit ng laptop, sa iyo na iyan para magamit mo hanggang sa pagpunta sa Maynila" nakangiti ito, akala ko'y tapos na ito sa kanyang kabaitan ngunit "At ito Ava, alam kong nahihirapan ka sa cellphone na ginagamit mo ngayon at batid kong nasira rin iyon kahapon kaya ito, pinagpalitan ko rin iyan, again this is not an ios phone pero sana makatulong sa iyo." Inaya na ako nito sa aking kwarto at sinet up doon ang laptop, malinis at buong buo pa ang laptop, sa tingin ko'y nagpalit lamang siya para dahil may nakita siyang bagong laptop.
"Thank you Leigh" mahinang sabi ko habang isinasaksak nito ang charger ng laptop.
"Magkaibigan tayo" yun lamang ang naging sagot nito sa akin, pagkasaksak nya ay umupo ito sa kama na tinutulugan ko at inayos ang cellphone isa itong Huawei P40 Pro, kinuha n'ya mula sa aking cellphone ang sim ko at inayos nya ang cellphone pagkatapos ay ibinigay na sa akin.
"Thank you talaga Leigh" hinawakan ko ang likod nito upang maipakita sa kanya ang aking pasasalamat.
"Ava, don't be shy with me, we're friends, we're sisters" ngumiti ito at yumakap sa akin "I always got your back Ava" bago ito bumitaw sa yakap ay winika n'ya ito.
"Thank you Leigh, I will always be thankful"
"BTW aanhin mo pala ang mga gadgets?" nagtatakang tanong nito sa akin.
"I will look for a decent job, online" lumapit ako sa laptop at inoperate ito.
"JOB?! Here we go again Avrielle"
"Leighanne, I need to do this for my child time goes so fast, I know months later manganganak na ako"
"Speaking of manganganak,what's your plan? Kung magpapa Maynila ka, sinong makakasama mo?" nag-aalalang tanong nito sa akin.
"Leigh kaya ko naman mag-isa, also I can call you using this" iniangat ko ang cellphone na ibinigay niya sa akin.
"You sure?"
"Yes!" ngumiti ako at tumayo sa harapa nito.

"Paano ang pag-aaral?"
"Gagawan ko ng paraan, pwede ako mag online schooling"
"Pharmacy? Online? Are you crazy?" tama lang rin ang naging reaksyon n'ya dahil dapat face to face ako mag class pero ayoko nahihiya at natatakot ako.

"Saan ka titira roon?" irita pa rin na tanong nito.

"Who'll do the dishes for you?" natatawang tanong nito.

"Thank you again Leigh!" dahan dahan kong isinara ang pintuan at umupo sa upuan kung saan na roon ang laptop na bigay ni Leigh.
Fully programmed pa ang device kaya naman naging madali lang sa akin na mag tungo sa mga job sites.
May site akong natigilan, naghahanap sila ng "Online Ads Maker" at "Layout Artist" kaya naman agad akong tumawag sa numerong kanilang ibinigay, buti na lamang at may load pa ang aking SIM Card.

"YES! I'll send you later some examples of my layouts" masiglang sagot ko rito.

"Ang aga pa Leigh" umiinat ako habang kinakausap ko ito.
"May tumatawag sa iyo, tanga!" iniabot nito ang cellphone sa akin.
ANG NUMERONG TINAWAGAN KO KAGABI!!!!
"Hello?" tawag ng babae mula sa kabilang linya.
"Good morning" pagbati ko.
"Ahmm Hi this is Julia, we are glad to tell you that... YOU'RE HIRED!" pagbati nito sa telepono.
"THANK YOU!!!" tuwang tuwa ako sa sinabi nito sa akin.
"Our Boss really likes your designs, you're assigned at billboard team, goodluck Amaia."
"Thank you Miss"
"Send me more details and information about yourself Amaia"
"Oh sure"
"See you on Sunday"
"Sunday?"
"Yes, we need to see you first before you'll start working"
"Oh okay, thankyou"

Let's all witness the journey of Ava as she became an independent person. Maabot n'ya kaya ang mga pangarap n'ya? Saan dadalhin si Ava ng lakas ng loob at pakikipag sapalaran?

Inter-planetary Fund's Meche Assis felt that he had taken on a thorny assignment. After considering many candidates, consulting with his superiors, and many discussions with Little Bear, Meche Assis called over his own son Danke Assis.
Having just returned home from boat races on the sea with his rowdy friends, Danke received a phone call from his father and was called over. He wondered what important matter was going on that required his father to call him so urgently. Danke hadn't been stirring up trouble, and there hadn't been any big matters at home.
Danke was pondering over the reason why his father had called him over as he arrived at the Inter-planetary Fund Headquarters. He stepped into the office belonging to Director General Meche Assis and saw a little kid dressed like a bear seated on the sofa. A thought immediately rose into his head. Where did this kid come from?!
He swept a doubting gaze at his father before continuing to stare at the kid.
Meche Assis coughed lightly and introduced him. "This is Little Bear. Bring him around to have fun for a few days."
Danke wasn't happy. "Whose kid is this? How many days is 'a few days'?"
Meche raised his hand at pointed upwards.
Danke's pupils shrank and he sat straight, immediately dispelling his previously sloppy manner. His was excited. This was an assignment from the top brass. Wasn't it just to bring a kid to have fun? He might not do for other stuff, but when it came to having fun, this was his specialty. Being given this assignment meant that the top brass had taken note of him. Perhaps he could enter the core management level even earlier. His siblings hadn't even managed to squeeze in yet!
"Take him along for a week first. Bring him anywhere he wishes to go," Meche said.
"Just one week? Not a problem!" Danke glanced at the little kid on the sofa watching him and accepted this assignment right away.
Meche had a complicated look as he watched his son. He opened his mouth to speak and then hesitated before finally saying, "Do… do your best."
"Don't worry. Isn't it just having fun and making merry? I can arrange for that!"
"No, you don't have to bother about food and drink. He will tell you if he wants anything. All you have to do is accompany him wherever he wants to have fun at. Don't worry about anything else." Meche exhorted him to take note of a few matters.
Although Danke had his suspicious, he knew that he shouldn't probe more into matters concerning the upper echelons of the Inter-planetary Fund. If he asked around too much, perhaps he might not make it into the core management.
"Alright, understood!" Danke promised. "I will definitely complete the assignment!"
Danke walked over to the sofa. He bent down and flashed what he reckoned was his warmest smile. "Hello, I am Danke Assis. You are called Little Bear, right?"
Little Bear studied Danke for a bit before smiling innocently. "Hello Dan Dan."
Danke: "…" This kid isn't lovable at all.
However, no matter what his first impression was, Danke had accepted this assignment. He picked up the luggage with a fierce looking bear head that his father had carried over before bring Little Bear out.
After entering a car, Danke asked, "Where shall we go to have fun first?"
"First, let's fly once around Huangcheng." Little Bear replied.
"Alright." Danke wouldn't even have any complaints even if they were to fly once around the entire Huangzhou, let alone just the capital city of Huangcheng. After all, there would definitely be benefits for doing so. He would treat this little kid belonging to some great leader just like how he would treat his ancestors.
Meche stood at the window of his office as he watched a flashy flying car rise and fly into the distance. He sighed and wondered how many days his son would be able to handle this superintelligence for.
Two days later.
Meche was looking through some documents when he heard that Danke was looking for him. He wasn't too astonished and told his assistant to send Danke in.
"Father——"Danke dragged his voice in a miserable manner when he entered. He knelt down and hugged Meche's thigh. "You are my own father!"
There was a greenish bruise around one of his eyes. The word "B*stard" was written across his face and his delicately arranged bangs was a mess. Danke's eyes were also shimmering with tears. 
Danke took one look and sighed. "Tell me the truth."
Danke exhaled and pointed to the words on his face. "I lost in a game."
He then pointed to his eye with the bruise. "My tone was a little unpleasant when I was shaken awake, so I got hit. Father, how old is this kid? His strength is really off the charts!"
He had been beat in a game and had even lost in terms of strength to a kid. This was really the first time Danke had ever suffered such a heavy blow.
Meche knew his own son best and knew that Danke's words could only be believed to a certain extent. Danke was surely hit because he had lazed in bed and had put on an attitude while getting up.
Superintelligence could be used as a fighting weapon. Thus, Danke's bruised eye couldn't even be considered playing around.
Therefore, Meche only replied to Danke's tearful complaints with a heartless, "Oh" followed by, "Since you can't accomplish this assignment, I will just hand it to someone else…"
"Don't!" Danke blurted out hurriedly. He didn't really want to give up on this assignment. He had only come over to let his father and the Inter-planetary Fund leaders know that this little kid was a handful as well as to let them know how tough it was on him.
"Dad, is that really from the great leader's family?" Danke asked in a hush tone.
"Mmm." Meche nodded.
"Kids of the great leader's family are really extraordinary." Danke put on a serious expression, stood up, and smoothed his messy hair. "Don't you worry, I can still persevere!"
"With these acting skills, even if you don't get into the core management, you can still try your hand in acting." Meche said with a wooden face.
"Hehe." Danke giggled as he jumped up and loosened his arms. "I will be heading back first. I have given the broadcast video platform's account to that little kid to watch serials. He likes 'Founding Era'. The full series should be able to keep him busy for quite a long time."
The moment he had mentioned the full series of "Founding Era", Danke had felt that his own resourcefulness deserved to be praised. How am I so smart! He reckoned that the little kid wouldn't have even completed watching a chapter by the time this assignment was over!
"Don't imagine him being too simple! You… do your best." Meche emphasized once more.
"Hey, don't you worry!"
Danke waved his hands and hurried back. He had taken the opportunity to come over and show his presence while that bear child was watching the serial. However, when he returned home, Danke realized that this bear child's speed at watching serials was a little too fast.
When Danke had left, the kid had been watching the "Founding Era Xizhou Chapter". How had it become the "Yanzhou Chapter" when he got back?
Hadn't he been gone for only an hour?
He took a look at Little Bear, who seemed like he was about to cry while watching the "Yanzhou Chapter".
Danke changed to a pair of slippers before coming back to the room and saw that Little Bear's eyes that had been teary and red had returned back to normal. There wasn't any trace that he had been about to cry!
Danke was astonished. So tears can really be stifled!
He suffered yet another blow. This little kid actually had better acting skills than him!
"Really well-acted!" Little Bear exclaimed. 
"Of course, take a look at 'Founding Era's' cast and crew! Oh right, Little Bear, after watching so many episodes, who is your favorite actor or actress?" Danke returned back to the moment and asked.
"Fang Zhao!"
"Fang Zhao? Why?"
"Real!"
"Sss, aren't actors all acting? How can that be real?"
"Then his acting is the most realistic."
"What does a kid know about being real or not?"
"I want his autograph!"
"Don't have it… I will help you purchase one online."
"I want to take a photograph with him!"
"He is on a foreign planet filming and can't return… Why? Have you learned from others to chase stars? Chasing stars will make you brainless!" Danke tried to frighten Little Bear.
"Oh, so you have chased stars before?" Little Bear asked.
"… What do you mean by that?!" This brat is totally not adorable at all!!
Seeing that Little Bear wasn't replying, Danke asked, "Will you be continuing to watch the series, or do you want to do something else?"
"Watch the series."
"Alright, you go on watching. Call me if you need anything. There's food in the refrigerator. Help yourself if you get hungry or thirsty. I will be returning to my room to catch up on some sleep first."
Little Bear's only raised his hand to wave Danke off, his eyes remaining fixated on the screen.
Danke returned to his room to shower and washed the markings off of his face. He applied some medicine to his bruised eye and took a nice afternoon nap. When he got up, he discovered the bear child watching a concert. A video of Fang Zhao's concert.
Danke yawned and muttered to himself, "No longer binging the series. Kids sure are fickle."
Danke was jolted awake by the shock he got when browsing through the history of his video broadcasting platform account. The full series comprising of every episode from each chapter of "Founding Era" had been completed. Even those edits and interviews had also been searched for and watched.
Danke took a look at the time. He double checked that he had only slept for two hours and not two months!
Danke wondered whether that kid had just fast-forwarded through the videos. Danke stretched his neck out to observe and saw that the bear kid was really watching the concert attentively and didn't seem to have any intention to fast-forward. Thus, Danke left the projection room and sent his father a message.
[That bear kid is chasing stars now. Will that be a problem?]
Meche immediately returned with a video call.
"What's going on?"
"It's like this. Do you see? He is currently watching Fang Zhao's concert video and even said that he wants Fang Zhao's autograph and a photograph with Fang Zhao. I reckon that he will want to find Fang Zhao when he returns back from filming… Dad, what's wrong?! He's just chasing a star. Why does it seem like it scares you so…"
On the other end, Inter-planetary Fund Director General Meche Assis who had been entrusted with this important assignment turned pale and broke out in cold sweat. He didn't reply to Danke's question immediately and sent a message after ending the video call. 
[Don't let him get close to Fang Zhao during the assignment period! No, make him stay far away! Don't let him get close!]
Meche was worried. Little Bear looked human, but he had the kernel of a superintelligence. Meche was worried that Fang Zhao's ears would detect something if he were close enough.
Danke frowned when he received his father's message. He studied the little figure in the projection room a few times.
"*Cough*, Little Bear, let's change a star to chase. What do you think of that…"
"News just came out. Fang Zhao donated tens of billions to Bu Base," Little Bear blurted out abruptly.
"WHAT?!"
Danke was so stunned by this news that he totally forgot what he wanted to say. After searching online, Danke discovered that this news was true, and various authoritative media outlets had already reported on it. There were two news items regarding Bu Base. One was that Bu Base would become the third strategic military location and that the planet was being sealed for developments. The second was that Fang Zhao had donated the entirety of his monetary reward for the Alkaid's discovery to Bu Base.
"Is this person stupid? Is he soft in the head?"
The monetary reward was so much, and he donated every single cent to Planet Bu? Couldn't he exchange it for something more valuable?
Danke just couldn't understand. Was it worth it?
At the same time in Yanzhou's Yanbei retirement facility, Great-grandfather Fang had also seen this news. His hand twirling the walnuts trembled. His lips quivered and his mind was filled with thoughts that Little Zhao had been pressured and swindled. 
Great-grandfather Fang, who chose to be mindlessly biased, cried, "My Little Zhao has surely been wronged!"
He has been tremendously wronged!

As said by ALMIGHTY GOD, GODOPEDIAOLOGY decided to find solution for finishing sin, so he decided to start it in his own house. He decided to stay in his house for one complete day and night without doing any other work.
             
He got bored and decided to watch television and enjoyed watching songs. The songs were picturised in many places and since the television was a 50 inch big one and the songs were HD quality he felt like he was in those videos amongst the actors and actresses happily singing with his them he enjoyed for 4 hrs and then for the next 8 long hrs he enjoyed all sports, cartoons, movie trailers and their makings and best romantic movies.

The next thing that he felt like trying was series(serials). He for some strange reasons couldn't sustain even for one complete hour. He switched off the television and felt that all the programs had some percent of sin which varied but it was the daily soaps(serials) that really blasted his brain into pieces.

The series explained all types of sin. It gave them ideas of various sins and how it can be committed. Though the serials weren't given any grade like A, B, U/A and so on, still the idea of watching series proved as the worstest nightmare for him.

GODOPEDIAOLOGY understood that since the series were not censored like movies and just because it didn't have a censor committee as movies, the writer of all the mega series have written all shit imagination and are provoking sin amongst the people who watch it, not even sparing small childrens. So now GODOPEDIAOLOGY understand why HIS MASTER ALMIGHTY GOD ASKED HIM TO FIRST CLEAN UP THE GARBAGE. IF THIS GARBAGE ITSELF IS SO MUCH THEN HOW ABOUT OTHER GARBAGE OF THE WORLD. ONLY GOD ALONE KNOWS. Anyhow the bad time for GODOPEDIAOLOGY has already started and he doesn't know how long will it Haunt him.

Akala pa 'man din niya ay iba ito dahil ang bait nang approach nito sa kanya sa chat.

Everything's a cycle, you know?
The first weeks that after they basically fired me from the hotel, I started to look for a new job. Again. I sent my resume to whatever job opportunity I could find. Again. I felt extremely stressed and anxious every time a company showed me they were interested in me, but I still manage somehow to get job interviews. Again.
But, when I had a job interview scheduled, I started to think for excuses that would make me believe having that job was a bad idea. Things like: "they'd pay you too little," "your workplace would be really far away, and I don't like this neighborhood. I don't want to leave my car here, unprotected, all day long," "your workplace would be one of the most depressing ones I've ever seen," "you don't really know or care about this place," "really? Sales? You, the most introverted person you know, think you'd be good at sales?"
And so on.
Also, I feel sometimes, during the job interviews, I was too honest, and sometimes too dishonest.
And sometimes I just simply forgot about the interview. Well, one time I remembered it… 5 minutes before. And when that happened I wasn't shocked or sad or had a mini heart attack, I was just like "well, it seems I'm not getting that job. Anyway…"
So, yeah…
But then, after I saw some starting publisher was looking for comics and manga artists, I decided to distract myself from my constant failures learning a new useless ability. Again. So I bought some how-to-draw-manga books, some mechanical pencils, a sketchbook and a couple specialized pens for the inking and started to watch some how-to-draw tutorials. 
As the time passed by I began to understand how precise drawing is—a line half a millimeter to the left or right, or a slightly sharper curve could make the different of a really neat drawing or a piece of garbage—and how complex is the world we live in: reality could broke down in infinite shapes that are combined in infinite ways—and it's really important to understand them well to get the light and shadows right—how incredibly complex is the human body, and how incredibly well artist understand it; how artist must understand extremely well what they're drawing, and how you need to practice anything you're drawing—not only any object but parts of the human body, like hands (they're so free and active and important there's an infinite amount of ways to draw them, and an infinite amount of ways to get them wrong, but I like to draw them, though,) legs (they're a little complex because the shape of both the thighs and the calves are a little asymmetrical and change depending on the perspective, and the knees are slightly tilted and pointing outwards,) body proportions (it's just hell to get everything right,) hair (there are an infinite amount of hair types and styles, and you need to make hair strands a little bit varied to make them look natural but I always end up making them exactly the same or extremely similar, so they end up looking weird,) eyes (there are a lot of shapes and sizes, so I always end up drawing the same ones, and I'm really avoiding drawing pupils because they end up looking like serial killers,) eyelashes (believe it or not, I have some problems when it comes to make them look right and not like ugly thorns coming out of someone's eyes,) arms (because they're not just cylinders, they change slightly in size and shape especially in the elbow area,) feet (I have problems to draw them in some specific angles and viewpoints;) and different other things relating to a character, like expressions (there are so many of them, and a lot are so similar it's really easy to draw the wrong one, and at the moment you're about to draw them, you realize you only have a vague idea of how they are, so you start making those expressions while looking at the mirror, or the front screen of your phone,) body language (same thing as the previous one,) and clothing (there are so many different types and styles, and I have a really hard time drawing folds that look natural and express how tight or loose the clothing is.)   
Also I began to understand inking is extremely precise and, for most of the time, a pain in the ass—even if you're the most careful you can be, the chances you'd draw a wrong line and screw everything up are really high, especially with hands. 
It doesn't matter how much time you spend making your drawings as best as you can, they'll immediately look like shit.
Also, I don't know why but, once you inked your whole drawings, you then realize the arms are too long, or the hair was placed too high, or the eyes aren't that aligned, or the eyebrows are too thick, or the nose is a little too big, or the torso was too thin, or too thick, or the legs were too long, or etcetera.
And also also, since I wanna draw comics, I have to choose the size and shape of each panel (and this is more important than you think because it can help your storytelling and the rhythm of it,) the scene, the viewpoint, the character's poses, the backgrounds and etcetera.
What I'm trying to say here is that there's A LOT of variables when it comes to drawing, and I have to master ALL of them.
Anyway, for the next month or so I spent most of my day reading—mostly manga and comic theory books by Will Eisner and Scott McCloud—writing, learning how to draw manga style, watching anime and taking screenshots of characters I wanted to draw—maybe because of their expression, their hairstyle, the light and shadow on their faces, their hands, the folds in their clothing, their body pose, and so on.
Nothing else happened, but at least I haven't felt that happy since ages—I never really thought I could survive as a comic/manga artist, to be honest, but it was nice to forget about everything else and draw.
But I still needed a job, especially when that starting publisher struggled to sell all the comics they started printing.
So I started to look for a job. Again.
Then, one day, I was buying some groceries and, in my way to the checkout, I stumbled with their Funko Pops on sale. Now, I'm not a really big fan of those figures, but I had more than a couple of them at home, so I decided to check them out.
There I found some Yu Yu Hakusho figures—Botan, Kurama, and Hiei. Now, this last one caught my eye because of that "Special Edition" sticker.
Just out of curiosity, I took my phone and checked how much it was selling online—they're normally cheaper there.
But there wasn't anyone selling them in my country—except for some really sketchy post of buy-it-now-and-we'll-order-it-from-China-and-in-a-month-or-two-you'll-receive-the-totally-legit-not-fake-funko-you-ordered.
For me it seemed like a really good business opportunity.
So I bought it and sold it online in two days.
I tripled its price.
But I could totally sell it at a higher price.
And considering taxes and commissions, I didn't get that much, but I still got a good deal, though.
So I had a bad business idea.
How about I started checking everywhere for opportunities like this. Or how about I started buying Funko Pops that were common now, but will definitely increase they value in a year or so—like that Spike Spiegel Funko I decided not to buy a couple years ago, and now it's worth like ten times its original value or something.
Think about it: a business specialized not in selling the same Funko Pops everyone's selling, but the rare ones, the discontinued ones; the kinda place collectors would get the figures they can't find anymore.
It could be a good business opportunity—even though the fact it could be doesn't mean it will be. 
Anyway, I was excited with the idea, so I started dedicating all my mornings to look for rare and cheap Funko Pops—and all my afternoons to read, write and learn how to draw. 
The first day I visited some convenience stores. Some of them had a few ones, but they weren't that interesting—all of them were sold even cheaper everywhere online.
I also visited a geek store near there. They had A LOT of Funkos. Walls and walls of them, so I spent a lot of time looking for the ones I didn't see everywhere/knew they were basically worthless, taking pictures of the interesting ones, looking for them online, asking the clerk about their prices, and getting disappointed because they were expensive. 
Except for one: a Guillermo del Toro Funko Pop!
I didn't know that existed, so I checked online, and they were some on sale, but at a really high price.
When I asked the clerk for the price on that one, he told me it was on clearance.
So I obviously bought it.
I sold it the same day—even though I was almost certain no one would want it.
Then I start buying more and more of those Funkos. At first I just bought the ones that were cheaper than other places and may increase their price in the future—like a SSJ Goku glow in the dark, a Darth Maul, a Jackie Chun Limited Edition.
I then realized I spent a considerable amount of money—but nothing to worry too much about; I just used a big part of my emergency savings, and not my life saving (which I'm not gonna touch for this.)
So I decided to start thinking a little bit more about my investments. I checked online for all the offers available for the franchises that seemed promising to me—you know, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Disney, Evangelion, Naruto, Star Wars, and so on. And when I say all, I mean all—we're talking the bottom of the barrel here.
I found a cheap Cowbow Bebop collection—everything except Spike and Ed with Ein—at a really cheap price—but when I bought it the seller backed down because he solved his financial problem that made him offer that part of his personal collection, and I was happy but sad about it.
I also found a cheap Evangelion collection—Summer Convention Asuka, regular Asuka, Shinji, Rei and a bloody Eva Unit 1. The limited Asuka had a little bump on the bottom, but considering the price it was worth it.
Except I already had a bloody Eva Unit 1.
At first I was like: "It's Evangelion, it's a safe investment. And those are exclusives. They're gonna increase their price in no time."
And then I was like: "Maybe, but I don't need two of them. Besides, the Eva I have right now has a free change or refund warranty from the site—the country's equivalent to eBay." 
So I bought that guy's collection.
Then I waited its arrival—all the figures were in really good conditions, even the Convention Asuka, whose bump wasn't that big of a deal—checked both Evas and returned the one in the least great condition—which was the one I had in the first place. 
The company that sold me the first one asked me why I wanted the refund, and I said I didn't need it anymore or something like that. Then they just texted me: "well, we'll losing money for the return shipment, but it's fine."
That same day, I received a couple Funkos I bought online from different sellers—a Rock Lee and an Itachi. The last one even came with a protector box—you know, the plastic and transparent ones that are supposed to keep your Funko in pristine conditions. 
But underneath the protector box I could see the Funko's box was kinda broken.
Irony, I know.
When I tried to return it, I realize this one didn't have the free change & refund warranty, so I had talk to the seller and convince him to change my product for free. 
And the seller was none other than the one of the passive-aggressive text.
So, I sent them the most apologetic message I could write.
They just told me to return the Funko and gave me a refund.
And that was that.
Then I came to the conclusion I still wasn't investing and managing my improvised store smartly enough, so I made an Excel file with all the items I considered interesting from all the stores and sites I visited: it had their price; the lowest price I could sell it in different sites—the eBay equivalent, Amazon (I'm currently working to be a seller there, but it's not that easy,) Facebook Marketplace, and maybe eBay (I still have to check out everything about that site, though, but it seems really worth it)—considering taxes, shipping and the site's commission; the suggested price to sell it in each site with a moderate profit margin; the profit margin I would be earning depending on the price I decided to sell it; the lowest prices from the competitors from each site; the profit margin I would be making if I sold it at those prices.
Also the file had my inventory and all the data about profit, competitor's prices, suggested price, etcetera.
It also has a simple calculator with all that data so I could check really quickly if an offer was worth my interest or not.
I know, I know, that's what Excel's for, and most people could do something way better in a blink of an eye.
But this is something I made with no job experience in that regard. 
I haven't used Excel since college.
And I think I did pretty well, so I'm proud of myself.
Anyway, when I finish preparing this improvised business maybe I'd need to get a job to get some money to invest—and to recover my previous investment, and to save a little... if I can.

So maybe I'll have to start the job-looking cycle once again.

Becoming a hikikomori has nothing to do with rejecting society or having trouble adapting. It’s about emptiness.
