This story is about an average high school boy with an average lifestyle who likes to read novels especially fantasy ones and was transferred to another world along with his classmates from his school.

As they were transferred our protagonist, John Kaiser, was the sole student among his classmates who were left behind, leaving him all alone in their classroom.

As he was wondering what happened to the others, he remembered one of the novels he had read. It was a story of a fantasy world, where a king of a human kingdom summons heroes from another world to save their world from the demon king, a typical Isekai (Another World)  fantasy novel.

Our protagonist, John Kaiser, started to contemplate and question 'why?' why was he the only one not summoned?

And as his questions go crazy, a light emerges from the place where he was sitting.

Is this the start of our protagonist's fantasy adventure as a hero? Or will he live the same life again as an average person even in another world?

Origin -the starting point for one's existence or in other words the one even though there are people in Nasuverse that has multiple origin or even just one it just makes it more specialized or versatile to apply your element thus it is where the concept you utilize like but in my opinion using Shirou as the example Sword it just generalized the point of his magecraft which is to create weapons even though it will be easier with swords


Element- the path which you walk towards the origin or in other words how you give shape or apply your origin even though there is the five great elements and something else as you all know like origin someone and what commonly decides what magecraft you use in conjunction with your origin may have one or many like in Shirou and Rin representing my point but in my opinion it is more on applications or practicality  for your magecraft rather than concept which falls under origin which is more focused on the theoretical aspect so when you are an incarceration its effect is amplified because it is a straight line rather than having to adjust to accommodate the origin which may is exceptionally well shown in Archer and Shirou as it caused them to have a reality marble easier than normal (because there are cases it is not the case as not all who have a reality marble is an incarnation) break through the normal limits of structural analysis, projection, reinforcement and alternation but being more rigid on what magecraft they can use as opposed to Rin who have a more versatile element so she can use other magecrafts like finn shot, Gandr, and jewel craft


Incarnation- those with the same origin and element or in other words a perfect example of duality   like how another concept give rise to one another as it pertains to the state which the origin which is the concept or theoretical aspect  of your magecraft and the element which is the application or the practical aspect of your magecraft perfectly match resulting in a perfect foundation to develop a reality marble such as Archer and Shirou but not necessarily the requirement to have one as it is like a puzzle matching with two pieces which is the origin and element


For his origin and element I  decided to go with the word concept which is a very powerful and flexible word thus allowing me to make my character a more philosophical character like concept is a very vague word depending on how define it which is basically like the word origin in nasuverse and the same pretty much applies to the word concept when you applying it with an object or action so it it is basically allows me to create a interesting perception on nasuverse which also answers why I make him an incarnation to the answer the question why which is the origin and answer the question how which is the element making him an incarnation allows me to make him the embodiment of what kind of character I want to create which is a philosophical and observant  character

Du Lang spent all of the day learning the fundamentals of building a <Freeform> curse model from Sibyl. For a whole twenty-four hours, he was coached by the cold and detached Sibyl in not the fundamentals of constructing curse models, but the fundamentals of the fundamentals.
He was apparently too stupid to "plug and play" with the divine work of his predecessor, who had spent a hundred years fine-tuning and optimizing the process…
"From today onwards, I, Du Lang, am a changed man!"

Du Lang could only make the proclamation with tears streaming down his cheeks and his heart bursting with agony. As he stood besides the bedroom door, the remnants of his lashed dignity crumbled into innumerable specks of dust.
There was a certain limit of verbal abuse and doubts towards a man's intelligence that could be tolerated.
"Sibyl, why is making a <Freeform> curse model so f*cking difficult?"

His predecessor had done so much to streamline the entire process to the extent that all that was necessary from Du Lang was to define three fundamental properties to create a <Basic Freeform> curse model. Unlike many mathematical functions or computer programs, constructing a curse model hardly required any inputs or initial conditions – conditions that Du Lang needed to configure by himself. The <Master of Curses> constructed by Er Gouming had settled the requisite processing of such conditions and delegated them to Sibyl, hence all Du Lang had to focus on was the process of the curse itself and its effects.
Well, those were also fundamentally simple. As long as they weren't human or utilized something as mind-boggling and unnecessarily complex as human language.
Activating a curse model as well as creating one required the mastery and knowledge of words. Sibyl had mentioned it specifically to Du Lang since the first time he was aware of its presence.
Words, words, words.
The formulation of a curse model referred to the background processes that formulated its intended purpose, and Du Lang's contribution was to hard code his intentions into simplistic definitions that Sibyl could utilize to perform the remaining calculations. There wasn't any complex calculations or formulations that he had to do – which was a major relief – but Du Lang's brain felt cramped at the still overwhelming task before him.
The 'cache data' was wiped when Sibyl transferred from his predecessor to his own body and soul, hence Du Lang had to provide the missing definitions prior to attaining the ability to tinker with any curse models. It was still a simple and straightforward task, as Sibyl required him to define… just about every word utilized in human language from the beginnings of civilization to the present.
There was an additional and critical requirement, and one that truly caused his soul to fall apart in frustration.
He had to break down the concepts he presented into the fundamental ideas and definitions, yet retain uniqueness. Technically, he could utilize predecessor Er Gouming's <Freeform> curse model creation process at this moment, but without any tools or special implementations – the finished products couldn't achieve anything.
And dictionaries were the bane of his existence. Perhaps… Du Lang could think of a great example.
Contempt. As many dictionaries so generously provided, it was the feeling that some person or object was beneath consideration, held no significant value, or deserving of scorn. But what did it mean to hold a feeling? What did it mean when some object or person was beneath consideration – how was that different from disregard?
Du Lang wanted to protest, but Sibyl was unwilling to tolerate even a single mishap or overlap in the provided definitions. The cold female secretary lashed and whipped his soul with the imbibed words of disappointment and shattered expectations should he fail or stumble over the definition of a word, and Du Lang had absolutely no opportunity to escape.
And not to mention that it's most similar counterpart was the word scorn, which its definition… was the feeling that some person or object was worthless or despicable, or the feeling of contempt. He could differentiate between the two words as the definition of 'scorn' included the word 'despicable', but now he had to start the same process centered around the word 'despicable'…

"S…Sibyl, I surrender. No more words – I want an alternative!"
Six hours into the desperate struggle with the few dictionaries in his home and the great and domineering reserve of information that was Baidu, Du Lang waved the white flag. He flopped facedown on the couch, and buried his head into the corner of the fabric that once sheltered six years of his sad hopes and dreams.

With his dismal undergraduate certificate proclaiming him to be capable of aerospace engineering, Du Lang gouged open a second front in his war against Sibyl's disdain.
Since words wouldn't get him anywhere, he would utilize math and physics.
If Sibyl rejected Euclidean geometry, he would present differential geometry. Riemannian geometry, Finsler geometry, contact geometry and symplectic geometry – the power of manifolds couldn't be underestimated!
If even that didn't work, he would bombard it with the Poincare conjecture and Ricci flow. For final measure, he would smash Sibyl apart with differential flow tensors and quantum gravitation…
Oh, hold on a minute…

The floating black sphere had sifted through all of the documents that Du Lang had presented before he could even reach to open the drawer. Du Lang stood in place as with tears streaming down his cheeks and his countenance warped in laughter, not knowing how to respond.
Mathematics and physics were incompatible? The great mathematical system that represented all of humanity's achievements in the past, present, and future – was incompatible with Sibyl?
"How are mathematics and physics incompatible? What do you seek, then?"

Though it is certainly possible to utilize the human mathematical system and the physics as the framework for the host's framework, it will be vulnerable to the most basic of argumentation. "Then what do they rely on? Imagination?" Du Lang furrowed his brows.
"How many human hosts are there, then?"

3% of active hosts of Sibyl were human… that seemed somewhat reasonable, if Sibyl was supposed to be the omnipotent observer. Perhaps there weren't that many planets or worlds where the human race were dominant…
On this planet? 3%??
"Oh. I can't give anything else. Do you have something then, Sibyl?"
The female voice uttered the first human-like sigh Du Lang had ever heard from the floating black sphere. He could only watch on as the black sphere deftly evaded his sight and blindsided his perception, and the cold, female voice had dropped several degrees in temperature.
[Reconfiguring. <Basic> knowledge framework shall be displayed. Continue?]
"Continue."
Du Lang confidently beckoned with an invigorated smile on his countenance, and planted himself securely on the couch. He closed his eyes as instructed, waited an agonizingly long three minutes and fifteen seconds, and opened his eyes at Sibyl's command.
"So… All I need to do is to close my eyes, you say?"
As if replicating the insane and incredibly tantalizing dream of AR overlays that were boasted in mainstream science fiction dramas, movies, and games, Du Lang saw horizontal lines of text scrawl from one end of his vision to another. The crisp characters dazzled his eyes as they rotated, sheared, and expanded in all regions of his vision, before proceeding to explode into a myriad of lights.
The specks of lights screaming past his gaze were of different colors, forming a bizarre sea of vibrance and hues that threatened to overwhelm his mind. Du Lang struggled to keep his eyes open as the infinitesimal spheres of light soared in and out of his vision with immense velocity, and each traversing line began to whisper in his ears, delivering unintelligible information at incredible speed and depth.
"Is this a supernova… wait! This is too much!" Du Lang wailed, and clutched at his head to curb the pain.
"My head, my head! Sibyl, stop – too much!"
[Progress halted. 0.00004% of initial data has been decompiled. Data simplification filter of 200,000X has been applied. Host, the requirement to advance to Intermediate <Freeform> Privilege has increased to 10 independent curse models.]
The secretarial voice was disgruntled and mired with immense disappointment, but quickly halted the bizarre streams of indomitable light. The searing pain in Du Lang's head gradually subsided after thirty minutes, and he gasped for the sweet breath of air.
"No human could comprehend such information – that's overkill!" Du Lang complained with thick rivers of sweat drenching his back and neck.
"How is that a <Basic> knowledge framework!? Not even the most advanced of supercomputers could achieve such processing speeds… wait."
His eyes had finally recovered from their free tour of witnessing the birth of a celestial nebula, and the interestingly familiar string of Western text and symbols caused his lips to twitch. Du Lang gave a hard stare for a few seconds, and began to tremble.
This… this syntax and style of writing… it was nothing but the ever-so-faithful nightmare that was the Java programming language, no?
He had paid the penalty to doubling his promotion requirements by springboarding from the human language, mathematics, and a celestial supernova to every engineering student's worst nightmare, Java…
Could he cry now?

"My grace, I surrender to thee this musical instrument of mythical quality." Arthur sacrificed the staff that he looted from the zombie general to Aiode. Since he was not able to utilize it himself, perhaps he would be able to find an alternative use for it by sacrificing it to his patroness. 
Soon, the goddess' voice appeared in Arthur's headspace. "Interesting, this should be the Bell of Hailing Soul. It's a ceremonial instrument commonly used in Daoist practice to summon the souls of the dearly departed back to the world of the living."
This was not the first time Arthur had heard the goddess but even so, he still had problem getting used to the power inherent in her voice. This was amplified by the fact that sea of voices that surrounded Arthur rock and boil with the cadence of her every word. Aoide's voice was moving the very structure of the Voice Library. 
The content of Aoide's words was actually lost on Arthur. The young man was not familiar with culture that was beyond his own. Daoist was a term that he had heard for the first time in his life. Based on the context, it sounded like a type of religion. In any case, Arthur felt generally happy because from the sound it, the goddess was interested in his humble sacrifice. 
However, what the goddess said next stopped his good feeling right in its track. "Unfortunately, even though the bells are of mythical quality, they come in sets and this is not the first one in my private collection." A trace of dissatisfaction was laced through her voice. 
This worried the young man. He was familiar with the divine's capricious nature. They could smile at one moment and turn angry the next. Perhaps the goddess might punish him for wasting her time, summoning her to sacrifice something that she already had. Divine punishment was not something that could be bore by anyone. 
"However, let it be known that I am a person of my word. Since I've promised to reward you, my disciple, for the sacrifice of musical instruments so it shall be done. Hard work shall always be rewarded. Furthermore, there are many musical instruments of similar nature in this world. If you have to avoid repetition, not much sacrifice can be made." 
Arthur was surprised that the goddess was showing such a degree of understanding. He was lucky to have found her in a good mood. She could be cruel or kind without any sense of reason, after all, divine behavior could not be perceived via human comprehension. 
"Since this is the first time this has happened, I shall heed my promise and reward you with a new power to utilize the Magic of Voice. However, if this happens again, things shall be different." 
Hearing everything that was said by Aoide, Arthur only had one question on his mind. "My grace, if my future sacrifice happens to be yet another repetition, will there still be a reward?" 
The goddess only mentioned that 'things shall be different', she did not specify how it would be different. Maybe she might punish Arthur for sacrificing to her repeated items. Therefore, the young man asked for specification. 
"Of course, it shall be a reward." After a moment's pause, the sweet voice asked in a dark tone, "My disciple, do you suspect that I will maltreat your hard work? Do you have such little faith in your patron?" 
"Of course not! I'm just asking for clarification," Arthur quickly explained. 
There was a silvery laugh that followed Arthur's answer. The young man had no way of telling whether that meant the goddess was joking with him or there was other meaning. It was already difficult for Arthur to read a mortal woman's mind, to have him read the mind of a goddess, that was simply impossible. 
Arthur could only take what Aoide said at face value and placed his trust in her. 
"Enjoy your new power and spread the glory of thy voice…" Aoide disappeared and Arthur found himself alone at the Voice Library. 
Arthur did some self-reflection and he had a feeling that he was swindled by Aoide. It was not even his fault that the goddess already possessed the bell in her collection. There was no way he would have known something like that. 
Instead of a guaranteed new power, now he would get something else when he sacrificed a musical instrument that happened to be of similar nature to the items in his patroness' collection. Of course, there was a chance that the something else would be better than a new power but Arthur seriously doubted it. In any case, he would need to find such a musical instrument before he could tell for sure. 
At the end of the day, Arthur would still benefit from his discipleship to Aoide. He only stood to gain. He would still get stronger from his devotion to Aoide but perhaps the rate of growth would be slower compared to before. That was ultimately not that bad of a deal. 
Taking comfort in that fact, Arthur turned to focus on his brand new power.

Arthur was in a gleeful mood after he read the description. This was a very useful power. He could already think of many useful ways he could make use of this skill in combat.
Arthur eventually exited the Voice Library and when the young man opened his eyes, he was surprised by the discovery that he chanced upon before him.

Due to his lack of proficiency at both sword and magic, Arthur was underestimated and mocked. All Arthur had going for him was his affinity for picking up voices but that was practically useless when it did not translate into magical talent. 

However, everything changed when the young man met his patron in Aoide, the Goddess of Song and Voice. 

With the blessing from Aoide, Arthur finally started his journey of adventuring with a form of magic that was unique to his own, the Voice Magic. 

To those who needed his help, Arthur would lend them his voice and to those who underestimated him, Arthur would show them that even the smallest voice could move the world.

"I do not know if the other nations have some knowledge of it.. but that simply says we have just unearthed the first written piece of history from the Blank Century.."

Standing in attention behind their quirky cherry blossom-headed teacher, Seijurou, Chizuru and Jax shot chiming glances at each other as if they just fulfilled a very important mission for the country, which they actually did. 

Hayama Akira, who was leaning against the wall cross-armed behind the shogun's desk, nodded with a faint smirk at his students to commend them for their recent actions.

However, even if his face was fully concealed by his glinting golden kabuto, the way Kaishin exhaled through his mask simply indicated that there was still much to be done regarding the issue at hand. 

"The facts stated by the ancient text may have solved a number of issues in relation to our government's treatment of the Orcs. Not to mention.. this piece of history is a reason for us Jihonians to be proud of, being the first to uncover a Blank Century written document..", remarked the shogun with some fatigue in his voice. 

"However..", Kaishin continued, trying to keep his voice as calm as possible. "I still don't see the reason how this is related to the quest I've given you, little Seijurou. If I remember it correctly.. I sent you to retrieve the 'Log Panel'. Where is it?"

Seijurou looked at Chizuru, who smiled worriedly but reassuringly at him, before taking a step forward to state his case. He then placed a document with his and Kyouka's scribbles on it on the nation's leader's table.

"With all due respect, shogun-sama. Our team had to deal with a number of issues during the quest before arriving at a conclusion..", Seijurou began his explanation as he gestured at the writing he just presented. "And.. as this document states.. we still have to deal with more issues before we arrive at that same conclusion. The 'Log Panel' isn't there, sir.. only another clue of its whereabouts like in Minami.."

Kaishin held the piece of paper up and began reading to comprehend more of what the boy was trying to present to him. "I see.. and it seems this 'Log Panel' quest only leads us to another location that points to another.. but I believe this is a little bit more precise than the one in Minami. So.. care to explain?"

"As you can see, shogun-sama.. I've encircled this word, which seems to repeat itself throughout the entire text..", interrupted Kyouka suddenly as she pointed what she was pertaining to with a finger. 

'She really is a quirky one.. the shogun was asking Seijurou..', thought Chizuru with an awkward smile before glancing at Jax, who was staring at Kyouka's behind with a bashful expression. 'And this one really is a closet pervert..'

"It's the word 'blessing'..", continued Kyouka. "In fact.. it was the key word we got from the Blade of Erymanthos' enchantment's incantation text, which allowed me to interpret the entire text."

"And what of this word, Atarashi Kyouka-sensei?..", inquired Kaishin.

"The characters used to make this word in this form of ancient writing also translate to two other words.. 'Grace' and 'Fire'.."

"Based on the findings of your study..", uttered the shogun. "You're telling me that the first century Elves were hell bent on passing this 'fire' but only to the worthy? How? And why?"

"Through a trial..", it was Seijurou's turn to interrupt. "We believe it was their way to know who was worthy to receive their blessing, grace or fire, shogun-sama. The author of this text is saying that they were desperately trying to set a trial up for the generations to come."

Jax shook his head in awe after seeing his teammate take action. 'I don't know if he's socially awkward or not.. but that otaku's got guts for speaking to the shogun like that..'

"What trial did they make?..", asked Kaishin. "And for what purpose?"

Seijurou glanced at his best friend with a smile before he answered. "They unleashed a destructively magical beast called Erymanthos.. and whoever slays him.. receives the blessing.. one of the many needed to reach the 'Log Panel'.."

The great leader of the Jihonian Shogunate suddenly found himself sitting upright upon being astounded by the boy's words. "I'll be damned.. very well said. So.. the 'Log Panel' requires more of these tests? It must be one overly powerful artifact to say the least. Does it say where to go next?"

"The 'Elder Folk' tend to speak in riddles to test the strength of the mind of those who undergo the trial..", stated Kyouka as she began referring to her scribbles again. "The last time there were specific coordinates hidden from plain view.. but this one.. requires some wordplay.."

The incantations specialist began to write different ancient characters on a piece of paper. Using doodles and arrows, she showed the shogun the different combinations of words that make up almost the same meaning.

"The second most prevalent word is 'trial'..", uttered Kyouka while pointing to the written version. "Using ancient text.. it can also mean 'baptism'. If we utilize another combination.. 'Trial to gain the Blessing'.. also literally means, 'Baptism by way of Fire'. With that.. I firmly believe where the next lead is."

"The church..", said the shogun as he smiled under his mask. 

Kyouka stood up straight with a smug look on her face. "Precisely.."

Hayama suddenly stepped forward to face his superior. "The 'Holy Pontiff' isn't going to be pleased with this one especially that the government has an ongoing moral dispute with the church, Kaishin-shogun.. but maybe we can go through the bishop first. Your orders?"

Quite simple to say the least in truth, do not deplete health points, avoid draining stamina points, and use magic points wisely. 

However, Erida Seijurou is a geek born in this kind of world, meaning he plays video games, reads light novels and manga, and watches anime series in this same world. His willingness to put himself on the line to improve battle skills, cast magical spells, and form parties, like the ones in role playing games, is close to none. 

Thinking of himself as an irrelevant speck to everything, and thinking of everything as irrelevant to his illusory high and mighty self, what could Seijurou possibly do if the truth of the world he lives in begins to become more relevant and threatens the very lives of the ones closest to him? 

"That was one long sentence..", Seijurou thought as he realized how much of a drag just to read through it.

Probably because they wanted to compete with 'Stupid', 'Devil Shooter' decided to use the same marketing tactic as Hai Rui and host pre-screenings on the same day but at a different theatre chain. They tried to latch onto Hai Rui so they could use them as a stepping stone to improve their own reputation and status in the domestic market.
After all, it wasn't everyday that Hai Rui would release a rubbish film!
"Which agency produced 'Devil Shooter'? How could they be so shameless?" Long Jie phoned Tangning on the eve of 'Stupid's' first pre-screening. Of course, she had always been a straightforward person, so under these circumstances, she would not be satisfied until she completely spoke her mind.
"I heard it was produced by a real estate tycoon," Tangning laughed.
"Although I'm not familiar with how the film industry works, Lu Che told me 'Stupid' is in a worrying situation. The attendance numbers may be used by others to humiliate Hai Rui. Is it really that bad?"
"I can only say that this will be a tough battle," Tangning replied in seriousness.

Meanwhile, in the office of Hai Rui's CEO.
Fang Yu was sitting opposite Mo Ting. His expression was casual and relaxed with a hint of amusement. Especially when he thought of 'Devil Shooter's' disgusting marketing tactics, he couldn't control his lips from curving upwards.
"I'm moved by the way they've helped us promote our film..."
"What are the shareholders' thoughts?" Mo Ting asked without lifting his head.
"The shareholders aren't worried. They've figured the other party are pretty much digging their own graves," Fang Yu replied leisurely.
The longer he stayed in Hai Rui, the more he appreciated a challenge. And the more he enjoyed working with projects like 'Stupid' that required them to put up a fight; not projects that were full of glitz and glamour with no drama.
Projects like that were too easy for him. Of course, if even he felt they were too easy, then to Mo Ting, they were nothing.
This was why, even though the public had already given 'Stupid' a death sentence, the two men in the office were still as calm as ever.
If someone insisted on comparing themselves with 'Stupid', they could compare all they wanted...
In the end, the last one left laughing was still to be determined.
"After tomorrow's pre-screening, organize another two pre-screening events of the same scale. Let's see the attendance numbers then," Mo Ting instructed calmly.
"Should we notify 'Devil Shooter' of the other two times?"

The pre-screening for the two films commenced at the same time at different theatres. Because of the hype around 'Devil Shooter', their tickets were in high demand and rare to get one's hands on. As a result, their attendance numbers were very high.
The industry had high hopes for the film because of the hype around it. Even if the storyline wasn't great, it didn't matter as long as fans were willing to pay...
On the other hand, the attendance numbers for 'Stupid' were quite average. But, no one knew, amongst the attendees, Mo Ting had invited some top class critics, film experts as well as representatives from film fan groups. These people's opinions were well-trusted.
So, after their first pre-screening, 'Devil Shooter' walked away with $10 million in ticket sales; almost double of what 'Stupid' received. But, the reviews slowly highlighted the difference in quality of the two films.
Some reviews wildly praised that the actors were extremely good looking and the storyline was exciting. These reviewers were obviously fans.
Meanwhile, film fans complained about the film to the point where they had nothing positive to say about it.
"A real estate tycoon's investment indeed can not be trusted. Even though he spent hundreds of millions, it could not save the movie from a lousy storyline."
"Wow! Xiangxiang was so hot in the film! Those that say the film wasn't good, must be blind."
"This film was so painful to watch. Even if I like a particular actor, I will never expose my eyes to such torture again."
On the contrary, 'Stupid' started off not attracting much attention since everyone was focused on the reviews for 'Devil Shooter'. But, quickly, the reviews of trusted sources began to stand out.
The first thing one of the famous verified personalities on social media did after watching 'Stupid', was vouch for Tangning.
He wrote an entire post titled, 'Tangning alone is enough to beat down next door!' As soon as the post went up, it triggered a wave of responses.
Since their rivals knew how to utilize Hai Rui's influence, Hai Rui also knew how to turn things around and utilize the popularity of their actors.
This verified personality had a lot of influence in the film industry.
This was the reason why Mo Ting insisted on inviting him to the pre-screening even though he had low expectations for 'Stupid' and Tangning...
However, after sitting in the theatre for 2 hours, he found himself walking out completely speechless.
He was so pleasantly surprised that he had an immediate urge to write down his opinion. Of course, he resisted until he finished watching the other films he had been invited to for the day. But, even as the day ended, the only thoughts he had in his mind, revolved around 'Stupid'...
"5 reasons to vouch for Tangning."
After reading the post a so-called 'insider' had previously posted to criticize 'Stupid', the verified personality wrote a completely opposing post.
His 5 reasons all boiled down to one.
It was simple. Tangning went from being a model to an actress, but her acting was miles better than the 'professionals' in the other film!
Attached to the post were a few pictures of scenes from the movie that included Tangning.
A post from an unknown source VS a post from a trusted film critic. The latter was definitely more influential...
With the public's curiosity towards Tangning piqued, the hype around 'Stupid' also increased quite dramatically. Hai Rui's first step was steady. It was so steady that 'Devil Shooter' started to worry.
But, they told themselves not to worry. The true results would be revealed after their official release.
No matter what the results were for the pre-screening, 'Devil Shooter' would definitely be screened much more often than 'Stupid'. This was something predetermined by the market.
But, when President Mo was involved - nothing was definite...


The night before their wedding, her fiancé ran off with his mistress.
Out of frustration, she grabbed the man standing in front of the Civil Affairs Office, "President Mo, your bride has not arrived and my groom has run away...May I suggest we get married?"

Orin had a confused expression on his face. However, he soon realized what these things were. They were obviously his statistics. He raised his hand so that his reflection would press the word [Body] and three more words appeared that were linked to the Body word. It seemed to be a sub menu. Reading the new words, his guess was right.

'Well, this just got complicated…' Orin furrowed his brows as he decided to press the [Output] word but nothing happened. It seemed it was only to show him its value. Orin decided to test them out later as he headed to the second word. 
As he pressed [Energy], like before, three more words appeared.

[Quantity: 15 Zeta]
[Traits: None.] 
'… I do have a general idea of what they probably mean, but I'll research it later on.'
Orin then raised his hand and was about to press the last word but he stopped. Inheritance… This had a more common name. Genes. They were rather obvious. Ever since the start of the Mutant's Era, people were able to mutate and evolve their genes. However, Orin was different. 
The reason was simple, he was a non-mutant. A week ago he was tested for a mutation in his school but he didn't prove any results. His school had an Awakening Event where they provided Z-Fuel for the student that couldn't afford to buy and integrate any genes. It was a charity, in a less grand phrasing. Poor students were given this chance on their third year, right before college.  This was implanted to not miss any talents, although rare. 
'Unexpectedly, I proved to have none. My father, 'Arcana's traitor', was known for his record-breaking talent. Even I, who tried to be as cool-headed as possible, believed that my life would change after the awakening. However, I was a non-mutant. Just like my mom. I remember how much she cried believing it was her fault.' 
The day afterward, his newly awakened classmates were now mutants. That included the people who took pleasure in bullying him. The same day, he was admitted to the hospital for several fractures. No one cared to investigate why even with his mother's pleading. He was able to heal fully because of the hospital's mutant doctors, but the bill was enormous. Debt. 
The day after his release, the kidnapping happened. Just thinking about this tightened Orin's chest. He hated this world and himself. Orin wanted to change everything. Now, this artifact told him that he can. The number '1' next to the word gene was his new ray of hope. It was his lottery ticket. Whether he would ascend the heavens or fall to hell depended on this. 
He took a deep breath and pressed the word. One more word appeared. It wasn't what he expected nor what he wanted. 
'Jackpot…' 
[Awakening]
Orin's hands trembled. If his guess was right, this would be a never-seen-before gene. If such a gene existed, then this mutant era would have flipped upside down. However, he still didn't know if this gene's function. Hopefully, the Stars Mirror, which was made by the Paths' Saint, Evaline, would know. Orin clicked. 'Holy shit…' 
[Awakening. Category: Psychic. Gene Expression: S. Function: Grants control of Zeta Energy to awaken hidden potential and modify it.]
'Is this even possible?' Orin grew silent. He couldn't say that he wasn't happy, but he was confused. It was possible to 'edit' genes? How does that exactly work? Furthermore, in the chance that someone did obtain this gene, what kind of control would be required to utilize it? Sure anyone can use an electronic microscope or the latest Z-microscope, but it's like using your hands to write something nanometer in size. 
As Orin was further confused as his thoughts went further, he spotted a button right next to the word [Awakening], it was a ► button. As Orin clicked it, a change happened to the mirror… 
… 
"Oh, you've woken up, eh? Want to go for another…?" The masked man smirked after he splashed Orin with cold water. As he finally regained his consciousness, Orin opened his eyes which now had a different light to them. The masked shut his mouth after meeting his gaze. Something was different and he knew it. However, he couldn't understand why such a light was coming from a dead man's eyes. To appease his subconscious fear, the man sent another punch which Orin received with zero resistance. 
Seeing this, the masked man was sure it was his imagination. After clicking his tongue, he spoke toward Orin with a voice colder than before. He exited the room after finishing his piece.
"I'll give you half an hour only before I kill you. If you keep your mouth shut, you're dead, pal." The man restored to this mental tactic since he knew torturing no longer worked. 
Orin kept silent as he followed the man with his eyes. After he left, Orin waited for a brief moment and took a deep breath. 
"Now then, shall the chaos begin?" Orin smirked coldly as the new-found confidence surged. With a light tug, he was able to break the handcuffs that tied him to the chair. Such a thing would be impossible for a normal human, but he wasn't one anymore. 
"Mirror, stimulate." Orin stood up and ordered. As the Stars Mirror spun faster, his body started regenerating at a visible rate. His broken bones started mending and his torn flesh started regenerating as the dead skin peeled off. In no time, his wounds healed completely. This was one of the functions of the gene Awakening, it can use Zeta Energy to engineer the GC-rich regions and CAAT boxes of the DNA strands to stimulate protein synthesis for a brief moment. This, in turn, stimulated the body healing. Of course, this came at the cost of depleting his body storage for the synthesis of the required Amino Acids. 
This was all basic knowledge for Orin, who also had the Star Mirror to work it out. Furthermore, Zeta Energy also had the function of stimulating the cells. His stomach started growling as hunger overtook him. Nutrients overdraft. He needed to eat something in order to carry out his plan. Luckily, the kidnappers kept an old fridge in the room to keep him alive throughout the torture. Furthermore, it had some potions that provided abundant Zeta Energy and the required nutrients to supplement healing. Orin drank the potion as his body kept healing itself. After a short while, Orin was as good as new.
