If you make it short, you basically get the answer that every story with a certain amount of words (4000), that editors need to check your story out, your story also automatically can't get Power Stones if you use Chinese or Japanese letters, Unicode and or formatting. If you wonder why Chinese or Japanese letters make your story blacklisted, it's because Webnovel is an international website, meaning it promotes the use of English. You are supposed to keep the exchange of words with another language to a minimum. If you go to the forum and go to guidelines its literally the first thing that appears. The rest of the guidelines are obvious and basic. Like, no spam, no excessive swearing and don't share personal info. It's nice that it says excessive swearing though, so I assume you can somewhat swear.
I wonder why so many people read System novels, I mean, I know why, but why do people continue reading the bad ones? I mean those with grammar mistakes where it's obvious the author didn't even check twice. I mean, I don't do that, but I write with a grammar checker so I check the important parts twice. I like System Novels.
I personally find those reincarnated as a monster or vending machine or similar stories nice, they are mostly comedic and funny till they stretch to chapter 300 so they can actually make money of them. Though typical reincarnation stuff is funny too, or if you go for grimdark reincarnation which most don't for some reason, really gritty. Like, the dude just reincarnated, maybe gender swapped, got kidnapped or is a slave, tries to escape, gets tortured, works till he gets a chance to escape, escapes, finds that everything outside is even worse or builds a life as a mercenary.
I think I'm gonna change how I write this novel, instead of checking the word amount every few minutes, I'm simply gonna start writing and stop when I lose inspiration and don't have anything to write about, seeing as I unconsciously write either more or less depending on the amount of words.
I always wonder why the word alway doesn't get used anymore except in more archaic text. I recognize that it sounds wrong and everything, but that doesn't really make it that bad, if people used it actively then, after a year or two, I am quite sure we would start simply taking it, not questioning it.
Some of you might wonder why I use commas at every opportunity. You might also wonder why I always write about the fact that I use commas. The answer to the first one is pretty simple, its because I find text blocks without commas ugly and short lines of words with giant spaces even more ugly. I also use commas whenever I think that my mind makes a pause, for example now. The second question is even more simple. I always write about the fact that I use commas because I really like commas, they, along with dots are the most important parts in stories in my opinion.
When I was first writing a story, I was getting a prompt about setting a writing challenge, I wonder how you can get to set the goal on purpose. 
Anyways, I read my 1000 word stuff here and recognize that some of it reads really awkward and some text-blocks really nice. I also noticed that most of my 1000 word chapters feel kinda short, which, like I said in day 2, is, because normally chapters have 1500 to 6000 words, with most having 2500 words.
I have found a new visual software to enhance the looks of my games, but because I don't know how to really use it, it mostly makes it look bad, except for the sharpening parts. The name is ReShade. Its like ENB.
I sometimes forget to use prepositions for some reason, which might be because I don't read a lot of professional stuff and the professional stuff I read is in another language. I do read a lot of casual stuff and fanfiction which is why my way of writing feels weird sometimes.
I have been hearing the same song for the 10 minutes I was writing now. 
799 words were reached in 10 minutes, which is faster than before, so my writing speed improved. Also, my ability to concentrate somewhat improved.
I have no real reason to write, except for the fun, and to improve my linguistic skills. I also want to improve my vocabulary, though I read the wrong books for that and rarely get a new word. I did learn a new word today: purple prose, something ornate.
I take internet privacy real serious.
Yesterday 3,2 billion accounts on google got leaked, so I'm just gonna check if my data got leaked.
Apparently not, I checked via haveibeenpwned, which is a pretty nice website, at least to check if your data got leaked.
I have now written 918 words and lost most of my inspiration, I interrupted my game to be able to write this.
The time zone Webnovel uses is 7 hours after mine, so if something appears a few hours after the new day starts, its because of that. I will add something in the beginning and end should I fail the challenge. I would also edit the description of this novel.

Chapter 4. Essay competition (2)

On Friday, everyone in the school was more excited than usual. It wasn't just one class but the whole school was excited about the idea to leave early.

There were many students who had already made plans to go to karaoke or a movie with their friends. Several couples had also made plans to go on dates.

It was like nobody cared about the essay competition. It was just a trivial matter for them.

"It looks like winning would be easy."

Kei said to Ren while standing besides him.

"It looks like you have prepared hard for the contest."

"Yeah, I am reading and writing different types of essays for a week now."

Kei said looking a little proud of himself.

"Why are even giving this much value to a essay competition?"

"I told you right, I just wanted to give writing a chance."

"Do you really think you can win this competition?"

"I don't know. I will only know after the competition."

Kei said as he indulged himself in a book. It was a light novel to be exact.

He glanced around at the classroom only to notice that excluding him, all the classmates were writing. Even Kei was writing something.

Some students were also whispering among themselves asking each other what they are going to write about. Shiki sensei didn't say anything to their behaviour.

He wasn't known for being strict in the first place, so he just let them do it.

Ren glanced around at his paper trying to find a topic he wanted to write about. As he was searching for a topic, he vision got struck on a topic at the very corner of the paper.

'Genius.'

It was a topic that didn't stand out much and Ren knew that many people will not write about this topic.

But Ren felt a connection to this word. It was a word that was stuck closely to his previous life.

Thinking about that word, Ren had a sudden impulse to write. It was a entirely different feeling. At first, he didn't take the competition seriously but now he just wanted to write.

"Ha….here."

Ren stood up as he hastily gave his paper to Shiki sensei. He didn't wanted to submit his paper as he had not completed it but he had no choice as the time was finished.

As soon as Ren submitted his paper, Shiki sensei left the classroom with the same stack of papers he had entered the classroom with, the only difference was that this time the papers were filled with words.

"Did your essay went well?"

Kei asked him as he came close to him.

"I don't know how it went but I wrote with my heart."

"My essay also went well. I am just worried about it's ending. I don't have enough time to complete it."

"What did you write about?"

"Oh, I wrote about dreams."

Ren didn't remember about that topic but there were a lot of topics and he didn't remember all of them.

"You unexpectedly stayed till the end, huh."

"What do you mean?" Ren asked confusingly.

"I mean, I thought you will just write something half-assed and left like the other students and I will be the only one left till the end."

"Well, I just wrote what came to my mind and you know, there is another person who stayed till the end."

Ren said as he glanced at the other boy who stayed till the end.

"Ah, that's Minami Ryuu."

"You know about him."

Kei looked at Ren with a confused expression as he said.

"How can you not know about him when you are in the same class and he is also very popular."

"Popular? Is he famous."

"Famous? That word isn't enough to describe him. He is super famous. He is handsome, his grades are one of the top and he always excels at sports. He is one of the most famous student in the school."

"Really?"

Ren again glanced at Minami who was packing his bag and preparing to leave.

I still couldn't believe that I would get to drink water in a deserted place like this. But it was real, I even had the empty bottle and the hamburger's cardboard with me.
I was desperate so I tried writing my favorite food in the sand and in the next moment, it appeared. Not to mention I had a painful headache after I did so.
Now the real question is, how and why did those things appear in front of me? And what's more, appearing after I wrote down those words...
They also had the shape and the taste I wanted.

I also was thinking about the source of this power for example. What does this power require to use?
Does it consume my soul?
Does it make me feel pain each time I use it? Will it make me blind? And so on...
But I found the answer the moment I started walking.
This power requires my stamina.
After using this power like that, I could feel as my body felt several times tired than before. At first, I found it weird but then I realized the real reason when I recalled one of the novels that I used to read.
Based on the title the character holds, "Magician" or "Swordsman" they both require mental energy or stamina to use.
So I thought, maybe it's the same thing for my power as well, even if my title is an "Author".
Another thing that I was wondering was, why wasn't my title a "Heroe" just like everyone?
What caused me to have a different title than the other classmates. What were the chances of another classmate having a different title other than "Heroe"?

Yuri curled her hand into a fist and slowly reached for the door in front of her. As her hand gravitated to the divider between rooms and hallways, she couldn't help but stop herself, resulting in her arm snapping back to her side.

Yuri started to turn away to leave, until a familiar voice caused her to freeze in place.
"Yuri?" she heard the voice say.
The surprised maiden turned around and felt embarrassed that Shujinkou caught her in the middle of leaving.
"Ah, h-hello," Yuri shyly greeted, tightly clutching the book between her arms.
"What are you doing here, Yuri?" Shujinkou asked.
"Ah…" Yuri closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The answer was in her head, all she needed was to find a way to get it out. After spending two minutes in complete silence, Yuri opened her eyes and clutched the book she was holding even harder. "I was wondering if you could look at something for me."
Shujinkou's curious gaze caused her to turn away.
"Look at what?" Shujinkou asked.
"This…" Slowly and reluctantly, Yuri started to hand her book over to Shujinkou, but the moment he reached for it, Yuri instinctively pulled it back towards her chest.
Embarrassed by her response, Yuri turned away once more and clutched the book even tighter than before.
"Sorry…" Yuri apologized. "It's just that… I never did this before."
From the corner of her eye, she noticed Shujinkou quietly scratch his right cheek. After another moment of silence, he extended his left arm to her. Yuri simply stared at his outstretched arm and once again tried to force herself to hand the book to him. After many constant pauses, the book finally reached his hand, which he happily accepted.
She watched him open the book and felt slightly worried when his eyes lit up with surprise.
"I was wondering if I could get your opinion on what lies inside," Yuri requested.

"Even so, I would still appreciate your input anyway," Yuri replied. "Plus, maybe reading the writing of another high school writer could help you with your writing anxiety."
"Writing anxiety?" the perplexed Shujinkou repeated.
"It's one of the things that can affect new writers," Yuri answered.
"Oh," Shujinkou opened the door to his room and walked inside.
Without saying a word, Yuri followed him inside and the two casually sat along the side of the bed. Once settled, Shujinkou got to work reading as per Yuri's request.
"Ah…" Yuri accidently said aloud.

"N-Nothing…" she stammered. "It's just that I never seen you look so focused before."
"Oh," Shujinkou turned his attention back to the book and continued reading from where he left off.
As he continued to read her work, Yuri closed her eyes and remembered the last time she seen that expression when it came to her writing.
1 year ago after school, the young writer was in the middle of finishing off her assignment. As she neared the end, she couldn't help but worry what he would think about or whether or not she was able to complete the task that was given to her. 
Once finished, Yuri nervously approached the teacher's desk and handed her poem to its owner. 
"So, how is it?" Yuri asked.
The timid maiden continued to watch her teacher read her poem as he scratched his left cheek. Once done, Akuma carefully placed her poem down on the desk and grinned.

"I think you finally established your own writing style too," Akuma added. "You're finally ready for the big assignments."
"You really think that I'm ready for those?" Yuri asked.
"Mm-hmm," Akuma nodded. "But if by some crazy chance you actually need any help; remember that my door is open anytime."
"I will," Yuri replied. 
Those happy times were also bitter moments to look back on. So bitter in fact that anything that can keep her from thinking about them was welcomed. Her wish soon came true as she noticed Shujinkou close her book and sigh.
"Was it that bad?" Yuri worriedly asked.
"Huh? No, it wasn't bad. It was just a really crazy experience," Shujinkou replied.
"Crazy?" Yuri repeated, still wearing her trademark expression.
"I meant that I felt like I was in the protagonist shoes," Shujinkou explained.
"Oh, that's good," Yuri breathed a sigh of relief. "That's what I was going for. It's a tough task to balance giving the protagonist character while making them identifiable enough with the reader, but the results are well worth it."
"The writing itself also got me thinking and determined not to miss anything," Shujinkou added. "Plus, you did a good job at convincing me to keep reading. Overall, it was a very interesting first chapter."
"Hm… Well, thank you for your input," Yuri happily replied.
"No problem," Shujinkou stretched his arms and let out another sigh. "But man, I don't think I'll be able to write that well."
"Sorry! I didn't mean to discourage you!" Yuri apologized. "I was just trying to show you what a new writer can become as long as they practiced hard enough."
"But what can I do when I can't even get past the first word?" Shujinkou wondered aloud.
"Well…" Yuri closed her eyes and contemplated his question. "When you try to write, do you dive in head first?"
"Yeah…" Shujinkou answered.
"Well, not everyone can do that. Especially at their first attempt," said Yuri. "It can put too much pressure on oneself. Sometimes the first thing you should do is to write down every scene idea in your head. You should also make sure your character's motivation and goals mesh with whatever plot or themes you want to implement so it can complement their growth. From there you can start putting your story together."
"That… sounds so simple," Shujinkou answered, unable to hide his astonishment.
"It is, but it's also a crucial step that most new writers tend to skip," Yuri replied.
"Once again, I have not given writers as much credit as they deserve," Shujinkou chuckled. "Thanks for the advice, Yuri."
"No problem," Yuri brightly smiled. "If you need any more help, I'd be happy to help."
"I'll be sure to take you up on that offer," Shujinkou grinned.
Yuri breathed a sigh of relief and caught a glimpse of the clock mounted to his hotel wall.
"Ah, I guess it's time for me to turn in," she solemnly stated.
She didn't really want to leave but she was proud of herself for offering advice to someone in need. She also felt proud that she was able to find the strength to ask Shujinkou for his own critique. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it in the end.
Accepting her story back from Shujinkou, the happy maiden sat up and made her way to the hotel door. As she opened the door, she nervously looked back and locked eyes with Shujinkou.
"'Kept you waiting, huh?'" she quoted.
"What?!" Shujinkou exclaimed.
"I kinda did some research into Big Boss and learned a little bit about the series he originated from," Yuri said. "That way we could talk about something that interested you instead of my own all the time."
"That's…" Shujinkou scratched his right cheek before a smile appeared on his face. "Thanks, Yuri."
"Mm-hmm," Yuri smiled back. "Well... good night."
"Night," Shujinkou replied.

Shujinkou is your average high schooler. When he isn't indulging in manga or video games, he's usually loses himself to scenarios in his head. That's how he figured he spend the rest of his high school life until a request from childhood friend, Sayori, changes his life forever. Can Shujinkou cope with being pushed out of his comfort zone and adjust to life in the Literature Club?

To my dear readers. 
As you all may have noticed, it has been a while since I last posted a chapter and I know you are all waiting with baited breath for the next one. So, what I want to tell you here today, is that I had to take some time off from writing. The reason for that is because during writing the last chapter, I felt like I had to push myself to write and complete it, which is not the reason why I had started to write this fanfic. I started to write this fanfic because I like writing an AU ATG fanfic where the MC is not a total fuck up that abandons his wives and goes on another adventure, that will end up causing everyone around him to suffer for his fuck ups. But recently, I started to feel drained. It was like, all the energy I had in my body to continue writing was just gone. So, instead of pushing myself to continue writing and accumulating stress, I had decided to take some time off and... recharge my writing batteries, so to speak. I have been using this time to take it easy, read other stories for some possible inspiration and come back into the writing game completely refreshed. 

I have been reading many other fanfics and I thought, maybe I can write a 2nd fanfic, alongside my 1st. It will be a.... <pause for dramatic effect and dramatic build up music> One Piece Fanfic.

{Author's dark subconscious: "Jeez, what a surprise. Another One Piece fanfic. Yours is just another one of the millions of other One Piece fanfics. But hey, you just do you and continue being an unoriginal hack"}

[Author's optimistic writers will: "No you shut up! Dark subconscious! It's all because of you that we have been suffering from this writers stress, so you shut your filthy whore mouth and let our revered writer continue on like he has been! Anyways, writer. Don't listen to that bastard and continue on writing whatever you want. Even if it is just millions of chapters with nothing but the word 'crap' in it. People will still like it either way. And don't listen to the naysayers. Author's optimistic writers will, OUT! (SFX: Micdrop)]


Ahem!...Ahem!... Anyways... In conclusion, I have been taking a little time off, but I will return next week. I think next Tuesday, and I will post the next chapter of Mesa Uchiha being awesome in the ATG world, bitchslapping arrogant little young master pricks and banging his harem of beautiful girls.
