Heroism, mainly a form of reverence towards an individual who is celebrated by people for a sort of achievement that extends between military conquests, saving lives, and living by a personal code of honor. Such people would be much appreciated in a time of mayhem and disaster such as the current times in Hammerfell. The rise of the Order of the Black Worm was an opportunity for such heroes to start appearing and bring about peace and order.

Earlier this morning, Governor Kareem gathered a thousand Warrior in the garden of his palace and spoke of what lies in front of him. He gathered them in his garden, offered them food and drink, invited every bard and muse in the isle, and stood on a balcony overlooking the island with Faten beside him and a tall mage in and Ebony plate standing behind him.

"O men, it has been two days since we ended the bitter siege. With your struggle we persisted, and to your honor we drink. Thanks to Master Mage Krilon, who came to us in the hour of need, we lived to see another day.

Thanks to that, I spared no effort and pushed forward for a hasty but satisfying wedding. While I was acting the groom, the good news reached me that you rooted out all the Necromancers in Stros M'kai with Master Krilon.

You are victorious, you deserve the rewards and the rest… but you haven't achieved much. Our trials have just begun."

Kareem picked the sword on his hip and rested it on the baluster of the balcony.

{You are taking the right choice.} The voice of his family's guardian, Prince A'tor, echoed in his head.

Kareem looked forward and saw the men staring at him with wills of steel. He assured himself and proudly spoke.

"Our duty is not over! Stros M'kai may have survived but other places are still fighting. A thousand Hunding Chargers may not be enough to save every part in Hammerfell but let's be a welcome change for the good, for the better, and victory over the dread lords.

If we won and the whole Hammerfell was swallowed by the dead, we achieved no victory. Under that grim pale sky, we achieved no victory.

O men, remember the words of our brightest ancestor, Frandar Hunding; 'Be resolute, fear no sacrifice and surmount every difficulty to win victory'. And this is the way we fight.

Our ships are strong, our arrows are swift, are blades are sharp, our steeds are fast; and as a blessing from Hunding, the [Soul Sword] of Prince A'tor returned to us, we even have a Master Wizard on our side… what more do we need? Tell me what more do we need?"

Kareem spoke to them and every warrior howled raising their swords and shouting with him. Among his chargers, this young Governor was surely popular. For one final motivation, Kareem drew the [Soul Sword] lifting it up.

"Raise our banner high! The times of noble deeds are upon us!"

And the banner of Stros M'kai was raised. It was a sword pointing down and a crown over it all on a circle of swords. This sword is a reference to the [Soul Sword], the crown is a reference to the Crowns faction, and the circle of swords is a reference to the [Book of Circles] written by Frandar Hunding, the most accomplished Sword Master in History.

Jon watched from behind Kareem until he was satisfied with the reaction of the warriors, he felt like going back to Winterhold and going on a few marches and training sessions with his Dare Troopers. Those rascals must be growing fat now that he has been away for almost a year.

Jon walked away and arrived at the corner of the garden where his group was gathered. Beth, previously called little Boethiah, was telling some sort of a story to the others grasping their attention.

"What are you babbling about?" Jon asked.

"She is telling us the story of how you got the name Dare." Mirren said.

"Ah! The good old times." Jon smiled.

Jon was about to join the gathering but he was called.

"Master Krilon." 

Looking back, it was Kareem and Faten.

"Governor! Lady Faten! How can I help you?" Jon stood up.

"We would like to thank you again for assisting us three times already. We are looking forward to our cooperation in the next campaign." Faten said.

"You are welcome, my lady." Jon thanked her.

Jon has helped Stros M'kai three times indeed, first with the Siege, then with rooting out the Necromancers, then with getting rid of the gigantic corpse of the Flesh Atronach earlier this morning. He even gifted a suit of armor to Kareem as a gift for his wedding, one of the best joint works between Wulfur's smithing and Jon's enchanting.

"We do not have anything to reward you with Master Krilon so please, accept this gift from my household." Kareem said as four servants came while carrying a large object.

It was a large book gilded cover and a fancy texture with a title saying [The Book of Circles by Frandar Hunding].

"The is the full version of the Book of Circles that was owned by my family's line of Governors since the ages of Tiber Septim and ancestors Cyrus and Iszara. I have heard that Master Krilon is not just a Mage but also a swordsman so I am gifting this hoping it would be of use." Kareem said.

Jon and his group got their eyes open wide after seeing the book, not for its gilded cover of a catchy name but for its true value. For Jon as a collector, he surely has a version of the book of circles but to get the full version. That's a one in a lifetime opportunity.

The Book of Circles was written by Frandar Hunding in order to pass on his life long insights and knowledge. For Redguards, it is an enormous part of their culture and everyday life. Each household in Hammerfell has an alcove by its hearth just big enough to hold a copy of the Book of Circles in honor of Hunding.

Here is the fun part. The book is regarded as the encyclopedia of Swordsmanship as it contains thirty-eight grips, seven hundred and fifty offensive and eighteen hundred defensive positions, and nearly nine thousand moves essential to sword mastery.

Jon walked over to the book and smiled not waiting to carry it.

"This version was copied by Cyrus himself among many other copies. One of them was gifted to Tiber Septim and another was kept here. It was a tradition that every Governor who rules Stros M'kai would make a copy by his own hand to prove the willpower of leadership." Kareem said.

"It is priceless." Jon said.

"Well, it is supposed to be priceless but no one really was able to open it…" Kareem started explaining something but Jon paid no heed.

He was excited for such a rare thing to be added in his collection so he extended his hands about to touch the cover but as soon as he did, everything around him darkened.

It was pitch-black, cold and bone shivering.

Jon looked around him as he felt an unfathomable presence gaze down at him.

He felt weak… weak like an insect.

It was all too sudden, Jon Dare who never knew fear felt his soul shaking and his cold sweat making everything on him wet.

It was dark but all of a sudden… fire! Fire was everywhere.

The whole darkness was burning and he felt more fear than before as if this flame will consume him Firemane or not.

His throat became dry from the heat of the fires but his sweat was still cold.

Then it appeared. It showed its face to him. From the darkness, a colossal creature emerged swaggering in its red scales, in its strong body, in its overbearing aura.

A Dragon.

The Dragon looked down on Jon. Jon felt weak for the first time in years. Helpless, fearful, pressured… but he didn't panic.

He looked up at the dragon eye to eye and as if the latter was saying "How Dare you look at me?", Jon became blinded with anger. It was then when he let loose of his frightening Tyrannical Aura.

*Shatter*

And the whole darkness shattered.

There was no darkness, no fires, no dragon.

It was just Jon in the Garden of the Palace with everything around him as it was. The only difference is, he was the center of all attention for some reason.

He looked around as the others were eyeing him with strange eyes but not exactly him, it was his direction. But no one is around him.

"Wow, did you feel that?" Faten was the first to speak.

"Yes." Kareem nodded, "For a second, it felt like we were back at the final hour of the siege all over again."

Jon looked around him and felt the strange phenomenon, all were speaking about something as if they were back in some sort of a fight or something.

It took them a few seconds after they realized it was just their imagination.

"Anyway, I was saying that no one could open this book. They say its cover was crafted from the scales of the Dragon that Cyrus slew under this very palace…" 

"Nafaalilargus." Jon muttered.

"Yes, that's the name of the Dragon. The important thing is…" Kareem tried to continue his fervent speech but Faten cut in.

"Kareem."

"Yes."

"Look."

She pointed towards Jon's hand where he was touching the book. Both Jon and Kareem, as well as the ones around, looked to see that Jon has already opened the cover which was known that no one has ever opened it.

Kareem's jaw dropped.

For eight centuries, this book was never opened and those who tried to open it were all left with trauma for days until they forgot about it. It was a treasure and an item of legacy but it also was foretold that the ones who open that book are the ones who are acknowledged by it.

It was a shock for Kareem as his ancestors had already given up about the book and considered it something akin to a sword stuck in stone but no one actually did it… until someone did it.

Jon, on the other hand, was taken aback by the book itself. Its cover was made of the scales of Nafaalilargus, the Imperial Dragon of Tiber Septim.

Nafaalilargus, whose real name is Nahfahlaar, was was a red dragon who often allied with mortals for his own protection such as King Casimir II, the Dragonguard on two different occasions, and lastly Emperor Tiber Septim when Nafaalilargus started working as a mercenary dragon in the employ of Tiber Septim during the conquest of Tamriel.

Nafaalilargus was a proud soldier and a loyal vassal, causing him to be considered "a jewel of the Imperial crown". He is the very same dragon that is decorating the symbol of the mightiest Empire in the World.

Nafaalilargus was killed by Cyrus eight centuries ago but as no Dragonborn was its slayer, Nafaalilargus is not really dead.

Jon felt like his second (technically third) visit to Hammerfell was becoming more thrilling than he had ever thought. A book of Swordsmanship covered by the scales of a Dragon, now that manly book felt like something that can buff anyone with Testosterone to the point where Mirren may actually grow chest hair.

Jon accepted the gift knowing this will add some more fun twists to his Fate.

Later that day, the ships of Port Hunding were packed with a thousand charger and their horses.

Jon was on the Flagship of the Governor of Stros M'kai reading from the first pages of [Cyrus' Book of Circles]. Enthralled by the refined text and the original insights of Frandar Hunding while feeling the texture of the Dragonscale over the cover, Jon felt like reading the best book ever.

This book was big. Not just in size but its content was written in a very small text to just to fit the whole insights in. It is said that the Way of the Sword, the Art of Sword-Singing was lost after the Redguard abandoned this book. It returned back overtime but Jon wasn't interested in the concept of the Sword-Singing in general but rather the Archetype of the Swordsman.

He read and read without realizing the time. He also didn't realize that his hunger for power grew another fold.

Lately, Jon was stuck in the Early Flame Dragon Heart Stage in his training ever since he left Morrowind. After coming face to face with the remnants of the Dragon Soul stuck in the cover of the book, Jon regained his feeling of being weak once again and he started meditating without realizing. He was breaking free from the bottleneck.

Meanwhile, Beth was sleeping not too far away from him. She shut her eyes tightly and saw a dream.

A Spear, Three Swords, a Ship with Red Sails. She saw two men fighting in the desert each was on the brink of falling apart. One was carrying a spear with the shape of a cobra to its blade and his limbs were all broken, the other was carrying a sickle sword and protecting someone. It didn't feel like Hammerfell but the man with the spear was definitely Zain judging by his [Serpent Spear], the other man looked out of place.

She saw the demise of Zain on the hands of a complete stranger.

Mei frowned and irritatingly asked, "What happened? Why are you calling me from grandfather's phone." 
"I am talking in behalf of your grandfather, dear daughter. He just asked me to inform you something" her father told. 
Meanwhile, Feng frowned. He didn't like the tone of voice of her father. 
Like always, so domineering and commanding. 
Mei noticed the angry baby in her lap and caressed his cheeks, silently pleading him not to loose his cool self and lash out on her father. 
"What is it that you want to talk, father?" she asked. 
And in the same time Feng sat up and pulled her into his embrace. He slowly started kissing and sucking her neck, making her very hard not to moan. He loves teasing her like this….
"Your grandfather had set up a date for you today evening. He seriously want to you to go and meet the person" her father told. 
And, as soon as the word 'date' reached Feng's ears his eyes turned chilly and involuntary he bit her neck little harsh making her wince. 
She couldn't help but glare at Feng as she rubbed the red spot on her neck. 
"Father, I already told everyone that I don't want to marry anytime soon. Why don't you people listen to me and leave my life to me" she annoyingly said. 
However no one replied from the other side and she can vaguely hear the footsteps. In no time, an old man took the phone. 
"Xiao Mei, is this how you talk to your father hmm? I know that you don't like them much but you must respect them as your elders." Her grandfather said. 
It's been months her grandfather talked to her. So, Ye Mei got very emotional. "But, grandpa-" she was about to tell something but her grandfather quickly cut her off. 
"Leave about it child. I understand your perspective too" her grandfather sighed. This son of his will only contact his daughter if he needs any help from her. 
He often wonders if he didn't raise his son properly. At least, the granddaughter he raised turned out good and capable with proper ethics.

Jasper who walked out of the studio didn't go right away but patiently waited outside. 
He want to talk to the director and ask him how he got an idea of this plot for which Biyu just acted now. 
Something is fishy with it..  
He knows that Eve will be worried if she don't see him. But he needs to sort out things…
When Jasper is busy in his own reverie, the director exited the studio and approached the parking lot. 
It didn't take any long for him to notice noticed Jasper. Director smiled and approached him, "Ms. Linda has very good skills. I hope you will lead her in good path and help her shine just like she once had. I heard from someone that she has gone through a lot in her past" 
Jasper smiled in return and assured him. Of course, he will take care of his love….
"Mr. Jasper, do I know you? Your name sounds so familiar actually…." The director asked slightly confused.

He is just trying to collect information he needed. 
"Yes, even I thought that this story has good potential. But the script writer isn't me and she is a new writer who came to me with this story. I just took a small part from it and made Linda to act." The director told. 
"However, I am still reading the story and if I like I should ask that new writer for the rights before making it as my film." He added. 
Meanwhile, Jasper felt it more suspicious. 
"That's great. Mr. Mu…..I just couldn't keep my excitement in check. The story seems very interesting…..I wonder what the story really is" Jasper casually told as he laughed a little. 
No one would suspect that he is just pretending. All his actions are very natural and seemed so genuine. 
"Oh child, why to be so excited? I can share the story to you….anyhow I have to contact you itself if I want Linda to act in it" the director laughed happily ss he patted Jasper's back. 
Meanwhile the bodyguards and Jasper's personal team who are hiding little far, couldn't help but gawk and gape. That old director called their boss as 'child'. 
In which way can their boss be called as 'child'. He is the king of underworld and first person in command of the legendary council. He is also the CEO of one of the most famous and biggest companies in the world. 
"The story is of reincarnation of a girl who falls in love with the person whom she has to cheat and collect the information about him and his secret organization. Later she reincarnate and get back to the male lead" the director nonchalantly replied. 
Meanwhile, Jasper is utterly shocked and left speechless. It's indeed his and Biyu's own story. 
"What happened next?" Jasper calm asked. He sounded collected and normal but only he knows how much turmoil he is in 
"I have to read still. The writer just delivered the second part of the book while I was coming here, I didn't even open it yet." The director told. 
"Mr. Mu, can I just look into that book." Jasper asked indifferently. 
"No problem child. Actually the writer gave me two books and told me to give this book to anyone who express their interest in reading her book. I think I found that person" director chuckled and asked his driver to bring one of the two books. 
Later he handed it to Jasper. 
After sending the director, Jasper quickly got into his car and opened the gift wrapper. 
The book is wrapped in a gift cover…. not one layer but many layers.
A book with cover containing black background appeared after tearing away many layers of the wrappers. 
It has no tittle nor the author name and the cover is also simple. 
On the black background, a thick red tear drop was shown. It was looking as if that blood drop is falling on the floor and in the background, the silhouette of a girl can be faintly seen. 
Jasper frowned at the depressing vibes the cover is emanating and then opened the book. 
"Linda!!!" Jasper spoke in utter shock.

So It means I am reincarnated in this new world.
Though I don't know much about it from what i remember in this kid's memory this town is called fire town. 
It lies in the eastern part of fire continent, In Magma Kingdom. The capital city of Magma kingdom is magma town, 200KM South of which is a small town called Fire town. 
And I am the son of lord of the fire town.

This place I am reincarnated is little strange. People here can use magical powers. Those people are known as magia. This kid's father Leopz was also a magia of the 6th realm of Ad. People here carry strange books, they call vivilo. There is a large sign that covers the lower half of the back cover with the text Βιβλίο. 
These books are magical books. The realm a person can cover depend on the book. And the strange thing is that the magia can't choose the book rather it's the opposite where the books chooses the magia. Some people even travel forever to find the book that chooses them. 
Most of the common books are available on the national library of the magma kingdom however there are few exceptions every year and a person can't change the books ever in the life.
There is even a ancient tale of book that allows us to use more than one book. However such books are in legends only.

There are different levels of cultivation as a magia. Each level is divided into 9 different realms. Such as his father's 6th realm of Ad. There are 4 different realm as far as this kid's Knowledge. They are Ad, Adh, Adhi (which means half), Adhik (which means More than required). Each magi's Strength can be calculated by using something known as dynami level. They are categorized as:

My current strength is about 1st realm of Ad with Dynami Level of 1. When one breakthrough the 1st realm of Adh then they require Vivlo (Magical Book) for further cultivation.
My Father Lepoz's strength is  6th realm of Adh, my Mother Monko's strength is 3rd realm of Adh, My Uncle Dattake's strength is 4th realm of Adh and my grandfather Hitakai's strength is 7th realm of Adh, him being the strongest in the family.
My father also has a title of Lord of Fire city. People here have different titles like;

Hinata's point of view has undergone a final proof check.  I may have missed on some minor typos, but I'm comfortable to leave his story in the condition its in.  It's up to Webnovel to do future edits or corrections.

This marks the end of my writing to this story. It has been a whirlwind of a journey, spanning a year in the making. I've no regrets. So many people I want to thank for the encouragement to reach this ending. Writing a novel is never an easy thing to do. Writing an historical fiction is especially a difficult thing to do. At least for me it is. Reaching this conclusion is a proud moment for me.

I've corrected some rank issues in earlier war posts. Sean's rank is a corpsman not corporal. Although he was of a seniority equivalent. I'm going through some grammar fixes at the moment since I'm in the final act. Especially on dialect now that I have an updated tool to pick these up for me. Well, most of them anyway. I estimated about ten chapters are left to the end.

I'll post a light gift chapter after Black Rain. An attempt at another Tama POV and hopefully add some comical lightness to the heavy drama. Then it's back to Hinata for a number of chapters.

Oh, man. That moment has arrived. The next three chapters will contain the bomb drop and lots of drama. When I first wrote to the prompt, I hadn't really thought about continuing the story at that time.  Then afterwards, had considered it to be a novella and was doing whatever I could to avoid that moment. Now that it's a book and an ensemble drama. It's one of those events that I can't avoid.   
All I can say is get the tissues ready. Well, I'm saying to that to me, since I'm a weirdo for crying for my characters when they undergo tragic moments. 
Yeah.  The next three posts released on week 17/02 are going to be heavy.

I've released the final volume cover and story wrap-up. As the coming chapters will mark the end of Eiji's volume 3 POV. Bringing us to the finale volume. This cover has a Tama silhouette and plane. The washed out colors to represent cinematics. Hope it looks OK.  
[Back From Kyoto]-2220
I'm back from touring around Kansai region.  I'm happy to see  that my research wasn't far off the mark. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to visit Hiroshima first-hand.  I went to the Kyoto and Osaka city libraries and was able to read some wartime references and accounts.  Some broke my heart. There was a story about this young man who was a 7-year-old boy at the time when the bomb dropped. He and his older brother (by three years) had lost their family in one hit. They were staying with their aunt at the time, whilst their baby sister and parents went to the main town.  3 km was the distance that separated their family for life.  There were more stories like this in the library. Collected in anthology volumes.  I took some notes. 
What does this mean for the book? 
I'm back and so are the chapters.  I've planned out 5 x new chapters to date, and there're loads more to come before the final volume is ended.   
The new release chapters will kick off this coming Friday (07.02), and chapter releases scheduled for every Friday thereafter.  
"Only one chapter release weekly?!  Are you shitting me?" You may say (or not).  Fufufu.  Isn't there something called TGIF here?  That's all I'll say on the matter.

Kind of nervous about the new cover. I thought, screw it. If the ML stuff with harem can have babes with bazooka boobs about to fall out of string bikinis, I can have my Michaelangelos.  I was trying for a timeless love connection thing. Colors of time and so forth. 
Anyway. This the cover. Until WN tells me to change it.  Need to send them a spec sheet I guess. I'll wait for the editor to ask.
[Holiday's Boring]
Did some chapters. Changed the cover. Still, not convinced on it. Screw it! Jesus-Eiji it is. Until I can think of something better. Besides, it's Christmas break anyway.  
Update: Scrapped the Jesus-Eiji version. As it looked really tacky and annoyed me. Went back to basics. Will leave with just flowers for now, until something better pops up.

Q&A Time: Why the dual perspectives? And chop and changed about?
I dunno. Thought it would be a good idea at the time. Never envisioned this story to be more than 60K worth of words. At that point, it would've been fine. It's now on its way to doubling that amount. This makes the volumes a bit messy. Since I'm writing to this format, too late to change now. I think it also helps with character design immersion. Still, it's hard writing from two setting perspectives, so not to break the continuity of the whole story line. If it doesn't work, I'll revise at the end of the story. When I dust it off and walk away.

I'm taking a break from writing for Christmas and end of the year holidays. I've had a hell of a year. Been on/off work. Now I'm a NEET. No idea what tomorrow brings. I have no routine set for my life now. I just need to find a way to survive. Padded my car for the season just in case.

Eiji fought honorably for Japan at Iwo Jima. He fell injured in a banzai charge to be classified as dead. He recovered with the aid of an American lieutenant, who escorted him back into the mainland for espionage work. His one chance and hope of return to Hinata's side.

A drug from my home means many things. A drug to block out pain, a drug to make your worst nightmare come before you, a drug that can make you become a genius.
   Well, apparently here there is no such thing as any of those drugs, except for the pain blocking drug. Here it's called a pain killer.  Ryan told me that I should get a book at this ' Drug Mart ' to read up on this history of the world. This world I found out was called ' earth '. Ryan also says I should keep a journal, I should write my feelings down and the things I learn about myself and the earth. So here I am browsing the book isle on history and a good journal.

" Maybe this one?" I mutter to myself and pick up a book called. ' Our historic roots. ' I sigh and look at it. The cover is a bland brown with gold letters. 

" It's you again." A voice says. I turn to see the boy that I first say at Walmart. His freckles dot his nose. I can't help but smile. " You know I don't in my really pin you as the history type. After all,  you had a crazy costume on yesterday." 

"  Yeah,  a costume. It was for a party." I cover up. Back home we used to have party's. I smirk slightly. This boy may look innocent but I never fully trust people with ink black hair. He grins back at me. " what's your name. " I quickly continue my side of the conversation because he had opened his mouth to say something.

" Oh,  it's Johnna, it was my uncles name, he used to be crazy then all the sudden went missing. " He says. Ha, Johnna is the name of the leader of midnight magic thugs back home. I have to keep my enemies close maybe I can get back home from him. 

" Johnna, nice I'm Greata. " I say, I make this fake name from nature. His smile slightly falters something no one would notice unless,  like me you were looking for it. 

" Greata pretty. We should hang out sometime. Like my house has a pool. " Johnna says charmingly. I forse my smirk to grow bigger. Batting my eyelashes I say,  " My daddy would get so mad! He would probably confine me to my room."

Again his smile falters, but a stupid  highschool girl would not notice it. Just then Ryan rounds the corner to the books. I turn and make a quick face that says. ' Help me!' Ryan laughs lightly something that sounds highly fake. 

" Hey little sister,  let's go pay and leave." Ryan says he pins a glare on Johnna. Johnna glares back. Then throws his head back and laughs wildly, so wildly a few people look at him like he's crazy.

" You can't play this game forever Sera." He says them turns and struts down the isle. I run after him Ryan close behind me but when we round the corner he gone a little pile of black sand is the only thing that suggests he was ever there.

I scowl again and circle the room again. 

"Transportation magic. The midnight magic makes it harder to track and even if I did I would throw up way to much blood and turn over even more. " I say quietly in my rage. Scowling again I turn to Ryan. 

"Well you shouldn't use use your magic. But maybe you should or rather could get to a different relem. You say earth is a bad place for magic. " Ryan says. I scowl again. 

" Magical lady of the court and high level crystal warrior. I might as well be waving a flag and saying ' Hey! Kill me!' " I say. Ryan looks thoughtfully at his shoes. 

"Well you say that a healer could heal you right up from the blood you throw up and the midnight magic venom." Ryan begins. I pace again and grunt to say 'yes. '  " Well,  you also said that because you saw people with blonde hair they probably use magic and don't even realize it." He continues.

" Yes! Ryan. what are you getting at?" I say slightly interested.

" Well,  what if I have healing magic and never knew it. I just need a teacher to help me activate it and teach me the basics." He finishes. I stop pacing because I know it's a good idea but also a dangerous one. Now that the midnight magic thugs know I'm here they will probably kill Ryan if they get a chance.

" It may get you killed." I say and see him nodding. " And it may not work." he says okay.  " But it may also work.

"Ryan I hope you know what your agreeing to."

People seem to be afraid of Sera she is pretty but her hair is slowly changing to black like her eyes and skin. Soon her soul will turn black making it impossible to go back.

Elliot glared at Ducis who in return lowered his eyes, and bowed his head in dejection.
"Elliot….," he called him in a soft voice. After pausing for a few seconds, he looked straight to Elliot's eyes and answered him. "Yes, there are indeed some things I have not told you yet. And that is simply because the time has not come yet. I know that this may sound unreasonable, but please, I need you to trust me on this. I mean no harm to you."
"How can I trust you when you've been hiding things from me all along?" Elliot's voice raised as he grew furious with Ducis' answer. 
"Elliot, I - ," Ducis tried to tap his shoulder but he shoved his hands away in disgust. If there's anything Elliot didn't like, that would be lying in his face and Ducis knew that more than anyone else.
"Yes, we WILL trust you," Rania interrupted as she tapped Elliot's shoulder. She looked straight into his eyes and smiled, then turned to Ducis to affirm him. 
Elliot felt conflicted again. He couldn't understand why Rania would choose to trust a liar. He wanted to refute her but he couldn't. Not with those eyes that looked straight into his soul. He could only look away from her gaze and nod. But Rania touched his cheeks and pulled his gaze back to her.
"Elliot," she called unto him. "Trust….is no trust at all if it's conditional. You need to have a little faith. If your faith fails you, then let it be broken once it's broken. Only then can you decide if you're willing to give more or not. But for now, just simply trust in him. Whatever it is, I believe he has his own reasons for not telling you."
As if Rania's spirit is passing unto him, Elliot got convinced and thus, he nodded and agreed to her advice. 
"Ducis," he called him, "....if it's broken, then it's broken. I will only give my trust once. Remember that."
Ducis smiled bitterly, "Yes, I understand."
Afterwards, Elliot used his magic to open up the trap door. With his forefinger, he shot a thin beam of light unto it and the trapdoor exploded into pieces. Beyond the trapdoor lies a very long and dark stairway filled with webs and dusts. Elliot told Rania not to come along but she refused. So they all agreed to enter it together, along with the other sprites, and threaded carefully inside since the stairs looked too old and cracked that it might break any moment.
Without anything happening, they reached the very bottom where they saw an enormous door made of stones with large engravings of alphabets that were too ancient to be read, on every corner. It was dilapidated as well to the point that some of the letters were barely recognizable. As soon as they got near it, the door automatically opened to reveal a pathway made of thick, luminous glass that illuminated the rather dark room inside. And at the end of the pathway was a gigantic book that hovered in the air and transmitted a dark aura. Beneath it, a magic circle was drawn on the air as well and a symbol of an hourglass could be found in the middle of it. Even the pillars that surrounded the floating book were all but giant hourglasses if you look at it closely.
Elliot, Rania and Ducis entered the door and walked on the luminous pathway. Just a few steps inside and the door behind them shut close. This alarmed some of the sprites and terrified, they fled to Rania's back and hid themselves. Elliot couldn't care less for it since he thought he could just blow it up after, so he just continued walking the path faster than the others. He was curious and desperate for answers while the others were worried that they're trapped inside.
However, as soon as he reached the platform where the gigantic book hovered in the air, he couldn't proceed any longer. The magic circle beneath the book entrapped it in a barrier. And so, Elliot tried to destroy the barrier. He used a tiny bit of his spiritual energy to throw a thick beam of red light enough to pass through the barrier. 
But, it wasn't enough. Elliot, feeling a bit challenged, raised his left eyebrow and tried it again, this time with a bit more spiritual energy. He was careful not to put too much lest he destroy the whole place. But then again, it was of no use. This time, he tried to gather a concentrated ball of light on his hands, determined to break it at last.
"Don't, it's useless," Ducis stopped him. They finally caught up to him. Ducis slowed down to assist Rania and make sure she didn't fall into the abyss below which Elliot didn't notice due to his haste - that beneath the glass floor they walked on, was a very deep pit which you could see no end.
Elliot, noticing what he has done, breathed heavily to calm himself.
"I'm sorry," he apologized to Rania.
"It's okay. I'm the one who insisted on coming along anyways." 
Elliot nodded. Then looking back at the barrier, he told them, "It has a barrier and I can't break it. If I use too much magic, this whole place will collapse."
"You said it's useless, dragon. Why is that?," Luna turned to Ducis and asked him.
"Rania….. Only you can pass the barrier," he confessed.
"Me?" Rania was surprised. "Why me?"
"Is it because she's a human?" Elliot asked.
Ducis turned silent. "...Something like that".
Rania did as told. She approached the barrier, and slowly reached out her hand towards the floating book. To her surprise, her hands just passed through the barrier without anything happening. Not even a gust of wind on her hand or a cold or warm feeling like when you pass unto something. Using two hands now, she grabbed the book and pulled it outside the barrier. The book was heavy so Elliot helped her lift it up as soon as she took it out.
The book's dark aura dissipated as soon as Rania touched it. And as she continuously held on it, the vines that covered the book, slowly shrank itself into the back cover, letting them open it. None of them understood what was going on, except maybe, for Ducis. 
The book was beautiful and had many unreadable engravings like the door they walked into. It had a large black gem that looked like an onyx at the middle of the front cover. It wasn't there at first but when the vines were out of sight, it revealed itself.
"Hmmm....another puzzle,huh?" Rania pondered. "Can you all read it?"
Everyone shook their heads in unison. The language was too ancient to comprehend.
"What are you all saying? It's so easy to read!", Luna exclaimed after she finished her turn into looking at the book. The sprites were swarming over her so she was the last one to look at it. 
The others were surprised with what she said. 
"Then, what does it say?" the other sprite asked.
"Well it says a lot of things," Luna confidently answered as she put a smug look on her cute little face. "But the title mostly says it all".
"Title?" another sprite asked and they all flew around the book.
"Actually, let me take that back. The title is quite weird".
"Oh for goodness' sake! Just tell us what it is!" the short-tempered sprite yelled at Luna. Her face fumed pink in her anger.
"Okay! Okay!," Luna felt scared. "It says….it says….. Key"
"Key?" everyone chorused.
"That's it? Key?" Elliot asked.
"Well, is there a key inside?" Rania seconded.
The sprites looked but there were none. They flipped the covers and everything but couldn't find any.
Rania took the book and faced it backwards. She checked if the vines were covering something, but there was none as well. Then she thought of a weird idea.
"What if…." Then, reaching out her hands, she touched the black onyx gem and to her surprise, her hands went through! 
Rania felt her hand entering a body of water. She continued reaching out until her elbows were inside, though she couldn't see what exactly it was she's reaching out to. 
Until finally, something cold and felt like metal touched her fingers. 
She quickly took it and pulled it out again of the large gem.
And there it was…..a black key made of translucent glass with drops of golden dusts inside its surface.
And at its handle was a symbol of an hourglass….
Confused, they didn't know what the key was for. There were no more doors except the one they went from.

When she opened both of her eyes, she's looking at the ceiling she doesn't know. The next thing she realized was a warmthness she can felt on her right hand.

(... Mom?)

She thought inside her mind when she noticed the middle-aged woman before her. The sky is dark it was a starless night as the moonlight is coming inside the room through the windows. On the white sheets, Runa is lying as she looked around.

(... Where am I?)

She asked that to herself. Next, she noticed that if her mother was in front of her, that meant she was on Japan. She tried to grip the hand that is holding her right hand. But, the power won't come out. She tried to talk, but moving her lips is all she can do.

She tried to put all of her power into her right hand, and it resulted with her finger moved a bit. But, her mother doesn't miss that small movement on her right-hand finger. Her body twitched as she noticed that her daughter just moved even for a bit.

Slowly, she raised her head to look at her daughter. The moment their eyes met, light's returned to her eyes as her tears falling down from it. Next, she gripped her daughter right hand as hard as she could.

"... Haruna?"

Runa tried to say something but, her voice wouldn't come out. Moving her mouth is all the thing she could do. And when her mother realized that Runa is conscious, it made her panic and tried to call the doctor. But, a bit power is holding her right hand and doesn't let go, as if saying "Don't go," and this made her realized what her daughter wants as she looked at Runa at her eyes.

Runa eyelids are already so heavy, that it can fall anytime. But she did her best to prevent that from happening as long as possible. Runa just staring blankly at her dear mother with a smiling face, just staring at each other eyes blankly. When she realized her limit is coming soon, Runa smiled, and move her lips.

Her voice still doesn't come out. But her mother understood what her daughter cute lips movements are trying to say as she smiled back at her daughter. Seeing that smile, Runa made a face she usually made when she goes to school.

"Okay, I'll welcome you with your favorite food later." Runa's mother with her motherly smile.

But Runa is already fell unconscious when she said so. It made her realized that all of this time her daughter is watching her, knowing her daughter may be she tried her best to accomplish something big, she thought. For Runa's mother, this short meeting gave her a lot of strength so she didn't make her daughter worry for her.

This meeting made her realized there's still a long way for her to become a good mother. "I shouldn't make my daughter worrying me like this," she thought inside her mind as she slaps both of her cheeks turned to red. But she can't help it, she kept on worrying her knowing her daughter personality.

"But that girl is easy to get lonely, I wonder if she's gonna be fine?"

But she throws away that thought as she reminded of what her daughter lips movements are trying to say.

"I'll be back soon mom, wait for me. 'huh?"

Pain, she can feel it on her back. Then, she opened both of her eyes to realize that she was inside the library. The first thing she realized after that is the tears at the tips of her eyes.

"I see."

She said it as she wipes the tears at the tips of her eyes with her sleeves. "So, I met my mom," she said inside her heart. Her meeting with her mom gave her strength, with this she can do things without any need to worry about her mother. Determined, she slaps both of her cheeks in the same way as her mother did, "There are many things I need to do," she thought...

(But first I have to do something to this mountain of a book.)

So she takes the book 1 by 1 trying to turn the book to its shelf, just to realize that Shizuku is right beside her the whole time. But, for some reason, she doesn't get surprised by her, she's blankly looking at Shizuku.

"... What's with that boring reaction? Even though I was hoping to see your surprised face." Shizuku said with a face of disappointment.
"Haha, I don't know why too but, I don't have the urge to get surprised just now."
"What kind of reasoning is that?"

Runa said it with a wryly smile. And move her hand back to work,

"Just now... What are you dreaming about?"

It was Shizuku with a face full of curiosity. this made Runa looked at Shizuku with a face as if she expected this.

"So you were watching the whole time?"
"Nn, I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay." she paused for a moment, then take a glance at Shizuku, "I just, dreamed about my mom."
"... Your mother?"
"Yeah," Runa replied as she keeps her hands moving to arrange the book.
"I see." she stops asking, thinking it would be rude to ask any further.

She takes one of the books, the book title is The Endless War. When she opened the book to see what's inside, It was the record of the battle inside this endless war between human and devil. The cover of the book is a man in knight armor, and a devil fighting each other. By the human side, there is a light beside them as if supporting them. And by the devil side, there is darkness beside them, supporting them. The cover catch Shizuku eyes and she stared at it for a moment.

"Hey, Runa," Shizuku said as she keeps looking at the book cover.
"Yeah?"

Runa replied as she looked at Shizuku.
The moonlight that shone through the window illuminates her. It seemed like there was a halo around her glossy black hair, she looked like an angel. Without any deep feelings, Runa was fascinated with Shizuku's softness. He recovered herself when she heard Shizuku place down the book.

"It's about the trip into the dungeon tomorrow. I want you to stay here. I will persuade Brian-san and the others. So, please!"

She looked straight to Runa eyes as she pleaded. Runa was perplexed. Even Runa is useless, wasn't this a little too much?

"Um, what's this suddenly Shizuku? I'm aware of how useless I am in combat but, I'll think of another way to contribute to the party."
"Are you really saying that someone that can see through the camouflaged Treant useless?" Said Shizuku as she taped the book with one of her finger.
"Then what is it?"
"I'm aware this is weird. But I can't throw this feeling of mine aside." Shizuku said it with a serious face,

And this only made Runa think of something that shouldn't be done among two girls.

"I had this terrible feeling." She paused for a moment, and this phrase made Runa signed in relieve, "When I was sleeping in my room earlier, I was dreaming and you were there. When I called out to you, you did not even notice. When I chase you, I never caught up. At the end..."

Runa could saw her worried expression, and her bitting her lips.

"You disappeared."
"I see."

They sat in silence. It really was an ominous dream, but it was just a dream. With just that, they wouldn't permit a hero to stay. And she can't tell what kind of problem would come if she were to be permitted. She had no choice but to go. To reassure Shizuku, Runa spoke as gently as possible.

"A dream is just a dream, Shizuku. We have Brian and his veteran comrade with us. A lot of strong people like you, Arata, And Yamato are coming with us. Rather, our whole party is amazing. Actually, I feel sorry for the enemies. Maybe the reason for the dream you had is because you see my desperate face when we go home from the dungeon."

Shizuku just stared at Runa with an anxious expression while she spoke.

"Even so, I'm still worried."
"Then." Runa paused for a moment with her cheeks somewhat blushing, but she stared straight into Shizuku eyes. "Will you become my sword?"
"Eh!?"

She was aware of what she's saying, and as a person, she's feeling this shameful feeling from saying a line that's so chuuni-ish. Her face is already red with shame. In the room that was illuminated with the moonlight. Shizuku understood the situation well.

"You are a damage dealer right? Swordsman is a class that fights at the front line. No matter what, as long as you clear the path I'll be able to stand beside you with a smile. So, will protect me with your sword? If so, I believe I'll be fine." 

Shizuku just stared at Runa for a hile. Runa just desperately enduring the shame she felt as she kept her eyes from breaking contact with Shizuku's. Even though her body is writhing.

The biggest cause of person insecurity is the unknown. Shizuku right now is worrying about what could happen to Runa. So, it would be soothing, if they had the confidence to face the unknown.

For a while, they stared at each other. The silence was broken when Shizuku smiled.

"... Runa."
"Yes?"
"Are you always saying this embarrassing line when people worrying about you?"
"Ugh.. Shut up! I'm aware of it."
"That's why the girl called you with Onee-sama you know?"
"I know!!! I'm aware of it. so stop making me recall the things I don't want to remember."
"But..." Shizuku paused for a moment, with an angelic smile she said. "Thanks for giving me the confidence to face my worry."

Looking at her smile, Runa responded with a gentle smile as she said.

"You're welcome."

One day, Haruna got into an accident. The moment she opened her eyes she was in a cliched white room, There she met someone that proclaimed himself as a god. The god force her to travel to seven different worlds with choices save the world, or destroy it. Yet all the seven worlds were not as simple as she thought. A world where sword and magic are dominant, and fearsome wars between humans and devils rage throughout the land.

It was up to Haruna whether to Prevent the world from destruction or to destroy it with both of her hand.

Dusty is riding his bike to the Comic Shop with his money clinched in his sweaty palm. He parks his bike in front of the shop and walks in, he is greeted with a smile by the old man. " Why hello Dusty How are you? I just got a new selection of books last night" Said the man, Dusty replied " Hi Mr. Samuel, Sure I'll take a look". Mr. Samuel said " Dusty how many times do I have to tell you to call me Sammy? Any ways follow me I'll show you where the comics are". As Dusty followed Mr. Samuel he wondered what the shop would have looked like back in the day when people had interest in books, they came to a stop and Mr. Samuel showed Dusty the selection . " well there you go, I'll be up front if you need anything". Five minutes went by and Dusty went through almost half of the novels ,skimming the first pages to see if they are interesting. Dusty picked up a book and read the title out loud " Imaginary Demise, hmmmm
 I'll take a look", Dusty began to read the back of the cover to read a summery of the book. It was about a child who had an imaginary friend, all though he says that his friend is imaginary it doesn't look that way. Dusty liked it, took it to the front, payed, got on his bike and went home. When he got home there were two cars in the drive way which means his dad is home from work, Dusty parks his bike in the back yard and goes through the back door. " DUSTY IS THAT YOU?" His mom yells from across the kitchen, "YEA MOM"Dusty replied as he is running up stairs to read the new comic he had just bought. He reads the book until his mom calls him for dinner, than he runs down stairs and sits at the table. His mom hands him his dinner and they all sat down. "so dusty how was school today?" Said his mom "fine" replied dusty. His mom asked" did you learn anything new?" Dusty replied "nope, but guess what? I got a new book from Mr. Samuel! It's called Imaginary Demise" his mom said " cool now finish your dinner ok?". Dusty finished eating his food and went upstairs to finish reading his comic. Right before he reached the end his phone rang, dusty picked it up " hello?" A voice replied" Hey dusty it's Michael" sounding a bit relieved he replied " Hey Michael how are you? So I got this new book from Mr. Samuel, it's good! It's called Imaginary Demise, I'll bring to school tomorrow so you can borrow it" Michael said" wow really? I would love to but my family is going on vacation for a few days and I'm not gonna be able to get it tomorrow, I only live a few houses away so can I come get it real quick?" " sure thing!" Dusty said that they hung up. A few minutes later Michael came to get the book and left. Dusty went to bed unaware about what would happen the next day....
