Mason entered the basement with all of the music equipments he bought and he noticed that his mother's shoes were gone.

"Forgot she has work."

Mason heard noises in the bathroom he saw Elizabeth entering the day before so he could assume that she was preparing to go somewhere.

He entered his bedroom and walked into shirt closet and touched some random spots on the wall before the wall opened up. It seemed like the spot on the wall he had to touch was the same as the one in the shoe closet.

He entered the secret room and began touching the wall on the other side before the wall closed.

In the secret room for shoes, there was outlets everywhere so the shirt's should be the same.

Mason looked for the best spot to set us his makeshift studio and luckily on the far left corner of the secret room was a spot where there wasn't any shirts hanged up. He first sat his laptop down and plugged it into the wall.

He began connecting everything together until the studio was ready. The reason making the studio in the secret shirt room was because it was the furthest away from his mother and Elizabeth's rooms.

He didn't want them to know about what he was doing yet. "Thank god that everything can be purchased with apps nowadays. My password for my bank account hasn't changed either. The meteor is a really generous heavenly being after all."

Mason opened up the MacBook and began setting it up. He made an account, logged in, and the first he did was connect to the WiFi. He wasn't worried about the WiFi password because he found it on his phone.

The WiFi was finally connected to his MacBook and Mason opened up safari. He searched up apps he could use to make music and he found one that costed 40 dollars.

Mason pressed download and it asked him for his name, credit card number and the sorts.

It began downloading and Mason had to decide which song he could use for his first song. He couldn't use the best songs because since he was just a new artist and that would just be a waste of a good song.

He decided to use the song, White Iverson as the first song he was going to release on SoundCloud. 

He knew that it wouldn't exactly have the same impact as the original song did for Post Malone but he wasn't afraid because if it didn't help him blow up, he still had many songs in his array. On the contrary it could go the opposite and be even more of an impact on Mason's music career than it did for Post's.

He had many reasons for choosing it. First, it made Post Malone blow up. Second, it was an amazing song that stuck to people's head. And lastly, it was 1 of the only songs that he memorized from heart.

Mason was glad that he didn't spend all of his money on his music equipments because the music video for this song was an amazing piece of art as well.

It was simple and yet it was so memorable.

Mason had some problems involving the lyrics to himself but changing it wouldn't have too much impact on the song itself, or at least that's what Mason convinced to himself.

Mason wrote the lyrics down onto a notebook that he grabbed from his room and after he finished, he edited some parts of the songs that he didn't think would fit him.

However most of the song was unedited and it still felt like a banger to Mason. He practiced singing this new versions for a while before taking a sip of water.

This bottle of water costed him 5 dollars. It was from a small store he entered while waiting for the Uber. Apparently it was good for his throat.

Although he didn't really believe, he still bought it just in case it was true.

He opened up the app that just finished downloading and because it was similar to the app his teacher had the students use in order to make a beat representing the country they choose for a project, he was able to easily navigate through the app.

Mason clicked on record and without stopping, Mason sang the whole song front to back without stopping.

After he finished I recording the song, he turned the recording off. He listened to the singing and already, he knew that it was going to be easier singing with the beat so Mason closed the vocal recording and opened up external audio.

It wasn't called the same as most apps but Mason could tell that the grid controller was accessed through there.

He clicked on each indivisual square on the grid controller and listened to what kind of sounds they made. He played around with it a bit and discovered that he could change the sounds, the pitch, and basically make the sound fit to what he needed.

There was also a piano on top so he wasn't worried about songs needing pianos.

He memorized the lyrics completely but the beat was a different situation. He could sort remember how the beat went but because he couldn't listen to the song itself, he could only guess.

After a while, he knew that he couldn't even remotely replicate the beat so he had no choice but to make his own.

He thanked his teacher for teaching the class how to make music so he had to take the hard route and make a beat around his singing.

He closed the external audio and reopened the vocal recorder. He recorded himself once again but it still didn't sound like it should have. Mason kept trying again and again until he was finally satisfied with the audio.

He listened to the audio and decided to clean it up. He wasn't improving his voice with autotune, he was just trying to further isolate his voice. Although it didn't change much, it still improved the audio. 

He changed some things here and there and finally he was completely satisfied. He listened to the song and played around some beats. He recorded them separately and duplicated his vocal audio and fit them all into each indivisual beats.

By the end, Mason had over 10 different versions of White Iverson and more than 6 hours past already. He listened to each and every single 1of them till the end of the song. 


He could immediately get rid of half of the songs. He used this process to get to his final 2. He listened to them both but he still couldn't decide so he listened once more.

Then Mason said, "Fuck it. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, Catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe." Although it was childish, it worked.

He didn't delete any versions of the song, he saved them onto a file called, "White Iverson Fails 2 Hit A 3 Point Shot".

He was just having some fun with the file and didn't mean anything serious. He wanted to keep a file of his failed versions because although they weren't the best beats, they were still representations of how much hard work he had to put into stealing somebody's song.

Mason laughed at how funny it sounded in his head.

He actually wanted the file so he could turn them into beats. Although making beats wasn't all that hard, it would be easier to just take his old beat and change some things up.

There wasn't too much problems when switching up a song even if they were made to fit the song.

Mason edited the final song just a little bit and he was ready to put it onto SoundCloud. He was hoping that by releasing it onto SoundCloud first before releasing the music video, it wasn't going to influence the popularity of the song too much.

 But before he did, he needed to make a cover for this single. He actually took photoshop class in high school so it didn't take too long to make a cover.

The cover he created wasn't the same as the one Post Malone made. Mason always thought that the cover for the single could have been made better but he didn't really want to hate on it too badly because he made it before he became a professional artist after all.

Mason opened up SoundCloud and set the whole thing up before he began uploading the song.

"And there we go. Easy money. Only costed me around 5000 if I include the tax."

Mason Cohen, a regular boy with a regular name. He was a regular millennial that followed regular news about the media. Only thing different was that he was also a fan of light novels.

That was him 4 years ago. Mason was now the highest paid actor in Hollywood and the owner of the biggest company in the world. He also took the spot of number 1 song in the world.

Chen Chuan nodded and turned to the combo package on the side, the Astell & Kern's Layla AION carbon fibre magnetic single-coil earphones.

Chen Ge did not have the time to dawdle. He had just received the call from Captain Yan, and the news about the Third Sick Hall had unsettled him. 

"Boss!" He San and Gao Ru Xue squeezed through the crowd to run toward Chen Ge. "What did you do to the Haunted House's workers?" 

"I'm just a visitor, what can I do to them?" Chen Ge raised his brow. "Also why aren't you at least a little bit worried about my safety?" 

He Sand Gao Ru Xue were baffled. Indeed, under normal circumstances, when a visitor was left alone inside the Haunted House, they should have been worried for the visitor. However, for some reason, when the two of them saw Chen Ge walk into the Haunted House, they became worried for the workers instead.

The 'pregnant ghost's' expression and the 'dead body's' gaze had both been practiced before the mirror many times before they got the expression down. Tian Teng Medical School's actors had been in this business for many years, and they were Tian Teng Medical School's biggest wealth. 

"That's all I want to say. Get back to work and remember to come pay me a visit when you're free." Chen Ge's gaze scanned the proprietor and the actors, and he smiled before turning to leave. Chen Ge did not gloat when he won, nor did he say anything sarcastic. 

Also, he had been left inside the Haunted House alone while all the workers were outside; this could be considered an accident already. If this was a personal visit, then perhaps it could be swept under the mattress, but this was in public. If Chen Ge insisted on making this big, then it would be over for Tian Teng Medical School. However, Chen Ge did not do that. In fact, he had praised the Haunted House, and this surprised the proprietor. He felt thankful. 

The guy is not as bad as I thought. Perhaps like us, he is not in it for the money but the meaning of true terror. 

The proprietor watched Chen Ge walk away and was reminded of his younger self who adored ghost movies and pranks. The bad economy for the past few years has caused me to focus on earning money, and I've forgotten the initial reason I opened a Haunted House.

The proprietor was too kind. Chen Ge did not treat them as competition from the beginning. The reason he said so much was because he was laying the foundation to swallow Tian Teng Medical School whole in the future to add to his terror-themed amusement park. 

"Boss." The security guard tapped the proprietor on his shoulder. 

"I'm fine, let's be ready to get back to work!" 

"Erm…" The security lowered his voice. "He seems to have taken our Haunted House's tape recorder with him." 

"What? When did that happen?"

When Chen Ge left the building and got on the bus, he realized that he was still carrying the tape recorder. I was too focused on making the speech that I didn't realize I was still holding their tape recorder. Oh well, I'll return this when they come over to visit my Haunted House. 

Chen Ge returned to New Century Park. The moment he removed the sign from the door, the visitors started to swarm toward him. In less than a few weeks, the reputation and visitor number of his Haunted House had dramatically increased. 

"We'll be open in the afternoon. Don't worry, we've designed a new scary scenario! Definitely will give you the scare of your life!" Chen Ge called Xu Wan before entering the Haunted House. He thought back to the tricks that he experienced at Tian Teng Medical School and tried to apply them in his own Haunted House. 

"The update rate for my Haunted House is very fast, and it is still growing. When the hidden missions for the Third Sick Hall are completed, I'll need to rearrange the scary scenes to add some scary items and mix in the real ghosts with fake ghosts. That will be more interesting." 

Visiting Tian Teng Medical School had given him plenty of inspiration. He wrote all his thought down in a notebook so that he would not forget them. 

At noon, Chen Ge took out the information provided by the police and memorized the information of all the escaped patients. The information could prove useful at any moment. After a simple lunch, the doors to his Haunted House was open for business. Before completing the hidden missions, Chen Ge did not plan to open the Third Sick Hall for the public. That was not such a big problem because most of the visitors had not digested the earlier scenarios yet. 

He kept himself busy until 6 pm. After sending the visitors away, Uncle Xu, who stood at the door selling tickets, flashed him a rare smile. Chen Ge's Haunted House was driving the popularity of the entire theme park upwards, and the management was trying their best to cooperate with the Haunted House. 

"Nice work today." 

Chen Ge waited until Uncle Xu and Xu Wan left before he returned to the staff breakroom. He put the tape and the cleaver wrapped in red cloth inside his backpack and started to search for the white cat. 

He looked through the entire Haunted House and finally found the white cat on top of the tree at the entrance of the Haunted House. The white cat was very clever. It seemed to sense that a bad thing was about to happen, and it jumped up to the top of the tree. No matter how hard Chen Ge tried to persuade it, it refused to come down. 

"What are you so afraid of? The place I'm going is safer than the Third Sick Hall! Come down!"

wanna go and tap twice on the left side of your head. the portal will spawn and take you to where you wanted and even better. * or you can simply think/choose where to go and click to travel to your destination. to travel back say "i want to go back to my mr/wr" and the portal will automatically safely take you there. * you can also simply click to travel back on the lifa app. this feature includes a menu of portals and world within them. eg. you have a portal door in your wr, lifa will automatically detect it, and you can add as many worlds/realities/places you desire. by clicking which portal, it will show the list of places.

Carlos didn't deny it. "Yeah. Sheffield decided not to tell you because he didn't want you to worry. Don't blame him."    

Evelyn's heart broke at his words. Sheffield had done so much for her. "I know. He loves me and doesn't want me to be unhappy."    

Then she sent the call audio to Sheffield, along with a text: "Save the evidence. I need a backup in case my computer gets hacked."    

As soon as he saw the message, Sheffield called her back. "You know, don't you?"    

"Yeah."

"How? Where are you now?" His tone was full of anxiety.    

Evelyn comforted him, "Don't worry. I'm home. He just called me to ask for money."    

When he heard that it was just a phone call, Sheffield breathed a sigh of relief.  

"I need you to take more bodyguards with you when you go somewhere. I don't want to chance anything happening to you. Don't leave the manor unless you have to." He was worried Napier would hurt Evelyn.    

"Okay, I love you. You be careful, too!"

"Don't worry about me. Dad and Uncle Wesley have their men covertly following me. They won't let anything happen,"  Sheffield assured her. Carlos had gotten Wesley involved when he decided to lure Napier out.    

"That's good."    

Moans filled a basement somewhere in the city. The moans emanated from two people—a man and a woman. This went on for twenty minutes, and then the room was still.    

Gillian had a charming smile on her face. While straightening her clothes, she asked, "What did Evelyn say?"

Napier had cleaned up nicely. He'd recovered enough of his senses to groom himself and start wearing clean clothes again. He glanced at the woman in contempt. "She agreed to my terms."    

He had plans. Big plans. First, he thought about abducting Evelyn. But he abandoned that. Then he thought he might kidnap someone from the Tang family. But that too was discarded.    

Then he found Gillian. She and Sheffield had known each other forever. And she despised Evelyn. So he decided to kidnap her and hold her hostage. He would bargain with Sheffield for her release.

Napier didn't expect Gillian to be such a whore. She fought bravely at first. Yes, at first. But a few beatings broke her. He wasn't sure what he expected, but she gave in surprisingly easily. Not only did she allow him to do anything he wanted, but even offered to help him.    

Pretending not to see the contempt in his eyes, Gillian asked expectantly, "Take me with you?" She grew quite fond of this man! Day by day, she fell a little more in love. He was so masculine, determined. She liked him so much!

"That depends! Can you keep up with me? That's the only way it'll work." Napier didn't want to take her with him at all. To him, she was just a way to satisfy his lust. Other than that, he had no use for her.

"Drive this woman out!"

"Throw this woman into the sea!"


When he doesn't know Debbie Nian's true identify, Carlos Huo cold-shoulders her. 

"Mr Huo, she is your wife." Carlos secretary reminded him. Hearing that, Carlos gives him a cold stare and complained, "why didn't you tell me earlier?"

This was my evaluation as a filmmaker? I expected something better...There was one thing I wasn't familiar about in that list though: Production Design. I think I may have missed some classes in film school. I clicked on it to see its description. 

Production Design: Designing the overall look of the film. This includes set design, props, costume design, makeup, etcetera. 

Ah, I see. I don't really specialize in that area. In fact, I don't specialize in a lot of the things mentioned in the status. For cinematography, I have my Director of Photography. For Editing, I have my team of editors. A director does not really need to be good at everything. But I guess now that I am alone in this world, I'll have to get better at those things as well. 

I went back to the main menu and tried pressing filmography this time.

So this is a list of every film I've done. But I was sure I made more films than this...but those were short films I made in film school. I guess the app only takes into account full-feature films rather than short films. However, I didn't expect "Why?" to be my best film yet. I did put my heart and soul into that project but that was the film that tanked the hardest financially.  And yikes...my first film received quite a harsh evaluation. That film was made in the period of my life when I was too arrogant and thought I could become a master director from the get-go. 

I noticed that other than evaluation, there's also something called 'heart points'. What is that? I also noticed that I had a total of 1000 of them, presumably from my previous films.  Right as I was thinking about that, my phone received a message notification again.

I tried pressing the camera options. There were a lot of options for filming camera available at different prices depending on their quality. Curious, I sorted the price to the most expensive first.

Holy shit! But I guess that's a given. Even on earth, you can't buy an Imax camera as there were only a few of them available worldwide. You'll have to rent them. And even then, if you're not some bigtime studios, they wouldn't let you rent one. And even if you got one in your hand, you'll have to also purchase specialized audio equipment, projectors, and the silver screen itself to play an Imax film. But the notion that I could own my personal Imax camera is certainly VERY enticing. The RED camera I'm working with right now already has quite a great quality though so I'm content with it for now.

Suddenly, all of the previous messages were deleted instantly from my phone. I guess this is it...

The world outside of my van has already turned dark. The streets were empty but some lights can be seen from inside some of the buildings. The dragon skull looked even more ominous under the night sky. I pulled the recliner of my seat so I can lay down. My mind started to wander off into the distance....what kind of film should I make?

An aspiring indie filmmaker was suddenly transported to a fantasy world while shooting a scene in a remote tropical jungle. Having no fighting experience or any other experience, he was only left with his film-directing skills and the shooting equipment that was also transported along with him. 

He finally decided to be the first film director of this strange new world. He will introduce the craft of filmmaking to that world and move the hearts of its inhabitants with his films.
