Jim was driving the car, while John was at the passenger seat. Keira often called them shortly J & J since she was too lazy to call them by their names whenever she asked both of them about something.

"Hi dad, I did not see him around… Where is my man?" She said directly and failed to notice the man who was sitting on the sofa, drinking coffee.

"No, it's okay. I'm about to leave anyway." The man answered as he stood up.

Field Marshal Chan rose from his chair and walked to Keira, while his eyes were at the man. 

"Oh, you haven't met each other yet. This is my daughter, Keira. Dear, he is General Jeru Liu."

Keira gave him her usual smile and extended her hand, which the latter accepted.

Jeru smiled widely, he was obviously, completely smitten by Keira's beauty.

"Are you looking for someone? Maybe, I can help you and..." Jeru said. 

Keira was about to answer and mention Zach, but her father interrupted quickly.

"Oh, she's looking for her godfather Gen. Leo. I've forgotten to tell her that he is on a vacation. Both he and General Zach filed a leave, and will be back before the admission test starts." Field Marshal Chan commented, which made Keira crumple her face.

"What? How long will that take?" She blurted out.

"Probably he will return before the admission test begins, so you have to focus on your training well during this time, instead of slacking like this." Field Marshal Chan commented.

"Sir, excuse me, if I may ask what do you mean?" Jeru interrupted with a furrowed forehead.

"Oh, this stubborn daughter of mine will take the tests. She wants to enter our base." Field Marshal Chan said simply and fixed some of the documents that he was going to take home.

Jeru laughed… "Sir, your joke is too much." He said still laughing.

Keira's eyebrow arched.

"Jeru, we will go ahead first," Field Marshal Chan said. 

He quickly pulled his daughter towards the door before she started a debate with Jeru. He was sure that Gen. Liu would end up being embarrassed.

But Keira was unstoppable. 

She paused and turned her head to look at Jeru intently, with still arched eyebrow she said, "Do I look funny, Gen. Liu?"

Then, she dropped her killer smile and added, "Get used to this face because you will often see me after that admission tests. I will kick your butt while you drool..." before she said any other words, her father quickly pulled her out of the room.

Jeru was left dumbfounded…

But after a few minutes of riding, the whole area changed. 
Gone was the god-awful smell. The air was lighter and more pleasing to the nose. Like ocean and jasmine mixed. The land looked the same as any common ground, but the water and the sky. Now, that's another story. We passed by what looked like a lake and I tell you, the water had a silvery, glowy appearance to it. This one though was way better. 
The plants were green, the same as Earth, yet it still has a silvery quality to it. The trunk, the grass, the stones. Everything. I was beginning to suspect that the ground surface might have some strong silver component to it. It was truly unusual. 
And as for History? I mean, I'm an archaeologist. I study the past and so far, in my extensive collection of books and writings (and my experience) I haven't come across or even read a book that mentioned this kind of place. 
Which what leads me to my third point: the language. I am in a place where they don't even understand English and me, vice versa to them. 
I can't even understand one word they were saying but I still kept on demanding them to let me go. 
"Let me go!" I yelled at my captors again and glared at them. One man probably was done with my yelling for his head snapped at me.

I assessed the hall I was in for the second time. 
Tall arched roof, thick pillars, stained glass windows, mirror walls, humongous chandeliers, floating yellow glows that I thought only Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy could do, and an elaborate throne high up my front probably for their King to sit. 
That was enough to tell me they were waiting for someone - their King maybe - to address my, uhm, situation. 
"Duskime!" (Silence!) Once again, the man replied, glaring at me, and then returning to his original stony position. 
This time, my sanity snapped. With a huff, I decided to finally act on my crazy plan, no matter how dangerous the result may be. 
I stood up and sprinted away from them. 
It was a do or die situation. I don't think I have a better chance of leaving much less surviving if I waited for their King to interrogate me. I assume he doesn't speak English too so he'd probably lock me up or worse have my head cut off no matter how hard I try to explain. 
"Tselof!" (Stop!) Both of them shouted from behind me and then followed by their armors clanking and boots hitting the floor. 
I sprinted even more, not wanting to be caught. 
My target was the arched double doors. If luck sided me, I might not encounter any soldiers outside and escape straight ahead to wherever my feet could bring me that was safe and sound. But just as I was halfway into the portal, the heavy wood swung open showing another armor-clad man. 
There goes my luck. 
"Tselof!" (Stop!) I heard him shout. 
Frantically, I steered myself to the right, away from him and away from the two soldiers chasing me. It was the wrong decision though. 
My heart, if it was even possible, felt like it jumped out of my mouth when I clashed against one of the mirror walls. 
"Ack!"
Pain shot through my head and spine. I swore I blacked out right then. 
But you know what was surprising? 
The next thing I knew, I was back in my apartment sprawled in front of the harmless looking ancient mirror. Panting. With rounded eyes. And with the chain on my wrist dissolving into thin air. 
"What the..."
I blinked, unable to believe what just happened. 
"Oh God... A dream. It's just a...weird dream..." I assured myself with trembling breaths. 
Yeah right, I'll keep telling myself that.

Anyone who knew me knew about my cruelty on people who doesn't live up to my standard. Death is always my course of action, but on this occasion, I decided to give them a second chance. It is just an insignificant woman after all. I won't waste my men on her. 
I stood up and sneered at them. "Don't waste my time ever again."
"Ye-yes Your Highness! Thank you Your Highness!" their grateful voices echoed through my ears as I exited the back of my throne. 

"It is a waste of hardness if I'm not going to push it inside you," the King said.

Using his deft hands, he traced my waist, found the zipper of my jeans and unzipped it.  I was delirious after that.

Rebel POV

After finished Italian leader, Ryker, I marched straight to my office, on the 2nd floor. This floor contains my office and suite only, It was Evan's before, he wasn't like the idea of someone going through his business or gang's details and prefer privacy moreover. 

I open the spare door to my suite and hopped into the bathroom, turns on the water, soon the white glass sink turns red, as I wash my bloodied hands. I wash my face as well and stared at my reflection in the mirror.

I flinched because I'm can't see my face in the mirror but the face of a girl with pale skin, dark brown hairs, grey emotionless eyes I don't know this girl but I saw her running in a dark alley in my dreams so many times. I never recognized her face but the shiny thing  in her hands is known to me which she clutching in her small shake hands as panting, I can tell she's running from someone, for her dear life.

I closed my eyes shut and try to escape from one of my horrible nightmares, but no matter how many times I try it's all futile because I can't escape from the screams of that little girl still booming in my head.

'Kill them! Kill them! I want to go home... Daddy.'

And just like every other time, I feel the same craving... craving for the bloodshed, for the kill, and desperate for someone to protect me, but who? And from whom?

A man stood in the middle of my doorway, wearing black ripped jeans, a white button-up shirt, which open enough to show a glimpse of tatto from the side of his neck to his upper chest. He wore a black biker jacket, and combat brown boots to complete his fighter look.

I cleared my throat before arched my brow at him, to divert his attention from my hands. I don't have to look down to know what he was focusing on. I can feel the flow of energy passing through my body, especially in my hands. 

I know there is a tiny spark shooting from my hands, I clenched my glove tightly to prevent any more reviling of my gifts. Whenever I hurt myself badly or mostly after my outburst, it's hard to control, my powers.

"He's recruit, one of the best ring fighters as you asked, Zavier." Kyle's informed.

I nod toward the new boy before walked passed him to my office, they followed behind.

I sat on my spot on Evan's black and red leather chair behind a big black glass desk. Which's mine now with his title also.

Kyle and the new boy stood straight in the middle of the office in front of my desk.

I motioned my right-hand man to continue with the recruit's profile, whilst I am putting my blooded bruised hands in gloves, not before pull out as many as glass pieces I can without even bet my eyelash.

I know it stupid of me to put on gloves without bandaged my fresh wound and those tiny glass pieces are made it look worst.

But I don't give a damn, neither do I want to harm both of them, nor I want to expose my powers to them more than I already did accidentally which I doubt they understand. So, that's the best I can do now, precaution is better than cure right? I can't trust myself with my frustration outburst several minutes ago.

By the time Kyle finished, I grab my gun from my table's first shelf and fire two bullets in the new boy's direction.

With years of training my speed is almost abnormal, you can't even get a chance to react by the time bullet creates a hole through your heart.

"Get tortured cell cleared, and release Roman. Deliver him alive with his murderer brother's body back to his gang as a message. Take this new boy with you."

I leave my office as walking toward the training room, can't control it any longer, I need to give her what she wants, have to satisfy this craving...

The sun had risen and a few streaks of sunlight shined through the window frames into the dark house. Gu Xijiu sat in front of the dressing table and she could finally see her body clearly.
Although she was mentally prepared, she was still slightly shocked when she saw her face. The mirror on the dressing table was the only furniture that was covered with dust. Apparently, the owner of this body did not like looking at the mirror in the past.
Gu Xijiu had to wipe it several times before she was able to see herself clearly. This generation was not exactly the real ancient generation, as the mirror was not made of bronze but glass. It was no different from a modern mirror and so it could reflect the exact reality.
A palm-sized face appeared in the mirror. Its cheeks were not chubby so it made the chin look sharper. If it was purely based on facial features alone, this face could be beautiful.
The facial features consisted of a straight nose, a beautifully arched mouth and big eyes. Unfortunately, there was a big area of red rash on its forehead that destroyed its beauty. When she looked at her hands, they were thin and pale and her palms were covered with cocoons.

John Harris woke in the dark bedroom. 

His wife, apparently also awake, sat still and upright next to him. Though the bed was warm, he could feel a slightly warmer body heat emanating from Megan through her red silk negligee. 

“Megan? Are you all right, Hon?” he asked. She hadn’t woken in the middle of the night, since the breakthrough. Or if she had, John slept through it. 

Megan made a strange, hoarse noise, like clearing her throat. 

“Go back to sleep,” Megan said. 

John’s eyelids, suddenly incredibly heavy, fluttered as his body hastened to obey the psychic command which the woman next to him wasn’t even aware she’d given. 

“You sound… like… you’re getting… a cold,” he murmured as sleep claimed him. Yet even as he drifted away, impelled by an irresistible force, he realized something was wrong. 

Megan was never ill. 

Carefully, slowly, Megan lifted the covers and stepped out of the bed. She padded noiselessly through the open door into the night light-lit bathroom. Closing the door, she turned on the light and inspected herself in the wall-length mirror above the long counter and its two white porcelain sinks. 

She caught her breath just a bit at her appearance as she raised a slim, semi-long-nailed hand to the thick and glossy but short, sleep-rumpled black hair. It framed well her patrician face, the big brown eyes under arched brows, the straight nose, full lips, and strong, rounded chin. 

She saw the hairbrush in its holder by the counter, and reached for it, but then hesitated and withdrew her hand. The brush wobbled in the holder for just a second. Then it rose into the air and drifted into Megan’s waiting hand. 

 
 

Her eyes on her mirror reflection, the red silk-clad woman brushed her hair, slowly. She released the brush. It continued its work without her guiding hand; short slow strokes restoring some order to the black, tousled hair. 

She looked upward to where she knew a tiny web-camera recorded the scene. 

“Edward,” she breathed. “Do you see? We have done it!” 

She nodded in the direction of the brush-holder on the counter. Obediently, the brush left off its stroking, flew back to the holder and settled itself in. 

“No need to be sloppy with your things,” she said to someone who appeared not present. 

She seemed to listen for a moment, then she laughed softly. 

“But I will do as I please with him,” she said. 

She looked again at her reflection, then down at her own red silk-clad body, as if to confirm what she saw in the mirror. The negligee fit her loosely, v-necked, with three-quarter sleeves and dropping midway down her bare thighs. 

She noted Megan’s pink toenails with amusement. 

Melnikova, in total control of the body and abilities of Megan Harris, stepped out of the bathroom. A helpless prisoner in a remote corner of her own mind, yet one who could clearly see, hear and feel, Megan screamed, wept and fought. Silently. Uselessly. Helplessly. 

Please don’t hurt my husband, she begged. 

“Husband,” said Melnikova in Megan’s voice. “Awake!”
