"Sit down, I'm so sorry that you had witnessed what happened. Whispered Koji to Ashley who was still bewildered with what had happened, listened, and sat back down.
'My God! Is that how the Japanese act when they get angry? I hope Tanaga's not like that, I don't think I could handle seeing him beat-up another human being.' She thought as she silently sat down waiting for the meeting to commence.
A moment later, the Director of Marketing started speaking again. "As I was saying before I got slapped. Hahaha!" He jokingly said acting as if he was not affected by Ohani's actions.
The other upper management who was there joined the laugher at what the Marketing Director said.
"Hahaha! Hahaha! Hahaha!"
"Well, it looks like we need a new endorser for this product. What do you all think if I recommend the woman seating right next to COO Hanada?" The Marketing Director asks everyone present.
Ashley was in deep thought and didn't hear what the Marketing Director said. So she was surprised when Koji tapped her shoulder. "Miss Gusman, miss Gusman! The Marketing Director asking you if you can help us and be our spoke person for the new product. What do you say?"
"What?" Was all she could utter while looking bewildered. She couldn't believe that they are considering her to be the spoke person. Who are they kidding?" She mumbles, loud enough for Koji to hear.
"Why not? I think this product does suit you." Whispered Koji while patting her hand. 
All the Board members were also looking at Ashley anticipating her response. 
"Excuse me? Could you repeat what you just said?" Ashley asked as her eyes widened in panic.
"Me? You want me to endorse your product? Uh-uh," Ashley shook her head. "I'm sorry! But I'm not an artist or a model. See, I'm not that tall either. I'm sorry! But I must decline your nomination. I don't want to be the reason that your product won't sell." Ashley said seriously as she shook her head vigorously.
"Hahaha! Don't worry. It doesn't matter if you are not an artist or model. This product does not need this kind of endorser. Anyway, if you can at least think about it before you decline. As a matter of fact, It will be months before the launch of this product. Please!" Ask the Marketing Director with a kind smile.
"Can you promise to think about it at least? And the meantime will look at the other candidate. Just in case Miss Gusman doesn't accept our offer." Said the Marketing Director regretfully.
She only nodded and said nothing. She still couldn't believe they wanted her to be a product endorser for the company. She felt ashamed for Koji's sake and couldn't look at him straight.
Koji noticed that Ashley's face was red and that she couldn't look at him straight. Therefore, he decided that it's best to calm her down. He took Ashley's hand and began patting it like coaxing a child.
"Don't be shy, you should be proud that we are offering it to you because we can see that if you are to endorse this product. There are definitely a lot of people who will purchase it. Alright!" Koji gently explained it to Ashly to make her feel better. She only nodded as she slowly pulls her hand from his grasp. 
"I understand what your trying to say, sir Hanada. Alright, I promise that I'll think about it and I'll let you know before the end of this week. I just need to speak to one person. You do know who my real boss is?" Ashley reminded koji while her voice was loud enough for everyone to hear. 
"There! You all have heard Miss Gusman's answer. She needs to talk to CEO Jones first if he agrees. The truth is I am not her real boss so I don't have a say in the matter. So' If there is nothing else, we still have a lot of meetings to go to." Said Koji to everyone while he was obviously discouraged and disappointed by the tone of his speech.
President Hanada was just listening to the whole conversation the whole time. However, his mind was already far away and thinking ahead. They need to get Ashley by their side. No matter what happens, he will insists that Ashley agrees to be an endorser for the company.
When Ashley stands up to ready to leave, - "Miss Gusman, would you mind staying for a moment? There's something I need to speak with you!" Said President Hanada seriously with a stern-looking face.
There was nothing she could do but sit back and let everyone leave except for her, Koji, Kai, and President Hanada. Once everyone has gone, Kai then spoke up to explain to his dad.
"Dad, It's not Ohani's fault she did that. I was at fault because I told her that she was the endorser of the new product. I didn't know that the Marketing Director will change his mind just because he saw Miss Gusman! "Kai said while shooting dagger at Ashley.
Ashley was shocked to hear her name. 'What the heck is wrong with this guy? Is he blaming me for being here? That jerk, I came here as Koji's assistant, not to talk. nor compete with Ohani Yamachugi. Is it my fault I was born beautiful?' She thought as she stared back at Kai with a raised brow. 
Koji smirked when he saw how bad she was staring at his brother Kai. At least one thing he knows for sure,- he would not be a competitor in the future. Ever since he could remember, he's always giving ways to his younger brother. That's because Kai is their mother's favorite son.
Even the position as President of THJ Entertainment, it was given to Kai by his mother. She begged and pleaded to Grandmother Hanada to give him the position. Unlike Koji, he's in his position from his own effort. He studied hard to excel.
Ever since Koji entered THJ Group, the stock price raised to the roof. That's why Tanaga holds him dearly, not just as a cousin but also as one of his best employees. But, It is also becoming the reason why he could not get promoted to a higher position. Due to the fact that he's the best in his field.

A week passed by as both Ves and Professor Ventag adjusted the Aurora Titan's design. They worked away as many flaws as possible without compromising the strengths of the mech.
When it came time to fabricate the second prototype for testing, Ves begged off the opportunity to do it himself.
"I trust in your company's capabilities."
"Oh? That's quite different from last time, Ves. Why the change of heart?"
"I am used to doing everything myself." Ves replied over the comm. "However, after seeing how competent your subordinates are, I think they can do an excellent job in my stead. The difference in quality won't be very noticeable."
"That is true. I hardly ever bother with fabricating a mech by myself. My employees have gotten very good at fabricating even my most complicated designs due to focused efforts on enhancing their capabilities. This is something that every mech company can accomplish over time as long as you keep nurturing your mech technicians."
The professor raised a good point. At this time, Ves would never trust his mech technicians as much as the professor did his own. The LMC's mech technicians were still rather basic in their qualifications. Learning how to fabricate an entirely new mech design took way too long. They would need to fabricate at least dozens of Aurora Titans in order for them to pass through the steepest part of the learning curve.
Aside from not wanting to bother with redundant work, Ves also had two other reasons to leave the matter in someone else's hands.
First, he already observed the effect of the Aurora Titan's underdeveloped X-Factor. Its strength was so strong that the test pilot already noticed its presence from the start.
Ves did not wish to attract more attention to this aspect of his design than he liked. The testing facility would doubtlessly be scratching their heads trying to disassemble and reassemble the Aurora Titan over and over again if they encountered the same phenomenon yet again.
By letting others be responsible for fabricating the prototype, the X-Factor of the mech would still be present, but in a substantially weaker form. It shouldn't be strong enough to attract any alarm.
Ves figured the incident with the prototype mostly had to do with the fact that Ves fabricated the prototype personally by hand. As his Spirituality increased in strength, its effects gained in strength as well. Any mech designed and handcrafted by Ves gained a lot more value than before!
In general, this was good news, because his gold label mechs and any custom mechs he developed became even more fantastic compared to their bronze and silver label counterparts. Even the latter two editions also rode along as the more potent X-Factor of the design meant that even if others mass produced his mechs, they would still retain a good amount of spiritual strength.

They moved on to discuss the marketing of the Aurora Titan. The closer they came to publishing the design, the more they began to shift their attention towards prepping it for the market.
So far, the initial tests showed that the Aurora Titan held a lot of promise. The challenge was in trying to convince the market to appreciate the value it could bring to a spaceborn mech force.
Marketing the mech was crucial to the mech design's commercial success. While neither Ves or Professor Ventag would bleed if the Aurora Titan flopped in the market, it wasn't in their nature to give up before a fight.
This was why both of them pooled together a substantial amount of money into the Aurora Titan's marketing budget. The LMC together with Bollinger Mech Trade would focus on marketing the Aurora Titan in Bentheim. NORA Consolidated would try to market the mech model in the rest of the Bright Republic and the star sector.
These two marketing campaigns required a lot of funding to take hold. If the Aurora Titan didn't sell more than a thousand mechs per year, then both companies would lose more money than they earned from its sales due to all of the money wasted on ad campaigns and other marketing activities.
"Where do you think NORA Consolidated spends most of its money?" The professor suddenly asked.
"Research?"
Ves knew that a Senior Mech Designer often engaged in expensive research in an attempt to advance their design philosophies. They needed to perform many different experiments, many of which involved the use of very high-end materials.
Advancing to Master was the ultimate dream of every Senior Mech Designer. Without devoting a sufficient amount of time and money into their research, they would never be able to come close to join the ranks of vaunted Masters in their profession!
Yet surprisingly, the professor shook his head. "It's actually marketing."
While Ves had an inkling that the professor might say that due to the current topic of discussion, the answer still surprised him a lot!
"How much do mech companies actually spend on marketing?"
"It depends on many factors, but generally the larger the mech company, the more they are able to leverage their scale to achieve very substantial gains from marketing. There are mech companies in the Bright Republic that spend twenty, thirty or even forty percent of their budgets on marketing!"
Forty percent! A mech company that spent almost half of their budget on advertising and other marketing activities alone must almost certainly run on hype alone!
"Does it work?"
"That's a difficult question to answer, but generally yes. Marketing does work. Why do so many mech companies allocate such a high proportion of their budgets to marketing activities if it's just a waste of money. It's an investment, Ves. In order for a company to make money, they have to spend money. Even if my company releases a new mech model, it can't rely on my reputation alone to turn it into a great success. Even though my company's brand is very strong, there are other companies that are also just as well-regarded."
"So mech companies are constantly competing against each other on marketing?" Ves furrowed his brows. "Won't that turn into an arms race at some point? Company A spends ten percent of its budget on marketing to capture marketing share from Company B. Subsequently, Company B spends twenty percent of its budget on marketing to recapture that same marketing share. In response, Company A ups their spending on marketing by thirty percent, and so on. Won't that eventually eat away at every company's profitability?"
The only companies who won in this arms race were the news portals and other media outlets who played the advertisements on behalf of the mech companies! They must be rolling in credits with all the money the mech companies threw at them to run their ads!
The sums talked about were far more than the company invested in marketing the Blackbeak and the Crystal Lord during their launch!
For the same money the company prepared to spend on its upcoming marketing campaign, it could have easily used the money to buy another Hanover production line and still have 2 billion credits left to spare!
"These spending levels are fully reasonable, Ves." Professor Ventag stated. "Sure, we are gambling heavily on our Aurora Titan design to achieve at least moderate success, but in order to maximize these odds, we need to invest a great amount of money."
"Still, ten billion credits is a lot of money for the LMC. If not for.. extenuating circumstances, my company would have never been able to gather this much money for the Aurora Titan's marketing budget."
The problem the LMC faced was that 10 billion credits was actually on the small side! The advertising landscape was so saturated with ads for different mech models that it was hard to get a consumer to pay attention to the Aurora Titan unless ads about it continued to pop up. Not only would ads have to be present in Bentheim's virtual sphere, but a physical presence was also essential.
The professor underscored the necessity of spending this much money. "Think about how many Aurora Titans need to be sold to earn back all of this money. How many mechs do we have to sell to recoup our marketing budgets? Does it seem so difficult for us to manage to sell at least this much mechs?"
Selling a thousand or more Aurora Titans would allow the LMC to pay back its investment in their new model's marketing campaign.
Ves nodded reluctantly. "If you put it that way, then maybe spending so much on marketing doesn't seem so bad. With how extensive our marketing campaigns can be, perhaps my concerns are unfounded."
This was the perspective of a true major mech manufacturer! The LMC still had a long way to go before it began to equal the likes of the old KNG or NORA Consolidated.
The Senior elaborated on the issue of marketing. "Right now, you're still an Apprentice, so you have always treated the competition as numerous but formless. Yet will that last? No mech company could do without marketing! Not if they wished to continue to grow!
A marketing campaign was like a mech regiment meant to be employed in the war for market share. In this analogy, the side which fielded the best and most numerous mechs gained the upper hand against a less-well funded mech regiment.
If Ves continued to remain as miserly with regards to marketing as before, his company's marketing activities would only be as strong as the Flagrant Vandals.
In an equal battle, the Flagrant Vandals would definitely lose out against the Hostland Warriors or the Spiral Shockers!
The Mech Corps invested a lot of money into maintaining the strength of their mech regiments. Mech companies were similar in that they spent huge amounts of money into their marketing activities.
Whether it was the military or a private mech company, both of them were required to fight their own battles.
A mech company like the LMC would always need to fight against someone in the market in order to secure some market share.
Ves ended the call shortly afterwards in order to digest the lessons he received.
The professor was also a teacher, after all, so he always imparted the information that Ves needed to know the most.

You need to setup a social media platform where customers can get in touch with you so that you can reply immediately for any questions on how to use the product or other queries.  You can make use of Facebook or other platforms to create a new official page solely for this purpose. Your page will have your logo and list your  products or servives. Describe the benefits and how to use in a concise and easy to understand language. Post morning greetings daily on your page. Let customers feel that you're not only interested to just make a fast deal. Instead you have to think differently and tell yourself that you have to provide the best products or services above the rest of your competitors. You have to prove that you're the fastest in terms of delivery or services you offer. Once you have put in your best efforts slowly and making sales you will start to get positive feedback comments from your customers. Use these testimonials and publish on your page. This is a good marketing tool to get new customers to trust your brand and service. Get as many followers to like and join your group. Once your followers grow it will be tandom with your business growth. Customers will keep on retuning back to you for more orders. If you received new customers orders due to recommendation from your regular customers. Be grateful and at least give your regulars a small gift as a token of appreciation.  You will get more leads from at active 'word of the mouth' person.
So how do I retain my customers?
Create a campaign specially for  a closed group of your regular customers. Spread the special promo campaign only for your regular customers. Make them feel special I am very sure they will come back for more of your products.

Although my business is small customers think that I have a big company. You need to be consistently be pro active for the first few months  for outdoor marketing. Do not be to reliant on internet marketing for sales. It's time to wake up from your comfort zone and get back to basics of marketing your brand and products.

"Of course, I'm joining," I told Rina-sunbae as the Marketing team's list of members arrived at us. I found my name on the list and signed it using my black ballpen. I passed the paper to Rina-sunbae, who was sitting right next to me.

"Ah," My eyes widened in shock as I scratched my temples. Such a mistake! I thought he'd know it since the two of them are close. "Seungwoo initiated that we should drop formalities since we are of the same age."

"Is that so?" He bobbed his head as a response, "I can't believe it, and he doesn't really like it if people call him directly by his name."

"I see." I just laughed because I didn't know what to say, so I prompted myself to change the topic. "You seem to be close to Mr. Kim,"

"Now you are calling him formally because I pointed it out," Wooyoung-sunbae laughed. "You can call him whatever you want as long as it's not that of a formal setting."

"Okay,"

Though she's still a B-list actress." a female employee from the BA team said. Everyone gasped that she has a cousin who is very popular.

"Minnie, I didn't know you have a popular relative." one of he co-workers teased.

Xiulan didn't understand the motive. She has a lot of question marks in her face. "Please elaborate, I don't really get your point."

"Boss, I am not sure if you are aware of this but the online community has been waiting for the collaboration of our company with your husband's company. They were expecting that any time soon Mrs. Xing might ask help from her husband. I think it's kind of sexist of them to think like this. He silently watches the stock market in one monitor, on the other the trending topics in Weibo and other local Chinese social media, in another monitor are international social medias like Twitter, Youtube and Instagram. 

Hongqi pulled out his phone from his pockets and called the head of the Social Media marketing team. "We'll be releasing a new music video in 5 hours. Make sure the team will monitor the amount of views we get per hour.If we reached the desired quota per hour, we can release a practice video or behind the scenes."

"Noted, young master." the social media marketing head affirmed. 

Hongqi ended the call and went outside the separated room. He sat on his presidential chair and started reading this big proposal for the Song family business.   

Ever since he got married to Xiulan, he's the one controlling the Song family business. The old Song Yingpei gave him all the right to control it. Xiulan's not aware of this. 

Though the company is still under the name of Song Yingpei, Hongqi has a huge share in it the company which makes him wealthier and more powerful.

Hongqi thought that the old Song was too trusting to him. He finds it stupid to be honest. But even though he found the old Song to be gullible, he's not that evil enough to sabotage the company.

He doesn't have any enmity towards the Song family anyway. He's just here to make a lot of money, broaden his power and use the Song name. 

But he never thought that his relationship with his wife, the youngest daughter of Song Yingpei, could affect his heart. He's not sure if this is what they call love but she's very important to him. By far, she's more important than his father right now.

Before, he only wanted to control and prosper the company for his selfish sake and to continue acting like he cares about the Song company. But now that Xiulan is deeply important to him, he wanted to make sure that the company prospers so Xiulan's attention will be on him. Praising him, loving him, thanking him.

He became thirsty over her attention especially that she's always busy. Her attention is divided to a lot of things like family and friends, her own IT company, government related jobs and him. How many percent of attention left for him when she's so busy?

"What?" Hongqi glowered and angrily took the document. He browsed the file and irritably threw it in front of him. "What was the reason?" he probed.

"Uhm... according to the report. The other choices might be distasteful for the madame's liking. We didn't have any representative to create suggestions so this has brought bad news for us. Apparently, a huge number of madame's staff are a huge fan of our artists. Most of them suggested an artist of ours but they blurted out the wrong names." Secretary Yang Bo tried his best to explain and a cold sweat started to form in his back.

"Please just straight to the point. If the staff recommended an artist from our company, so why didn't she pick any of them?" Hongqi impatiently ordered. 

Secretary Yang Bo cleared his throat before continuing. "The staff recommended Han Meili and Gu Jia Shu. Currently, those two are very popular to young adults and office ladies because of their impeccable fashion and beauty. We all know that those two were your former flings. This news has reached your wife." Secretary Yang Bo bravely explained. 


Hongqi unbelievably stared at Secretary Yang Bo.  Did he heard that right? Han Meili and Gu Jia Shu?


The side of Hongqi's mouth twitched. He's not sure if he should do extreme measures to fire those people who suggested those two actresses' names. He has a lot of better female talents in his company yet they really have to pick those two. 

"Someone's sabotaging my relationship with my wife, huh?" he darkly asked.

"..." Yang Bo's not sure what to reply. Why his boss suddenly thought of that? "Is his narcissistic side reaching its limits?" He secretly thought.

"Please make sure to punish those two staff who recommended the names. No need to fire them but maybe scare them a little." Hongqi sighed and he relaxed on his seat. He's really angry whoever decided to blurt those names and leak his relationship with them.

"But wait.... that means she got jealous?" Hongqi excitedly thought. His mouth created a sweet grin.

Secretary Yang Bo watches his boss who just made multiple expressions in just span of minutes. He's not sure if his boss is still sane or naturally abnormal.

Song Xiulan's parents doted on her so much that they would even find the best bachelor out there to be her husband.

Rome didn't know what to think about the phone call he'd just made. Sinders Movie Marketing was the company the producers of the film he's just finished were using to do the marketing. What were the chances he'd accidentally call them when he meant to call Mark? How was it that their numbers were so similar?
 Beyond that, the girl he'd spoken to, Ella, had been really cool. Her accent had caught his attention right away. He couldn't tell what sort of accent it was at first, so when she'd mentioned that she was originally from LA but had spent a great deal of time in France, it made more sense. He pictured a young, beautiful French girl with dark hair and eyes. She'd said she was twenty-two, so not much younger than him. Rome had been tempted to ask her out, right there on the phone, but that was sort of cringy, and he didn't want to be that guy.
 Still, he'd meant what he said about calling her back. She seemed like the kind of girl he could talk to for hours and never get bored. He bet she had a lot of adventures to share, too, what with her having been in Europe for so long. He sat on the couch and pictured himself walking hand in hand with a beautiful girl, laughing, maybe splashing their feet in the waves at the beach. Perhaps this phone call had been more than luck. Perhaps it had been kismet.
 Marge had called to ask about the audition, and he'd told her it had gone pretty well. Then, she'd told him she got him an audition for another movie. This part was even bigger than the role he'd played in The Way You Hurt Me. Rome had agreed to audition, even though he knew there was a good chance the production company making the film would use Sinders Marketing, which would make his father mad. He'd just have to get over it, though. Practically every other production company in Hollywood used Sinders, except for his dad's company, Verona Productions. 
 He honestly didn't know what the big deal was anyway. So Lloyd Sinders had charged him more for a marketing campaign than he had originally quoted. That had led to a fight that now spanned over two decades. Monty Verona was a stubborn man to say the least, and Rome didn't want to get on his bad side. But it all seemed a little ridiculous to him. At the end of the day, it had been settled in court with a stern warning from the judge that the two parties should just stay away from each other. That didn't mean it would hurt anything for Rome to be in movies produced by companies that used Sinders, though. Actors had nothing to do with the marketing other than promotions booked through their own agents and posing for pictures often taken by freelance photographers--not the marketing company.
 Rome sighed and punched in Mark's number noting it was a 1 not a 7 near the end of the digits. "Dude, I've been waiting forever for you to call."
 "Dude… why didn't you just call me?" Rome asked, shaking his head at his idiot best friend.
 "Because, I didn't want to screw it up for you. Your phone going off in the middle of an interview would be so lame."
 "Audition--not interview.  You're an actor. You should know that."
 "Whatever, dude. I haven't been to an interview… audition in years, brah. One of the perks of being on a TV show."
 "Right. Well, it went all right. I should hear in a few days."
 "Sweet. All right. Say, where are we partying tonight?"
 "I don't know, man. Aren't we getting a little old to be going out every single night of the week?"
 "No way, brah. This is LA. We've gotta be seen. How about Lucky Red? We haven't been there in a while. That hot waitress you like works there, the one with the red hair."
 "Mark, all of the waitresses at Lucky Red have red hair. It's kind of the theme."
 "Oh, right, brah! I hadn't thought of that. Sweet! So… Lucky Red, then? See Rosa?"
 Rome thought about the girl in the parking lot, the blonde who'd told him that's where she was going that night. She'd probably think he was there to see her. But Rosa was hot, and he was pretty sure there was more to her than one might think. She'd told him that she was waitressing while she was going to school to be a nurse, so it wasn't like she was just another bimbo model-wanna be working as a drink slinger while she waited for her big break. "All right, man. Lucky Red it is."
 "Sweet. Pick me up at 9:00?"
 "Isn't that a little early?"
 "Brah, I gotta get my drink on soon, or I'm gonna be sober."
 Rome chuckled, hoping he was just joking considering he'd worked earlier that day. "All right. See you at 9:00."
 "Let Bart know."
 "Will do." Rome shook his head. Mark was so crazy. One of these days, he was going to end up in serious trouble if he didn't get this drinking and partying under control.
 Rome set his phone down, but he couldn't help but think about the phone call he'd made before he'd rang Mark. Was there a chance Ella from Sinders Marketing would be at the club tonight? He doubted it. But then, fate had caused him to call her number earlier… so maybe she would be. The idea brought a smile to his face. He definitely wanted to know what she looked like--and he was definitely going to call her back. But not now. That would be weird and desperate. And she was probably off work now, too. No, he wouldn't call her tonight, but he would call her. Soon.
