This no ordinary novel, rather, it is not a novel at all but in this, I will explore my view of philosophy cause I am bored and have no thing of value to do in my time.

Avanaeon's attitude and active participation in this side project suggested something unsettling to Ves. The chief engineer never said anything concrete, but his actions betrayed a considerable lack of confidence in their survival odds.
What kind of swamp did the Starlight Megalodon lead them all into? Ves got the sense that it drew in moths to the flame. Any bug that approached only risked getting burnt to a crisp.
"It won't be long now before we arrive."
The Vandals all made preparations. Drills intensified while the Vandals started shedding their uniforms for hazard suits and combat suits for an increasing amount of time. Though the bulky outfits hindered their work, nobody wanted to get caught flat footed without protection!
The longer they wore the suits, the more they got used to moving and working with them. Once the critical moment arrived, they'd be able to stay on the ball without encountering any hindrance in their work.
Each Vandal kept themselves busy to an extent. The mech pilots all poured into the simulator pods while the mech technicians all put the finishing touches on the recently-modified mechs. Some crews who already finished their essential tasks early began to tune up some of the mechs, temporarily allowing them to run smoother and better for a couple of deployments.
Due to these final preparations, Chief Avanaeon needed to spend more time in his own department at the engineering bay. Ves pretty much took over the end phase of his side project. After meticulously testing and tweaking the different stealth mechanisms, Ves finally declared the shuttle to be cleared for use, at least without putting it to a live test.
Ves put a hand on the surface of the shuttle. His skin brushed over the fine patterned surface of the stealth plating in appreciation. "Ugly brick you may be, you're still the best invention I've ever made to date."
The value of the stealth shuttle surpassed his high-powered gadgets. Certainly, from a technological perspective, his ultracompact batteries won the prize in terms of sophistication. However, the utility of the stealth shuttle far surpassed a handheld gadget for its ability to hide its occupant from regular scanners and sensors.
Certainly, it lacked the power reserves to maintain its active stealth for a very long time, but that was plenty enough to slowly make a getaway and find somewhere safe and quiet to turn off the energy-hungry systems.
"It doesn't even have to be exclusively employed as a means of escape. I can also use it to infiltrate an enemy ship or space station, or to get close to a restricted area."
The only regret he had was that the Six-Sided Dice lacked the capability to enter a terrestrial planet's atmosphere. Its underpowered antigrav modules and sublight propulsion lacked the power to keep the shuttle aloft under standard gravity conditions for longer than a minute.
Even landing or lifting off from a shuttle bay subjected under standard artificial gravity became problematic for that reason!
To lift off under those circumstances either required dialing down the artificial gravity or a willingness to overload the antigrav modules embedded into the cube.
Naturally, each time they overloaded the antigrav modules, their effective lifespan decreased. They couldn't keep that up for very long.
It might still be able to land safely on a moon with a weak gravity, but it definitely couldn't land on a massive terrestrial planet with up to five times the gravity of Old Earth!
"For better or worse, this shuttle is a space hopper."
That severely limited its utility, but what choice did he have?
Now that the project came to an end and delivered a result, Ves moved the Six-Sided Dice out of the workshop and back to the shuttle bay. He made sure to secure it in an out-of-the-way spot where the mech technicians and flight technicians wouldn't be able to stumble upon it and mess around with the cube.
As he returned to his office, he greeted Ketis as she stood behind her terminal with her eyes narrowed in thought. Ves had never seen her think so deep as now. It showed that she took her last and most difficult assignment with unprecedented gravity.
"How are you so far with formulating your design philosophy?" He asked as he approached her seated form and patted her shoulder pauldron.
Both of them wore their suits of combat armor right now. The contrast between light and heavy combat armor made him appear a little shorter and leaner than Ketis.
"I can't make up my mind. I've pretty made up my mind on devoting my attention to swordsman mechs, but that's not narrow enough for me to specialize in. I still feel as if I'm missing something unique, something that's exclusively mine. Do you understand?"
Ves nodded. "I do. My own design philosophy and specialty are like that. It's so rare and outlandish that nobody has ever thought of treading my path. That's exactly the way I like it, because retreading other people's paths won't contribute to the industry at all. Our design philosophies represent our legacies, Ketis. What we are working towards may not be achievable to anyone, but they will leave behind a record that will be part of your fundamental design makeup for the rest of your life."
To his knowledge, a design philosophy could change over time. Sometimes, a mech designer gained an epiphany or breakthrough in their work that allowed them to shape and direct their design philosophy to a different direction.
A mech designer could also become unduly affected by outside influences. To an Apprentice, a strong exposure to mental contamination almost always ruined their originality. To Journeymen and higher, their design philosophies possessed enough strength to withstand outside coercion. The only way they changed their form was if a mech designer allowed themselves to be affected by external stimuli.
As a design philosophy stood for a mech designer's belief in pursuing an ideal or turning something impossible into reality, they needed to be broad enough to clear a way to the top but narrow enough to keep them focused on a single path.
From what Ves had gathered from Ketis, she already set out a broad direction for her design philosophy. She wanted to work with swordsman mechs. Yet merely wishing that she could design the best swordsman mechs wasn't precise enough to serve as her goal.
What made a mech good or bad?
The best performance? What would be the criteria for the 'best' mechs? Best armor? Mechs with the best armor always turned out to be the slowest. That didn't sound like the best mechs at all. Mechs that focused on offense mostly sacrificed defense or speed, but balancing between all three of them meant that the mech excelled in none of those areas.
Mech designers who aimed to design the 'best' mechs almost never achieved anything substantial in their careers. The problem originated from a broad and inexact definition of what constituted the best mechs.
What may possibly be the best mechs in the galactic center may not fit the needs of those in the galactic rim. Even if someone designed the most high-performing mech in history, cost and resource considerations may make it impossible for such a machine to be built at all!
What was the use of a fantasy design if nobody in the galaxy could gather the resources necessary to produce a single copy of it? If mech designers could advance to the rank of Master by designing fantasy designs that had no basis in reality, then there would have been a lot more of them around by now.
Anyone who set their design philosophy to design the 'best' mechs always fell flat from the start. Ves specifically instructed Ketis not to go for this route.
"Ambition needs to be tempered by a small consideration of practicality." He said. "When mech designers initially compose their design philosophy, there's a tendency for them to become greedy and aim to design the best mechs, ones that are perfect in terms of offense, defense, speed and more. Yet such an ambition is impossibly large. It would be like trying to eat an elephant in a single bite. Rather than take on the whole animal, it's best you narrow down your ambitions and cut out a specific piece of flesh from the animal before you begin to eat."
"I already know that, teacher. It's just.. I can't decide what I want to pursue. I'm not as crazy enough as you for wanting to make my mechs come alive or whatever it is you're after. Yet I don't really feel for trying to pursue a single extreme such as designing the most agile or the most resilient swordsman mechs."
Creativity played a huge role in the formulation of a design philosophy. Ves actually didn't have enough experience in this aspect since his design philosophy gradually came into being after he became fascinated by the X-Factor due to the System's interference.
If Ves really wanted to, he could do the same thing to Ketis as the System did to him. He could manipulate her research interest and encourage her to aim for a specific ideal of his own choosing.
Yet as he looked at this dangerous, armored, hybrid human Swordmaiden, he couldn't bring himself to do so. Even if he compromised his morals to his personal advantage every now and then, he wasn't as rotten as to ruin this deeply personal choice to his very first successful student.
He may not be the most responsible teacher in the galaxy, but he still wished to discharge his responsibilities in good faith when it concerned a student he cared about.
He also wanted to see whether he had the chops to be a legitimate teacher. As his first student, Ves wanted to see whether his instruction put Ketis on the right track to a bright future in her mech design career.
Cheating at this stage only invalidated this experiment and ruined a potentially useful observation. It would be like participating in a foot race, only to hop inside an aircar at the final stretch and race through the finish line with the power of his vehicle instead of his own two feet.
As Ves waited for Ketis to come up with a personal ambition that uniquely suited her interests, a lot of minutes passed by without any results. She hadn't even managed to narrow down her range of interests to a specific field!
He started to get the idea that Ketis may not be suited to this kind of method of formulating her design philosophy. She was never particularly a deep thinker.
"Okay, let's try something different." He declared as he clapped his gauntlets.
Ketis jumped out of her fugue and stared at Ves with an expression of doubt. "What do you mean?"
"Each person and each mech designer is different. Some have very active imaginations, others think in logical patterns. Those kinds of mech designers are most suited to formulate their design philosophies into words from their desk. You're very different from those bookworm types."
"Are you calling me stupid?" She growled.
"No. Not at all. You can study and you can think if you really have to, but it's obvious you are forcing yourself. When it comes to finding a design philosophy that uniquely suits your upbringing, your skills and your interests, it's better to rely on your feelings rather than your thoughts."
"How do I do that?"
"Listen to your heart instead of your mind."
That caused her to pause. She contemplated the suggestion, but couldn't easily get into the right mood. Still, this method felt more promising to her than the last one.
"I think I need to have a mech in front of me to come up with a good feeling." She declared.
"Alright. Let me bring you down to the mech stables. I suppose we have a few swordsman mechs stashed aboard our ship, though they're predominantly spaceborn machines."
The pair exited the office and headed down to the mech stables at the lower decks. Once they finally arrived in front of a dormant swordsman mech, drawing the attention and curiosity of the mech technicians around them, Ketis entered into a peculiar mental state without warning.

While I might be comparable to the philosophers in terms of the way of thinking and knowledge as I am from the modern times 


But in terms of applicability I may be inferior after all I didn't belong to this era so the real question is how would I be able to unify the country Philippines haven't managed to start a real civilization 


By those words I mean we may have tribes having leaders known as Datu or  Rajah mostly on the scale of a village but not on the scale of a town, province, prefecture, country and the like before being conquered 


Even after becoming independent we are inferior in terms of technology having no real foundation unlike China, Europe and America


We are already in an inherent disadvantage when we start because of the time it took to get independent even after that we still have a long way to go to be on par with the other countries that already have a solid foundation


For example even China have fire arm(guns and cannon) making technology that they have wasted, Art of War , Confucianism, Legalism and etc


While we may have Rizal but in my opinion he could have created a new philosophy(one in how a country should be) which may be more of an eye-opener than his works because it will make people more aware that they are mistreated and what should they do after Independence


What kind of country should be created  and what makes it a country such as political structure, military structure, culture, economy, education and laws 

I am no ruler that has charisma nor an general skilled in combat so how would be able to unify people 


The best thing that I could be is becoming a founder of a philosophy or in order words a teacher

When Connor walked past the ramp down to the cargo bay, he caught snippets of conversation. He paused and listened, then realized it was Rudy. After a second, he recognized the other voice as Aubriella’s.
They were talking about weapons: fire modes, rate of fire, the importance of cover.
And then Rudy mentioned the superiority of the Sandil AWS-5X.
Connor headed down the ramp, a smile coming over his face and a warmth settling into his chest, even though he thought he could still smell a little of Drew’s filthy clothes in the hangar bay air.
He hadn’t been sure about Aubriella until now, especially after the incident in the galley with her trying to sneak alcohol into her protein drink.
The former Obsidian Trooper sergeant was several meters aft of the ramp, still wearing the black T-shirt and cargo pants from earlier in the day. Or maybe he was wearing a fresh set. His wardrobe was even more limited than the rest of the crew’s, coming down to the same black shirt and pants exclusively. Aubriella stood at his side, dressed as she’d been earlier. She was concentrating on the assault rifle the scarred man held.
The Sandil AWS-5X Lem had found while doing inventory.
“Late night training?” Connor chuckled.
The two turned, and Aubriella smiled. “Hey, Lieutenant! I finally had a chance to hold the Sandil! Wow! It’s a lot lighter than I expected.”
Rudy scowled. “It’s not loaded. And there’s no scope on it. You’ll want a smart-link for it, too. Everyone on the team should have one.”
“I didn’t mean that in a bad way, Sergeant Walton. I’m sorry.”
Connor strolled to where they stood. “I was actually going to give the shuttle a look.” He pointed forward, to the hatch that connected the cargo bay to the small shuttle bay. “Did you happen to see Yemi or Drew go in?”
The sergeant considered for a moment, then shook his head. “We’ve been going through the basics for about an hour—disassembly, cleaning, loading and unloading.”
Aubriella rolled her eyes. “Empty magazines.”
Rudy scowled. “No one’s come down but you, Lieutenant. Everything okay?”
“Actually, yes.” Connor hadn’t wanted Drew to work so late her first night. Quick-release cabling held a patch panel in place near the aft airlock. That meant she’d already prepared for the outer hull work he would help her with in the morning. “Thanks.”
Aubriella’s gaze went from Connor to the rifle. “Hey, Lieutenant?”
“Yes?”
“Are you a marksman?”
“A marksman? No.”
“But you’ve shot a gun before.”
Connor straightened. “Sergeant Walton has me qualify every year.”
“Oh.” She seemed to deflate.
Rudy held the assault rifle with its barrel pointed down at an angle—low ready. “The lieutenant can show you how to defend yourself without a gun.”
Her eyes lit up again. “You’re a martial arts expert?”
Before Connor could downplay his abilities, Rudy puffed out his chest. “The lieutenant here has trained in a half dozen martial arts. He’s mastered a couple of them.”
“Wow!” The young woman made funny eyes, like a schoolgirl with a crush. Then she frowned. “But that must’ve taken forever.”
To someone her age, Connor imagined it would probably seem that way. “I started young. My father had a gym. He was a Muay Thai fighter—probably the best there was.”
“Kickboxing? Why would you bother doing that when you could use a gun?”
“Because you won’t always have a gun. Sometimes, even the best weapon fails you.”
Rudy cleared his throat—a not-so-subtle signal that he disagreed. “The best defense is layered. Ammunition might run out.”
Aubriella nodded. “Oh. But does anyone really train in hand to hand anymore? Really?”
The sergeant’s face darkened, and he looked ready to chew her out.
It was Connor’s turn to clear his throat. “Actually, I followed a certain path—a philosophy. That’s all there is to it. Killing someone with a rifle or killing them with a strike to the throat…they’re still dead.”
“Well…” The young woman twisted the corner of her lip up until her cheek protruded. “I think a gun is faster?”
“Than philosophy? Yes.”
“But, if it’s faster—?”
Rudy sighed. “The lieutenant said he followed a philosophy to arrive where he’s at. That’s the end of the discussion.”
When Aubriella’s cheeks turned red, Connor swallowed. “I didn’t mean to cause trouble.”
The old sergeant squinted. “No trouble at all, Lieutenant. She’s young.”
“Right.” Connor took a step closer to the young woman, head lowered slightly. “When I was about your age, I heard about someone doing something very brave. It was a man a lot of people said was dangerous. He wanted to change the world order, to make things better for people like you and me.”
Aubriella’s lips formed an ‘o.’ “I heard about that.”
“Zacharias Wentz.”
“Yeah. That was the name. He was a terrorist.”
Rudy’s chin came up—not quite defiant, not quite embarrassed. “Some say.”
Connor smiled. “Philosophy is about discussion to reach an understanding. Zacharias didn’t live long enough to have that dialogue. But he did teach me how to walk a certain path in life.”
The young woman looked from her trainer to her lieutenant, and understanding flashed in her eyes. “You two don’t agree?”
“We were on opposite sides.”
Rudy sucked in a deep breath. “The Obsidian Troopers made three sorties against Wentz’s forces. Philosophical differences or not, they were fine soldiers.”
Aubriella blinked. “But…I heard they were all killed? How…?”
“Not by us, they weren’t. We were pulled back when the final assault happened. The lieutenant here was the only survivor.”
“Wow.” The young woman shook her head. “Um, can I ask a question, Lieutenant?”
“Sure.” Connor hoped the questions about Wentz were over.
“It’s about the way everyone’s freaking out. Is that because of Gregor?”
“Gregor? You mean his stories?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, some of us are always odd, I guess.”
“Like the twins?” She glanced at Rudy. “They’re not really twins, right?”
The sergeant relaxed. “Might want to ask them about that, right, Lieutenant?”
Connor shoved his hands into his pockets. “It’s complicated. I think talking to them is probably the best way to go.”
“But—“ Aubriella leaned closer. “—they’re so hung up on business news.”
“That’s not odd, is it?”
“Do they have money? I mean, who cares about all that money and how it’s spent if you don’t have any?”
“It’s about their brother. I think you’re best off asking them if you want details.”
“Oh. Okay.”
Connor saluted Rudy. “I’ll let you two get back to training.”
As Connor climbed the ramp, he realized that despite the discussion being uncomfortable, it had managed to take his mind off the situation with Selen. With his nerves calmed, maybe he could slip back into his cabin and get some sleep.
He hoped so. His gut told him that when they reached their destination, the opportunities for rest were going to be few and far between.

"It's my own creation. I haven't really given it a good name. I call it the Combined Fighting Method but the move I used to take you down comes from the Giant's Anger Martial School. It's a school that focuses mostly on grappling and takedowns. That particular move was one I took a fancy to."

"I thought you said you were trying to show me the effectiveness of your martial arts, and now I'm finding out that it wasn't even your invention, what's the deal old man."

"What I showed to you was the effectiveness of my martial art philosophy. I used a total of 4 moves on you all deriving from 4 different martial arts, individually the things I can achieve are limited but when combined I achieved a flawless victory."

"So what your telling me is that your teaching me stolen martial arts isn't that frowned upon by martial artists"

"Turkey shit! Most of those so-called martial artists don't know anything about the reality of the Martial expert world, let alone the Ranker world. Out here the only rule is survival, that way of thinking was only promoted as a way to keep those low-level noobs from stealing or more likely leaking their technique and martial secrets. At a high level "move stealing happens all the time most just do it subconsciously as once you're at that level trivial things like move ownership don't matter it's only those who survive that get to preserve and tout their Artform and skills. Let that be your second lesson from me."

"If everyone does it how come your acting like you created something special your still only taking credit for other people's work."

"I guarantee you most of the creators of the martial arts these moves come from are rolling in their graves seeing at how their descendants teach and employ the fruits of their labor neither improving upon it nor perfecting it. "Whatever makes you feel better, old man, but what is this martial art philosophy you talk about."

"So you were paying attention, a good listener will make the job much easier, indeed what my goal at this time of my life is to make my martial philosophy into martial law that no Martial arts school academy dojo way or path can ignore, I'm convinced that my philosophy is the natural progression of martial arts, that there is no true singular style, form, or technique that is perfect and all-encompassing, the best style is no style to be flexible and adapt, to know your situation and your options, to react accordingly no matter the threat that is my martial philosophy the thought process behind my Combined Fighting Method."

I listened to what the old man said, and everything he said about his Martial Art Philosophy resonated with me deeply.

In a way that was how I had conducted my journey to become a Ranker so far. I rejected no knowledge, was open to all things, and willing to learn, and did my best to be prepared for a variety of situations. Maybe meeting this old man was truly my fortune; his way of thinking was really compatible with my own.

'Okay old man Kemoro will give your philosophy a shot but I'm giving you a warning don't expect much from me I've never really been exceptional."

"Any person who can become a Ranker is worthy of recognition, have more confidence in yourself, and besides the selling point of the Combined Fighting Method is that anyone can learn it and at the very least become a competent Unranked expert. You said what's different about other people borrowing from other arts compared to me. Well for starters they haven't systemized such actions as I have. I don't borrow just to borrow. I make sure that it fits the vision of whatever objective I'm trying to achieve."

I was baffled at how this old man could spin the act of stealing, into borrowing but I had to admit he had made multiple valid points throughout his explanation of his Art form and way of thinking.

The old man continued to explain to me even more reasons why his "borrowing" was different than the others.

"Furthermore in order to make it as accessible and efficient as possible, I haven't really incorporated any of the Martial art styles high-level moves, what they call ultimate, signature, hidden, secret, or whatever other nonsense word they use to describe a move that's usually not efficient or viable for most situations and usually comes at a huge cost."

Wow, so the old man had a soul.

"Now I'm not completely knocking these kinds of moves, they can even be said to be something that's necessary at higher levels but to pursue those kinds of moves from the start is not the way of a true expert. After years of observation, I have discovered most of fighting's fundamental rules, traits, and laws and have based my methods structure and its foundation upon them. All moves, skills, and techniques are nothing but a tool, a means to an end. Once I start training you these are what you will learn. For now, I am tired let us begin training tomorrow, I noticed you were in no rush and neither am I."

After listening to what the old man said and getting the creepy feeling that he had been following me I decided to call it a day as well.

The battle with the old man had also made me exhausted, and that wasn't a good way to start any sort of endeavor.

"Before I start I will warn you that although my martial art is accessible and efficient it is in no way easy, the training and teaching I will impart to you will be harsh and tedious. Part of the philosophy of my martial art is that repetition is the key to success. So if you don't have a strong will I suggest you give up before you waste your time."

"I already agreed after you beat me up do you really think I'm going to give up now I'm going to see through his until the end."

" That's the kind of attitude and spirit you're going to need in your pursuit of any martial art if you want to achieve anything, another thing although I haven't planned it out I doubt this will take less than six months if we're doing this we're doing it right and I'm not about to cut any corners is that okay with you."

"As you said before I'm in no rush as long as what I'm learning is valuable on my journey I'm willing to take as long as I need to."

"Very well remember your words, the art of combat and more specifically fighting is a derivative of what is its father, art the art of war, and so share many characteristics with it although not all. The most important characteristic that it shares is the emphasis on deception, information, and strategy. Most people don't think of these things when they're fighting but from the very beginning, the one who is superior to the other in all of these things is the one who is most likely to win. In fact, Martial Arts as its main function is to give you the tools to be able to perform these 3 things at their most optimum level. Those who cannot understand that have already failed as martial artists. Of course, it's not always possible to be prepared in all three of these things which is why Martial arts usually focus on the third characteristic which is the one they can control the best."

I had just started the lesson and things were already difficult and confusing, I still managed to follow what he was saying but for how long would that be the case. This man had analyzed the Art of Fighting to a level I never thought was possible.

"Don't worry if you can't understand everything I'm saying in due time everything will make sense, for now just listen to what I say. Until now I have observed that there are 10 fundamental traits that go into performing or creating a martial art, Training, fight fundamentals, fighting do's and don'ts, fighting type, fighting form, fighting stance, fighting skill, fighting style, fighting tactic, movement creation and finally fighting specification. Any fighting art that falls short in any of these is incomplete. once you understand the nuances within all of these the world of martial arts will open up to you and only the sky will be left to conquer."

As soon as he got to the fundamentals I blanked out, there was no way I could tell difference between any of those terms, I guess ill just trust what he says and learn them with time.

"For now we'll focus on the first four, training we will get to in a moment. Right now I'll explain to you the meaning of the other 3 in order. The fighting fundamentals you will be focusing on during the beginning phase of your martial training are posture, stance, general defense, attack technique, tactical skills, and tactical moves. Along with them the do's and don'ts when performing such fundamentals, the primary of which is to never let the root of their execution be broken or disrupted. Ultimately all these can be applied to supplement and augment your ability to learn and practice the 5 primary fighting types, striking, clinching, grappling, ground fighting, and the often neglected ranged."

I was still confused but after the initial surprise at the depth of old man Kemoros' understanding of fighting, I was starting to get a general idea of what I would be learning.

Old man Kemoro had managed to break down every aspect of what was needed to be an effective fighter. By knowing the principles behind combative actions you had more control and the ability to perform them better and improve upon them.

That principle applied to almost everything in life.

To reach the peak of existence, to follow a Sentient Beings innate urge to Ascend to reach the realm of its beginning, to rule with wisdom, might, and longevity....What path must one choose? Is the path SCIENCE- innovation, research, and technology? Or is it MAGIC- to manifest phenomena, command and bend the laws of the world? Do you Kneel to the supreme beings and WORSHIP Gods and ask for enlightenment? Or do you look within and embrace the essence of your life to Will yourself to the top? Does NATURE hold the key? Will the universe pick its own path for you and give you a glimpse of the summit. This is POTESTERA!!! Where worlds and ideals of power clash, where nothing is certain except power and discord. Today was an important day for the Blue Sun Sect.
It was the day that the new students had their first lecture on cultivation.
Blue Sun, like most other sects in the world, accepted students, both male, and female, at the age of 10.
This was the age that the average person would reach the peak of the foundation realm.
The first lecture then would be an important one for the future of the students, as it was when they would be taught about the intricacies of true cultivation that began with breaking through to the internal realm.
Every sect had their own unique Philosophy of what Qi was and how to use it, that differs slightly or massively from other sects. And the students of the sects would then slightly distort this Philosophy, even more, to fit them personally.
The way that a cultivator views their Qi and the way it flows is incredibly important for their future development. It will determine what they can and cannot do.
An individual that views Qi as fire, for example, would be unsuitable to learn talismans as their Qi will be too volatile and lead to an unusable product. Furthermore, certain techniques would be almost impossible for them
There is an infinite number of ways that people view Qi. Each individual is slightly different. none of them are right and none of them are wrong. Although, debates between cultivators trying to decide which view is the best, is quite common and can lead to conflicts.
This is why the first lecture is so important, it will be the main determiner of how the students view their Qi.
If a student of a sect doesn't follow the sect Philosophy, then it is likely that they would be expelled as the sects techniques and skills won't fit the student
Therefore the students watched intently as the old elder walked into the large circular room emanating power and stood like a ridged pole in the center of the room, surrounded by the curious gazes of the future of the sect.
"QI is the most important thing in the universe" The elder's composed voice seemed to command respect as it reached the students' young ears "QI is like the light that blazes from the sun, it brings life to all it touches" The elder continued, starting to plant the seeds of the Blue Sun Sects Philosophy.

Geniuses can seem as common as blades of grass in an untouched field. But they're not true geniuses, no, true geniuses are few and far between. Jin Chenxi is undoubtedly a genuine genius unmatched in talent and ability. Watch as the world Tries to destroy him. Watch him succeed nevertheless.

Bang!

In a dark desolate alley, a gunshot rang, blood splattered on the floor and walls. A man was limply running for his life, holding his wounded shoulder while holding an azure crystal on the other hand.

'Damn! I don't know that we are also being targeted. They are lowering our numbers to weaken our group. I need another minute, and then I might survive this. Oh Sh*t!'

Bang! Another gunshot was heard.

The man's back was lethally hit. The man dropped on the ground, blood spill everywhere. His legs have gone weak, his breathing becomes laborious.

With his weakened state, he leaned on the wall, coughing blood. He looked at his assailant with glaring eyes.

'So it's a magic gun. That explains why he can still damage me even though I wore a bulletproof vest.' He wounded man said.

The assailant grins while looking at the man's pathetic state, he pointed the magic gun aiming for the man's head.

The wounded man saw his assailant's action. He raised his hand that is holding the azure crystal, hoping that he can block the deadly blow.

Bang!

The bullet flew breaking through the wind, heading right to the azure crystal. But right when the bullet was 2 inches away from the crystal, a strong reflective force pushed the bullet away hitting the assailant right in the head instead.

Cracking sound was heard. All of the wounded man's bones were broken. He was not exempted by that strong reflective force. His bones slowly disintegrate turning him into a meat paste. The crystal then shoots above the sky, flying about 100 meters high.
 
Two dead bodies lay on the ground, a headless man and a meat paste.

While the crystal dropped a few meters away from the incident.  Right when the crystal dropped, a person in student uniform was walking to the direction where the crystal supposed to drop.

"Ouch!"

The student touched his head, right on the bump while cursing. The student then searches the source of his pain.

He saw an azure crystal with cracks over its surface right on the ground. The student picked the crystal, curious of its origin.

'Where did this crystal came from? Who hit me with t. . . .' Before he can finish speaking a blinding blue light hovered all over him, just like a scene of an alien abduction.

"F*ck!"

In a blink of an eye, the student vanished from sight.

1 hour ago.
A facility inside of a fully secured camp.

"Where are the others? They should be right here so we can start briefing." The brawny man asked.

A soldier saluted to the brawny man and reported. "Reporting to General, we lost contact of the three voyagers. Dr. Mike Dison, Alan Silang a ranger, and Philip Su a businessman."

"We didn't expect this attack. It seems like the other countries won't give us a chance to rise to the other side. We are only given 10 slots to get there every year. But with this incident, we only have 7." The brawny general lamented.

Then brawny general swung his right hand horizontally.

Crack!

Right next to the general's hands, space seems to tear apart. The general pulled out an odd-looking smartphone inside the torn space.

The general placed the smartphone in front of him. A moving image of an old man with a tribal tattoo over his face was shown on the smartphone's screen.

"Greeting tribal priest Racal, we lost contact of the 3 voyagers. I would like to ask if you can still sense those three crystals?" the brawny general sincerely requested to the tribal priest on the screen with respect written all over his face.

"It seems like they are planning to weaken our own forces. Wait a moment General Cogon." The tribal priest then vanished on the screen.

30 seconds later the tribal priest appeared on the screen again.

"I can still sense the two crystals. One of the two crystals signal is very faint, it must be damaged. The damage one will not stably send the voyager, there will be a possibility that the voyager will die. While the other one is permanently destroyed." The tribal priest explained.

"Now we have 8 people left. The other one only has a small percentage of safety while traveling. Tribal priest Racal, I thank you for helping me. I owe you one. I request the tribal priest to report this to the tribe leader. We are now being targeted by other countries to lessen the rivalries. We wanted to ask for the tribe leader to provide us some monetary help. This will help us to create a much safer facility for the next voyagers. We will recruit new generation talents to teach them forging, logical, mathematical, and scientific academics, medicine, combat, your world's information, and magical philosophy. This is what we planned for the monetary fund that we request. I would like to trouble tribal priest."  General Cogon bowed his head to the smartphone's screen.

The tribal priest seems to like the idea that is provided by the general. He nodded his head and assured General Cogon that the tribal leader will provide help.

General Cogon then placed the smartphone inside the crack space. He then commanded, "Call the 7 voyagers we will start the briefing."

"Yes, general." The soldier then saluted to General Cogon and performed his given task.

A minute later seven people arrived in front of General Cogon.

"Everyone please gather in front. We will start the briefing with the seven of you." General Cogon looked at the seven voyagers in front of him then he continued. "The three that is not present here meet were attacked by unknown individuals at the same time. Of the three only one will safely join you to the other side. Now let me brief you what is your responsibilities to the other side."

After briefing the 7 people, a minute later they were covered with blinding blue light and vanish out of sight.

After the 7 people vanished, General Cogon received the test information of the entire voyagers.

True Fundamentals of becoming a mech designer:
Creativity is greater than Rationality:  Don't get me wrong but the most important thing when it comes to designing fundamentals is creativity or passion we want to generate up force into the your improvement and have it flow smoothly towards achieving your own ideal mech. The first thing we want to do is maximize that creativity or passion we want the heart and the mind move as one no matter what age we want the passion and the brain become one which means you have to think in different perspective the design philosophy has to adjust than it  too but they had to be connected together automatically you will have one of the biggest fundamentals right now so you won't lose the ability to make innovations in mech designs

Transforming over Time: The next key is that there is no such thing as  perfect design style we all have different perspective so having one design philosophy for each person is not realistic so what we want to do is design a bunch of mechs and figure out why are you not improving analyze your knowledge look at it from different angles and cross it with the basic mechanics or knowledge so you know what you can do about it figure it from there backtracking it fixing it so  remember it is a transformation over time so if you are master don't design the exact same way  when you're a journeyman because it is dangerous number one is your mind going to be mentally developed as a journeyman going to develop towards as you will have in the future probably not right so first and foremost your design style has to develop and change anything in between second if do force everybody to have the same design style or how to design when they are older you will lose a lot of mech designers because guess what is not fun not improving nobody likes stagnation so when I go saying you have to do this or your not allowed to design mechs because you are not skilled or knowledgeable enough. you are not going to do it because it's not fun right designing the mechs have to be fun and making improvements is actually fun so  what I like to do have a rhythm and have a set where you're design style transform over time nobody cares if you have to use unorthodox methods because we can fix it down the line or improve it so your not going to design like that forever it is going to transform over time working on your design style in a transformative path is not going to be end where you start if you can do that you have a fantastic fundamental designing mechs to get your personalized design philosophy

Be Result Based: The number one rule is be results based if it ain't broke don't fix it so don't forget that goal of your design style is to express your understanding of mechs or make the practical application of your design philosophy so you  don't want to mess it up so if it doesn't have any major problem I don't care how you design as long as you make the results count or make improvements


Mech Designing and Mystery:
Mech Designing is the art of creating mechs suitable for the use of mech pilots. Their is no perfect mech and the essence of becoming a mech designer is to create the best mech using rationality and creativity

A design philosophy is one's personal expression of mech design. Its qualities are influenced by but not restricted to the user's natural or initial category of their speciality, one of the six available.

 A design  style is used to project one's design philosophy to carry out a certain function, creating a special and unique ability for each mech designer

Once a certain level of skill has been attained, the mech designer can attempt to create their personal design philosophy in the form of a design seed and since they can have an immensely vast range of effects achieving journeyman level further improving it progressively to the next ranks, it is ultimately up to the mech designer's choice and passion towards mech design depending on their design style

A good design philosophy reflects a person's own character, regardless of its complexity; one can never truly master mech design if they only copy someone else's abilities and design philosophy

Mysteries and Equivalent Exchange:

"Mysteries are things that aren't assimilated by the human order, or widespread knowledge of humanity. It is the concepts, the unknown, that humanity has not mastered, If humanity has completely mastered the concept, then it no longer has Mystery, yet if humanity knows it but still struggles to define it in context of everything else already assimilated into understanding, it possesses some Mystery. But if no one understands it, it possesses great amounts of Mystery

 "In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed. that is the principle of Equivalent Exchange"

Equivalent Exchange is separated into two parts:

The Law of Conservation of Mass: which states that energy and matter can neither be created from nothing nor destroyed to the point of elemental nonexistence. In other words, to create an object with the mass of one kilogram, at least one kilogram of material is necessary; destroying an object with the mass of one kilogram would reduce it to a set of parts, the sum of which would have the mass of one kilogram.


The Law of Natural Providence, which states that an object or material made of a particular substance or element can only be transmuted into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material. In other words, an object or material made mostly of spiritual energy can only be transmuted into another object with the attributes of spiritual energy such as a design seed or force of will


Specialty Categories based on mysteries:

There are six types of mysteries ; every individual is born having one of these six different  types. Upon learning one's own mystery type, a student can set about learning to apply the technique in a unique way that suits their personality, which can develop into a unique skill which will be part of your arsenal. Spiritual Energy serve as a vessel to contain mystery



Enhancement  is the ability to use a mystery to increase the natural abilities of something. This is the most balanced type

An affinity for Transmutation means a person can change the properties of their spiritual energy to mimic something else, or only specific attributes.

An affinity for Emission  means that the user has an easier time separating their mysteries from their body. spiritual energy usually decreases in intensity very quickly when it leaves the source body


Conjuration  is intended as the ability to create a physical, independent, material object out of one's mysteries although they also be something intangible. Spiritual Energy Constructs created through conjuration have a subtle independence on them

Abilities belonging to Manipulation allow the user to control living or non-living things, including mystery constructs

Specialization  could be broadly defined as anything that does not belong in any of the other five categories, making it the vaguest mystery type


Creating your design seed:
Though no machine or equipment is needed to produce the spiritual energy necessary for crystalization of your own design philosophy to form your design seed, merely understanding the sequence of advancement and the limitations of Equivalent Exchange is not enough.



 The sequence to create a design philosophy is usually described as:

1.Comprehension - Understanding your own perspective about mechs or the compilation of all your knowledge about mechs to be used as the materials for your design philosophy, including the flow and balance of creativity and rationality within your design style


2 .Deconstruction - Using your judgement to break down your perspective and knowledge of designing mechs into a more malleable state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form which will reorganize them


3.Reconstruction - Continuing the flow of creativity and rationality that is collectively known as judgement so as to reform your understanding and knowledge into a new shape sorting and combining your perspective about mechs and your knowledge about mechs reorganizing them to form a single whole and crystalizing it in the form of your design seed which is the embryonic form of your design philosophy containing all your understanding and knowledge about mechs serving as data storage and processor that  helps you design mechs


Principles of Advancement:

"The design philosophy is reminiscent of water, whereas the design seed is the bucket containing the water. With a sturdy bucket, one can fill more water, and the quality of which would be higher..."


For an analogy, assume the design seed was a glass. How large it was would determine the amount of water it could hold. The quality of the materials used to make it, in the meantime, would determine how hot could the temperature of the liquid be before the walls cracked .

If one loses their skin, where can their hairs lodge into?

The same goes for the relationship between design philosophy and one's design serc. Only a powerful and compact design seed  is capable of withstanding the full potential of a design philosophy to exert even greater prowess designing mechs


Just that, the design seed is different from design philosophy. Design Philosophy can be easily quantified and it isn't difficult to gauge how much progress and knowledge one possesses after one is done with one's career. On the other hand, spiritual energy are hidden to those who can't sense it's presence, so it is hard to measure one's improvement clearly as they are solidified to form your design seed to contain your design philosophy and shield your design philosophy against external influences


Although the production of spiritual energy which is crystalized in the form of a design seed is unconscious in the case of a mech designer. It not only carries your thoughts that it carries but also your desires and emotions of the owner of the design philosophy which empowers the passion and ingenuity of the person which is why it's dangerous to destroy the equilibrium of rationality and creativity that represents the two primary forms of thought and emotion which fuels the design seed to act as processor to assist you in designing mechs that is reason of having inspirations and augmenting your intuition towards mech design


Removing  either rationality or creativity cause positive effects such as being able to imitate the design philosophy of other people or being extremely proficient  in the specialty within the mysteries of your design philosophy but at what cost which is based on the rules of Equivalent Exchange for the former it would be decreasing the quality of the mysteries within your design philosophy resulting in not being able to fully imitate or utilize the design philosophy of other people at 100%   and gradually losing the ability to make innovations as you are sealing away or letting go of the possibilities contained in the mysteries within your original design philosophy while at the latter you are improving the quality of the mysteries within your design philosophy at the cost of gradually decreasing the upper limit on your other skills depending on the level of your specialty making you unable to make them at the same level as your primary skills which you have or develop in the future




So you must remember that when trying to advance and make an advancement or improve


'Stagnation is part of getting stronger. If your strength is stagnating, it means it's time for you to refine and understand your current strength. Just going forward forcefully will only stagnate you more in the future because of your lack of understanding.'

'That's the exact opposite of every Mech Designers' goal. Once your basic abilities start stagnating, you should hurry up to advance in the next rank. However, thinking about this words again, It indeed makes sense..."



One of the keys to progressing your  own design philosophy is to fall in love with it, for a lack of a better description. If you are just going through the motions, then you can forget about advancing any further than Apprentice Mech Designer.

Technically, mech designers can call ourselves engineers. However, I think it's a mistake to adopt this mentality. Mech design is more than just an engineering profession. Mech design is art. Mech design is about pushing your own vision. Mech design is about proving the entire mech industry wrong by turning the impossible into the possible! That is what a mech designer truly means to me! If you aren't committed to your design philosophy, you're just an engineer!

To become a journeyman you must find your own path, to become a senior you must improve your repertoire and to become a master you must achieve mastery and to become a star you must use the foundation of all the ranks along with your experiences as a mech designer guided by intuition formed by your creativity and rationality to create a new path to transcendence 


Starting from journeyman you solidified your design philosophy in the form of a design seed which will assist you throughout your entire career as a mech designer




You must train to achieve total mastery of your abilities as a mech designer including your specialty as the primary factor along with your repertoire as the secondary factor and spiritual energy, as the tertiary factor of your advertisement


It didn't matter what kind of power or skill you had, it also didn't matter how diverse or limited it might be. mastery was mastery, having complete and total mastery over you're skills and powers meant that you were a cut and cloth above those who weren't willing to spend the time to practice and learn more about their powers or their spheres of skills.


A mech designer and an engineer possessed the same tools. Yet to if you think about it the former distinguished itself from the latter by focusing on creation.

To create a new product, a mech designer possessed an unlimited amount of options. Each mech designer developed a unique pattern of design choices which formed their design style.

This was the mech designer's way of making sense out of the limitless possibilities.

Those who failed to develop a design style or commit to a design philosophy risked getting lost in this vast and endless forest.

In mech design, obtaining more choices wasn't always better.


This was what most mech designers  were doing by spending all of their free time on studying textbooks yet all of that distracted from the fun side of mech design.
