[Johan's POV]
"How many have we caught?" Raymond asked. Saltwater dribbled down his sun-kissed skin as he dropped to his side on the sand, counting the fish they caught on the plastic bucket.
"I think we've had enough, Ray. We can't eat these."
"It's fine. We can just take home the leftovers."
"You realize we have a fishpond, right? I'm sick of eating seafoods already," Johan said with a groan.
"Yet, you're here catching fishes with me."
Johan pulled his knees to his chest with a grumble, cheeks flustered at the implied tone. Almost two months had passed since he confessed. Despite the distinct line between their friendship and his romantic feelings for Raymond, Johan was satisfied with the way things were.
He could say they grew closer now that he's free to express his feelings around his best friend. They would bond and hang out like they used to. Just like today, they were at the secluded part of the beach near the estuary, setting up a campfire for the night to come.
"Come on, Yohei! Let's catch some more," Raymond said, shaking his shoulder.
"Ugh! Fine. But only before sundown." Johan grabbed his bamboo-made fishing bow. While they could have just fished in his grandfather's pond, it's much more fun to go fishing in the open sea. It gave him a sense of primitive hunting, and his heart thrummed in excitement as he positioned the arrow.
People sometimes laughed at his eccentric ways of getting things done, but their judgement never hindered his creativity. Since he didn't know if his plan to runaway after high school would be successful, learning primeval tactics was the best way to increase his survival once he got enlisted in the military.
Just as the sun descended to the horizon, Johan spotted a fish with scattered silvery scale near making its way to the estuary, so he gestured for Raymond to avoid the area. Kneeled on the still warm sand, he pulled the bowstring and aimed. The bow gave a satisfying twang when he released it.
Raymond dropped his spear gun and dove into the water to retrieve the arrow, raising it in the air with the fish flapping wildly, an astounded grin on his face. "Yohei! It's a barramundi! This is a rare catch!"
"Is it?" Johan jogged to the riverbank and took the still struggling fish. It's an Asian sea bass, like Raymond claimed. He recognized it from the Biology book he always read. "This should be enough for the two of us."
"You're not going to take it home? It's big."
"Why would I? I'd rather share it with you."
Raymond sent him an appreciative smile. "Alright, then. I'll go gather some firewood while you clean the fish."
"I'd rather you clean the fish. I don't like the smell," Johan said with a grimace.
Raymond didn't complain as he climbed back from the river and grabbed the wooden spear gun he dropped on the sand. Side by side, they headed back to the abandoned tropical beach hut where they left their things. According to Raymond, it was owned by a relative until they moved away because of a storm surge.
Estuaries — the place where the rivers met the sea — were a perfect place to go fishing because it housed a variety of sea creatures. It's called the nurseries of the sea for a reason. The downside of living near the estuary, however, was the vulnerability against the tropical storms.
It's surprising that the beach hut still kept the roof made of palm leaves. The woven bamboo walls already lost some of its part though, so it would unnerve him to sleep there at night. Johan shuddered at the thought of someone peeping at him while he slept.
After Johan gathered firewoods at the nearby collapsed hill, he went back to the beach hut, only to pass by a scene he shouldn't have witnessed. He almost dropped the firewoods when he ducked to the tall bushes, slapping a hand to his mouth to prevent the startled noise from coming out.
From under the Manila tamarind tree stood Russell with his back resting on the trunk, his shorts pulled down to his hips. Kneeled in front of him was a girl Johan couldn't recognize with her hair scattered around her face, head bobbing up and down.
Since the day he spotted a kiss mark on Russell's chest, he had speculated that the older boy had been engaging in an adult-only activity. Despite the lascivious act, Johan found it hard to tear his gaze away, particularly at Russell's groin area where a thick veiny root pulsed at the stimulation it was getting.
Heart pounding in his chest with undistinguishable feeling, Johan counted one to ten before he gripped the bundle firewood and crept away as silently as he could. He took his time to calm down, not wanting Raymond to catch him having an unintentional hard-on in his shorts. Johan wanted to plunge back to the water until he shook off the image.
'What the hell?!'
Dusk had fallen when Johan dragged his feet back to the beach hut. His erection had gone down enough for him to hide it under his damp underwear. He let go of the dried twigs he gathered, catching Raymond's attention at the riverbank.
"Nice timing! I've just finished cleaning the fishes," Raymond said as he ambled towards him with the plastic bucket in hand, shirtless and still soggy. The way his toned body shriveled in every step stirred Johan's dying arousal that he had to look away. Raymond frowned, noticing his discomfort. "You okay, Johan?"
He nodded, still a bit flustered at what he witnessed. The use of his name instead of the habitual nickname added to the flame in his gut. Raymond would switch to his actual name in serious situations. Johan kneeled down on the sand and busied himself with the firewoods, ignoring the worried tone. "Can you hand me my bag, Ray? And the gas lamp too."
"Sure. Wait a sec."
Johan's eyes lingered at Raymond's back while the other grabbed his outdoor bag hooked to a rusty nail on a wooden post. He averted his gaze when Raymond swiveled to hand the bag over, and Johan tried his best not to trail below his best friend's navel.
"You brought something to season these, right?"
"Y-Yeah. I did. Brought some ice tea too." Johan took out a bottle of a strawberry-flavored ice tea and handed Raymond a lemon-flavored one.
Accepting the still half-frozen bottle Johan had wrapped in a plastic and towel inside his bag, Raymond sniggered. "Boy scout, as always. Remember our district camping in elementary? You brought a huge travelling luggage to school. That was hilarious."
"Boy Scout's motto is 'Always Prepared.' I'm just living to the expectation as the Patrol Leader."
"Right."
"Let's start. It's already dark." Johan threw a lighter at Raymond, then pulled a plastic bag. While Raymond started the fire, he seasoned the fishes with salt, pepper and MSG to distract himself from any inappropriate thoughts.
"What would you do in the barramundi?" Raymond asked.
With the Asian sea bass, however, he prepared it differently. Johan wrapped it in an aluminum foil together with some spices, chopped tomatoes, and butter. He also included the few clams they found in the sand and drizzled it with calamansi juice. Once done, he handed it over to Raymond so he can put them all in the fire.
"This is better with rice."
"I brought rice. It's in a lunch box inside my bag."
"Your bag is like Dora's backpack. It has everything you need." Raymond chuckled as he leaned back on the sand, legs parted a little.
"Fuck you. I'm not Dora."
You have the same hair color too."
Johan hurled a red onion at Raymond for his comment, and it went straight to the leg opening of his basketball shorts. His cheeks blossomed into a deep carmine at the unintentional glimpse of what's hidden under the fabric.
Raymond gave him an accusing stare jokingly as he pulled the onion out of his shorts. "Sly ways, huh?"
"I-I didn't do that on purpose!"
"Hmm... sure? There's just the two of us here."
"I'm not that kind of person, okay?!" Johan stood abruptly and walked out of the beach hut. He'd needed to stop the intrusive mental images of what might happen. They were doing great at keeping their friendship intact. He won't risk losing Raymond's respect for some earthly desires.
"Hey," Raymond called, walking up to him. "Johan, it was just a joke, alright? I know you're not that kind of person. How else would I be comfortable to be around you despite knowing you have feelings for me if I know you're only after... that?"
Johan didn't answer right away, realizing his intention may not be as pure as he thought. A hand to the small of his back set an excite fire to his skin.
"Johan? Yohei? Are you mad?"
He shook his head and smiled, stepping away from Raymond's touch. "N-No, I'm not mad. It's just… I'm just going to take a dip. Watch over the food, Ray."
The wet dream he had before involving him and Raymond in a sensual act resurfaced in his memory, and he wanted to blame Russell for igniting the flame of desire within him.

Stella's pov

I wake up to the sun shining from my window to my face. I grab my phone to check the time. 9:00am. 
I got up and got dressed for breakfast. I think I'll go to the beach right after breakfast so I need to pick an outfit which I can wear a bikini under. 
I decide on a baby blue see through top and a teel bikini under it, with short shorts to go with it and some lipgloss. Simple, that's how I roll. 

"Morning!" I say cheerfully to my parents.
"Morning dear" my mom says with a smile, someone's having a great day.
"Mom after this I'm going to the beach, will you both be coming or no?" I ask while eating toast.
"Dad and I are going to a wine tasting so you can go to the beach"
"Ok" 

I quickly finish my breakfast and start walking down to he beach,. it's only about two minutes away. I look in my bag for my phone. 
"Ahha!" I say to absolutely no one. It's 10:15. So I have time before lunch. 

I look for a decent spot on the beach and lay my towel down and keep all my things except my bag there and go to change in the washroom. 

I look to find my spot and there! 
I run to my spot and lay down to sunbathe. 

"Stella?" I heard a familiar yorkshire accent say. I take off my sunglasses to look.
"LOUIS?" I say in shock. 
"Oh my god Stella! I've missed you!" 
I take him into a hug
"I missed you so much Lou! You won't believe how many times I've tried to look for tickets to your show! In Arazona and here! Urgh!" 
"How are you here?" I ask pulling away from the hug I missed for years.
"Well the boys and I are on tour so today we have a few days off so we're at the beach." 
"Oh makes sence. Do I get to meet them?" 
"Ofcourse! Like Duh!" I missed this. 
"Follow me" the boy with blue eyes says. I pick up all my stuff and follow him and I see all of One Direction there making sandcastles, how random. 

Louie's pov

I took Stella to where the boys were sitting. I'm so fóóking happy to see Stella. Oh all the things I wanted from this tour. 

"Boys this is Stella! My old best friend from Doncaster" 
"Hi!" All of them say together looking up at us. 
"Hi guys! Zayn, Liam, Niall and Harry." Stella guessed. All correct. 

All of the boys stood up from their sandcastles and hugged Stella but oh dear sweet Harry winked. HARRY WINKED AT MY BEST FRIEND! 
"HEY HEY HEY HARRY! SHE'S MY BEST FRIEND!!!" 
"Ok calm down" the boy with green eyes said. 

Niall's pov

Ok so I'm not going to act, Stella is beautiful! She's gorgeous. She has blue eyes, curly hair. She doesn't even have any make-up on she's just naturally beautiful! 
"Niall mate, stop dreaming!" I hear Zayn say.
"Oh yeah sorry."
"Let's continue making sandcastles!" Stella says. Oh god even her voice is beautiful! 

After an hour of making sandcastles we all wash our hands and exchange phone numbers with Stella. I'm surprised that even Stella dosen't have Louie's phone number. But then again she might have not have had a phone when she was 14. 

Louis' pov

Stella and I decide to go for lunch to catch up but we have to tell her parents that are waiting for her at the hotel restaurant. 

"Hello Miss Smith!" Stella's parents faces are in shock to see me. 
"Hello Louis! How are you?"
"I'm good! How are you?"
"I'm great! Thankyou!" 
"Hi mom! I'm here! If you haven't noticed." Stella spoke
"Anything to tell me?"her mom says.
"Yes, Can Louis and I go for lunch together?"
"Sure but be back soon, we're going somewhere in the evening." Her mom says
"Ok! Bye!" Stella said. And we left.

Stella and I spoke for hours. Turns out she does not have a new bestfriend but she has many friends.

I walk Stella to her hotel and leave. We plan on meeting each other maybe tomorrow. Surprisingly the tour has gone on a break for like the whole month because Paul had some family emergency, it was kinda sudden and shocking. So we're going to be living in a hotel here for a month, the hotel is surprisingly right across Stella's hotel. It only makes this better because I will have time with Stella. 

Niall's pov

I'm going to ask Louie if I can ask Stella out. I mean I like her and she's single and she may or may not like me too. I'm taking my chonces. 
"Hey Lou?" I ask
"Yeah mate, what's up?"
"Can I ask Stella out?" Louie's eyes widen at the question I asked.
"Yea I mean she's my best friend and I can't tell her who to date and who to not. So yeah" Louis says kind of unsure. 
"Thanks lad" I say and go to my hotel room which I share with Liam and Harry. 

Louis'es pov

So Niall wants to ask Stella out. I can't do anything about it, I mean Niall's waited so long to find his princess and if Stella is his princess I can't stop him from doing that. And Stella has waited for her prince for so long so in not holding them back.

Adam was still in deep slumber, the lower half of his right hand noticeably disappeared inside  the opening of a small bag.

Caden frowned, what's inside in that black bag? He noticed that bag numerous times, actually every night he had seen Adam sleeping with that bag.

Out of curiosity...Caden took a peek at what's inside the small bag. He saw some girl's tank top, shorts, and lacy underwear.

He shook his head in amazement. The garments owner must be Adam's girlfriend, he thought to himself.

Caden grinned from ear to ear.

Head shaking, he walked towards the bathroom, once inside, he splashed cold water on his face. 

When Adam told him that he was relocating into the city and asked him if he was willing to go with him, he did not hesitate to go with Adam. They became closer and Adam was the epitome of a brother, best friend, and the family that he never had. Of course, he would follow him anywhere.

Looks like Adam was the catalyst that can turn his life around for good.

They finally arrived in the capital city and it was a huge jungle of a place.

Last night they were unpacking things inside in one of the condo unit on a high rise condominium building complex located somewhere in the southern part of the city.

When they arrived in the condo together with Aunt Ruby, Adam's guardian, the room was semi furnished, appliances and several pieces of furniture were still on their coverings scattered everywhere. All the appliances look like they were just recently delivered and need to be unpacked.

When Aunt Ruby left them on their own to go home, they were already unpacking things and still not finished with everything. They fall asleep after watching movies on TV at 2:00 am.

The condo has two bedrooms, both have their own bathrooms, a living room area, dining and kitchenette area, and a balcony. The condo has a luxurious feel and it has a sleek contemporary interior design that was pleasing to the eye.

The Sapphire Blue Sky Tower is a condo type residential complex that supports urban living and was designed as a resort style community, it boosted a huge swimming pool, an artificial man-made beach, adorned with coconut trees and other luscious green ornamental plants that added a dramatic effect to the tropical feel of the beach with real white sand to enhance the cool and refreshing ocean setting. It was specially designed that way to cater to the enjoyment and pleasure of its high stemmed residents.

The beach splendid beauty can be seen above the balcony.

Caden's eyes widen in astonishment at the sight of the bluish man-made beach below the balcony...

He has never been into a beautiful and spacious looking place like this. He grew up in the streets where homeless people were the normal sight to see every day, sleeping on dirty pavements, rummaging foods in the garbage can. That was his normal life.

A long time ago he was one of them until he crossed path with Adam.

And now everything changes...in just a blink of an eye!

Here everything in this tower represents money, power, and ease of living. It's something that only happens in his dreams, but he is now standing at the balcony and gazing wide eye at the sparkling and inviting water below.

This is real!

He is not dreaming. No matter how many times he closed his eyes, every time he opened it, it's the same beautiful, clean and spacious looking community that greeted his vision.

He hit jackpot with Adam!

As a sign of gratitude, he will be willing to do Adam's bidding, do his laundry, clean their rooms, clean the bathroom, sweep the living room, cook food for him every single day and do everything for him.

His grin deepened to matched his happiness.

The balcony has a transparent waist length glass wall. It also has a small wooden round shape table surrounded by two rattan dark chairs. The wind was blowing gently from the west side sweeping Caden's unruly hair.

He sat down on the chair and continues admiring the scenery below the balcony. He surveyed the city landscapes of nearby buildings and high rise establishment.

Fantastic sight!

He won't get tired watching it every day and every night.

Adam watched his friend Caden sitting comfortably in the balcony. Amusement playing in his eyes.

He was leaning on the kitchen's marble countertop.

He was waiting for the electric pot to boil the water. He took two cups from the cupboard, two spoons and washed it in the sink. He tears open the 3 in1 coffee sachet and poured the content into the cups. When the water was already boiled he poured it into the cups, stirred with the spoon and brought them to the balcony.

"Bro, do you like our new home?" asked Adam.

Caden's smile was heartbreaking, like that of a child who had seen the paradise for the first time.  

"Like? No. I super duper love this place! It's amazing! his eyes glowed with excitement and happiness.

Caden grinned. "Can't believe we're gonna live in this paradise every fu*king day!" he added enthusiastically.

"Yes, we will be living here for a while and you will get soon used to the surroundings," he said in a calm and relaxed way.

"Thank you, Adam for bringing me here with you. You're the best thing that ever happens to me. Man, you're a blessing from God!" Caden bowed to Adam.

Then he both pressed his palms in a prayer sign and looked up at the sky above.

"Thank you, dear God, for giving Adam to me. Now I know that you have not forgotten me," he blew up a kiss in the heavens above for the sudden change of his destiny.

Adam just smiled at his friend's non stop chattering. He enjoyed watching his glowing face. Seeing him this happy, Adam felt happy as well. Caden's eyes glow with wonderment it never fails to amaze him.

"Stop talking now and sip your coffee before it gets cold!" he chastised him.

Caden obeyed Adam's order and drink his coffee like a king.

"Later we will hit the Gym and Fitness Center and the swimming pool," Adam said smiling.

"Wow, we will build some muscle, biceps, and six-pack and then go swimming, I love that! Let's go!" Caden's excited voice vibrated inside the balcony.

Adam grinned at his friend's enthusiastic reply.

"Later, in two hours time...but not now, we will have to eat breakfast first. Let's go and find some restaurants downstairs," he said.

"Okie Dokie!" replied Caden.

In the 20th century...

Looking out the window of the rented automobile, I can see the sparkling ocean as it reflected the blue sky and the sun above. Accompanying the soft hum of the car engine was the sound of the air conditioner pumping cool air into the interior of the automobile. It was a rather calming ambiance, one that would definitely lull me into sleep if not for the fact that I had just woken up from a quick slumber.

This trip to the beach has all members of the club plus Luna's boyfriend. That makes the total number of people going on this trip to be twelve as there is myself, Alvelyn, Muria, Irina, Erith, Luna, Mura, Emilia, Noah, Zaksus, Loyd, and Luna's boyfriend Zevin. Because there's so many people, two cars had to be rented, with one being the large van that seated eight people and the other being this SUV that seated four people. In this SUV, Emilia was the one that is driving, and seated in the front seat is Noah with Alvelyn and I in the back seats.

"You two finally awake?" Noah said as he looked back at us. "Finally I have someone to talk to?"

"You can't talk to Emilia?" I yawned and responded.

"She's not that exciting to talk with," Noah sighed. "Besides, she's way to oppressive in conversation topics."

"With the topics you want to talk about," Emilia commented, "it is only reasonable that I force you to cease it at once."

I looked at her face in the rear view mirror and saw that there was a light blush. From this, I guess that Noah probably inquired her about something that is...not family friendly or too overly personal. Therefore, I can understand why Emilia would shut the conversation down.

Once again, I gazed out the window and at the blue ocean. We are slowly approaching the small coastal city that the house we had rented out was located in. For this three hour journey, we had to leave the city and head south. However, upon seeing the ocean, I have a feeling that it will be worth it.

"How much longer until we're there?" I asked.

"About half an hour," Emilia responded. "Almost there."

"It's still gonna be a while," Noah whined.

"Won't you ever grow up?" Emilia sighed and shook her head.

Noah's probably simply searching for attention from Emilia. It's sort of obvious that is the case judging off of the almost childlike behavior he exhibited whenever he's around Ralus and Emilia. There's probably a side of Noah that I do not know about, a story that has its own beginning and end.

After half an hour of driving, our car pulled into the small coastal city. We drove towards the beach from here, and it didn't take long for us to find the home that we had rented out online for this summer retreat. It was a two story building with an ocean view. From the front entrance of the house, one can see the sandy coastline as it curved.

"This place is better than we expected," Luna exclaimed as we all disembarked the parked vehicles we rode in to arrive here.

"Let's grab our stuffs and bring them in," Mura said out loud, reengaging us back to the main task at hand.

I walked over to the trunk of the SUV that I rode in and waited for the trunk door to open automatically. Once the trunk door has lifted up completely, I reached in and grabbed the small sports bag that contained my change of clothes and towel. Next to my bag was Alvelyn's, so I grabbed that one as well.

"I'll carry it," I muttered to her when I turned around and saw her waiting.

She's the female me, so she is still me. Helping out myself really isn't that much of a hassle. In fact, I would help myself before I help anyone in this world. That's just how everything goes in life. We all act in our best interest and rarely would we sacrifice for other people. Besides, my bag and her bag didn't weigh much. All that was in there were three days worth of clothing to change into, swimwear, towels, and sunscreen.

With one bag strapped across a shoulder and the other across the other shoulder, I started walking towards the front entrance to the house. As I walked, I passed by the blonde boy that I am still unfamiliar with. He had just retrieved a small suitcase from the truck of the van in addition to a sports bag that seemed to belong to him that he strapped across his shoulder. If I've recalled correctly, his name is...Zevin Leis Leidender, Luna's boyfriend.

My first impression of Zevin was...one that leaned towards the positive side. He's rather normal, the type that one can find at almost every high school they go to. I feel like he would mix well with many people as he's just all in all a...pretty average person. Yet...it is just this normal part about him that made him quite abnormal. It's just...a vague feeling that I cannot decipher.

"I got it," Zevin muttered to Luna as he grabbed the suitcase.

"Thank you," Luna smiled faintly in response to his actions. With her two hands clasped before her and the way she looked at him, she appeared to be just like an ordinary girl. Perhaps the only thing abnormal about this couple are their appearances, with both possessing above average countenance. However, I would say that Zevin's is simply above average and Luna's being extraordinary.

Seeing their interactions for some reason made my mind feel rather heavy, almost as if there was a bitter taste in my mouth that is so faint that it may as well be nonexistent. Yet...it just does exist, and that bothered me somewhat.

"The boys will get the room on the first floor," Mura assigned the rooms. "The girls will have the room upstairs, and Emilia and I will take the smallest room upstairs as well."

With that being said, we all took our belongings to where our sleeping quarters were. Loyd, Zaksus, Noah, and I carried our stuff over to the opened door leading into our room on the ground floor while Zevin lagged behind. It would appear that he was saying a temporary goodbye to Luna, which I do not understand. You're literally downstairs from her.

The room assignments, I would say, is pretty fair. The largest of the three rooms were given to us boys with the second largest given to the five girls. The smallest room of all is then left for the two teachers. This was the best that could be done, but it does not mean that all is ideal, especially for us boys. Upon entering the room, my first thought was that...it's cramped with five boys in their late teens to be in. In addition, since people that would rent this house usually come in groups, instead of multiple beds, there was one single large bed that spanned the length of the room up against the wall. I can see that the design was for everyone to be sleeping on this single large bed, but...it doesn't look to be big enough.

"How will this work?" Noah asked as he stared at the large single bed.

"It'll be cramped," Loyd sighed and smiled weakly, "but I guess we'll have to make it work."

"Let's try it out?" Zaksus suggested.

Then, the five boys, me included, all tried laying down on the bed in a way that would offer us all the most space to sleep with. However, even then, it was rather uncomfortable and cramped.

"This won't work with five people," Noah sighed as we all got back up. "It ain't gonna work. Especially with Zaksus, why do you have to be so damn big?"

"I don't take up that much space!" Zaksus exclaimed.

Zaksus was right. As an athlete, his body is in the best shape out of all of us. His build was rather slim with muscle due to his low body fat percentage.

"It doesn't help that you're so damn tall," Noah rebutted. "Wide-ass shoulders, and shit. Besides, you're too damn muscular. It's like sleeping next to a rock."

"That ain't his fault," Loyd chuckled.

Next to me, Zevin seemed to also be laughing, possibly out of awkwardness. He's the only stranger in our group, so I can understand why he might not be feeling the most comfortable around us at the moment.

"Fine," I sighed and said. "I'll sleep on the couch in the living room."

"You sure about that?" Zevin asked. "I can sleep outside."

"It's fine," I rejected his offer.

In all honesty, I kinda like the idea of sleeping in the living room. There, through the sliding glass doors, I can see the ocean in its full glory. And with the doors slid open, I will be able to hear the waves crash against the beach and let nature sing me a lullaby to sleep.

"Hey," Zaksus spoke up with an excited expression on his face. "I saw a basketball court outside by the beach. Wanna go play real quick? There's a ball here."

"Did you come to the beach just to play ball?" Noah looked at him with a look of bland surprise.

"Come on," Zaksus insisted. "It'll be fun. We're playing by the ocean!"

"Then the wind will just mess with the shot," Noah bantered back. "Besides, not all of us are top high school recruits like you."

"You're a recruit?" Zevin looked over at Zaksus in surprise.

"Don't be surprised," Loyd said. "But you're looking at one of the top high school prospects in the country."

"Professional teams even wanted him to come work out with them," I added in.

"Come on," Zaksus insisted once again. "Let's go play for a bit."

I'm just me. An ordinary high school boy with no girlfriend, not too many friends, and no talent.  What I enjoy doing after school is roaming around the halls, hoping that like in the cliche anime and manga, I'll bump into someone that'll change my life. Of course, nothing is going to happen. What do you expect? 

But, this APP on my phone is kind of weird. I don't remember installing it. If I click on it, it asks me to complete missions. But how the hell am I supposed to do these embarrassing tasks?


Update Schedule:
I will post new chapters usually once a day, but that is subjected to change depending on my schedule as I am a student in my final year of high school. During breaks, I will usually post multiple chapters per day.

Today is Wednesday, the day we're all going to the beach. Jin had already rented out the house we were going to stay at. We have to leave early since the beach is about two hours away, which is why I got up at 7am to get everything ready. It's 9:15am now. 

I had packed some pastries I had baked to take on the trip. Since Jin owns his own restaurant, he made some food for us to take and we're going to bring meat to grill while we're at the beach.

After I finished packing extra clothes and grabbing my essentials, I grabbed my bag and headed to the kitchen to finish putting them in containers. I grabbed my bag, slinging it over my shoulder then grab the containers. 

After looking for my mom and dad, I let them know I'm leaving then head towards the door then to my car. Carefully setting the pastries in the passenger seat then I chuck my bag in the back seat. 

I started the car then put my seatbelt on. Before I headed out I sent a quick text to Joon. 

To: Joonie
Ayeoo, I'm on my way. 

From: Joonie
Okay, we're about ready. 

Then I made my way to their house. After 10 minutes I made it to their house and I parked in the driveway. 

Jin and Yoongi we're outside putting stuff in the car. I walked up to them "you guys ready?" I ask as I hug them. 

"Yup, just putting the last couple of things in the car." Jin replied and I nodded. 

"So, were going to take two cars so we're not all crammed in one car." Yoongi says then shuts the trunk. 

Just as he says that the rest of the guys come out, some of them carrying bags. "Are we taking my car or do you want to use one of the other cars?" I ask 

"Hey Jaehee." Jungkook says walking up to me and I give him a hug 

"What's up kookie." I smile then look towards yoongi waiting for his reply 

"Uhh... I guess we can take yours since it's already out." I nod my head and walk up to my car opening the trunk 

"Kookie, you can put your bag in here, anyone else want to put their bag in here?" I walk towards their car "we can put some of these bags in my car so there is room in your car, Yoongi." 

He nods his head and opened the trunk and grabs two bags and follows me to my car. I have a Nissan, Black Pathfinder. So there will be enough room. 

I greet everyone else while Jimin and Taehyung put their bags in my car. "Okay, let's head out." I say excited. 

Jin, Joonie, Yoongi and Hobi got in one car while Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook join me in my car. As I was heading to the driver side Jimin pushes me out of the way and hops in. "Hey!" I slightly stumble as Jimin pushed me "What are you doing?" 

He sends me a grin "what does it look like, I'm driving." 

Annoyed, I pursing my lips and send him a glare "But it's my car." 

"Too bad." Is all he says then shuts the door. I huff in annoyance and walk over to the passenger side but Taehyung beat me to it and pushed me out the way, just like Jimin did earlier 

"What the hell, Tae." I grumble and he sends me a boxed smile. 

"I called shotgun." He replies "Plus, Jiminie is my best friend, it's only fair I sit next to him." 

I let out a tsk and walk to the back door "Anyone else want to push me out the way before I get in?" I ask sarcastically 

I see jungkook smirking mischievously, he was getting ready to come running at me but I sent him a glare "don't even think about it." He pouted then laughed, walking towards me. 

"My lady." He says opening the door and extends an arm for me to enter. 

I playfully roll my eyes "Thank you." I step into the car and speak loud enough so Taehyung and Jimin could hear "At least he's a gentleman." 

"Yeah, yeah..." Jimin mumbles. 

"Is everyone ready?" I hear Joon shout from his car. 

"Yup!" We all said simultaneously 

"Let's get it!" Jungkook shouts then we head off.

We arrived to the beach house around 11:40am. We settled our stuff in our own rooms. There were just enough rooms for all of us, this house is pretty huge and nice, really  spacious. 

There were five rooms upstairs and three rooms downstairs. I chose a room upstairs with the balcony. I literally had to fight with all the guys to get this room, it was worth it because I got a nice view. 

By 12:30 we were outside setting up the grill, well Jin and Hobi were, I was laying on a beach chair, relaxing. I wore my light pink bikini under my white sundress. 

Joon and Yoongi set up the picnic area and they laid out all the food Jin had made earlier, along with some of my pastries. 

Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook walked past me and I quickly sat up grabbing my beach bag and took out the sunblock. 

"Hey Tae!" I called out to him and they all stopped looking towards me "Can you put some on my back." I cheesed at him, knowing him he's going to complain "Pleaseee...." 

He whined "Why me." 

I grumbled "Because your my brother and your not doing anything." I stood up from the chair and held the bottle out.  

He stared at the bottle "Nahh..." then began to walk away. "C'mon..." I whined but he ignored me. 

I huffed "Fine, Jungkookieee..." I said dragging out his name. Just like I did to Tae, I cheesed at him "Pleassee..." 

He sighed and took the bottle leaving Jimin and Taehyung. I smiled triumphantly and chuckled to myself.  

I untied the back of my dress then slid it off. What I didn't know was that Jimin was watching my every move. 

I turned around and saw Jimin and jungkooks mouth agape then they quickly shut it when they realized they were caught. 

I sat on the chair so jungkook could get my back. He hesitated then walked behind me. I heard him squeeze the bottle then, stiffly might I add, rubbed it on my back. 

Jimin caught my eyes as I saw him staring at us, he was sending glares at us. He almost looked mad. Maybe I'm seeing things...

He walked up to Tae and said something then Tae turned towards me and his eyes widened and he quickly ran up to us, Jimin on his tail. 

"Wait.. woah woah.. what's going on! Where is your dress... jungkook why are-" I cut him off 

"Tae, chill. You didn't want to do it so I asked jungkook." I said shrugging my shoulders. 

Taehyung scoffed and pushed jungkook away "I'll do it, don't touch my sister." Ugh here comes his protective side. "You guys aren't dating anymore." 

We dated from middle school to freshman year in high school. We loved each other but just as friends, so we decided to stay as Best friends. 

"That's why I asked you earlier to do it you Pabo." I grumbled as he quickly rubbed the suncream on my back. 

"Chill, no need to be rough with it. I liked it better when jungkook did it." I said teasing Taehyung and he scoffed. 

"Done." He said walking away 

Jimin picked up a towel and threw it at my head.  "Cover up, people are staring." 

"Hey!" I pulled the towel off my head and looked around. "There isn't even people around." 

He glared at me then pointed far in the distance "over there." 

My mouth dropped "they can barely see me, they are so far away."

"Yeah well..." Jimin trailed off looking away, he almost looked flustered. 

A smirk formed on my lips, I set the towel on the side and picked up my water bottle. I took a sip and stood up. Slowly walking towards Jimin, I looked into his eyes as I got closer and I heard him gulp. 

"Why..." I stood on my tippy toes and whispered "You aren't jealous, are you?" 

Jimin shifted on his feet and scoffed. "No, why would I be." 

I pressed my lips in a thin line "Well it sure looked like it." 

He rolled his eyes looking away, I took that as my opportunity to dump my water on him, I jumped trying to reach his head but the water just splashed on the side of his face and onto his shoulder. 

Jimin moved back shocked and that was my cue to run away. I saw hobi in the distance and booked it towards him for protection but suddenly felt a pair of arms around my waist and I was off the floor. 

I screamed as Jimin lift me over his shoulder. I realized he wasn't wearing his sleeveless tank top anymore when my skin came in contact with his skin. 

Let me just say.... Holy Namjesus! His back muscles look delicious. 


I just wanna lic- Wait! What the hell am I thinking. I kicked my feet and smacked his back. I tried to see where he was going but he gripped onto my thighs and pushed me farther down. 

"Jimin! Put me down!" I screamed and kicked my legs 

Suddenly I felt a smack on my ass and I gasped "Someone's being naughty, you need to be punished.." 

Then the water came into view "Oh come on! Not again!" This time I clung onto him as tight as I could so when he tried throwing me in I pulled him in with me.

I adjusted the straps of my black striped bikini and grabbed my sunblock out of my beach bag that I borrowed from my mom. She had a whole closet with bags and she didn't like it when I borrowed one. But once in the blue moon, just once, she let me choose something out of her collection of bags.  I opened the sunblock and squeezed a little bit on my hand and applied it on my body.

 This was my third day in Brazil and so far I have been enjoying it.

I went shopping the same day I arrived and attended a party last night hosted by one of my mother's friends. My mom didn't mention that it would be an art party, so it was boring to say the least. Today I decided to go to the beach and get a beautiful golden brown tan before going back to New york, which will be at the end of next week.

I was so ready to go back to the busy city and get started on my boutique. Rose was currently also on vacation in Morocco. 

I put on my sunglasses and laid down on the beach chair. The chattering from the people around me and the cool breeze from the ocean gave me a tranquil feeling. Living in a busy city as New York made me crave for a relaxed environment quite often. Even though Brazil was not exactly a quiet and relaxed city, it was my home. 

And home is where the heart is.

Although that's what I thought until last night when I cried myself to sleep. The feeling of guilt suddenly took me over and I started to bawl my eyes out. I thought that I was slowly going insane. There was a missing piece in my heart and I knew exactly what that missing piece was. It was the sound of the piano, the warmth of his body, and the love that he fed me. 

"Hey."

I opened my eyes to see who stood between me and the sun. I immediately gasped as I saw it was none other than Hayden. What the hell was he doing here? He was standing next to my beach chair, his hair all wet and his toned skin glistening in the sun. He wore his orange shorts so low, that I could see his v-line.

"Like what you see?" He asked smirking, raising his eyebrows up at me. 

Pursing my lips I slowly sat up straight. "Definitely...not." I answered, giving him a final once over. "I have seen better." I added, my mind wandering off to Ethan. For his body I would definitely drop my panties.

I didn't miss how Hayden's face fell. He quickly recovered, because he sat down on the beach chair next to mine. "How's your vacation so far?" he asked, his eyes continuously wandering from my boobs to my thighs.

I shrugged as I crossed my legs and placed a towel over my exposed legs and breasts since Hayden couldn't keep his eyes off my body. "Great, I miss home though."

"But you are home." He said, frowning his eyebrows at me as he, finally, looked at my face. 

"Yes...well no, not exactly. I have found a new home." I answered absent-mindedly. 

"It's Ethan, isn't it. New york is your new home?" The disappointment was visible in his voice. "Why are pretty girls always attracted to the fuckboys?" He muttered under his breath quietly, but still loud enough for me to hear.

"What did you just say?" I narrowed my eyes at him even though he could not see them due the big sunglasses I was wearing.

"You've heard exactly what I said. Have you even seen what's on the news the past few days?" he asked, fishing his phone out of his pocket.

"Do you mean the gossips? Then no, other than that I'm well aware of what is happening around the world." 

"Yes, I meant the gossips. Because it was or it is still very interesting you know." His lips curled into a half smile as he switched on his phone and furiously started scrolling down.

"How so? Gossips are just a bunch of made up things."

He chuckled, but didn't look up from his phone. "I wouldn't be so sure about that, because your loverboy is having quiet a good time without your presence there while you're over here sulking."

"Please don't feed me your bullshit. I'm trying to make the best out of this vacation." I was about to lay down again when he pushed his phone into my hands.

"Bullshit? Really? Why don't you look at this and tell me if I'm still feeding you lies?" 

I looked at the picture on his phone and my heart immediately clenched. Tears were brimming behind my eyes, but I tried to not burst out in front of Hayden. I would not give him that satisfaction to watch me break down so he could comfort me. 

The picture on his phone was from none other than Ethan with a beautiful girl in a sushi restaurant. She held his hand and was smiling at him like he was her whole world. There was another picture where they went to church and there was a last one where he hugged her and placed a kiss on her forehead before she walked into the four seasons hotel.

To watch all this from afar was painful. I should have been her. It should have been me in the pictures, holding his hand and going with him to church. 

Part of me was screaming screw him. But the other part of me was screaming fight for what you love. 

I couldn't let this happen. Oh hell no! I made a stupid mistake of letting him go and I really really need him back. He is my home, without him I would just be someone with a missing piece in her heart. 

I threw the phone back to Hayden and immediately started packing my stuff. I threw on my pink beach dress and zipped my beach bag close.

"Where are you going?" Hayden asked worriedly.

"Back to New York." I told him as I put my hair in a ponytail. I picked up my bag and stuffed my sunglasses in it.

"What?" His eyes widened in surprise. 

I threw a glance at the helpless Hayden behind me. He thought that after seeing the pictures I would run to him. Boo-hoo, his plan backfired. 

"I'm pretty sure you heard what I said. Now if you will excuse me, I have a plane to catch."

Darrelle's POV
I got out of the car moving to open her door. We we're currently parked at the entrance of the beach in a car that Nia rented for the entirety of our stay in Jamaica. Her family rode by themselves because they had to pick up a few people on the drive over.
"I'm going to get the bag from the back." I told her closing the door as I helped her to stand. I moved to trunk pulling it open grabbing the bag before closing it, moving to meet her at the front.
My hand moved around her waist as we made our way towards the beach, the sun shinning brightly, the heat on our skin. 
"I'm going to get us something to drink." She said and I nodded watching as she walked off. After a couple seconds I stopped placing the bag on the beach chair, pulling off my shirt placing it inside of the bag.
I relocated the bag on the floor beside my chair laying down waiting on Nia to get back. I watched the families on beach with their kids playing in the sand and I couldn't help but imagine Nia and I in the same place, with kids of our own. 
I felt a hand in my shoulder and I looked over to see Nia smiling.
"Should be worried about you being a child predator or something?" She asked amused putting our drinks on the table beside us before taking off her shorts.
"What?" I asked chuckling as she placed the shorts in the bag moving to sit in between my legs.
"You were staring at those kids real hard D." She replied laughing, leaning back against my chest. I smiled kissing her forehead.
"D." She called out and I hummed titling my head to look at her.
"What does the tattoo on your back mean?" She asked as my hands moved around her waist, laying in her lap.
"The names are the people close to me I lost, the crown above the names represents the value they held in my life and the wings symbolizes prayers for peace and happiness." I replied 
"When did you get it?"
"I started it when I was 17 and lost my best friend in a drive by and the names gradually increased as life went on." 
"I'm sorry about that."
"You don't have to be sorry baby, everything happens for a reason."
"Do you truly believe that?"
"Well I have to, because if I didn't I will be much harder, knowing that we go through pain everyday just because, do you believe in it?" 
"I don't believe in much." She mumbled closing her eyes.
"Do you believe in love at first sight?" I asked and she laughed placing her hands on top of mine.
"No."
"Wow, like that." I replied chuckling and she smiled.
"So you loved me at first sight?" She asked and chuckled.
"This is not about me." I responded amused. 
"What?" She asked laughing.
"It's your question." I replied chuckling and she sighed smiling.
"It doesn't matter because I love you now."
"Smooth." I told her smiling and she laughed slightly, I kissed her forehead reaching for my drink.
"What's in this?" I asked bringing my other hand up, using it to grab the straw stirring the liquid.
"Taste it." She whispered and I took a sip, loving the burning sensation it left on the way down.
"Okay this is some good shit." I commented and she laughed reaching for hers as I took another sip, the fruity taste meeting my taste buds. I heard Nia's grandmother call out our names and I followed it to see her walking towards us,along with Ashely, Nathan, a woman her age and three people our age.
"Grandma." She shouted back amused, I chuckled watching as she placed her drink down getting up.
"Darrelle come on, we're getting in the water." Nathan said pulling off his shirt and I sat up sipping my drink.
"Nia you remember Ms Patsy." Grandma asked and Nia nodded greeting her as Ms Patsy pulled her into a hug.
"Patsy this is Darrelle My Grandson and Nia's boyfriend." Grandma introduced and I smiled at the title shaking Ms Patsy's hand.
"Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too Darrelle." She said as I pulled away taking another sip of my drink.
"And this is Ms Patsy's grandson Mikel and his friends Ashanti and Rushane." Grandma added and we greeted them as Nathan stood up.
"Ready." Nathan said and I nodded finishing my drink before moving off trailing behind him.
I laughed at Nathan's joke as we walked towards the group of people we came with.
"Darrelle?" I heard a familiar voice call out and I looked over to see Kanton.
"Hey man, what are you doing out here?" I asked smiling shaking his hand.
"Remember two years ago when you convinced me to expand my business?" He asked and I nodded.
"Well you're standing on it." He said and I chuckled. 
"That's good for you man, this is Nathan."
"Nice to meet you Nathan." Kanton said shaking his hand.
"What are doing out here?" He asked looking over to me.
"I'm here with my girlfriend and her family."
"Girlfriend?, She must be one special girl to get you to ke-"
"This is her cousin actually." I said cutting him off, silently telling him to choose his words wisely, he chuckled as someone called him.
"I'm looking to build some more properties out here, you still using the same number?"
"Yeah I am."
"I'm going to give you a call, you both enjoy yourselves." He said walking off and I nodded as Nathan and I moved towards them. I sat down in between Nia's legs resting leaning back against her as Nathan moved over to his sister.
"I got you another drink." she said handing it to me.
"You're going to get me drunk." I said and she smiled leaning down to my ear.
"That's exactly my plan." She whispered and I chuckled.
"To get me drunk?"
"Yes, then I'm going to bring you home and fuck you." She replied and I chuckled taking another sip.
"And who is going to drive?"
"Me."
"No I don't trust you to drive."
"Why not?" She asked her hands resting on my chest.
"You had one and we both know you're easily intoxicated." I replied and she laughed slightly kissing my head.
"Keep talking shit and I'll shave your head while you're sleeping." She whispered in my ear and I smiled handing her my drink she took it placing back to its resting place as I closed my eyes.
"I'm just concerned for both our safety." I replied and she slapped my chest slightly.
"Nia you still coming?" Ashely asked and I opened my eyes to see Nia motioning for me to sit up. I leaned for hesitantly allowing her to leave, watching as she made her way to the water before laying back down.

"She is the only one with a beer and look at how she continuously checks her phone every five second,"

"The beer isn't strong which means she is the designated driver her friends are drunk which means she has to leave soon, and the phone just shows that she would rather be anywhere but here, like she has much more important things to do. Which let's me know she probably won't give me the time of day because I'm not the most important thing in her life right now,"

"She is the one, she is the one you got to date"

I wrapped myself up in a blanket watching rom coms. I'd planned to stay in and eat junk food and allow myself some time alone. There was a rapid knock on the door I paused my movie and stood in front of the door. Elias was behind the door with a brown bag of food and he smiled. 

" You've been ignoring my calls and messages. I thought coming here to see you, you wouldn't be able to avoid me," He said. " Before you close the door, let's talk please." 

I moved out of the way allowing him in. He placed the bag of food on the counter and we stood inches apart. Neither of us said anything about what I said or anything that happened between us long time ago.

" I miss you, Ahliyah and I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything and I promise I won't do it again.  Come back, please." He begged.  

"  I miss you too, Elias. I can't come back though because the way you treated me wasn't right. Coming back would start everything over, even the way you treated me." 

Starting over and forgiving are the hardest things anyone could do. Elias was apart of the past I want to forget but couldn't.  I couldn't keep the relationship between us anymore because what we had broke long time ago. 

" I'm leaving Florida and I'm going somewhere far. I want you to come with me." He said. 

" I'm sorry I can't come with you. Thanks for bringing the food."  I grabbed the bag off the counter sitting back on the couch to finish my movie. 

" The shop is yours if you want it. I know the way I treated you was wrong, but I was hoping that you would come with me. James will come and help you out if you need him to. Take it as a farewell gift."  He shoved  his hands into his pockets and he waited for me to respond. 

" I didn't think we would've gone through all of this. Sometimes I think if I would've stayed could things have gotten better between us. I'm proud of you Elias, but I cannot come with you for now my life is here. I'm sorry." 

He smiled nodding his head and left. The hardest decisions weren't made based of the choices we didn't want they were based off the choices we did want. Leaving Florida and going back to the way things used to be would be fine, but I wouldn't be happy. 

I leaned back unpausing my movie trying to relax once again, but there was another knock on the door. I sighed hoping it wasn't Elias trying to ask me to come with him again. I opened the door and smiled. Carter stood there with flowers and a bag full of my favorite snacks. 

He walked in placing the bag and flowers on the counter and leaned against the wall. " Do you remember the first time I told you I loved you?" He asked. 

" It was the day before my mom got discharged, what's wrong?" 

He rubbed the back of his neck blushing. " We've been through a lot and I wanted to remind you how much i love you.  I read your journal and I think we should write letters to each other." 

" Letters? Why would we write letters to each other?" 

" To remind each other of the good things we still have. To remind us that we're still living and we have something to fight for." He said. 

I wrapped my arms around his neck, smiling. " That's sweet,Carter" 

We made dinner and we talked about how each letter we wrote to each other we would respond and where we would put the letters for the other to find. Each letter will be a reminder of why we were still here and show us there was light beneath the darkness. 

" Before we do the letters, can we please hang these pictures up?" I asked. 

He leaned back and laughed. We went through the bags hanging the pictures around the apartment finally making it home. 

Home for the both of us.

It felt good finally being able to call the apartment home. Carter was my home I felt comfortable to tell him things that I wasn't sure of myself and share things with him that only the two us knew.  

When we were finished, we stood back looking at our pictures of the memories we made with each other. Each one we couldn't tell that we were battling some sort of issue that we couldn't figure out. We looked happy. 

Carter put his hands on my waist pointing at our pictures. " Look at us, we look happy. I want us to always be that happy."

" It feels good to be that happy." I smiled.

 We did look happy in the pictures but happiness only lasted for so long.  " Well, we might not always be happy but we have these pictures to remind us of where we came from."

I walked toward the flowers placing them in some water, smiling at Carter for the thoughtful gift. " I'm still sorry for what I said. I allowed my fear to push you away and I'm sorry. You told me to stop apologizing but I still feel bad about it." 

" It's okay. Now, let's sit and eat some snacks." I grabbed his hand and unpaused my movie. I laid my head on his shoulder watching the movie. 


Carter and I ate breakfast on the beach watching the sunrise. It was beautiful watching the oranges and pinks blend in the sky. We finished our breakfast and I started to pack the car, but Carter was still standing on the beach looking up at the sun. 

I walked back to him wrapping my arm in his. " What's wrong?" 

" Lorenzo and I had an argument and I said some mean things to him, but he feels like I owe him something since he was there for me and knew what was going on. I don't know anymore I shouldn't have to fight with my best friend or make him see why I did the things I did."

" Maybe talk to him and see why he feels the way he does, or maybe you and him could start over. Let everything go and be the best friends you were before life took over." I told him.

I had a chance to start over with Elias but I let it go because there was no starting over for us.  Carter and Lorenzo have a chance and they could let everything go. Friends were important and sometimes they don't understand the choices we make. 

But, didn't everyone deserve a second chance.

" Do you think he would want to talk to me?" He asked.

" Give him a chance and listen to him." 

We stood on the beach for awhile longer. Before we went home we stopped at a ice cream shop and we sat on the sidewalk eating our ice cream watching other people as the walked in and out of the shop.  We went home and I pulled my journal out to write in it. I wrote my letter for Carter expressing my love and hope,

It felt nice to relive those days were we weren't worried about anything but what we were going to be tomorrow. 

It felt nice to finally be able to live without consequence.

When Ahliyah's mother gets sick, she's forced to move back to Florida to make something of her self.  Moving back causes more problems for her then she would like, bringing back memories she would like to forget.  

Carter wants to be able to feel at home. Even though he has an apartment and a friend who would do anything for him.  He shuts himself out from the world because of his PTSD, fearing someone is going to treat him like his step mother did.

When Ahliyah and Carter cross paths, they both learn the understanding of true friendship and love, while moving through their trauma together.
